Things certainly had gotten more...lively since the Sendou family offered to take in Kamui, the boy with an affinity for technology that had no place else to go. He had caused quite a ruckus for the owners of Cast Capital upon his arrival to their small rural village all those months ago from what Emi was told. After having gotten to know him and lived under the same roof as him, that fact isn’t too surprising. He was as energetic and brash a kid at his age could be, a stark contrast to the youngest Sendou who seemed like the older sibling between her and Aichi to most people.

Currently, she was laying down on her stomach on a rug inside the small Sendou residence watching Kamui work on some of his little robots. Over time, she’s seen them get more and more complex as he got better with his mysterious magic and got more parts for them. Sadly, mechanical parts were a rarity in a place like this so far from the big cities and the Noble Houses, but that just made the discovery of a new part all the more exciting for the boy.

She thought it was cute. 

“So, what is this one going to do, Kamui? Are you finally going to make one to help with the dishes or laundry?” 

It’s a joke yeah, but a real machine that could wash dishes or their clothes all by itself would be a dream come true for her and her mother. Imagine just how much time they could save if they could have something do those chores for them. Emi might actually find the time to try and hone her magic potential, something she recently discovered she too inherited from her late father like Aichi but had not told anyone as of yet.

They had all been silent since managing to get pretty far away from the village where they had that run in with the Pale Moon Circus. Misaki and Kamui still didn’t know what happened, even after having set up camp as they usually did. Kai had returned to them earlier with Aichi passed out in his arms with his disguise almost broken without saying anything more than what was needed for them to escape. Then again, it wasn’t in his character to elaborate needlessly, a trait she shared with him. 

However, now that they were settled in with Aichi having woken up and Kai’s pendent having been repaired, the half kitsune feels like it’s time for a chat. The embers of the fire crackled as the woman moved to stand up from her comfortable position on a log to address the group as a whole. She knows getting information out of the two of them, mainly the flame dragon, isn’t going to be easy, but it needed to be done. Misaki and Kamui deserved to know what happened. All of it.

“It’s been long enough. I think it’s time we address the...elephant in the room.” Her serious yet soft gaze shifts towards Kai, the one person who was conscious for the entire encounter. Aichi’s expression looked hesitant, but he chooses to not intervene on the converation. “Please, please tell us what happened, Kai. Tell us everything. This...This wasn’t a normal encounter with the circus, was it? That much is obvious by how you were when we found you and Aichi.”

You would drop a random ship I've never thought about on me wouldn't you, bestie LOL, But, the idea of it sounds cute enough. Light and Serena are both a bit awkward in certain aspects and have 'daddy issues' and do not exactly like being compared to someone else. I think they can find common ground in that. But Serena is very inept in the romance area, so I think it could lead to a lot of misunderstanding between them. I also have never considered Light in a romantic scenario before so that be interesting.

Considering you drew the icon art I have here (which ty as always for letting me icon your art), we share the same opinion. My crossover ship with @senpujin is one of my fav ships I've ever written, and Setsuna truly is IMO Tasuku's soulmate and I just adore them. I adore their star and moon theme, their support of one another, their singer-musician angle, and how they are both supportive of each other and are understanding of their situations. I miss them dearly and hope I can write more for it again someday if Emma decides to bring her Setsuna back at all.

CFV IfMate (Or as I call it, Legion Mate 2 Electric Boogaloo)

A canon divergent verse combining the aspects of the seasons of Legion Mate and IF with flair from Vanguard G!

The long dream should have ended with Toshiki Kai’s victory. He was supposed to have beaten Aichi Sendou, releasing the dormant Link Joker seed from within him and with help from Blaster Blade, spread it’s broken pieces across the world and begin the acceptance of the entity as a clan on Planet Cray. That was what the correct history should have been.

But it wasn’t.

Toshiki Kai was defeated at the hands of Aichi Sendou, and as a result, he had to honor the promise he made. After all, the results of a Vanguard fight are sacred to Vanguard Cardfighters. Aichi does the same to Leon, Ren, and Naoki, defeating them and thus forcing them to honor their promises as well.

And with that...the world was once again a place where no one remembered the legendary hero known as Aichi Sendou, whose slumber was guarded by four Quatre Knights and a maiden knight who will protect his sealed form forever...

Three years pass since the world’s memories were once again manipulated, and everyone’s lives had continued on. Emi Sendou and Kamui Katsuragi graduated middle school and entered into high school. Misaki Tokura and Miwa Taishi had graduated high school and entered university, and the second Card Capital Shop had been built with Kamui as an employee. Rekka Tatsunagi and Suiko Tatsunagi continued as a pop idol duo, with no one remembering their third member. Asaka continued to be a prime member of Asteroid, doing what she can to manage the falling organization whose leader went missing.

One day, Emi Sendou makes contact with Toshiki Kai again, a strong cardfighter and regular at Card Capital that had gone to the Euro League after he graduated. He often had stopped by the Sendou Residence prior to his departure, providing them with baked goods or offered to do housework for them. Even being away, he still sent them things in the mail. She didn’t ever understand why an acquaintance would go out of their way for them, but Kai always explained it as he was just helping them out like any good neighbor would.

Seeing him visiting Japan again, when his friends said they hadn’t seen him in years, makes her start to question things, but he doesn’t give her a straight answer. But...something about what he says, a little slip of the tongue, causes a crack that eventually breaks the barrier blocking her to her sealed memories.

Emi Sendou had a brother, a brother who went missing, a brother who was loved by all, a brother who saved the world... And she was now the only one among the regular folk who remembered him.

Following down a similar path as Toshiki Kai did before her, Emi slowly starts gathering ‘mates’, comrades who she begins to help slowly remember Aichi. Together, they not only desire to bring him back home, but also bring back the missing people from their lives, Ren, Leon, Naoki, Kourin, and Kai, who had been honor bound into doing something they all desperately didn’t want to happen in the first place...

Will history repeat itself with the mates failing to save the forgotten Vanguard, or will it be second times the charm? Guess only time will tell as the story unfolds...

One of my new favorite developments (because there is always something new going on in this AU that never will stop expanding LOL) in the ongoing epic known as the Nobles of Nature AU with myself, @abysseeker @extremebattler and @moonlitmarquis that I just need to gush about for a sec is that of the Eden House's main family consisting of the head Lady Eve, her dragon husband Adam / G.O.D. Eyes, and their two adopted dragon kids: Olivier / Prominence Glare & Phantom / Yuji (since we have anime Yuya in this verse too, written by Crix, we decided to give Phantom/Manga Yuya a different real name in this verse to distinguish the two).

I just l love this idea of Eve and Adam, these individuals of two different people who fell in love and work so hard to stay together despite the cruel world they live in, adopting not one but two orphan dragon kids and giving them legit the best home in the world. Seriously, these two got the best upbringing out of the cast IMO, a place where they did not have to hide their dragonic nature and got well taken care of, educated, and able to travel as they pleased. Eve and Adam are best parents y'alll. ;;;;

And their two kids repay that kindness by becoming two of the major antagonists in the plot but you know....I blame that on their baggage and childhood trauma on that than Eve and Adam's parenting

Plus, their set up makes them further tied to everything due to Eve's familial connection to the Akabas (she is sisters with one of the three women Leo had kids with, meaning some of them, aka Ray, Yuzu, Serena, and Rin, are cousins to Olivier and Phantom.), Phantom being Yuya's long lost twin brother (that only Zarc and Yuto know about because PLOT), Olivier's connections to Aichi, Jaime, Takuto, and Kourin.

Nobles continues to become more in-depth and complicated by the day (especially as we all add more muses LOL) but that's the fun and challenge of it. A good time that I'm thankful to Crix and the gang for developing with me!

I really gotta make more lore posts and a timeline to keep all this new stuff straight one of these days because this is becoming Game of Thrones levels of complex LOL
