It's been a rollercoaster of a year. I am eternally grateful to have have this strange blue website and specifically this blog to come back to again and again as a touchstone. Thank you to all the people who made this year on the internet's number one Beloved Hellsite extra wonderful. I am so lucky to have you all as mutuals and friends. Here's hoping for a new year full of new laughs and great stories!!

Okay I'm gonna shuffle my afternoon playlist cause I have like. 80 playlists. and this one is one of the biggest (28hrs long) and has a pretty diverse collection of music.

Lose It - Oh Wonder - Oh Wonder's sound is so unique and so easy to listen to. Great upbeat tempo but still chilllll.

Colorblind - Beach Bunny - Angry girl pop. Love the singers voice.

Alive With The Glory Of Love - Say Anything - Genuinely one of my favorite first verses of a song ever. Given to me by a best friend.

Asphalt Meadows - Death Cab for Cutie - Vibes for driving late at night while feeling half in love with life and half hopeless. GREAT lyrics.

Crowded Table - The Highwomen - I WANT A HOUSE WITH A CROWDED TABLE! AND A PLACE BY THE FIRE FOR EVERYONE! Anyone who doesn't like country has never heard this song.

Devil Town - Cavetown - Earworm of a song. Auditory vertigo /pos. More angry girl pop lol.

1. i play roller derby! currently i skate with a league in my state capital (though obviously we havent been skating since february). im still working on passing my msr’s (minimum skills requirements), but when i do im hoping to be a jammer or a pivot!

2. my apartment is one of my favourite places, and i honestly still marvel at how i lucked into it. when i moved to the coast it was a spontaneous whirlwind. a job id applied for on a whim called me on a tuesday for an interview across the country on thursday. two weeks later i was quitting my job, negotiating ending my lease six months early, and moving a thousand miles from everyone i knew. i needed a place to move into right away and stumbled upon an advert for an apartment that needed a tenant asap due to a break in lease. i contacted the landlord and said i wanted to move in, sight unseen. it ended up being the most spectacular ocean side studio. ive got a private balcony, a skylight, tons of windows and natural light, and a view of the harbor and the quaint downtown of where i live, offset by the mountains. in the summer i get to watch the schooners and cutters sail in and out of port. it’s the most perfect place 💖

3. ive been singing chorally for most of my life, and it’s the reason i will probably never do hormone replacement (even though it would probably help a lot with my dysphoria). im a soprano i and those moments when i get to sing descant, it’s like the notes are floating above the scale and im right there with them. it’s hard to describe. but it’s the most wondrous, freeing experience.

4. my favourite pastime is hiking!! ESPECIALLY rocky coastal or mountain hiking. i loooove clambering over rocks!!! im not necessarily in shape lol, so most of my time on the way to summits is spent whispering curses under my breath. but i like the challenge! and i live in a quiet enough state that most times i spend my entire hike in isolation which is what i really hike for. it’s an opportunity to spend hours alone completely immersed in the quiet of nature. it’s astoundingly peaceful.

5. WE SAW A SHOOTING STAR ON MY BIRTHDAY TUESDAY WHEN MY FRIEND AND I WERE HOLDING HANDS AND STARGAZING IT WAS TRULY MAGICAL LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL WOW I LOVE SPACE AND FRIENDSHIP!!!
