Request Prompt Writing Thirst-Day

Over on the @goodomensafterdark subreddit, I regularly take prompt requests that I work on for 30 minutes to an hour. This is an exercise that I like doing from time to time to stretch my creative muscles and challenge myself.

I am gonna look whether it takes here => taking prompts and writing a little blurb based on them!

Process:

Submit a prompt; I will answer with a written blurb as soon as I can (count 1 to 3 business days if I'm not overwhelmed by requests)

What types of prompts am I looking for?

Fandoms I can do stuff with: Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Good Omens, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball (Z/GT/Super), Nana, Eyeshield 21, My Hero Academia, Final Fantasy XIV-XV-XVI, ATLA/ALOK.

I need 3 concepts. Examples: might be simple words (wings, gloves), or a background music (Build Me Up Buttercup for example), a setting (Bentley, bookshop, cemetery), a type of situation (semi-public, very public, worried of being found out…), a genre, etc.

Do not request dub/noncon or domestic violence. I do hope that this goes without saying, but it's better by saying it.

Doujinshi 30 day challenge - Day 18

Day 18: Do you have doubles/triples of doujinshi and which?

It’s an Eyeshield 21 Ishimaru x Hiruma doujin by Punkish Dragoneer. I totally forgot that I had already bought and ended up bidding on another copy. Kind of tragic really. This is the main reason why I started cataloguing all of my doujins in spreadsheets, and more recently in a collector’s database.

I’ve thought about buying extra copies of some of my favourites, like K. Haruka’s ピンクの恐竜 [Pinku no kyōryū], but I’ve never actually done it yet. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time...

Well, guys, it’s finally ended! I honestly feel so relieved and proud of myself for completing this set despite how tough it was, but that was partly my fault. I came up with the idea shortly before September so I didn’t allow myself enough time to prepare the fics and had to force myself to write one every day which was soooo hard for me. But I did it! ^~^)/

Thank you so much for reading this set, I hope you enjoyed it! If you participated, thank you, as well, I hope you had fun doing it~ I hope to be better prepared for next year (if I decide to do it again)! So without further ado, I’d like to now show some stats to show how biased I am toward sports anime. Let’s goooo~!

Oh by the way, a message about the quotes: I was originally going to make each banner have a quote from the character of the fic, but for the lesser known characters *likewataricoughcough* it was impossible to find one and it was stressing me out trying to speed through episodes to get a quote while also rushing to get the fics written lol So I just decided to use random anime quotes from a different anime than the one in the fic!

Day 7: Favourite Coach

Eyeshield 21 doesn’t give coaches much importance, to be honest. They only show 6 counting the american ones and none do much for their team. All of them are pretty funny and most care a lot for their players, but I guess I’ll go with...

Leonard Apollo. He’s a racist, elitist bastard, yes. Did he irritate me to no end at the beginning? Yes. But you gotta admit he’s the butt of one of the funniest jokes.

He only appears two timees in the manga (he appears two more times in the anime), but they managed to squish in character development. In the begenning he treats Panther like shit, but he does end up giving him an opportunity to play, even if it was because he reminded him of himself.

He even teaches Panther all he nows, helping create the monster Panther is at the Internationals.

He is a flawed character, like all of the coaches which seem to have one big flaw or another, but he is interesting and he even got character development! Also, his showdown with Hiruma was hilarious, admit it.

Day 6: Favourite Secondary Character

I’m not sure who is supposed to be a secondary character and who isn’t, so I’l go safe:

Cerberus. What can I say, I’ve got a soft spot for dogs. Especially this one, since he’s the canine version of Hiruma. He just sleeps and eats all day, but he’s so badass you gotta love him.

I also love his reaationship with Butaberos and Hiruma.

All in all, he’s the kind of dog I’d love to have.

Day 5: Least Favourite Character

Finally! An easy one! The best about Eyeshield 21 is that it has a lot of great, colourful and funny characters. There are some that I don’t particularly like or feel indifferent for, but there’s only one character in the whole manga I can’t stand:

Donald Oberman AKA Mr Don. This guy is the most irritating asshole in the universe. I mean, look at this

Now imagine having to hear that during the whole freaking match. The Pentagram as a whole is filled with jerks (with the exception of Panther, of course), but at least they are either interesting, funny or appear in just 3 vignettes. This guy speaks quite a lot, with Yamato’s grudge and Gaou’s rivalry with him and it’s insufferable. And it’s not like he is totally bad or anything: he compliments Panther when he doesn’t cheat in the game and shows to be quite righteous in the scene with the fan kid. But he’s just. so. freaking. unbearable!

Ugh, I can’t stand him.

Day 3: Favourite Male Character

Hiruma Youichi. Not only my favourite character in th series, but my favourite character ever. He’s ridiculously smart and calculating yet covers it up acting crazy. He has a blackmail notebook, an obsession with guns and is often compared to a demon for obvious reasons.

Eyeshield 21 is really funny as a whole, with lots of great characters that add a comedic touch both intentionally or otherwise, but Hiruma probably creates the most hilarious scenes just by himself. I’m not sure what else to say at this point, so just look at these images.

Intelligent, funny, evil. Master of disguise, pathlogical liar, trigger-happy gun lover. Inspirational speeches, crazy plays and hilarious faces. What else can I say? He’s just the best.

Day 2: Least Favourite Team

There are a lot of teams we don’t even get a glimpse of that you could argue are my least favourite, basically because I know nothing of them. But out of all the important teams, my least favourite would be the Teikoku Alexanders

It’s an ace team that collects aces from all of Japan, so they haven’t lost the Xmas Bowl (the most important turnament in the series and our main characters’ dream) since it was first created. As a result, the school, the team and the players are very arrogant, with the exception of Karin (the only girl player in the series who also happens to be a cinammon roll) and maybe Achilles. The team works with a meritocratic system and they have a crazy amount of strings (six, I think?).

They take hierarchy very seriously. I know anime is exagerated, and this one is no exception, but c’mon...

The first string sits at the front and the last sits at the back. One of the players tries to leave the place early and he gets ordered to sit back down, because apparently the first string’s orders are absolute (does that ring a bell?? (KnB))

All in all, they were annoyingly arrogant during their arc and I was very happy when the Devil Bats shut their mouths.

Team Japan

All the big names join to take down America-sama. What’s there not to like? Although I suppose it doesn’t count as a team for the Challenge, not being an ‘official’ team, so to speak, so I’ll go with the Deimon Devil Bats.

They are the ones with the most screentime, therefore the most interesting.  Also, they are all huge dorks and I love these idiots.
