What do you mean by mtmte being more like fanfiction /gen?
Of course not all fanfictions are flawed, but in my opinion MTMTE/LL has all the same issues that plague a lot of fanfiction and especially TF fanfic:
Despite being a story mainly about robots, they have severe racist themes in their plotlines. A lot of TF fanfics make broad essentializing statements about transformers with certain frame-types, who have certain home city-states, etc. and are written with the idea that these are facts. A lot of the time, the themes are related to real-world racism, like having all the Black-coded transformers characters being naturally prone to violence. James Roberts's MTMTE/LL also does similar things and its plotline is deeply and largely unquestioningly racist. I hate typing her name, but Mengel is probably my go-to example of racist themes in this series. (Ableism too is often in TF fanfic, and MTMTE/LL has some of the most ableist themes in TF).
A lot of fanfics have unnatural character and relationship growth because they're written to be wish-fulfillment. MTMTE/LL features in my opinion many major characters who don't develop naturally, but instead suddenly change in characterization without buildup, and relationships that feel forced. A really clear example would be with CDRW, a relationship that was extremely toxic and uncomfortable to watch for a long time, but then suddenly became very supportive and affectionate with the second Rewind almost out of nowhere! Another really good example might be how the mutiny was handled.
High levels of edginess. Fanfic often skews darker than the source material, and MTMTE/LL falls into the bad camp of not necessarily using that to explore interesting themes, but instead to be as gratuitously gory and offensive as possible. I made a post about the tropes JRo used for the villainous characters that sorta explains this. JRo threw in a lot of things like addiction into his stories seemingly without having a clear understanding of the implications.
A lot of fanfics like to explore tropes with preexisting characters, and I swear the majority of MTMTE/LL's plot points feel like JRo was copying stuff he saw in episodes of Star Trek or Doctor Who. A lot of the time things just kinda happen in MTMTE/LL without feeling like they were natural developments in the story, too, as if JRo was skipping over anything he wasn't personally interested in.
#The cinnamonrollification of Tailgate over the course of the series also speaks to this IMO#transformers idw#negative#my analysis

How about 1, 15, 23 for the air your grievances ask game?
Hi! :-)
What's your biggest __[insert fandom]__ pet peeve(s)?
Oof, okay... I think my biggest pet peeve with the M/C/U fandom is how greedy certain pockets of it can be. When 80-95% of either the canon or fandom is catered to you, I don't get complaining so hard about the slim percentage that doesn't. It's infuriating. But I've talked about that a bunch in the past.
Something I don't think ever talked about is how this fandom drives me up the damn wall as a music nerd. The biggest example is folks describing the Guardians soundtracks/"Qu*ll's taste in music" as "80s music." No. No, they're not. They're mainly the 70s. I know, I counted, after the fandom nearly gaslit me into doubting my own knowledge. In fact, out of the trilogy, IW, the Gro/ot shorts, and the Holiday special, only Vol 3 and the Holiday special contain any 80s songs. (And for record, this isn't me shitting on the 80s or anything. I'm an 80s baby and love tons of music from that era. This is just me being an insufferable know-it-all, lol.)
Another one is constantly framing Sam's recommendation of Tro/uble Man as some kind of come on. Like, first of all, that album is mainly a score and the few lyrics that do exist on it are not sexy. Second of all, oh my God, there's more to Marvin than just sex jams, holy shit. It's very obvious that some are only familiar with stuff like "Let's get it on" and "Sexual Healing" and that's it and... I can't help it, that makes me so sad.

15. Name an aspect of __[insert character]__ that you think gets frequently overlooked in fanfiction characterizations/deserves more attention/exploration
I think fandom's really dropped the ball with post-EG Steve. We could've had sprawling epics with Steve creating timeline after timeline where he had full lives with every Av*nger and Guardian and whoever else and having D*ctor Who style adventures across space and time. But, noooope. Nada.
I'll also never understand how I've only ever seen one fic where Professor H*lk and Steve raise Baby!Scott. That's comedy gold, right there. And how the hell did Sh*-H*lk not spawn a ton of St*ve/Jen? Not to mention all the cool concepts WI? has given the fandom on a silver platter only for them to be completely ignored.
23. Share an unpopular opinion you have RE: __[insert fandom]__
At the risk of being skinned alive, I know that even people who don't ship St*cky romantically will say that they still love them as friends instead. And I... don't. I can't get into that dynamic, even platonically. Most of their relationship is told rather than shown and what little we are shown doesn't endear it to me at all. Fandom can scream "till the end of the line" until it's blue in the face, but that doesn't make up for its problems in the slightest. (And frankly, I think that was the main purpose of the line to begin with, but that's a whole other rant.) I mean, B*cky spends most of T/F/A coming off (to me) like a condescending prick towards Steve and then spends the rest of Steve's time in the films deliberately staying as far away as humanly possible. It feels very one-sided to me, overall. And why should I revere that period, but especially so when dynamics like the ones Steve has with S*m, N*t, and P*ggy exist? Dynamics where the love and respect is quite clearly mutual and they actively want to be in his life? There's just no contest as far as I'm concerned.
Now, in fairness, theirs isn't the only dynamic in the films that's way more tell than show nor is it the worst offender in terms of the discrepancy between what's told and what's shown, but again, those are other rants.
Sorry about this getting kinda long. I'd been holding that first rant in for a loooong time, lol, so thank you for sending this in and giving me the chance to finally get that off my chest. XD

'by request' muses + how badly they break canon
MUSE: kokoro kyriakou FANDOM: a realm full of cardiovascular imagery RELATIVE: er*qus (uncle) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: not at conception when the relative had 0 backstory lore, but then the mobile game dropped, and now she is the merriest of mary sues -- and not just because she's related to a canon, either. lore has it only two apprentices survived an attack on their generation of wielders, so kokoro's dad can't even exist post-dr. multi-generational drift against canon events.
MUSE: astraea l*cis cael*m FANDOM: last legend the fifteenth time RELATIVE: n*ct (brother), r*g*s (father), and *rd*n (ancestor) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: over her knee like a single dry twig. the whole narrative kind of depends on the end of a dynasty, and here i go introducing a member that is actively defying the gods and circumstances that make victims of her male relatives. she's mostly here to explore aspects of canon that were left to atrophy tbh.
MUSE: zorya constantine FANDOM: graphics about sleuths RELATIVE: miss fishnets herself and some cunt from beatlesville DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: surprisingly, no. there have been universes in the past that show her parents having reproduced, and in fact a complementary muse i play is her brother from one such universe. i tend to default to her being a visitor from another universe rather than any particular interpretation's child.
MUSE: 'valas' d*vir FANDOM: the gate of a norse god RELATIVE: 1-2's pc (father), v*conia d*vir (mother) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: prior to 3? no. v*conia's romanced ending -- the one i pursued as a baby kadi -- has her bearing the pc's child. after the character assassination of her in 3? yep. wretcheds of the c*ast completely scrapped her canon characterization to make a one dimensional zealot of her, so everything came crashing down for valas' lore. my city now, though.
MUSE: kayden c*nnors FANDOM: marvelous graphics RELATIVE: the l*zard / dr. c*rt c*nnors (father) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: yeah. she doesn't even get a zorya pass of other lore existing that at best doesn't rule her out -- the c*nnors only ever have a single son in the whole of comics history. writing kayden in as an older daughter in the family dynamic upends decades of comics lore, and i revel in getting meta w it.
MUSE: mira snow FANDOM: a ditty of icyhot RELATIVE: br*ndon st*rk (father), ash*ra d*yne (mother), assorted canon relatives DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: ssssort of? it's implied her mother had a daughter prior to her death, and that it was a st*rk brother that was responsible. mira is me pursuing that plot thread and chasing 'what ifs' about her role in the already unconventional dynamics of w*nterfell. the big divergence is the kid is allegedly dead.
MUSE: ly*nna b*lton FANDOM: a ditty of icyhot RELATIVE: r**se b*lton (father), b*th*ny rysw*ll (mother), brothers out the wazoo DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: undoubtedly. while the lord of l33ches has many stillborn or cradle-withering sons to his name, no daughters are ever mentioned. it's pretty clear if she had survived where her brothers had not, it wouldn't be for long given her half-brother's proclivities. i am simply pursuing female horror narratives.
MUSE: laerion v*laryon FANDOM: a ditty of icyhot: revenge of the son-cousin of the prequel RELATIVE: c*rlys and rh*en*s (parents), l*ena and l*en*r (siblings) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: yep. family's fucked and then i throw another not into the fire, out into the roaring waves of their dominion. the heir who would give anything to be in his brother's shadow again. he's gonna be okay, though, bc my city now. i'm ridiculously fond of him and i can't be convinced to part with him.
MUSE: odessa h*rkonnen FANDOM: dewn RELATIVE: the h*rkonnens (extended relatives) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: not as badly as you would expect. we never get a full scope of the size of this noble house as opposed to the sparseness of their enemy's family line. an offshoot of the main line is not unthinkable, as we have no idea who in the family holds the ancestral planet together while the baron is absent.
MUSE: danae sp*ncer FANDOM: the malicious dwellers of the zombie apocalypse RELATIVE: the properly dishonorable earl sp*ncer (father) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: yes, canon makes it clear the earl is the last of his family -- but. i can argue the phrasing 'end of his illustrious line' could mean the family name dies with him, as danae would be anticipated to take her husband's name, or as i write it, that danae was disowned, disinherited, and no more a true sp*ncer.
MUSE: julia mayfair FANDOM: cawabooty RELATIVE: v*kt*r r*zn*v (great-grandfather) DOES THIS MUSE BREAK CANON: in all honesty? no. we know nothing of the man's backstory or connections prior to the war, save that he had a father who was killed by germans. this is a case where you can say anything about her great-grandfather and there's nothing contradicting or supporting you. there's no canon to break.
#pupper called this my 'self inflicted naughty list and he's right --#juliatbt#danaetbt#odessabt#kaydentbt#laeriontbt#miratbt#lyatbt#zoryatbt#valastbt#straytbt#kokorotbt

NIGHTWISH Plays Last Concert In Finland Before Planned Break From Touring
NIGHTWISH played its last concert in Finland before its upcoming break from touring on Saturday, June 17 at Lemonsoft Stadion in Vaasa. Fan-filmed video of the performance can be seen below.
NIGHTWISH has only one more live appearance on its schedule: Thursday, June 22 at the Tons Of Rock festival in Oslo, Norway.
This past April, NIGHTWISH surprised fans by announcing that the band was not going to be playing any live shows for the foreseeable future and would be not be touring in support of the group's next studio album, which is tentatively due in 2024.
NIGHTWISH's statement read as follows: "As the 'Human :ll: Nature - World Tour' is drawing to a close, we feel now is the time to tell you of our plans for the next phase in our journey.
"After the planned shows for June 2023 we will be 'hanging up our spurs' for an indeterminate time, as far as live concert performances go, and won't be touring the next album.
"The reasons for this decision are personal, but, we all agree, vital to the wellbeing and future of the band. Be assured that we still love working together, and this decision has nothing to do with Floor's [Jansen, NIGHTWISH singer] pregnancy or our other individual projects.
"However, an album of 12 new songs will see bright daylight in 2024, as will 3 music videos! The band is positively hyped beyond words over this new upcoming musical adventure.
"Stay tuned for updates from our legendary NIGHTWISH band camp & studio this summer!"
Last December, NIGHTWISH keyboardist and main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen said the band's upcoming follow-up to 2020's "Human. :II: Nature." will be the third part of a trilogy that began with 2015's "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album. He told Metal Hammer: "I immediately knew after getting that album ['Endless Forms Most Beautiful'] done that, 'Okay, we have to do more songs about this, because there's so much more to explore and tell the world. We're not done with this.' And the same thing happened after 'Human. :II: Nature.'; we're still not done. So let's do one more. At least one more.
"In a way, [the next album] is the third part of a trilogy, which started with 'Endless Forms…' and then 'Human. :II: Nature.' There are some major surprises there again, but it feels like a natural continuation to 'Human. :II: Nature.'"
According to Tuomas, NIGHTWISH's next LP will cover previously uncharted ground while continuing in the more cinematic style that has characterized some of the band's recent efforts..
"The wonderful thing is that we have had the demo [of the album] done since last spring. So it's been done for six months now. We really have all the time in the world to go through it all, and we have had a such great time with the band, just listening to the demo in our hotel rooms — me singing the lyrics and the melodies to Floor [Jansen, vocals]. She's recording them and then she's seeing them and throwing ideas to each other."

SEMPAI NOTICED ME!
First Draft was super effective, it seems, regardless of how much sleep deprived I was. I even forgot to attach the notes! Maaaan, the mistakes I'm seeing...
(Well, 80% of my first drafts are written while I am sleep deprived, because it comes out easier, to be polished later. Because I have sleep schedule of a maniac (I'm on Tumblr, what do you expect?) It's a rather easy thing to do, but it does make my first drafts easy identifiable as first...)
Anyway, questions open!
I actually lost quite a bit of steam at the second section, and almost fumbled the ending - I do think still it needs rearrangement.
Moreover, I kinda forgot about Roddy while and therefore rushed him in. And I'm bad with dialogue.
So, notes!
LL's characterization comes from the thesis of "a person who would get along with Roddy but is neither a Roddy 2.0 nor Drift" combined with "very tiny for a Big Robot" and "Lost Light is a festival of grieving, and names have meaning here". Somewhere in the middle he got Roddy's old Cybertronian job (because small ship, more agile, better for quick trips, oh hey, remember Firefly/Serenity? He can be a Cybertronian-proportioned Serenity). He is curious, cheery, bold but in an awkward way, has kitchy taste in aesthetics (NEON FLAME PATTERNS FOR THE GOD OF NEON FLAME PATTERNS, and he is not allowed to paint himself and deal optical damage to friend and foe alike), proud of his strong points, independent, mellow but slightly melancholic, blunt, and very welcoming to the point eager to please. He does not quite care about most things that do not affect him directly and surprisingly "larger picture" about most things which do. At his core, he is a wandering adventurer, here to join your party at any tavern, but currently he is both a taxi driver and a cargo hauler doing legal smuggling (I watched Smokey And The Bandit not too long ago, the theme song is still stuck in my head). He is very much a leap, than look guy. Roddy will talk him into a lot of things (like flamethrowers, incendiary missiles and flame decals).
Termination shock is where solar wind slows down and the end of the inner part of a given star's heliosphere. Both Voyager probes passed through ours already!
LL is an expedition ship in canon, so here he not only dreams of being of explorer, he is a very dedicated mapmaker. His job, therefore, is both guide and transportation.
LL does not retain Swerve's name because of canon Swerve's issues with being forgotten. "Swalter" is actually a bit of a incomprehensible joke: Swire is a name of an Arknights character, so the fourth wrong name was originally Salter, for FGO's Saber Alter, but then I noticed that the other names do all start with "Sw", so fsteak it became.
Prowl got crabs because LL is a courier - there is an old MLP fanfiction that builds off this exact joke, while the greater running joke is that the main character is warring with postage. Only Jazz got the accidental (on LL's part) joke.
What has broken, and what Roddy is attempting to fix is, in idea, the outer fuel lines for flamethrowers. Those probably shouldn't be welded, but those two are already scolded by Ratchet and probably are worse at mechanical engineering than me, so...
LL has those robot arms that Nemesis/Trypticon had in it's fueling room (and menaced the children with) in his hangar. Now with attachable welders!
LL has conducted repairs on himself from inside while in altmode when running express deliveries. Since he lived and delivered, those counts as successes.
And that all from the process I remember.
Titan LL!
Heavens, I love Titan LL.
...You know, since nobody's doing anything, I think I'll try something. Dibs!
.*.*.*.
Lost Light is named after a day of mourning.
He doesn't feel like it.
Perhaps it was a wish made upon the smallest of the youngest batch of Titans, brought online shortly before fires of revolution blazed across Cybertron and it's domains. For the mourning to be the least in the coming times. Perhaps they succeeded, but joke's on them. Lost Light may have been online through the times of grief, but grief does not touch his spark. It's another element of his surrounding, like floating rocks, clouds of solid something, solar winds, the works.
Well, for a given definition of "online", because, he, his batch and some older Titans were moored in random spots in the system, just away from Cybertron itself.
The new batch was mostly stationed in the shadows of Cybertron, in vain hopes of civil war going away quickly. But sometimes, when the fighting peaked and threatened to reach the moons, they were herded away and over to the system's edge, near the border of termination shock. There were a lot of visible stars here. And Primus, there was nothing more Lost Light liked more than those beautiful, beautiful stars.
The first Titans were sparked to carry their Cybertronian brethren beyond the embrace of their homeworld to the stars and defend them on the way. Not all Titans functioned as deep-space transport nowadays, but that was the original idea behind their frametype. Wayfarers.
And just when Lost Light started to go mad between moorings and itched to stretch his warp drive, because Primus and Unicron conspired to punish him specifically for his hubris, the Quintessons struck.
And Titans of Cybertron, eternal guardians they are, stood as the first line. While the little ones below scrambled around and got their priorities and slag-all in order, they stood. And together they withstood successfully. Neither Cybertron nor any planet in it's system fell to the Quintessons. It was not a clean victory, and Quints broke the lines to land incursions, but the Titans weathered enough that the little ones on the grounds were not overwhelmed. They endured the first of storms.
In the end of the beginning, the home system was safe, the civil war was over, and the Titans under the newly united Cybertronian High Command were partially reassigned to the outer fronts.
Now, Lost Light is a tiny Titan. An unusually tiny Titan by Titan standarts. He heard it was because there was a mix-up of vessels for reforging into Titanframes, and his was made from a late shipment two classes below specification.
His largest configuration houses in theory a thousand crewmembers. He prefers his smallest, which should hold above a dozen, but he does not have even a dozen of a crew anyway. He is still a Titan, and can comfortably rip into one, two, three Quint ships, but he cannot withstand a dozen, and Primus below, Quint ships in outer space come in waves and swarm like the squids they are. Instead, in this war he does he does best of what he does - he runs. He is small, his warp drives and bridge generators are the best among his batchmates, and he is fast. So he runs.
There's no Quint blockade that can stop him. Perhaps his cargo hold is not the largest, but if he is given a delivery, he will deliver it as soon as possible, come Pit or high tides. There's no escort craft that can keep up with him (and let's be honest, they are already understaffed enough that they simply can't find proper escort for his size), so he runs alone. If the Prime himself needs an express delivery, Lost Light is the Titan for the job.
He sees a lot of stars on his runs. He is pretty sure some of them are at least unclaimed, and some may be uncharted at all, so he marks them all on his maps. For later! Once the war ends, the beautiful, beautiful stars are his! He amasses a lot of maps, colors and marks them in the brightest hues his software comes with.
And some little ones even ask after the maps. Not like he hides them or something.
So, when the Prime calls, he comes.
Prime waits for him in the hanger personally. Together with the usual retinue, very much less usual very large pile of maps, boards and documents, a Perceptor hidden behind the pile of stuff (Xanthium talks about her favorite gunner a lot, when they have time to catch up), some twitchy engineer and his frequent passenger of express ferry Head Tactician Prowl.
Who has something very tiny enthusiastically crawling on him. Something so tiny, he has to recalibrate his inner and outer sensors for recordicon contact. His optics were hit in bot mode by rocks larger! Which were sometimes crawling with assorted space crustaceans! Come to think of it, thos crustaceans moved similarly...
And, because he is better at acceleration than braking, first thing Lost Light does is voice this observation.
"Prowl, sir, you've got crabs"
...
That was a start of a wonderful working relationship. Once they calm the tiny organic down from laughing, that is. It's name is Jazz, and it needs a ride home. Home which is besieged by Quintessons, and likely is near a fortified outpost, if not a starbase.
Strictly speaking, usually Titans are kept apart from organics, because they are usually very small, and tend to rot and fossilize. But since Lost Light is also very small, he got a direct invitation to an organic planet and immediately engaged his internal environmental system to produce enough oxygen. This is a chance of a lifetime!
Which brings him to his current... Problem?
The thing is, Jazz apparently has comrades. They pilot simulacrum frames specialized in Quint killing, which is very much respectable. And Lost Light's alt-mode's hangar bay may be a little tight in this configuration, but still compatible with them.
The issue is, one of those simulacrums which Lost Light got to shelter, a pleasantly painted one (flame patterns are always in vogue! No matter what anybody says!), appears to have broken down. Which made the organic inside very upset. At least he thinks it's upset, he is not very good at reading organics. Those "humans" do have fields, but they are very dull in comparison to Cybertronian ones.
The little organic with great taste is shouting what appears to be obscenities at unresponsive frame and alternates this with begging. Lost Light is floundering in his processor. The organic performs some indecipherable actions towards a fuel line of some sort with a tiny wrench. He's been at it for hours. None of the others from Jazz's makeshift warband returned yet.
This means Lost Light is responsible as the hosting Titan. Lost Light is usually alone. He does not quite know how to host other Cybertronians for prolonged periods of time, let alone organics. He hopes he maintains a nice oxygenated atmosphere.
He cannot watch this anymore. He has to gather all his confidence in his circuits and do something. Like talk to an organic without Prowl or the twitchy engineer (Swear? Swole? Swire? Swalter?) present. And, well, he'll figure how to decelerate later!
"Little one, do you require any assistance? I do have an internal welder somewhere..."
The organic startles, almost falling from it's precarious perch at the simulacrum's locked elbow joint, catches itself in time, and glances around. Then it glances up. And around again.
"I haven't hit my head that hard, yes? Is there someone here?"
"Well, yes? I mean no offence, but you're inside me"
Silence answers him, quickly broken by laughter. He remembers Jazz laughing. It is a similar laugh. He thinks he likes this laugh more.
"Well, I did not expect the ship to be speaking too. I really should not be surprised after this whole month"
At least the organic isn't despairing anymore? Lost Light thinks he can see a smile on it's face if he strains the camera.
"Technically, I'm a Titan. I'm a ship in the same way Deadlock is a,,, what you call small ground vehicle... Car? If I want to, I can be a building."
"Wait, but if you're the ship... How big do you guys come?!"
"Very. Now, little one, do you want my welder or not?"
Another wave of laughter follows.
"I do have a name!"
"You did not introduce myself"
"Cheeky. And yet, you did not introduce yourself either, big ship"
"My designation is Lost Light, and I'm the best Titan Courier this side of the galaxy"
The organic seems to finally locate his internal camera and so it points at it with it tiny wrench. Lost Light thinks it likes it's smile too.
"Well, nice to meet'cha, Lost Light. Name's Hot Rod. Now, about that welder..."
Lost Light rummages in his inventory for his favorite welder, mountable on a cargo manipulator. It is surprisingly elusive.
"I have it, I have it.... somewhere. It's been a long time since I patched up myself."
"...You patch yourself up often?"
"Nowadays not much, I'm a very good runner, and... Aha! There it is!"
Hot Rod look very, very happy to see the welder-wielding cargo manipulator. He is so much smaller than the tiniest little ones he carried. He reminds Lost Light of something that escapes his processor.
"Thanks, big ship. I hate ruptured lines. God knows when Ratch and that Swerve guy will be back"
"I'm not that big, you know. And I'm glad to be of assistance"
Despite pointed critique from the organic called Ratchet later on, Lost Light considers his skills with a welder in his internal cargo manipulator arms to be above average.
Hot Rod thinks so too, and ire of a medic shared is misery halved in Lost Light's books.
And then it hits him.
He reminds Lost Light of those beautiful, beautiful distant stars.
Lost Light prepares a very tiny datapad for a very big map.

From the Streets to the Runway: Hip Hop’s Impact on Luxury Fashion Shows
Hip-hop, once considered an underground culture, has made a significant impact on the world of fashion, particularly in the luxury segment. What started as a bold expression of identity on the streets has evolved into a powerful influence that has redefined the runway. Today, luxury hip-hop clothing is not just a trend but a statement that resonates with both artists and fashion enthusiasts alike. This blog explores how hip-hop has transitioned from the streets to the runway, influencing luxury fashion shows and creating a lasting legacy.
The Origins of Hip-Hop Fashion
Hip-hop fashion originated in the 1970s and 1980s, with artists using clothing as a form of self-expression. The early style was characterized by oversized silhouettes, bold prints, and statement accessories like gold chains and sneakers. It was a rebellious look that set hip-hop apart from the mainstream, embodying the spirit of the streets.
As the genre grew in popularity, so did its influence on fashion. Brands like Adidas, Kangol, and Puma became synonymous with hip-hop culture, with artists like Run-D.M.C. and LL Cool J leading the charge. These early collaborations between music and fashion laid the groundwork for what would become a powerful synergy between the two worlds.
The Rise of Luxury Hip-Hop Clothing
As hip-hop moved from the streets to the mainstream, luxury fashion houses began to take notice. The 1990s and 2000s saw the emergence of luxury hip-hop clothing, with designers like Dapper Dan creating custom pieces for artists who wanted to stand out. These pieces, often adorned with logos from high-end brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, became symbols of success and status within the hip-hop community.
The influence of hip-hop on luxury fashion became undeniable as artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams began collaborating with top fashion designers. These collaborations not only elevated the status of hip-hop fashion but also introduced it to a global audience.
Molt & Lava has embraced this fusion of hip-hop and luxury fashion, offering a range of luxury hip-hop clothing that reflects the bold, unapologetic style that defines the genre. Their collections blend streetwear aesthetics with high-end craftsmanship, making them a go-to brand for those who want to make a statement.
Hip Hop’s Presence on the Runway
The presence of hip-hop in luxury fashion shows has grown significantly over the past decade. No longer confined to the streets, luxury hip-hop clothing is now a staple on the runway, influencing the collections of some of the world’s most renowned designers.
Designers like Virgil Abloh, the late creative director of Louis Vuitton, and Kanye West, with his Yeezy line, have been instrumental in bringing hip hop’s influence to high fashion. Their designs often feature elements that are deeply rooted in hip-hop culture, such as oversized fits, bold graphics, and a mix of high and low fashion.
These runway shows are not just about showcasing clothing; they are cultural events that reflect the ongoing dialogue between hip-hop and fashion. The inclusion of luxury hip-hop clothing in these shows signals a shift in the fashion industry, where streetwear and luxury are no longer seen as opposites but as complementary forces.
Molt & Lava continues to be at the forefront of this movement, offering pieces that are both runway-ready and street-approved. Their commitment to quality and innovation ensures that their clothing resonates with the luxury fashion audience while staying true to hip-hop’s roots.
The Cultural Impact of Hip-Hop on Luxury Fashion
The impact of hip-hop on luxury fashion goes beyond clothing. It has influenced the way fashion is presented, marketed, and consumed. Hip-hop’s emphasis on individuality and authenticity has challenged traditional notions of luxury, making fashion more accessible and inclusive.
Social media has played a significant role in this cultural shift. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok have given rise to a new generation of fashion influencers who draw inspiration from both hip-hop and high fashion. These influencers have helped to democratize luxury fashion, bringing luxury hip-hop clothing to a broader audience.
Moreover, the collaboration between hip-hop artists and luxury brands has created a new form of storytelling in fashion. These partnerships often result in limited-edition collections that are not just about clothing but about telling a story that resonates with the culture. Molt & Lava has mastered this art, offering collections that are as much about the narrative as they are about the clothing.
The Future of Luxury Hip-Hop Clothing
As we look to the future, it’s clear that hip-hop will continue to shape the landscape of luxury fashion. The genre’s influence is not just a trend but a cultural movement that shows no signs of slowing down. Luxury hip-hop clothing will remain a key player in fashion, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions.
Brands like Molt & Lava are leading the charge, offering collections that embody the spirit of hip-hop while elevating it to new heights. As the lines between streetwear and luxury continue to blur, Molt & Lava will remain at the forefront, creating clothing that speaks to the heart of the culture.
Conclusion
From the streets to the runway, hip-hop has left an indelible mark on luxury fashion. What began as a form of self-expression has evolved into a global phenomenon that continues to influence the world of fashion. Luxury hip-hop clothing is more than just a style; it’s a statement, a reflection of the culture that created it. As we move forward, the collaboration between hip-hop and luxury fashion will only grow stronger, with brands like Molt & Lava leading the way.

Which Era of Hip-Hop is Superior: The 1980s, the 1990s Golden Age, or Current Era Pop Rap?
The evolution of hip-hop as a genre and cultural movement has been nothing short of phenomenal. Starting from its humble beginnings in the Bronx, New York City, during the late 1970s, hip-hop has grown into a global phenomenon that influences fashion, politics, and of course, music. There are different eras in hip-hop history, each with its unique characteristics, styles, and influential artists.
In this article, we will embark on a critical journey through the primary eras of hip-hop—the foundational years in the 1980s, the much-celebrated 1990s Golden Age, and the current era of pop rap—to explore which one can be considered the most "superior."
The First Era: The 1980s
Characteristics
The first era, the 1980s, is when hip-hop was first commercialized. The genre was raw, and it was during this period that it was introduced to the mainstream through radio and television. Artists like Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, and LL Cool J broke through cultural barriers and made hip-hop a household name. This era defined what we know today as classic hip-hop: heavy beats, DJ scratching, breakdancing, and lyrics focused on storytelling and social commentary.
Cultural Impact
The 1980s were when hip-hop culture began to be recognized as a powerful force for social change. Songs like "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five spoke openly about the struggles of living in impoverished neighborhoods, thus raising awareness about social issues that were often overlooked. The genre was young, full of potential, and unrestricted by commercial pressures.
Legacy
The 1980s are crucial in any discussion about hip-hop’s legacy because they laid the foundations for everything that came after. The basic elements of rap music, from lyrical flow to the role of the DJ, were established during this period. Moreover, the era made hip-hop a viable commercial genre, paving the way for future generations of artists.
The Golden Age: The 1990s
Characteristics
The 1990s is often referred to as the Golden Age of hip-hop, and for a good reason. This era saw an explosion of creativity and innovation. Artists like Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and Jay-Z emerged, each with their unique styles. Whether it was Tupac's poetic lyrics or Biggie’s impeccable flow, this era raised the bar on what hip-hop could be. It also saw the rise of sub-genres like G-funk and East Coast vs. West Coast rap, each contributing richly to the tapestry of hip-hop music.
Cultural Impact
The cultural impact of the 1990s was monumental. Hip-hop began influencing fashion, language, and even politics. It was no longer just a genre; it was a lifestyle. During this era, the genre's commercial success soared but not at the expense of its message and creativity. Songs like "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy and Nas’s "If I Ruled the World" showed that hip-hop could be both commercially successful and socially relevant.
Legacy
Many consider the 1990s to be the epitome of what hip-hop can achieve. It was an era where commercial success and artistic integrity coexisted, producing some of the most iconic albums in history, like Tupac's "All Eyez on Me" and Biggie's "Ready to Die."
The Current Era: Pop Rap
Characteristics
The current era is characterized by its fusion of rap with pop, R&B, electronic, and even country elements. Artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Cardi B dominate the charts with songs that are as much about hooks and melodies as they are about lyrical flow. The genre has never been more diverse, featuring everything from mumble rap to socially-conscious rap.
Cultural Impact
The impact of the current era is massive but in a different way than previous eras. Today’s rap is a dominant force on social media, with rappers being some of the most followed celebrities. The genre's influence has spread globally, and it’s not uncommon to hear rap in languages other than English, proving that the genre has universal appeal.
Legacy
It’s too early to fully assess the legacy of this era, but its reach and commercial success are undeniable. It has produced a number of multi-platinum artists and brought hip-hop into the global mainstream like never before.
The Debate: Which Era is Superior?
Authenticity vs. Evolution
Those who argue for the 1980s often point to the era's authenticity and rawness. Similarly, supporters of the 1990s often highlight its perfect blend of commercial success and artistic innovation. The current era, on the other hand, is celebrated for its diversity and global impact, even if it is sometimes criticized for valuing commercial success over artistic integrity.
The Subjectivity of Superiority
The term "superior" is inherently subjective when discussing art. What one person values in hip-hop—whether it’s lyrical complexity, beats, flow, or social relevance—may not be the same for someone else.
Context Matters
It’s essential to recognize that each era was a product of its time, reflecting the social, political, and technological landscape of its respective period. The 1980s laid the groundwork, the 1990s built upon it with unmatched creativity, and the current era is taking it to new, unprecedented heights.
The Verdict
While each era has its merits, the Golden Age of the 1990s often stands out as the most balanced, offering a near-perfect blend of commercial success, social impact, and artistic innovation. However, that's not to discount the significance of other eras. The 1980s gave the genre its initial push, and the current era is redefining its boundaries.
In the end, the "superiority" of an era in hip-hop is subjective and often tied to personal preference and individual experience. What is unquestionable, however, is the genre's enduring impact on global culture, making all eras valuable in their own right.

Just got finished reading all the posts you linked, and I sincerely appreciate your perspective on this series, thank you for taking the time to share it with me. I'm a person who generally really enjoys heavy whump/fucked up brain stuff/characters who are a moral 'mess' to put it lightly/a lot of other darker themes, but I definitely agree that a lot of them were handled poorly in MTMTE/LL [if they were handled at all, like you mentioned]. One thing that I recall sticking out to me personally is that Rung definitely feels like he's written by a person who doesn't have a good grasp of how therapy works, as someone who's been to multiple therapists myself and has gotten well-acquainted with it. The way he handles patients is written like the writer understood therapy from a purely Hollywood perspective and not really anything else, which is...yeah that's not great.
And MAN...Red Alert, yeah. I really love him, and as someone who's also suffered paranoia and suicidal idealation it was devastating to see him kinda just. Swept aside like that and not in a good way. I really wish he'd been given more/better characterization, because i really related to a lot of things about him and wanted to see more.
And the fact that all the villains are mentally ill, holy shit!! A part of me does want to forgive that, because the way the war is written in this series kinda feels to me like nobody would be left without severe trauma of some kind [with a few exceptions ofc, but I digress], but at the same time it does come off in a lot of ways as lazy writing. Instead of properly exploring what might lead a character to those choices in a natural way, mental illness feels like it's used to handwave that to make less effort in writing the buildup - ie, they were lazy. It also feels... pretty inconsistent regarding what behaviors are framed as destructive/bad/whatever depending on the character displaying them, which is, to be frank, gross [such as the stuff with Trailcutter and Megatron that you spoke on in the first linked post].
And the stuff with Senator Shockwave... yeah. I honestly fucking adore this version of him, I won't lie, but there are some big issues with how we was portrayed like with a lot of other things. I personally think they should have just left him dead at the end of Dark Cybertron and not gone further with it, as I feel it would've been a more satisfying end imo, but that's neither here nor there.
I read MTMTE/LL as my... *checks notes* third iteration of transformers ever? [though I have since also seen tfa and the 1987(?) movie] I watched the first Bayverse movie when I was like 13, watched TFP last year, and then read MTMTE/LL shortly after. It leaves me lacking a lot of context, unfortunately, which it seems made that an easier read given I didn't notice any of the inconsistencies with prior characterization.
That being said!!! I'd love to check out any recommendations you might have for other series/comics I should check out, I've really fallen in love with transformers as a concept and I'd like to see more.
Hello! I just recently found you through that post you made regarding the racism present in MTMTE/LL, and I wanted to say thank you for putting into words what I was struggling to [I still personally love the story, but I also think it's important to be able to look at it critically]. I was also curious - have you done an analysis of the albeism in those comics? It was one of the things that really stuck out to me as someone who's neurodivergent and mentally ill, though I haven't had the energy to really dig into it.
Hi, I'm really happy to hear that post was meaningful to you! I actually haven't done a post just about all the ableist themes of MTMTE/LL. A big part of that is for the same reason as you... it would be so massive and need to have so many examples in it that it might end up being twice the length of the one about racism, and I don't feel capable of writing that. It would drain a lot of my energy. For example, I can think of how long the section just on the Scavengers would be... and they weren't in many issues at all!
Another reason I haven't made a post just about the ableism is that James Roberts did already receive some criticism about this as the series was coming out, to the point that in interviews he gave around the end of Lost Light, he did apologize for what he did with Red Alert and Trailcutter (though I think that is the bare minimum TBH and there were so many other horrible portrayals that he hasn't said sorry for). Whereas when it comes to how ridiculously racist MTMTE/LL is, I had never seen any other extensive criticism about it, and I don't think JRo even now sees any issue with how he portrayed race. I also remember that back when IDW's comics were coming out, there were many, many posts about how problematic TAAO's handling of cold-construction was, but so much of the criticism was like, "This doesn't fit at all with what JRo was trying to say with it!" and I was like. Hm. But everything he was saying with it was extremely racist....
That being said, I did make some other posts you might find interesting. When I recently reread MTMTE/LL, I made some posts about individual things that touch on ableism:
A post all about Trailcutter that discusses his alcoholism
A chart of the tropes JRo used for his villains
Someone asked me my thoughts on Senator Shockwave
A post about Skids and what happened after his death, that includes discussion of his mental health struggles
Also, I'm not sure how to say this, but there's a level of ignorance and carelessness in MTMTE/LL that makes it sometimes difficult for me to analyze things deeply. For example, people on here have made interesting posts about how Rung is written, how he handled his patients, what that means about JRo's intentions and level of knowledge about therapy and mental illness, and so on. But all I can think is, "He literally wrote Rung going out drinking with his patients/potential patients including Ultra Magnus, the guy who loves law and ethics, not giving a shit, and didn't see anything weird about this at all. And then the other 'therapist' in the series and his... partner are a clear ripoff of Hannibal because Tumblr was so obsessed with that show."
#jupiter speaks#thanks again for sharing this with me#I'm learning to be better about being critical even of the things I love#and I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in responding

Today is Day 7: Pastel (I checked!), and I thought of a fun clothes application, and then it took me 800 words to even get to it ... because that’s how that works. We’re back to ace!JC and Lu Lian’s spouses-to-friends situation. This follows this almost immediately.
1297 words, ace!Jiang Cheng & OC, post-CQL reluctant marriage. Fighting like a married couple (oh wait ...); JC’s lingering dead-sister issues get a shoutout (poor JYL); wardrobe movie makeover
Lu Lian spent a beautiful day on the water, with her bizarre husband and his equally bizarre nephew.
Jin Ling was her nephew as well, she supposed. It took her the entire evening and the next morning at her and Jiang Wanyin’s customary breakfast to try to understand her own reaction to the young man’s demand. It was, by all logic, something she should have bared her teeth at. She was not this petulant child’s belonging, something subject to his whims. But she had not felt the hot tight outrage she was accustomed to.
She too had lost her parents. Perhaps that was part of it. She herself been old enough to remember them, at least, but it meant she carried always a deep painful nostalgia for their all-encompassing care. Her own uncle had provided for her, but she had been a half-stranger in his home, an interloper he supported out of familial duty. She had seen something of herself in Jin Ling’s desperate yearning. Still, his behavior was extremely presumptuous. She should ordinarily not have tolerated it, empathy aside.
By the time she had finished her porridge and her second cup of tea, she came to an acceptable conclusion. It was because he had in fact been demanding to belong to her, instead of the other way around.
Apparently something in her heart had been keen to take a possession of her own.
“The robemaker is coming this morning,” Jiang Wanyin said, without preamble. “You need clothes in Jiang colors.”
“What?” she said, calm and placid even though she felt the coals spark. She was an interloper here, too, and though Jiang Wanyin had given her plenty of leeway, she still knew she was living on his grace.
“I noticed yesterday, when we were out in the fields – you’re still wearing your old clothes. You should dress like Madam Jiang, like the Sect Leader’s wife, not some stranger visiting from out of town.”
That ignited the flame. “Will I be permitted to wear my old clothes at Lotus Pier at all?”
There was a crinkling between Jiang Wanyin’s eyebrows. “You can wear your family’s colors whenever you want,” he argued, bewildered, “but most of the time you will want to wear the colors of Yunmeng!”
“Will I? So you know what it is that I want? I thought I was not going to be that kind of wife to you.”
“Of course you’re my wife! What are you talking about? What does it matter that we aren’t involved in some ways? Are you not Madam Jiang?” he demanded of her.
She was, she was, and she despised that he was the one being right, being honest with the situation, and she was being foolish, a paper tiger battering uselessly against the thin walls of the beautiful, prosperous room she’d been fortunate enough to find herself in. The outrage roared up in her chest, but she crushed it down. “You’re right,” she said tightly, from the strain. “You’re right. Of course I will see the robemaker.”
He looked so unhappy at her answer, wounded and then enraged from the pain. He cast around, searching for something, helpless to find it. “Fine,” he spat at her, and he stormed away.
When he was gone, when she was entirely alone in the stillness of the porch, she slammed her fist down on their breakfast table, making every piece of porcelain clatter. It wasn’t as satisfying as smashing a cup would have been, but Lu Lian had much more control than that. She would never break something that belonged to someone else.
………
She had cooled off somewhat by the time the robemaker arrived, which mostly just meant her unfocused fury had subsided and there was nothing else to distract her from her shame for her behavior.
They convened in her personal rooms. Her personal attendant joined them, along with the robemaker’s two assistants. Jiang Wanyin was there as well. He did not look at her, instead glowering angrily at the robemaker. The robemaker looked nervously between them.
It was possible Lu Lian was glaring at him as well.
The robemaker addressed a point on the wall behind their heads. “What will I be making for Madam Jiang? How many pieces, and what sorts?”
Jiang Wanyin did not answer. Not even as the silence stretched.
Jiang Wanyin was not going to speak for her.
Lu Lian sighed, letting the heat fall out of her. “I am not yet familiar with the customs of Lotus Pier,” she said, “and I would like to wear my title with grace and dignity. Therefore, I will ask my husband to decide.” It was meant as an apology. Hopefully he would hear it like one.
He stared sideways at her for some moments longer. Then he began. “She will need a full wardrobe in Yunmeng style, befitting her title and station. Daily wear suitable for presiding over Lotus Pier, and formal items for visiting other sects. Enough that she can dress with comfortable variety, and she can commission more pieces later as she decides what she would like.” Clearly he had given the matter – her matter – some thought.
“Yes, Sect Leader. What colors would be appropriate?”
“What do you mean, what colors? Light purples and pinks, good pastels.”
Lu Lian frowned despite herself, and every eye in the room snapped to her.
The robemaker bobbed his head nervously. “Would Madam Jiang prefer different colors?”
“No,” she said immediately.
Jiang Wanyin was certainly looking at her now. Was scowling at her, in fact. “What, you won’t argue with me with servants present?”
The flame in Lu Lian woke at that challenge. On top of that, Jiang Wanyin did not seem to mind her arguing with him on this point – in fact it seemed he was asking her to, perhaps as some apology of his own – so she squared her shoulders at him and said, “I would not prefer pastels.”
“Why not? They’re nice colors for Jiang women.”
“Nevertheless, I would not want my entire wardrobe in them. They’re not to my taste.”
“They’re what my A-Jie wore,” Jiang Wanyin fired back, and by his face, he’d surprised even himself with it.
Lu Lian dampened the flames, just a bit, so she could be gentle when she said, “I am not your A-Jie.”
“I know that! I know that.” Jiang Wanyin clenched his teeth, and then he sighed, and then he said to the robemaker, “Never mind what I said before. Madam Jiang will have whatever colors she pleases.”
“Perhaps you would like a set in those colors for yourself,” Lu Lian suggested.
Jiang Wanyin huffed scornfully. But he answered with, “Perhaps so.”
“I will have one as well,” Lu Lian said quickly. “A set of pale robes. We will wear them together, so we will appear matched. Then, I liked the deep purple robe you wore the first day I arrived here. I would like one to match that as well, and for the rest … I would ask for similar colors. Dark and rich.”
“Yes, Madam Jiang, very well, good choices …” the robemaker was muttering, but Lu Lian was most focused on Jiang Wanyin, who was watching her just as she was watching him. He looked … satisfied, in an almost ferocious way. She didn’t know if it was agitation from the mention of his sister, or if he was pleased with the wardrobe she’d chosen for herself. Perhaps it was both. He jerked his head at her, a sharp nod, and she nodded back. The robemakers’ assistants asked her to please stand up so they could begin taking her measurements.
Jiang Wanyin swept out of the room, and for the first time Lu Lian felt like she might in fact be Madam Jiang.

NIGHTWISH Won't Tour In Support Of Next Studio Album
NIGHTWISH has announced plans to take a break from touring and will not hit the road in support of the band's next studio album.
Earlier today (Thursday, April 6),NIGHTWISH released the following statement via social media: "As the 'Human :ll: Nature - World Tour' is drawing to a close, we feel now is the time to tell you of our plans for the next phase in our journey.
Last September, Tuomas was asked if NIGHTWISH's upcoming LP will once again be an exploration of evolutionary science, as was the case with the previous two releases. Tuomas said: "Yes and no. It sails on the same waters, but there's some new surprises there as well."
Holopainen went on to say that NIGHTWISH fans will have to wait a while before hearing new music from the band. "We'll enter the studio next year and the album is gonna come out maybe early 2024," he said.
In August 2022, Tuomas told Rock Sverige that he spent "about a year" working on the music and lyrics for the next NIGHTWISH album.
Asked if he got any kind of inspiration from the pandemic, Tuomas said: "Yeah, lyrically there's a couple of things that reflects the pandemic, but not in the way you would expect."
"Human. :II: Nature." was released in April 2020. The follow-up to 2015's "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" was a double album containing nine tracks on the main CD and one long track, divided into eight chapters, on CD 2.
In August 2022, NIGHTWISH announced the addition of bassist Jukka Koskinen (WINTERSUN) as an official member of the band. Koskinen, who made his live debut with NIGHTWISH in May 2021 at the band's two interactive experiences, had spent the last year touring with NIGHTWISH as a session musician.
In November 2022, Floor revealed that she was "cancer free" after recently undergoing surgery to have a tumor removed following a breast cancer diagnosis.
Last month, Floor and SABATON drummer Hannes Van Dahl announced that they were expecting their second child. Jansen and Van Dahl already have a six-year-old daughter named Freja, who was born on March 15, 2017.

thats a really good idea! yuzuru working behind the scenes for fine. he also always exchange such colourful words (LOL) with ibara, it is interesting to see his facade change when encountering ibara. he has fought in a war before so he definitely has way more to him than it seems. this should be a very fun idea to explore! i feel like for trickstar or sora, all i can think of is mao sharing reader with ritsu, or perhaps it is just because idk much about them. but an unexpected yandere! that is my absolute favourite. i think people try to stay away from writing himeru too, since he is described as a ghost character and we don't know much about him. regardless, he is still one of my favourites. i love reading all your long replies please continue to ramble on.
Glad to hear that my long rambles are appreciated! I always approach asks with a certain idea of what I want to talk about but somehow as I´m typing things I just get new ideas that I absolutely want to include so somehow the longer it goes on, the more detailed I tend to get ksnfskyf Just compare what I wrote for trickstar and then for fine, lmao
Maaan every time I hear or see some of these interesting facts about characters like Yuzuru acting so different around Ibara I just realize that I still have so many stories to read to get to know other characters. I guess that´s what it´s like when you try to catch up with years of character development jflabfbla
But just imagine: Naturally in a situation like this, the most indimidating person would naturally be Eichi because of course he is, but then Yuzuru is actually the one doing all the heavy lifting behind the scenes, making sure you are properly cared for and making sure threaths are "properly cared for"
I could imagine Mao sharing with Ritsu, you´re right! I feel like Ritsu would be the initiator of that though. He´s the first one to get obsessed with darling and he also loves Mao and then he notices that Mao also loves darling and so he thinks of the perfect plan! He´s going to tell Mao about the fact that they both adore you and he then proposes the idea of the two of them sharing you.
I feel Mao might be a bit opposed to it at first, probably recognizing how crazy and wrong all of this is. But the more Ritsu speaks, the more he gets enamored with the idea of being with his two favorite people in the world. Help, Ritsu is corrupting Mao
For the others in Trickstar and Sora, I´ll have to take a closer look at them first and read more of their stories. they don´t seem capable of being yanderes and that´s probably also the reason that there´s no yandere content for them anywhere. I guess it could be interesting to think about later and be the first one to actually write it? Because there´s no like "accepted" interpretation out there that everyone kind of agreed on to an extent so you could probably go pretty wild with it if you wanted . Maybe one day I´ll get a sudden inspiration and start writing for it
I´ve only written for HiMERU once because he is such a mysterious character and I swear I was doubting my characterization of him the entire time jnflfb I think he also hides a lot about himself on purpose which makes it hard to try and read betweent he lines and get a proper grasp on him. I´ve read some crazy b stories ( hot limit, honey bee, night club) so I´d like to think I know some basics but man. why are you so difficult?? T.T
Especially that now apparently he´s like a completely different person or something? I think I heard something like that was revealed in a recent story but I really don´t know knefkabef
Much to think about! But it´s really fun for me to just ramble on like this for a bit ^^

SWRarePairs Letter below
Greetings Exalted One!
As you have probably gathered, I’m a huge Luke/Leia fan. I hope you are too, otherwise this might be a hard one for you to complete. I love them as a couple and view them as truly star-crossed lovers, so I hope you’re on board.
I did add a prompt along with each of my requests, so I won’t rehash those here. I mostly just wanted to write something to say thank you, and I guess to give a bit more perspective on what I love and want. I totally understand that this is all taken with a grain of salt. You can write your own interpretation of Luke and Leia and their relationship. But if you want to write the kind of Luke and Leia I love, then I’ll give you a little insight into my characterizations of them.
It’s my fanon that Luke and Leia were created by the Force in a similar way to Anakin. Not in the same way, but basically the Force was like “let’s take the Chosen One, give him twins, and have those twins give me even more powerful Force sensitive users.” So I’m all about Luke and Leia having kids together and it all being part of cosmic destiny. I love fics that explore this, from the struggle against the incest taboo, to the desires burning between them, to the utter submission to fate/destiny and the comfort of knowing it’s the right path they’re meant to be on.
Of course, adding other people to the pairing can complicate that and I requested several Luke/Leia + other people. I am happy with you combining things as you see fit. If you want to write romance between Luke/Leia/Han or Luke/Leia/Lando, for example, I am totally fine with it. I am happy for a situation like “Han and Leia love each other and get married as a way to help conceal the fact that Luke/Leia are also in love.” That scenario could work with any pairing for me. It is always my preference that any kids that Luke/Leia/+1 have are Luke’s and not the other partner’s, but you could also be non-specific if you want, or not include pregnancy or children.
A few more points: I don’t care for character bashing. In a story where Han isn’t involved romantically, I like him to merely have amicably broken up with Leia, or else it’s an AU where they were never involved. I don’t like him to be a huge source of angst for either of them. I don’t want him killed off and Leia grieving him. I don’t want him to be a huge abusive asshole, either. I just like him to be gone. If he is in the story, then I like him to be an equal partner to both Luke and Leia. I generally don’t care for Han/Leia, Luke/Leia where there is no Han/Luke, or where the two pairings are so separate neither knows about the other. I don’t want ANY solo Han/Leia whatsoever, please. (I am really really not into solo Han/Leia. I'm mostly fine with other combos like Luke/Din or Leia/Lando or something, but I'd rather it be Luke/Leia or an actual threesome with everyone participating.) I mean a little is fine, or if it starts one way and progresses with plot to something more, but I’d really prefer the focus be on Luke and Leia.
A few more points of my wants/DNWs: I don’t want any Legends/book stuff because I haven’t read them and don’t know them. I would prefer little to no references to the cartoons because I’m also unfamiliar with them, but I’m less picky about that so long as it can make sense if I haven’t seen them. I do not like The Last Jedi. I love a lot of the characters from the sequels, but I do not like TLJ/the sequel trilogy. You are welcome to AU it if you’re doing anything involving prequel characters, or whatever you want. I do not like Rey/Kylo, and would beg you not to put in anything that alludes to that pairing.
I want Luke and Leia to love each other. A little unrequited stuff is okay, but ideally they are both equally in love with each other by the end of your story. I am not into anything abusive or coercive or cruel. (Exceptions can be made for LL/Vader etc. as a means to put LL closer together. Or they can be resistant at first, but come around as they give in to their true feelings.)
I am not into characters giving or receiving oral sex. (I know that's weird. If you really want to write a blow job or cunnilingus as part of sex, that's fine, but generally I'd just skip it 100%.) I am not into women receiving anal sex, however, double penetration is an exception with threesomes. A dick in each hole is love, lol. I always prefer Luke to be in her vagina and the other guy in the back, but I don't super care. (Two dicks up front is also nice, if Leia can take it.) I am totally fine with male/male anal sex. I like Luke to top one-on-one, but I am 100% down for Luke inside Leia, with Han (or whoever) inside Luke, for example.
I really don't like first person fic. Just throwing that out there.
I love graphic, loving sex. I love the incest kink. I love the pregnancy kink and lactation. I love Leia having a lot of kids with Luke. I love Luke loving Leia. I love the idea of The Force Ships It. I love the idea of Han and other people shipping Luke and Leia. I love porn with plot, and I love plot with porn. I love plotty porn especially. I love tropes and I love taking tropes and spinning them on their head. I love clever AUs. (Though no “switched at birth, Leia raised on Tatooine, Luke on Alderaan, please; it's just too over done.) I love domestic fic, and kidfic. I love angst and drama. I love romance. I love it all. I really want more fic of Luke and Leia out there that breaks the mold; that isn’t a rehash of a story someone else has already told. So, I'd rather no “sex in the Ewok village” or quickees between the scenes. I’d rather an AU.
You also welcome to ignore the sequel trilogy entirely. Please feel free to write any AU you want post-RotJ (or post-The Mandalorian if you're writing Luke/Leia/Din).
Okay, I am rambling on way too much. Here’s a link to my AO3 account in case you want to read any of my writings. Feel free as well to send me any anon asks here if you want to ask me questions about anything. You won't ruin the surprise, I promise.
In the end, thank you SO MUCH for offering to write for me. I am sure I will love anything new you write for Luke/Leia. We live in a dry desert so anything new will be wonderful. Please don’t stress about it. If you have some other idea you want to explore with them, please do it. I'm giving you my ideas to help you, not hinder you. If you hate them all and have some Luke/Leia story inside you that is aching to be released, please write it!
Thank you!!

BEST GUESS : before taking the test for her, had very strong inkling that astrid’s myers briggs type would be infp — and guess what, i was right ! known as the mediator, infp’s are characterized as being sensitive, compassionate, and imaginative — sound familiar ?
THE RESULTS :
astrid’s an infp through and through . infp’s look for a hint of good in just about everything they do and everyone they meet — and though astrid might appear more pessimistic than as of late, she still ultimately carries the childlike belief that everyone is inherently good ( maybe that’s why she’s attracted to the people she’s attracted to . ) to many, infp’s can come across as calm, reserved, and shy — but they also have a strong drive, and immensely passionate heart that allows them to shine when they decide to put themselves out there . it often surprises people to learn that astrid dreams about becoming an actress, and is actually a very good one . but she’s a dreamer, and an incredibly hard worker, and ultimately has all the qualities she needs to shine .
decision making is difficult for infp’s, as mediators are guided primarily by their principles, rather than by logic, excitement, or practicality . that is, when making an important decision, astrid first looks to honour, beauty, morality, and virtue . she’s led by the purity of intent, not rewards and punishment . this is why she’ll ultimately decide to go through with the pregnancy, despite it being a deadly hinderance to her own personal future .
beyond this, mediator’s also have a knack for self - expression . i mean, i don’t know if you’ve noticed, but astrid cries a lot . and through her own self - expression and exploration, she, like many other mediators, have the ability to communicate deeply with others — and reach them in ways others cannot . infp’s are inherently empathetic, and desire to create harmony for the people around them .
if they’re not careful, mediators can easily lose themselves in their quest for what is good and right . often drifting into deep and philosophical thought, astrid finds herself easily getting distracted by abstract anxieties and situations . hypotheticals are her kryptonite, and they can ( and have ) caused her to withdraw from the world entirely . once she’s in them, it’s extremely difficult for her to return to reality .
STRENGTHS : idealistic, harmonious, open-minded, creative, passionate, hard-working, dedicated
WEAKNESSES : too idealistic, too altruistic, impractical, dislike dealing with data, overly sensitive, difficult to get to know
FAMOUS / FICTIONAL MEDIATORS : bjork, alicia keys, amelie poulain, sybil branson, william shakespeare, virginia woolf, vincent van gogh, joni mitchell, luna lovegood
