tysm for the rq ^_^ took a few extra days to finish this bc I felt I could make it better, and I’m very happy I did! noelles dark world sprites always make me feel a little melancholy, that small change from her bucktoothed smile to a more neutral/sorrowful expression… I wanted to give her outfit more of an ice motif and a cool palette to reflect that feeling. also. I actually did a background instead of a gradient??? obviously dess themed, tried to make it look a little blurred in the distant neon signs to reflect her ghost-like role in noelles life

I got a wacom one tablet, one of the old ones I think. its very nice to have a screen I can draw directly on :) out of all the drawings I’ve done so far to practice using it, this one’s definitely my favourite

How I draw Bruno Madrigal: A tutorial!

Before you say it, yes, I know I draw him way too much. Maybe this’ll come in handy for someone here djhhfjgjg- (plus it’s an excuse to draw him for the millionth time today soooo)

Disclaimer: This post is NOT meant to bash ANYONE for how they draw. It’s just a tutorial on how I draw Bruno, everyone’s style is different!!

Step one: Face shape

I always make sure I have the right face shape down, or else it won’t really look like the character I’m tryna draw (in my eyes at least). Bruno’s face shape is somewhat almond/diamond shaped, just upside down. His cheekbones make little points at the sides 👀

Step two: Nose

I see a lot of people drawing Encanto characters with the wrong nose shape/size (don’t worry, I struggled with this for years lmao), so I tried to make it a bit more simple.

His nose is like an upside down kite shape, like his face except the points are a little lower/closer to the tip!

Step 3: Eyes

Bruno’s eyes are very round, and there isn’t a whole lot of space in between them; I see a lot of fan art with his eyes spaced pretty far apart, so try keeping them closer to the bridge of the nose (I also did this too at first, so don’t fret!!)

I come back to the circles under his eyes later 👁👁

Step 4: Mouth/teeth

Bruno has tooth gaps!! (Teeth gaps? Grammar no exist) the most noticeable one is right up front, but there’s also one round near the back jshsgdjhd

Step 5: Brows

Bruno’s eyebrows have that little crease at the top most of the time, unless his expression is relaxed. In case you can’t read my handwriting: they’re thicker at the beginning, curve up just a bit, and then they taper at the end.

Step 6: Hair

His hair is type 2c I believe (it might be 3a, there’s posts on here about that as well if I’m wrong!!) You can also either go on google or Pinterest to get reference pictures.

Bruno has these two distinct strands that hang into his eyes (I’ve colored them in to point them out) that I absolutely adore drawing! Fun fact: I have the exact same two strands (my hair is either 2b or 2c, I can’t quite remember hfhfhfhgh) that do the exact same thing!!

Step 7. Facial hair

Bruno’s beard (goatee?? It’s kinda both I think???) isn’t exactly a full beard, it’s basically just long stubble lmao

I have a bit of trouble with this for the sole reason that I’m just bad at facial hair hahahaa-

Step 8. Colors

The color palette in the second image is more accurate than the first! I color picked the skin tone to the best of my ability, along with the hair and other parts. For his eyes, I use the shade of purple on a multiply layer, along with the blush. His freckles are just the small light brown next to the white and green for his eyes (in the second image)

Bruno’s hair looks pretty brown right there as well, but thats only because of the highlights (I used a golden yellow, you’ll see in the next image) the colors I used for his hair are the two grays; the lighter one is used for the silver strands, and I always color the two front strands with it. For the rest, I just add random streaks into the darker shade.

With his ruana and undershirt, I kinda just eyeballed the colors (I color picked at first, but altered them just a bit afterwards)

Step 9: Shading/lighting (this is optional!)

This is the finished product! I tweaked the line art just a bit, fixed his nose since I forgot how physics work and forgot that the nose turns up with the smile oops hahaha

I changed the line color to a warm brown for a softer look, and I shaded his eyes with a darker/more saturated green on a multiply layer and then put neon yellow highlights at the bottom on an add layer. I used a dark maroon/brown on a multiply layer as well for the shading and a golden yellow-orange for the highlights on an add layer (I feel Ike I’ve typed “layer” so many times so I’mma just say this rq: I always put shading on multiply and highlights on add!!)

I also put a little shade for his lips since I forgot them too ahahaa,,,

ANYWAYS there you have it!! I’ll post some extras that could also be good examples soon (because sadly I’ve reached the image limit dammit)

WoWkinz- Warcraft kin rq blog!

Hello, admin Koltira here.

Warcraft (and associated universes) is a very important source for me, so I was saddened to see that there were mainly dead kin help blogs and low rates of consistent community whatsoever in its kin populace.

You may call me mod/admin/etc. Koltira. I have other Warcraft kins but Koltira is the main name I will use to identify myself. Identity is weird but I believe I am masc-leaning nonbinary. He/its is fine. I am over 18 years old.

My goal is to affect what positive change I can manage regarding that apparent fact and hopefully bring everyone a little closer, all while exercising my creativity to the benefit of others in the process.

On that note, a little bit about my intentions of operation:

Non-canons of all kinds are acceptable to submit requests for! Just got to be kin-related. (Muses and kin are not the same. You may kin your muse, however, and on that note a request would be valid.)

Until further notice, I, admin Koltira, intend to run this blog by my lonesome. This has potential to change in the future.

Calls will more often than not be put through upon being seen as this is a fairly low-energy task. However, as a general rule all forms of processing requests is most likely to be accomplished in a manner of timeliness while requests are open.

If a request is submitted without providing indications of how the requester wants it to be filled (i.e. specific inclusions, to abide by a certain color palette, to not involve specific color(s) or imagery, words, etc; saying you want a general [insert noun here] board), then the product is entirely up to the interpretation of the admin. It is perfectly ok to ask for a revision on a filled request but it is also the right of the admin to decline or postpone said revision in favour of completing in-process orders. TL;DR I do not intend to read your mind!

I will do my best to keep a record of individuals who interact with this blog, especially if they express desire to be included in our url /database (and/or #database). Registry counts as independent of requests. Feel free to include Warcraft kin related information, such as account names, kin list, people you’re looking to interact with. By default canon/timeline calls will be added to our records.

As of this release (31 Dec 2019), accepted request types include, relating to a person/being, responsibility, relationship (platonic, familial or otherwise), faction, location, and/or other theme(s):

Canon/timeline call

Relatively simple sketch of a described person/scene, time spent/attentive quality warranted to the piece adjusting as complexity rises (if inspiration strikes this could be spontaneously upgraded in the moment)

Aesthetic boards (3x3 image grid default)

A short, playlist, based on given information/context (~ songs, less than 9 as a rule for my sanity)

Small basic OR experimental collage (minimum of 10 Independent items including text and pictures, specifying “experimental” enables me to take greater risks in assembling the product such as playing with opacities/layering/effects and such which I might not be inclined to do otherwise)

Stim boards (3x3 gif grid default)

List of less than common words (at least five)/word collage to represent a described theme

Guidelines:

No themes of p/dophilia, r/pe, t/rture, er/tica, or g/re. If you have a request which may impede on standard guidelines, you may attempt messaging with your request so as not to subject the public eye. This is meant to encompass 18+ individuals who may want to request excessively violent and/or (consensually) nsfw themes.

If not accepting the default, specify what level of independence you desire from your request (i.e. if you want to be messaged the finished product instead of being tagged in the posted response, etc). The default will be to @ the user who submits the ask in the immediate text for the post, such as in this: “[Request type and theme] for @/user.” [followed by tags below].

Please only detail one request of any type per ask submission. If you send greater than one request within a period of less than a day, each beyond the first entry of yours in that frame will be interchanged within the queue as it follows the order of all other submissions within that time frame.
