Chanyeol wanders to the water and watches the moon slide across the surface. Crows cackle in the trees, upset into flight by a brisk wind that bends the branches and sends leaves wheeling into the air. They rise high and whirl back around, in a loop, dashing across the water right at Chanyeol.

He turns his back to the onslaught.

A tenseness in his shoulders betrays his anxiety. He feels as though he’s being watched. The subsequent stillness is unexpected and almost unsettling. Nothing makes any noise; the crows are silent or gone. Even the whirling lightning bugs are absent.

When he lowers his arm, he sees Jongin. The moonlight softens him, removing the tension of his endless daily tasks. Wordlessly, he steps into Chanyeol’s space and raises his arms to lie over Chanyeol’s shoulders. Fingers card through his hair, and he leans with the gentle guidance.

Their kiss is scorching, turning the moon red with lust. Chanyeol draws Jongin to him, leaving open-mouthed kisses on any exposed flesh. He could write poetry, sonnets, essays, odes, and songs about Jongin, but art is meant to be shared.

And Chanyeol’s feeling very selfish.

reread: dust to flowers by bbaegi (subaek, 99k) damaged goods, the fic. lavishly indulgent slice of life, with a plot that could be summed up in two sentences, and i love it for that. neighbours to lovers is one of my most favourite tropes, and isolated, depressed junmyeon who goes from struggling with everything, from helplessness, feeling adrift—and watching, listening to the same happening to his neighbour baekhyun—to somewhat grounded and tethered and hopeful, he's everything. being with him all the way, tracing his every thought and gesture is a gift if you like fic so slow it's like watching clouds on a windless day. junmyeon in this loves wholeheartedly, if at times helplessly, and this fic is an ode to the imperfect. (romance aside: bffs xiuho will always have a special place in my heart; as evident by one particular scene i screenshotted both during my first and second read without realising.) if i was mouse presented with a big baguette, i imagine this is what eating your way through it would feel like. and: never has smoking been this romantic.

First ever published: you're the prize (i wish i'd won) EXO, kyungsoo/jongin lord almighty, it's almost been six years! how surreal is that. yeah, i had this idea for an enemies to lovers fic while watching parks and recreation. i dont know. it was one of those things that just absolutely compelled me. it's kaisoo bc i was reading a lot of kaisoo before jumping into the fandom. i look back on this one fondly, but i dont think i'm confident enough to reread it. might hurt my feelings lmao

Last fic published: i aim to be your eyes EXO, sehun/junmyeon my fuckin baby!!! still ongoing. probably will finish sometime in 2024. well. Crossing my fingers anyway. it's long and silly, but i love writing it. once i start reading over some part of it, i immediately feel like i need to add more to it. i love writing all the little characters and reading how people think things will end up. i still have yet to decide on the ending, but who knows, maybe i'll sopranos it.

Fic that you wrote for a fandom/ship only once: the million roads that lead to you MDZS, lan zhan/wei ying wrote this before even watching the live action. definitely not sure how it holds up. will almost certainly never write another fic for this fandom, but it was fun to write regardless!

Favorite fic you wrote in a fandom/ship that has the most works: in the blood haikyuu, keishin/ittetsu had no idea that haikyuu had more fics than any of my other fandoms. so it goes. it was interesting to see that nct has surpassed exo too. cwazy daisies. anyway, i love this fic, i think its kinda my masterpiece for haikyuu. i sometimes want to return to this pairing, but the lack of engagement sours my mood abt it a bit. i love writing it, but i feel like the more i shove it in people's faces, the less likely they are to read lol

Fic you wish more people read: lawyers, guns, and money EXO, sehun/baekhyun i thought this was a great little fic (she says, looking at the novel length word count) and i was really shocked that it didnt get more love. i mean, its fun, it's spacey, it's found family. i still really like a lot of the passages, i think they're very pretty. maybe i'll reread it myself since NO ONE ELSE WILL!

Fic you agonized over the most: chronos-826 EXO, sehun/junmyeon i can hardly remember the way this fest was run, but lord, i remember being irked. like there was noooo communication if you weren't on the discord, and i was like jeez, i know it said you could join but i didnt know it would be MANDATORY if you wanted information about the event lol. but yeah. despite all that, i really enjoyed writing this. and by enjoyed, i mean went insane. literally i felt like i was going crazy throughout the majority of it, and while the finished product is a lot different from what i had envisioned (something more along the lines of House of Leaves with that element of interactivity.... sigh) im still proud of what i managed to produce

Fic that sprang fully formed from your mind without any effort: pilgrimage EXO, sehun/baekhyun yeah this fic was just so weird and like. Fantastical. it felt like it was dropped from god's hands into my brain. like i sat there and wrote the first 10k almost in a Flow state, didn't touch it for months, and then just banged out the rest like it was nothing. i doubt anything will ever come so easily to me ever again, but yeah. what a time to be alive!

Work you are proud of—for whatever reason: i write to you from the road and the red king's consort BOTW/TOTK, sidon/link i just think these are some really nice examples of my writing. idk. like i think they accomplish what they seek to accomplish, i think they're stylish and pretty, i think they have a lot of earned emotional weight to them. Just some nice fics by me imo. anyway. that's it.

MINI REVIEW [Alerta de Spoilers ⚠️]

Se  no FDD anterior eu indiquei uma fic com os royals couple do EXO, hoje eu trouxe uma non-royal! 

Oi gente, como vocês estão? O post está um dia atrasado, mas veio aí.  A fic de hoje é o equilíbrio de fofura e putaria, do jeito que a sereia fanfiqueira aqui gosta. 

Anos-Luz foi escrita para o fest Softyeol (Vocês ainda verão muitas fics desse fest aqui no blog),a história gira em torno de Chanyeol e seu amorzinho webgalático, Kyungsoo — o carinha com tentáculos. 

Gostei muito da dinâmica de match/supernova que eles deram e como são fofos e safados ao mesmo tempo.  Chanyeol não aguenta mais a curiosidade e precisa ver a todo custo o  jr  do seu webnamorado, principalmente após descobrir que são tentáculos... o problema é que eles estão a quase 600 anos-luz de distância e Kyung ainda faz mistério para mostrar. (O motivo é revelado na fic, vocês vão amar)

Para quem curte os kaibaek (Jongin e Baekhyun), eles trazem um suporte amistoso e cômico para essa fic. Gostasse? Leiam que a putaria e os beijinhos doces são garantidos.

This page will really be for me to get back into writing, develop my writing and indulge myself. I’m open to requests though but ask people to definitely contextualize your Bias (person you’re requesting for—yes I’m gonna use K-pop lingo oh well) and/or the scenario cause otherwise I’d simply write for myself. Which is why I also am making this page because I’ve been on tumblr for 10 years (my main account turned ten this year) and I’m worn out of the smut fest no prose or story fics. Definitely has its place in the community but the older I get the more I need actual full blown delusion. I need scene, setting, set up, climax, denouement…and so I’ll fulfill the order myself. 🫡

*im gonna add that for Anime/Manga the double dipping means some combination of me knowing the material in both forms of media. Like Jujutsu Kaizen is an amazing example currently as of course the anime is ongoing but the manga is far ahead by a large portion of plot. So if your anime only, manga only, or something be sure to let me know so I’m not spoiling by accident. Don’t want the smut to spoil a character death or something….right? 😅

**the long story short and overall caveat of why I’ve fallen out of love for groups and K-pop are the fact that yeah as a Black person I genuinely started getting pissed off with colorism, n-word usage, appropriation, and mockery. The shit gets old and as a poor old super fan I’m happy I didn’t spend the money people do for folks who would literally refuse my hand…🫤 be fr. Likewise, the deaths of idols who were literally my biases really (of course) bothered me and took a toll on my enjoyment of the genre too. The more you love it the more you learn and that’s usually where the fun ends and now it’s numbers charts and placements. Lame 😭. I let the time I was fan be that but otherwise ? Eh I’m good I’ll bop from time to time and catch the tea but my bread in my pocket (besides my B1A4 What’s Happening and Twice Scientist albums😂)((and the other old albums I’ll get before they disappear forever or get destroyed🫠))

I tried to do the very first mh fest, wrote 60k of a fic which to this day I still haven't published, realized it would have to be at least 200k, and gave up.

I've done a lot of fic fests in the exo fandom though. I did baeconandeggs for chanbaek twice, three times? Four? Many times idk. And then I've written for fests/exchanges for chenhun, xiuhun, chinguline (chenbaek), a christmas event for which i wrote baeksoo, a k*islay event like six thousand years ago for which i wrote a very nice fairytale style fic that asshole k*is definitely did not deserve. And I also wrote wonhui as a pinch hitter for a seventeen exchange.

I used to love doing events but my last chanbaek event literally drained me, and I left the fandom after it because I couldn't do it anymore. I haven't done anything like that ever since, except that time I tried for markhyuck and failed.
