I love that if you scroll back far enough in the #ExodusCry tag there’s a bunch of what’s clearly PR posts about human trafficking and how awful it is, and then all the recent stuff is, “….yeah, all of that was just a front for their evangelical anti-porn bullshit.”

It’s a good lesson, though, about how extremist groups can make themselves seem like good people with good causes.

Hi ummm so this isn’t exactly my usual care free content, but it’s very important to me so I just wanna talk about it for a minute

Did you know that while Pornhub claims to support and donate to the BLM movement, they promote videos with titles like “N***** slave pleases white master” “exploited teens” “black slaves” and so so so much worse?

Pornhub does nothing to verify consent or legal age on any video posted to their site. The company and the abusers, rapists, and traffickers who post on the site make millions of dollars off of their videos every year.

Pornhub promotes racism, rape, sexual assault, child sex trafficking, anti-semitism, and gross gender inequality.

They need to be shut down and held accountable for endorsing these vile behaviors and for profiting off of the modern day slave industry.

Trump has been pulled off of every social media platform. Parler is likely coming down, or at least losing its hosting for now. Social media all over is cracking down on talks of violence and promotion of radical things like neo-nazism and white supremacy. But, before all of these things happened, despite the massive outcry for it for ages, something else happened first, with only a few people asking for it; the social media giants came for sex workers. Most of the people calling for their removal are the same far right groups that are coming down now, at last. So are sex workers the same as domestic terrorists? In the middle of a pandemic, not only have facebook, Instagram, and twitter to a degree, pushed sex workers out. There was even a bill proposed to congress recently, by a far-right religious group called ExodusCry, that would have effectively gotten rid of internet-based sex work. It was supported by a lot of conservatives, and a lot of liberals, too. In the end it was thrown out because it had a few conflicts with the first amendment, not because anyone cared about the livelihood of tens of thousands of people.

So I guess my biggest question is why are the social media giants so slow to quiet violent extremism and so quick to quiet sex workers?

Love your blog! I think it is so great to have things like violent porn being called out! But have you ever thought about founding some kind of online community to legally work against porn. The best one I've found is Fight The New Drug and I've been very disapointed with their lack of boot-on-the-ground work, and their (in my opinion) to liberal stance on porn.

I'd love to find a community working on this problem much more strictly.

The group ExodusCry has a branch called TraffickingHub which addresses more legal issues. I’m not sure if they actually do any law stuff though! CultureReframed might have some lawyers on its board but the closest thing I could think of is lawyers who fight against revenge porn. I agree though, it would be amazing to have a group of lawyers and private detectives who donate some of their time helping victims of porn. Do any of my followers know of anyone?
