Almost done with the updated masterlist let's gooooo poggies babagaboosh!!! In the meantime, here's a little bit about me (again)!

You may call me Gremlin (The Soup Hoarder Keeper works too). My pronouns are she/they, with no preference between them. You can stick with she/her, you can stick with they/them, or you can casually change it every other sentence, I don't care. Hell, if you're feeling extra zesty, you can even change them out mid-sentence too. "She decided that she was going to eat their lunch at the park today." Tropes I Don't So Much Enjoy:

I don't really have anything in terms of triggers, but there are still some topics that I don't exactly feel comfortable reading and writing.

Sexual Non-Con (I just feel squeamish reading it. Gives the heebie jeebies)

Oddly Specific/Unorthodox Gore (Yanking teeth, scooping eyeballs, pulling out entire finger/toe nails, etc. Anything along those lines also heebies my jeebies)

I tend to stay away from kink in general, especially in sickfic and emeto. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with kink stuff, I have no qualms about it existing. I'll support you guys from the sidelines, and even maybe rb a kink fic if it hits the right notes. But overall, kink just isn't really my thing; it's not really what I come here for, y'know? YKINMKATO 👍 (thumbs up)

Well, now that I've made you read this far, it's time for me to hit you with the juicy juice. I have OCs. I have many OCs. You might've already noticed this, but if you didn't, now you know. I also have a couple different original realms/dimensions too. One is a cluster of floating islands in the void, and the other is a liminal space. No-- not that liminal space -- though the Backrooms is a cannon place here -- but this liminal space doesn't have an uncanny feeling about it at all, sorry to disappoint. It's a liminal space in the fact that it's a space between universes; a nexus, a bridge, a crossroads. Which universes does it connect to? Well... I don't want to spill everything right off the bat here! Guess you'll just have to wait and see for yourself. Anygay, I will be writing with these characters and occasionally use those settings, but be aware that any plot and development will most likely be shown through blurbs and bits, and not a central series. Well, at least for now. There might be a thing or two currently in the works teehee.

- Sasha Agapov-Trần (35, he/him, married to Kenneth): Scientist/researcher with his adopted daughter (Mischa, 20) and beloved cat (Matcha). Move to stardew for samples and somehow gain a husband on the way as well (Kenneth)

I swear the plot “twists” per episode made the fic extra memorable.

I mean, if you want to make a twitter, go for it :3 it's kinda trial and error at first whenever you wanna follow people with the same interests etc. But it's not all bad all the time xD I use it to stay in contact with some friends and mutuals, to see fanart and stay kinda up to date with the vtubers I follow. So all in all it's very chill :3 plus there's always the option to block words and tags etc as well.

So uhh, if you've seen the livestreams you'll know how much sjm loves az and how exited she is to write his story. Now, I see many fans saying he's toxic, and though I don't share that opinion, I accept that we all see things differently, but I wanted to say that I don't think sjm is going to make him the bad guy, not a chance. I read a lot of paranormal romance (sjm too) and the guys are usually like this, you know, "horny 24/7 and want to kill all competition", is the trope kinda sexist? Sure but I find it hot and so does sjm, and though this might be an unpopular opinion, i think az is the least possesive of the three brothers, like, if elain told him she wants lucien az would back off, actually he waited like a whole year/two unil elain came to him.

So my point is, sjm is not pulling a tamlin 2.0.

Also, and this is biased, the "elriel is toxic" argument isn't that strong, bc the things most non elriel shippers find toxic are things sjm finds sexy.

I'm rambling, sorry, whatever, I just wanted to put that out there but I 100% believe we all can and should have fun shipping whatever we want-

I agree with some of this stuff, but not all of it. Lemme explain. 

I know sjm loves Az, just like she loves Nesta, Eris, Lucien, and Rhysand, etc. They are her characters. Why wouldn’t she? I’m not sure what that has to do with ships or books or anything. She said that Eris is her favorite Autumn Court character, right? And he’s clearly been an asshole. I have OCs, and they all exist for a reason. It’s not about loving them or not.

Elain didn’t come to Azriel, they ran into one another. 

She'd waited until everyone was asleep before venturing back down, where she'd leave her gift amongst his other, opened presents, subtle and unnoticed.  

And the argument about Az, I’m not going to use the word “toxic” (never have, in fact) because people are throwing it around a lot lately to basically mean “bad” without any underlying understanding of what that looks like in a relationship, romantic or otherwise. 

However, I’d like to point out that when I analyze Azriel’s character and what a potential relationship would look like with Elain, I am not arguing that that’s why it wouldn’t be canon. I am explaining why I, personally, do not ship it. Those are different things. 

I do agree with you that sjm has written a relationship similar to what I have predicted Az and Elain would be like - feylin. She’s written this before, so I don’t understand how some people fail to see the similarities. Did Tamlin love Feyre? Hell yeah he did. And there was a lot of sexual tension and then straight up sexy times between them. He’s still mourning her two years later.

But was Tamlin in a place where he could have a healthy, supportive relationship with her? Nope. They imploded big time, despite loving one another. That’s what I’m arguing. Other people may frame their analyses differently, but I’m saying that Az is full of rage and jealousy and he just isn’t currently in a place to have a lasting romantic relationship. Jumping into a romantic relationship with someone who requires so much emotional labor, who needs to be constantly reassured that they are good enough, that their touch isn’t “tainting” their lover, etc. it’s exhausting and will ruin a relationship. Take it from someone who knows this personally. (And honestly, this still puts me on the fence about gwynriel. I literally only ship them because it’s what she wants, I don’t actually care about Az in this equation because of this whole paragraph.)

I also think that both characters (Tamlin and Azriel) deserve love. Everyone does. It doesn’t have to be romantic love, though? Which is why I also said in this post from March 12th that I don’t think Azriel will become Tamlin 2.0, which means I also agree with what you said in that regard. Here are the relevant bits of what I wrote:

Tamlin is basically a cautionary tale for Azriel and I don’t see how people can have read this series and not see that. Not see that sjm wrote Azriel in a very specific way in that extra.

Will Az get to the same lonely, dark place that Tamlin has ended up? I doubt it. He has a much better support system than Tamlin, for one. He also is being set up to have an HEA, for another. There isn’t a war on, no Amarantha holding everyone hostage. Their histories and personalities, the people they are surrounded by are different - the way they deal with their emotions and trauma is not.

I think a lot of the disagreements right now are coming from 1) just having different interpretations, and then 2) seeing that other people have those different interpretations and trying to justify why ours are more “right”, even though that’s almost impossible to do. Also I think that we are reading arguments and forgetting where they come from, so groups are getting mushed all together as if they are a hive mind and so then I get stuff like this saying “Azriel won’t turn into Tamlin” and then I have to be like “yah I know I literally said that before”. (No shade on you anon, it’s happened a bunch but this example is right here.)

It’s like saying I prefer feta and the fandom trying to explain to me why brie is better. idgaf, I just like feta. So yes anon, let’s all just have fun! I don’t mind genuine discussion and differences. What would be the point of me posting and everyone just saying “same” all the time?

hey bestie its me i should probably bother you on discord but i thought i'd go the extra step to bother you here :emoji_48: anyways. my question is: what inspired you to write they who know 9999 things?

great question bestie!!! the first iteration of 9,999 Things was a short (20-page or so, unfinished) fic.

The setup was similar: a spirit called Angel, who used she/her pronouns for some reason and was an oc from a sci-fi play I wrote called Witch City, appeared on the Wani (Zuko's ship) mid-season-one and began her moral assessment of Zuko there, and continued to help end the war for the rest of the three seasons. The difference lay in the actual plot, though, the timeline of 9,999 Things 1.0 actually began a year or so post-canon, and Angel was Firelord Zuko's advisor and friend. It starts off with her having the inspired idea to teach him the firebending equivalent of seismic sense, but she accidentally startles him and reminds him of Azula while he's blindfolded, and he burns her severely. Angst on his part ensues, and as she's on the edge of death she has to sever her ties with Wan Shi Tong so she can continue to occupy her injured human body. While noncorporeal, she physically fights some nightmare-inducing spirits that were plaguing Zuko.

After this lovely, angsty beginning, a completely different plotline came into play. Some guy in the Fire Nation, who had invented the camera as a way of unethical journalism, started a cultlike movement to dethrone Zuko. There's a serious assassination attempt, and with Angel employing psychological warfare and Zuko employing swords and fire, they kill three potential assassins. The Kyoshi Warriors arrive as replacement guards, and the gaang arrive to help take down the guy who invented the camera, and that's where I got bored and stopped writing.

9,999 Things 1.0, which was never titled, was fanfiction of Witch City and a direct result of me wanting to explore Zuko's character through the lens of a character that was both intelligent and unburdened by the politics of ATLA and the unspoken social rules of the world. Angel, on a skim-through of 1.0, was a painfully inadequate, poorly-developed, and just plain annoying character, almost as hard to read about as the classic Y/N, so I had to reinvent her as Robbie, who is still annoying but at least they're complicated about it. Also, Angel in 1.0 didn't have Vixen, and y'all zb discord besties know exactly why I've written that character in.

9,999 Things 2.0 is a direct result of me liking the dynamic of Zuko and our favorite spirit oc, and my perfectionism when it comes to making characters likable and interesting. Obviously it isn't the only ATLA fic I've written or will write, but it is a cumulation of pretty much everything I've wanted to change about the show, most notably regarding the secondary villains. Azula, Jet, and Hama deserved better, and I'll write a happy ending since the show didn't give it to us. (I recognize the thematic value of Azula's downfall and Jet's death but they make me sad so I've elected to ignore them.)

Be More Chill 1.0 Memorial Post

So, with Be More Chill now on Broadway, we clearly have a lot of revisions to the show. Actor changes, song additions, song removals, dialogue, choreography, and the list goes on. And most if not all of the changes are good- I love pretty much all of them that I can think of off the top of my head. However, I decided to try and make a list of all the things no longer in the show that were really fun and will be missed. So, Heere we go!

1) Will Connolly as Jeremy

Is Will Roland probably better at the role? Totally (though probably because he had a lot more time to practice it). But Will Connolly was in all honesty great. First off, he’s actually a great singer- the audios and that one video everyone has makes that clear. He pulls off the dorky, scared Jeremy like no one else, and he really shines in parts like when he’s yelling at his dad, his beautiful vocals on the Sad Verse (you know the one I mean) of More Than Survive, and all that jazz. Will Connolly, o>, you were awesome.

2) The Squip Song verse starting with “Picture This”

Not a super important one, but I’ll miss it all the same.

These aren’t in any order by the way, sorry.

3) The More Than Survive pool dialogue

I understand that the new stuff is much more plot relevant but it was funny while it lasted.

4) Everything about Eric William Morris

Seriously, he played the part so damn well, they rewrote it for another actor (that’s actually kind of true, the original part was written with him in mind). Amazing voice, perfect for villain songs, rocked those outfits, overall powerful demeanor. I can’t help but be sad he couldn’t come back, despite how much I love Jason Tam. 

5) The Squip Song rap

Technically from 2.0, but it was badass so I had to include it. That 2.0 bootleg still has my favorite performance of this song.

6) Katie Ladner and her awesome vocals

Not much to say here, gestures to Pitiful Children

7) All of the old Upgrade

The new Upgrade is great, but I’ll always remember the original bizarre, creepy, handsy mess where Eminem dies in a hockey accident and the Squip is a huge weirdo. Also RIP the old ending, since most of the UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE-ing is gone. Also also RIP Jake’s old lyrics- the money laundering thing is still there, but it was funnier in Upgrade.

8) Eric William Morris’ black outfits

Obviously the new costumes are better because BUDGET, but the old black stuff fit Eric well- the costume designers know what they’re doing.

9) The old Squip Song dances

...enough said.

Boy that stayed in for a long time. I like the new ending a bit better because it’s the most extra, dramatic thing I’ve ever seen, but the old movements were damn funny.

The new one is amazing, don’t get me wrong. And it fits the new, pop-esque manipulative Squip who makes up his plan as he goes. But something about the cold, slower, almost militaristic instrumentation of the old version makes it absolutely perfect for Eric’s Squip portrayal, and I love it. I’d kill for footage of him doing the motions during the instrumental, they’re not in the music video. Best version of this is still the OC audio one. 

13) The beanbags in Two Player Game

Although we do get AotD projected on the stage back now, so win some lose some I guess.

14) The big controller toss in Two Player Game

Thank you Pitiful Children music video you are so damn helpful

15) The Scary Stockboy singing all of the “It’s From Japan” refrain

16) Christine actually explaining why she won’t go out with Jeremy

This is one of the ones on here I feel is legitimately an unreplaced loss. I know, I know, runtime...

17) More Than Survive Reprise

Yeah yeah it’s mostly still there and the way they segway into “all in all a not too heinous day�� from Sync Up is pretty cool. But the song itself is gone.

18) Eric William Morris’ Pitiful Children outfit

That thing was as ridiculous as the new Play outfit is emo (although when I saw the show Pitiful Children was performed in the emo outfit) and I love it. I still want that tasseled jacket. 

19) Christine’s dialogue in the middle of the play, and the creepy off-key I Love Play Rehearsal music

I loved that when I heard it in the OC audio and was sad when it wasn’t in the new version. Mostly because I love Will Connolly’s “NO”, it sounds so heartbroken. And the way it goes right into Christine’s singing right after that is really smooth.

20) Eric William Morris’ “JEREMyyyYyYyYYYyyyy...”

21) The Pants Song being after The Pitiful Children

The only reason I have a preference heere is because I think Pitiful Children being first makes Jeremy’s rant at his father (which as said was really good with Will C.) both more excusable and more poignant- Jeremy has had it up to Heere with his dad and he finally feels powerful enough to say so. It’s not really fair, of course, but he’s not wrong. 

22) The “You STUPID human” line in 2.0 during The Play

I always hated this line, it’s very inconsistent with Jason Tam’s more sympathetic Squip. But as such it’s a pretty big change so it makes the list.

23) The Giant Fricking Two River Stage

Seriously, that stage is so big. In the one video during the Squip Song you can barely see the background people, they’re so far to the sides.

24) The vocoder in The Squip Song

I think it might technically still be there, but it’s a lot less noticeable now, and Gerard is a lot louder compared to everyone else so overall he’s just clearer. I like this more, but the digitization was a pretty damn cool effect for that and all the Squip-related shenanigans. 

25) Jeremy’s old shirt

To be honest I like the old one better, but it’s probably just since I’ve seen it so much more. On that note,

3. When they are having a fight, what is it about and how do they deal with it?

It’s almost always the “YOU NEED TO BE MORE CAREFUL” thing, which, ironically, Tavi is usually the one flipping out about. Probably because her style has been to recklessly throw herself into combat since the day they met, while Aloth only added some melee weapon fighting in Deadfire, so he’s used to her doing That, but the reverse is less true. It usually gets dealt with via the “I’m fine, I have you watching my back” speech, which can go both ways(on the rare occasions Tavi is extra super reckless enough to actually make him say something about it xD).

7. Favorite date activity?

Tavi’s is kicking ass as a team. Aloth’s is quiet evenings spent together. (She likes those, too, so that’s what they usually wind up doing. Just sometimes you gotta Battle Couple it out)

11. Do they have any inside jokes?

Does ‘city slicker’ as a nickname count? Otherwise, no.

13. How do they react at being away from each other?

In the initial stages, Tavi gets 10x more irritable and Aloth gets even quieter than usual. If it’s a long enough separation for them to adjust, both of those reactions even out a bit. Tavi whittles more to distract herself, might sleep in one of his shirts. Aloth has that little hedgehog she whittled him with him at all times, so he’ll rub it like a worry stone if he misses her too much.

16. Jealous at all?

Nah. By the time they get around to admitting and acting on their feelings, they’re secure enough in their relationship it’s never really an issue(plus, neither is the flirty-for-fun type).

24. Is their there any moment that happens between them that you know happens and just makes you melt?

That I haven’t already written about? No. They’ve been pretty well documented. :P I do melt whenever I think of them in relation to that ‘Imagine your OTP kissing each other’s scars’ post, bc NICE    

30. How does their love change as they get older?

It gets to be… quieter. More of an unspoken, background thing. The foundation that you don’t need to see to know it’s sturdy and secure. They don’t say the actual words ‘I love you’ as often after ~100 years(do you know how much it both pleases and boggles me that I have a pairing that might get roughly TWO CENTURIES of being Together, depending on how long they live????), but it’s in every time she calls him city slicker or he tells her to be careful or the little things they do for each other.

1. What drew your character to their LI and vice versa?

They were both drawn by each other’s kindness, also, Charity really likes Edér’s sense of humor, he admires her bravery, they accept each other as they are(not perfect)… it’s a pretty long list. 

4. Their favorite physical feature on each other?

I’ve actually gotten this one before for them, so, to copy/paste:

Charity’s favorite feature of Edér’s is his smile or his hands. The man’s smile could light up a room and he gives killer backrubs. Which she’s benefited from multiple times. Edér’s favorite feature of Charity’s is her eyes. She has warm, open brown eyes that 90% of the time are dancing like she just told a great joke. He loves her eyes.

9. How open are they with their feelings?

Oh, once the idiots admit they’re falling for each other, they’re extremely open with their feelings.   

14. Is their there anything they associate with each other?

Charity associates Edér with the sun(bc of his smile), pipe smoke, and that mischievous glint in his eye whenever Sparrow acts like she likes him better than Charity. Oh, and food. Bc the man’s a great cook. Edér associates Charity with the smell of fresh dirt(if that makes sense?), hair twirling, and Eothas, her being a priest and all.

18. Is their there any way they disappoint each other?

The closest we get to that is Edér wishing she’d been honest about where she’s from sooner. But even that he understands why she didn’t. Aside from that…. nothing so far. (and look, they’re my fluffy go-to, there probably won’t be much, even if I acknowledge in my head that it’s an idealized relationship. Just sayin’)

23. Did you tailor your OC for the other in the romance?

Not really. Charity was my solution to Tavi 2.0 taking a hard pass on Durance. I made her a priest of Eothas bc I like what he stands for as a god, had a brief moment of ‘she’d get on well with Edér” but didn’t really think about it til I used her as a character in Hidden Talents and she shyly informed me that “get on well with” had translated to “has a crush on” and I went OH. So yeah, how perfect they are for each other just sort of happened, it wasn’t planned.

27. What makes you excited about their relationship? 

Also the trust and honesty and all, but mainly yeah. They’re just cute and fluffy and fun/relaxing to write and I love them.

29. What are your favorite moments that happen between them?

Well, the proposal in The Honest Truth. (tbh, the entirety of The Honest Trust) The “accidental” kiss in Something There(I see u Edér, pretending you don’t got The Feelings). The moment with the scarf at the end of Practice Makes Perfect. That good morning prompt fill.  ANY time Edér kissed Charity on the nose bc they were only Fake Dating and he couldn’t kiss her on the lips. :D

30. How does their love change as they get older?

It matures, gets comfortable, like that pair of slippers that stretch and settle perfectly to fit your feet. They’re one of those couples who have a really good level of unspoken communication and are great at anticipating each other’s needs. Backrubs, hugs, comfort food, an excuse out of a party, time alone, etc etc.

i always use olga the cow and his time in the mountains as a kid for these types of answers so let’s switch it up shall we?

he’s 15/16 years old and he and grisha had survived their first full year as official members of the winslow city thieves guild after completing their training. scheduling had just worked out so that he didn’t have a shift anywhere after midnight, so he spent it relaxing and playing cards/dice with other members. it’s maybe 3am when grisha stops by and pulls him away from the game with a crooked smile and a promise of a surprise. valko follows, and he’s led through the winding thieves tunnels until they surface somewhere in the silent wealthy district. the two make their way through the winding streets, sticking to the shadows, before grisha stops at a particularly tall building and begins to climb. valko does the same. he reaches the top to find a sort of rooftop garden that has a view overlooking most of the city. grisha sits down at the eastern ledge of the rooftop. valko moves to sit beside him. grisha digs into his bag, which he had been extra careful not to jostle too much on the climb up, and pulls out a dagger and a bottle of very old, very expensive wine. he shoots a grin and asks if valko wants to do the honors. valko takes the dagger and uncorks the bottle. and they spend the rest of the night there on that rooftop garden.

there were no birthday celebrations in the thieves guild….but sitting outside with his best friend and a bottle of fine wine between them, watching the sun rise…that was the closest thing to it. 

lightning: who’s the most impulsive character? and who is their impulse control?

valko generally veers on the more impulsive side, particularly when engaging verbally with someone/thing that can easily overpower him…..he’s got a mouth on him….as the campaign has gone on i do think he’s gotten better at restraining his actions….particularly after the Incident 2.0™ since he knows that pretty much everything he does is going to be scrutinized. but even then he’s still acted pretty impulsively in certain situations.

depends on which one, but let’s use mark bc im always feelin him. mr. darcy 2.0. okay, so this guy is a lawyer, right? he’s a human rights lawyer, which is pretty cool actually, and he cares deeply about people. however, he keeps so manY THINGS INSIDE. he just bottles shit up, and he’s honestly a huge snob, but that’s also bc that’s what he feels like he should act like, and he loves bridget rose jones to the end of the earth. also he’s one of those “fight me” ppl - would not recommend getting him angry bc he’ll be like “let us go outside for a duel,” and actually it’s pretty funny, so if u need a good laugh, challenge mark darcy to a fight

okay, so is this tumblr rp or other rp? bc the first rp i was ever in went way way back to when i was in middle school. it was on this forum, and it was this hayden panettiere oc who was a siren (she went to school with a ton of magical creatures), and i think her name was ariella bc i was obsessed with that name back then. and she was, honestly, the_worst.mp3. like i wanted her to be with this guy who was starting to see this other girl and so when they had play rehearsal (for legally blonde, she was cast as elle), i had her start to have a heart attack?? bc i was like ‘this will work, this will get him to love her’ and whoa, what a twisted time, my friends. i don’t think i’d write her again unless i revamped her - and actually that could be really fun hm...

okay, buckle up, bc this is gonna be a ride. so, four years ago, i applied for this disney rp, not knowing anything about tumblr rp tbh, and my character was the daughter of tarzan and jane. and the rp was set up that all interactions were online - like the charaters had tumblrs or whatever and that’s how they interacted (unless you decided to para, and then that was in person. it was actually a pretty genius way to get ppl to para bc whenever u wanted to do something in person, you had to write it out), and tbh sometimes i forgot about that and i think other ppl did too. anyways, when the rp first started, there was this skype chat made, and we all bonded and it became like a family. for a long time, those ppl felt like my family, we called ourselves an ohana bc it really felt like that (and honestly, i still think of ppl from that rp as fam, inky & zoe, if ya’ll are reading this i love you so much okay <3333). i got so invested in that rp, and it became my life in a sad way. granted, this was when my depression was at its worst, so this rp was a way to cope and yeah. but the friendships i made with other people were so deep and precious, and the drama in character and out of character added much needed life to me at a time when i needed it most. also, my favorite ship of all time came out of that rp, so it honestly gave me so much, and i’m thankful for it.
