CRAZY PRICES At Car Auction! Dealers IN TROUBLE!
Car Dealers CAN'T SELL! Prices Are FALLING!
In this video you will get to see what car dealers are Actually paying for their cars and trucks! My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.
P.S. Good source of information about the used car market! However, it should be added that buyers of used high mileage ICE cars are sometimes quite naïve and expect more from their "new" cars than they can deliver. Modern ICE vehicle repair works are actually quite expensive and a "cheap" purchase ends up being very expensive...

Kyle came to pick you up. By now the two of you were buddies, with him treating you like a younger sibling. There are plenty of memes exchanged between the two of you, and you’ve tagged along with him on more than one occasion. He knows a lot about cars, and you’ve helped him work on a couple vehicles. Turns out he works at a small mechanic shop. Never overcharges people, or pulls fake expenses. Has a tendency to undercharge but sometimes gets something of equal value.
You get in the passenger seat and putting your bag in the backseat. You notice a few small things in the back. Kyle starts driving and you stretch in the seat.
“Seat belt.” He says and you put it on.
“Peach wine?” You ask. Kyle gives a half smile keeping his eyes on the road.
“She insisted on giving a whole case.” Kyle says. One of his customers was an older lady who made wine on the side. She couldn’t always cover the costs of her old run down vehicle getting repaired so Kyle settled for a bottle of her wine to cover the rest. “Gonna let Price try some and serve it at the pub.”
“Speaking of drinks, do the guys like ice tea with popping boba?” You ask.
“Don’t think so.”
“Woo!” You cheer. More for you! You sit back in your seat, watching out the window. The drive is a longer one than necessary. After some time, you notice a few landmarks out of place. You suspect someone is following you two, and Kyle is trying to get them to leave you both alone.
“Had a visitor.” You say, wanting to fill the quiet drive. “Milena Romanova.”
“The hell did she want?” Kyle says, checking his mirrors.
“Gave me an invitation to a gathering. Offered to show some of my work at open houses. Graves was there too but he got there before Milena.”
“He broke in?” Kyle asks. Graves sounded like a toxic ex.
“No, he has my spare key. He was there before I got there, I talked to Milena and then found out he was around.” You exclaim. It’s quiet in the car for a bit. The purring engine fills the silence as he mutters something checking behind him.
“I told him about the raid.” You say. If anyone would take it calmly, it was Kyle. The car feels even quieter, though. Telling Graves hadn’t been decided yet. Kyle is fidgeting a little with the wheel, staring forward. “I’m sor-“
“Don’t say sorry to me.” He says, and you can hear more in his voice. You've heard a similar tone when someone brought the wrong tires after they were late for their tire change. There’s a pause as he straightens in the seat and speeds up a little, making it through a yellow light before making a turn and then another. There’s a pause while you check the side mirror to see if anyone is still following. After a few minutes, you don’t recognize any of the vehicles that were behind you before the light.
“Price has issues with the police since Graves and what happened with Makarov. If he can avoid them he does, but right now, we need all the help we can get, and if Graves can give us the legal system we should be taking it.” Kyle says. He has a look of determination in his eyes. One you haven’t seen in him much, except for when you’d seen him go out with Price for “work” or defend someone in a fight. He glances at you while waiting at a red light.
“Graves tell you what to do?” He asks. You nod. Kyle nods as if he already knows the instructions himself. There’s another pause waiting for the light to turn green. He looks at you directly.
“Did you actually record the conversation?” Kyle asks.
“Yep.” You say smiling. “I don’t think she’s seen the work I did of her.”
Kyle is laughing as he steps on the gas, the light green now. “You should go to that gathering just to see the look on her face.”
“She’ll likely simmer down by then. Not sure if I want to go if Makarov is there.”
“He’s supposed to be there?” Kyle asks.
“Probably. I mean Milena came to my apartment and when she saw me, she tried to make the excuse that my unit was up for sale. I assume Makarov gave her my address. She even stood there waiting for me. Could've put it in my mailbox or slid it under the door. Clearly, they want me to know they can find me.”
“You don’t want to see him?” Kyle inquires, though the answer is fairly obvious. He doesn't blame you.
“I... I don't think I'm ready to face him yet. Not alone, with a crowd of people." You answer.
Kyle pulls into a parking spot not far from the safe house apartment. He carries the wine, while you haul your bag. You both walk in and find Laswell chatting with Price. You haven’t seen Laswell since meeting John Price for the first time. After putting your bag in your bedroom you come back out and make some tea. Kyle has the small crate on the kitchen counter and is getting a couple of glasses for Price and Laswell to try. You take your seat at the bar and notice a similar envelope to your own invitation.
“You got invited?” You wonder aloud. Laswell looks at you and then where you’re looking.
“You got one?” She asks. You hold it up and John’s expression changes with the lift of an eyebrow. Laswell’s eyes go to her laptop, where you see some stuff but you’re not sure what exactly it is. You don’t want to inquire either.
Kyle hands both Price and Laswell a glass of the wine. You look at Kyle and then look between the two others while they try the wine. Do you tell them about Graves? Kyle folds his arms, looks at the floor, and then back at you. He gives you a slight shrug as an answer. You can, but that “you can” is gonna be loaded.
“Graves told me to leave an anonymous tip about the raid.” You blurt out. Kyle looks away while Price and Laswell look at you. The two of them are old enough to be your parents but damn do they feel like it this moment. You look between trying to figure out whose face to settle on. You pick Laswell but she just shakes her head and returns to her laptop. Thanks, Laswell, now you’re stuck facing the giant bear that is Price. You look at him and his face says something but you don't know what it is. It’s like reading a book highlighted with a black sharpie.
“I can call him off, tell him not to.” You say, wanting to back out of the whole thing.
“Tell who?” Johnny asks coming out of the hall. When did he get here?
“Tell Graves not to be at the raid.” You blurt out again. Johnny was reaching for the fridge until he stopped and gave you the same expression as John. Seriously how did they do that? That is impressively coordinated. You try looking to Kyle, hoping he'll weigh in. Nope. Kyle is not even making eye contact with you just looking at the ground. There is tension and you hate it.
“I’ll tell him not to.” You say breaking eye contact with them and staring down at the counter top.
“Send the tip.” John says, biting back some annoyance. “At the very least Graves can keep the damage down and focus on Makarov’s men.”
You didn’t realize you were holding breath until Price finished talking. Johnny goes back to the fridge, letting the tension die out.
“This is home made?” Price asks Kyle who finally looks up from the floor as if he were never trying to hide from the conversation.
“Yeah.” Kyle says. You eye Soap while the two continue talking and he’s distracted. You both know the risks that could come, and the differing amount of trust you both have in Graves. Time would tell.
“If you’re going to that gathering, you probably shouldn’t go in ripped jeans and a hoodie.” Laswell comments the next day. She’d come back to the hideout fairly early. Thinking about it, you can’t recall her leaving, since you went to bed early. You woke up, got dressed and came out to find her remaking the pot of coffee.
“Not sure I want to go.” You reply checking to see what in the fridge was still edible. You find some left over chicken, but the stray could have that after feeding her kits. You find a protein bar, and settle, sitting up on the counter.
“Because of Makarov?” She asks. You shrug, but she’s right. You never met the man face to face but if he was enough to make everyone treat him like the plague you were hardly eager to shake his hand.
“Makarov is a smart man, he won’t do anything to you when you’re there.” She says.
“You don’t know that.” You counter, rubbing your arm. Laswell notices you tugging on your sleeve. She lets the coffee brew while standing in front of you. Laswell holds out her hand and you already know what she wants. You offer your wrist and pull the sleeve back showing the fairly nasty bruise. It is healing but hasn’t by much.
Kate looks up at you while you’re focused on the bruise. You’d been in gun fights before. Someone grabbing your wrist and squeezing until you bruised was an experience you had no interest in repeating. At least not like that. Nolan had found you again and grabbed at you. He tried dragging you to a car but your quick thinking to bite his wrist got him off. It left you with the taste of his blood in your mouth and an impression on your skin. You’d kept it to yourself though.
“What happened?” Kate asks. Her voice is calm, likely not the first time this has happened. She isn't demanding an answer. You tell her and she listens. No scolding or shaming you for not saying anything or not doing something more. You almost wish she would because at times you feel like a kid in this group. You expect her to say you did your best and it’s not your fault. Kate doesn’t though. Instead, she tugs the sleeve back down.
“Good work. You may not be able to get him arrested but he won’t forget the bite anytime soon.” She says. You smile, feeling a little proud of yourself.
“If you can do this, then I think you can handle Makarov. Especially since I’ll be there as with officer Alex.” Kate says.
“You think I should go?” You ask.
“You don’t have to, but if you want… it would give you a chance to see some very humorous reactions to your work,” Kate says taking a sip of newly poured coffee.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
July 6, 2023
HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
JUL 7, 2023
The payroll processing firm ADP said today that private sector jobs jumped by 497,000 in June, far higher than the Dow Jones consensus estimate predicted. The big gains were in leisure and hospitality, which added 232,000 new hires; construction with 97,000; and trade, transportation and utilities with 90,000. Annual pay rose at a rate of 6.4%. Most of the jobs came from companies with fewer than 50 employees.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which is a way to measure the stock market by aggregating certain stocks, dropped 372 points as the strong labor market made traders afraid that the Fed would raise interest rates again to cool the economy. Higher interest rates make borrowing more expensive, slowing investment.
Today, as the Washington Post’s climate reporter Scott Dance warned that the sudden surge of broken heat records around the globe is raising alarm among scientists, Bloomberg’s Cailley LaPara reported that the incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act for emerging technologies to address climate change have long-term as well as short-term benefits.
Dance noted that temperatures in the North Atlantic are already close to their typical annual peak although we are early in the season, sea ice levels around Antarctica are terribly low, and Monday was the Earth’s hottest day in at least 125,000 years and Tuesday was hotter. LaPara noted that while much attention has been paid to the short-term solar, EV, and wind industries in the U.S., emerging technologies for industries that can’t be electrified—technologies like sustainable aviation fuel, clean hydrogen, and direct air capture, which pulls carbon dioxide out of the air—offer huge potential to reduce emissions by 2030.
This news was the backdrop today as President Biden was in South Carolina to talk about Bidenomics. After touting the huge investments of both public and private capital that are bringing new businesses and repaired infrastructure to that state, Biden noted that analysts have said that the new laws Democrats have passed will do more for Republican-dominated states than for Democratic ones. “Well, that’s okay with me,” Biden said, “because we’re all Americans. Because my view is: Wherever the need is most, that’s the place we should be helping. And that’s what we’re doing. Because the way I look at it, the progress we’re making is good for all Americans, all of America.”
On Air Force One on the way to the event, deputy press secretary Andrew Bates began his remarks to the press: “President Biden promised that he would be a president for all Americans, regardless of where they live and regardless of whether they voted for him or not. He also promised to rebuild the middle class. The fact that Bidenomics has now galvanized over $500 billion in job-creating private sector investment is the newest testament to how seriously he takes fulfilling those promises.”
Bates listed all the economic accomplishments of the administration and then added: “the most powerful endorsement of Bidenomics is this: Every signature economic law this President has signed, congressional Republicans who voted “no” and attacked it on Fox News then went home to their district and hailed its benefits.” He noted that “Senator Lindsey Graham called the Inflation Reduction Act ‘a nightmare for South Carolina,’” then, “[j]ust two months later, he called BMW’s electric vehicles announcement ‘one of the most consequential announcements in the history of the state of South Carolina.’” “Representative Joe Wilson blasted the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law but later announced, ‘I welcome Scout Motors’ plans to invest $2 billion and create up to 4,000 jobs in South Carolina.’ Nancy Mace called Bidenomics legislation a…‘disaster,’ then welcomed a RAISE grant to Charleston.”
“[W]hat could speak to the effectiveness of Bidenomics more than these conversions?” Bates asked.
While Biden is trying to sell Americans on an economic vision for the future, the Republican leadership is doubling down on dislike of President Biden and the Democrats. Early on the morning of July 2, Trump, who remains the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, shared a meme of President Biden that included a flag reading: “F*CK BIDEN AND F*CK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM!” The next morning, in all caps, he railed against what he called “massive prosecutorial conduct” and “the weaponization of law enforcement,” asking: “Do the people of this once great nation even have a choice but to protest the potential doom of the United States of America??? 2024!!!”
Prosecutors have told U.S. district judge Aileen Cannon that they want to begin Trump’s trial on 37 federal charges for keeping and hiding classified national security documents, and as his legal trouble heats up, Trump appears to be calling for violence against Democrats. On June 29 he posted what he claimed was the address of former president Barack Obama, inspiring a man who had been at the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol to repost the address and to warn, “We got these losers surrounded! See you in hell,…Obama’s [sic].” Taylor Tarranto then headed there with firearms and ammunition, as well as a machete, in his van. Secret Service agents arrested him.
Indeed, those crossing the law for the former president are not faring well. More than 1,000 people have been arrested for their participation in the events of January 6, and those higher up the ladder are starting to feel the heat as well. Trump lawyer Lin Wood, who pushed Trump’s 2020 election lies, was permitted to “retire” his law license on Tuesday rather than be disbarred. Trump lawyer John Eastman is facing disbarment in California for trying to overturn the 2020 election with his “fake elector” scheme, a ploy whose legitimacy the Supreme Court rejected last week. And today, Trump aide Walt Nauta pleaded not guilty to federal charges of withholding documents and conspiring to obstruct justice for allegedly helping Trump hide the classified documents he had at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump Republicans—MAGA Republicans—are cementing their identity by fanning fears based on cultural issues, but it is becoming clear those are no longer as powerful as they used to be as the reality of Republican extremism becomes clear.
Yesterday the man who raped and impregnated a then-9-year-old Ohio girl was sentenced to at least 25 years in prison. Last year, after the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision recognizing the constitutional right to abortion, President Biden used her case to argue for the need for abortion access. Republican lawmakers, who had criminalized all abortions after 6 weeks, before most people know they’re pregnant, publicly doubted that the case was real (Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost told the Fox News Channel there was “not a damn scintilla of evidence” to support the story). Unable to receive an abortion in Ohio, the girl, who had since turned 10, had to travel to Indiana, where Dr. Caitlin Bernard performed the procedure.
Republican Indiana attorney general Todd Rokita complained—inaccurately—that Bernard had not reported child abuse and that she had violated privacy laws by talking to a reporter, although she did not identify the patient and her employer said she acted properly. Bernard was nonetheless reprimanded for her handling of privacy issues and fined by the Indiana licensing board. Her employer disagreed.
As Republican-dominated states have dramatically restricted abortion, they have fueled such a backlash that party members are either trying to avoid talking about it or are now replacing the phrase “national ban” with “national consensus” or “national standard,” although as feminist writer Jessica Valenti, who studies this language, notes, they still mean strict antiabortion measures. In the House, some newly-elected and swing-district Republicans have blocked abortion measures from coming to a vote out of concern they will lose their seats in 2024.
But it is not at all clear the issue will go away. Yesterday, those committed to protecting abortion rights in Ohio turned in 70% more signatures than they needed to get a measure amending the constitution to protect that access on the ballot this November. In August, though, antiabortion forces will use a special election to try to change the threshold for constitutional amendments, requiring 60% of voters rather than a majority.

Full disclosure: my partner has been an electric vehicle geek since the early 2000s, and very passionate about environmental and consumerism issues.
One of his first loves, as a teenager, was computer programming.
During the 1998 North American ice storm, while he was still just a student, they came to hire him to develop a system to quickly and effectively keep track of and distribute the relief money to the population.
Since then, he's made a career in programming, and spends a lot of his free time programming from home as a personal hobby of his.
So, when Tesla started making electric vehicles that were a crossover between an electric car and a computer (two of his passions / special interests), he naturally became highly enthusiastic about it!
And I slowly started to share his enthusiasm because I, too, am strongly against consumerism in general.
We will tend to repair home appliances and electronics for as long as we can (until you can no longer purchase repair parts), even when "buying a new one" would be cheaper.
I kept the same cell phone from 2001 to 2016, and I only changed it because the plastic on it was disintegrating and they were planning to stop supporting analog cellular services in our area.
So, what had me incredibly excited about the Tesla Model 3 back then (that was more expensive than any car I ever would have normally considered), was that it was designed to be constantly upgraded (for free, no less!) without needing to buy a new car to keep up with the new technology offered on the more recent models.
With our provincial and federal government subventions, the cheap price of electricity in Quebec, and everything we'd be saving on gas, we decided that the investment would be well worth it.
Back in 2016, we (sadly, very naively) saw Elon Musk as a visionary, an environmentalist, and someone with an interest in forcing the North American market (and the world at large) to slowly evolve towards developing more environmentally sustainable products and technologies.
People often compared him to Tony Stark back then, and we were sincerely fooled into thinking that he actually gave a damn about the future of this planet!
To be clear, we see electric cars as PART OF the solution to help tackle climate change, not THE solution to tackle climate change.
Holding various industries, and the wealthiest among us, more accountable for their pollution is obviously part of it.
And we also need to invest in more effective commuting infrastructures, densification (that allows for more services to be within shorter, often even walkable distance) combined with more affordable housing, etc.
There is plenty to be done to address environmental challenges in ways where it will become easier for individuals to make certain choices that will help reduce their own individual carbon footprint!
But, as long as people will continue to want to own personal cars, regardless of them actually needing to own one or not, we will also need to make sure that the cars that are offered on the market have the least negative impact on the environment as possible.
So, EVs aren't the one and only solution to the issue, but we firmly believe they remain a step in the right direction.
Sadly, there's an awful lot of misinformation about EVs. But they still remain a greener option than ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles in virtually every possible scenario.
It is especially true in Quebec, where 100% of our provincial electricity production is hydroelectric.
So, anyway, we were looking to acquire an EV at that time, and Tesla was the only company with an EV that was designed to regularly upgrade itself and improve to keep up with newer versions of their vehicles at no additional cost.
When we bought it, we thus made the firm decision to keep the car for as long as its body (essentially, the "casing" of our "computer-car") would hold, even if that was 50+ years!
My partner insisted on getting the full self driving (FSD) feature while it was still at its lowest price, because the whole idea of witnessing a computer system slowly learning how to drive, and being amongst those teaching it how to drive, was utterly fascinating to him.
Therefore, on March 31st, 2016, he spent over 3 hours waiting in the rain outside of the Tesla dealership in Montreal to be amongst the very first people making a reservation for the Tesla Model 3.
We received our car in September 2018, named him (yeah, we gave our car a gender, deal with it!) "Spirit", and he's sincerely been the best car I've ever driven (or been driven by) in my entire life! Especially in our harsh Canadian winters!
It really pains me to say that the product itself is astounding, and has even exceeded our expectations. Because I can't, in good conscience, exactly recommend it to anyone under the current political climate / leadership.
Since September 2018, we've watched Spirit evolve, learn, gain new features, and constantly improve in ways that have been utterly fascinating to experience!
But, since September 2018, we've also sadly had to watch Elon Musk evolve into the worst of what humanity has to offer, in ways that have been utterly terrifying to witness!
He's turned into an ultra rich, dangerous, self-obsessed fascist that's declared some sort of cowardly holy war on some of society's most vulnerable people, and that keeps on threatening everything we love, including fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the freaking environment (the thing we once believed he was looking to save), of all things!
And I have no word to express just how disgusted and sick I felt over that Nazi salute he did.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure the oil companies and many giants from the automotive industries that would rather be selling ICE vehicles than EVs have been backing up Trump's campaign and helping him finance it as well.
But they don't wield the level of influence over social media, nor have the freaking "cult following" that Elon Musk has!
Most CEOs will operate from the shadows to avoid alienating part of their clientele, but Elon apparently just doesn't care about hurting his company and its workers, or destroying the legacy of what they have built for/with Tesla.
It's like he just fell into the manosphere at some point, drank their Kool-Aid, and decided to become their champion while trying to fix "everything wrong with the world" according to their perception of it!
A few of our friends have sold their own Tesla for fear of being associated with the man.
And we are a bit at a loss trying to figure out how to handle the situation ourselves.
Hence why I'm writing this, because it feels like my brain is stuffed, about to freaking explode, and I can't quite think clearly!
I sort of need to get it out of my system, and maybe gather other people's thoughts on this.
First, the car has already been paid in full.
So, we can't "unbuy it" to reclaim the money that we already gave Elon Musk's company.
Of course, we could sell the car to get rid of the risk of accidentally being seen as an "Elon Musk supporter" while driving around (the reason why others have done it)...
...but then, we'd only be putting the car into someone else's hands, not removing it from circulation.
And, perhaps, accidentally rewarding an Elon Musk fan by making it possible for them to buy and own a Tesla that they might not have been able to afford at full price otherwise!
Like seriously, I can't fathom why anyone that doesn't already own a Tesla would want to buy themselves one when they know that they would be investing money into Musk's company and increasing his wealth, unless they really don't care about the political positions / actions of its CEO, and/or they agree with him.
So, selling it would basically just make an Elon Musk supporter happy!
And I'm not exactly into making any Elon Musk fan happy right now.
And, when we bought our car, since we were amongst the first people reserving it by putting a deposit on it 2 years in advance, there was a deal where Tesla would be the one paying for our internet subscription services to allow us to stream music, watch Netflix, YouTube, etc. in the car for free for as long as we remained the owners of the car.
Meaning that we are the ones costing Elon Musk's company money by listening to music and watching movies in our car.
Somehow, watching "Sense8" on Netflix in a Tesla knowing that Elon Musk / Tesla is paying for your internet connection symbolically hits a sweet spot.
That deal isn't transferable if we sell the car, either.
So, the company would just have one less internet subscription to continue paying for.
And, even if we could financially afford to destroy the car, totally remove it from the roads, and donate the battery to a company that recycles them, etc., the car itself is in perfect working condition, and throwing away something that works and will need to be replaced feels like we're once again displacing the issue and wasting resources.
Maybe we could put a sticker such as
Tumblr media
on it (source).
But then, my partner fears that we might get attacked by far-right Elon Musk fans/supporters, since they've been known for not exactly being kind to those opposing them.
So yeah, I'm just going crazy right now trying to figure out how to handle being stuck with a car that people tend to so strongly associate with Elon Musk!
It's like...
You buy a car in an effort to do your own personal part for the environment, reduce your own carbon footprint, and fight consumerism in the automotive industry...
Then, 7 years later, the CEO of the company that holds 13% of its shares makes his grand coming out as a Neo-Nazi / Neo-Nazi supporter!
Tumblr media
The situation feels a bit surreal, and nothing quite prepares you to mentally and intellectually deal with that!

A theory
People would be more enthusiastic about electric cars if they were more stupid technology.
And what I mean by this is: The approach to electric cars comes from a more Tech Futurist, Brave New World, "The tech singularity will evolve humanity!" mentality, not designed for the homesteading truck driver.
That's not going to attract Farmer Ned who needs a cheap, reliable way to bring lots of heavy, rambunctious loads from A to B and survive like a Toyota Hilux. That's not going to attract the 16-19 year old boys that want to have a sweet ride with a lot of power to show off their youth and potential and power on the road and ability to drive. That's not going to attract the diesel loving woman that likes the power and efficiency of the engine.
If you want to attract people to electric cars and get people more enthusiastic about them, you need to make the cars dumber. You need to make it so you can TOTALLY OWN the cars and not need a million software updates. You need to make it so some fellow named Bob can institute a clever repair of the mechanical parts with clever use of welding and a few ordered parts.
The mentality that people shouldn't be able to OWN their own vehicles as property has to die, if you want people to drive electric cars. The end user needs to be able to just get in, turn the key and drive with as few digital computer bits as an I.C.E. from the 1967.
But that's not the direction Brave New Worlders want people to go. They aren't trying to sell a car, they're trying to shoehorn people down a path they may not necessarily want to go. Where the software makers dictate and gatekeep on if your car runs or not, it can be shut off externally via a signal, or the data accessed without your awareness or permission.
The first people to be able to make Absolutely Dumb electric cars that just run with the torque and energy efficiency of a standard EV but have all the personal privacy and private ownership of a classic automobile, will make a mint.
Electric vehicles do not need a lot of potentially carcinogenic lubricants and oils in the engine because magnetic fields and electricity do most of the driving for them. They don't need expensive chemical fuels, even if electricity expenses may grow as more people use them. They don't need expensive catalytic converters with rare metals, because they don't produce noxious fumes out the exhaust pipe. They can be stripped down powerhouses.
You just need batteries or capacitors big enough to store the charge that'd give you as much work as a tank of gasoline or diesel. And that's it. Outside that, it's all brake pads and non-ICE engine stuff. Maybe some electronics for luxury.
Design an electric car for the stiff who has to buy a cheap A-to-B vehicle and doesn't NEED stuff like self-warming seats, that's just a powerful body so they can pick up and move shit and not spend a fortune repairing and replacing things, or maintenance and repair is so easy that the mechanics can get in, switch out parts, get out, and get people on their way. ICE engines are very complex and complicated, electric motors are nowhere near as complicated or should be that expensive.
But the Brave New World people don't WANT this sort of availability, they want it too expensive for the poor layman to afford, because they don't like the idea people can just get up and move thousands of pounds of vehicle and belongings so easily.

Auto Dent Repair - Hail Dent Pro
Can car dents be removed?
Yes, car dents can often be removed. The method used for dent removal depends on factors such as the size and location of the dent, as well as the type of material the car panel is made of. Here are some common methods for car dent removal:
Tumblr media
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR): This is a popular method for small to medium-sized dents where the paint is undamaged. PDR involves using specialized tools to massage the dent from behind the panel, restoring the metal to its original shape without the need for repainting.
Dent Pulling: For larger dents or those without access to the backside of the panel, a technique called dent pulling can be used. This involves attaching a device to the exterior of the car that pulls the dent out. After pulling, some refinishing may be necessary.
Heat and Cold Method: This method involves using a hairdryer or a heat gun to heat the area around the dent and then using a can of compressed air (or dry ice) to rapidly cool it. The sudden change in temperature can cause the metal to contract and pop the dent back into place.
Body Filler and Repainting: For more extensive damage or dents with chipped or damaged paint, body filler can be used to fill in the dent, followed by sanding and repainting to match the car's original finish.
Professional Repair Services: If you're not comfortable attempting the repair yourself, or if the dent is severe, it's advisable to seek the services of a professional auto body shop. They have the expertise and equipment to assess the damage and choose the most appropriate repair method.
Keep in mind that the success of dent removal depends on the specific characteristics of the dent and the skill of the person performing the repair. In some cases, especially with deep or complex dents, it may be challenging to achieve a perfect result without some visible traces of the damage.
How much does car dent repair cost Texas?
The cost of car dent repair in Texas, as in any other location, can vary based on several factors, including the size and location of the dent, the repair method used, the make and model of the vehicle, and the specific rates of the auto body shop you choose. Additionally, labor rates and the overall cost of living can influence prices in different regions of Texas.
To get an accurate estimate for car dent repair in Texas, you should contact local auto body shops directly. They can assess the damage to your vehicle and provide you with a detailed estimate based on their rates and the required repair methods.
It's worth noting that prices for car dent repair can vary significantly between different shops, so it's advisable to obtain multiple quotes to ensure you're getting a fair and competitive price. Additionally, if the dent was caused by an event covered by your insurance policy, you may want to check with your insurance provider to understand the extent of your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket expenses.
Keep in mind that the information provided here is general, and specific prices can only be determined through direct communication with local auto body shops in Texas.

I've done it, and I'd do it again to avoid flying.
The *idea* of flying is great. The execution is terrible, and the slide began long before the cliff in 2001.
What we need is reliable, regular passenger rail for continental travel. There's no reason to shoot a bunch of folks into the sky in Boeing's latest tin can when there's no ocean to cross.
Airline and highway subsidies combine with railroad taxes and environmental regulations to make it difficult.
For example, they keep ramping up emissions regulations. After the last jump, both major manufacturers sold their locomotive divisions. The effect is not "several thousand train engines are now more efficient" it is "locomotives are more expensive and less reliable, so customers have to ship by road."
Poorly thought out regulations prop up massive pollution elsewhere, because even an inefficient train is several times more efficient than a truck, and doesn't contribute to highway wear and congestion. Only a few hundred locomotives are produced each year, so regulating them isn't a silver bullet.
Since I'm on a roll, lots of vehicle environmental regulations have foreseeable consequences that are ignored for political points: Push new technology too hard and generate the waste of functional cars being scrapped. Go the other way with poorly considered grandfather provisions and people will keep repairing vehicles that should be melted down. Mandate electric and run up against the cases where ICE is better. Subsidize any company with a green powerpoint and feed scammers who destroy the planet and the technology's reputation.

How Regular Garage Maintenance Can Save You Money
When it comes to home upkeep, garages often get overlooked. We tend to use our garages for storage, parking our cars, or just tossing things we don’t need inside, but the reality is that taking the time to maintain your garage regularly can save you significant money in the long run. Here’s how:
1. Prevent Expensive Repairs
One of the key benefits of regular garage maintenance is the prevention of costly repairs. Just like with your home’s plumbing or HVAC system, garages have components that can wear down over time, such as the garage door, the opener, and even the structure itself.
A squeaky door or slow-moving opener might seem minor now, but these issues can develop into bigger, more expensive problems. For example, a misaligned garage door might eventually cause the motor to burn out, or a damaged spring could lead to a complete breakdown. By addressing small issues early, you prevent the need for costly emergency repairs or even replacements.
2. Protect Your Vehicles
Your garage is meant to protect your vehicles, but if the structure is compromised, you could be putting your car at risk. Cracked walls, leaks in the roof, or even a malfunctioning door can expose your car to the elements. Rain, snow, and ice can cause damage to your car’s paint or interior, leading to expensive repairs or replacements.
Regular maintenance ensures that your garage is in tip-top shape to shelter your car, preventing the wear and tear that could cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in repairs. Plus, a well-maintained garage helps maintain the overall value of your car by keeping it protected from external elements.
3. Save Energy and Reduce Utility Bills
Believe it or not, regular garage maintenance can help you save on your energy bills. If your garage isn’t properly insulated, the temperature can fluctuate significantly. This can affect the temperature inside your home, especially if you have an attached garage. A poorly sealed garage door, for example, might allow cold air to seep in during winter or let in hot air during the summer, forcing your HVAC system to work overtime.
Regular maintenance can include sealing any gaps in the garage door, insulating the walls, and ensuring that the garage door operates efficiently. This reduces drafts and helps maintain a more consistent temperature in your home, leading to lower energy costs.
4. Keep Your Garage Safe
A neglected garage can become a safety hazard. Whether it’s a broken light, a door that doesn’t close properly, or clutter in the way, these issues can pose serious risks. A garage with poor lighting can increase the chances of accidents, like tripping over boxes or tools. A malfunctioning garage door can get stuck and cause injuries, or worse, damage your car or property.
By performing regular inspections and repairs, you keep your garage safe for everyone in your household. Safety isn’t something you should skimp on, and a little time spent maintaining your garage can prevent accidents that would otherwise result in costly hospital bills or insurance claims.
5. Boost Your Home’s Value
An overlooked garage can detract from your home’s overall value. Potential homebuyers often look at the condition of the garage as an indicator of how well the house has been maintained. A clean, organized, and well-functioning garage adds curb appeal and could even increase the resale value of your home.
If you ever plan to sell your home, investing in garage maintenance now can yield a higher return down the line. Buyers are more likely to pay a premium for a home with a well-maintained garage that provides them with the peace of mind that it’s not going to need costly repairs anytime soon.
6. Extend the Lifespan of Your Garage
Just like with any other part of your home, regular maintenance extends the life of your garage. A door with worn-out springs, for example, will eventually fail. But with proper care, such as lubrication and adjusting the springs periodically, you can ensure that your garage door lasts much longer, saving you the cost of replacing it prematurely.

Top Benefits of Purchasing an Extended Warranty for Your Electric Car
As the automotive world witnesses a quickening shift toward electric vehicles (EVs), more drivers are enjoying the benefits of cleaner, quieter, and more efficient transportation. However, much like the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric cars also have a unique set of maintenance and repair needs. One of the best ways to ensure peace of mind and protect your investment is by purchasing extended electric car warranty coverage. In this blog, we'll explore the top benefits of securing an electric car extended warranty.
1. Comprehensive Coverage Beyond the Manufacturer's Warranty
Most electric vehicles come with a manufacturer's warranty that covers a specific duration or mileage. However, once this warranty expires, repair costs can become a significant financial burden. With an extended warranty, your electric car receives coverage beyond the original warranty period, safeguarding you against unexpected repair expenses.
2. Protection Against High Repair Costs
Electric vehicles employ advanced technology and specialized components, such as the battery, electric motor, and intricate electronic systems. Repairing or replacing these parts can be costly. These costs are provided for by the electric car's extended warranty, allowing you to enjoy your EV without worrying about high repair bills.
3. Battery Coverage
The battery is one of the most critical and expensive components of an electric vehicle. While most manufacturers offer a separate warranty for the battery, an electric car extended warranty provides additional coverage once the original battery warranty expires. This added protection is particularly valuable, given the high cost of battery replacements.
4. Peace of Mind
Owning an electric vehicle is a forward-thinking choice, but it also comes with uncertainties, especially as EV technology continues to evolve. An electric car extended warranty ensures your peace of mind by giving you a safety net against unforeseen mechanical and electrical issues. This gives you the confidence to drive without worrying about potential problems.
5. Increased Resale Value
An electric car extended warranty can enhance the resale value of your EV. Prospective buyers are generally more inclined to purchase a used EV that has extended warranty coverage, as it assures them that the vehicle has been well-maintained and will provide added protection. This can make your car more attractive in the used car market and you could potentially get a higher resale price.
6. Access to Authorized Repair Centers
Electric car extended warranty providers often partner with reputed car repair centers that specialize in electric vehicles. This means that your EV will be serviced by technicians who are trained and experienced in handling electric cars. Access to specialized repair centers ensures that your vehicle receives the best possible care.
7. Roadside Assistance and Additional Perks
Many electric car extended warranties come with additional perks, such as roadside assistance, towing services, and rental car coverage. These benefits can be invaluable in case of a breakdown or emergency, providing you with added convenience and support when you need it most.
8. Customizable Plans
Electric car extended warranty providers typically offer customizable plans that allow you to choose the level of coverage that best suits your needs and budget. Whether you want comprehensive coverage for all major components or a more basic plan for specific parts, you can tailor the warranty to match your preferences.
9. Long-Term Cost Savings
While purchasing an electric car extended warranty involves an upfront cost, it can bring in significant long-term savings. By covering the cost of timely repairs and replacements, an electric car extended warranty keeps your EV performing efficiently and helps you avoid out-of-pocket expenses that can add up over time. This makes it a cost-effective investment in the long run.
Investing in an electric car extended warranty is a commendable decision that is extremely beneficial in the long run. From protecting your EV against high repair costs to ensuring peace of mind and enhancing resale value, an electric car extended warranty ensures you can enjoy the advantages of owning an EV without the stress of unexpected expenses.

The Role of Snow Removal in Accident Prevention and Maintaining Accessibility
Heavy snowfall and slippery conditions in winter create potentially hazardous situations on private and commercial lands. One way to address the hazards is by snow removal. The importance of timely and efficient snow removal in Burnaby cannot be overstated. It plays a key role in preventing accidents and ensuring accessibility for everyone. Let us explore Dhillon Bros Paving Ltd’s snow removal services' crucial role in maintaining safety and accessibility throughout winter.
Tumblr media
Preventing Slips and Falls Snow and ice can soon pile up along sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. If not well cleared, they become slippery surfaces that are potentially hazardous. Professional snow removal services in Burnaby help reduce the risk associated with the event. A well-placed, timely, and adequate de-icing material will make a walkable surface. Snow removal from residential driveways or commercial walkways ensures safety for everyone.
Keeping Safe Road Conditions
Snow and ice are always dangerous for drivers. Because roads are slippery, accidents may occur and wreck vehicles, which poses a serious threat to people driving in high-traffic areas. With proper snow removal in Burnaby, roads, driveways, and parking lots are cleared and salted to prevent vehicles from skidding and getting stuck.
In Burnaby, it will be necessary to execute timely snow clearing so that road safety is guaranteed. Professional services at snow clearing include not only the removal of snow but also helping clear driving pathways through salting on the surface; this inhibits the accumulation of ice and, therefore, guarantees traction to a vehicle as the vehicle makes the journey safer.
Accessibility It is not just about removing snow off roads and driveways but also about making way for the disabled, including the elderly, when there are just a few inches of snow or ice on the ground. For those individuals who have disabilities or are senior citizens, it might become challenging to access their properties, or worse, it can become hazardous. The inability to navigate through these places may be accompanied by a feeling of loneliness or even injuries.
Professional snow removal services in Burnaby ensure these areas are available to all members of society. It allows persons with mobility concerns to safely walk about as pathways are clear of snow and ice. Accessibility is significant, particularly in public buildings, hospitals, schools, and other establishments that must function throughout the year.
Avoid Property Damage Snow accumulation on driveways, walkways, and roofs can also cause property damage. For instance, heavy melting caused by snow can crack pavements, especially when they pile up again upon freezing. If too much snow and ice accumulate, further damage may occur, making repair work expensive. This is why surfaces have to be cleared of snow.
Further, standing water from melting snow contributes to seepage into buildings, possibly damaging their foundations and walls. It also contributes to risks in case one regularly removes the snow. Properties remain safe and are in good condition at the end of the winter season.
Preserving the Visual Attractions of Your Property
A property's visual appeal, whether a residential home or a business, is also essential. Snow-covered driveways and walkways can look unkempt and neglected, which may affect the overall impression of your property. A well-maintained property, free of snow and ice, adds aesthetic value and creates a welcoming environment.
For those looking to ensure that their properties remain safe and accessible during the winter season, Dhillon Bros Paving Ltd. offers expert snow removal services in Burnaby.
With their professional team, your property can be cleared of snow quickly and efficiently, keeping everyone safe and your property accessible.

JUNK Ford Ecosport 1.0L 3-Cylinder Ecoboost Teardown. How Do You Avoid This Failure?
Check out our website at www.Importapart.com or email us at [email protected] for parts and part inquiries. I've been tearing down engines on camera for 2 and a half years! Search my channel to see what I've torn down. You have been asking and FINALLY! I found one of these little nuggets of combustion. A 1.0L, turbocharged, direct injected 3 cylinder Ecoboost from a Ford Ecosport. This is a pretty unique engine in design as there aren't a lot of 3 cylinder offerings in the US, and I think its the first domestic branded 3 cylinder since the Geo Metro of the 90's. This 1000cc powerhouse puts down 123hp and is available in the front wheel drive Ecosport and Ford Focus, although they are available in more cars for different markets. This particular core engine is thought to have around 70-80k miles on it which is very premature for an engine failure on a modern car. I tear this engine all the way down to try to figure out what happened, and why it failed. Why on earth am I doing these teardowns? I own and run a full service auto salvage business in the Saint Louis area called Importapart. Part of our model is buying blown, core and unwanted engines and dismantling them to resell the good, usable parts. We do not rebuild engines, we merely supply parts to those who do. I really hope you enjoyed this teardown. As always, I love all of the comments, feedback, and even the criticism. Catch you on the next one!
P.S. These engines are good only as long as you drive through the gates of the dealership and you have warranty. This internal combustion engine is one of the reasons why Ford is not doing well in the European car market...! Yes, while the engine is new, the car drives quite normally with it, but as soon as the miles accumulate, it breaks and problems are appearing much too early. In fact, these fossil fuel engines die much faster than electric car batteries...

Why Timely Concrete Driveway Repair is Crucial for Protecting Your Investment
Your concrete driveway is more than just a functional aspect of your property—it's a significant investment that enhances the curb appeal and value of your home. Like any other part of your property, your driveway requires maintenance to ensure its longevity and functionality. The Importance of Timely Concrete Driveway Repair cannot be overstated, as neglecting minor issues can lead to costly and extensive damage down the line. We'll discuss why timely repairs are essential for protecting your investment and how a professional Concrete Driveway Contractor in Manitoba can help ensure the durability of your driveway.
The Hidden Costs of Delayed Concrete Driveway Repairs
At first glance, small cracks or uneven areas in your concrete driveway might seem like minor issues that can be addressed later. However, neglecting these problems can lead to bigger, more expensive repairs down the road. Concrete is a durable material, but it is not impervious to wear and tear. Exposure to elements like moisture, temperature fluctuations, and heavy traffic can cause your driveway to degrade over time.
When damage is left unchecked, water can seep into cracks and expand, particularly during freeze-thaw cycles common in Manitoba winters. This causes the cracks to widen and potentially lead to further damage, such as large potholes or even structural failure. The longer you wait to address the issue, the more expensive and invasive the repairs can become. Timely concrete driveway repair can prevent these problems from escalating, saving you money and avoiding the need for a complete replacement.
Preventing Further Damage and Safety Hazards
One of the main reasons for timely concrete driveway repair is to prevent further damage and maintain safety. Cracks, uneven surfaces, and potholes can create significant hazards for both vehicles and pedestrians. A damaged driveway can cause accidents, leading to slips, trips, and falls, or even damage to vehicles.
In Manitoba, where snow and ice are prevalent in winter months, a deteriorating driveway becomes even more hazardous. Ice can accumulate in cracks, making the surface slippery and increasing the likelihood of accidents. By addressing driveway issues early, you can prevent these safety risks and ensure that your driveway remains safe to use year-round.
Enhancing the Aesthetic Appeal of Your Property
Your driveway plays a significant role in your home's overall appearance. Cracked or uneven concrete can make even the most beautiful home look unkempt and uninviting. Concrete Driveway Repair Services can restore your driveway to its original condition, improving the aesthetic appeal of your property.
A well-maintained driveway adds curb appeal, which is especially important if you plan on selling your home. Buyers are often put off by visible signs of damage, such as cracks and sunken areas. In contrast, a smooth, well-maintained driveway can increase your home's value and attract more prospective buyers. By addressing driveway damage promptly, you not only protect your investment but also enhance the overall value of your property.
The Benefits of Hiring a Professional Concrete Driveway Contractor in Manitoba
While it might be tempting to attempt DIY repairs, hiring a professional Concrete Driveway Contractor in Manitoba is the best way to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality repair. Professionals have the necessary experience, tools, and expertise to assess the extent of the damage and implement the most effective repair solutions. They can also identify underlying issues, such as poor drainage or soil erosion, that may be contributing to the damage and address them before they become more serious problems.
A reputable contractor will use high-quality materials and the latest repair techniques, such as polyurethane foam injection or concrete resurfacing, to ensure that your driveway is restored to its optimal condition. Moreover, working with a professional contractor ensures that the job is done correctly the first time, saving you from the hassle and expense of rework.
Long-Term Savings and Peace of Mind
Timely concrete driveway repairs may seem like an added expense, but they can actually save you money in the long run. By addressing minor issues early, you prevent them from escalating into major repairs or full driveway replacements. This means fewer out-of-pocket expenses and less disruption to your daily life.
Additionally, many professional Concrete Driveway Repair Services offer warranties on their work, giving you peace of mind that your investment is protected. A well-maintained driveway can last for many years, ensuring that you get the most out of your investment without the need for frequent repairs.
Conclusion
The Importance of Timely Concrete Driveway Repair cannot be emphasized enough when it comes to preserving the value, safety, and aesthetic appeal of your property. Whether you're dealing with small cracks or larger structural issues, addressing the damage early can prevent more serious problems and save you money in the long run. A professional Concrete Driveway Contractor in Manitoba can provide the expertise and tools necessary to restore your driveway to its best condition. Don't wait for minor issues to become major repairs—act now to protect your investment and enjoy the benefits of a safe, beautiful, and durable driveway for years to come.

Is It Safe To Do Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) In Winter?
Why Winter Is Ideal for Paintless Dent Repair in Dallas, TX: Expert Insights From Silver Lining Collision
Dallas, TX — As winter settles in, many car owners in Dallas, TX, may find themselves facing dents caused by ice, hail, and other harsh conditions. For those looking for an efficient and cost-effective way to restore their vehicle’s appearance, paintless dent repair (PDR) offers an excellent solution. Silver Lining Collision in Dallas, TX, is here to help you understand why winter is the best time for paintless dent repair and how it can benefit your vehicle.
Tumblr media
What Is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is an innovative technique for removing minor dents, dings, and creases from a vehicle’s exterior without the need for repainting. Skilled technicians use specialized tools to gently push the dent from the inside out, preserving the car’s original paintwork. This method is ideal for shallow dents caused by minor collisions, hailstorms, or other impacts.
Why Winter Is the Best Time for PDR
Cold temperatures during winter months can make car dents more noticeable, as metal tends to contract in colder weather, revealing previously unnoticed imperfections. This is an ideal time for paintless dent repair, as the metal’s response to cold allows technicians to apply PDR with greater accuracy.
Many car owners may also be hesitant to undergo traditional dent repairs due to concerns over potential paint matching or longer wait times. Paintless dent repair minimizes these concerns, making it a convenient and efficient winter repair solution. Silver Lining Collision offers fast, reliable car dent repair in Dallas, ensuring that your vehicle is restored to its pre-damaged condition in no time.
Common Winter Dent Scenarios
During winter, there are several common situations where dent repair becomes necessary:
Hail Damage – Winter storms in Dallas can bring hail that leaves small to medium-sized dents on your vehicle. Paintless dent repair is perfect for fixing these types of dents without the need for extensive bodywork.
Parking Lot Dings—Crowded parking lots during the holiday season increase the chances of getting a door ding. Dent repair in Dallas, TX, is the best way to fix these small impacts, which would otherwise cost more to repair with traditional methods.
Frozen Door Dents—When doors freeze and are forced open, they can suffer dents or dings. PDR can be a simple solution to these common winter issues.
Advantages of Choosing Paintless Dent Repair in Dallas
Winter is an ideal time for paintless dent repair (PDR) due to reduced UV exposure, which helps protect your vehicle's paint. The cooler temperatures of winter create a stable environment for repairs, preventing the metal from becoming too malleable as it would in summer heat. This allows for more accurate and efficient dent restoration. Winter conditions, like moisture and salt, can contribute to rust and corrosion if left unchecked. However, PDR itself does not directly prevent rust or corrosion. PDR is a method for removing dents without repainting, and while promptly addressing dents can help avoid further cosmetic damage, rust prevention generally requires additional steps, such as proper washing and undercoating.
The other benefits of paintless dent repair are:
Cost-Effective: PDR is less expensive than traditional body shop repairs because there is no need to repaint or replace panels.
Faster Repairs: Most car dent repair Dallas jobs can be completed in hours, making it an excellent choice for people who need their vehicles repaired quickly.
Retain the Original Paint: One of the biggest benefits of PDR is that it maintains your car’s original factory finish. There’s no risk of mismatched paint or damage to the factory coating.
Environmentally Friendly: Since PDR doesn’t involve the use of toxic chemicals or paints, it’s a more eco-friendly option compared to traditional repair methods.
For paintless dent repair in Dallas, Silver Lining Collision is a trusted provider that guarantees high-quality repairs done efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily schedule.
Myths About Paintless Dent Repair
Despite its growing popularity, there are several misconceptions surrounding paintless dent repair:
PDR Can Only Fix Small Dents: While PDR is best suited for minor dents, it can also repair larger dents as long as the paint is not compromised.
It’s Only for New Cars: PDR can be used on vehicles of all ages, as long as the dent is accessible and the paint hasn’t cracked or chipped.
It’s a Temporary Fix: When performed by a skilled technician, dent repair in Dallas, TX, using PDR, is a permanent solution that restores the car’s appearance without future issues.
PDR Is Ineffective In Cold Weather: Cold weather actually enhances paintless dent repair. The cooler temperatures make the metal more malleable, ensuring efficient repairs while preventing paint damage. The controlled indoor facilities at Silver Lining Collision guarantee precise results.
How to Prepare Your Car for Winter PDR
If you’re considering dent repair in Dallas during winter, there are a few things you can do to ensure the best results:
Inspect Your Vehicle: Before the cold weather sets in, check for any dents that might be worsened by freezing temperatures. It’s best to address small dents before they become bigger issues.
Keep Your Car Clean: Dirt and debris on the vehicle can interfere with the PDR process, so make sure your car is clean before bringing it in for repairs.
Protect Your Vehicle from Winter Elements: Using a car cover during hailstorms or icy weather can prevent new dents from forming and save you time and money in repairs.

When it comes to auto repair, finding a shop that not only offers expert services but also delivers them with care and precision is key. Whether it's a routine oil change or a more complex engine repair, you want a team you can trust with your car. In Milwaukee, where unpredictable weather and rough roads can take a toll on your vehicle, quality auto repair is more important than ever. Here's a detailed look at our step-by-step process for ensuring that your car gets the best service possible.
Tumblr media
Why Quality Auto Repair Matters in Milwaukee
Milwaukee is known for its harsh winters, which means your vehicle has to endure freezing temperatures, snow, ice, and salt. All of this can lead to corrosion, wear and tear on your brakes, and decreased engine efficiency. But it’s not just the winter; driving on rough, pothole-ridden roads can cause significant damage to your suspension, tires, and exhaust systems.
With so much at stake, it's essential to have an auto repair service you can trust to handle your vehicle’s needs—whether it's routine maintenance or a major repair. That's where our step-by-step process comes in. By following a comprehensive approach to every service we offer, we ensure that your car is repaired correctly and will continue to run smoothly on Milwaukee’s challenging roads.
Understanding Our Process
Our goal is to provide the best auto repair experience in Milwaukee. We take pride in our step-by-step process, which guarantees that every repair is completed with precision and care. Here’s how we approach every job.
Step 1: Initial Consultation and Inspection
The first step in our process is always to listen to you, the customer. We start by discussing any issues you're experiencing with your vehicle. Whether your brakes feel off, your check engine light is on, or you’ve noticed strange noises, we want to know everything. It’s essential to fully understand the symptoms so we can pinpoint the problem accurately.
After gathering all the information, our mechanics perform a thorough inspection of your vehicle. This inspection includes looking at the engine, transmission, brakes, tires, exhaust system, and suspension. We check everything to identify potential issues, not just the ones you mentioned, so that we don’t miss anything that could affect your car’s performance.
Step 2: Accurate Diagnostics with Advanced Tools
Once we’ve conducted our initial inspection, it’s time to dive into more precise diagnostics. Using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, we perform a detailed analysis of your car’s electronic systems and mechanical components. These tools help us identify hidden problems that may not be immediately visible during the inspection. For example, with modern cars relying heavily on sensors, our diagnostic equipment can detect issues in the engine control unit (ECU) or alert us to potential failures in electrical components.
This step ensures that we are not guessing about what’s wrong with your vehicle—we’re making informed decisions based on real-time data. With these diagnostics, we can accurately pinpoint the root cause of any problem, ensuring that we don’t waste time or resources fixing the wrong issue.
Step 3: Transparent Pricing and Estimates
We understand how frustrating unexpected repair costs can be. That’s why, after diagnosing the problem, we provide you with a transparent, no-surprise estimate for the cost of repairs. We break down all parts and labor involved, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. If there are any options for less expensive alternatives, we will let you know.
We believe in complete honesty and communication at every stage of the repair process. You’ll never have to worry about hidden fees or unexpected charges when you choose us for your auto repair needs.
Step 4: Expert Repair and Service
Once we’ve received your approval, our skilled mechanics get to work. With years of experience and specialized training, our team handles all kinds of auto repairs, from brake services to engine repairs. We use only high-quality parts and follow industry standards to ensure that the repair is done right.
Whether it's replacing a part, fixing a system, or performing a complete overhaul, we take the time to do the job thoroughly. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t rush the process. Your vehicle deserves the best care, and we’re here to provide it.
Step 5: Quality Assurance and Final Inspection
After the repair work is complete, we don’t just hand your car back and say “good to go.” We conduct a final inspection to ensure everything is working perfectly. We test drive your vehicle to make sure it’s running smoothly and check all systems to confirm that they’re functioning as they should. If any minor adjustments are needed, we make them before handing the car back to you.
We also ensure that your car meets all safety standards and is fully roadworthy. This extra step gives you peace of mind knowing that your vehicle has been thoroughly checked and repaired to the highest standards.
Why Choose Us for Auto Repair in Milwaukee
You might be wondering, “Why should I choose your shop for my auto repair needs?” Great question! Here are a few reasons why we stand out from the competition:

TCO for Electric Fleets: SpendEdge’s Guide to Evaluating Total Costs
As the automotive and transportation industry embraces the shift toward electric vehicles (EVs), businesses with fleet operations face new financial considerations. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for electric fleets has become a critical factor in the decision-making process, encompassing both the initial costs and long-term financial implications. Transitioning to electric vehicles offers environmental benefits, but it is crucial to understand the full financial picture to make informed choices that align with business objectives.
In this guide, we will delve into the components of TCO for electric fleets, discuss the cost drivers, and explore how businesses can assess and manage the total cost of ownership in their electric fleet transition. SpendEdge provides valuable insights that help fleet operators optimize their strategy and reduce costs in the long run.
What Is Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)?
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is a comprehensive metric used to evaluate all expenses associated with owning and operating a vehicle over its entire lifecycle. For electric fleets, this calculation takes into account not only the upfront purchase price but also ongoing costs such as maintenance, charging, and energy usage. Compared to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, EVs offer a different cost structure that requires fleet operators to reassess their financial strategies.
Fleet operators need to account for both direct costs, such as purchase and maintenance, and indirect costs, including infrastructure and energy consumption. Understanding the full scope of TCO is essential for making the right decisions regarding fleet management.
Key Elements of TCO for Electric Fleets
The following are the major components of TCO that businesses need to consider when adopting electric fleets. Each of these elements contributes to the overall financial impact and should be assessed carefully to develop a realistic financial plan for the transition.
Purchase Price While electric vehicles are typically more expensive upfront than traditional vehicles, the price difference is narrowing. The overall TCO benefits from the reduction in operating and maintenance costs, making EVs an attractive long-term investment. Fleet operators should evaluate how the initial purchase price balances with long-term savings.
Charging Infrastructure The installation of charging infrastructure is a key consideration in managing the TCO of an electric fleet. Fleet operators must assess the costs of setting up charging stations and the availability of public or private charging networks. The cost of building and maintaining a robust charging network can have a significant impact on the overall TCO.
Energy and Fuel Costs Electric vehicles are more energy-efficient than ICE vehicles, leading to lower fuel costs. However, the cost of electricity can vary by location, and fleet operators must account for factors like time-of-day charging to optimize energy costs. Effective energy management strategies can help reduce the total cost of owning an electric fleet.
Maintenance and Repairs Electric vehicles require less maintenance than traditional vehicles due to fewer moving parts and the absence of components like the internal combustion engine. However, EVs require specialized care for parts like the battery, and fleet operators should consider the long-term cost of potential repairs or replacements.
Depreciation The depreciation rate for electric vehicles has improved over time, thanks to better technology and stronger demand for used EVs. Fleet operators should take depreciation into account when evaluating the TCO, as this affects the vehicle’s residual value and long-term cost.
Incentives and Rebates Governments provide various incentives, such as tax credits and rebates, to encourage businesses to adopt electric vehicles. These financial incentives can help offset the higher initial purchase costs and reduce the overall TCO. Fleet operators must stay informed about available incentives to make the most of these opportunities.
Long-Term Financial Gains of Electric Fleets
Despite the initial higher costs, electric fleets offer substantial long-term financial advantages. Lower fuel and maintenance costs, combined with sustainability incentives, make the total cost of ownership for EVs increasingly attractive over time. The switch to electric vehicles also supports sustainability initiatives, enhancing brand reputation and compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Challenges in TCO Management
While the advantages of electric fleets are clear, managing TCO effectively requires addressing challenges such as battery replacement costs, the need for reliable charging infrastructure, and securing financing options. Fleet operators must carefully evaluate these challenges as part of their TCO assessment to avoid unforeseen expenses.
The Road Ahead for Electric Fleets
With advancements in technology and expanding charging infrastructure, the future of electric fleets is looking increasingly viable. Falling costs and improved energy management are making EV adoption more financially attractive for fleet operators. By conducting thorough TCO assessments, businesses can make well-informed decisions that optimize their financial and operational outcomes.
In conclusion, adopting electric fleets is a smart financial strategy that provides long-term savings, operational efficiency, and environmental benefits. Understanding and managing the TCO is key to successfully transitioning to an electric fleet, and with SpendEdge’s expert analysis, fleet operators can optimize their strategy for cost savings and sustainability.

Why RV Rental Insurance is a Must for Your Next Adventure
Ah, road trips. There’s something undeniably magical about cruising down an open highway, the sun peeking over rolling hills, and your favorite playlist blasting through the speakers. If you’re planning your next big adventure, chances are you’ve considered renting an RV. After all, it’s a home on wheels—freedom, convenience, and adventure rolled into one. But before you hit the road, there’s one thing you absolutely can’t overlook: RV rental insurance. Yup, it’s not the most glamorous part of planning your trip, but trust me, it’s a non-negotiable. Let me explain why.
Tumblr media
The Risks You Probably Haven’t Thought About
Imagine this: you’re pulling into a picturesque campground by the lake, and in the process of backing up, you accidentally ding a nearby parked car. Or, worse yet, you encounter an unexpected patch of black ice on a winding mountain road. Accidents happen, and when you’re driving a 10,000-pound vehicle that isn’t yours, the stakes are much higher.
RV rental insurance is designed to cover those “what if” moments. Damage to the RV? Covered. Liability if you accidentally cause harm to someone else’s property? Covered. Medical expenses in the event of an accident? You guessed it—covered. Without it, you could be on the hook for thousands, if not tens of thousands, of dollars in damages. And that’s not exactly the kind of story you want to bring back from your vacation, is it?
What Does RV Rental Insurance Typically Cover?
Let’s break it down:
Collision Coverage: If you damage the RV in an accident, this covers the cost of repairs or replacement. Considering how expensive RVs are, this is an absolute must.
Liability Coverage: This protects you if you’re held responsible for injuring someone or damaging their property. And trust me, RVs are big, clunky, and not exactly easy to maneuver—liability coverage is a lifesaver.
Comprehensive Coverage: This is for those unexpected “acts of God” moments—think hailstorms, falling trees, or theft while you’re parked at a rest stop.
Personal Belongings Protection: Because let’s face it, your gear isn’t cheap. Whether it’s your camera equipment, laptop, or hiking gear, this coverage helps replace your stuff if it gets damaged or stolen.
Roadside Assistance: Picture this: you’re in the middle of nowhere, and your RV breaks down. Roadside assistance gets you back on track without added stress.
Of course, policies vary, and it’s important to read the fine print. Some providers even offer add-ons like vacation liability (for mishaps at your campsite) or pet injury coverage.
Why Your Credit Card’s Rental Coverage Won’t Cut It
You might be thinking, “But wait, doesn’t my credit card already offer rental insurance?” Sure, but here’s the catch: most credit card policies only apply to standard car rentals, not RVs. Even if they do cover RVs, their policies are often limited and may exclude critical coverage areas like liability or personal belongings. Relying solely on your credit card for RV insurance is a gamble—and not the kind of risk you want to take when you’re 500 miles away from home.
Peace of Mind is Priceless
The best part of having RV rental insurance? Peace of mind. You can focus on what really matters—soaking in those epic views, roasting marshmallows by the fire, and making unforgettable memories with your crew. Knowing that you’re financially protected frees you to enjoy your trip without that little voice in the back of your head whispering, “What if?”
Why Choose Pandora Insurance for RV Rental Coverage?
When it comes to RV rental insurance, not all providers are created equal. That’s where Pandora Insurance comes in. They specialize in flexible, affordable policies tailored specifically for RV renters.
