Hi there’s a scenario I’d like to request jushiro being jealous bc ppl are always trying to flirt or get with his lover so he kinda gets overprotective and possessive of her
Aw I love this :)
Eyes follow you all around the Soul Society, enchanted by your beauty and the way you carry yourself. Jushiro couldn't help, but notice. He's always by your side, watching as men fawn over you and practically drool from the mouth.
Those days his grip on you is even tighter or his sharp glare meets the man's eyes who's are steady on your figure. The days when the men try to flirt with you is when you can finally see just how jealous Jushiro really gets.
The two of you are walking in the Soul Society, side by side. Your eyes are steady on Jushiro as a man starts walking up to you.
"I just have to say, you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen in my life," the man speaks and you turn your head towards him.
"Thank you," you mumble out, smiling kindly. Jushiro glances down at you then the man. Sometimes, he wishes you weren't so kind to others.
"It just baffles me how your skin glistens in the sunlight," the man continues to speak, reaching out his hand. Jushiro swiftly steps in front of you and smacks the man's hand down.
The smack rings throughout your eardrums and your eyes widen.
"Excuse me, sir. Do not put your hands on my partner," Jushiro speaks calmly, but his eyes are dark. Your eyes rake up and down Jushiro's back and the man nods his head.
"I'll be on my way then," the man clears his throat, quickly rushing off and disappearing around the corner. Jushiro slowly turns around and faces you, a soft expression across his face.
"Are you okay, my love?" Jushiro asks, reaching up and cupping your face. The warmth of his hands melts into your cheeks and you gaze up at him so lovingly.
"Yes. What you did was..." your voice trails off and Jushiro's breath hitches in his throat.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have hit him, but I couldn't watch him trying to touch you," Jushiro bows his head with shame. The corners of your lips curl up into a smile and you lift your hands up, pressing them against his.
"What you did was so romantic," you comment and Jushiro lifts his head up, eyes wide as they meet yours.
"You think that was romantic?" Jushiro asks, stepping closer to you and closing the distance. As he sways forward, his cologne hits your nostrils and you feel your entire body relaxes.
"I think it was very sweet of you, Jushiro. I kind of like it," you speak softly and Jushiro rests his forehead against yours, grinning proudly.
"I just want everyone to know that you're mine."

My favourite line from "At all costs" in other languages as requested by a dear anon ☺️🙌🏻
I've mentioned before that Magnifico (how I see it) does speak german, spanish and irish gaelic next to english ofc.
I added russian as an extra for dear @inanelemon - Since you suggested the idea with the russian dubbing exchange ✨️ this is for you 💝 also, big thanks for the help with the lyrics!
Here comes the heartmelt! 🫠❤️🔥 I've said before that I fell in love with Mags the moment I first saw his face on screen, but when he started singing I was sold.
English is understood by the majority and it's beauty is undebatable. Of course I kept it as comparison 🩵
Now, I love my mother tongue dearly! Truly! It's soft, it's heartfelt, it's tender! Everytime I hear someone joke about how aggressive german sounds, I'm like, huh? It depends on how you speak! Every language can sound harsh if you want it to sound harsh.
Anyway ... the EU spanish one might easily be my favourite! I'm madly in love with the spanish one. Ugh 😩👌🏼❤️ Something in the way each word is sung just goes straight into my heart. The tiny whiny note for the word "lealtad" holy moly!
Russian got me because of the lyrics meaning!
Lastly, the english translation to each vers.
European spanish
(Pleaseee!!! The heartfelt love here!!!! My arms are your home! Oof 😩 )
Prometer lealtad - promise loyalty
Voy a cuidaros siempre sin dudar - I'll always take care of you without hesitation
Son mis brazos vuestro hogar - My arms are your home
Voy a cuidaros siempre - I'll always take care of you
sin dudar, sin dudar - without hesitation
German
Ich bin für euch da - I'm there for you
Ich werd' euch beschützen, was auch kommt - I will protect you, come what may
Halt' euch fest in meinem Arm - hold you tight in my arm
Ich werd' euch beschützen, was auch kommt - I will protect you, come what may.
Russian
( I was literally baffled at how romantic this is! Light of my love? Excuse you sir!!! Behind the walls of the fortress I will keep you to save you! Yessir!!! ❤️🔥 Tell me that man is husband goals without telling me he is husband goals! )
Svet moyey lyubvi - Light of my love
Ya, ya sokhranyu vas, chtob spasti - I, I will keep you to save you
Za stenami kreposti - Behind the walls of the fortress
Ya, ya sokhranyu vas, chtob spasti,
Chtob spasti - I, I will keep you to save you,
To save
~
Might not be the last dub thing 🤔

When Andre met Nikki [canon scene]
Andre came in to the main lobby with determination. He was going to get to the bottom of this. The lobby was decorated with beautiful white furniture and plants, instrumental music played, and there were women of different ages lounging on their phones. He saw the reception desk on the other side of the room and one woman working the printer behind the desk, her back turned to him.
He marched through the jungle of decor and relaxed women though some looked baffled to see a man here.
"Hey. Excuse me," Andre said with a strong tone, but when Nikki turned to see him, all the strength he had melted. His knees felt weak, he felt breathless like he was punched in the gut.
She stared at him for a few moments, her eyes looking at his. Andre's eyes wandered everywhere, enticed with every curl of her long hair and curve of her body. Her rouge, glossy lips parted to ask a question, but Andre pleaded quickly, "Can you please tell me your name?"
Andre's mind raced about her beauty. How can someone have so much of it? Where has she been all his life? She had to be The One!
Before Nikki could respond to any of Andre's theatrical reactions to her, Jeremy's voice called out to her from the elevator. The two looked over at him. The older man sauntered over, a bright smug grin on his face. "Is he bothering you, sweet pea?"
"Uhm, I don't think so," Nikki said. It wasn't new for a man to confess feelings for her but this would occur after a few dates, she never seen this man before. She was racking her brain to think if she did. He had a beautiful deep skin tone with red wild hair. His dark jeans and shirt made him look like a regular, rough city guy but he had been adoring her since they locked eyes. Like a puppy, she thought.
"What's your business here, kid?" Jeremy asked and towered over Andre. He kept his smug grin.
"I just came in to look at this place. I've never been here before," Andre frowned.
"It's obvious you've never been here. The demographic here is mostly women. A little heaven on earth, if you will. I do have ask you to leave."
"And what for? What did I do?" Andre shouted, pissed off. Nikki gasped. Was he yelling at Jeremy?
"I'm the VP and frankly, I just don't want you here. So you can leave on your own or I'll get security to throw you out. Exactly like in the movies, too."
Andre exhaled slowly, glaring at the taller man. His freckles were stupid and so were his eyes. "Fine," Andre bitterly said, but a fuse went off in his head anyway. None of his friends or family were here to stop him. So fuck it.
He swung at Jeremy and walked off.
"You little worm!" Jeremy muffled as his hands covered his bleeding nose. The women all gasped and huddled for protection. Andre ignored the fearful gazes and left the building. That would teach that VP to think twice.
"You okay?" Nikki asked Jeremy, giving him tissues from her desk.
"Yeah," Jeremy answered and looked at her harshly, "If he comes back again, you call me. Got it?"
"Yes, sir."

Dodging a Bullet
Pairing: Toji x Reader
Home Series: Reincarnation of Toji, Y/N...and some troubles.
Genre: Angst with happy ending
Warnings: mentions of cheating, explicit smut
MDNI.
They met again in another life. They met her again in another life.
Will history repeat itself?
"Excuse me, but what's your name?" Toji asked as curiosity took over him, lowering his glasses a bit to get a good look at the person standing in front of him.
They hired many new employees last week, and now a hot chick is standing before him.
And it's not Y/N, by the way.
"I'm Hana, Sir." The lady smiled charmingly, looking at him directly in the eyes. Long legs, fair skin, bright eyes, and auburn locks. Definitely eye-catching, Toji thought, sitting up straight from his seat.
"Oh, you must be one of the new employees. Thought I haven't seen you around." He nodded while taking the papers from the woman's hands, scanning her face.
It's normal, Toji thought, glancing up over his glasses to the waiting-woman in front of him. Her fingers are intertwined in front of her. The office attire makes her curves stand out, and her—
Toji remembered his girlfriend, Y/N.
She's now officially his girlfriend. He shouldn't be checking other girls out like this. No matter how appealing they may be. His girlfriend is already beautiful. There's no need to gawk at these other women. He thought, or more like reminded himself.
Toji's never been in a serious relationship before, so having someone as his 'official' girlfriend is still a new feeling to him. A serious relationship is an unfamiliar terrain, a territory he crossed just for Y/N. And no matter how foreign this thing is to him, he knows that loyalty and trust are a must.
But the woman is pretty. It's only normal to be attracted to them. Just because he got attracted doesn't mean he doesn't love his girlfriend. Hana is simply...eye-catching.
Toji reasoned internally, convincing himself that what he was doing was simply natural. It's natural to be intrigued by pretty things...right?
It's not like he's thinking of cheating on his girlfriend. The thought of it made his eyebrows furrow and his guts churn.
"Alright, these are fine. Please, tell them to send me a soft copy of this and the report they made last month. I need it." He spoke as kindly as possible despite the annoyance he felt with himself.
"Okay, sir, thank you." The lady bowed slightly before continuing as she smiled sweetly at him,
"Please, do tell me if you have more requests, Sir. It is my duty to oblige."
Okay, that's a bit weird. Toji was baffled as he looked down at the other papers, his eyes slightly widening.
Why would she say that? It's not like she's my secretary? He thought before arguing with himself.
Maybe she's just being polite.
"Ah, there's nothing more as of the moment. If I need something, I'd just ask my secretary so you can focus on your work. Thank you." He said quickly as if he was trying to outrun his mind from saying 'yes' to the pretty woman in front of him.
Hana smiled again, batting her lashes at him very, very lightly, enough for it to go unnoticed. Her boss is hot. How could she not try to impress? She turned to leave as gracefully as she could, seductively swaying her hips to emphasize her curves.
"Uh, Actually," Bingo. Toji called out just as she had reached the door.
"There's uhm...uh, something you can fetch on your way out. Can you bring it to me?" Hana smiled, knowing that she'd get another chance to come back and make a move.
She looked back at him, and he was now standing up. He's built like a God.
"Can you fetch me the blue folder, three rooms from here? It's on top of the table." He requested, making gestures with his hands to show her the direction.
She can see his biceps flex, and damn, she should probably do more than just strut around the building.
"Sure, Sir. Of course." She said, tucking her hair behind her ear, trying hard to make it look natural and habitual.
Toji nodded once at her with a small smile as he sat back down. As she was about to turn around, the door opened, revealing a woman, also in office attire. She stared at her before smiling, which she gladly returned.
What pissed Hana off was how she walked casually inside, heading straight to Toji with a small 'Hey.'
Just..who is this girl?
Hana's irritation was further fueled when she saw Toji stand up, a smile gracing his handsome features, and it was definitely a different type of smile than the one he gave her earlier.
"I got my paperwork done earlier than I expected." The girl spoke softly, glancing at Hana as she stood beside his table, not coming closer to Toji.
He's got a girlfriend? She suspected but was not quite sure. Maybe that's a close friend or a trusted person in the company?
"Hana, we're heading out right now. You can just place it here after you fetch it. Thanks."
He's now walking to get his coat from the rack, and Hana can't do anything but nod and let out a small 'Yes, sir.' Her eyes secretively follow his hand as it rests on the small of the girl's back.
She had ruined my first day already.
She thought as she turned around to walk out the door, rolling her eyes slightly. She felt like her plans of getting closer to her boss have already crumbled. However, Hana is a woman who understands her strengths and knows how to put them to use.
Even married couples fall apart...
She thought as she entered the room her boss told her about. The frown on her face slightly straightened up at her thoughts.
----------------------------------------------
"I've never seen that lady before," Y/N spoke, rushing past Toji to push the door on her own. Toji chuckled endearingly as she struggled to shove the glass door to the cafe open. Her upper body leaning onto it as she tries to open it using her weight.
"Let me do it, pretty girl." Toji interrupted her efforts by quickly holding the door open with one hand and looking down at her with hooded eyes.
He's so sexy. It's these moments that get her cheeks burning.
"And yeah, she's new. Today's her first day, actually. Her name's Hana." He explained as they entered. Y/N mouthed an 'oh' as her eyes scanned the place for a seat before pouting.
God, She'll be the death of me. If they weren't in such a public place, he would've made out with her right there and then.
They found a seat and ordered as Y/N talked about her work, teasing Toji that he makes his people do so much work that they should go on a week-long company trip as compensation.
"Love, we pay those people. That's the compensation right now." He countered her while giggling, immensely amused by her comical attempts of guilt-tripping him into giving them a surprise vacation.
"The week-long trip will have to wait until the holidays." He winked at her, nodding slightly as she continued to eat, playfully narrowing her eyes at him.
As much as Toji likes hearing her voice, he still enjoys quiet moments like this. When he can just watch her and take in the graceful way she moves and memorize her little mannerisms. He wasn't just sweet-talking when he said that he feels like he has to catch up for all the years he spent without her.
It's been a couple of months since they unveiled their relationship. Y/N's colleagues were speechless when he showed up with her one movie night. They thought they had just run into each other, but their eyes almost popped out when he pulled her by the waist.
Toji can understand their reactions, though. No one suspected them of dating because of how subtle they were. The only times they met were when only the two of them were in the company building, so no one ever caught them.
It's not like they had to hide from anyone. It's just that they don't want anyone in their business. But now, it feels nice to walk around the city, holding hands, in broad daylight.
"Hana's really pretty." Y/N abruptly said as they were crossing the street towards their building. Toji gave her a quick glance from the corner of his eyes, checking her reaction.
"Well...yeah." He gently pulled her by her upper arms to move her to his other side, away from the street and the vehicles.
"But you're prettier." He continued as he took her hand, squeezing it three times. He doesn't know why he felt the need to reassure her, but he did. He saw a quizzical look flash on her face before it disappeared just as quickly.
"Well...thanks. But I just really thought she was pretty, no other intentions behind it, don’t stress it." She said nudging his side teasingly before smiling up at him.
Y/N doesn't want Toji to think that she's trying to test him by asking questions like this. There really is no purpose behind her statement. Just a fleeting thought about the new face in the company. She trusts him.
Remembering his thoughts about the woman earlier 'caused Toji to absently squeeze Y/N's hand again, bringing it up to his lips to give it a peck. They were already in front of her company building when he urged her to walk past it, insisting that they should walk for a bit more before returning.
He doesn't want to run into Hana anytime soon.
--------------------------------------------------------
Days went by like a breeze. Toji encountered Hana every day, despite how big the building was. They just always seem to be in the same place.
Yesterday morning, he bumped into her on his way to the office, and she offered to bring him coffee which he gladly accepted, even though he already had some.
He's just trying to be polite, he thought. She was being kind, and I'd feel bad if I turned her offer down.
She brought it to his office, and they had a chat. He could not understand why he participated in a casual conversation when he was supposed to be working, but he thought it was harmless and seldom, so he just went along.
"It must be nice to live in a penthouse. You can see everything!" She exaggeratingly said, a dreamy look playing in her hazel brown eyes.
"Your future wife would be so lucky." She stared at him, slightly tilting her head, and Toji stared back, nodding before blinking, remembering something.
Right. Y/N. Girlfriend.
"Y-yeah. She's on the 12th floor right now." He informed her as her mouth agape, nodding. Toji reminded himself to drop by Y/N's office during break time.
"Ooh, lucky." Hana gave him a radiant, over-the-shoulder smile as she turned to look around the frames inside his office. She complimented each of them, looking back at Toji every now and then. They talked for about 15 minutes before she excused herself, saying that the papers that she was getting copies of must be done already.
Toji relaxed in his seat as he replayed the conversation in his mind. She's lovely. He thought about how well she'd get along with Y/N. He smiled at the thought of his girlfriend, thinking about taking her out on a date when the day's over.
He wondered if Hana was seeing someone too.
--------------------------------------------------------
It was the middle of the week and about an hour before they all got off work, it was Hana again who brought the papers from their department. She was wearing the charming smile that always seemed to catch any person's eyes. She came to work wearing crimson red heels that perfectly highlighted her porcelain legs, and Toji is only a man.
He only looked because her thighs were bright, and the color of her shoes complimented them well.
Dammit. Toji clenched his jaws and pressed his fist to his forehead. He's not thinking of her like that. He just found himself looking, and now he's in a bad mood. He felt like a fucking pervert, and he felt worse when he remembered his girlfriend.
'My girlfriend is doing her best while I'm out here looking at other woman's legs.' He felt terrible. He felt so awful that half an hour before the clock struck 5, he was on his feet with his briefcase in hand, rushing towards his girlfriend's office.
Her colleagues greeted him as he entered with a smile, searching for her pretty face across the room.
"I'd have to snatch her 30 minutes earlier today. We have something to celebrate." He smiled at them, talking casually, which put his employees at ease.
"Oh, is that why you finished your documents earlier today, Y/N?" One of her friends teased, making the girl blush as she put her things in her bag.
"What? I just felt like working faster today." She spoke in a hushed tone that made Toji giggle a bit.
No, definitely not. She is just a diligent worker, and I'm here to take her home because I feel so fucking guilty for staring at someone else's thighs.
Toji answered inside his mind as the girl walked toward him with a coy smile on her face. She still gets shy when they're around her friends. He thinks it's cute, though.
And he also thinks her thighs are fucking amazing.
His eyes flew to them as she walked, and he felt a bit better from what he had done earlier. How could he look at others when he already has these?
He was covertly checking her out as she was walking toward him, and he knew that she knew it because when they walked out the door, she walked ahead and smiled sweetly over her shoulders.
He's going to ravage her.
He thought as he chuckled, shaking his head at her antics. They got in the elevator, and as the door was about to close, a woman rushed in. She grabbed onto Toji's arms as she stumbled to her feet, her chest pressed against his.
Hana was panting as she smiled awkwardly yet sweetly up at him before letting go of his arm and fixing herself to stand beside him.
'Great,' Toji thought as the last person he wanted to be in the elevator with giggled, muttering a 'Sorry, sir' as she stood next to him and bowed.
Y/N's eyes widened when her boyfriend caught the girl, feeling the tension as the two looked at each other with surprised eyes. Her heart throbbed with pain at the sight in front of her. She swallowed, disappointed with herself for feeling that way when the girl almost fell face forward. The least Y/N could do to save her from embarrassment was understand the situation.
Toji wouldn't say it, but he found Hana's way of interacting with him...bizarre. He just thinks that she's too comfortable around him compared to his other employees. Most people admitted to having felt slightly intimated when they first encountered him. But Hana, she's almost confident around him, which piqued his curiosity even more.
Toji smiled back at her. Y/N did too, but Hana did not look at her. She was a bit dismayed because she really wanted to befriend her. Maybe she's just shy. Y/N thought, pursing her lips and staring at the elevator door as it showed their reflection.
"Hmm...Must be nice to get off work earlier than usual, Sir." Hana suddenly spoke teasingly, making Toji turn his head to see her grinning up at him.
She's standing close. As close as his girlfriend.
"I'm just kidding," She tittered, "You deserve all the rest since you work so hard, Sir."
Toji chuckled at her, clearly amused by her friendly behavior. He partially turned his body towards her, unintentionally covering Y/N's view of Hana.
"Well, I do work hard, thank you. But I rarely get off work early. Don't want my employees thinking that I'm just having a good time while they work their butts off." He joked back, making the pretty girl laugh, stepping even closer to him.
The two joked around during the short time that they were in the elevator, with Toji's occasional glances at Y/N as an attempt to not make her feel out of place. She just smiled back at them. Or...just him. Hana didn't really acknowledge her.
It was awkward, and her previous giddy mood got a bit spoiled already.
She didn't know they were close.
She even patted his shoulder when they got off the elevator and went separate ways. She thought of it as a friendly gesture. She did not want to be the overthinker in the relationship, so she kept it in.
"She's nice, ain't she?" Toji smiled at her as he looked back in the direction Hana went.
"Yeah, though she didn't really talk to me," Y/N said it like a joke, but it's true. She almost thought she was invisible because Hana's eyes did not even linger for a whole second on her.
"She's probably just shy. I mean, you don't see each other much, right?"
'And you do?' she wanted to ask him but prevented herself from doing so. She trusts him.
"Yeah, yeah, I guess." Y/N nodded, giving him a tight-lipped smile as he opened the car door for her. As she stared at her faint reflection in the tinted car window, she thought about the girl.
Hana is really pretty.
But she hopes that her boyfriend doesn't think she's prettier than her.
--------------------------------------------------------
Their schedules weren't very full during the following week. In fact, she had spent three consecutive nights at Toji's already because she didn't have to take her work home. The days were going so smoothly.
Until today, Y/N entered the elevator, going up to the floor of Toji's office. Before going straight to him, she stopped by the floor's staff room to make some coffee for him to go along with the pastries she ordered during lunch.
She was smiling from ear to ear, thinking about the newly opened cafe near their office and how she would ask him to go there later. However, her smile faded when she saw that Hana was already in his office, papers on her lap and two coffees on the table in front of them.
Toji's eyes flew up to her standing figure before he noticed the tray of coffee and pastry in her hand.
"Oh, I didn't know you'd be bringing me some, I already asked Hana to make some for me since she delivered some papers, and we're talking about her department's plans." He rushed, standing up to take the tray from her, kissing her cheek. It didn't ease the dull pain in her chest, though.
"I can't really spend today's break time with you, love. This is important, and she's asking for my help." He explained as Y/N saw Hana shift in her seat at the corner of her eyes. She glanced at her to see a small smile resting on her lips.
'That shade of red really suits her.' Y/N thought as she moved her eyes to Toji, who was still explaining.
It wasn't clear to her. The sounds around her seemed to deafen as the realization that her boyfriend was trying to send her out of his office during their break time hit her.
"No, it's alright. I should've informed you first. You can just share this with her. I'll just take my coffee so you two can continue." Her gentle voice took over Toji's deep one.
He stopped and stared at her. She smiled at him, as naturally and genuinely as she could, as she took her coffee from the tray in his hand.
"I'll see you later." She patted his arm and bowed at Hana, who took a sip of the coffee on the table.
The pain in her chest kept getting more and more prominent with each step she took away from her boyfriend's office. She was annoyed at herself for feeling like this when he was only doing his job, but she could not help it.
Is she being too jealous and insecure? Y/N felt selfish for wanting this time all to themselves. She felt terrible that she was thinking of someone like a villain when she was just trying to do better at her job. Y/N felt guilty for being upset with his boyfriend when he only wanted to help his employee.
But even if it wasn't his intention, she felt like he sent her out. Her heart was hurting, and the tears were threatening to fall from her eyes. She understands that it's work. She understands that this concerns the company but what she doesn't understand is why their meeting had to be during the short break that she could spend with him.
But Hana's really pretty. And she'd understand if her boyfriend would want to spend half an hour conversing with her.
--------------------------------------------------------
A month went by fast, and the heavy feeling in Y/N's heart was getting thicker along with her paperwork. The schedule was hectic, and her time with Toji decreased as they were both busy.
The elevator encounter and the break time drama made her think about some things more than she thought she would. And what she's seeing today is definitely not helping.
There, walking inside the building, is her boyfriend, Toji Zen'in, with two coffees in a drink carrier and a stunner smiling beside him.
Hana.
Y/N almost froze as she watched the scene happen several meters away. The two were chatting as if they were the best of friends.
I thought he only laughed at my jokes.
Y/N thought bitterly as Toji finally spotted her. He muttered a few words to Hana before rushing towards her, giving her a peck on the forehead.
She remembered telling him that he did not have to pick her up for work today because he's been up 'til 3 in the morning, and she didn't want to rush him just to pick her up from her condo.
"Hey, love, good morning." Toji greeted Y/N as his secretary greeted him, taking his bag.
"Here, how was your sleep?" He handed her the other coffee from the holder. Y/N thought that he must've noticed the look on her face. That's why he asked about her sleep.
"Just enough, at least I finished my papers, and we can finally go out." She sighed dramatically, trying to lighten up the mood. Her mood, to be exact.
"That's great, baby. But not later today, though. I got a meeting with Hana's team." He informed her, and her mood plunged again. She can't complain, though, because it is work.
"It's today at 5:15 pm. She wanted a direct consultation about her team's ongoing project since they're having difficulties with it." He took a sip of his coffee, putting a hand on the small of Y/N's back.
Okay, that's after work already. Y/N felt a pang in her chest, feeling rejected by her boyfriend. She misses him so much already. But she thought it wouldn't hurt to wait for him since she finally got some free time.
"Oh, that's fine. I can wait for you, then we can just go to your place so you can rest. Or whatever you want." Y/N suggested, subtly checking his reaction.
"Sounds good, love. I don't want to keep you waiting, though, are you sure?" Toji asked as they waited for the elevator. Y/N briefly scrunched her brows together at his question.
Why would he ask if she's sure? It felt like he didn't want her to wait for him. It felt like he only half agreed to her plans.
Y/N started to feel frustrated at herself. She doesn't want to think of her boyfriend like that. She mentally scolded herself, trying to push her thoughts away.
Is she being overly sensitive today? Maybe. Because she saw them walk in together.
"M-hm." Y/n hummed, not trusting her words. The elevator opened, and they got in. Y/N thought it was only right for her to ask why they were together. She's his girlfriend, after all.
"Is that what you two were talking about earlier?" She sounded calm. But inside, she was nervous about what his answer would be. They seem too happy to be talking about a company project.
"Ah no, that's not it." Her hands felt cold as her heartbeat increased in speed.
What is it, then? What were they talking about that he seemed so amused that it took him a minute to spot his girlfriend standing across the room?
"It's just casual talk. Just things like how the traffic sucks and stuff." He replied, taking her hand in his as if sensing the tension surrounding his girlfriend.
"Why?" He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, his eyes scanning her face. It lingered on her lips before flicking back to her eyes.
"Nothing, I just thought that was it. She seems really comfortable around you." She smiled up at him, rubbing her thumb on the skin of his hand.
Before he could reply, the elevator door finally opened, and a couple of employees greeted them as they stepped out. They went to his office just to have some time with each other before working hours officially started.
Toji kissed her as soon as they entered, taking her bag to place it down on the cabinet near the door. She knows that it is too early for this, but she misses him so much, and the situation with Hana is making her more frustrated.
She just wanted to leave the building with him and go on an unplanned trip to have him all to herself. She would never admit it, but she got jealous.
"Wait a minute, don't want you hurting yourself." Toji pulled away, chuckling and taking the coffee from her hand before placing their cups on his table. He smirked at her as he took off his coat, throwing it on his chair before taking long strides towards Y/N.
As they kissed, Toji's hand roamed around her body, and she found herself clinging to him with her legs wrapped around his waist and his hands on the back of her thighs. He sat on the couch near the big windows, allowing her to admire his defined facial features as the gentle sun shone down on them.
"I missed you. Spend the night at the penthouse." He pecked her lips as he tightened his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. He brushed back some strands of hair off her face as she continued to softly kiss him, humming at his suggestion.
They basked in each other kisses and caresses. And maybe a little grinding here and there until a knock on the door interrupted them. Sighing, Y/N got up from Toji's lap as he asked for the person behind the door, walking towards it with an irritated sigh.
Y/N was fixing her clothes when a soft voice made her stop.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't know she was here. Did I interrupt something, Toji—uh, Sir?"
Did Y/N hear her right? She called him by his name? They're that close?
"No, not at all. Come in. What is it?" Toji answered, brushing his hand over his shirt as he turned to look at Y/N, who's now facing them with a shy smile on her lips.
"I just thought I'd bring this in advance, Sir. They're a summary of what we'll consult you about later." Hana handed the papers to Toji. Her undivided attention is on him. Her eyes are focused on his face, ignoring the presence of his girlfriend on the other side of the room.
"And I just wanted to thank you for the ride earlier." Y/N was sure they could feel her stare because they both turned to look back at her. She just smiled and walked to the cabinet where her bag was placed on their way inside.
"Uh, yeah. It's nothing. We're going to the same place, anyway." Toji turned back to Hana, who was looking expectantly at him.
'He didn't mention it.' Y/N thought with her back facing them, pretending that she was looking for something in her bag.
He didn't mention that he gave her a ride to work. She thought they had just met outside the building and decided to come in together. Where did he pick her up?
Y/N wanted to cry. She felt like her boyfriend is starting to hide things from her. She bit her lips as they began to quiver, and the line of her eyes began to sting.
Is she overthinking again? He's probably just being nice to her.
"I'll be going now, Sir. I'll see you later?" She heard Hana say, the clink of her heels following after. She exited the room without saying anything to Y/N. It's not like she was expecting to be bowed to or something, but a simple smile could really put her heart at ease at that moment.
Two strong arms snaked around her waist as soon as the door clicked, and Toji's lips were against her nape.
"Sorry about that. I'd lock the door this time." Toji left trails of kisses on her neck up to the back of her ears, but she was feeling too bothered, unsettled, and hurt to give in to the warmth of his lips.
"It's time for work now, love. I gotta go. I'll just see you later." Y/N pecked his lips, her eyes cast down as she slid her bag up her shoulder, leaving him speechless.
Toji felt like coming after her but decided against it. He'll make sure to make it up to her later when they get home. He felt like he's neglected her so many times already.
And Hana was almost always involved.
Something about their situation felt familiar to Toji, but he could not pinpoint it, no matter how hard he thought as he sat on his office chair. He opened the documents and thought they'd just talk it through later.
He really needs to hear how Y/N's feeling about all of these. He knows that she has the tendency to keep things to herself. She's always putting him first, and she always finds reasons to understand his shortcomings.
He doesn't want to think that Hana is taking him away from his girlfriend. He doesn't want to think of her like that. She's just a hardworking person who always wants the best for her team and the company. And that is why she's doing her very best to make sure that he's always informed of their team's plan and even her colleagues' concerns.
She's just a diligent worker and a sweet girl.
--------------------------------------------------------
Hana was the only one to enter the room when the time of their meeting came. She held a couple more folders in her arms, an addition to the ones she brought earlier, smiling as she closed the door behind her. She ran a bit to reach his desk, bowing as she placed the documents in front of him.
"Hi, Sir. Sorry, they said they'd be a bit late and sent me here to inform you ahead of time." She sighed as she sat down in front of him.
"It's fine. We could wait for them." Toji suggested, pulling the papers towards him.
"Yes, Sir. Thank you for understanding." Toji remembered that Y/N said she'd be waiting for him. He did not want her to wait for long, but it seemed that it couldn't be helped. He made a mental note to buy something nice for her for everything she had to endure lately.
"How was your day?" He started a conversation, sitting back on his chair and looking at her.
Her hair was tied up today, and the neckline of her blazers exposed her collarbones. Toji's stare lingered for a second before he looked around the room.
"It was tiring, but it was worth it because I'm almost done with my assigned task."
She leaned forward on his desk, her elbows supporting her weight. The casual tone of their conversation made it seem like they'd known each other for a long time.
"What about you, Toji? Was today a tiring day?" Hana looked up at him, her eyes shining as she fiddled with her fingers. Toji found himself staring back at her. He doesn't remember when but at some point, he allowed her to call him by his name when they were alone.
"Yeah, there were a lot of papers to read and sign. I didn't even finish them. I'd just take them home." He answered, rubbing the back of his neck, sighing.
"I could give you a massage. It could help with muscle tension and stress." Hana offered, and Toji was supposed to say no, but how could he when she's staring and beaming hopefully at him.
"Well, they're not here yet, so...I guess it's fine. It could relax my mind before we start." He sat up straight as she smiled wider at him, standing up from her to move behind him.
"I always give my grandma a massage when I get off early from work." Her eyes followed his movements as Toji took off his suit jacket, leaving him in his dress shirt.
Hana couldn't help but bite her inner lip as the man sat back down. She didn't think he would agree this fast, but today seemed to be her lucky day. She even got a free ride earlier when they met at the coffee shop.
She actually spotted Y/N the moment they entered the building. She just chose to ignore her. She was having her time with him.
Her hands knead his shoulders, feeling his muscles relax under her touch. He felt the tension getting lifted up from them, making him close his eyes and let out a low grunt.
"Does it hurt here?" He heard Hana whisper near his ear, but the feeling was too calming that he could only sigh. He felt her chest press against his upper back, making him gulp. He had to remind himself that you're waiting for him.
"This feels great. But... Someone's waiting for me, you know?" He tried to talk as she continued to apply light pressure between his neck and shoulders.
She knew that it was his girlfriend who was waiting for him, but she thought about how it could all happen quickly. They'd probably be done before she comes up here. After all, she just needs to have him once before he comes back for more.
"It's okay. They could wait. This is free but only for today." Hana joked, giggling softly as he felt her hot breath on the shell of his ear.
She sounds so sexy. Toji thought as he felt the pleasure of having the tangled and tensed muscles in his body calm down. He opened his eyes and looked up at her only to find her face a few inches away from his. Her hot breath was fanning over his lips.
Toji looked at her mouth as she stared back intently at him, feeling her hands rub down his chest. Closer and closer.
Why does it seem like she's moving closer? Toji thought as her hand rose up, and he felt her thumb graze the skin on his neck.
Her lips were plump and full and red.
He wondered what would happen if he were to lean in and have a taste right now?
He was getting tempted as he saw her tilt her head, her eyes glancing at his lips as she moved closer and closer.
He had felt this before. The harsh beating of the heart on his chest. The heat rushed all over his body. The curiosity that pushes him to give in. And the most familiar of all is the guilt lingering in the back of his mind as he snaps out of what seems to be a hypnotic state.
He would lose her. The answer to his question.
If he were to lean in and kiss the lips of this woman in front of him, he would lose Y/N.
This scene, this situation. It all feels too familiar to make the same mistake twice.
Before he knew it, he was already on his feet and holding her by the shoulders to distance her away from him.
"Stop. Hana. What is this? This is not right." Toji panted as he let her go, stepping away from Hana, who looked like she was about to break down and cry.
"But— "She tried to interject, but Toji raised a hand at her, closing his eyes as his guilt and frustration with himself took over. It was eating him alive, making him sink right where he was standing.
"I have a girlfriend." Toji felt as though the world's weight was crushing him as he spoke those words. He has a girlfriend. A beautiful, loving, and faithful girlfriend. Yet, here he is. Almost giving in to another woman.
"I'm aware of that." Hana furrowed her brows as she started to tear up, "But I still went for you because I like you so much. Even if it meant losing my morality and dignity. "She sobbed, looking up at him with the softest eyes she could ever manage.
Is she really trying to justify her actions with that? Toji's eyes widened as he shook his head in disbelief. She could cry in front of him, but he is not falling for that.
He was caught off guard, but that was it. He thought she was attractive, but that was it. He's curious about a new face like her, but that was it. There's nothing more to that.
It was clear in Toji's mind what he had to do.
"This was what you were trying to do? All along?" He asked, still shocked at what she said. He pushed his hair back as he let out an exasperated sigh.
She intentionally got in between him and his girlfriend because she liked him. She was intentionally getting close to him because she wanted him.
So it wasn't a coincidence that she was involved in almost every situation where he'd been negligent of his girlfriend.
He felt so fucking guilty. The look on Y/N's face when he had to reject the snacks she brought for break time, the elevator encounter, and what happened earlier morning played inside his mind.
He wondered how she felt when she saw them laughing together in the lobby earlier.
His heart clenched at the thought of his girlfriend waiting there right now. He has to get to her immediately. He has to tell her about all of this. He has to make it up to her. He doesn't want to hide anything from her.
"Listen, Hana." He raised a hand in front of her, checking the proper distance between them as she wiped the tears that fell down her face.
"I've been nice to you because I saw how hardworking and caring you are for your colleagues, but that doesn't mean that I'd do something like this with you." He sternly spoke, making it clear that he was not planning on cheating on his girlfriend with her.
He loves Y/N so fucking much. How could he let this happen?
He might have prevented something from happening between him and Hana, but he's still angry at himself for almost giving in to his desires.
"I love my Y/N. And the last thing that I want to do is hurt her. "He walked towards his coat rack, getting ready to exit the room and run to his girlfriend.
"I don't want to fire you. Because I know that you work hard and are dedicated to your job. But the next time you try something, anything, whether with me or my girlfriend, I'm banning you from our building." He warned her, fixing the collar of his coat.
The reason why Toji decided not to ban her immediately was that he knew that he almost gave in too. He almost fell for it. He almost cheated on his lovely girlfriend, who did nothing but understand every situation she was put in. He blames himself for letting things get this far.
"I'm not having this meeting with you. If you still want to consult me about this project, send someone else." Toji held the door open, clearly waiting for the woman to exit.
Hana's eyes were still teary when she walked out of the room. She even looked at him as if begging him to give her a chance. But he could only give her a cold stare as a frown sets upon his lips.
She didn't know where she lacked, but she ensured that everything about her was perfect for him. Yet, she still failed.
What is in that Y/N, anyway? She thought as she entered the elevator.
She thought it would be easy for her since he showed interest. She saw his lingering stares; his gaze flew to her red lips and how they scanned her body every time she walked in that door. She thought that she could have even just a half of him.
But Toji loves his girlfriend more than Hana thought.
--------------------------------------------------------
After prancing around his office for a few minutes, Toji finally decided to leave and go to his girlfriend, who was patiently waiting for him in the lobby.
There she is, sitting on one of the brown chairs as the setting sun outside makes her hair color look lighter than it is. Her ankles are crossed as she looks down at the phone in her hands.
She's probably thinking about calling him before going to his office. Something that she shouldn't be doing because he had already told her that she could freely visit him whenever she wanted.
He made her feel like this. Toji furrowed his brows and swallowed the ache in his chest as he took a big step towards her, eager to hold her hands.
"Love, let's go. Were you waiting for long?" He brushed her hair over her shoulder, giving her a long kiss on the forehead.
Her eyes almost looked sad when they looked up at him, but she quickly covered it up by giving him a sweet smile as she shook her head.
"No, not at all." He knows that she's lying because the other employees already left about 30 minutes ago, and it's almost 6 pm now.
"Let's go home." He took her hand and pressed his lips onto it for a couple of seconds before pulling her to his side as they exited the building.
He'll do anything to compensate for all the times he made her feel lonely.
--------------------------------------------------------
"Toji..." Y/N moaned as she clenched her fist on his dark locks. His tongue was doing figures of 8 on her bud as his fingers part her wet folds. Her legs quivered as his tongue lapped at her entrance.
Toji grunts as he hears his girlfriend's wanton moans, sucking on her clit to hear more. Her taste in his mouth got him drunk as he shook his head from side to side, making her moans go higher as she moved her hips to grind her wetness on his tongue.
So fucking hot. It took Toji everything in him not to take out his cock and slam it into her right at that moment.
He pulled back, replacing his tongue with his thumb, rubbing her wet clit as he kissed and sucked her inner thighs. Her eyes rolled back as her chest rose up and down, glistening with sweat.
She's fucking beautiful. Toji thought as he looked up at her with hooded eyes. Her lachrymose eyes met his. The sight of her blushing cheeks, eyes asking for more with her lips between her teeth made Toji slightly rut his hips on the bed.
Y/n was still wearing her bra, and her blouse was only unbuttoned halfway down, while Toji was still fully clothed save for his jacket.
He pumped a finger inside her pussy, curling it to hit her spot as he put his mouth back to work again, flattening his tongue over her swollen pearl before flicking it with the tip. Y/N cried out in pleasure, throwing her head back.
"I'm so sorry, baby. I did not notice immediately, love, I swear." He begged as he doubled the finger inside her soaking cunt, making her cry out in pleasure as her hands grabbed the pillow under her head.
"I was stupid to let it all happen." He kissed her clit, making her whimper at the brief contact.
She was lost in pleasure, whispering 'more, more, more,' but the pain brought about by Toji's confession is still sitting atop her chest.
When they got in his penthouse 20 minutes ago, Toji immediately told her about what had happened. All of it. How Hana was purposely getting close to him, how she did all of that because she likes him and the one that almost wrecked her—how he almost gave in.
"Love, nothing happened, I swear. I didn't do it. I did not do anything with her." He explained, grabbing her upper arms gently as she stared back at him with tears threatening to fall from her eyes.
She doesn't know if she should trust that nothing happened between them. She was almost happy that he was confessing this to her, but she couldn't help but think that maybe they did it.
Maybe they did, and the guilt was eating him alive; that's why he confessed.
Did they kiss? Did he touch her? Did she feel his arms and lips around her body too?
Y/N wanted to break down, but her boyfriend was explaining everything to her right now, and all she could do was listen while the thoughts inside her head contradicted his every word.
"Toji...How could you...How could I...How am I supposed to believe that nothing happened between the two of you just like that?" She sat down, feeling her knees tremble and weaken.
She buried her face in her hands, trying to stop herself from crying, but a sob escaped her lips, and in an instant, Toji's arms were around her.
He was muttering I'm sorry's and I love you's to her as he kissed her hair. They both didn't think that someone could cause so many problems between them in such a short amount of time.
He sat on the couch and pulled her on his lap, wiping her tears as he kissed her lips.
"She wouldn't be able to try anything again, love, I swear. I won't let any of this happen again." He tried to comfort her slightly shaking form.
"I understand that you find it hard to believe me, baby, but nothing happened. I didn't let it happen. I love you too much." He kissed her again as her body shook under his touch, pained whimpers escaping her lips. Each sob she lets out felt like a stab in his chest. He's never seen her like this before, and Toji could swear that it would kill him if he saw her in this state again.
After countless whispers of reassurance, the sweet kisses turned into a heated make-out session that involved grinding and moaning each other's name.
Toji carried Y/N to his room, their lips and tongues unceasingly moving against each other. And this led to the situation they are in right now.
He took off his dress shirt and pants before pulling Y/N by her arm, sitting her on his lap as he took off her blouse and bra. He kissed around her nipple before taking it into his mouth, growling as she started to roll her hips and grind her wet cunt on his thigh.
"Fuck. You're eager to come, baby?" Toji teased as his fingers played with her hardened peaks. Y/N could only moan in response.
It's crazy how they went from arguing to rubbing against each other, but both have been craving for this since the day the papers on their desks started to pile up. And now, the situation with Hana only made their hunger for each other increase.
Toji thought of everything he could do to show her how sincere he was and how much he loves her. He wanted her to know that she was the only woman he'll ever touch like this. And the growing tent in his boxers is also aching to prove that.
He moved her position to grind on his bulge, letting out quiet moans as she desperately tried to make herself orgasm. Toji wouldn't let that happen, though. Not like this. He wants to be inside her.
Toji stopped her hips as he moved to her other nipple, lightly biting it while staring at her glossy eyes, making her breath hitch. He hummed as he sucked the pebbled flesh into his mouth, nibbling on it.
He laid her back down, admiring her body as she panted. Her eyes are glistening, and so is her cunt. He groaned at the sight, pushing his hair back and taking his erected member out of its confinement. He pumped it a few times before Y/N sat up and took it into her hand.
He loved seeing her hands wrapped around his length, but tonight was about her. And he won't make her do any work for him, not after what he did.
"Baby, tonight is all about you. Let me make you feel good. Let me make it up to you." Toji stopped her hand, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"Please." He murmured as he moved to her lips, sucking on them, making her whimper as she laid back down again.
"Toji, please..." Y/N cried when Toji started to rub his shaft on her slit. Every time his bulbous head hits her bud, she lets out a whimper, her eyebrows furrowed and her eyes wide as she looks up at him.
Toji tapped his head a couple of times on her sensitive clit, grunting before pushing the tip inside. She gasped, grabbing the sheets under her, feeling him ease his length inside her.
Her walls fluttered around his cock, making him let out low growls. Y/N was biting the back of her hand as she watched half of his length disappear into her. Toji took her hand, intertwining their fingers.
"Just a little more, love." Toji shushed Y/N when she hissed, feeling a hint of pain as Toji filled her. His other hand began rubbing circles on her clit to ease the burn from the stretch.
Toji kissed her hand when he was entirely in, giving her a minute to adjust. She looks gorgeous underneath him. Legs wide open, her mouth slightly parted, and her body glistening under the dim lights of his room.
She's all his, and he would never let himself fuck up. He would never let himself do something that could make her leave or hate him..
Toji started moving slowly until her whimpers turned into moans and her moans turned to screams of pleasure. His name echoed around his penthouse as she clawed on the skin of his back, leaving red marks.
Toji was cradling her head, and his lips pressed on her ear. He was whispering the sweetest yet dirtiest, lewdest things to her. Y/N left a bite mark on the skin of his shoulder as he pounded into her, driving his cock into her.
"You're the only one I'd fuck like this, baby. You're the only one I'd touch like this." Toji growled, kissing her ear lobes.
"Yes, yes, Toji, please..." She begged as his hips started to thrust harder into her. She was leaving scratches on his shoulder and back, and Toji can already see her attempting to hide her face in the crook of his neck when she sees them tomorrow.
"Fuck. You're the only one I'd make love to, Y/N." He groaned, feeling her walls clench around him. He could tell that they were both close. Her walls spasmed around him, and his thrust started to stutter.
"I love you and only you. So fucking much." He stared deeply into her eyes as they rolled back, feeling her orgasm take over her body. He kissed her passionately, her toes curling as her legs wrap around his waist.
Toji thrustied into her a few more times before pulling out to spill his thick load on her pussy lips. He pushed her legs back, spreading them to watch his cum drip down her ass.
What a sight to behold. He wouldn't trade it for the world.
Toji cleaned her up before getting under the covers with her. The quarrel that they had earlier made the air around them thick. She was lying on her side, looking at him as if contemplating something.
"I'm sorry," He started, as he ran his fingers down her back before resting on the lower part of it, pulling her to his chest.
"I trust you, Toji." She whispered, her voice a bit broken from all the screaming.
Toji hummed, "I know, baby. I know. I wouldn't break it," pressing his lips on her forehead. He closed his eyes and inhaled her scent, wanting nothing but to take away all her worries.
"Nothing happened, right?" She looked up at him with a small, gentle smile tugging at her lips, warming his heart.
"Nothing, love. I promise." He brushed the hair away from her face, leaning in to kiss her lips. It was slow and romantic, as if they were savoring the moment.
"Then, stop apologizing." She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck and pushing her naked body to his. He sighed in relief, whispering comforting words in her ear, calming her mind and soothing the ache in her heart.
Toji doesn't understand why, but all of these felt like something he should've done before.
--------------------------------------------------------
The following day, they found out that Hana had resigned. Y/N saw her moving out her stuff; the disheartened look on her face made everyone glance at her. She knows for sure that Toji did not fire her, so her resignation somewhat made Y/N believe her boyfriend even more.
He really rejected her.
It's not that she's happy about her distress. But Y/N couldn't really feel sympathy towards her because she knows that Hana brought this upon herself.
Y/N is only human; it would be a lie if she said that she didn't think Hana deserved it. She couldn't bring herself to feel bad or sorry for her.
Why would you go after someone with a partner? And to seduce and encourage them to cheat? That's something she cannot disregard. If Toji failed to stop it from happening, Y/N doesn't know if she'd be able to look at them. Just the thought of it breaks her.
Y/N silently wished they never, ever run into her again.
When the news reached Toji, he wasn't that shocked anymore. He made it clear that Hana was wrong for what she did. Toji did not fire her. But she must've felt ashamed of her actions.
He doesn't know what he'd do if things got too far. He probably won't be able to forgive himself. He could've lost Y/N. The thought of her leaving as tears cascade down her face because of his stupidity made him scared.
He closed his eyes tightly and shook his head. He wouldn't ever let that happen.
It's not that they're happy that she quit her job. But it sure made the both of them feel a particular type of relief.
It felt like a hurricane just changed course.

Hello! How are you, and I have a request if you wish to do it. So I was thinking of a College AU with Shinsou working there as a part-time employee, then one day fem! reader comes in and at first he is like “Pfft whatever” but then he brings dropping his tsunade behavior and beings growing soft for her while he got to know her and he has seen her rescue a kitten in which he asked to help co-parent their child. He is doing it to get to know her more because he fell for her, but she is a bit oblivious when it comes to ✨feelings✨. I thought this would make a cute HC/ Drabble, however you wish to do it, of how their relationship began to bloom at the local coffee shop.
AAAAHHHH!!!! YES!
Happy Birthday to Shinsou Hitoshi!💜
The most adorable, handsome, and overall best purple headed boy on the show (Fuck off Mineta).
To Take Care of a Stray: Shinsou Headcanons
Barista! Shinsou x F! Reader
FLUFF
As any college student would tell you, cheap caffeinated drinks were a must.
Coffee specifically was a must.
Shinsou was honestly debating if he needed his 3rd cup of coffee that morning or if he could just wing it and go on with an empty tank.
He procrastinated when it came to his assigned project, plus his project partner ditched him, so he was practically all alone figuring his shit out.
And thats how he found himself working at his local coffee shop.
He hated every single customer that would come in at any hour of the day that he work on.
They all demanded his attention and honestly, some days he wished he could just scream in their faces that "No, i don't give a fuck about your pet bird speaking back to you. I'm only here to make you your coffee and take your money."
The cheap coffee was worth it though, so he keeps the complaining to a minimum.
Retail is honestly a "no reward" type of job. The amount of entitlement that some people have baffles him at times.
Around his second year in college he ends up working the late shift to make some extra cash. It also meant less people coming in and demanding an overly complicated drink. Score!
The sound of the rain pouring down helped calm his nerves and allowed him to relax for moment before the door of the shop swung open.
"Oops, sorry. Didn't mean to do that." The first time you walked into the shop you accidentally pulled the door with too much force that it ended up slamming into the wall.
Shinsou immediately didn't like you.
Who the fuck was this woman?
You went up the counter and told him your order taking out your money and handing it to him.
Clean and simple. Nothing special.
Then you came back again a few days later. That really fucked with him.
Most customers came in and never bothered to talk to him. He wanted their money while they wanted the shitty coffee they sold. Easy, right?
Nope, not with you apparently. You came in and asked about his day, how his studies were going, and if anything interesting happened in the shop.
He would respond with brief answers and immediately ignored you afterwards.
You were just so annoying.
..Ok, maybe not.
You were funny, the way you fumbled and played it off as you being intentional.
The way your mouth would widen into a smile anytime he spoke back to you.
You weren't overly energetic, nor overly happy. You were just nice, nice to him.
He wasn't use to that.
You fascinated him just because you existed and he wanted to learn more about you.
He got his chance on the 5th time you came in.
You usually came in at a specific time, always when there was barely any customers, but today you didnt' show up at all.
He wont admit it but he got concerned and would keep looking at the clock on the wall and back to the door of the coffee shop.
When you finally came in, you had scratches on your hand and on your cheek.
"What the fuck happened to you?" He leaned onto his hand that was placed on the counter top. His body relaxed and only showed boredom.
In reality he was terrified, you had scratches on your hands and red streaks too. Why?
"Oh, i was just- i fell into a bush." You gave him a smile that made his heart flutter and legs go weak.
He was so happy he was leaning on the counter because he hadn't he would have fallen onto the floor.
Your smile just had that affect on him.
"How stupid can you be? Look were your going next time."
"Aww, thanks sir!"
Good mood was gone. He told you not to treat him like your friend, thats not what you both are.
...But he really hated that you took that very literally and didn't bother to at least call him by his last name.
"Hmm." He gave you your usual and answered the questions you had for him that day.
You started to come in 4 times a week and every time you did he would notice new scratches on you.
The scratches weren't that bad, he thought maybe you were one those "adventures" types, but the red marks were concerning him.
When he would ask you about them you always had a different excuse for them.
"My backpacks straps are bit rough."
"I placed my arm wrong on the table"
It was this or that but never a concrete answer.
It was happening every time you came in so something had to be wrong.
He gathered up the little cuarage he had and decided to ask you what you were doing.
"Why do have so many scratches on you?" You werent expecting him to be so blunt but you happily told him to meet you after his shift at the nearby alleyway.
He was suspicious of you but he was also curious, he desperately needed answers because the concern for your wellbeing was getting to be too much for him.
He followed your instructions and walked towards the alleyway you directed him to.
When he turned the corner he saw the most beautiful scene in the world.
You were surrounded by cats...and you were giving them food.
He could die happily then and there.
"W- this is why you show us with scratches all over you!?" You nodded but got up and walked over to a cardboard box that was tucked under a bigger box.
You told him to follow and when he crouched down to see what was in it he saw two huge eyes staring back at him.
"You've been- this little thing is the reason for your scratches?"
"Yep!"
He laughed at you and helped you feed all of the cats.
When the two of you finished up, you picked up the box that the small kitten was tucked in and gave it a pat on the head.
"What are you going to do with the kitten?" Shinsou asked you.
"Well, i wish i could take it with me but i don't think i'd be able to take care of it since i work early in the morning and have classes late at night."
Shinsou's mind started planning.
He really liked you and wanted to be around you more often.
Shit, if he was brutally honest he had a crush on you.
"Well, i have classes early morning while i work at night. So...why don't we co-pa-... i mean co-care for the little guy?" He knows his ears were red, he knows his face was starting to turn red as well.
But he wasn't about to admit that he really wanted you to say "yes".
"Uh, ok. Sure!"
Shinsou was over the moon with this and it was all going so perfectly as well.
The kitten would spend the mornings with you and in the afternoons the two of you would meet up to take care of it together.
You both decided to name the kitten Mieko.
""Beautiful blessing child", thats a cute name! Why do you want to call him that?"
"Because...i want to- y-you idiot. Stop asking so many questions!" You just laughed at him and gave him a pat on the shoulder.
Shinsou melts.
Shinsou would bring the kitten with him to work since his boss had a soft spot for animals.
Imagine how exited he was when you first invited him into your own apartment.
"You have your own place? Color me impressed."
"Thanks Shin." Shinsou blushed a little at the nickname. It had been over a month that you both agreed to take care of the kitten together.
The more time he spent with you the more he fell.
"I hope you like the umm...book." This was another thing that started after the two of you began to co-parent the kitten. He would bring you gifts and act like it meant nothing.
Reality is that he was courting you.
He expected you to make a comment on his gifts but you glossed over them like nothing.
It was getting on his nerves.
"Aah, hey. Do you want to take Mieko out for a walk...again."
"Was that a question or a demand?" You laughed at him
You made it look easy with how much you make him blush.
The more time you both spent with each other, the more Shinsou realized he was truly in love with you and wanted you to be by his side.
But he was facing a problem. You.
You wouldn't pick up on the hints he was dropping on you. His interest on you.
So one day he decides to just tell up upfront if you would like to go on a date with him.
"Hey Shin, do you want to go on a date with me?"
Shinsou. exe has stopped operations
"W-wha-"
"I'm joking buddy! But seriously do you want to go out to eat? I think Mieko would-"
"W-WHaT!? F-fuck no!" That upset you because you thought he might like free lunch.
"You could've just said no." He was losing you, again.
Fuuuuuuuck!!!!!
"N-no wait! What i wanted to say was umm, would you like to go out with me? Like a date! N-not like friends."
You both just stared at each other for a moment, the silence only making the situation worse.
"...Sure."
Mieko, your child, just blinked at the two of you.
"These two ridiculous humans are my parents, great." At least this lead to Shinsou moving in with you and Mieko having a permanent home now.
Double the pats for the two new people in your home, double the purring sounds, double the angry and grouchy cats begging for your attention.
Who wold trade this? You got to cuddle with the two most adorable people in this world.
"I'm not fucking adorable Y/n!"
"Shush Toshi or you're not getting cuddles and kisses."
"....fine."

~ Yandere Jaemin - The jester ~
[hi babies, this is one part of my nct fairytale series this one based on Alice in wonderland with jaemin <3, it had influence from both the original book and the book by marissa meyer centred in the universe + a lil of my own stuff]
I love alice in wonderland and jaemin so I’m so sorry how long this is lmao also yes I did write all of this on the same day ;-;
wc: 3.6k
summary : you live in wonderland, and everything is normal until a stranger shows up - a jester who says he’s looking for you, he seems innocent and sweet but is he really?
TW / trigger warning: yandere themes, mentions of - violence, murder, swearing, blood/gore, 18+ (suggestive), etc
The yearly mock festival was coming to an end. Humans and creatures alike were slowly making their way to the stairs and to the comfort of their homes. A stranger was also making their way over but not to his home, to the crowd. He slipped through it unnoticed and stopped, bowing in front of the queen.
She looked at him in curiosity but also in fascination. He was very much used to this, having people stare at his beauty and the way he presented himself - elegant and cocky.
‘‘ My majesty. I come to seek refuge in your town ‘‘ the stranger said.
The queen raised her eyebrow at him and waved at the deck of cards close by, almost stumbling over their own feet in fear of displeasing the queen.
‘‘ Show this gorgeous stranger that empty house ‘‘ the queen demanded to the cards in a shrill voice.
‘‘ Yes ma’am. Come this way! ‘‘ they answered in union.
The stranger followed them in silence but kept his distance. They went far and near, up and down the crossroads and curvy paths until they reached a small cottage. It was far from the other houses and the village but he liked it immediately.
‘‘ Here we are sir! ‘‘ the cards exclaimed in union again and turned like robots ready to go back the way they came and serve the queen, it was all they knew after all.
‘‘ Excuse me ‘‘ the stranger had had one thing and one thing only on his mind throughout the whole trip there.
The reason he was here in the first place
You
‘‘ Do you happen to know where...y/n is? ‘‘
The deck of cards looked baffled, one of them even chuckled.
‘‘ y/n? Why would you want to see her sir, she’s so very eh- ‘‘ one said
‘‘ -mad ‘‘ another filled in.
‘‘ Who are you anyway? ‘‘ said another
‘‘ Jaemin, I’m a jester from far far away ‘‘ he said with clenched teeth, growing impatient at the lack of answer he was getting.
‘‘ Why would you like to see her? ‘‘ said one
‘‘ She’s not special ‘‘ said yet another
‘‘ I have to ‘‘ he said firmly and was now clenching his fist.
‘‘ She’s not far from here sir. She lives in the cottage opposite this forest ‘‘ said one card with cloves on his front.
‘‘ Thank you ‘‘ Jaemin exclaimed in relief and watched as the deck of cards turned and walked down the path.
On the outside it looked like an old cottage like any other, with broken windows and an overgrown garden. The jester wasn’t surprised, they must’ve given him the most ugly and worn out house since he was still a stranger but with a few snaps of his fingers, the inside would look a lot better than the outside.
As he had finished snapping his fingers three times he saw the familiar white cloud in the window but before he walked in he had to check around the area. He thought he heard the rustling of leaves and twigs being broken.
Looking to his right, he saw in the distance how a girl was walking towards him. Instinctively his heart started to beat faster because what if it was you? The girl was wearing a dress which was blue and she had a white apron tightly wrapped around her which was full of flour. In her right hand she was holding a basket filled with something and her hair shone bright in the sunlight that was peeking through the thick trees above.
// YOUR POV //
You were just about to walk past your favourite abandoned cabin when you noticed, it was no longer abandoned. A handsome young man, about the same age as yourself was standing outside it. You being all alone though, this far out from other people made you scared so you kept your head down right when you passed by him.
‘‘ Hey! ‘‘ you sighed in disappointment, all too often creepy men or creatures would try to stop you and flirt which made you very uncomfortable.
You tried to put on a fake smile before you turned to face him.
‘‘ Hi! ‘‘
‘‘ You’re y/n ‘‘ he stated.
You probably looked very confused to the stranger. How did he know your name? In this wide land, you were a nobody and this random man you just stumbled upon seems to know who you are - by the look of his curious brown eyes studying you - maybe he even knew everything about you.
‘‘ Yes..sir. Can I help you? ‘‘ you asked hesitantly and wanted to punch yourself for sounding so small and helpless.
The boy took some time to answer, suddenly looking a bit nervous the way he fumbled with his hands.
‘‘ Oh, I just. I’m your new neighbour, Jaemin. The cards said I might meet a young woman here who lived close by ‘‘
Shit, you were really too paranoid sometimes, this was just a harmless boy who had moved in right next to you.
‘‘ Oh! Yes of course ‘‘ you smiled at him with more genuine warmth now
‘‘ Welcome to the neighbourhood then I suppose ‘‘
They boy nodded and chuckled. He was very attractive, and you were pretty sure he knew it. Tall, dark and handsome with puppy like brown eyes and fluffy hair. He had a defined nose and rosy lips that matched his smooth and beautiful skin. But the most attractive thing about him, to you, was the way he carried himself.
That smile could just about make any girl fall for him, maybe even worship him. As he stood there looking at you become entranced with his beauty you began to wonder if he was using magic on you so you put your guard up again slightly.
‘‘ Thank you. I hope to see you around, where do you work? ‘‘ he asked and you almost bit your lip at the look he was giving you, it was very intense and his smile yet again so charming.
‘‘ Oh! ‘‘ you exclaimed suddenly, you had forgotten to answer and had just stared at him getting completely lost. You saw him smirking at this.
‘‘ I-I work at the bakery in town, hence- ‘‘ you gestured to your flour dusted apron and dress with a sad smile.
He laughed heartily but assured you,
‘‘ You look fine, trust me ‘‘
You smiled shyly in response. It felt like he was kind of flirting, he was giving you that look again that both turned you on and made you creeped out, it said
I know everything about you
Nevertheless if that was the case, you felt very much intrigued with this new stranger and you didn’t want him to be a stranger for long.
‘‘ I suppose I’ll see you around then ‘‘ you said suddenly when the tension had built up even more and you started remembering all the responsibilities you had at your work.
It felt like you had been here for about an hour and you had muffins to bake and customers to please.
‘‘ I suppose you will ‘‘ he answered with an amused glint in his eyes.
You decided to turn even though your body and heart really wanted to stay. Your intuition and head however won over the battle inside you and told you to get the fuck away from him.
You kept your back turned as you made you way past the mysterious boy. You had a feeling that he was still watching you as you went, eyes never leaving you and it freaked you out a little, making you shudder.
The rest of the day went on as if it was like any other day. Tons of baking and getting your hands dirty, chatty customers and delicious desserts. By the end of the long workday your muscles were aching. You cleaned up and did your usual routine of locking up the store when everyone had left.
Usually you wouldn’t think twice about walking home in the dark, your bakery closed at midnight so it was way past sunset. It was practically pitch black outside and no one was on the streets, they were all at home probably sound asleep. For some reason the queen had decided that all houses be soundproof in the village. So the fear was increasing when you thought about the stranger, the dark and walking home alone because if something happened no one would help you - they wouldn’t hear you scream or hear you cry out for help.
You turned the key that locked the bakery with shaky hands but tried to compose yourself. You had a very odd and naive thought in your head,
If I don’t get attacked tonight I can trust Jaemin
It truly didn’t make any sense but just about every cell in your body wanted to trust him, and wanted him to like you, like the way you were so attracted to him.
‘‘ y/n? ‘‘ a voice behind you said interrupting your thoughts.
You shrieked and jumped in surprise, throwing your arms up in some pathetic attempt at defence in case you’d need it.
‘‘ It’s just me, your neighbour ‘‘
You lowered your arms and smiled at him apologetically.
‘‘ Sorry ‘‘
‘‘ Don’t be I get it. It’s dark, no one’s around and I just startled you like that, I should be the one to apologise ‘‘
‘‘ No no, it’s just that I don’t like walking home in the dark ‘‘ you assured him, now feeling really guilty.
‘‘ I can walk you home ‘‘ he offered with a friendly smile.
You were silent for a bit, thinking to yourself before making up your mind.
‘‘ Yeah, I’d like that. Thank you ‘‘ you returned back the smile even though you still felt a bit uncomfortable.
Jaemin joined your side and waited for you to step away from the shop and decide the pace.
You walked in silence beside each other. You felt a bit nervous, not really being sure if you were supposed to start a conversation or not but then it dawned upon you, why the fuck was he alone there in the village anyway?
You glanced at him quickly to see if it would give you a clue to this mystery but he looked as he always did, nothing was different. So you decided to drop it and thankfully you didn’t have much more time to overthink about it because your house had now appeared in sight.
He still had a chance to take you if he wanted to, it was dark, quiet and no neighbours were close except for well...conveniently enough, him. But he didn’t. He kept his distance all the way up to the house and stepped back when you got up on the porch.
‘‘ Thank you ‘‘
‘‘ My pleasure miss ‘‘ he said with the same amused glint in his eyes.
You turned around and walked in, closing the door and locking it. Well inside you leaned on the door allowing yourself to calm down a bit.
He didn’t do anything
You shrugged and went upstairs, getting ready for bed and falling asleep not long after your head touched the pillow.
-
The next day he was the first thing you thought about in the morning before you jumped to your feet and rushed to put on your clothes and get to work.
You broke into a sprint constantly mumbling fuck to yourself and basically bursting in the bakery. The few customers inside and the cashier you had hired looked at you in shock.
You stopped for a bit to catch your breath before explaining, still out of breath to the cashier.
‘‘ The-Ball-I-Have-To-Bake ‘‘ you managed to press out between every breath.
The cashier gasped and immediately left the desk.
‘‘ I’ll bring you the ingredients ‘‘
You swallowed and nodded to the customers when you walked past them disappearing into the back room where you did your magic.
You put down your stuff and put on your apron already in action when the cashier came in, put the ingredients on the table and hurried out again.
You ended up making several pastries and cakes to the queen’s liking and by the end - about six hours of straight baking, you were so exhausted you decided not to go to the ball.
The cashier peeked her head in about an hour before it was to start.
‘‘ I’ll send these up? ‘‘ she walked up to the finished products and you just nodded at her, drying off the sweat that had formed on your forehead.
After that you spent the rest of the hour leading up to the ball cleaning up all the mess you had created.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
You sighed, it was already closed but you have had to deal with customers knocking anyway wanting treats when you weren’t open. You put down your cleaning supplies and hurried to the door. Through the glass door you saw the outline of your neighbour.
‘‘ Jaemin? ‘‘
He shook his head and tutted at your state when you opened the door.
‘‘ Do I really look that bad? ‘‘ you said and glanced down quickly.
‘‘ For a ball, yes. Otherwise, no you look exceptional ‘‘ he said
You snorted at his flirty comment.
‘‘ I’m not going, too busy ‘‘
‘‘ What? No way. I won’t let that happen ‘‘
You turned to face him again, having walked up behind the desk to count today’s money. He leaned over the desk and tried to give you his puppy eyes.
‘‘ I can’t go like this Jaemin, sorry ‘‘ you said and shrugged your shoulders.
He scrunched his nose and stopped trying to use his puppy eyes on you now.
‘‘ I have magic ‘‘ he tilted his head when he saw this caught your attention.
‘‘ Really? You’re a jester? ‘‘ you rolled your eyes.
‘‘ What, is it not cool enough for miss or something? ‘‘ he jumped over the counter effortlessly and was now standing very close to you, closer than he’d ever been before.
They way he was towering over you basically looking down on you made you chuckle unexpectedly.
‘‘ Yeah sure it’s cool enough I guess ‘‘ you answered playfully attempting to push him out the way so you could walk past.
He put his arm out, not letting you.
‘‘ Do you use it a lot on the ladies? ‘‘ you added and held the eye-contact
He snickered and made a very cute expression which made your heart melt.
‘‘ Of course. Every time ‘‘ he said sarcastically ‘‘ Now, will you let me ‘‘ he waved to your messy state.
‘‘ I guess why not ‘‘ you said and closed your eyes.
When it was silent for a few seconds you opened them again and you saw white clouds surrounding you all around, when it had cleared and disappeared completely you could finally see his work.
You were wearing a champagne coloured silk dress that was quite tight at the top with spaghetti straps and flowed out at the bottom, highlighting your curves. Looking at you hands, they as well were polished and clean and you hair was in a sleek ponytail, feeling as if it had been washed.
‘‘ I’m impressed ‘‘ you said at last when you noticed his worried expression, anxiously waiting for your opinion.
He exhaled deeply.
‘‘ Thank god ‘‘
You giggled at his cuteness.
‘‘ Shall we go? ‘‘
‘‘ Certainly ‘‘ he answered and extended his arm for you to take.
The walk this time was also pretty quiet, the castle wasn’t too far away you could already see it from here but you just couldn’t help yourself,
‘‘ Hey Jaemin? ‘‘
‘‘ Yeah ‘‘
‘‘ What were you doing so late at night in the village yesterday? ‘‘
Although you didn’t look at him, you could feel him get a bit uncomfortable.
‘‘ Browsing I guess ‘‘ it was your turn to feel uncomfortable now, all the stores closed a lot earlier than your bakery and everyone in town knew that but he hastily added, ‘‘ The villagers told me your bakery closed very late so I thought I’d go by and buy something. Unfortunately it was closed though ‘‘ he laughed and looked down shyly when you looked at him in surprise.
‘‘ Why’s that, horrible sweet-tooth? ‘‘ you said
‘‘ No, just wanted to support my neighbour. That’s all ‘‘
You nodded and felt a bit guilty for being suspicious of him. If your guards hadn’t been down before they sure were now, basically in hell. You felt incredibly comfortable and at ease with Jaemin and you did for a moment think you were starting to fall in love with him.
This feeling would arise again when you had finally reached the castle and were greeted by the white rabbit.
‘‘ Invitations and names please ‘‘ he said in a stressed voice, his eyes all the time looking back and forth, darting between guests.
The jester gave the rabbit one of his charming smiles and you watched as he interacted with other people, even that was attractive, god what was wrong with you?
He fixed everything for the two of you, showing both of your invitations and names and you leant back letting someone else do the work for the first time in your life. It was nice, this weird feeling of being taken cared of.
He took your hand when the rabbit let you through and he lead you towards the dessert table. You raised your eyebrow at him when he started basically inhaling entire pastries of yours.
‘‘ I have to see how talented you are ‘‘ he defended himself when he saw your judging look.
You rolled your eyes and waited for him to finish, eyeing the other guests as you did. When he finally was done - after eating half the table you noticed - he dragged you out on the dance floor.
It was a slow song. You gave him a shy look, not sure if you wanted him to see how much you liked loved him or for onlookers to see that either for that matter. But he insisted, pulling you close to him and starting to rock slowly to the beat of the music. He gave you a big childish grin and you laughed, starting to move as well and letting you be drowned in this feeling.
It felt like it truly was just you and him in this world, and he would protect you and love you forever. He could do you no harm, he was amazing.
You probably radiated these feelings through the lovingly eyes you were giving him and he looked at you the same way. Everyone else faded away and it felt like you were in a fairytale, just how magical it all felt...until it didn’t,
The music was abruptly stopped and murmuring filled the hall. You didn’t have the energy to worry about it so you leaned your head again Jaemin’s chest feeling sleepy. In the distance through your dazed eyes you saw the white rabbit approach you, until he wasn’t very blurry anymore, he was clear and right in front of you clearing his throat.
‘‘ Miss you need to come with me right now ‘‘ the rabbit said in a shaky voice.
‘’ Hm? ‘‘ you said sleepily not yet leaving Jaemin’s arms.
‘‘ What’s going on? ‘‘ Jaemin said in a worriedly.
‘‘ It’s uh, something very terrible has happened to her parents sir ‘‘ the rabbit looked down on the ground under the intense stare of the jester.
‘‘ Let’s go, y/n ‘‘ he whispered to you gently and took your hand.
You had no idea what was going on but followed like a lost puppy. The rabbit lead you to a carriage which you were put in and sent off. It stopped outside your parents house, a mansion closer to Jaemin’s house than it was your own - on the outskirts of town.
‘‘ Wait here. I’ll see what’s wrong ‘‘ he said and stepped out.
Your head felt heavy, like you’d fall into eternal sleep any minute now - that’s how tired you felt, like you hadn’t slept for decades.
‘‘ y/n dear? ‘‘ the carriage door opened again and two hands extended to take your weight. You walked up to it, staggering and let yourself be lifted down.
Everything was a bit blurry but you could make out the familiar outline of your parents on the ground. They were in front of their front door and they didn’t seem to be moving. Blood was flowing out from their necks and their limbs were twisted in weird, unnatural angles.
Oh
This must’ve been the terrible thing the rabbit had been talking about...
You tried to walk towards your parents but your foot hit something. You looked down and jumped back in surprise. It was another body, no - you looked around, it was several bodies of the guards.
‘‘ What happened to them? ‘‘ you asked Jaemin in a horrified voice.
‘‘ I don’t know ‘‘ he said and bit his lip, lowering his raised right hand and entwining his left one with yours.
‘‘ Look at me y/n ‘‘
You turned to look at him, starting to feel a bit overwhelmed and scared of everything going on. You felt crazy, like you had no idea what was real and what wasn’t.
‘‘ You and I, we’re gonna live together. Far far away from here and we will be happy forever because you love me right? Say it! ‘‘ he roared the last words but you weren’t scared. You just looked at him with loving eyes.
‘‘ I love you ‘‘ you said like a robot,
completely entranced
you were his
forever

Can i get a oneshot where Azul finds out about reader's secret "pics of Azul Ashengrotto when he's not looking" magicame account lol
oh yes, the only magicam account that got more followers than Vil and Cater
wait for “Oh Azul, your radiant beauty is an art” discourse under the cut.
alternative title: Koebi-chan turns into sneaky snake to immortalise the beauty of local octopus who for once doesn’t know how to turn this situation into a contract feat. neighbourhood-friendly eels dying from laughter
“Azul, I think you should see this”
Jade passed his phone to Azul who was engrossed in his paperwork. With a heavy sigh, he shifted his attention from recent golden contract and looked at the screen. His eyes widen at the sight of pictures.
Pictures of him.
Lot of photos on one blog titled: “Pictures of Azul Ashengrotto taken when he’s not looking”
,,It’s surprisingly quite popular account”
Jade remarked not sparing a single glance at Azul who was going through an existential crisis. He was anxiously scrolling through countless picture taken, as the description of magicam account stated, when he was not looking.
Him doing some homework, him preparing a special golden contract, him burning his fingers on boiling hot tea or even him looking at the star-studded sky.
When someone could have taken those pictures? Why? Does he have a stalker? Wasn’t he the one who occasionally stalked people?
Multiple questions run through Azul’s head as his hand run through his hair. He let out a heavy sigh, not even bothering to listen to Floyd who was having a time of his life. Eel sat comfortably in his chair and was dying from laughter.
Azul’s secret admirer and stalker? That octopus having a secret fan-blog? How amusing~~ What unfortunate soul could be so engrossed in that fishy businessman?
“Who runs it? Names, Jade, I need names.”
Oh, so octopus entered the “feral disposure mode”, remarked Floyd who licked his lips in anticipation. Oh how he couldn’t wait to squeeze some poor, unfortunate souls.
“Ohhh, yess, we could squeeze that little admirer of yours”
,,I doubt Azul will let you after I reveal who it is”
Jade cut in, making everyone confused. Floyd’s wide grin slightly faltered and Azul raised an eyebrow.
“Ne, ne Jade, don’t keep us in suspension~~”
“It’s Y/N.”
The sound of your name entailed various reactions. Jade only chuckled seeing Azul going through another crisis, as his eyes widen and he was left utterly speechless, while Floyd was (once again) dying from laughter.
“Koebi-chan? THAT Koebi-chan??! It couldn’t get funnier!”
Exclaimed Floyd while Azul was still engrossed in his thoughts.
It suddenly made sense.
The way you would observe him, constantly on your phone when he was taking care of contracts or paperwork. Stealing secret glances and giggling and always dismissing his questions when he asked what made you laugh.
Given that you were dating Azul and he was a busy businessman, you were a rather special guest at Mostro Lounge and recently you’ve been spending there more time than in your own dorm.
“I mean it’s kind of fair. I send you to spy on her and she spies on me in return”
Remarked Azul with a heavy sigh, quickly pushing up his glasses and standing up. He was determined to leave his cabinet before Leech twins tease him or make fun of that blog any further. He caught a glimpse of Floyd opening his lips to throw some nasty and vicious remarks at him and Jade’s eyes were glowing with mischief.
It was high time to evacuate and excuse himself of the room.
Azul had a bigger fish to take care of than Leech twins.
It seemed that his angelfish gone a little bit too far.
…
,,Y/N dear, could you perhaps explain this?”
,,Right, Shrimpyy~~!! Why would you take so many pictures of Azul when you could just admire me!”
Azul’s deadly calm and cold voice as well as two pairs of arms wrapping up around you, successfully pulled you out from redoing mock papers for alchemy. You let out a loud shriek and jumped at the sudden contact.
Ignoring Floyd and his tightening with each passing second grip, you focused on the screen which Azul was practically showing in your face.
“Oh, you found that?”
You were stunned. You knew the day of your doom will come sooner or later, so you were prepared for every possible scenario. Yet, that didn’t stop you from screaming internally as multiple thoughts run through your brain.
Oh shit. I knew that was a bad idea. What were I thinking? That guppy brain of mine! Please sir, don’t let those eels squeeze me. If that’s how I shall go down, at least I’ve left a worthy legacy.
Azul quickly remarked your flushed face as you fiddled with your thumbs nervously. You tried to wriggle out of the twins’ grip, but your attempts were quickly proved to be futile. Much to Floyd’s dismay you soon stopped struggling and instead you decided to fake your confidence.
Baffle them with your bullshit, usually seemed to be a good strategy.
The other choice would be to seduce Azul, but you weren’t sure if you were able to put on the show right in front of twins.
“I took excellent pictures, didn’t I? I even made sure the light was perfect on each of them. Oh, look at this one! You looked suuuuuper handsome that day, didn’t you? You’re rarely that cheerful and your smile causes flowers to bloom in a 50 meter radius. So it’s only natural that I felt the need to make that look last forever~”
You ignored Floyd’s laughter, subtle chuckles from Jade and Azul who was not only confused and wasn’t sure whether he should scold you or ask you to continue rabbiting on. His face flushed and he tried his best to still appear “collected and calm”, but you could see through his façade.
Azul was actually flattered that you found him worthy of not even a single picture but a whole blog dedicated to his beauty, as you phrased it.
“Y’know, you’re a walking art and I couldn’t help myself but to immortalise it!”
You exclaimed with a bright smile and you lower your head slightly, so hair could do you a favour and hide your embarrassment which was written all over your hair.
“Awwww, Jade, aren’t they such cuties~~~”
,,I think we should leave them alone Floyd”
And with that Jade excused them, leaving you with frustrated Azul who kind of wanted to scold you for taking pictures without his permission and kind of wanted you to shower him with even more praises.
He was greedy, insatiable and desired more.
You giggled seeing his flushed face. You hesitantly came closer, standing right before him. You quickly cut the remaining distance and your forehead touched his, resting in that place. Azul sighed deeply and his gloved hand reached to run through your hair.
“What should I do with you, angelfish, hmm?”
,,Well, you could perhaps kiss me?”
You suggested with a sly smile, making Azul let out a barely audible chuckle. He slightly shook his head and you felt the tension leaving his body.
“You know there’s price for that.”
“Dang, you want me to delete that blog, don’t you?”
,,Y/N you should delete that blog, so my image could appear more professional”
You pouted dramatically, pulling away from him. Before Azul could clarify himself, you cut him.
“Well, that’s a shame depriving all those people from your radiating beauty!”
Well, maybe you were going a bit overboard with the amount of praises and dramatic power it entailed.
Either way, Azul lost it.
Instead of collected and meticulous octopus you saw a determined and frustrated man who was more than eager to protest.
,,No, no, Y/N. I should be THE ONE who should be complementing you and worshipping you, but about that price”
He exclaimed and you only giggled in response as Azul took you in his arms. He began leaving delicate, butterfly kisses on your neck in breaks incoherently mumbling praises.
Your lips soon got captured by chapped lips which tasted like water and salt into a delicate, gentle kiss. It almost made you forget about the slight sadness you had felt when Azul asked you to delete your blog. Instead his next words between nibbling on your skin, made you stunned and worried.
“Instead I should make a blog full of pictures of you, my angelfish, to return the favour”
“W-wait!”
“But could you perhaps continue with your whole “Oh Azul, your radiant beauty is an art” discourse. I would love to hear more”
BONUS:
“How did I not find out about this earlier? I’m literally tagged in every picture”
“I blocked you”

mmm this does intrigue me... A LOT I love the crazy hillbilly vibes fem!reader
CW: corpses(very descriptive!), blood, kidnapping, puking
It's an early morning, and the dew on the grass shines when the sun hits is. Mother is helping the servants make breakfast and father has gone into town for work. It's not often that you wake up so early, and you would like to enjoy your time outside. Mother does not like when you wander around outside because you always come back with the hem of your dress dirty and tattered. In order to avoid the wrath of your mother, you put on some pants that one of the stable boys let you borrow. Oh but if mother ever saw you in pants when not riding, then you would have to pray for your life.
You lay down in the damp grass, trees providing some shade, but sun still covering your body. It's a beautiful day, you think you may go horse back riding later. Your favorite horse, Tim Tam, would be excited to see you.
Wind blows, rustling the grass around you, sending a chill up your spine. You can just barely see your house in the distance, you walked quite a ways.
The sound of a horse clopping nears, stomping in the grass and surely leaving tracks. You sit up and look around, but can't find the source of the sound. One of the stable boys must have taken a horse out for exercise. Without warning, a horse leaps out of the trees, it rears in front of you and lets out a bellowing neigh. You gasp and scatter backwards.
The horse brings it's hooves down with a loud 'thump'. A man sits atop the horse, tall and intimidating. He dawns dark clothing, between farm clothes and noblemen clothes. There is no other way to explain it. His hair is tied up in a pony tail, and it is quite long. But that's not what catches your attention. It's his eyes. Dark and hollow, endless, hypnotizing.
You clear your throat and stand up, patting the dirt off of your pants. "Hello sir, what brings you around here?"
His voice is flat, monotone, and unchanging. "Get on."
"Excuse me?" You ask, completely baffled.
This scene reminds you of an old story your mother told you. Somewhere in Greece there are two gods, a dark one taking the woman who is amongst the flowers.
He seems angry, only slightly furrowing his brows. It's his eyes that tell you he's frustrated. He leans down, and grabs you by your bicep, gripping it tightly.
"Hey! That hurts!" You yelp out.
There's no time to react when he yanks you from the ground, seating you in front of him on the saddle.
"What are doing?!" You exclaim, unable to move with one of his arms holding you against him. He digs his stirrup into the side of his horse, and with one hand holding the reigns, rushes off.
No matter all of your screaming and crying, there is no escape or answers. Eventually your throat is raw from the yelling, and you fall silent. It feels as if you speak that blood would fill your mouth. Soon enough, a fence comes into view. Beyond the fence you can barely make out a farm house across from the acres of fields. The horse jumps the fence, and trots contently towards the house. As you get closer, you realize just how big this house is. It must be three times as big as your own house. There's a barn to the side of it, it's doors wide open, but it seems that there are no animals inside.
A servant is waiting outside of the house, and when the both of you dismount the horse, he leads it to some stables. The man who abducted you grips your wrist tightly, enough that you know there will be bruises. He remains quiet, and you do the same. The doors are grand, and he pushes through them. He leads you through the foyer and to what must be the Great Chamber of the house. Sitting in a love seat with a round wooden table in front of her, is a tall woman dawning a fascinator, and an elegant dress.
Without turning to look at you she says, "I see you obtained her Illumi. The servants are waiting in her room." So his name is Illumi?
"Thank you mother." He returns.
He leads you up excessively tall stairs and down a hall to a door with locks on the outside of it. He pushes you inside and locks the door behind you.
In the room there are three women, standing in a line with their heads bowed. "Welcome my lady." Says the woman in the middle. The woman to the left follows, "We are to wash and dress you." The woman on the right adds, "Please allow us to do so."
Soon enough, you're sitting on a chair in the nude, the women using cloths on your body. They dip them into the bucket with soapy water, and rubs the cloth up and down your body. You're dressed in under garments, and then in a round gown. Your face is covered with powder, some light lip balm rubbed against your lips, giving them a rosy tint. Lastly, your hair is styled in a way that it never has been, it takes two hours.
It's dark by the time the women unlock the door and leave. You wander around the room, examining the furniture. The curtains are drawn, so you look outside. It's hard to see anything in the dark, the light from the barn being just bright enough to see in the distance. There's a thump from below you, and you peer down closer to the house. Someone is dragging something off of the deck, but as they get further away from the house, you are unable to see them.
If being abducted weren't enough evidence, there is definitely something wrong here. When you try to speak, all that comes out are quiet whimpers and squeals. It's painful to the point you wish you had never tried to speak.
You realize that the bedroom door is cracked, leading to the dark hallway. You make your way over to the door and peek your head out, looking both ways down the hall. It's almost pitch black, the only light from a window, shining bright moonlight. You step out and find yourself wandering to the end of the long hall. A room with two doors which are wide open presents itself. A man sits on the unusually large bed, examining your every move.
He calls out to you in the darkness, "Come in. I don't bite."
You tip toe towards him, standing in front of the bed where he sits. He's large, the moonlight reveals his muscles, and glowing blue eyes. "You will make a wonderful wife." He leans forwards, and pets your face, holding your chin in his hand.
"So strong, so smart. Yes, a wonderful wife for my son." He says. You would protest but there is no way you could produce sounds from your mouth. These people are fucking crazy. "Go on now, explore your new home."
You happily do as he says, pulling your face away from his hand and scurrying out into the hall, and down the stairs. Have these people not heard about candles? They have servants, so they must be able to illuminate their house.
The house is eerily still, the air stiff. The front door, you'll go out pf the front door. But you have a feeling if you try to escape there will be someone on guard.
You push through the heavy doors, needing to put all of your weight and strength in order to open it. The door slams behind you, and you let out a sigh, wiping sweat off of your forehead. Yes, they are neurotic.
This is where you saw the person below you dragging something. There's a path in the grass where something has been pulled through. It's flattened it, leading far away.
You pick up your dress, stepping down the stairs and following the path. Eventually your arms get tired and you drop your dress to the ground, allowing it to be tainted. Your feet begin to hurt as well, so you pull off your shoes and carry them. The grass is wet, and makes a gross squelching sound when your feet meets the ground.
Soon enough a light can be seen, it's the barn. The path leads directly to the barn. Your dress is muddy, the beautiful peach color having turned into a gross black and brown color at the hems.
Your heart begins to pound as you begin to near the wooden structure. You debate turning around and going back to the house, or even trying to escape... but something compels you to continue.
The doors are shut, before they were wide open. Once you step onto the concrete in front of the doors, you wipe your feet on it. Trying to get the gross muddy feeling off, not accomplishing this. You take a moment to gather yourself, and grab the handles of one of the barn doors. Similarly to the house, the door is just as heavy. Your feet scrape against the ground as you pull on the door, causing them to bleed. Quickly you slip inside the door before it shuts on you. Your feet sting and your hands burn from the effort.
It stinks, it smells absolutely rancid. It smells like rotting bodi-...
Humans. Corpses. They hang from the ceiling upside down, being drained of their blood as farmers do with chickens. The ground is covered in blood, a puddle of it that you could swim in. Some people are pinned against boards or walls, just as Jesus was. There's a large bin in the back where bodies are piled into, hands and feet and legs and arms hanging out of it.
The smell is overwhelming. The sight is overwhelming. You fall to your knees and hang your head back, looking at all the nude corpses. Mortifying. Their faces seem to hang off of their head, as if they're melting. Well, those of them that still have faces. Some are blue and purple, some are missing arms. There arms hanging down from the bodies, as if reaching out to someone for help.
Who could do such a thing. What man would do such a horrible thing. You fall forward, holding yourself up on all fours. There's a pile of hair underneath you, and can feel the bile rising in your throat. You can't help it, everything you've eaten in the past week comes pouring out. But at least it smells better than the bodies.
A hand pats your back, and weakly you turn your head to look up. There, 'Illumi' stands, watching you with emotionless eyes.
He looks at the travesty in front of him and back at you. "It would have been best that you stay in the house." He walks forward, and reaches out, touching the hand of one of the hanging corpses. He grips the hand and rips it off of the body, but there's no blood left in that body to come out. It's bloated and diseased, but he throws it into the bin of bodies.
"Go to bed. I will send breakfast and medicinal herbs to your room in the morning." Before waiting for an answer or a reaction, he leaves, leaving you leaning over your own puke.
You would stuff your face in the puke if that meant not smelling the rot anymore. Instead you hurry out of the barn and collapse on the concrete. 'Oh god, oh god please spare me' repeats in your head. It can only get better, right?

Too Trusting (Yandere Ciel Phantomhive X F!reader)
Summary: You picked up a half-dead young man from a dark alley, tended to his wounds with your nurse skills. However, you did not expect his way of paying his debts.
Notes: So this is a Ciel counterpart of this by @animeyanderelover First time writing for Black butler so hopefully this do not turn out to be too OOC.
Ciel is aged up in this, so no pedophilia haha.
Word count:3.1k(I went overboard oops, a sequal is already taking space up in my mind but whatever), long read with caution
Trigger Warning(s): Gore, drugging, implied dub-con, stalking
Stars glistening behind thin clouds, while the silver moon watches over midnight London carefully.
You yawn and stretch your stiff limbs as you walk out the hospital hall. It has been a long night, though not many patients, the slow hours from afternoon to midnight is nothing less then torture.
You know what you were getting into when you took up studying nursing, but you still cannot chase away this sensation of annoyance. The walk back to your family’s manor is usually peaceful, as it is through a well-to-do neighbourhood of the city. But you still stay on your guard as you lower your hood cape and hurried along. Under ideal circumstances, you would have a carriage for commute, but your noble yet impoverished family could only live a modest life even though your father holds the title of Count. As a result you grown to be independent, cleaned your own room, dressed yourself, enough to become a hard-working nurse instead of a proper noble maiden.
You were unsure of your eyes when you noticed a trail of blood prints leading towards a dark alleyway. Judging by the traces, it means the person, or the thing is still nearby as they are fresh. Should you follow this? What if it is a criminal? But your care for this person’s health got the best of you. With this amount of blood loss, the wounds can be fatal if not given proper medical care. Whoever they are, you cannot just walk away and forget all about them, as it is against your conscience.
A young man dressed in fine suits is not what you expected, although you imagined that suit would look better if not soaked crimson, it seems that he has been shot by guns, the bullet wholes are the proofs. This is no good, you thought as you observe the pool of blood forming underneath him. He needs treatment right away. Although the gunshots are not on his vital parts, such as heart or brain, the blood loss from arteries would drain his life quickly.
“Sir? Can you hear me?” Crouching down, you made a close-up examination of his condition. Unconscious and pale, it seems he had dragged his way into his dark back alley with all those bullet shots. Putting some simple bandages over his wounds, you scoop his slim form up and hurried out of that place.
It feels like a long, feverish dream for Ciel, being carried as he senses the bullets still present in his flesh.
He woke up staring towards your bedroom ceiling. It is morning already, where is Sebastian? Noticing the unfamiliar scenery, Ciel quickly reaches for his right eye, relieved to feel that his eyepatch is still intact.
With a crack of the door, you walked in with a teacup in hand. “I see that you’re awake, I was expecting you to be in coma a bit longer.” Although you are a bit offended by the young man’s cold and evaluating gaze, you still put the cup of warm water on the nightstand.
Instead of taking a sip at the liquid, he asked questions. So demanding, fitting for a young noble.
“Where am I?” “The (family name) manor, do not worry, my parents would not be home until later this week.” Brining a man home while your parents are away, how scandalous, yet you know the laundry maid and the cleaning maid knows to keep their mouths shut. “I advise you to not trying to move too intensively at present, your wounds are still healing.” Pouring yourself a cup, you took a seat on the long sofa next to him. That is where you doze off last night, where the wounded man took your bed. Today is supposed to be your day off, you planned to use it to catch up on sleep, but now it is all ruined thanks to mister mystery on your bed here.
The (family name) family? Ciel vaguely recalls reading about this name before. This house of Counts used to be quite influential in the days of the Queen’s grandfather, George III, and the regency era, but now they are nothing more then minor nobles. Still, he cannot fandom how a lady like you had saved him from that bloody mess.
Looking down to his abdomen, Ciel can see he had received medical attention from you. Now that he has been saved from the reaper’s collection, Ciel knows the best thing to do is calling for his loyal butler. However, he must find a way to repay his debts you. You did save his life, after all.
“How long was I unconscious?” “Only for a couple of hours. May I have your name, Sir?”
He knew he should hide his identity, even from you. The less people knowing that the Queen’s guard dog was almost successfully assassinated last night, the better. But as if his lips have a mind of its own, Ciel let it slip out. “Ciel.” Good thing he managed to hold the word after.
Ciel, the French word for sky. Suitable for his eye color. “Well, pleasure to meet you Sir Ciel, I am (y/n). You might have guessed I am a noble but spare me the court protocols. Right now I am nothing but a humble nurse.” Now you have a chance to look at Ciel properly, he is actually quite handsome with those delicate features. Silky blue-black hair paired with peacock blue eyes, although one of them is covered by an eyepatch. You were tempted to pry when he was still out but choose not to as it could bring horrific consequences. Noblity can be so cruel, you do not want to get dragged into their mess further.
“I thank you, for coming to my aid.” Ciel lowering his upper body forward, attempt to bow as best as he could in his current state.
“It was nothing, really. Please be careful, Sir Ciel. Your wounds are sealed, but vigorous movement can still open them up.” Your knotted brow amuses him, how can you act so nonchalantly when receiving gratitude form Lord Phantomhive himself? You are a peculiar one indeed. Brining a stranger home and patching him up, while you know nothing of his identity or intentions. How very naïve of you. Guess there no harm in trusting you for a bit. If you want him dead you could have just left him in that damp alleyway.
Taking a sip of the teacup you prepared for him, the Earl frowned at the plain taste. But he drank all of it, nonetheless. Being subjected to tea for so long, he finds water dull and it leaves a foul taste in his mouth. It would have to suffice for now. “My butler would be here soon; would you mind opening the windows?”
Baffled by this odd request, you still drew away the curtains and let the morning sunshine in the room. Seeing you bathed in sunlight had made Ciel feel a certain something. He is startled by this strange sensation, how it made him blush and lose composure. The Earl had never been very sociable person since childhood, so the only female he frequently spend time with is his fiancée Elizabeth. One could say the fairer sex is foreign territory to this man. Ciel is used to being around Elizabeth, out of duty as she is his future bride. But he never felt this warm feeling when he is with her. You might not be a beauty by popular standards, but there is just something about you that made him want to... maybe it is your caring gaze, or your easygoing attitude, Ciel is not sure which one to pick.
“Excuse me, young lady, do you mind telling me how serious my lord’s injuries are?” You jumped back, frightened by the sudden appearance of the tall man on your window ledge. This is two stories high; how did he get up here? No wonder why Ciel wants you to open the windows.
“Sebastian, you frightened her.” The young man scolded the butler, who merely bowed and apologized for the intrusion. You begin describing his bullet wounds in great detail, even showing him the aftermaths: the bullets you took out before on a plate. But you soon found yourself staring up into the butler’s gorgeous eyes, and you started stuttering. Those eyes are like swirling tornadoes, drawing you close every minute. Although Sir Ciel is already an attractive lad, his butler seems to be on whole new level.
Usually when women were swooning over Sabastian, Ciel would find it irritating but simply ignore the interaction, as it could be used to their advantage. But seeing your starring eyes fixated on the tall man in black, a bunch of...jealousy hit in in the head. You saved him; he is supposed to be the one you are looking after! Why are you so focused on that demon? Taking notes of his young master’s angry signs: how Ciel bit his underlip, Sabastian knows he had gone too far with you.
“Sabastian, carry me back home, that is an order.” He spitted out the sentance rather harshly.
You snapped out of your funny state, approving his actions: “If you must move, it is the best if someone carry you. Sir Sabastian, do you need me to call you a carriage?”
“No need, Miss. My lord and I would be on our way now, thank you for your assistance.” Within two seconds, they both disappeared from the room, as if they were never there. You shook your head, cleaning up the teacup and the messy quilts, wondering how you are supposed to return that blood-stained suit jacket that still lies in the laundry bin downstairs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Earl Phantomhive is now back to his study, reading a report about you.
“May I ask you why this young lady had peaked your interests?” That smirk on Sabastian’s lips successfully irritated Ciel’s short temper. Scowling at him, he tried to explain how he only wants to properly thank you on saving his life. “I never like owning debts, but I do repay them. What is that smirk for, Sabastian? Are you teasing me?”
“Why, how could I milord. I do not have the courage to mock my master.” After giving him a warning look, Ciel returns to his paperwork, setting your files aside. But unfortunately his mind starts to wonder.
What would it be like, to have your hands messaging his shoulder when they are sore from work? Those hands that pulled him from death not so long ago. No, no. He has to stop. Ciel Phantomhive already has a fiancée, and even though he had no romantic feelings for Elizabeth, it is not proper to just daydream about another lady in such salacious manners.
Even so, Ciel needs to make you do not face any dreadful consequences because of him. Many people want him dead; he simply cannot allow you to be affected by his foolishness. A precious person like deserves to be protected and cherished.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Labelling your strange encounter with Sir Ciel as a notable but past event, you carried on your daily duties per usual. Your parents did not suspect a thing as you took care of all traces of Ciel, you still work those awful full night shifts. That suit jacket is cleansed, folded neatly in your bottom drawer, as a reminder of Ciel and his handsome butler is not a fever dream.
While browsing the London news during afternoon tea, you glance at the gossip column and find how Lord Phantomhive had broke off his engagement with little lady Midford. You pay it no particular mind, as you were barely involved in high society due to your family’s declining status. Gossips such as these does not bother you a bit. You placed the newspaper back to its proper shelve, finishing the biscuits as you thought about how you should get out of this state of unease.
Maybe you are just losing your sanity from night shifts, but ever since that day Ciel appear in your life, you have this constant feel of being watched everywhere. In your bedroom, in the hospital halls or in the streets, no matter where. No matter how hard you searched, there is nobody. Even though you sense no malicious intent, it still worries you and kept you up at nights. Your parents are worried about your ever-growing dark circles, but you just brush it off as side effects of your job.
“Really, dear, you shouldn’t overwork yourself.” The Countess, also your mother said at the dinner table one night. “The household can still run without your overtime pay; you know.”
You nod silently, pretending to be having trouble dissecting the salmon filet. Working is a way to help your parents pay for the ever-expensive bills of this manor, as well as your insurance of not being sold on the marriage market by your devious uncle, who brought suitors to every family party. How he said: “Your family might not be what it used to be, but a son of a wealthy merchant can change that!” disgusts you so. Those men disgust you also. All they want is that Count title, as you are the only child, your family title would go to you.
“You got mail, milady.” Your washer maid presents the latest postage to you. Ah, is it the pay checks?
When you held the white envelope in your hands, you could not believe your eyes; The scarlet wax seal is engraved with the crest of a dog, representing the Phantomhive family. What could the Earl possibly want with you? Although you are a nobleman’s daughter, you never acted like one and you lived a middle-class life. The only distinction being the family tree and your blood. Knowing your worth, you did not assume naively how the earl must have want your hand in marriage, even if he recently broke off his engagement. Your status of a backwater noble is too insignificant for him to notice, so why did you receive this letter?
It indicates the Lord wants you to join him for dinner tomorrow night, which made your stomach churns. Your table manners are not the best, as your parents do not care for such things. Along with the letter there is a package containing a fine black dress, its velvet material surely feels expensive. What did you do to attract such attention from the Queen’s guard dog? You simply cannot fathom why, never at once Ciel came to your mind. You initially wanted to turn down the invitation, but your father said it would reflect poorly on the family. You accepted it, not wanting to put your parents in trouble. This must be a mistake, you thought. I am not qualified to be some lady, all I wanted is to help people in the infirmary.
The dress fits you perfectly, as if it is tailored by the finest in London. A shiver climbs down your spine as you thought about how he obtained your measurements. All you have to do is smile, eat whatever, and he will get bored of you in no time, right?
No.
When you were greeted by that devilishly handsome butler again, you were so relieved. This is just Ciel inviting you to dinner, to show his gratitude! There is nothing to be concerned about.
Ciel not like himself from few weeks ago at all. You can tell that he is trying whatever strategy to make you feel comfortable, even telling you to forget about stiffy table manners if you like. Hm, how unusual, as you heard before the Earl is found of strict etiquette and protocols. But having seen him in a fragile state before, you never once suspected his true intention.
Ciel is mad. Not at just anyone, but at his loyal servant, Sebastian.
How dare he drawn your attention away, how dare he makes you giggle like a fool, how dare he make you smile like that. Doesn’t the demon know you will soon belong to his master from all those investigations? It is bad behaviour for a servant.
“Were you listening, (y/n)?” Ciel suddenly stops in the middle of a description on his company’s latest candies.
“I-I’m sorry Lord Phantomhive, it is just...” You lower your head to apologize, but he seems less then pleased.
“Sabastian, leave the room now.” “As you wish, young master.”
After the butler backout of the dining room, leaving the two of you alone, Ciel’s expression completely changed. But you are a bit preoccupied by your dizziness. Why did your head feel so heavy all of a sudden? Have you caught a chill? Standing up from the chair, you courtesies to your host: “Thank you, Lord Phantomhive for this delicious dinner. I am feeling rather unwell, so I am afraid I must take my leave.” You almost lost your balance because of your vertigo, only caught the chair for support at the last moment.
Thin, but strong long fingers grabbed your wrist, forcing you to sit down beside him. “Oh no, my dear. I think you are exactly where you need to be.”
His...dear? What can he possibly mean by that? There are certainly many other suitable noble ladies available to him, why?
However, your mind starting to become cloudy, as you can no longer form coherent thoughts. Seeing you in such hazy state, a sinister smile forms on his lips, as he pulls your body into his embrace, slowly stroking your hair as you black out. Feeling you had been forced into a dreamless sleep, Ciel knows he had succeeded, as always. To be honest with himself, Ciel did abuse your trust, by seasoning your steak a little differently, but it is your fault for being so trusting of someone you only met once. Ciel had won this game, now he would gladly take the prize to the new bedroom he so thoughtfully prepared for you. You are going to love it, including his series of plans. The title of Lady Phantomhive suits a sweet person like you impeccably.
He had thought about this long and hard, and he came to a conclusion of the best way to repay you is to offer you a position you cannot possibly refuse. The position of Lady Phantomhive. He even upsetted Elizabeth for this! It should qualify as a decent compensation. Should you ever think it is not suitable, your parents would be a good place to start negotiating. You wouldn’t want anythnig happening to them, don’t you?
Now that Ciel understand how it is like to “love” someone romantically, he swears he is going to try his best to make you comfortable with him in this new home. Your presence would lighten the grim mood of this manor greatly. Easily swooping your unconscious body up bridal style, Ciel begin to walk up the grand staircase, towards the bedrooms. Maybe the manor could return to its former glory in the near future, with a happily married couple and their adorable little brats. He could have a family again! Doesn’t that sound just lovely?

Rough Day At Work [Maxwell Lord x Reader]
Author's note: Oh. my god. This is a long one. I write a lot of Maxwell fluff but this one is by far one of my favourites. It's a journey of pure, unadulterated sweetness with a sliver of comedy. And it's set at Christmas— perfect to get you in the festive mood! Reblogs appreciated because this isn't showing up in tags.
Word count: 6.5k
Warnings: food mention, drink mention, brief allusions to sex, Maxwell is ~stressed~.
Rating: PG-13
Masterlist in pinned! Requests open x
Maxwell Lord had his fair share of bad days. Things almost always went wrong in his line of work, but it was almost never his fault. He could always squander up an excuse or find someone else to blame. But today it was one thing after another.
He was late. He had a meeting with the board team first thing but as the Christmas traffic filled the bustling roads of DC, he had already missed the first twenty five minutes of the conference. He practically fell out of the black limo that drove him to work every morning, plodging his feet through the thick layers of snow. It was so deep this morning, the ice cold water seeped through his leather Armani shoes and even through his favourite cashmere socks. The ones with little purple polka dots. He shivered uncomfortably as the clumps of ice sat in between his toes, melting, and so every footstep made an obscene squelching noise. He didn't have the time to fuss around and change his shoes. The bottoms of his tailored pants were dripping. He bolted through the glass revolving doors of Black Gold Cooperative, trailing a pool of water behind him. His receptionist Anna, and his assistant Raquel, stood up abruptly, their eyes widening as they saw their boss in such a hurried frenzy.
"Mr Lord! You have your nine o’ clock meeting and it’s now nine twenty-” Raquel raised her hand and called for him, but he didn't bother to stop in his tracks.
"Yes Raquel, I know!" Maxwell yelled after her, already tapping his feet impatiently as he waited for the elevator. "Cmon, cmon…" he grumbled as it slowly made its way down from the 25th floor to the ground floor.
When Maxwell entered the board meeting, his cheeks were a rosy pink from the cold winter weather. His eyes were glazed and the waves in his dark blonde hair were falling out of place. He had styled it perfectly this morning, the same way he did it every morning. You had even helped him, brushing through his locks when he had hopped out the shower. But now he looked as though he had just run a marathon, breaking out in a cold sweat. He swore if he caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror, he'd have a heart attack. But surely, the day couldn't get any worse. Right? Maxwell had made it to the meeting, albeit late. At least he was there.
Wrong.
"I am so sorry." he scrambled, plopping his briefcase down on the table and slipping past the many occupied chairs. He slumped down in one eventually, pulling out in a notepad and pen. "Bad traffic," he huffed. "Can someone give me the lowdown?"
He eventually looked up to see his company. Twelve older ladies in pink button down dresses and white frilly aprons, their hair tied back into matching low buns. Maxwell froze up, his gaze wandering from woman to woman as it slowly began to sink in.
"Mr Lord…" the woman at the head of the table said cautiously. She looked just as baffled. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I've worked for Black Gold Cooperative for five years now but never did I expect to see you in person."
Maxwell looked back at the other girls who were all nodding in agreement, beaming with excitement. "Uh." He didn't know what to say, but instead, he placed his pen and notepad back into the inside of his suit jacket pocket and stood up. "I think- I think I'm in the wrong meeting." he announced.
"We are the body of staff who are responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of your company sir. We spend ten hours a day washing and tidying every surface, every inch of this building. We take great care of it." one of the ladies spoke up and Maxwell became even more confused. Although clearly, on a day like this, it didn't take much to confuse him.
"The cleaning staff have meetings in here?" He wondered out loud, immediately regretting the words as soon as they left his lips. He didn't want to come off as rude. "I mean, I'm your employer. Pft, of course I know that you have meetings. And I'm glad you do so. It's good to take direction!" he was doing that motivational voice he used on television, making the 60 year old cleaners swoon with admiration. "I- I should get going but. Uh, yes. Lovely to meet you all."
"Mr Lord!" A lady with ebony hair and crinkles by her eyes stood up, handing Maxwell his briefcase. He nodded appreciatvely and walked to the door where her hand met his arm and stopped him in his tracks. "Could I get your autograph, please? I'm just a huge fan of your infomercials."
Maxwell checked the time on his wristwatch. Almost half an hour late, but he couldn't deny one of his cleaners. Once upon a time he wouldn't have bothered giving them a second glance yet he leaned over the table and signed his name on a sticky note. "What's your name?" he asked.
"Pamela," she beamed brightly.
"Nice to meet you Pamela, have a good day." he pat her shoulder and went open the door when another voice yelled his name.
"Mr Lord!" a woman with white hair stood up, a grin pinned on her face. "I'm Doris," she introduced confidently, but her voice was shaky with her old age. "I remember when your father was on the television. I used to clean for him too, you know? Oh, he was such a lovely gentleman. And you look more and more like him every day. Such a handsome man, you are."
Maxwell stiffened up, his hand grabbing the door handle so hard he was sure his knuckles might've turned white. "Oh," was the only thing that could really leave his lips. He wanted to leave.
"Mr Lord, your father I mean-, every Christmas he'd give little old me a kiss," she recalled, her heart blooming at the memory. "Of course I wasn't old then. I was young. And beautiful."
Maxwell exhaled and nodded his head, unsure of really what to say or where this conversation was going. All he could think about was the board meeting that he was already extremely late for. Maxwell pushed down on the door handle and Doris let out a long dramatic sigh, making Maxwell pause once again to hear what she had to say. "I haven't been kissed like that, by a man as attractive as your father, in years." she sighed longingly, fluttering her eyelashes.
That was when Maxwell realised. He sighed quietly, his eyes scanning the room. All the cleaners were staring at him, expecting him to make his move on poor old Doris. Then, he turned back to Doris and offered her that familiar Hollywood smile. The same smile that the whole world was used to seeing on five o'clock television. He took her hand and brushed a soft kiss over her wrinkled knuckles before gently dropping her hand again. There was no denying the pink blush that coloured her cheeks. The action earned a few squeaks and squeals around the room and while they were all babbling with excitement about what they'd just witnessed happen to their friend Doris, Maxwell took the opportunity to run.
He did finally make it to the meeting. He squeezed past his business associates, trying to locate his chair around the table. In the process, he knocked over a cup of coffee. It spilled all over Maxwell, and one of his colleagues. Maxwell's pale blue suit jacket was now stained with brown espresso, and he knew it would take more than just a few washes to get the stain out. He muttered a small 'sorry' before finding his seat and taking out his notepad and pen. Just as he finished writing the date at the top of his piece of paper, the director of the meeting called it quits and everyone flustered out of the room.
All this had happened and it was only ten in the morning.
Luckily, that was the only meeting of the day and he knew he was going to be spending the rest of the day in his office doing paperwork. That was easy enough. Maxwell padded into his enormous office which took up the entirety of the top floor at Black Gold Cooperative headquarters. He shut the double doors, finding peace in knowing that there was no need for anyone to come in and distract him. Maxwell tugged off his blazer and hung it on the back of a chair. He unclipped his suspenders that held his tailored pants up, and threw them to one side, along with his shoes and soaked socks. He padded into the closet at the back of his office and shuffled out of his pants, changing into some grey sweatpants.
He smiled, beginning to feel warm again. Wearing the sweatpants reminded him of you and it made him feel like he was at home. He remembered a few weeks into your relationship; your surprise when you caught a glimpse of his wardrobe. Not a single piece of casual wear in sight. You wondered if Maxwell Lord had ever known the comfort of sweatpants and so, that afternoon, you went out and bought him a pair. They changed his life. Maxwell would always favour his suits, that's just who he was, but he would love to wear the sweats when he wanted to lounge about in the house.
He was tired. His hair was still damp, the dark blonde waves curling at the nape of his neck and falling out of place every time he tried to remedy it. He still smelled vaguely of espresso, and was still haunted by the interaction of Doris the cleaner. He pursed his lips together into a thin line at the memory of kissing her hand.
Maxwell walked over to his desk and sunk into his chair, holding his head in his hands. Finally some peace.
Until there was a loud knock at the door. Maxwell swung his head back and groaned. "Come in!" he shouted, quickly composing himself for whoever wished to see him. It was his blonde assistant, Raquel.
"Hi sir!" she beamed, waving her free hand and placing a glossy catalogue on the table.
"Raquel." Maxwell nodded politely, sitting up and looking at the catalogue she had positioned before him.
"For the Christmas gala," she explained, flicking open the pages and pointing out different things. She'd carefully highlighted and labelled everything she wanted to show him, making it easier for his conveience. "I was thinking huge black and gold balloons with the company name on. Gold confetti. Banners and streamers hanging from every corner. A buffet, and every table cloth will also have the company's name on, printed in small, glitter ink." Her loud and chatty voice was giving Maxwell a headache.
"Yeah, balloons with Black Gold Cooperative written on really scream ‘Have a Very Merry Capitalist Christmas’." he sighed, slowly looking up at her. She blinked a few times. "Well Raquel?" he quizzed, growing irritable. It wasn't her fault, it's just everything was beginning to build up. She blinked again, dumbfounded by his comment. "Is that what Christmas is about to you?"
"W-what do you mean?" she asked nervously, removing her hand from the catalogue and taking a step back from his desk.
"What about red and green balloons? We'll have a Christmas tree in the ballroom. We could even make it family friendly and hire a Santa Claus for the kids to meet." Maxwell suggested. "And no weird company merchandise."
Raquel blinked, not saying a word. It had never really dawned on Maxwell how much you had changed him. His staff realised practically instantly— from the moment he came into work after the first time you had spent the night, it was like he was a changed man. He held the door open for people, he wished people a good morning. And as your relationship with him developed, you opened up a brand new side to him. He became more affectionate and caring for those around him, a feeling he had shut off from the world for his entire life.
He had never cared for Christmas, never cared as much to host a Christmas gala either. His father died during the festive season and it hadn't been the same without him. His mother didn't do much to celebrate. Maxwell had everything he always wanted; all the new toys and fanciest designer clothes. But it meant nothing to him without his father. Christmas meant nothing to him without love. That's why it all changed when he met you. You finally brought love back into his life, and everything felt whole again. You completed him. You taught him how to enjoy events and celebrate. You taught him happiness but most importantly, you taught a cold and broken man how to love and be loved in return.
The Christmas gala was your idea. One night, around a month ago, you and Maxwell were both lying in bed together. Maxwell had expressed to you that he wanted to do something special for his staff at work. Over the past few years since he had met you, he'd slowly been softening with the people around him. Christmas time was no different and his staff were always jolly to receive a hefty bonus from him. But they didn't expect anything more.
You came up with the idea of a gala, and Maxwell couldn't help but smirk a little when you mentioned it. He knew that your suggestion was deeply rooted into the fact you had always wanted to attend a gala, wear a beautiful dress and have your hair and makeup done. More importantly, you wanted to go to a gala with Maxwell and have him by your side looking as handsome as ever. The prospect excited you so much. With Maxwell, you knew that you wanted for nothing. That he could give you anything and everything. But you would never ask. You wanted him to know that for as long as he was with you, you had everything you needed.
Normally for Maxwell, gala’s were a place for adults only. Bars that served the best alcohol and a place where men who were just as rich as him would meet and schmooze. Before you, gala’s were a fine opportunity for Maxwell to meet a lady and take her home. That's all he enjoyed them for. But you had taught Maxwell that there was more to life than wealth, women and good champagne. He was so sure you'd love the idea of turning the gala into a family friendly party, and he was certain that his employees (the likes of the cleaning staff, for example) would love the ability to bring their families to such a high class event.
"Don't worry Raquel," Maxwell smiled. "Forget about the party planning for now. I know someone who would love to organise the Christmas gala." Today was tough, but everytime he thought about you, he couldn't wipe the grin from his face. He was one lovesick puppy. "Could you bring me a coffee?"
Raquel nodded and picked the catalogue back up, padding out his office without saying another word.
At around twelve o’clock, Maxwell was about to take his lunch break- but the phone on his desk began to ring. "Maxwell Lord." he introduced himself, holding the phone to his ear. It was the CEO of Powergrid Electrics, an electrical company in Rome. Rude and unhinged, the boss man reminded Maxwell of a version of himself that he had left in the past.
Maxwell had almost sealed an amazing deal with the company, but it had seemed that the CEO hadn't received a vital part of the contract. Trying to regulate the anger that was building up inside of him, Maxwell shakily put the phone back on the hook and called his second assistant, Emmerson, into his office.
"It's impossible," Maxwell furrowed his eyebrows together in bewilderment, after explaining the situation. He scrambled amongst the papers that were stacked mountain high on his desk. "I put it in the envelope and had Raquel send it off to Rome last week. I remember… I know I didn't forget. I never forget." he said, trying to sound as composed and confident as possible. There was no mistake in the worried little warble in his voice, though.
Emmerson, Maxwell's second assistant, wasn't sure if he was going to regret his next move. "Sir," his voice was timid and small. Maxwell's eyes snapped up to meet Emmerson's and Emmerson felt his heart rate increase rapidly. Emmerson reached over Maxwell's desk, picking up a folded piece of paper with a sticky note on top that read 'For Raquel: give to Rome'. "Is it possible that this is the missing part of the contract? That maybe, you might have just, forgotten to give it to Raquel?" he said slowly, trying to beat around the bush as much as possible.
Maxwell slowly reached over to the slip of paper, unravelling it like he was scared to see what the contents would reveal. He sighed out loud when he realised he had, in fact, forgotten to give Raquel the document, and there was no one to blame but himself. He ran his fingers through his hair, contemplating what to do next. He didn't want to believe he was out of options. He wasn't one to give up, especially when it came to the sanctity of his business.
"I need you to go to Rome." He said immediately and Emmerson's jaw dropped.
"I- I'm sorry?" Emmerson quizzed, confused and still slightly afraid of how impulsive Maxwell was being. "With all due respect, can't you just call Rome and ask for an extension on the deadline?"
Maxwell scoffed. "Call Rome? I can't just call a country," Emmerson was about to interject to explain that wasn't exactly what he meant but Maxwell didn't allow it. There was something about the way Maxwell's brain worked… he didn't get where he was today from taking the advice of his assistants. "You will go to Rome and give Powergrid Electrics the remaining part of the contract yourself. I trust you."
"But sir-" Emmerson raised a shaky hand.
"Oh, I see, you're worried about accomodation," Maxwell assumed, chuckling lightly. "I'll get you a five star hotel and give you a spending allowance of three hundred euros a day, how does that sound? No need to fret. Hurry along now."
"Mr Lord," Emmerson deadpanned finally, causing Maxwell to look up at his assistant in bewilderment. Emmerson was still afraid of his boss, of course, but he knew he had to stand his ground. "I can't go to Italy."
There were a few beats of silence. "What?" Maxwell questioned. "Don't be ridiculous. It's a free trip of a lifetime. You have an easy job to do. You can spend the rest of the day souvenir shopping. I don't care. Just get the contract delivered." He ordered.
"No." Emmerson put his foot down.
"No?" Maxwell repeated, raising his eyebrows like he was due an explanation.
"Mr Lord, I didn't want to say anything because it seems… you've had a lot going on today. But my girlfriend, Katherine, she's due our baby. See, we're having a son. I'm not sure if you knew… I mean, you probably didn't know. But, I promised Katie- uh, Katherine, that I'd meet her at the hospital after my shift. I wish I could help you sir, I really do. But I love my girlfriend and I've been waiting nine months to meet our son so if you please-"
The old Maxwell Lord would've burned red with rage, firing poor Emmerson on the spot, right then and there. How dare he question Maxwell. How dare he deny Maxwell. How dare he choose his love life, his family over his job. But right now, Maxwell couldn't help the small smile creep upon his lips. He was overjoyed, just wishing Emmerson had told him of the amazing news before now.
"Congratulations," Maxwell said, his voice quiet but his eyes gleaming. "On the addition of your family. That's really great."
Emmerson stood as still as ever, blinking a few times. He waited for Maxwell to snap and finally lose it. He was waiting to get the sack. But nothing. "Uh, thank you, sir." Emmerson replied hesitantly, like he wasn't sure what to expect from Maxwell.
The following few moments of silence, Maxwell spent thinking about you. He thought about how radiant you glowed this morning and how he wished he didn't have to leave your side. You were the love of his life and quite frankly, since meeting you, he understood the priority of choosing love over wealth. He finally had someone he could hold onto during the dead of night, someone to ramble to about his feelings, someone he could kiss and love and cherish forever.
Maxwell Lord finally loved something more than his business and that was you. Emmerson coughed awkwardly, breaking the silence and Maxwell flicked his wrist up, checking the time on his gold Rolex. It was almost twelve thirty.
"Why are you still here?" Maxwell grinned, swinging his hand to point a finger towards the door. "Go! You have a son to meet!"
"Sir, I don't finish until five o’ clock." Emmerson replied, stiffening up.
"No no no! Go home, go see your girlfriend, please." Maxwell stood up and shook his assistants hand. "I have no doubt you'll be an amazing father," he said genuinely. "And I'll have Y/N send over some flowers and a donation after the birth."
"You- you're really letting me off work early?" Emmerson beamed and Maxwell nodded his head enthusiastically. "Oh how can I ever thank you?"
"I hear Maxwell is a popular choice of name for baby boys right now," the CEO charmed and Emmerson let out a small but genuine laugh. "Now go! Tell Katherine I send my love."
"I will do, thank you sir." Emmerson grinned, grabbing his jacket from the coat rack and merrily running out of the office.
Maxwell sunk into the plushness of his leather chair, still unable to escape the smile that played on his lips. He imagined the possibility of you, the love of his life, carrying his child. He thought about how beautiful you would look, how you'd glow, and how he'd simply give up everything to take care of you. Make sure you had everything you needed during your pregnancy. He imagined building the nursery with you and picking out some books on parenting, studying with you so he could ensure that he'd be the best father ever. He'd never wanted kids. In fact he hated the idea of having little mini Maxwell’s running around and causing fuss and torment, but the idea of you raising them alongside him made his heart flutter. He was certain of the unconditional love you’d have for them. Similar to the unconditional love he had for you.
His eyes darted back to the unsent report on his desk and he sighed. Guess I have to call Rome after all. He thought.
Maxwell was counting the minutes until he could go home and see you. He wanted nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with you, the fire on, and watch one of those cheesy Christmas movies you liked so much. He heard the doors to his office open, frustration racing through him as he prepared himself for the next bout of 'things going wrong'. He'd normally yell at someone if they entered his office without knocking but he was so tired. So so tired.
When he saw you, he swore his heart stopped. There you were, his blessing in disguise. His angel. You were wearing your red winter coat and knee high brown boots, and you plopped your purse and a bag on one of the many side tables in his office. You took off your gloves and pulled off your wooly bobble hat, stuffing them lazily in your pocket and offered him a happy smile. He scrambled to his feet, not taking his eyes off you for a second and ran up to you, sweeping you off your feet and spinning you around. You squealed, grabbing onto him for your life and he put you down, pulling you into a tight warm hug.
"You're freezing cold." he grimaced, pulling your hands into the pockets of his grey sweatpants in hope they'd warm up.
"It's snowing again." you whispered happily, smiling into his neck. He was delighted, having you in his arms and being able to smell the familiarity of your shampoo and perfume. He knew for sure now, he was going to be okay.
"I can see." he replied, moving one of his hands up to your face and padding out the pearly snowdrops that were balanced in your hair. "I am so glad to see you sweetheart." he hummed, sending vibrations through your body. You felt your heart blossom in your chest at his sentiment.
"I told you I was coming this morning," you giggled, eventually pulling away from him and taking your arms out of his pockets. You cupped his face and ran your fingers through his dark blonde hair, fixing it as best as you could. "I brought us lunch." you told him, fishing into the bag and bringing out boxes of pastries and cakes. "From that bakery we like."
Maxwell gasped and you looked up at him confused. "Baby, I completely forgot you were coming."
"I hate to say Max but you do look a little disheveled," you folded your arms across your chest and checked out your boyfriend's appearance. "What's with the sweats and… where is your tie and suspenders?" Your eyes met his feet on the floor and they widened almost comically. "Max! Where are your socks and shoes?"
He sighed, shaking his head. "Long story." he took your hand and pulled you over to the couch, pulling you onto his lap. You wrapped your arms around him and he placed a hand on your thigh, pushing under your skirt and rubbing comforting circles into your skin.
"Tell me everything." you replied and he looked up at you with nothing but adoration in his brown eyes.
"Traffic jam on the way to work because of the snowstorm last night, and the streets were so busy with it being so close to Christmas. We couldn't get parked out front so I had to get out of the car and walk through five inches of snow to get into work. I was already late for my meeting. Soaking wet and uncomfortable," you let him ramble on, watching intently at the way his expression would change as he recalled different events in his day. You began to play with his hair, seeing that he was getting flustered at the memory of it all. "I was late for the meeting, I ended up in a whole different meeting. I didn't know the cleaners in this building even had meetings!"
"The cleaners?" you chuckled, shaking your head in disbelief. "You sat in on a meeting with the cleaners?" Maxwell nodded sollemnley and you nudged him playfully. "I love that."
"Well, I didn't. They're all lovely women. But this one cleaner, Doris…" he fumbled around with his fingers. "I ended up kissing her." you pulled away quickly, knotting your eyebrows together. "No! No not like that," Maxwell said quickly, pulling you back onto his lap and wrapping his arm around you. "She's like 90, said she used to work for my father and every Christmas he'd give her a kiss. She'd start talking about how she's never had a kiss from someone as handsome as my father in years. So I gave her a polite one, on her hand. And baby, I ran. As fast as I could, I had to get outta there."
You smiled. "Max, you probably made her day. That was really sweet of you."
He brushed off your comment, taking a dramatic exhale and continuing his story. "Finally got to the meeting, spilled coffee over myself and one of my associates. But by the time I had finally settled, the meeting was over. So I went back to my office and changed out of my wet, cold, coffee stained clothes and sat down. Raquel came in. She was planning the Christmas gala but it all sounded so… corporate. Not what Christmas is about at all," he explained and you nodded in agreement. "Anyways I suggested that we change the gala this year so it's family friendly. In the spirit of Christmas."
"Oh Max!" you beamed, snuggling into his chest. He smiled to himself proudly, knowing that he had made you happy.
"You good with that?" he chuckled, running his fingers through your hair.
"Yes!" you squeaked, pushing yourself back up and giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "I have so many ideas."
"That's great honey," he laughed. "Because I told Raquel to forget about the gala. I figured you could plan it. You're great at stuff like that, and I know how much it means to you. I want the gala to be perfect for my staff and their families, and I trust you more than anyone else in the world."
"I can't wait," you smiled merrily, already weighing up the different ideas you had in your head. "Was Raquel okay with you taking the party planning duty away from her?"
"I think so," Maxwell replied. "She has a lot on her plate, being my assistant and all. It's a busy time of year and I think she'd appreciate having less to do."
"Well, it really does sound like you've had an eventful morning."
"Oh, I'm not finished," Maxwell grimaced and you braved yourself for the impending chaos. "Rome called and told me that the CEO of Powergrid Electrics only received half of the binding contract. So I was going to send Emmerson to Rome because I needed that contract in the hands of the CEO by midnight tonight. But Emmerson told me he couldn't. His girlfriend is having his baby today. A little boy. So I let him go home early."
"Emmerson's going to be a father?" you gasped and Maxwell nodded. "That's so wonderful! I should send him some flowers."
"I already told Emmerson you would." Maxwell grinned.
"Oh a baby boy too! How lovely. We have to go meet the baby when he's born. Please please please." you whined, fluttering your eyelashes.
"Okay darling." Maxwell pressed a kiss into your cheek.
You stood up and brought the bag over to the couch, taking out the little boxes and handing them to Maxwell. You opened them up and started to eat, as you told him how your morning had gone.
"After you went to work, I cleared up and did the dishes that you had left from breakfast. Max, I was soooo tired from last night," you blushed and his mouth twisted into a proud smile. "So I went back to bed and slept for another hour. Then I got up and took a bubble bath. Oh!" you scrambled around in your purse, taking out a fresh Polaroid and showed him it. It was a photograph of his white long haired cat, Lady, with bubbles balancing on her head. "She kept me company while I was in the bath." you smiled and Maxwell laughed.
"She looks so funny with the bubbles on her head." Maxwell took the Polaroid from your fingers and admired the cat. He was never particularly fond about animals, or having pets, but you loved them. In the first year of your relationship, Maxwell asked what you wanted for your birthday. As always, you told him that you didn't want anything materialistic, that he was all you needed. But you did tell him about an animal charity that you were so passionate about. He remembered leaving you at home and telling you that he was simply 'heading out'. He had planned on visiting the charity and making a donation in your name, as part of your birthday present. But he didn't leave the shelter empty handed.
A white fluffy cat with long whiskers and big blue eyes. Her eyes reminded him of sapphires. She mewled and padded towards him, her tail waving happily as she rubbed her cheek on his leg, circling around him. "Ah, she's a darling," the lady who was showing Maxwell around told him. "Unfortunately, she's been here with us longer than any of the other cats. She's not that good around people. But I must admit, she likes you a lot. In fact, I've never seen her so confident around another person before."
Maxwell dropped to his knees and tickled her head. She began purring erratically, rubbing her face along the edges of the rings on his fingers. "Nobody wants her?" Maxwell asked, not taking his eyes from the happy kitty. He picked her up, ignoring the white cat hair that malted onto his suit. She rubbed her soft face against his cheek and sniffed his cologne.
"No." the lady replied sadly. Maxwell smiled.
"I'll take her."
And that night, Maxwell came home with a new addition to the family. You were overjoyed, but no one was happier than little Lady Lord who had found her fur-ever home.
He placed the Polaroid on one of the side tables, promising you he would find a frame for it. "How was your bath darling?" he cooed, pressing his lips along your jaw.
You giggled, nuzzling your head into his shoulder. "Relaxing, lit some candles, done a little reading. After my bath I got dressed and tidied up the bedroom. I turned on the radio and they were playing Christmas songs. Oh! WHAM have just brought out a new one, it's really good. Hmm, me and Lady played for a little while and she let me brush her hair. Jeeves offered to drive me to the bakery but I really wanted to walk in the snow. Get some fresh air. And now I'm here! With you!"
It was safe to say Maxwell's morning was a lot more chaotic, but he was comforted knowing that you had been relaxed while he was going through all the antics.
"Your morning sounded amazing, darling." he kissed your forehead and you felt butterflies erupt in your stomach.
You let his lips brush over your skin, fall down to your nose, and eventually take place on your own lips as he leaned his forehead against yours. You giggled, his hair falling out of place again slightly and tickling you as he kissed you. You pulled him closer, encouraging him to deepen the kiss and laced your fingers in his hair. He pulled away to catch his breath but peppered small yet passionate kisses along your jaw and down your neck.
“You’re being so affectionate,” you smiled, eyes sparkling with love.
“What can I say? I like to kiss you.” Maxwell exhorted and leaned in again, pressing another kiss into your lips. This time he swiped his tongue along the plumpness of your bottom lip, begging for entry. You pulled off him and he moaned. “Whaaat?” He pouted playfully and you rolled your eyes, earnestly laughing at how cute your boyfriend was.
“We shouldn’t do this at work,” you giggled.
“Baby we’ve done a lot worse than just kissing on this sofa, if you remember.” Maxwell charmed and you felt your cheeks heat up as you nodded slowly.
"The highlight of my day though, is being here, with you." you promised.
"Yeah," Maxwell hummed. "Me too."
"I'm proud of you." you said out of the blue, putting your sandwich down and wiping your mouth. Maxwell looked at you, confused. "You've had a bad morning. But you acted so selflessly today. Everything from signing autographs in your office to kissing that old maids hand, giving Raquel less work to do and letting Emmerson be with his girlfriend. You… you surprise me everyday Max. And I fall in love with you more and more everyday."
"I remember when we first met… I would've never dreamed of doing any of this." Maxwell admitted sheepishly.
"I know, I remember," you recalled. "I fell in love with the man you were then, but I somehow think I love you even more now."
And with that, Maxwell pulled you into a kiss. The curve of his nose nudged against yours and his hands pulled you into his lap, knocking the boxes of food onto the floor as you straddled him. "I love you so much." he announced.
Maxwell rarely said I love you's. But that was okay because you knew he loved you from his actions. You knew he loved you from the small kisses he'd give you on a morning, and the way he'd pull you into a hug every evening after work. You knew he loved you from the way he'd shelter you from paparazzi and squeeze your hand tight whenever you felt overwhelmed. Actions spoke louder than words. But coming from Maxwell Lord, hearing those three words struck you like a bolt of lightning. They were just words, but they meant everything to you.
He meant everything to you.

Under the Lanterns
Notes:Ahahaha excuse me for spamming in your inbox again, but Genshin lantern rite had made me a bit nostalgic, so my brain just went straight to creepy hours to cope. Too lazy to write fics and just want to spam Lena’s inbox with creep ideas? More than likely!
Tw Childe being a jerk, implied minor character death i guess?? Just to be on the safe side.
You are a clerk at the Liyue branch of the Northland bank. Secretly you even hate the fact that you are working for their cause since you are not from Snezhnaya, but this job pays well and you need the mora. You did swear an oath to the Tsarista, but that is about it, you are not some loyal follower of the archon who would go out of your way just to please her. Therefore you do not regard the harbingers as national heroes like most of your colleagues.
Then there’s Master Tartaglia, whenever he comes by the northland bank he would always have the ladie’s attention. As someone so handsome and powerful that is to be expected, what can Childe say he is just too good. And then there’s you, a Liyue girl who treats him like any other. Sure he is your supervisor you would fetch him files per request, but never fangirling over him like the others.
How you kept a monotone voice and took his flirtatious words in stride makes him...baffled, and interested, to say the least. Your colleges are somewhat jealous that master Tartaglia seems to always make sure to give you some extra attention every visit, but you couldn’t care less and just identified that as a flirt being a flirt.
He thought it was just a harmless little fling too. How does one get you to open up?
Then, one day he got curious about the lantern festival. How you seem to be looking forward to it, judging by how you would take a different route on your way home to look at the lanterns.
“Master Childe. How can I help you today?” You smiled at him, a professional one though, that would need to be changed.
“Since you are local here, how about you enlighten me on this lantern festival?”
Speaking of something you have been anticipating is definitely a way to get you to drop that cold act. Your eyes lit up, just like the lanterns in recent evenings when you start to explain how you would eat special dishes, make lanterns, and guess the riddles in the lanterns. Childe might have just asked just to loosen you up, but when he learns how it used to be considered as one of the two days Liyue maidens is free to roam the streets and would usually confess their love. (considering Liyue is a lot less restrictive to Women compared to real medieval China, I’ll say it was more of a tradition)
Well, that sounds sparked Childe’s interest. You seem to be looking forward to it, do you have someone in mind already?
“You want me to accompany you to the rite Sir? I must apologize, but I have plans for that night already. One of my coworkers would love to be of service, I’m sure.”
After bidding him good day, you just went back to your duties thinking nothing of that exchange. Everything seems to be normal, you got dressed up and went on a search for the one you love. You know what they like, and you want to run into them without prior arrangement.
“Master Childe! Enjoying yourself?”
“The warm lights remind me of a festival in my country. Maybe you’ll like to see it sometimes?”
Gosh, does he ever stop with the suggestive words? You laughed it off, not wanting to think deeply into those things.
You continue to search for your love, but you cannot even catch a glimpse of them beside their favorite food stall. And with Childe trailing behind you like a lost puppy, insisting that you be his guide, you are growing more and more frustrated every minute.
“You got anything to say to me tonight, (y/n)? You said you have plans, but I see no date.”
“The one I’m looking for seems to have gone MIA.” Could it be possible that they had noticed your intentions and decided to stay in?
Oh, of course they have. Or he’ll have to punish his subordinates for being inefficient, right?
It was when he pushed you against a pillar against a pillar, just when you wanted to slip into the crowd to get away, Childe whisper to you how he got a confession for you tonight. He knows you are just working for the Fatui for the mora, and he can offer you so much more than that clerk salary.
“How about you come and work for me? Not as one of my soldiers of course, you won’t have to fight.” Of course, that tough attitude has to be replaced by a softer, more submissive one. But the two of you can work on that later.
You look so cute in this dress, how it puts your jewels on display. It’s a shame the one you like cannot bask in your beauty. But hey, that’s not his problem.
“Or you would like to be discharged from the Fatui?”
(Hhhh this is such a mess I’m trying destroy writer’s block with a claymore😅😅😅)
NEVER APOLOGIZE BB I love dis
!!!!!!
He's such a manipulative egotistical bastard and how dare he use that to make me attracted to him

Class
A/N: I don’t know what this is. I honestly do not know what this is. I feel like I’m getting worse with my writing.
REQUEST: Hello there! Can I request a young Sirius Black x reader oneshot? I don't have a specific plot in mind, but I want it with lots of fluff 😂 thank you for your time ♥️
XX
“Look at me.” he mumbled quietly, narrowing his eyes at the girl, who was sitting in the far left row. His arms were on the desk, his chin on top as one of his curls fell right in the middle of his forehead. He blew it out of the way but it continued to fall exactly at the same spot. He quickly gave up on the small distraction and focused back on the girl in front. “Look. At. Me.” he spoke slowly and quietly, ignoring James’ stifled laugh beside him.
James kept smiling, trying to write down the notes Professor Flitwick wrote on the blackboard but his ears kept being so focused on the googly Sirius that he could barely stay silent. He just had to. James, who he was, just had to.
He looked up at you, whose sole mission was copying Flitwick's notes, not even noticing him or the boy next to him. “Pssst!” he whispered to you. “Psst. (y/l/n)!” he tried to whisper louder
“What are you doing?” Sirius whispered to James, who only sent him a wink in return.
You looked up from your notes and across the class, searching for the source of the sound. As you could see two boys looking your way, you furrowed your eyebrows and whispered back. “What?”
“Sirius wants you to look at him.” he smiled and tilted his head to the side where Sirius sat.
He was grinning at you as your cheeks burnt fire. You sent him a shy smile, letting your eyes linger on his blazing grey eyes. Sirius smiled wider, showing his pearly white teeth as he mouthed: “Pretend everything’s normal.”
“What?!”
Sirius looked around and saw the professor sitting behind his desk, grading papers. He turned to James and James grinned. “Watch my six.” said Sirius as James only winked in return.
Sirius slowly slid under his desk and waited. James tapped lightly on the desk and Sirius jumped behind another desk.
You watched completely shook. No, he is not.
Oh, but he is.
James tapped one more time and Sirius rolled behind another desk. Flitwick raised his head, James tapped twice, Sirius hid behind under the desk, rock-solid. Flitwick shook his head and buried it back into his papers.
You were baffled. How could Flitwick not see this? James tapped, Sirius jumped behind the desk in your row but two desks behind. He slid under the first one and quickly after another until he was behind you and your friend. He put his arms on your knees and looked up. “Hey.” he whispered and you smiled amused.
“Hey.” you whispered back.
“Whatcha doing?” he leaned his head on one of his arms and watched you with his grey eyes that reflected the child in him perfectly.
“I’m supposed to be writing notes but some Gryffindor decided to distract me.” “Must be a handsome Gryffindor to take your attention,”
“Quite an egoist, I’d say.”
“I’d say otherwise.” he winked, stretching his head if Flitwick suspected anything. He glanced back up at you and put his arms over your knees, his chin on top. “You’re pretty.” he said and you rolled your eyes.
“I bet you say that-”
“No.” he cut you off before you could finish. “You’re different.” he said. “Can I take you on a date?”
“We have a tes-”
“Yes?”
“I told-”
“So it’s a yes?”
“Sir-”
“I’d say that’s a yes.” he continued to cut you off as you punched his shoulder lightly and he curved a smile. “You can put your hair in a braid-like you usually do- but it’s really pretty if it’s a bit messed up. I think you look adorable in a messy braid.” he said and you smiled. “And your eyes are really pretty when you don’t put any makeup on. It outlines the colour- and it’s sunny on Friday so I’ll get to see it on the sun, which until now I haven’t had the chance to see it. I think they are beautiful on the sun- just as they are now.” he gazed deep in your eyes as your cheeks continued to burn. “And I like to see you blush. It’s so wonderful seeing you blush- especially if it’s me who causes it.” he then took your hands and looked up at you with his round eyes. “Will you go on a date with me?” he asked and waited patiently this time.
You smiled and nodded with your head. “I’d love to go on a date with you.” “Really?” his eyes lit up and you continued to nod, smiling.
“How could I say no after what you said?”
“Charming, aren’t I?”
“Trouble, I’d say.” you raised your eyebrow as he chuckled.
He kissed your knuckles lightly, letting his lips brush it softly. He looked up with his flaming eyes and curved another smirk. “Till Friday then, Miss (y/l/n).”
“Till Friday, then” you let your fingers hold on to his for a little while. They were soft as silk as if they haven’t worked a day in their life. His fingers were long and intertwining around yours. He sent a nod to James as James glanced at Flitwick. James’ smile dropped and he turned forward.
“Shit.” Sirius mumbled.
“Where is your seatmate, Mister Potter?”
“Seatmate?” James looked up, playing daft. “I’ve been sitting alone all year.” he lied.
“Now, Mister Potter, we both know you cannot even be alone in detention without your classmate, let alone sit without him.” Flitwick started to walk forward as Sirius hid behind you, crawling around the desk yet still holding your hand. “Where is he?”
“Who?”
“Mr. Black..”
“Black? Black?” James repeated, wondering. “Doesn’t ring a bell.”
“Potter?” Flitwick warned. “If you don’t want points being taken from your house, I’d say you tell me now or suffer the consequences.”
“Alright. Alright. Sirius was feeling sick so he stormed out of class. You were so busy grading papers that you didn’t notice and I didn’t want to say anything.” he spoke calmly and if it wasn’t for the student sitting behind James, who kept glancing at your desk, Flitwick would have believed him.
Unfortunately, today was not a lucky day for the Marauder duo.
“Can’t believe I’m going to do this.” you mumbled, earning a confused look from Sirius behind you. You drew out your wand, pointed at the far corner near Flitwicks desk, and whispered. “Periculum.”
Two small flames shot from the tip of your wand and started exploding near Flitwick's desk. You hid your wand back inside and whispered to Sirius beside you.
“Go.” Sirius looked up at you in awe, his eyes glinting with something so bright as you smiled at him. “Go now when he’s distracted.” you pushed him and he kept watching you with the same eyes of adoration as he did before.
“I think I’m already in love with you.” he whispered, kissing your knuckles as you laughed.
“Go!” you nudged him again and he kissed your knuckles one last time before running around the desks and back to his seats.
Flitwick, as distracted as he was, quickly stopped the fireworks and turned back to James, seeing Sirius at the door, his hand on the knob as he closed it. Sirius’ eyes were confused, looking at the fireworks. “Did I miss something?” he asked as he continued to walk back to his desk.
“I told Professor Flitwick you got sick and then fireworks started going off.” James explained as Sirius shrugged and sat down.
“Celebrating my funeral already?” Sirius joked and the class laughed. “Sorry I didn’t excuse myself, professor. Just ate bad shrimp last evening.”
Flitwick was confused. What the bloody hell just happened? “I- uh-” he stumbled over his own words, looking back and forward. “That’s alright. Just go back to work.”

Hi! I was wondering if you could do Hawks with a support engineer s/o? Like they make his support items (not that he uses many) and upgrade his costume and he takes that time to flirt and make them flustered and it’s all really cute and fluffy
Ooookay, hear me out! I started this as some cute hcs but I decided I'd rather write a small fic since I somehow felt if would be better and ended up sticking with it in hopes you don't mind. I really hope it's what you wanted and that you like it 💕💞💕
Word count: 1.5k~
Keigo really didn't pay much attention to his support department; he knew he had one, of course, yet anything that needed to be tested by him would've had to be approved and re-approved by his higher ups, then passed to his side-kicks, and then, with luck it would reach him.
One day everything in his life changed as a request to test a new pair of goggles was placed on his desk by his secretary. His last pair has been smashed in a small battle with what seemed an insignificant villain so this seemed like the perfect time to test new prototypes.
He sighed, getting up from his chair in a stretch, scratching his stubble in wonder. Does he even know where his support department is?
You sighed, checking the tiny locators on your desk through a frown. The past few weeks have been exhausting to say at least.
When you first arrived at Hawks', The Hawks' Hero Agency as a junior support designer life seemed like it was heading into the right direction, yet as you reached your first month mark, the fact that there weren't any other junior designers started to make so much sense. Nobody payed any attention to the newbies, which was infuriating, degrading, unmotivating... but you had to fight through and not quit as the last ones did. It was a competitive business and you almost reached the bottom of the top, why settle there? So as your superior ignored you, you started learning more about your Hero's costume and it surprised you to note that he barely had any supporting items. Hell, even those goggles were... plain? He could do so much more! And as you made plans and started building, you made reports of all the prototypes created and jumped to send them to the higher-ups without even informing your seniors. It never hurts to try, right?
"Ah, finally, I've been running around in this building for-e-ver!" Someone said behind you, startling the living hell out of you which ended up with paperwork thrown everywhere.
You turned in shock already recognizing the voice behind you. Your eyes, wide as plates, landed on the man that you've been studying meticulously for the past few months.
Crimson feathers surrounded you as an amused smirk formed on his features. They started catching and picking up the papers surrounding your figure and gently placing them on the desk.
"Well, hello there~." He said, stepping in your office with curiosity, sharp eyes taking in his surroundings with just a glance then setting back on you.
"Mister Hawks." You cleared your throat and adjustes your apron.
"Mister? How old do you think I am, dove?" He said, shaking his head and laughing.
Ah, great, now I insulted my boss. You dryly thought.
"23, sir." he gasped, putting a hand on his chest.
"Sir?!?" before you could apologize, if there was something to apologize for, he continued in a dramatic way. "How could I allow an angel to call me sir? Please, it's just Hawks." He smiled and you squirmed in place.
You heard he was easy going, a very laid back yet lovely individual, but the way he called you any nickname in the book made your cheeks burn. You avoided his eyes, as they were intensely observing you, and cleared your throat.
"What do I owe the pleasure, sir—" you stopped yourself as he opened his mouth and lifted his finger to, you assumed, scold you "—Hawks...?"
"Oh? You don't know?" He looked around trying to find something, his face lighting up when spotting it. "I came to test a new pair of goggles, of course!"
It's then when you really took in the condition of your office. A disaster. The higher-ups sent Hawks there without even notifying you! You could've cleaned up! And they sent Hawks to test your goggles! THE OFFICE IS A MESS AND THE NUMBER 2 HERO IS IN IT TO TEST YOUR—!
"Oh, my god..." you muttered, not really believing it's really happening. It's the same reaction you had when you landed this job yet now it was turning into reality.
"Sorry to interrupt that train of thought—" he paused. "Excuse me, I don't even know your name. The audacity!"
"Oh! It's [L/N] [Y/N], sir."
"Hawks." His smile, which was heartwarming, never left his face.
"Hawks." You repeated, heart hammering in your chest even when being playfully scolded by your boss.
"So! What's a beautiful little feather like you doing in a place like this?" He inquired, obviously way too into the moment. Keigo could feel your beating heart from where he was standing and could clearly read your amazed expression. He guessed you were new in the department and gave himself a lecture about not coming here beforehand. With a sight like you he would've been in the support department every single day.
At the same time as he was taking you in, you needed to do something to keep yourself busy from his face, his voice and his words, so you turned around and started cleaning up a little bit. He called me a beautiful little what now? you panicked, dreading you'd bite your tongue or something when answering back.
"I work here." Nice one, [Y/N]. you cringed in place. But instantly deducted it would be better to maintain a professional environment instead of leading on what seemed to be just a flirty attitude.
"I can see that, yes." Keigo really tried to keep himself from chuckling. How could such an adorable being exist in his close proximity and he didn't notice? In any way, the blond felt bad for making you nervous so he deflected the situation. "About those goggles then!"
"Oh, yes!" You turned towards him with a smile, the excited sparkle in your eyes taking his breath away for a second. "First of all, I'm sorry about the mess, I wasn't informed you were coming—"
"Oh, we can change that from now on." He chimed in, earning a pause and a tilted head in confusion from you. "If you give me your number I could tell you whenever I'm coming! Easy!"
Have you ever had a moment where your brain stopped functioning for a whole minute? Exactly that happened.
"You could— ehem, you could tell your secretary to inform me before you arrive." You sheepishly said, still trying to deflect in the best way you could. He had such an ease to make you embarrassed, apart from the fact that you didn't know for sure if he was playing with you or not. Remain professional. Not like you could be as smooth as him anyway...
"Aww." He pouted.
"The goggles!" You jumped, trying to distract yourself from that sight.
As you settled them in front of him and started explaining every new detail about them, such as the new auto face-recognition they had implemented, voice command, personalized A.I. and more, he could only watch you in wonder. A few moments ago you were overwhelmed and flustered at his behaviour, which he wouldn't lie, he really enjoyed to see, but this confident person talking so passionately about their work made him beam. He took in your features, the complex words you threw at him settling in the backround of his mind as he noted he'd have to ask you what they meant just to have the excuse to get to hear you talk again and again. He didn't know why he loved the way you wrinkled your nose when you told him how hard it was to get access to the national database, he definitely didn't know why he savored the way your giggle made his good ol' heart skip a beat, he absolutely had zero idea why he was entranced by the way your lips curved in a smile...
Oh, he knew. Of course he knew.
"Could you add Spotify?" He found himself asking.
"... What?" You blinked stupidly at him.
"Or Netflix. Can you add Netflix?"
"I— What?" He snickered.
"Can you?"
"I mean, yes—" Did he brush off your whole work just to ask you to add Netflix?
"Great! Can you do it by tomorrow?"
"Y-yeah?"
"Awesome! How do you like your coffee?"
"Uhm, why?" You muttered.
"Because I will drop by and I'd like to treat you with coffee."
"Oh, that's nice. Thank you, it's—" you told him your favorite coffee in wonder as you watched him play with the goggles casually. Is this Hawks? A flirty airhead?
The goggles sounded absolutely amazing, no doubt of that, but he definitely needed an excuse to come by tomorrow, also giving him time to come with other excuses to return again and again after that. Something told him he had to see your beautiful face again and he was the type of man to trust his instincts.
"Okay, noted." He nodded to himself. "I'm sorry to say it's my time to patrol but at least I found a loop-hole to keep seeing you!"
How could one single man make you short-circuit twice in such little time span? Your absolutely baffled expression was worth a million bucks in Keigo's opinion and the adorable little lip pursing that followed was the cherry on top.
Yet what he didn't expect was for you to grin through your flustered expression.
"I'll add some actually good pick-up lines as a widget in the corner too, then." You shrugged.
And seeing Hawks baffled? Nothing else topped that.

Up In Smoke
A/N: Someone teach me how to do a read more on mobile, everytime I try it doesn’t work. This was supposed to be short.
Pairing: Reddie

Up In Smoke
If you asked Eddie Kaspbrak two years ago if he’d ever be caught dead at a college party, he’d straight up laugh in your face. Eddie and parties just didn’t get along. Too many people. Too much screaming. Too many germs. Not enough hand sanitizer in the world. So why exactly is he currently sitting cross legged in a much too large bean bag chair in some grunge kid’s basement? Turns out he’s a sucker for dark curls and deep eyes.
His professor dismissed class and he was out the door. His next class was all the way across campus and he had small legs. What started as a brisk walk quickly turned into a full jog as he made his way to his math class. He was so focused on being late he didn’t see the door to the cafe opening until it hit him. Literally hit him, sending him and his entire stack of books and folders to the pavement. He was so worried about his papers at first he didn’t even realize the taller boy watching him with a warm smile. After he collected his things he finally thought to give this person a piece of his mind for hitting him with the door like that. He glared upward, finding the most beautiful guy he’d seen on campus. His curls seemed to all have a mind of their own, and his eyes glistened like the ocean during sunrise. Perhaps he’d seen too many rom coms but this was the man of his dreams. And he’d just thoroughly embarrassed himself. He was in such a daze he couldn’t even remember why he’d wanted to yell at him in the first place. They both just stared in silence for a few moments before the taller boy spoke.
“I guess you could say you really fell for me huh short stop.” The other boy grinned down at Eddie. With a scoff Eddie rolled his eyes and quickly looked away. Maybe he was concealing a blush, maybe he wasn’t.
“Not even! You hit me, remember? If anything I fell BECAUSE of you.” He glanced to his watch, he was sure he’d be late by now.
“Then I thoroughly apologize, my good sir. Let me make it up to you.” His voice suddenly shifted to an absolutely horrible British accent, making Eddie’s nose scrunch up before he glanced back down.
“How would you do that exactly?” Eddie stood, already starting to walk at a slow pace. “I’ve got class right now so I’ve really gotta go.”
“My friend Bev is having a party this weekend. Come.” He didn’t move from his spot, raising his voice for Eddie to hear.
“You don’t even know my name.” Eddie didn’t turn around. He was too late to be worrying about a party he’d never go to. “I’m sorry, I really gotta go.”
“I’d like to know.”
He kept walking.
That was on Tuesday. By Wednesday he’d decided he was maybe too harsh on this mystery guy. He shouldn’t have just walked away like that. Thursday brought even more regret about never getting his name or an address to that party. Even though he’s never go of course. Friday was like a miracle. His roommate, and best friend, Bill came barreling into their dorm shouting about some hottie that invited him to a party. Named Beverly.
They’d been there about two minutes before Bill made an excuse to find Beverly. Leaving Eddie to fend for himself at a strangers house. It took longer than it should’ve to find the kitchen and procure a drink for himself before finding the basement. So here he was, trying desperately not to touch anything. Sitting in some bean bag chair. Silently hoping the discomfort didn’t show on his face. There weren’t nearly as many people downstairs as there was up, but that didn’t make him feel anymore relaxed.
There was a pool table in the corner of the basement with a decent crowd around it. One corner was a group of girls just giggling away at some jock, and the next was a small circle of people passing around a joint. Eddie had never thought about smoking in the past but he wasn’t necessarily against the idea. Just not at a party with a bunch of strangers. He sat there with his solo cup in his hands, and his hands in his lap. He just glanced around for a little while, before his eyes met his cup and stayed there. Why was he here? He didn’t even like parties. He hadn’t even seen his mystery guy yet. Maybe it was a different Bev? This sucked.
“Hey short stop. Fancy meeting you here.” A body plopped down on the bean bag chair next to him. He watched his drink slosh in the cup before settling once the chair stop moving. He looked up at the boy next to him. Met with a beautiful smile and those ocean eyes. Eddie couldn’t help but swallow.
“Uh, hi. My friend Bill got invited, so here I am.” Eddie rubbed his hand across the back of his neck, one of his ticks.
“Well, you got invited as well. Before you ran off on me.” The boy smiled but it didn’t seem as bright as before.
“Oh...yeah. I’m sorry about that, I was late for class. And I dropped my books. And I was just flustered.” He looked down to hide the obvious blush he felt across his face. He felt the other boy shift a little next to him. Looking up he was met with another bright smile and a small laugh.
“I didn’t mean to get you all flustered,” he looked to Eddie’s cheeks before continuing. “Well, maybe I did. It looks mighty cute on you I must say.”
The blush on Eddie’s cheeks burned brighter.
“What’s your name? You can’t keep flirting with me without telling me your name.”
“Feisty I see. Perfect. Richie Tozier, at your service sir.” He put on another terrible British accent before thrusting his hand out for Eddie to shake. “And, who might you be? M’lord.”
Eddie took his hand into his and laughed a little too loudly before answering.
“Eddie Kaspbrak. Nice to meet you Richie.” He hated the formality of his voice.
“So, Eds. What are ya doing all by yourself? This is a party. What happened to Bill?” Eddie sighed before looking down once again.
“I’m not really a party person. And Bill left me to go find Beverly or something. I’m fine here. People can uh, make me anxious.” Everything suddenly felt too quiet as Richie sat there with nothing to say. Eddie was about to apologize for his weirdness when Richie stood up.
“Then let’s go. I know a place that’s quiet. No people. And I’ve got a little weed too.” He reached out his hand for the smaller boy. Eddie wasn’t sure what had gotten into him, and he wasn’t sure this wasn’t some plan to get him alone and murder him. But he didn’t think it was. So, he grabbed Richie’s hand and followed him out of the house.
Richie led him to a large hammock on the side of the house. No one was outside, especially on the side. Just like Richie promised. Eddie could feel himself relaxing already. Richie opened the hammock and slide inside. He patted next to him.
“Pop a squat Ed boy. It’s big enough for the both of us.” Without second thought Eddie slid in too. Their bodies were pressed together so closely Eddie was sure Richie could feel his heart hammering in his chest. Eddie decided to scoot before he’d died. Putting just enough room between them that they weren’t touching. If Richie minded he didn’t show it.
“Alright Eds. How do you want it?”
“Excuse me.” Eddie’s voice cracked as he looked at the other boy, baffled.
Richie was digging into his pocket and pulled out an old Altoids tin. He brought it out with a boisterous laugh.
“Relax Spaghetti, I meant joint or blunt.” Eddie cringed at the nickname.
“I’m drawing the line at Spaghetti. The others were bad but that’s just awful.” Another blush appeared on his cheeks. “But, uh, I haven’t smoked before. So. I don’t...really know.”
“Oh, I guess I just assumed. It’s college so everyone I’ve met smokes. We don’t have to.” He started to put away the tin.
“No! No, we can. I just. I used to have asthma. So, I don’t exactly know...how.” Eddie looked down once again, slightly embarrassed. Richie just smiled down at him and pulled a joint out of his tin.
“I’ll teach you, and you don’t have to hit it if you change your mind.” He fished a lighter out of his other pocket and flicked it. Eddie watched as he touched the paper to the fire and the flames seemed to lick the joint to life. Richie touched it to his lips as smoke began spilling off. He inhaled and the cherry started to glow even brighter. Eddie was in a trance, watching Richie’s mouth pucker slightly to fit the joint, and smoke roll out as he exhaled. The smoke danced across his features as Eddie thought to himself just how beautiful the taller boy was.
“Do you wanna try?” Richie caught his eyes and held out the joint. Eddie mustered up everything he could to nod and grab it. He placed it between his lips, trying to copy Richie’s prior movements, and inhaled. It took exactly .5 seconds for Eddie to explode into a coughing fit. Holding the joint out for Richie to take it back. Richie took it immediately, smiling silently. Eddie suddenly felt a hand begin to rub his back. Once he’d finally finished coughing he sat up with a shy smile.
“Sorry, maybe I did it wrong.” Richie’s smile grew, it’s like his smile never left his face. Eddie really liked it. Especially when it was directed at him.
“Well, there is another way we could try.” Richie raised his eyebrow. “We could shotgun.”
“W-what’s that?” Another smile from Richie made Eddie’s insides warm.
“You just sit there, look pretty, and when I blow smoke out you breathe it in. It’s easy, I promise. Do you wanna try?” Eddie once again nodded, placing his hands in his lap.
“Uh, yeah I’ll try it out. Why not?” He let out a nervous laugh as Richie brought the joint back to his lips. Eddie watched as he inhaled but the time he held it in. Richie’s hand reached for his face, a gesture Eddie wouldn’t reject. Richie’s thumb found his mouth, slightly pulling down as a signal for him to open. Eddie opened his mouth just enough to gasp. Richie’s face was inches from his and he couldn’t look away. The look on his face had to be one of bashfulness. Eddie felt as Richie slowly blew smoke into his mouth. Their lips practically touching. He inhaled as best as he could before pulling back and holding it in a few seconds and exhaling.
“How was it? Better than before?” Richie also pulled back out of his space, smirk still evident on his face.
“Def-" his voice cracked, "Definitely. I didn't even cough that time." His eyes betrayed him, glancing down to Richie's lips as his tongue swiped along his bottom lip.
"I'm glad you enjoyed that more. Do you want another hit?" This time Richie's eyes traveled down and Eddie definitely saw that. Swallowing harshly.
"Yes. I'll take another." This time Richie left his hand on the side of Eddie's face, waiting for him to open his mouth. He parted his lips as his eyes slid closed. He felt Richie's lips grazing his own and he couldn't stop himself. He leaned in. He felt the smoke swirl between them as their lips met, finally. Richie didn't pull away, in fact he pushed closer, grabbing the back of Eddie's neck and pulling him in. By the time they parted they were both practically panting. Richie's eyes opened softly, looking down to Eddie.
"That was nice. Best smoking partner I’ve ever had.” His hand still rested on Eddie’s neck. Eddie’s mind raced, unsure where to go from here. He cleared his throat.
“Yeah. It was...nice. You’re the only smoking partner I’ve had so I suppose you’re the best as well.” It was Eddie’s turn to smirk.
“Fuckin rip my heart out why don’t ya Eds.” Richie’s laugh echoed off the exterior of the house. It might just be Eddie’s new favorite sound. He laughed with him and pushed himself back up to kiss Richie. Maybe parties weren’t his thing, and putting himself out there was scary. But, right now, lip locked with tall, dork, and handsome? ~~~
I slunk inconspicuously through the crowded marketplace of Dale; eyes darting around in search of my next target.
The past few weeks had been good to me. After Erebor had been reclaimed, the Dwarves had returned in droves to rebuild their lives in the mountain. All that had been good for the people of Dale; providing more people to stroll through their marketplace. More people that had more money in their pockets than the citizens of Dale.
I also blended in better with so many more Dwarves walking through the cobblestone streets. It had been harder to keep my identity a secret when I was the only Dwarf in this city.
Pretending to examine a bolt of cloth, I peered around at the mass of people. Rumour had it that the Princes had finally healed of their wounds and were out for some fresh air.
Laying down the bolt of soft cream silk with a sigh, I melted into the crowd, looking for a target.
A flash of gold caught my eye, and I smiled as my gaze landed upon a pair of Dwarrows dressed in rich fabric. Now here would be a prime target.
Slowly making my way towards them, I studied them closely. They had similar facial features, but were almost opposites in every other way. One was fair-haired and the other dark-haired; likewise with their beards. The blond had an attractive mustache and beard decorated with beads while the brunet only had stubble.
I debated upon which I would pick-pocket, making a split-second decision as I picked up my pace and averted my gaze just slightly; making it look as though I wasn't paying attention when I actually was.
I collided with the brunet with a soft squeak of surprise, allowing myself to slump against him as I gingerly slid my hand into his pocket and snagged the bag of coins that lay within.
"Are you alright?" The brunet asked in concern, his hands settling on my waist to steady me. I looked up into his soft brown eyes with a simpering smile. Butterflies rose in my stomach as my green eyes met his concerned gaze.
Mahal, now was not the time to be falling in love.
Brushing aside the fluttery feeling in the pit of my stomach, I nodded my head, pretending to smooth out my skirt in order to slip the money pouch into my pocket. "Oh, I'm fine..." I said in a sweet voice, layering on an apologetic look. "I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, please forgive me, sir." I said, making the brunet grin.
"No need to apologize, I should have been looking where I was going too." He said, prompting the blond Dwarrow beside him to let out a laugh.
"Aye, you have a wandering gaze, brother..." He laughed, blue eyes twinkling as I flushed prettily at his words, assuming they meant what I thought they meant. The brunet glared at his brother, opening his mouth to reply when I cleared my throat.
"Excuse me, kind sirs, but I need to be going." I said, reluctantly extricating myself from the brunet's hands.
"Goodbye, uh, may I ask your name?" The brunet asked, his expressive brown eyes curious as his brow furrowed.
Biting my lip, I hesitated for a moment. "Lorelei." I said, and the brunet grinned.
"Lorelei, that's a pretty name." He murmured, and I forced a little smile, beginning to become anxious at how much time I was spending here with the Dwarrow I had just pick-pocketed.
"Thank you," I replied softly, nodding to them both before turning away to hurry back into the relative safety of the crowd.
I'd gotten away to pick-pocket another day, although from the weight of the money bag in my pocket, I didn't think I would need to be pick-pocketing for awhile yet.
~~~
Despite my musings, I was back out on the streets the next day purely out of habit.
Pick-pocketing brought me a rush of adrenaline that was oh-so-addicting; besides, it kept my fingers nimble.
I inspected a beautiful emerald pendant lying on a merchant's stand, allowing the delicate links of iron to run through my fingers. Somehow, the piece reminded me of the dark-haired Dwarrow I had pick-pocketed yesterday.
Guilt stabbed my stomach as an image of him rose into my mind. I brushed it aside; there was no need to be feeling guilty about taking his money. He obviously had plenty of it.
Laying the pendant back down on its velvet cloth with a sigh, I moved off through the crowd, intending to grab an ale at the nearest tavern.
"Hey!" A voice called suddenly, and I felt my pulse begin to race. Were they talking to me?
Ignoring them, I kept walking, picking up my pace just slightly. But a hand grabbed my shoulder, and I let out a shriek of surprise, whirling around to look up into the sparkling brown eyes of the Dwarrow who was constantly occupying my thoughts.
"I'm sorry that I scared you," he mumbled suddenly, rubbing a hand across the back of his neck in apparent embarrassment. "I was just trying to get your attention."
I quickly plastered on a smile, letting out a soft laugh. "Oh, you're alright, sir." I giggled, making a hesitant smile tug at the corner of the brunet's mouth. Looking around for the blond that had been with him yesterday, I gave him a questioning look. "Did you come to the market alone today?" I asked, and he nodded.
"Aye, Fi--my brother didn't want to come with me." He said, and I nodded, wondering why he was talking to me. There didn't seem to be much of a point behind this conversation. The brunet seemed to be realizing this, and he shuffled on his feet, looking at me through his lashes.
"When we met yesterday, you stole something from me." He said quietly, and I felt the blood begin to drain from my face. A pang of guilt cut through me, and I let out a sigh.
Reaching my hand into my pocket, I pulled out his money pouch. I hadn't been able to bring myself to use any of it. "I'm sorry, I'll give you your money pouch back..." I said, hesitantly watching his reaction.
His mouth dropped open in surprise; soft brown eyes widening as they flickered up to meet mine.
We stood in silence for a moment as he slowly reached out a hand and took the pouch from me. Slipping it into his pocket, he continued to stare at me. "I was going to say you stole my heart, but it appears you took a bit more than that."
I cringed, biting my lip. "Sorry..." I muttered, moving to turn away and melt back into the crowd. But the brunet grabbed my hand, stopping my retreat.
"A-aren't you going to say something?" He asked, searching my face. I looked at him in confusion.
"What is there to say? I said I was sorry..." I replied, making his face fall into a hangdog expression.
"You won't give my heart back then?" He whispered, and I swallowed hard, trying to figure out how to react.
"I don't know how to do that... I mean, I didn't physically take it so..." I shrugged my shoulders, shaking my head.
The brunet just smiled, adding to my confusion. "Good. I didn't want my heart back anyways." He said, the sudden mood change baffling me. "Now, may I take you somewhere, my lady?" He asked, and I frowned, pulling my hand out of his.
"I don't even know your name, much less who you are, so I don't think so." I said suspiciously, making the brunet's grin widen.
He swept down into an elegant bow. "Kili, at your service." He said, and my mouth dropped open in shock. Kili as in Prince Kili?
"Now, let's go to that tavern down the road. I hear they have some good ale..." He gave me a dazzling smile, extending his hand towards me.
Considering it for a moment, I searched his brown eyes. Then I nodded, taking his hand and allowing him to lead me through the crowd. If he wanted to have an ale with me even after I'd stolen his money, then perhaps it would be worth my time to get to know him more.
Mahal only knew where this could lead.
