I've seen Humanist vampire seeking consenting suicidal person and it was so good! I was intrigued when my favorite booktuber saw it and was recommended it on her vlog. Only mentioning vampires intrigued me a lot.
It was really feel good movie which felt like only a minute past when it ended. Sasha as MC was really interesting and she kinda reminded me Maeve from Hotel transilvania.
If you want some uniquely done vampire movie, try this one. It's funny, touching and so good!

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person    [trailer]
A young woman vampire is unable to kill to meet her need for blood, but may have found a solution in a young man with suicidal tendencies.
It's more for a younger audience, a nice little variation of the coming-of-age vampire movie.
Darkly funny, also macabre, but at its core sincere and a little tragic.

"Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person"
An art house, vampire coming-of-age story that's decidedly cool, impossibly hip, and unique in a way that’s never annoyingly quirky.
My first thought that came to mind about “Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person” is that it reminds me of a film that was birthed from a marriage of Wes Anderson and Jean-Luc Godard. This art house, vampire coming-of-age story from director Ariane Louis-Seize is decidedly cool, impossibly hip, and unique in a way that’s never annoyingly quirky. Young and sensitive vampire Sasha…

Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person (Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant, dir. Ariane Louis-Seize) x VIFF 2023.
This is a surprisingly fresh take on teen vampires in the form of a low-key Quebecois coming-of-age indie comedy about trying to consume human blood and find victims ethically. Sara Montpetit and Félix-Antoine Bénard star as a 68-year-old undead woman in the body of a teenage girl and a depressed high schooler with suicidal tendencies. They form a sweet but strange bond as they try to earnestly help each other achieve their unconventional goals in life. Its exploration of the more mundane but annoying parts of vampiric life makes for an altogether humorous endeavour.
Screened at the 2023 Vancouver International Film Festival as part of the Altered States series and screening again at the VIFF Centre from Oct. 21–30.

2024 Horror Challenge: [72/?]
↳“Don't worry. I want to die." "Then why are you still here?” Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person (2023) dir. Ariane Louis-Seize
Plot: A young woman vampire is unable to kill to meet her need for blood, but may have found a solution in a young man with suicidal tendencies.
Starring: Sara Montpetit & Félix-Antoine Bénard
The way I made sure to copy & paste that title just so I could make sure I got it right before posting. lmao That said, I love it. It lets you know right away what kinda movie you're getting into. It's quirky and cute with its dark humor and a charming cast. It's not a story that's necessarily reinventing the wheel exactly. I'm sure people are gonna make the comparison to at least Let the Right One In/Let Me In because there is a similar quiet yet steady chemistry between the leads. People call this a romance and I can see where it can be called that since they form a strong connection with each other but they never actually take the step to visibly show it's beyond friendship. I personally was fine with either direction tbh (platonic or romantic) so it's cool. Regardless, I enjoyed them as a pair and the story for what it was. Nothing actually scary happened to call this a proper horror but well, it's labeled as a comedy horror so it counts for the challenge, and I had been curious about it. It was a pleasant enough watch, nothing too special but just what I needed from it. <3 And now time to watch the Speak No Evil remake. lol
