Character Description:

Masanori Iseki, voiced by Shūta Morishima, is one of the major characters in both the Cardfight Vanguard D and DZ series. Introduced initially as Tohya' Ebata's alley, Masanori is a very mysterious character who is often hard to read, especially because he is overly eccentric and calculating. But don't let his being a Buddhist monk fool you. This guy is quite far from being 'holy'. He was chosen to be holder of the Fated One of Taboo card, after all.

This dude thrives off of chaos and breaking down people to their lowest point to reveal their true self. To do this, or to accomplish other goals of his, he is prepared to manipulate and humiliate you with his cunning. He also has a deep sense of curiosity and interest in the unknown as well.

Masanori uses the nation of Stoicheia deck focused on his avatar, Zorga, whose current form is Fated One of Taboo, Zorga Nadir. Zorga is a ghost who was formally a member of Captain Nightmist of Grandblue's Crew and is one of the oldest units on Planet Cray to this day.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Since you seem to have an affinity for antagonists, anti-heros, and chaotic figures, Masanori fits that bill pretty well. He is a character I imagine one can have a ton of fun writing, from both his chaotic theatrics to exploring his complexities. I think you'd do him really well and would have a blast while doing it! Plus, Zorga is such cool ace card!

@shachou Ani, our local Kaiba Collector Queen, I know we've only been writing together for about six months (Happy Half-Year RP Friend/Partner anniversary!), but it feels like it's been longer because I swear when I try to write a not novel length reply to our stuff it just COMES OUT. I thank you for keeping up with me and my wordyness, and for all the wonderful plotting and development we've gotten to do with our writing! Your Setos (both president and priest) are so well crafted, and I genuinely feel like they've jumped off the pages of the manga with your attention to detail with every aspect of them in your portrayals. Character Description:

Katsumi Morikawa, voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama, is one of the major supporting characters in the original Cardfight Vanguard series. A Card Capital regular, Morikawa started off as a bully to the series' protagonist Aichi Sendou, stealing his precious Blaster Blade card in order to use it to beat against the guy who beat him last: Toshiki Kai. However, after witnessing Aichi's first game against Kai and how different he seemed to be when he fought so hard to get his card back, he came to respect him and call him a friend. He is always seen hanging out at Card Captial with his best bud, Izaki, and tries to get involved with whatever the main gang is doing.

Morikawa is the very definition of a passionate guy. He is an overly enthusiastic individual with great pride in his skills, but also enjoys being a mentor to others in the gaming space and even calls Aichi his 'pupil'. He is also a big fan of the pop idol group Ultra Rare, having a hug crush on Kourin Tatsunagi in particular. The guy has a bigger heart than his brain and is very reckless and a bit dumb, but he's very lovable and always tries his best.

Morikawa doesn't use primarily one clan in his deck like most of the cast, with the only real consistent thing about his decks is how many Grade 3's he stuffs into it (because in his words, they are the best!). However, because of this his decks are often very unbalanced and borderline unplayable, which is why he loses most of his fights. When given a proper deck, his skill really shines. The card most associated with him is Juggernaut Maximum, a cyborg defensive tackler in the Spike Brother's clan.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Morikawa is the vanguard equivalent to Kuwabara, and I think that speaks for itself as to who you'd vibe well with him. More than just that, Morikawa is a very comedic character with a lot of heart and unexplored potential I think you'd do amazing at fleshing out. Plus, he's so harsh darn lovable and so fun to watch on screen (he's a big fan favorite and the center of a ton of memes) that I think you'd really enjoy writing! Legit he'd be the king of dash shenangins. Also, he'd fit perfectly into YYH so there's that too.

Character Description:

Kyou Yahagi, voiced by, Akeno Watanabe, is one of the minor antagonists throughout the original series (but is also featured in the V series as well). The self-proclaimed 'Crusher Kyou' is one of the four members of Team Asteroid / AL4, the two-time champions of the Japanese Vanguard National tournament. He is the lowest-ranked member and the youngest of the four, making people easily look down on him despite his skill. Compared to his teammates, Asaka Narumi and Tetsu Shinjou, he has no respect for their leader, Ren Suzugamori. In fact, he wishes to usurp Ren and take control of the Foo Fighter/Asteroid organization.

Yes, Kyou has a ton of pride and an ego that rivals Seto Kaiba. He is very much the kind of person who will be a menace and do whatever he can to achieve his goals. This includes pulling schemes and infiltrating tournaments to get back at those who wronged him. Yes, he's very driven by revenge against his enemies and loves laughing and humiliating others. However, he harbors a fear of PSYqualia, the mysterious power made famous by Ren that grants him his overwhelming strength in Cardfights.

Kyou uses primarily a deck featuring the Spike Brothers clan, a group of athletes inspired by American Football and Rugby consisting of ogres, demons, giants, warbeasts, succubi, and workroids. He has had various boss units throughout the series, but his main avatar to me is Exceptional Expertise, Rising Nova, who bears some resemblance to him.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

L, you always have a love for smol gremlins, antagonists, and characters who get misunderstood by the cast and even fandoms, so Kyou seems like the perfect match for you. We do not have like any information on his backstory either, and I know you'd cook up something amazing for him. Plus, he can be a bit of a tsundere and is very aggressive, matching the vibe of some of your other muses. He also is very similar to S0 Mokuba and Noa, so there's that too. Overall, I think you'd grow very attached to Kyou and would have a ton of fun writing him!

Character Description:

Leon Soryu, voiced by Daichi Kanbara, has been a stable character in the Cardfight Vanguard original series since his introduction in the second season. One of the last members of the legendary Soryu people and having the unique power known as PSYqualia, Leon is the leader of Team Dreadnaught and called 'The Child of Soryu'. He grew up on an isolated island with his two companions, a pair of twins known as Sharlene Chen and Jillian Chen, where they believed they would never leave this island or reclaim their people's former glory. Unable to bear the despair of his comrades, Leon made a deal that would potentially open the road for the Soryus to rule the seven seas once more, but at a terrible cost...

Leon is very calm, cool, and collected with an attitude of doesn't-care-about-anybody. However, he has an intense passion and power on display in Cardfights and a determination to restore his people's glory, willing to do whatever he can to make that happen. He does eventually over the course of the series begin to open up to others a bit more and get over the ego he has just a bit.

Leon wields the legendary Aqua Force clan, focusing on the Blue Storm and Blue Wave archetypes. His avatar is Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom, the strongest warrior of the Aqua Force clan that proudly serves as an aircraft carrier with a body far larger than even a Dreadnought Class Battleship.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Yumi, all the muses I've known you to write have an air of nobility to them in some form, and Leon definitely fits into that vibe! He also is a complex character with some grey areas and goes through a lot of character development as a result. I also think you'd have fun expanding on the Soryu and Aqua Force lore, and enjoy using his unique powers of 'the wind'. Plus, he's very pretty and has a badass deck!

Character Description:

Luna Yumizuki, voiced by Haruka Kudo, is one of the key characters of both Cardfight Vanguard G Gears Crisis and Stride Gate. One half of the Vanguard Idol group Rummy Labyrinth, Luna is bubbly, innocent, and definitely a bit clumsy. In spite of that, she is very dedicated to her job as an idol, working hard to reach the level of her co-star and best friend, Am. She is new to Vanguard when she is introduced, but quickly becomes quite the player with enough support and practice.

Her greatest strength is her strong heart and dedication to her friends. Even if she can be a bit socially awkward, she always tries her best for those around her. She truly admires Am and will follow her anywhere, even if that means going down a dark road where she may have to go against the other friends she's made...

Luna uses a Pale Moon Deck focused on her avatar Masked Magician, Harri, a circus magician who is dubbed as a genius of the era who is the son of a dragon tamer.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Moon-themed? Bubbly? Big heart? Will legit sacrifice herself for the friends she loves? Yeah, you can see why I think you fit her vibe, Moon Mom. As a former Luna mun myself, I can attest that you'd do her well and would have a ton of fun (shes an idol, so that has a ton of potential there for fun stuff)! Plus, I think she'd be a super cute senshi in a Sailor Moon verse.

Character Description:

Suiko Tatsunagi, voiced by Aimi Terakawa, was introduced in the first season of the original series and is a constant supporting character throughout the first 3 seasons. She is the eldest of the three Tatsunagi sisters that make up the Vanguard pop idol group Ultra Rare who run Card Shop PSY and is definitely the most mature. Of the three sisters, she is the one who is always calm, cool, and collected, never straying away from the task at hand even at the potential downsides to it and is good at keeping her intentions secret.

She is a straight forward person who values logic and strategy over luck and brute force, and this translates well into her playing style. And despite her calm and professional exterior, she definitely has a temper if you pis her off, like when anyone calls her 'old' (she's actually 17 but people think shes way older). Suiko also has a playful side to her that comes out especially around her sisters.

Suiko plays an Angel Feather deck, and her ace unit is Chief Nurse Shamsiel, a chief angelic nurse with syringes on her wings who supervises the 'quirky' Angel Feather nurses.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Suiko is very similar in a lot of ways to characters you've written, like Boton and Ja'far. Very professional and good at their job who values logic and has a slight playful side and has some mom friend vibes. I think she is someone you would flesh out wonderfully, because of the three sisters, Suiko gets the least amount of focus (In the og series anyway, she gets a leading role in the IF spin off though). I think you'd enjoy her playful side and her intelligence. Plus, since she's an idol, you can have fun with that aspect too! You'd do her amazing IMO!

Character Description:

Jun Mutsuki, voiced by Kenji Nojima, was introduced in the 36th episode of the original series' first season as a side character. This 15 year old (yes he's only 15, ICB it either) is known as the King of Underground Fights and runs his own underground fighting ring in an alley in the city where cheating and dirty tactics are fair game. He has quite the reputation for being a strong Cardfighter, amassing quite a following of underground players, and managed to get a prototype motion figure system (aka their world's solid vision equivalent) in his possession.

However, despite the nature of the fights he oversees (and him using dirty tactics outside of games), he actually prefers to play fair and square, wanting to prove his strength he boasts about. He is very much a 'bad boy' who forges his own path in his own space, believing that there is a dark to every light, and he is that dark. Though, his respect can be earned and once you've earned it, he will help you out if need be. He also cares very much about his fellow underground fighters as well.

He uses two decks throughout the series. The first is a Dark Irregulars deck, focusing on the card Edel Rose who is a vampire chick with an edge. The second, and his main deck, is a Dimension Police deck focussing on his avatar/ace card Galatic Beast, Zeal, an alien monster who the main heroes of the clan fight. It's as he says. All heroes need a villain to fight against, and his deck is that.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Levi, you have a wonderful talent for taking underappreciated supporting and side characters and fleshing them out so well. And I think you'd do the same with Jun. He hits the cool, darker 'bad boy' vibe that Otogi has, but also has an interesting philosophy and persona as the King of Underground Fights I think you'd enjoy exploring. Plus, writing essentially a card game gang leader who is actually kinda honorable in battle sounds so fun and interesting! I think you'd have a blast and do him so well!

Character Description:

Kazuma Shouji, voiced by Shogo Batori, was introduced in the fourth season of Cardfight Vanguard's second generation series (aka their YGO GX), Cardfight Vanguard G NEXT. He is a high school student and member of Team Striders, a team consisting of himself, Taiyou Asukawa, and the series' protagonist, Chrono Shindou. He is also the younger step-brother of Kazumi Onimaru, who is one of the season's 'antagonists'.

Kazuma is a no-nonsense person with a broody exterior and a lot of emotional baggage and confidence issues. At the start, whenever he is about to lose a game, he is quick to give up, seeing there is no point in finishing it when he's not going to win. He's also definitely a lone wolf at the start, but thanks to his teammates who refused to give up on him, he learns to open up more to his emotions, gain confidence in himself, and become a stronger Cardfighter.

He uses a deck focusing on the Shadow Paladin Clan, with his avatar (ace card) being Dragheart, Luard, a dragowizard who was raised by a knight of Shadow Paladin and eventually shifted from training swordplay to training sorcery.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Kazuma is in the vein of your characters Tami with an edge and a lot of emotional baggage (Inuyasha comes to mind) who learn to open up to others and become stronger. I also think since Kazuma's def a tsundere you'd do well with those moments he gets all embarrassed and have a lot of fun with them! He's the dark and broody but is also very pretty and cool to boot! I think you'd like him a lot ^^ Plus, who does not love dragowizards?! Legit Luard is such a cool ace unit!

Oh, that sprite is based off this from the manga actually, and there he is actually more determined.

Mokuba may not show his anger as often as his brother, but he has a temper. He feels emotions very strongly.

This is a ship I feel has as much romantic as it does platonic appeal, and it's one I've been thinking about due to all the fanart (which a lot of it is cute and funny) I've seen while looking for Yugi things for my queue. Kaiba and Yugi did not get to interact as much after a certain point due to Atem taking that spotlight and becoming Kaiba's rival, but from what we know about their dynamic, they both would (especially post canon / post dsod) get along pretty well.

The biggest things they both have in common is a love of games and a hardworking attitude. They both are such nerds about gaming I cannot help but see them just essentially talking in their own language no one can understand. I also think they respect each other a lot, and we know Yugi has expressed interest in wanting to play games with Kaiba and getting to be his friend. He's also shown concern for Kaiba such as during Duelist Kingdom and has been pretty quick to forget the bad stuff he did too (but that merciful / forgiving nature of Yugi is such a key part of his character).

I think they have the potential to either be an adorable short king and tall king couple (with no doubt notes of co-worker romantic stuff due to at least manga wise them collaborating like in Takahashi's art he drew for a post DSOD idea) or gaming besties with enough time and development (mainly because any dynamic with Kaiba is gonna be developed slowly cause well it's Kaiba LOL).

I'd love to explore the dynamic either way with my Yugi, honestly. Curious how my Yugi's dynamic with Ani's Kaiba ( @shacchou ) will develop.

I feel the same way about this pairing that I do with Yusei with Jack or Crow. My interpretation is that Yusei sees all three members of Team Satisfaction as his brothers, and those, he has a strong familial bond with all three of them. That's why I think he is willing to give himself up for Kiryu by turning himself in aside from his selfless nature.

I 100% get the appeal as to why people would and do ship this pairing, especially due to the angsty nature and childhood friends parts of their dynamic,it just is not for me!

(Okay this is gonna be interesting since I don't know much about Vegas but let's give it a shot!)

The Venemous Spider is a popular nightclub on the Vegas Strip, located inside the Parthevia Hotel, a popular hotel themed to waterfront land in the Middle East. The hotel itself was one of the more luxurious hotels in its heyday when Serendine's father opened the place years ago, but has fallen from being the prime place to stay due to fierce competition from its neighbors.

The nightclub is owned by Serendine, the daughter of the hotel's owner, and is a rather secret and underground location meant for the criminal underworld of the strip. It is a nightclub that focuses on three things: extreme drinks, dancing, and cage matches. Patrons can get a taste of exotic drink combinations, known as Poisons, that will get them wasted with just one sip. They can dance the night away to all the newest songs, all the while drinking their worries away.

And then there was the cage fights, a place where warriors from far and wide come to show their stuff for the masses. Despite it being in such a place, it was the number one fight club in the area, holding matches from wrestling to actual death matches where one's life was on the line. One of her shining stars, from a group of individuals known as the Sham Lash, was named Ja'far, a man who was very capable despite his smaller size compared to his opponents, who often took in death matches using knives and poisons as his weapons.

Despite the two of them personality-wise not getting along, he brought her money and she brought him challenging opponents. They were both using together in that sense, but neither seemed to care as long as they got what they want in the end.

Character Description:

Tohya Ebata, voiced by Yuma Uchida, is one of the lead characters of the Cardfight Vanguard D-series. Described as a powerhouse fighter, Tohya is an incredibly strong Vanguard player. However, he has always felt conflicted about his path in life. He's been a strong student with aspirations of becoming a doctor, and after being given a Vanguard deck by his grandmother, he fell in love with the game. However, he faced harsh criticism from his parents for playing the game instead of studying. Following the death of his grandmother, he vowed to quit Vanguard forever...after he beats Danji Momoyama, the leader of Team Blackout.

Tohya carries a strong sense of responsibility on his shoulders and is a hard worker, dedicating himself strongly to whatever he focuses on. He is also a very determined individual willing to do what he has to achieve his goals (even if it's something bad like oh IDK...destroying property LMFAO). However, he does have a clear passion and excitement for Vanguard that leads him to spend money on sealed card game products often, and he grows throughout the series thanks to the support of Team Blackout, finding his own path.

Tohya plays a deck in the Keter Sanctuary Nation headed by his Avatar, Sword of the People, Bastion Accord, who is a cool knight on a horse who in the lore is a bit of a jerk but like Tohya, goes through development.

Why Do I Think You'd Write Them:

Tohya is right up your alley Percival as a good boy with the weight of so much on his shoulders who ends up struggling and going through a big chr arc. He is a really interesting character I think you'd enjoy diving into, especially how he 'recovers' after some mistakes he makes. I also think his enthusiasm for Vanguard and how his own arc mirrors the card lore of his avatar would be fun to play around with too! Also, he's very pretty, look at him!
