Sorry about the double (even triple) post, but I realized too late that I set the first poll to the wrong length. On top of that, the post with the fixed poll is completely uneditable.
So here's take 3!

FFXIVWrite (Day 22) - Meet and Greet (Extra Credit)
Note: This is a Modern AU where Haurchefant is a Vtuber. Because of course.
Riida’s heart can’t stop thumping.
She couldn’t believe her eyes when she first saw that email.
A one in a one-in-a-million dream, and yet she’s already on line with a confirmation wristband wrapped snugly around her.
To think she won the lotto to the meet and greet of her favorite Vtuber, Haurchefant the Knight!
She had been a fan of his since his debut and was there for all of his big milestones. At every official and fan meetup, she was there. Hell, she even went out of her way to make her own cake to celebrate his birthday! It had come to a point where people started associating her with him on Twitter and elevated her to superfan status.
Although she had been a big fan of Vtubers for a long time before Haurchefant came along, there was something about him that made her heart flutter. Was it his beautiful model? His handsome voice? Or that rich laugh he makes when she sends him a cheesy joke through her tips? There was just something about him that made her light up in a way.
Never thought she’d see the day when she’d be going to the same convention as him. He’ll be having a panel alongside his other genmates that make up the Ishgardian Squad, but they were also having a meet and greet through lottery.
“Next!”
Ah! That’s her!
With anxious breath, she walked around the hidden curtain and her heart stopped.
Normally with Vtubers, it would be their avatar on a horizontal monitor with a speaker and mic so you can have a conversation with them and then take a group photo afterward. Sometimes they’ll be there in person, but that’s often pretty rare.
And to think he’s physically standing there in the flesh, decked out with an actual replica of his model down to those cute elf ears of his…Riida feels like she’s going to pass out.
“Welcome, my friend!” He beckons her over. “So glad you’re able to come.”
Riida takes a deep breath. “H-Hi…It’s an honor to meet you…”
When she steps closer, Haurchefant gingerly takes her hand in his for a light handshake. His hand was so soft it made it hard to concentrate on anything else.
Stay strong for you kami oshi, Riida!

╔══ஓ๑†๑ஓ══╗
Personality
╚══ஓ๑†๑ஓ══╝
Kiara's a sweetheart! A very trusting and compassionate individual who's a little behind in terms of understanding most social cues.
She cherishes the people around her, especially people she considers close friends! And as much as it's hard for her to accept, Kiara will always be happy for every choice her friends make for themselves — even if they end up leaving her behind in the process.
As the younger sister to the Marquess Rhys, it's no surprise that there's an air of poise and precision in most of the things Kiara does. Most of the students in Pomefiore often say it's because Victoria was there to guide her growing up — being in-laws, after all.
Once Kiara has a goal in mind, there's very little a person can do that can deter her from it!... Most of the time.
Sweet as she can be, Kiara's had a long-standing issue of wanting to please everyone around her. If someone close to her had an opinion on something, she'd usually agree with them even if their opinion goes against her own.
This is especially a problem concerning how she handles situations where discipline is required. Many in Pomefiore think that the only bad thing about Kiara is that she's ‘too nice’, and lets people off too easily. Hell, even Kiara herself acknowledges that and does her best to move past that habit of hers.
But old habits die hard, your honor.
And with how much Kiara yearns for something long-lasting without being deceived… Situations like that usually don't end well.

Unique Magic: Whirlwind Frost (旋風の霜)
❅ A variant of a hereditary ability that allows its user to create a whirlwind made entirely out of ice, and direct it to a specific direction.
This ability requires a great deal of magical energy from the user, and is — more or less — uncontrollable unless the user is using a specific object with a magestone inlaid on it.
❆ In Kiara's case, the object in question is the fan her brother gave her shortly after she manifested her unique magic.
Using her fan, Kiara can redirect the whirlwind to a specific direction; And only on the specific direction chosen by her.
†•°•══════ஓ๑𓄿๑ஓ══════•°•†
╔══ஓ๑†๑ஓ══╗
Thoughts on them
╚══ஓ๑†๑ஓ══╝
“Impressive girl, she is. Compared to her less than tolerable in-law, Kiara's far less judgmental of my decisions as a housewarden. Perhaps too nonjudgmental.”
— Vil Schoenheit, housewarden of Pomefiore
“She’s a sweetheart, isn't she? My little sister's such an angel!! I don't understand how anyone could think negatively of her… Kiara's only doing the best she can, and as her older brother, I want the best for her. It's what Mother and Father would've wanted, as well.”
— Minami Rhys, Kiara's older brother
“... Endearing.”
— Victoria Shard, Kiara's in-law

❅ Kiara was one of the only people who knew about what Grimhilde had done to Victoria growing up.
↳ Due to certain circumstances, however, she was — and still is — unable to reveal what she knows, even after Grimhilde had died.
❆ Minami’s incredibly protective over her. Even the slightest mention of a significant other pushes Kiara's brother over the edge. She's lost count of how many times he's given her the ‘men are wolves’ speech.
❅ During ‘cousin karaoke nights’, Kiara would grimace every time it was Camilla's turn to sing. She's too nice to say anything to her fellow-in-law about her subpar singing abilities.
❆ Speaking of singing, there have been rumors going around that — other than dancing — Kiara's actually a wonderful singer! She's never actually confirmed this publicly, however.
❅ She's very supportive of her brother being married to Yona! Sure, it can get a little weird with how easily lovey-dovey the two of them are with one another, but Kiara's supporting them regardless and that's what matters!
❆ Kiara's basically been the surrogate older sibling for most of Mercury's life. It's why he trusts her so much.
❅ After hearing about what happened between Victoria and Pomefiore's previous housewarden, it's been getting hard for Kiara not to picture what could've been.
Given how stubborn Kiara can be from time to time, it shouldn't be surprising that she's not gonna back down and holding herself back from someone underestimating her abilities as both a swordsman and a mage.
❅ She carries her fan with her at all times. With how uncontrollable Whirlwind Frost can get, it isn't all that surprising. It basically acts like a spelldrive for her!
❆ …. Can someone explain the tension surrounding Victoria and Malleus Draconia, Kiara's getting the impression that this sort of tension shouldn't be there-

Is there a way to calculate gems? I sadly had to hit pity on NY kalim and now funding is low, so now i have to decide between my favorite Oshi (sebeks Union) or the anniversary ://
These are my SSRs if that matters, was planning on getting dorm Azul if anniversary was a smarter idea
Tumblr media
Hello spudling,
If you are F2P, you can get
60 gems per week from if you login every single day.
60 gems per week from the weekly missions.
10 keys for every character's birthday.
10 keys for your own birthday.
3 keys per month from the exam token shop.
You can spend 300 gems for 13 keys if you buy both key packs in the gem shop per key. This is a net gain of 3 pulls. It is highly recommended that you buy these every month.
With this information you can figure out how many pulls you can get before Sebek's birthday excluding the gems and keys you get from missions, events, and vignettes. Here's our guide on how to quickly farm gems and keys.
In case you still need help deciding if EN does another token banner before the next anniversary, my recommendations in order.
Dorm Azul - He is perfect for Fire Basic and Fire Defense because of his double water elements and especially his heal. Dorm Riddle and Dorm Jade are good to add to both teams as well. Riddle for mutual duos for fire basic. Riddle can also use for more power your defense team cannot end on Turn 5-1. Dorm Jade also has good elements to pair with Azul and to boost his ATK.
Dorm Trey - Dorm Trey and Dorm Cater has really good synergy and can be used basically every defense exam type. It's also extra nice to be able to do Double Dorm Trey during the Unified Exams because of his chonky HP.
Dorm Vil - Dorm Vil and Dorm Leona for water basic. Bday Epel could be used for either Water test teams for an additional Duo. You could also pair Dorm Vil with FG Leona for water defense along with NY Kalim.

This Week in Caps: Week 10
Welcome to This Week in Caps, a weekly newsletter where I recap everything important that’s been going on in the world of the Washington Capitals this past week.
This Week’s Games
12/04/18 @ Vegas Golden Knights, L 3-5
Tumblr media
The Caps returned to the scene of their Stanley Cup victory for the very first time in a highly anticipated matchup. Vegas had been on their best stretch of the season, and the Caps were leading the Metro. This was lining up to be a good one.
It was also a penalty-filled game. Brett Connolly was called for goaltender interference one minute into the game, and Ryan Reaves tapped in a goal on the ensuing power play for an early 1-0 Vegas lead. The Caps answered back later in the frame — Connolly broke into the zone and passed the puck to Jakub Vrana, who sent it home to tie the game 1-1.
The game was also an incredibly physical one. Tom Wilson was chippy with Reaves all game long. Alex Ovechkin completely wrecked Tomas Nosek. Wilson laid a great hit on Daniel Carr.
Things got very strange in the second period when Nick Holden’s stick got stuck in the glass; Holden eventually had to leave it and skate away. Then Evgeny Kuznetsov lost his own stick and decided to pick up and use the stick that was in the glass. That, of course, is a no-no, and Kuznetsov was sent to the box. But it ended up being fine; about twelve minutes into the period, Madison Bowey threw the puck towards the net; it ended up hitting the boards, and Ovechkin cleaned up the big rebound and backhanded it in to give the Caps a 2-1 lead.
Then things got real sour real quick. Four minutes later, Reaves hit Wilson blindside, hard, and the unsuspecting Wilson fell to the ice. His helmet was knocked off and his head ended up hitting the ice, and Wilson was down. There was no head contact, but it was very very late. Chandler Stephenson and John Carlson had to help him off the ice. Wilson would not return to the game. Reaves was given a five minute major penalty and ejected from the game. Nice of the Vegas crowd to show a bit of class, booing an injured player. Stay classy. The ensuing penalty was for the rest of the second and 42 seconds of the third, but the Caps could not muster up anything to show for it.
Things went from bad to worse when the Caps gave up two goals in quick succession right after the power play ended. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scored and Cody Eakin scored within twenty seconds of each other, and suddenly the Caps’ lead was gone.
Some salvation came midway through the period when Vrana sent home a rocket for his second of the game, and the game was tied 3-3. But the Caps couldn’t keep themselves out of penalty trouble — late in the period, Nic Dowd was called for a double minor for high-sticking, and they almost squeaked out of there alive, but as the power play was coming to its end, former Capital Nate Schmidt scored the tiebreaker. He also scored on the empty net, and the Caps lost 5-3. The Caps got outshot 28-26, and they had the disadvantage on faceoffs at 41.3%. The Caps went 0/4 on their power play chances, and the Golden Knights went 2/6 on theirs. Braden Holtby stopped 23/27 shots.
This was a physical, ugly, penalty-filled game, and it was demoralizing. The Caps ended up making it close at the end, but they gave up two different leads. Not to mention that losing someone as important as Wilson is an absolute heartbreaker, and the opposition’s attitude about the whole thing seemed to be relishing in the injury of a player, which is not cool at all.
12/06/18 @ Arizona Coyotes, W 4-2
Tumblr media
The Caps continued their trip through the desert with a stop in Arizona. After his injury during the previous game, Tom Wilson would not play in this one, and Travis Boyd would be in and employed on the wing. Jonas Siegenthaler would also get into this one and Madison Bowey would be the odd one out. Pheonix Copley would get the start in Phoenix.
The Coyotes ended up scoring first. Five minutes into the game, Andre Burakovsky turned the puck over in the defensive zone to Derek Stepan, who passed it over to Christian Fischer for the one-timer. 1-0 Coyotes. The only other item of note in the first was a Lars Eller penalty that bled into 22 seconds of the second and was not scored on.
However, about a minute into the second, things got funky. Brett Connolly, in his attempts to defend, tried to clear a loose stick out of the way. However, it was ruled that he “threw it in the way of the puck,” and Richard Panik was awarded a penalty shot. Luckily, for the Caps, he shot wide on Copley and the score remained the same.
Four minutes later, Jakub Vrana got the puck on his stick from a centering pass and scored on a wrist shot, tying the game 1-1. But a minute and half later, Lawson Crouse got a loose puck in the crease and sent it home to give the Coyotes a 2-1 lead. At about the eleven minute mark, Copley came way out of the crease to make a flying poke check on a two-on-none. At the sixteen minute mark, Copley tapped the puck to Boyd, who rushed into the zone and passed it off to Matt Niskanen, who shot the puck from the point; the puck went in off a defender, and the game was tied 2-2. Niskanen got a birthday goal, and Copley got an assist on the play, his first NHL point.
The third period also started in exciting fashion. Vrana got a breakaway and got hooked — he ended up getting a shot away and Adin Hill came up with a fantastic save, but Vrana was awarded a penalty shot. He tried to toe drag, but his skate looked like it caught on the ice and he got it on goal, but he never had as good of a chance as he wanted. Game was still tied.
It remained tight late, with the two teams competing down to the wire. Then, with five minutes left in the game, Burakovsky took a long pass from Niskanen and flew into the zone, wristing a bit of a fluky one by Hill to give the Caps a 3-2 lead. Redemption indeed. Alex Ovechkin scored on the empty net to seal the Caps’ 4-2 win.
The shots were even, 29-29, and the Caps had the significant disadvantage on faceoffs at 39.2%. Each time was fruitless on the power play, with the Caps going 0/1 and the Coyotes going 0/2, along with a missed penalty shot for both teams. Copley saved 27/29 shots.
Not their best defensive game, by any means. But for the team to rally and win the game late in regulation is a big morale booster, especially with all the big personnel still on the shelf.
12/08/18 @ Columbus Blue Jackets, W 4-0
Tumblr media
Another stop on the tour of locations that were important on the Stanley Cup run. Tom Wilson was still out, Travis Boyd was still in. Jonas Siegenthaler was still in, and this time Christian Djoos was scratched in favor of Madison Bowey. Bring on the (lack of) cannon.
The Caps got the party started very early. Brett Connolly and Jakub Vrana broke in on a two-on-one, and Connolly deked the hell out of Sergei Bobrovsky and tucked the puck in on a very Kuznetsov-like wrap less than two minutes into the game to make it 1-0 Caps. Ten minutes into the frame, Boyd took a shot that deflected off Dmitrij Jaskin, who finally got his first goal with the team. And in the last minute of the frame, Alex Ovechkin finished off great passes from Michal Kempny and John Carlson and tapped in the Caps’ third goal of the frame, which also gave him the NHL lead in goals.
Bobrovsky did not start the second period, getting yanked in favor of Joonas Korpisalo after allowing three goals on thirteen shots. Bob actually made some great saves in the period, and it seemed to be more of a wake-up call to the Jackets. Regardless, the second period did not have much of note. The only thing worth reporting was Pierre-Luc Dubois desperately trying to goad Kempny into a fight and Kempny not having a single bit of it, resulting in only Dubois going to the box.
Eleven minutes into the third, after Nic Dowd wrestled the puck away, Ovechkin entered the zone with the puck on an odd-man rush and passed the puck over to Boyd, who dunked it into the net for his first NHL goal. Cue smiles and a joyous goal hug. That would be all the scoring for the game; the Jackets would be unable to score on Braden Holtby, and the Caps finished up the night with a 4-0 win, and Holtby got his second shutout of the year.
Shots were even, 28-28, the Caps had the disadvantage on faceoffs at 44.3%, and each team went scoreless on their power play chances, the Caps going 0/3 and the Jackets going 0/4. Holtby stopped 28/28 shots.
This was a good game all-around for the Caps, and definitely one of their best first periods. Holtby stood tall when the Jackets came on strong in the third. It was a good night for firsts, with both Boyd and Jaskin getting their firsts of the year, with the team, and, for Boyd, his first ever. Definitely a feel-good type of game. And best of all: no cannon tonight.
Current record: 17-9-3
What’s Going on in the World of the Caps
Injuries and Transactions
Tom Wilson was injured during the game in Vegas on December 4, and he is day-to-day with presumably a concussion and has yet to play since. Riley Barber was recalled as an extra for the game on Columbus on December 8, and did not play. T.J. Oshie, still out with a concussion, was placed on IR to make room. Barber was sent back to Hershey the next day, and Oshie looks to be very close to returning; he has come back to practice, and is likely to get into a game soon.
First Goals
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Saturday’s game in Columbus, Travis Boyd scored his first NHL goal and Dmitrij Jaskin scored his first goal as a Capital. Boyd had a tender postgame embrace with former Hershey Bears teammates Jakub Vrana and Madison Bowey, while Jaskin got the monkey off his back.
Homeward Trails
Tumblr media
On December 8, the Capitals hosted an adoption day at Homeward Trails; everyone who adopted from 10 AM to 4 PM received a Caps Canines Membership. Some of the players’ significant others stopped by the event, as well.
Shumakov Released
On December 6, Sergei Shumakov was placed on unconditional waivers, and he later went unclaimed and was released from his contract with the Capitals. Shumakov was signed out of the KHL, with sights on making the NHL club. He didn’t make it out of training camp and was assigned to the AHL Hershey Bears, where he was playing until his contract was terminated. For whatever reason, his game just never translated as well as all parties were hoping.
Geisser to World Juniors
Tumblr media
Capitals prospect Tobias Geisser will participate in the 2019 IIHF World Juniors representing Switzerland. The defenseman currently plays for the Hershey Bears, and he was the Capitals’ fourth-round pick in the 2017 draft. The WJC starts on December 26 and will take place in Vancouver and Victoria, Canada.

Player of the Week
Tumblr media

「The Coming of a New Generation」B.L.T Jan 2019
NOTE:
Umezawa Minami --> UM
Sato Kaede --> SK
Ito Riria --> IR
Yoda Yuki --> YY
Ozono Momoko --> OM
Yamashita Mizuki --> YM
It happens to be Christmas season. Has anything happened this year that you can call “a wonderful gift”?
UM: Last year I had mostly 3rd gen activities. This year I started having senbatsu and under activities, could tell right away that things were changing. For me, I met a lot of people outside of Nogizaka from acting in the musical 「美少女セーラームーン (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon」 and the stage play 「七つの大罪The Stage」, and this was very exciting for me. I could also feel myself slowly changing. To be lucky enough to meet all kinds of people, from all these different places; no doubt this was a gift for me.
SK: Indeed. In all six years of high school I played badminton, so I always wondered when I would receive related work. This year I was invited to appear on 「世界バドミントン選手権 (Badminton World Championships)」, as well as had my own segment (「乃木坂46佐藤楓の世界バドミントンが46倍楽しくなるTV」), really happy about these. I also played against Shiota Reiko, it was like a dream.
IR: A lot of my work opportunities, acting in 「星の女王」and 「セーラムーン (Sailor Moon)」, became my precious experiences as well. What made me especially happy was that my relationships with the senpais I acted in 「セーラムーン」with - Higuchi-san, Noujo-san, and Takayama-san - became extra good. I’ve already made plans to celebrate my next birthday at Takayama-san’s home, really looking forward to it.
YY: That nice. I had some good experiences with work too. To spend time with my favorite animals is like a gift to me. It was normal for me to spend lots of time with the animals I have back at home, but I don’t see them often anymore after moving to Tokyo. During this time, I had a location shoot back in my home town with 「志村どうぶつ園 (Shimura Zoo)」. I took a long-awaited walk along the beach with my mountain goat Gonzo and little dog Taro. Animals are truly the most wonderful. To receive work due to my love for animals, it’s wonderful. Of course becoming an idol is also a wonderful thing; both are gifts to me.
OM: During the Fukuoka stop for our Summer National Tour, my friends from my hometown Kagoshima came to watch the Live for the first time; to me, that was a gift. About 17 people came, and they all held slogan towels with "Momoko” on it. Looking at the group picture they took, that made me really happy. Though no one complimented me, I was still very touched when they all said “Just as expected, Nogizaka is impressive.” Later on, they said my dancing was kind of comedic. (laugh)
IR: My Okinawa friends also came to watch the Tokyo Meiji Jingu Stadium Live, all of them said they came to like Nogizaka. I was already happy when they complimented me; for them to say they liked the entire group made me the happiest.
OM: Momoko also wants them to like Momoko! But my friend I’ve been close to since elementary school is a Yoda oshi. It’s okay even if they’re just lying, please say you’re a Momoko oshi!
SK: My friends also came to my hometown Nagoya concert and the Jingu Stadium concert. Nobody used to have any interest in Nogizaka, but after I joined they started paying more attention to Nogizaka. They listened to 3rd gen songs before watching the Live. They said their favorite song was 「三番目の風」, that made me so happy. Also, they said that I was “shining brightly” during the Live.
OM: That would make anyone really happy to hear.
SK: Yes, very happy.
YM: For me...to be alive is a gift for me. (laughs) Humans can just suddenly get seriously ill, or just suddenly die. I haven’t gotten seriously hurt nor sick. This entire year I’ve been doing work that brings people energy and laughter, this isn’t something that just comes by, it’s something to be thankful for.
Why do you think this way?
YM: I’m not sure how to express this. Health is something that’s really important...my grandma, or even people we knew in the past - every year during new years we’d meet them. This year I'm really happy that I was busy with work, but life has changed a lot since last year, so I didn’t get a chance to go back to my hometown. During this time, there’s been a lot of changes I was unaware of. Only after I found out about this particular important matter, did I realize this; I’ve been able to finish work safely everyday only because so many people have been watching over me. This year made me realize I shouldn’t take things for granted. I’m just talking to myself at this point, the topic must be a little heavy. (awkward smile)
UM: Don’t say that, I think you said that very well!
YY: Very well!
Okay, earlier we were talking about Sato being complimented as “shining” by her friends during the live. This year, what were some memorable words you received from someone else?
UM: There are too many... (laughs)
SK: I also received a lot of words. Can I choose the phrase ‘congratulations’? During the Nogizaka Under Construction 22nd Single Senbatsu announcements, I entered senbatsu for the first time. I received, up until now, the most congratulations messages I have ever received. My tears just started falling from that.
IR: I also got into senbatsu for the first time that time. During that time, I received a lot of congratulations messages. Even my classmates from school congratulated me, I was really happy. Also recently, there was a handshake event the day of my birthday, so a lot of Riria-oshis told me “I’m thankful you were born”.
OM: That’s awesome.
IR: Yeah. Even though I say “I want to bring happiness to those people who watch me”, I can’t help feeling that I exist for the fans. Working hard down this path is great, I want to keep doing my best for this group of people, giving me a lot of encouragement.
YM: I also experience a lot of joy when fans tell me “thank you for everything until now”.  As someone who needs a lot of reassurance, the feeling I get when I’m encouraged by their words, I don’t know if it’s apologetic or thankful...... Many many people leave replies on the blog and tell me at handshake events “thank you for everything until now”. I don’t know what much I can do, but I want to at least  convey my gratitude to each person, so I will also say to my fans during handshake events, “thank you for everything until now”. To be honest, even though it’s quite tiring sometimes, my mentality is that my own life can be whatever, but I strongly believe that if I’m meant to live for others, then I’ll do my best to live my life out for them.
YY: You said that so coolly.
OM: It was probably around the time of my birthday, Shi-san (Shiraishi Mai) said to me, “Momoko will continue to improve, let’s do our best together”, that made me happy. Also, I think it’s because I wrote a letter to Asuka-san for her birthday; I also received a letter Asuka-san wrote for me for my birthday. In it, she wrote “Because I have expectations for Zono-san (Ozono), can you work a little harder for my sake?” I could feel that Asuka-san really cares for Momoko; I felt a little embarrassed, but at the same time I also felt happy from these words, and felt the need to put in more effort.
UM: For me, it’s all words deep in my heart. This year I received too many words. Though, that’s right..... When I received the words “just do it”, I was really happy.  With my condition and inner battle so bitter-like, will others experience that from me as well...... Even though I’ve never poured out these thoughts to others before, and had no plans to express it, at that time everything everyone said just seemed like they could sense my heart. It’s been since summer till recent.

All About Personalized Birthday Party Invitation Cards
Birthday parties are intended to be celebrated in the best possible manner by the host. They try to meet up with all the requirements, making them amazing in their own way. The chief concern of all happens to be the venue, the cake and, of course, invitation cards.
What occurs if you have to invite the guests over to tell them approximately the event? You need birthday party invitation cards etc with the call of your toddler, the day while the birthday party could be held, the timings and the deal with of the arranged venue that might be your residential address or that of a public vicinity.
Invitation cards for birthday parties are available in the market. They have various prints on them, like the print of a cartoon character on it; for instance, Cinderella, Batman, Spider-Man, Snow White can be printed to state as to what birthday party theme is being followed, and whether of a girl or a boy.
Sending out celebration invites for the next celebration of your baby isn't purported to be pretty luxurious. But, the fee of it has multiplied than it was once. Because you are aware of the expenses at the listing of the arrangement of the birthday celebration, it can be counseled that you could make invitation cards all by way of yourself by the surf on the internet for some time, seeking out suitable designs with the brilliant colors. You can even make your infant come to be a part of this interest, and also you shall see, in the long run, your cards might have the touch of innocence that could contribute to the presence of numerous guests in the party.
In other cases, you can get hold of e-cards that are printable. All you need to do is to choose from a large variety of patterns and designs. Use a paper of high quality paper for the printing so that the result is highly impressive. Also, the colours should be vibrant in order to reflect your taste that would in a way allure guests to come and experience the birthday party of your child.
Make sure that you choose the right pattern and design so that it states vividly if it is be a fun-filled party. Nobody wants to risk spending their time on a sober birthday party.
Just to indicate some specific party playing cards for boys and girls, I'd hereby suggest a few layout patterns. For boys, you may choose Winnie the pooh, pirates, vans, ships, sports activities, racing cars, mickey mouse, hearth trucks or Aladdin; and for ladies, I'd propose queens, dolls like barbie, Dora, Cinderella or snow white. Most of these may be decided on from diverse web sites that provide free reviews of their personal flash playing cards.
Above all, make sure that you send out the cards to almost everyone. Therefore, if you make the cards by yourself, make sure that you make the list of guests, friends of your child and your relatives, so that no one is missed out. In that way, you would be able to make the cards and make a few extra ones as well.

Good Day For Goalies
It's Wednesday. It's Hump Day. It's November 14, but it's not a special day for most. I assume there are a swath of people in society who are celebrating a birthday or another special day, but the majority of the world didn't have anything remarkable to write home about regarding today. Well, hold on a second. There were a couple of people who had a very good day based on how the day went for them, and we need to talk a little about them due to their big days! Both men are goalies who have suited up in the NHL, but one guy had himself a great day in the AHL while another guy got to happily sit on the bench for the evening! In an early AHL game as AHL teams invite school kids to the rink for the day, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins were up 3-1 late in their game against the Springfield Thunderbirds. Being down late sent Springfield goalie Michael Hutchinson to the bench for an extra attacker as the Thunderbirds tried to erase the two-goal deficit. And that's when Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry decided to take matters into his own hands.
🚨GOALIE GOAL ALERT🚨 Tristan Jarry gets a goal for the @WBSPenguins, the first goalie goal in WBS history! pic.twitter.com/cvMwvFqP61
— AHL (@TheAHL) November 14, 2018
Announcer screams aside on that video, Tristan Jarry scored his first goal as a goaltender in his professional hockey career today! Jarry became the 14th goaltender in the AHL's 83-year history to record a goal, and the ninth goaltender to physically shoot the puck the length of the ice to score a goal! I'd say that's a pretty awesome day for Jarry, right? The 14 goalies who have etched their names into the AHL record book for being recorded as a goal scorer include:
Darcy Wakaluk, Rochester – Dec. 5, 1987 at Utica
Paul Cohen, Springfield – Mar. 28, 1992 vs. Rochester
Robb Stauber, Rochester – Oct. 9, 1995 at Prince Edward Island
Christian Bronsard, Syracuse – Oct. 30, 1999 at Rochester
Jean-Francois Labbe, Hartford – Feb. 5, 2000 at Quebec
Chris Mason, Milwaukee – Oct. 15, 2001 at Utah
Antero Niittymaki, Philadelphia – Apr. 11, 2004 at Hershey*
Seamus Kotyk, Milwaukee – Apr. 17, 2005 at San Antonio
Drew MacIntyre, Manitoba – Feb. 20, 2008 at Chicago*
Chris Holt, Binghamton – Mar. 19, 2010 vs. Rochester
Reto Berra, Lake Erie – Jan. 16, 2015 at Chicago
Jonas Gustavsson, Bakersfield – Mar. 24, 2017 vs. San Diego
Alex Nedeljkovic, Charlotte – Mar. 10, 2018 vs. Hartford
Tristan Jarry, W-B/Scranton – Nov. 14, 2018 at Springfield
The two starred goals scored by Niittymaki and MacIntyre were overtime goals, but Jarry didn't need that today as his goal helped the Penguins win the game 5-1 over Springfield! From that cool story, we move to another great story. Well, unless you're Braden Holtby who missed tonight's game for the Capitals against the Winnipeg Jets with an upper-body injury. But as they say, when one door closes, another opens, and tonight that door opened for a gentleman by the name of Gavin McHale!
Gavin is the Winnipeg Jets' emergency goalie, so he gets to watch a lot of Jets games for free while he waits for the tap on his shoulder. Normally, Gavin wouldn't see the ice whatsoever from the vantage point to the right, but with Holtby injured and unable to play, McHale was sent down to the Washington Capitals' room to suit up and back-up Pheonix Copley in tonight's game! Donning jersey #41, McHale was able to get into the warm-up, face guys like Ovechkin, Backstrom, and Oshie as they prepared for the game, and he can now claim he's part of the reigning Stanley Cup champions!
Gavin McHale in action during warmups... dude is tall. pic.twitter.com/vyO9uWBxFH
— NBC Sports Capitals (@NBCSCapitals) November 15, 2018
Ironically, the first shooter that McHale faced tonight in warm-up was none other than Alex Ovechkin. And Ovechkin ripped a shot past McHale. Welcome to the NHL, kid. The 31 year-old netminder is a former Portage Terrier of the MJHL, and he works as a fitness coach when he's not on the ice training Lauren Taraschuk, Erin Fargey, and Devan Johnson of the Manitoba Bisons women's hockey team. McHale's been doing the emergency goalie thing for the Jets for a couple of seasons now, and his debut on national hockey in the US and Canada thanks to NBC and Sportsnet did not go unnoticed on social media! Congratulations to Tristan Jarry for scoring his first goal, and Gavin McHale for blowing up the internet as a Washington Capital! Wednesday, November 14 was a pretty good day for goalies, it seems! Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice! from Sports News http://hockey-blog-in-canada.blogspot.com/2018/11/good-day-for-goalies.html

What We Learned: When will sellers start selling?
Tumblr media
When will the first domino fall ahead of the NHL trade deadline?
The thing with the NHL is that everyone thinks they’re in the playoff hunt right up until they’re mathematically eliminated from it. And it’s in no way revelatory to say that’s because of the points system, which ensures that as long as you can get to overtime regularly, it really doesn’t matter how bad you are. You’re always going to look like you’re a three-game winning streak away from being right in the thick of it.
After Saturday night’s games, 11 of the 16 teams in the Eastern Conference were either in a playoff spot or within a point of it. Out west, 12 of 15 were only as far as two points back. There are various issues with games in hand here, of course, given that we’re still sorting through bye weeks — which, by the way, it’s incredibly stilly that the league’s bye-week plan this season was “half the league is off one week, the other half the next” — but overall, well, the points system is working as intended.
The NHL and its members teams want to be able to sell competition to fans, which is understandable and fine, because that theoretically wrings a few extra dollars from the gate at every NHL game. When teams are playoff-competitive, they’re more interesting to fans. Makes perfect sense.
But man does it also make the month before the trade deadline boring and bad. There’s no deader spot in the schedule than Games 40-60, and that there are basically no sellers in the league right now despite all the evidence in the world that there are a ton of teams that just aren’t that good is a real problem.
Take Florida, for instance. They ended Saturday seven points out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot, held by the Penguins. Seven points might as well be a mile, especially because there are three teams between them and the reigning Cup champs. And yet, Dale Tallon says he will only make a trade if it makes sense in the long-term planning surrounding the team. He also said, “We’re not in the playoffs right now, so we have to get there.” Which is to say that this team is either going to buy or doing very little in the coming weeks.
It’s not that the Panthers have too many guys they would likely be interested in moving, or which teams would be interested in trading for, but this attitude is illustrative of a wider problem in the NHL: Everyone believes in their heart of hearts that they’re just a trade or two away from being competitive. We, of course, know this isn’t the case; unless the Panthers are trading futures for Connor McDavid (and hey, he might be available for the right price!) they’re not getting into the postseason, full stop.
Likewise, the Ottawa Senators, whose record is even worse than the Panthers’, acknowledge that their sesaon is effectively over and is now exploring trade possibilities (at least in terms of which guys would fetch what prices), but note that it’s “too early to throw in the towel yet.” It, of course, is quite the opposite; the towel could have been safely thrown in at any point in the past month and a half at least.
Montreal also said this past week it wasn’t going to throw in the towel. Edmonton is apparently only making Anton Slepyshev available right now. Vancouver is in the middle of what is apparently a model rebuild (haha) but they’re not ready to trade Thomas Vanek quite yet.
Even Arizona, dead last in another lost season, hasn’t made the call to put Oliver Ekman-Larsson on the block. This is a guy every GM in the league would push their grandmothers in front of a bus to acquire, on a team so bad it could safely talk about selling a month ago, and yet the apparent issue is that they’re asking for the moon (two good roster players and a first-round pick). That is, of course, the benefit of selling in a clear seller’s market, but Ekman-Larsson is a 26-year-old All-Star signed for this season and next at a low price ($5.5 million AAV, but more than that in real dollars), so teams should be more interested than they apparently are.
Arizona’s only move was the Duclair-to-Chicago swap a few days ago, but that was precipitated by a trade demand, rather than the team actively seeking out something that works. And by the way, if we’re calling Arizona a seller right now, then the seller lost that trade badly, which is usually how it works when trades are demanded.
The only team to apparently grasp nice and early that their season was over was Buffalo, which was rumored to be putting everyone not-named Jack Eichel up for sale as soon as early December. And yet the only trade they’ve actually made to this point was to acquire Scott Wilson from Detroit for a fifth-round pick in 2019, so by that token, Buffalo was actually a buyer.
This is one of those things where everyone acknowledges that the market is tighter than it should be. It’s also broadly believed that, a) as soon as one trade happens, some dominoes will start to fall, and b) someone should do something soon to make sure it’s not this tight until the week and a half before the deadline. But no one seems particularly interested in actually doing that.
It’s tough to tell when, exactly, something is going to shake loose. The Duclair trade, and whatever happens with Jack Johnson in the next week or two after he likewise asked out of Columbus, aren’t going to qualify as the start of selling season.
Because if you’re the buying team making such a trade right now, you’re still paying gallon prices for half-gallon players. And if you’re a seller, you’re the first seller to say, “Well that’s it for us.” And it apparently doesn’t matter whether you’re six, 10, or even 24 points out: No GM wants to be That Guy. Probably because That Guy has a greater likelihood of also being That Guy when ownership decides it’s time to make a change in the front office.
And the entire league is less interesting as a result.
What We Learned
Anaheim Ducks: Kings-Ducks on Saturday night was a real good one. The right team won it too.
Arizona Coyotes: This all seems just about right.
Boston Bruins: Kind of amazing Chara hasn’t put more people in the hospital with that shot of his.
Buffalo Sabres: I cannot tell you how imperative it is to team offense to have literally any defensemen who can move the puck out of their own zone. The Sabres have a half-decent top-six forward group but they never score because no one can get those guys the puck. This is the problem, to a lesser extent, in Edmonton too. Not hard to figure out.
Calgary Flames: They might be making the run they need, gang.
Carolina Hurricanes: This is the kind of thing all owners say but it’s tough to guess whether the right investments will actually be made going forward.
Chicago: For real, though, why on earth do NHL teams keep giving good players to Chicago for basically nothing, or worse, to help them alleviate their cap problems? Does Bowman have Kompromat on everyone?
Colorado Avalanche: I gotta remember to write about the Avs soon. What a fun team, and they just keep winning.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Guarantee the Blue Jackets are like, “Oh jeez, no not that, Jack. Please don’t demand a trade. We would hate that. We want to keep you. You’re good at hockey. Please Jack.”
Dallas Stars: Well hey everyone is losing to Colorado these days, huh? I’m not worried about the Stars!
Detroit Red Wings: One assumes Ted Kulfan had this column written on Oct. 1.
Edmonton Oilers: Love to pick up an OT win in Vegas on Connor McDavid’s 21st birthday right before the team goes on the bye.
Florida Panthers: Man, what a headline!
Los Angeles Kings: Imagine being so good at just saying stuff about hockey on TV that they build a statue of you. Good lord.
Minnesota Wild: The bottom of the Central is a total mess. After Saturday’s games, five points separated second from seventh.
Montreal Canadiens: I mean, sure.
Nashville Predators: Ahh, nah though.
New Jersey Devils: Remember when people were like, “The Devils can do this forever?” Well funny story…
New York Islanders: Before we start crowning Mat Barzal as the new Kyle Okposo or Matt Moulson, who scores a bunch for the Islanders but is dependent on John Tavares, consider this: Tavares only has a point on nine of his 44 points and just two of his 15 goals.
New York Rangers: Yeah dude, trade everyone. Who cares.
Ottawa Senators: I legit can’t tell you how much I hate this.
Philadelphia Flyers: Sean Couturier isn’t an All-Star, lol what a league.
Pittsburgh Penguins: I like the Pens to make a run here. Call me crazy but I think they have the talent to put together a nice stretch.
San Jose Sharks: This is gonna get a no-thanks from me.
St. Louis Blues: The Blues for-sure need a body or two to push them into “near-elite” status but what do they give up?
Tampa Bay Lightning: This is the thing I was saying last week about how the Bolts should never play more than three of their five best players in any one game for the rest of the year.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Yeah turns out they need another top-four defenseman. No one could have seen this need coming in the summer, though. Nope.
Vancouver Canucks: This is beyond parody, honestly.
Vegas Golden Knights: This is the most NHL thing in the history of the NHL. It would be mega funny if Vegas has to change its name.
Washington Capitals: Point of order: TJ Oshie isn’t a first-liner. But okay.
Winnipeg Jets: This is why I’m dubious of the Jets as a legitimate Cup threat. Maybe they can trade for Jack Johnson ha ha ha.
Play of the Weekend
Hmm I guess this is impressive.
Gold Star Award
Mat Barzal has two five-point games this season. Connor McDavid has one in his career. Just something to think about.
Minus of the Weekend
Vegas lost to Edmonton. Now that’s embarrassing, gang.
Perfect HFBoards Trade Proposal of the Year
User “duffy9748” wants to improve the Preds (I think).
