Welcome and thank you in advance!! As I say every year (or every-other-year when I partcipate) these are just some thoughts, but feel free to focus on different characters/storylines/etc. I'm excited to see anything you're inspired to make from the sources below!

I also tagged all the fandoms so you can see how often I reblog stuff about them, consider it a vidding vision board. :D

If you're checking out any of these sources for the first time, content warning for some blood/gore in Renfield (played for comedy) and blood, jumpscares, animal death in Midnight Mass.

Film (Safety)

Renfield (2023) - Listen. Cinema peaked when Robert Montague Renfield decorated his little apartment in bright '70s colors and kitty cat bedsheets to Lizzo, and then peaked a second time when Ben Schwartz snorted a centipede. This movie is bloody camp nonsense but somehow also an earnest abuse recovery/revenge fantasy, and it gave me Emotions and a crush on Nicholas Hoult. His giant sad eyes and self-empowerment arc mean the world to me.

Television

Abbott Elementary - Wholesome sitcom in the vein of Parks & Rec following teachers in a Philadelphia elementary school (as a child of two public school teachers it hits close to my heart). I'd kinda like to see an Ava vid, she's so entertainingly terrible but then has great moments of growth as well. Or one centered on Janine, Janine/Gregory, or just any kind of fun ensemble thing!

The Afterparty - Murder mystery comedy with the twist that each episode, a character gives their version of events in the style of different genre parodies. Honestly I'd be fine with just a season 1 vid because I liked it more than season 2. (With the exception of S2 giving me the Sapphic Wes Anderson Movie of my dreams.) S1 had just about a perfect ensemble (Yasper being a highlight) and great execution of the Rashomon-style premise.

The Bear - Drama/dramedy set in the chaotic back-of-house world of a Chicago restaurant. I love how real the environment, relationships, and characters of this show feel. I adore Ayo Edebiri so I'd especially like a vid centered on Sydney, her ambitions and anxiety and passion, but again anything that inspires you about the show would make me happy! I love everyone in this dysfunctional restaurant fam. I don't really ship Syd with Carmy so I'd prefer not an explicitly romancey vid.

Midnight Mass - There's a venn diagram between Catholic Trauma and Vampires that Mike Flanagan seemed to crack like nobody else ever has lol. After Hill House (which I got an incredible vid for a couple years ago) this is my favorite of his horror-drama miniseries, I really love the mood and themes it explores about faith/religion a source of both comfort and harm. Pretty much a "do whatever you want with this source" request!

Web Series/Internet Content

Dimension 20 - There's a lot of source here and even I haven't made it through all the older intrepid heroes campaigns yet (not to mention all the side quests). I've basically seen everything from A Court of Fey and Flowers onward. Favorites include Neverafter, A Crown of Candy, and I'm really enjoying the current Burrow's End series. But honestly if there's any season or mini-season or general vibe YOU especially love and would like to focus on, feel free to do so! And if you want to incorporate stuff like art, minis, fan sources, or just rely on the player dynamics, go for it. I love basically everybody but special shout-out to Lou Wilson.

Amaury Guichon (the chocolate guy) (Youtube/Tiktok/he also had a Netflix show) - Guichon is a French-Swiss pastry chef known for making elaborate, edible chocolate sculptures, and posting usually wordless montage videos of his process. I'm just kinda curious what a Chocolate Guy vid would look like! Watching his videos and the work that goes into each piece is so fascinating, and he has a really charming and pleasant vibe. Love the technical skill, the commitment to the bit, and the fact they often look like they taste good on top of it!

i personally love stories where the main character has a history with michael and/or the rest of the fam, independently of carmen, bc for one i hate love interests that are treated as just that and two bc i absolutely love this crazy dysfunctional but somehow functioning family and i love how you wrote their relationship and how easy tony slipped into their lives once and then again even after spending a year away

I'll take this paragraph by paragraph, because it had me kicking my feet in the air like a fuckin' school girl. Everytime someone says I write in tune or accurately to the show, I get a shot of dopamine. I'm in film/tv so like, I'm writing fanfic out of pure anguish that i'm not a writer on the bear LMAO. So I'm really fucking happy to hear I'm doing it some justice. I love the show, and I truly have an impossible time writing anything without a smidge of comedy-- So I'm glad it works in my favour here :))

And SO DO I!! I read x readers like an original character, basically-- They've got personality and backstory but like, only in the ways that puts them in the story, and then besides that, it's all you baby!!

I LOVE this insane found family of The Bear, and so it would be a fuckin' knife to my heart to not write rich relationships with them-- I only wish I could go a little farther with Tina or Marcus, but for now there's not a spot for em. Alas. Hopefully later. hehe. And writing for Mikey has been such a (bittersweet) joy. I'm really excited to see what y'all think as we get more snapshots of their past relationship. And I love the way you worded that!! Tony slippin in !! I don't think it could've gone any other way, I feel like, to the folks at The Beef, her return is like, a less shocking equivalent of Mikey coming back-- You're too happy to have them to be upset at all.

Hello, I require your infinite wisdom please!! :O So I just finished cowboy bebop and I am so confused like who the fuck was Julia. WHAT was Faye's past. I literally never process tv shows and the bebop was not immune to my stupidity LMAO like... I guess the ending just really confused me, from what I gathered Spike and Vicious were friends? But then they weren't? And Julia dated Vicious but also Spike? And he? Went after Vicious even after Julia had died? I am Confusion. Please help. Thank u...

Oh BABEY I am so glad you asked! :) Be prepared for a long answer and I apologize in advance for how incoherent it will probably be.

ALSO Please note: this show is fucking complicated. I have watched it all the way through several times a year, every single year, for over a decade now, and I am *STILL* finding new shit every time I watch it. It's packed with symbols, motifs, allusions and underlying themes that are just so rich. It is so extraordinarily well-written that it could give a lot of classic literature a run for its money. I'm literally working on an in depth literary/film analysis my husband lovingly calls my Manifesto on the series right now. SO PLEASE don't beat yourself up about not catching everything on the first go round.

HEY BTW for anyone who hasn't finished the show, please know there will be MANY spoilers ahead!

Anyways ~

1.     Spike / Julia / Vicious:

The information we get on Spike's past, including Vicious and Julia, is pretty limited considering how big of an impact they have on the story. We get our first glimpse in Session 1: Asteroid Blues, then again in Session 5: Ballad of Fallen Angels, Sessions 12 + 13: Jupiter Jazz, and Sessions 25 + 26: Real Folk Blues. I recommend reviewing these episodes for you Julia and Vicious fix.

What we know:

Spike and Vicious were both members of an organized crime syndicate called the Red Dragons, which is roughly analogous to the Yakuza or the Mafia. Their positions in the organization are not clear, but there are some images alluding to them being hitmen, and they likely rose up in the ranks as they were close acquaintances of Mao Yenrai, a Capo of the Red Dragon.

Spike and Vicious were close comrades. Spike taught Vicious everything he knew about fighting, and the two had a deep trust in each other. Which Spike fucked up ….

Julia was Vicious' lover/girlfriend. One night in 2068 (three years prior to the time we watch in the Bebop) Spike is injured, presumably from a syndicate-related fight and he passes out in front of her door. She takes him in and nurses him back to health and he SIMPS HARD for her. We’re all but told he's in LOVE love with her. They start an affair, and Spike tells her he's ready to abandon the whole life - the syndicate, Vicious, Mao, all of it - and they could run away together.

WELL Vicious finds out about this whole affair, and is DOUBLY betrayed because his literal best friend and girlfriend have been having an affair, and tbh I think he was just as jealous of Spike's attentions as he was of Julia's. (Whether or not it’s a sexual thing for Spike … well … I have my own headcanons about that). SO when he finds out they're going to run away together, he gives Julia an ultimatum: you can either kill him, or I'll just kill you both. Spike had written her a letter about meeting him in the graveyard to start their new life together, which she tears up to hide his location from Vicious. (This is the falling ripped up pieces of paper we see in Spike's flash back in Session 5).

**NOTE: There are those who disagree with this view, (looking at you Cowboy Bebop wiki) instead suggesting Vicious and Spike were buds in the past, but then hated each other once they were both considered as potential successors to Mao. That's why Vicious wanted him dead, and he was enlisting Julia (who he didn't necessarily have a romantic connection to) to help kill Spike since he knew Spike loved her. Personally, I think there is plenty of evidence that Vicious also wanted Julia, and in fact was already with her, when Spike started seeing her. If you want me to cite my sources please send an me an ask about it :)

Spike gets the idea, whether by her just not showing up or word around the syndicate being like YO Vicious wants you dead. Despite Vicious' ultimatum to Julia, he was gunna kill Spike either way. SO he sets up an ambush, and SadBoy™ Spike walks intentionally into their trap. Somehow, he doesn't die, though the entire syndicate thinks he did. (Note Annie's reaction to seeing him alive in Session 5). It’s also implied that this is where he lost his eye.

HIS EYE - possibly the most important symbol in the show so I do have to mention it. In episode 26, he explicitly explains to Faye that one of his eyes only sees the past. (PS this isn't dissimilar to Jet's arm… we can get into that another time). Basically, he's constantly living halfway in the past and halfway in the present, and describes the past like a dream he can never wake up from. Because dysfunctional or not - the syndicate WAS his family. (Again - see his relationship with Annie, Mao, and Vicious (prior to Spike's betrayal)). It's his reminder that Julia didn't run away with him, and that he'd left behind that life for her. (He didn’t know she was being threatened until the final episode). Basically Spike is hyper-fixated on what he had and what could've been.

Not long after this, Spike starts bounty hunting because like? What else is he going to do. He doesn't care if he lives or dies but if he has to be alive, he may as well be able to eat. He joins up with Jet Black on the Bebop.

TL; DR: Spike stole Vicious' lover, Julia, so Vicious made Julia choose between her killing Spike or Vicious killing them both. She instead went into hiding and Spike thought he'd been stood up. He fake died and got the hell outta dodge.

2.     What was Faye's past?

Ok let me start by saying Faye is my wife and my life. HOWEVER I hated her the first time I watched this show circa age 13 because I thought she was annoying/vain/shallow (also because #internalizedmisogyny lol am I right fam). Good news! She is all those things! But she's also very lonely and scared and an amnesiac and secretly a sweetie and she realizes she loves the crew of the Bebop like family.

SO my wife's backstory:

she was born in the 1990s (#only90skidsremember). There's some debate over her race/nationality, but due to the images of her hanging out in Merlion Park in Singapore, my bet is that she's Singaporean. She comes from a wealthy family with a big house, and we see some utterly *adorable* film of her as a child/young adolescent in Session 18: Speak Like a Child. I cry everytime </3

In 2014, circa age 20, she and her parents were going into space when the shuttle they were on had some kind of malfunction/accident and it killed an unknown number of people, including her parents. At the time, the technology didn’t exist to be able to save her, so she was put into a cryogenic sleep state. Meanwhile, the Lunar Gate accident occurs, breaking up the moon and causing rock showers on Earth's surface. Most people died, moved to Mars, or settled underground.

She wakes up from her cryogenic sleep in 2068. (Also the year Spike leaves the syndicate.) She's 'woken' by the corrupt Dr. Bacchus who plans on charging her for the years and years of medical debt she's accrued. (See Session 15: My Funny Valentine.) Luckily a lawyer takes interest in her case (Whitney Haggus Matsumoto) and tries to help get rid of her debt. The two fall in love, but turns out Whitney is a Scumbag. He's actually Dr. Bacchus's nephew, and faked his death, writing Faye as the sole inheritor to his will. This means she'll take on all his debts. So baby girl has LOTS of debt at this point.

In the intervening years prior to her joining the Bebop, she gambles, cheats, gains a lot of street smarts, and adopts a very seductive character to get her way. She joins the crew on the Bebop in Session 3: Honky Tonk Women.

TL;DR: Faye is Austin powers

YIKES this is so long I am so sorry. Bitches are obsessed with this show. (I am bitches)

3.     The Ending

Okay I'm going to present this in the way, in my scholarly opinion, would be correct, though there are SO many interpretations other than simply 'Spike died :/".

To understand the plot of the last couple episodes we actually have to go back to Session 5: Mao is instructed* to sign a treaty with a rival syndicate called the White Tigers. (*He's instructed by The Van (Council of identical creepy old men) who are the actual head of the dragon. I think we only see them in Session 26.) Well - Vicious is a Bastard Man and he and his fellow mutineers blow up the White Tiger guys' ship and slit Mao's throat. Before he dies, Mao is like "Gotdamnit if Spike was still here this shit wouldn't have happened." Later in the Cathedral battle, Vicious explains to Spike he killed Mao because Mao 'lost his fangs'. He planned on killing Spike for good her, IMO, so there'd be no rival to take over as Capo for the Dragons.

THEN in Session 25, the Van basically catches Vicious and is like “you killed Mao and now you have to go to Time Out.” The Van also decides to just kill everyone associated with Vicious, just 2 B safe. That's why there's a big ass shootout at the Loser Bar where Jet and Spike are chilling, drinking, (missing Faye and Ed and Ein lol) and Shin (younger brother to Lin, who's helping Vicious overthrow the Dragon) explains all this to Spike. OH and PS JULIA IS ALIVE AND HERE IS HER LOCATION :). (**Notice Spike's reaction at this point is different than his reaction in Jupiter Jazz when he hears there's a Julia on Calisto. Much less excited… hmm…).

SO THEN you know we get some flashbacks of the past as previously explained *and* Julia just happens to run into Faye. She recognizes that Faye is one of Spike's friends from the Bebop (she was keeping tabs on him it seems) and picks her up. Faye doesn't know who Julia is but is like damn bitch I'm a little gay for you. (I mean … that may just be my bi ass projecting, but Faye is REALLY struck with her. Look at how she describes her to Jet, I mean come on.)

 Faye's like, 'we should team up' and Julia says 'no thanks but also tell Spike to meet me at *the place*'. Meanwhile back on the Bebop Spike and Jet are talking and Spike goes on about some dream woman who was his other half. (We assume he means Julia … I have my reasons to doubt this … I have a lot of angry DMs about my opinion here lol but I just do not give a fuck (: I can expand on this in another post or you can refer to the title of my fucking blog haha) Personally, I think Watanabe personally left this specific scene open ended, the same way he does with the ending and various other things.

ANYWAY Faye comes back to the Bebop to tell Spike about Julia, and Jet gets intel from a former cop buddy that there's some shit going down with the Dragons. (Again, the Van is hunting down everyone ever associated with Vicious, including your pal Spike). Bebop is attacked, Faye tells Spike what's up with Julia, and he heads out.

 PAN TO VICIOUS chained up - about to be executed - but what's that!? It's a bird!? It's a pla- no it's just a bird. (With one glowing red eye … hm … reminds me of Spike, also the drug Red Eye. Pls let me know if you have any thoughts on this). Just a bird with a BOMB! Explosion (RIP bird c. 2065 - too soon), Vicious kills the elders, his buddies show up and are ready to go fuck shit up.

MMMPhhh okay RAINY CEMETERY. Spike and Julia. She draws a gun, explains why she didn't meet him that day, and then hugs him. Now Spike is not *great* at showing his emotions but he literally just stands there. Maybe it's a stoic expression of how sad he is that he never knew she still cared, when it seemed like she dumped him. Maybe he's finally getting some closure on his past. Maybe the past doesn't mean the same thing it used to. (I'll elaborate later on this).

They go to Annie's to get stocked up on stuff, she lets them know she denied knowing Spike was still alive and hey also the Van was assassinated by Vicious and his guys so. Watch out for that. Then her shop is surrounded by Vicious' guys and she dies :(. Spike and Julia escape to the roof, but she's shot and dies in Spike's arms, and says 'it's all just a dream' :(. (Refer to: Spike living in a dream of the past).

Anyway Jet SAID he wasn't gunna go after Spike but. Jet's parental instincts kick in (oh yeah he was shot in the leg earlier btw) and he goes to Sitting Bull to see if he knows where Spike is. He basically says yeah Spike's about to die somewhere. (I want to do a further analysis on all the Sitting Bull scenes.) Well conveniently Spike returns to the Bebop, eats, tells his story about a tiger-striped cat. (At one point Jet asks if he's going there for her, and Spike is like well she's dead now so whatever). THEN we get to the scene where Faye is like HEY YOU CAN'T GO OFF AND DIE ASSHOLE and he's like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I 've been living in the past so I might as well see if I'm living now. (**This will play heavily into my interpretation of the ending). Faye is pissed, shoots the ceiling and he goes off to the syndicate headquarters to fuck shit up.

He basically John Wicks his way through the building, Shin dies, he and Vicious have the big boss battle and whatnot. He kills Vicious and stumbles back out down the stairs and says "Bang!" and collapses. We pan to the sky and see a star fade away.

Well that explains the plot … now here's what I think happened!!! ALSO may I mention, anon - you picked up on something I feel like a lot of people miss out on. Why *did* Spike go back to kill Vicious if Julia was already dead??

Basically, once it became clear that anyone associated with Vicious was being killed, Spike knew they'd hunt him down, and they weren't beneath Kill-Billing their way to him, (i.e. systematically destroying this companions to get to him). And for all his apparent indifference - he really loves his new found family. Jet is literally like an older brother to him. Ed is a little sister. Ein is well … a very good boy. And Faye? Well the relationship is complicated, and I'm not going to get into the 69,420 reasons I ship them here, but I think it is beyond argument that he really does care for her, even if that just in a filial way. He didn't want the syndicates to kill them for their association to him, or in order to get to him. So he did what he had to do to protect them. *AND NO* I am not saying that he didn't love Julia. But it was clear that his desire was no longer to run away with her. I think he genuinely loved and cared about her, but at some point between Jupiter Jazz Pt 2 and now, he accepted that their time together was over. Now he had a new raison d'etre, which is the Bebop.

I think at this point Spike has 'woken up' to reality (as he implied to Faye in their final conversation in episode 26: "Look at these eyes. One of them is a fake, because I lost it in an accident. Since then, I have been seeing the past in one eye, and the present in the other. I had believed that what I saw was not all of reality...I thought I was watching a dream that I would never awaken from. Before I knew it, the dream was all over." (This is from the sub btw I'm too lazy to look up the dub transcript.) He wasn't going there to die, he's going to find out if he's really alive. This line is fucking cool and everything - but it's implications are multitude. I won't go into them all here but basically : what makes him alive now is that he's free from his past. He's alive because he has this new family and protecting them is all he really wants now. Spike was protecting Jet, Faye, Ed, (and Ein) by going and facing the entire syndicate, knowing that their lives would all be in danger.

SO - did Spike die? Well again - Watanabe has purposely and artfully left this open ended. Well, if we're following the symbolism from Sitting Bull, then yeah, the man is as dead as disco, and wouldn't that be a fitting ending? BUT at the same time, Spike always refers to having 'died' before (meaning when he was ambushed by the syndicate, and they all thought he died, and he pretty much did). Don't forget that in  movie (takes places roughly between episodes 22 + 23, and yes, was made AFTER the series but whatever) he like .. DIES dies. He goes to the afterlife and everything. He wakes up to find he's chilling with Sitting Bull, who's like nah it wasn't your time to die yet. So the fact Sitting Bull confirms Spike will die in the final episode, means yeah, Spike is pretty much dead.

BUT -- okay now hear me out -- could this death in the final episode be a death to his previous life? The person he was in the syndicate? Now that he's extinguished the Red Dragons for good, is it not possible that its merely *that* life which has ended? That's the optimist in me saying that, but if it keeps me from staying up all night crying, I guess it'll have to do. Watanabe definitely wants to leave it up to the viewer, so whatever you think, I feel like there's validity to it.

So I was wondering could you do a Tom X Reader where the reader kinda grew up not being close to her family and didn’t do typical “family stuff”, like vacations or fun holidays, and basically she starts dating Tom and his family is absolutely in love with her and are always including her in stuff, at first she’s shy and kinda doesn’t know how to act but later cries to Tom and his family and says how thankful she is for them? Thank you!

A/n: This is so cute. I’m basing this around a vacation bc I personally feel like that’s such a family time and being invited to join someone else’s holiday is a really big deal.

“You’re going, right, y/n?” Tom asked, pulling your attention away from the blank spot in the room.

“What?”

“To Switzerland? Snowboarding, skiing?” He caught you up, Nikki looking at you expectantly.

“Oh! I don’t- that’s a family thing, I don’t want to intrude,” you opposed.

“Don’t worry about that, darling. We would love for you to join us,” Nikki said.

“Do you have anything that week you’ll miss?” Tom asked. You scanned you brain thinking of your commitments, nothing keeping you from going.

“No,” you replied slowly.

“Then you should go. Come on, please?” Tom was close to begging. “First holiday together- it’ll be so much fun.”

You shook your head, thinking of another excuse. “I don’t have the money to pay for any of that.”

“We’ll take care of that for you,” Nikki promised. “We love you, and we want you to come with us.”

“Think of all the family dinners and events you’ve been to,” Tom said, seeing you still looked unsure. “This is no different. I promise.”

“I guess if you insist,” you gave in.

“This place is gorgeous,” you commented as you made your way through the chalet.

“Dibs on the biggest room!” Paddy yelled as he began running through the rented home.

“Oh no you don’t!” Sam yelled, running after him. You shook your head, smiling as you watched the two boys run amuck. Your eyes drifted as you felt a hand on your waist, Tom’s mouth right next to your ear.

“Glad you came now?” He asked, recalling the uncertainty you had when they first invited you. You rolled your eyes playfully as he placed a kiss to your temple. “Let’s find a room.”

You two began walking through the unfamiliar house, peeking into rooms as you passed them. The parents in the master bedroom, the twins in a room with two twin beds, an empty room with another set of twin beds, and Paddy in a room with a queen size bed.

“Pads, there’s a room by Mum and Dad. Let us have this room,” Tom stated, walking into the room and placing his bag on the bed. You stood in the doorframe and watched as the younger boy’s jaw dropped.

“But I was here first!” He fought.

“Paddy, you’re like two feet tall and three inches wide, you don’t need a bed this big.”

“Why can’t you guys just take the other room?”

“Because it has kid beds and this is the adult bed, just switch,” Tom pleaded, obviously annoyed with his brother.

“I don’t want to,” Paddy said, crossing his arms and staring Tom down.

“Would you-“ Tom started, but you interrupted him.

“Well, I guess if you want the room so bad, Paddy, you can have it, but I think Tom should bunk with you.”

“What?” Tom and Paddy both asked.

“I mean, this bed is huge. There’s no reason for one person to take it. You guys share and I’ll take the other room by myself,” you offered, giving Tom a subtle nod, hoping he was catching your drift.

“Sounds good to me,” Tom nodded back, looking at Paddy.

“No, I don’t want to share a bed with you,” he protested.

“Then take the other room, but I’m sleeping here,” he continued, unpacking his bag. You saw Paddy throw his hands out, letting out a groan before grabbing his own bag.

“Fine,” he muttered moving past you to the other room.

“And that’s how you persuade younger siblings to do what you want them to,” you said softly moving to where Tom stood.

“I’ve never done any of this before,” you admitted as you walked through the rental place. You followed Tom as he and his brothers looked at the snowboards and skis, knowing exactly what they were looking for.

“Really?” He asked, looking at you as you nodded. “Don’t worry about it. It’s pretty easy- you’ll get the hang of it after a few tries. And knowing how good you are at other things, I’d say you’ll be pretty good.”

“Better than you?” You tease, watching as he pulled the board off the wall. He chuckled, looking at you.

“I don’t know about that,” he replied, a teasing tone in his voice. “I mean I am basically the best snowboarder.” You nodded your head as he spoke. Joking as well as trying to impress you, you found it pretty endearing. “But I’ll make sure you’re better than Harry and Sam at least.”

“Oh, thanks,” you replied, your smile mirroring his.

“Hold this for me,” He asked, handing you the snowboard as he turned back to pick one out for you, explaining whatever makes it easier for beginners for whatever reason. You didn’t really understand what any of it meant.

You all checked out with your rentals and headed straight for the slopes, you and Tom stopping at a small hill first so you could learn how to work the board. As Tom was showing you how to put the boots in the board, you realized everyone was standing around you.

“You guys can go ahead,” you told them. “Don’t worry about waiting for me.”

“We want to watch. It’s part of the fun,” Dom told you, Nikki nodding in agreement.

“Yeah, and we wouldn’t want to miss you falling on your ass,” Harry added with a smirk, Paddy and Sam laughing.

“Thanks for the boost of confidence,” you muttered, looking at Tom.

“Don’t worry- you’ll do fine. We all had to learn at one point too.” He demonstrated how to do everything while you watched, mimicking his movements along the way. It wasn’t long before you were taking your first slide down the hill. Tom held his hands out to you as you went down side by side, making sure you were steady. You grabbed him right at the bottom before you stopped, half scared but half excited.

“I did it!” You yelled excitedly.

“Yay, y/n!” The family cheered for you, making you feel even more confident in yourself.

“Do that a few more times then we’ll go up?” Tom suggested, making you nod. “Want to go by yourself?”

“Go with me one more time then I’ll go by myself,” you told him. He nodded and headed up with you, the second slide going as smooth as the first, not needing to grab onto Tom at all. The third time you went up by yourself, prepping yourself before going down, Tom and fam cheering for you. As you were close to the bottom, you threw your arms out, feeling accomplished, causing you to stumble. Tom catching you before you hit the ground.

“Right, don’t do that,” he told you with a chuckle , steadying you again. You went up one last time before going up the lift to the top of the mountain.

“What if I fall?” You asked Tom, officially nervous now that your we’re at the top.

“Just try keep yourself steady. If you do fall though, tuck into yourself. I’m right behind you if anything happens,” he assured you. “You want a hand?” He asked, holding his hand out to you to take if you wanted it.

You shook your head, “I want to try by myself.”

“Keep up if you can!” Sam yelled as he passed you on his board, Paddy and Harry following.

“Come on,” Tom said, gesturing with his head and slowly starting his way down the hill, you following him.

“Yeah, y/n! You’re doing so good!” The parentals cheered from behind you, a huge smile on your face.

After a long day of snowboarding and falling, you were all back in the chalet. The boys were playing football in the hallway while Nikki and Dom discussed something in the dining room. Tom had you sat on the couch, foot on the table with an ice pack on your knee, soothing the ache from your few tumbles. A movie was on while you rest your head on his shoulder.

“Thank you,” you spoke softly to him. “I know I’m not family, but-“

“No. You are my family. Our family- we all love you, and we want you around for times like this because it’s special to us, we don’t want you to miss out because you’re worried about overstepping.”

You looked down with a soft smile, a few tears in your eyes. “I’ve just never had this before. My family is so dysfunctional; I’m not used to all this.”

“Being on holiday?” He asked in disbelief.

“Being on holiday, having people wait for me to do something, them cheering for me when I did it. People caring about me like I wished they would.”

Tom’s hand tangled itself in your hair, pressing his forehead into yours as he heard the emotion in your voice.

“I love you. Mum loves you. Dad loves you. Harry and Sam love you. Paddy loves you. Tessa loves you,” he began to list off, the latter making you giggle. “You have a place with us. Whenever and why-ever you may need it.”

“Is that even a word?” You questioned.

“I don’t know, but it works,” he shrugged. “Don’t worry about overstepping. You’re were you belong.”

You felt him place a kiss to your forehead before repositioning, the side of his head against yours. You’d never felt so comfortable or happy before, and you never wanted it to change.

a/n: this took me forever to get out ANON SWEETIE I AM SO SORRY, this takes place right after civil war and italics are flashbacks!  

request: hi so I tried to write a fic but it didn't come out good, so can you do it? because yours are so good!! The reader is Tony Starks daughter and she can't tell anyone for her own safety. she is dating Peter parker, and they don't know about each others secrets until one day he is recruited and see each other at the compound :) I know this is really specific :))

He was late...again. It was the third time this week that he was late for patrol. Peter mentally scolded himself, knowing that he should be helping out more. He was running, running through the bust sidewalks of New York city. Typically, Peter just stuck to watching over Queens. He rarely even went into Brooklyn. But something told him that he needed to be there today. He couldn't figure out why, his spider-senses only telling him to be alert. He tried to decipher his feelings as he squeezed through the crowd of people. He was nervous and...giddy? Well that makes no sense. Right then and there, Peter's body collided with another person, a hot liquid spilling on both of them, causing them both to cry out in pain.

Peter looked up and was met with a girl, no older than he was, now covered in coffee.

"I-I'm so so sorry!" Peter apologized, further scolding himself. She tucked her slightly long, dark hair behind her ear and smiled at him.

"It's okay! It's crowded here so it would have happen regardless," She tried to make the situation better even though she lost all of her dysfunctional families coffee including her own.

"Still, I'll-I'll buy you some new ones! And, uh, a new shirt. Shit. I'm really really sorry." He pulled out his wallet to hopefully reimburse the poor girl for the spilled drinks and spoiled shirt, only to find no money. "Just my luck," he thought to himself.

"Seriously, it's okay! Accidents happen! All the time! Especially here in New York." Sure her skin was burned from the give or take 64 ounces of fresh, steaming coffee poured on her, but she was just as clumsy and she didn't want this poor guy to suffer.

"But," Peter looked down at his watch. He was really late for patrol now. He groaned as he struggled with what to do. He knew he need to start patrol as soon as possible and get to his backpack where his homemade superhero suit was waiting for an adventure and justice. But, he also knew that he couldn't just leave this girl after ruining her day.

She could sense that he was in a hurry. To where? Who knows, but she decided to make this easier on the both of them.

"Give me your phone."

"What?"

"Give me your phone."

"Why-"

"Just do it!" Peter reluctantly handed her his phone, absolutely clueless of her plan. She added her contact into Peter's outdated iPhone, smiling as she returned it to him. "There. You seem like you're in a hurry so you can make it up to me on a date," she winked at him. Peter began to blush as he stuttered. She laughed and waved bye to the boy, hoping that it wouldn't be the last time that she gets to see his cute face.

Peter looked down at the phone and found her contact. Y/n. He smiled as he watched her figure retreat down the sidewalk, further and further away from their little coffee accident. A pretty name for a pretty girl.

Y/N walked into the huge compound, instantly being met with the loud clamor of her expansive and not all completely related family.

"Little Stark!" Wanda greeted, drawing the team's attention to the teenage girl who entered the building.

"Yo Stark! Where's the coffee?" Sam yelled asked.

"Ha. About that-"

"She's wearing it," Natasha pointed out, a teasing smile now on her face.

"Ms. Stark, what happened?" Vision asked, concerned as to why the young was suddenly covered in coffee but still seemed in a fabulous mood.

"Ran into someone."

"Damn kid just cause we have money doesn't mean that you can go spilling it and wearing it," Tony looked at his pride and joy, trying into to laugh.

"Steve doesn't like that language Tony," Rhodey joked.

"You know what? For a Colonel-"

"I'm fine by the way. In case you case were wondering ya know. Just some minor second degree burns no biggie," y/n interrupted Steve.

Wanda gasped, ”You met a boy!"

"You met a boy?!" All the adults formed a chorus. Tony, Steve, and Rhodey were all concerned, protective parents, Vision was trying to figure out what was so specially about meeting someone of the opposite sex, all while Sam and Nat were happy that their niece was finally going to get some.

"Wanda you snitch!"

"I'm sorry! I'm trying to control it I swear! It's just, your thoughts were so loud I couldn't help myself!"

"Who's the boy?" Tony questioned, a million emotions flooding his system.

"Dad-"

"Who's the boy?" He repeated.

"No nobody! No one! Wanda," y/n sent glares to the other young girl in the house.

"Guys stop with the third degree. It's obvious nothing happened. She's literally wearing coffee."

"Jee thanks Sam."

"Anytime y/n/n. Anytime." At that moment, a small ding came from y/n's phone.

"Hey y/n! It's Peter the guy that ran into you earlier today. Would you might to maybe like go out sometime this weekend?" A smile followed by a blush took over y/n's face. How could she say no?

And thus was the beginning of their beautiful relationship.

Five Months Later

The compound was quiet, far too quiet. Y/N hated it with a burning passion. She missed all the clashing and banging from the training center. She missed the awkward, flirting tension that would follow Wanda and Vision everywhere. She missed Sam yelling at Steve to stop running so fast. She missed Nat trying to teach her basic combat skills behind her dad's back. She missed showing Steve all the new things about the internet and watching the greatest movies of all time that he didn't get to see due to the ice. She missed bantering with Sam about who's Steve's best friend was: her or Sam. She missed Rhodey and Sam ranting about the "two crazy white boys" in their lives. She missed her dysfunctional family more than she ever thought possible. And she was so incredibly pissed at both Steve and Tony for not finding a common ground for the accords.

Tony was just as upset. He hated silence, he always knew he did. But he never knew he could hate it so much. He never thought that he could miss Steve, or Wanda, or Clint, or Sam, or Nat. He never knew how much he could miss his daughter yelling at Vision for barging into her room. Or her and Wanda screaming Taylor Swift lyrics at the top of their lungs. Or Steve's thousand questions as they watched some classic movie that he never got to experience. Or the mess the team would leave the kitchen, training room, living room, hell, practically the entire compound. He missed catching Nat teaching y/n how to fight. He missed the dysfunctional family he never knew he had, until Steve and Bucky left him to die in the snow, all alone and cold, bleeding out, wondering where the hell did he go so wrong. Seeing the after math of the Avenger's "civil war", Rhodey struggling to walk on his own and y/n barely leaving her room, made him feel even more guilty. Even thought the fight was both of their faults, Tony couldn't help but feel that it was all his. That he could have, should have, would have done more to fix it...but he did it. And now everyone, even Clint: the retired Avenger, Scott: the man that suddenly entered the team's lives during the fight, and his own sweet daughter: y/n, are facing the consequences.

He sighed, checking his phone while hearing the news blare from his daughter's room to make up for the quietness of the compound.

"Sir, Mr. Parker is here," FRIDAY informed him.

"Send the kid in." He put away his phone and put on his "I'm Tony Stark and I have my shit together" mask.

Peter was, well, to best explain it: the love child of the emotions excited, nervous, anxious, and worried. No matter how many times he had talked to Tony  Stark, he could never get over the fact that he was talking to Tony Stark, THE Iron Man himself. He wondered what Ned would say if he knew. Probably something extremely fanboy-sih like: "Oh my god what did he smell like? If you don't say iron than I give up supporting him." He then thought about what his girlfriend would say to all of this. She didn't exactly know that her boyfriend was the spider vigilante. Or that he had superpowers. Or that Tony Stark had taken him under his wing and had him fight alongside him to stop Captain America. She didn't even know that he left the country just a week ago per Mr. Stark's request. He didn't know what her reaction would be. And he didn't get much time to think about it as the elevator doors opened up to the compound.

Peter's eyes widened in a childlike wonder. He was so caught up in his surroundings that the doors almost closed on him. He stumbled out, still looking around.

"Hey underoos," Tony greeted, putting his phone away.

"H-Hey Mr. Stark. This place is amazing!" Peter exclaimed, his eyes still roaming around the room.

"This used to be the Avengers compound."

"Used to? Oh! Right! Berlin."

"Yeah...Berlin. Let me show you around."

While Tony took Peter on the grand tour, Rhodey thought he'd pay a visit to his favorite Stark.

"How you doing y/n/n?"

"I hate this," she grumbled, lowering the volume of her television.

"I know."

"No offense Rhodey, but you guys are adults. Grown adults. Why couldn't you guys have come to an agreement or something?"

"It's not that simple. You know that."

"But it should have been." She looked down at her lap, trying to hold back the tears. "I'm sorry bout your legs."

"You can't expect to come out with everything in a war like that."

"But it's your family."

"Makes it just a little worth it."

"So, why are you here? Don't get me wrong I love your company Rhodey but I'm sure my dad would prefer you in his sight."

"Came to check in on you. Also, to tell you that the new recruit is here."

"New recruit?" She perked up.

"Yeah. I think you'll like him too. He's your age."

"My age?" She started to laugh. "Rhodes there's no way in hell that Tony Stark, the Iron-Man, my father, would ever recruit a kid my age."

"Well, why don't you just come see for yourself?"

"Is this an attempt to get me out of my room and to face my dad?"

"No, but I'm saving that for future reference. Just come see."

"I'm going. I'm going."

Tony stopped the tour in the living room as soon as he heard his daughter's giggle.

"Pete, there's someone I want you to meet."

As soon as she walked in, Peter froze. Y/N turned her gaze from Rhodey to the two people in front of her and her eyes widened.

"Peter?" she gasped, a smile finding her face for the first time in a week.

"Y/n?" Peter's brows furrowed. He was trying to figure out how the hell his girlfriend got here. Tony looked between the two kids and then back to Rhodey, mentally asking what was going on. Rhodey shrugged his shoulders, just as confused.

"What are you doing here?!" she gave him a hug. She had missed him, esspecially with all the crazyness that had taken over her life the past week.

"Mr. Stark invited me," he hugged her back, also missing the way her voice sounded and how soft her skin was. "What are you doing here?"

"I live here. Wait, invited you?"

"Y/n, this is the new recruit," Tony informed her, scared that she was going to tear him apart.

"Wait what?!" She looked at her dad.

"Wait, why do you live here?"

"She's his daughter," Rhodey answered.

"YOU HAVE A KID!?" Peter yelled.

"Yes.." Tony took a step back, the whole scene feeling too much for him suddenly.

"AND YOURE HIS KID?!"

"Yeah wait why is he recruiting you?"

"He's Spider-Man. How do you two know each other?" Rhodey was more than curious to figure out the drama going on before his eyes.

"YOURE SPIDER-MAN AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME!!!"

"IM SORRY!! YOURE TONY STARKS DAUGHTER AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME!!"

"...YOU HAVE A POINT BUT IM SORRY!"

"Screaming kids," Tony snapped his fingers in-between the two, "yeah, hi! How do you two know each other?"

"Oh, well, uh, y-you see Mr. Stark. The thing is..." Peter scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"He's my boyfriend," y/n cut him off. 

"I did NOT see that coming!" Rhodey exclaimed, laughing. "He's the guy that spilled coffee on you two months ago??!" Y/n nodded sheepishly as Peter blushed.

"You told them!?"

"Pete, I was covered in coffee. What did you want me to do? Say I threw up coffee?"

"Really underoos? My kid?" Tony asked, still refusing to believe that his work child and his blood child were dating.

"I DIDN"T KNOOOW!"

"Really y/n? My underoos?"

"Really dad? My Peter?"

"Hey I found him first."

"Actually, I did."

"Actually the spider did," Rhodey intruded.

"Am I being fought over by Tony and y/n Stark?" Peter asked, still confused as to what was going on.

"Yup. It's a pleasure isn't it?" Rhodey teased.

"Listen, as much as I want to be mad I really can't cause you're both good kids so, knock yourselves out...but not up. Please, not up. But Peter, if you hurt my daughter, I will hurt you. And y/n, if you hurt Peter, I will hurt you. Alright?"

"Yes dad."

"Yes Mr. Stark."

"So wait. Is Peter, like, living with us now?" y/n asked.

"For a bit. Just so we can train him." Peter and y/n looked at each other with huge smiles on their faces.

"Let's give them a moment Peter," Rhodey dragged the teen boy out.

"So, do you forgive me?" Tony looked at his daughter with hopeful eyes.

"I'm still upset with you...but I guess I'll forgive you're letting my boyfriend stay for a bit."

"I love you y/n/n, you know that right?"

"And I love you too dad." The two shared a hug for the first time since the spilt of the Avengers, finally feeling as if they had a family again.

"Is this a bad time to ask: where exactly am I staying?" Peter interrupted.

"Jeez kid, can't you see we're having a moment?" Tony rolled his eyes.

"Come on," y/n laughed, "I'll show you to your room."

"Remember to use protection!" Rhodey called out after the two teens. He received a shove from Tony and a middle finger from y/n. Yup, all was finally going to be right in the compound again.

“Tt, you see, Batman, this is why Red Hood should never join us. He’s far too reckless,” Damian states trough his com.

Through a series of unfortunate events, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing had failed a mission. All they needed to do was get in, avoid too much violence, download a file filled with a minor drug dealers buyers onto a hard drive, and get out.

“First of all, don’t blame me for your problems. It’s not like I was the one to disobey Bats, that was all you, man. We had a clear goal, don’t cause chaos,” Jason’s voice echoed through the empty factory. Much like the rest, he was currently tied up and hung over a pool of hydrofluoric acid.

“Oh, so going into a building with AK-47’s blaring is the right way to go? My bad, I didn’t realize.”

I which was followed by a mutter however, due to the empty factory, came as a loud echo, “Imbecile.”

“Robin, control yourself,” Bruce stated through the com, “Tim and I will be there shortly.”

While Jason ignored Bruce, he attempted to swing over and bump into Damian. Unfortunately for him, Jason, not Damian; Damian was quite thankful, he was in no mood to be burned by acid, a loud explosion interrupted his actions.

“Well, I guess they’re finally gonna kill us,” Dick sighed, “It was nice being part of this family while it lasted.”

“I promise you will feel every last bit of the explosion, just a little heads up from one dead man to the next,” Jason added.

“Heads up, indeed.”

Over the heads of all 3 vigilantes, you glided past them, cladded in an outfit as if steampunk and a ninja collided together and became one, from pillar to pillar. (a/n: or you know, whatever you want. I’m low key digging the steampunk ninja vibe though, haha.)

When you found a pillar that was in a good enough distance to save the heroes in distress, you started jumping to each chain that held them above the acid and with perfect precision, you brought them to safety with a swift cut, catch, and release.

“Why are you all so bloody heavy?” You grunted out after you brought down Robin from the chains.

Breathlessly, you stood up from your crouching position with a smile. You clapped your hands together and rolled back onto your heels, “As much fun as this was, I truly must be going,” you turned to the man with a red helmet, “I presume you’re Red Hood, correct? I agree with this twat,” you made awkward hand gestures to Damian and continued, “Please, no more reckless behaviour; I don’t want to nearly break my back again.”

“Tt, I don't need your approval, nor should you ever call me a twat. Who are you even? Were you sent by my mother? Who do you work with? Why did you-.”

You cut him off, “Easy, tiger. No need for all these questions, all you need to know is that your in safe hands. Besides, I don’t even know who you are, but I’m definitely not against learning,” you ended your statement with a wink.

Damian’s face turned a deep crimson colour as his brothers laughed.

“Robin,” he responded.

“Excuse me?”

“I am Robin,” he clarified his response.

You laughed and gave him bow to mock him, “In that case, I’m Hawk. Pleased to you.”

“Tt, I am serious, you poor excuse of a hero.”

You put a hand to your chest and replied with, “Oh, goodness me. Why, I don’t recall ever saying I was a hero, my love. But in all seriousness, my name is Onmitsu (a/n: or whatever you want). I like to consider myself a… an antihero.”

Damian blushed, yet again. To save him from further embarrassment, Dick came forward, with arms crossed, “In order for this meeting to go on any longer, we will need a clarification of what your purpose is for being here.”

“Batman should be arriving with replacement soon,” Jason added.

“Tt, we are well past that.”

Ignoring the two who were arguing, you answered the other man, “As you know, my name’s Onmitsu and I consider myself an antihero-.”

“Why do you consider yourself that?” Dick added with squinted eyes.

Sighing, you continued, “If you would let me finish my sentence, you would have known by now. My name is Onmitsu, I see myself as an antihero because I prefer to be paid for my work, and the only reason I’m saving you idiots is because this happens to be my safe haven. There’s a nice view when there isn’t acid, chains, and random people. All you need to to is look up, the stars are quite beautiful from here, no?”

Damian looked up, “Tt, you make it seem like I would be looking at-.”

“Oh, how could I forget about you!”

Damian looked back down and to you, you were playing with the tiniest kitten he has ever seen, “It looks malnourished.”

You sighed and pat the cat behind its ear, “Her name is Manara. She is the light of my life. I found her a little over a month ago, she refuses to eat anything I give her. I don’t know what to do anymore. Do you like animals? I adore them. I prefer them over humans, humans are so unpredictable.”

Damian gave a faint smile, it wasn’t noticeable, but it didn’t slide past Jason and Dick. Or even Tim and Bruce who seemed to finally arrive.

“I couldn’t agree less, you seem to be tolerable. Perhaps you would like to meet my animals sometime. I have many, I simply adore them. I have a cat as well, his name is Alfred.”

Tim and Jason couldn’t help but snicker at Damian.

Batman clasped his hands together, “Well, we truly must be going. Onmitsu, it would be lovely to work with you in the near future,” he turned to the three who faced a near death experience, “You three were in good hands it seems. No scratches, cuts, bullet wounds. Anything?”

They all shook their heads.

“Very well. It was a pleasure meeting you, I’m quite excited for you and Robin to be dating, from the profile check I did on you, you seem quite suitable, y/n.”

“Why, thank you, Mr. Wayne. I can assure you, I mean no harm. Unless I’m provoked, that is,” you smiled.

With a sigh and a hand to his temple, “First Red Robin, now you?”

Your smile grew to a smirk, “I believe you mean, Tim Drake, sir?” You turned and nodded off the rest of the people, “Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and last but certainly not least, Damian Wayne. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.”

Dick looked at you with confusion, “I thought you said you didn’t know Damian?”

You fiddled with your katanas and put them back in their scabbards on your back before answering, “Come on, who in their right mind would have came in saying how you already know someone’s alter ego? You gotta build up to that, my friend. Wait for the right moment, ya know?”

Your smile grew at their looks of discontent, “Please don’t worry, I have nothing against you. There’s not a dime for any of you to be dead. Surprising, I know.”

Tim yawned and added, “How reassuring.”

“Tt, calm down, Drake. Anyway, since you have the approval of my father and a reliable research, I deem you worthy to be invited to Wayne Manor.”

Jason came behind Damian and but his hands on his shoulders, “What demon is trying to say is he wants to date you. Possibly marry you, I wouldn’t be surprised if I were you; he doesn’t usually smile at people. That alone makes me hear wedding bells,” he finished by moving his index finders side to side in the air to symbolize the chiming of bells.

“Jason!” Damian hissed.

No one backed Damian up, they knew it was all too true. Never once did he show the same interest in anyone like he showed you. Inviting you over? Deeming you worthy? You were beyond confused with this seemingly dysfunctional family, but they seemed nice enough. You did your research, there was nothing to be too frightened of. What could go wrong?

“Well, it would be my honour.”

And if Damion wasn’t blushing, he sure was now, “Very well, I am free tomorrow at noon. Where shall I pick you up?”

“What about at Gotham Park? I’m already going there tomorrow, I’m down for you to come. Is that okay?” You hit his shoulder with yours.

“Okay.”

“Great, demon spawn has a date, I believe we’re done here. I really don’t want to be standing near this acid anymore. But I’m a nice guy, I’ll try to get this all cleared up for you before we leave,” Jason interjected.

“It’s fine; I’m a responsible adult, I’m sure I’ll find a way to get bloody hydrofluoric acid out of here. How the hell did it even get here?”

“You know drug dealers,” Tim cut in.

“Damn, why must this dealer just have to ruin the purest thing, I love this place” you added. “Especially you, Manara. No drug lord will ever hurt you.”

As the heroes and anti heroes walked out of the factory, Manara closely following behind, all that could be heard was the words of departure and traffic. For once, there was no raindrops to fill the erie city that is Gotham.

The 100 Highlights - “Pandora’s Box” (5x04)

Hey fam! I’m back again this week to cover the highlights for 5x04, aka. Pandora’s Box. A shitton of stuff happened in this episode so I’m excited to dig through it and share some of my personal highlights with you all!

With that out of the way, let’s get into it:

GAIA’S HAIR. heart EYES mothafucka!

Ian and Paige both slayed the game with acting this episode! The way Abby’s voice cracks when she says “it was me” and Kane’s look of absolute and complete despair as he kills that Grounder in the arena ... hating himself for it, hating himself for choosing self-preservation (and also for playing Octavia’s game). Wow.

Can we take a moment to talk about how fucked this justice system is? And by fucked I mean TERRIFYING AND AWESOME. Like, the idea that this tyrant gets to decide whether your crime has been forgiven based off of how entertaining your fight was ... And if you fail to perform to the crowd’s approval, then you are stuck in a continuous cycle of kill or be killed every. single. day. until you either win the crowd’s favour or die. That’s metal as hell, man.

I could listen to Bellamy and Charmaine negotiate all day. They both carry such an intensity with them and that entire scene they had together was fire. We’ve never really gotten to see Bellamy take a hand at diplomacy in this way before and it feels so good to see him taking on a role as a recognized leader by the antagonist on this show. It really feels like this is where his character arc has been leading him and I’m just *chokes* so proud of my son. If Charmaine and Clarke and Bellamy were the only three leaders on this show, perhaps they could strike a deal. *sigh* Alas, that is not the case.

THAT BELLARKE SCENE YO

THE WAY THAT BELLAMY PAUSES IN THE DOORWAY, AS IF TO MAKE SURE SHE’S REAL. AND THE WAY SHE STARES AT HIM LIKE SHE’S NOT SURE IF HE’S REAL EITHER OR JUST A HALLUCINATION. I MEAN GOD. AND THEN HE FREAKING HELPS HER UP AND IT’S SO SOFT AND INTIMATE AND I’M WEAK.

“You’re really here.” *cue my Shakespearean death* HER LIP WAS TREMBLING FAM I CAN’T DEAL

“Clarke, you saved us all.” “And now you’re home.” CAUSE HOME IS WITH HER. The tears in Clarke’s eyes reflect the tears in my soul.

WE GOT TWO HUGS IN ONE SCENE GUYS. THIS IS A NEW RECORD LIKE F UCK

ALSO CAN WE FREAKING TALK ABOUT HOW FUCKING SENSUAL THAT SHOT OF BELLAMY’S HANDS ON CLARKE’S ALMOST BARE BACK WAS AND NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT IT???? CAUSE I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND MY WIG #SexiestTVMoment2k18

So ... The Dark Year = cannibalism ... right?

I really appreciate all the callbacks to Aurora Blake this season. It’s important to remind the audience where these characters came from, how they ended up the way they are.

“Octavia, please. Strength without mercy is nothing. It’s nothing.” THANK YOU FOR FINALLY VERBALIZING THIS ON THE SHOW. Y’ALL DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW HAPPY THIS LINE MAKES ME. Like, I feel like in the latest seasons the show has started to feel a bit like it is romanticizing violence in a way that really grateS on me by presenting it as being “badass” rather than brutal. But this line here doesn’t make bloodsport out as being badass, but as being weak. And I needed that.

Can we talk about Indra saying that she made sure to match up Kane with a weaker opponent the second time? She’s looking out for him however she can, even behind Octavia’s back. She could have told Octavia the truth about Abby, but she didn’t - she allowed Kane to make his own choice. I’m such a weak bitch for this friendship guys

“What have we done?” “What we had to do to survive.” “How many times can we tell ourselves that? [...] No, it’s what we say to justify the horror we inflict on each other. I can’t do it anymore.”

^ THIS ^ LINE ^ 

I have to admit that after hearing the trademark “what we had to do to survive” line in the trailer I rolled my eyes. How many times have we heard that one? But I was so wrong about how it would be implemented into the show and I’M SO PLEASED?? Cause for once, someone actually pointed out the hollowness of those words. They’ve said them so many times that they don’t mean anything anymore. They’re just an empty way of justifying the terrible things that these characters have done to keep themselves and their people alive. But after a certain number of atrocities have been committed, can you really continue to use that excuse? Or is there a limit to all the bloodshed? I’m just so happy that it has finally been verbalized how meaningless that string of words has become.

Kabby has been getting scenes that feel like they’ve been pulled straight out of fic this season

I really am intrigued by Abby’s storyline this season, though. I think it’s going to be her best character arc yet. The 100 has dealt with drugs in their storylines before but the idea of addiction and the trauma it cause isn’t something that has really been touched on in this show before so I’m excited to see where it goes.

Abby promising to stop taking the pills only to ... try to take the pills later in the episode. That was painful. But it shows that the road to recovery isn’t easy. 

Loved the little commentary on the four different Eligius ships. What happened to Eligius III? Shannon Kook anybody? I’m so excited to find out what happens with that plotline.

Listen fam: I am so here for Bellamy appearing out of the light like an avenging angel in all of his dramatic entrances this season. That’s my mans. 

“I knew you’d come.” I LOVE how this echoes Madi’s “Clarke knew you would come.” The two most important people in Bellamy’s life having faith in him? My Biggest Kink. 

The Blakes are dysfunctional as fuck and I get really conflicted about their relationship but that hug was nice. I like how Octavia’s walls just completely fell down around her in that moment. It’s nice to know that there’s a human somewhere underneath that armor.

Also ... Clarke and Bellamy propelling into the bunker together? I love two (2) dramatic soulmates.

Clarke and Bellamy’s identical “dafuck happened down here OCTAVIA” looks are lowkey the best part of this episode. The couple that judges together fucks together ... wait. 

“Love the warpaint by the way.” I take it back ... THIS is the best part of the episode.

CHARMAINE JUST HAS SUCH A PRESENCE FAM, like that bitch steals every single scene. She has such a subtle yet condescending tone when she is talking to Octavia? Like, I was really amazed during my rewatch of this interaction with Octavia. It’s like she managed to strip her bare with just a couple words. She is not intimidated by Octavia’s facade, and it brings out this vulnerability in O. Makes her seem small. DIYOZA IS SO POWERFUL

Diyoza and Bellamy’s matching “what the fuck” looks when Octavia told them they should only be prepping for 814 people ... y’all. 

This is one of those scenes where I don’t know whether it is supposed to be comical or not but it’s just ... so fucking funny guys. Like, I can’t get over it. I will never be over it.

THE RAVEN SHOWING UP ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN. I LOVE THAT CALLBACK TO 3X16 SO MUCH GUYS LIKE RAVEN REYES IS A FREAKING BADASS

“Real cute.” SOMEONE TELL ME HOW IT IS POSSIBLE FOR TWO CHARACTERS TO HAVE SO MUCH CHEMISTRY WHEN THEY HAVE NEVER EVEN SHARED A SCENE TOGETHER. TELL ME HOW.

Murphy taking a nap in the cryo pod ... tell me why I love this idiot so much?

LISTEN, LISTEN. I may not be into it romantically but Lindsey and Richard slay every single scene together and Murphy and Raven’s scenes are always SO good. Like, Murphy telling Raven that he’ll be the one to pull the plug? Because everyone expects him to be the shitty one anyway? Because that’s who he expects himself to be? He thinks he has nothing left to lose, he already hates himself so much. It makes my heart hurt. Every once in awhile Murphy manages to be heroic in a way that isn’t considered to be conventionally heroic. But it is, because its Murphy. Wow, I Am Emotion.

“Why do you always have to be the one to sacrifice?” “This girl is some kind of genius.” RAVEN REYES GETTING THE APPRECIATION SHE DESERVES CAN I GET A HELL YEA

Bellamy trying to hold onto Octavia’s hand as she rises up towards the heavens? Hmmmmmmmm 

The return of Charmaine, McCreary and Bellamy’s “WHAT THE FUCK” faces as Gaia starts leading the chant as Octavia rises. Goddamn why is this so funny. THEY WALKED INTO A FUCKING CULT. Jesus the bunker literally looks like a bunch of wackjobs. This episode was a comedic gold mine.

I have to take a moment to SCREAM about the score in this episode. First, “you’re real” was beautiful. (Seriously.) And there were so many other good music moments too, but the soundtrack when Octavia emerged from the bunker was straight up epic. That’s the kind of music that gives me goosebumps. God, I really hope its released with the soundtrack this year.

Bellamy Blake’s Disappointed Dad Look™ y’all know the one

“Looks to me like someone read Ovid a few too many times.” BELLAMY BLAKE AKA #1 NERD STRIKES AGAIN (but seriously that line was so freaking funny Octavia looks like a scolded puppy phadkwinskakq)

“She even had time to flip me the bird.” askakdniqnqkd I stan him (and Raven)

“Go-Sci’s monstrously hideous, one-legged goalie attempts to defend.” Guys, I’ve discovered the greatest example of verbal irony ever breathed on this show. 

BUT REAL TALK, that soccer scene was SO CUTE. Like, this is what I missed? These small, joyful moments? I honestly think the last one of these truly playful moments we got was possible the car scene in 3x01. It’s been far too long. But they’re so important to break up the tension.

PULL THE LEVER, KROOOOOOONK

When Octavia was shot by that thing I was totally NOT expecting that. The first time I watched the episode I literally jumped up and just went “OHHHHHHHHHHH SHIT”. That is honestly one of the most trippily filmed scenes this show has done. Octavia is losing her shit. This show has really upped the game with how they film explosion scenes.

Listen, I know we aren’t supposed to be rooting for Eligius but I honestly like them, guys. Like I’ve only seen a few episodes of them and I would already die for both Zeke (yes, you read that right - ZEKE) and Diyoza. They both probably make my top five favourite characters. THEY JUST FASCINATE ME. (And come on, Zeke is just so lovable?) 

TO BE HONEST, I don’t care if they win that valley! Fuck, I want them to. I really hope that we get some of our mains teaming up with Eligius this season. That would be the greatest plot twist they could do, having the “bad guys” become the “heroes” (even though neither of those things really exist on this show)

Also, I just want to say: I counted TEN hugs in this episode guys. That has GOT to be a new record.

Ending the episode with one of Bellamy and Clarke’s “what the fuck we gonna do now” looks was the best thing they could have done. Feels like old times. *war flashbacks*

Also, I have something to say. Y’all know I don’t much care for Octavia but i actually think her costume this season is pretty cool. But one thing for your consideration ...

SO. After having actually seen the first four episodes for myself, I think that what the reviewers have said about these being the strongest string of episodes this show has done might have some truth to it. (Although, imo, Season 1 and Season 2 could rival it.) This season has been solid so far, and I’m really excited for all the freaky shit that’s going to go down next episode. The story is picking up!

What are YOUR favorite movies lol

Thanks for the ask fam!!I just wanna start this ask out by stating that I am movie TRASH, I would gladly watch some of my favorite movies that I know all the dialogue to than a new tv show any day. I’m going to try to keep this list fairly small since I do have a lot of favorite movies, and limit myself to just two Disney animated movies. Okay let’s kick this list off:

1)Dirty Dancing (1987)Patrick Swayze. The 1960s. What more could you want?? This movie is the reason Be My Baby is one of my favorite songs of all time. I especially watch it a lot in the summer since it is a summer movie. And I really hope I get me a man someday that’s willing to learn the dance for our wedding

2)Forrest Gump (1994)I. Love. Tom. Hanks. And this is my favorite movie he’s in. I quote it every time it rains (big ol’ fat rain) and I love the score. Also a period movie! You’ll notice a pattern here that a lot of my favorite movies have scores that mean a lot to me or are period movies

3)Mary Poppins (1964)I’ve loved this movie since I was little and my love has only deepened with age. A lot of it has to do with my connection to Feed the Birds and Walt. In my opinion this was his greatest work. And since Saving Mr. Banks came out, I’ve only come to love it even more. I never cried in MP before seeing SMB, but now I do. This movie holds a special place in my heart

4)The Parent Trap (1998)Lindsay Lohan. This is the favorite movie of me and my sister AND one of my best friends. Another movie I know most of the dialogue to and the reason I love Dennis Quaid??? Again, I love the score. This movie has everything do I even need to elaborate?

5)Finding Nemo (2003)First animated movie on this list but I would gladly make a list of just Disney/Pixar!!! This one is kinda hard for me to explain? I feel like one day I was just watching it EVERY time it was on tv and suddenly got so excited to see it. Then I realized, oh I guess this is my favorite Pixar movie? I know the ENTIRE script and the score puts my heart at ease. But ironically it’s the only Pixar movie I do not cry while watching? Also DORY, that is all

6)Meet the Robinsons (2007)This damn movie. The story. The score. The FANDOM. Joining tumblr and finding this fandom fueled my love for this movie if nothing else. This fandom is so open and welcoming and I couldn’t feel prouder to be a member of the robinson clan!! Again, I know all the dialogue, and Keep Moving Forward was my senior quote. I watch this movie probably once every other month or when I’m feeling sad

7)The Great Muppet Caper (1981)I am Muppet trash and I have no shame. This is my FAVORITE Muppet movie for many many reasons. It’s so damn FUNNY. It’s the first movie where they’re playing characters, but they’re still themselves. For example, Kermit and Fozzie are BROTHERS, not just brothers but TWINS and boy do they USE THAT GAG. In my opinion this is the best Muppet movie script and it has some of my favorite Muppet music

8)Mermaids (1990)Winona Ryder. Cher. The 1960s!!! When period movies are done accurately then the plot doesn’t really matter to me, but I truly love this movie. A dysfunctional single mom just trying to raise her kids while her oldest daughter has her first sexual awakening. A+++

9)Pleasantville (1998)The first time I watched this I had the flu, and I think after that I watched it every week for a month. It’s just so good? And so underrated in my opinion! Another favorite score and another period movie, can you blame me?

10)Coraline (2009)My FAVORITE stop motion movie of all time. This movie is so damn creepy but I love it anyway. Just read the book recently too, kinda the same but kinda different. This movie is so cool to me Bc it has the moments of almost complete silence where you can just appreciate the animation. It’s so beautifully animated

Ashley Sarah: It seemed like one of your closest allies was taken out last tribal. You also received your first vote of the game. How does this make you feel? Any impact on how you will approach the rest of the game?

It sucks losing your ride or die but you gotta go on. At this point I have to think about how to stay in and what's best for me moving forward.

Duncan: How have you been coping with the messiness that has been the running theme of these merge tribal councils?

I've just been enjoying my time on the island tbh. Like I don't know how to keep up but I'm trying to! And hopefully I'm not he worst at keeping up. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the slowest person.

JC: You seemed to be at the center of a vote controversy after the results of last tribal came out. Do you expect any repercussions from that?

WELL, https://mobile.twitter.com/EmperorxKen/status/684894353991557120/video/1 But seriously, I do expect repercussions. I got caught in a lie, but this is SURVIVOR. I know for a fact half the cast has lied and everyone has plotted and schemed. So, I'm hoping that the repercussions I face don't result in me leaving and I'm gonna do everything I can to ensure I don't.

Jeff: You won immunity for the third time in a row omg wig. Do you think this paints a target on your back? How important is loyalty to your game?

I think it probably does put a target on my back but I think there is probably one on it already. Loyalty is super important to my game bc it makes me determine who I want to keep around in the game!

Karen: You were pretty flagrantly called out by Matthias after last tribal council. Do you feel this put a target on your back? Have you and Matthias mended fences? Or are the wounds still fresh?

Matthias? I don't know ha

Nicholas: You were at the monastery during the mess that was last tribal council. What were your thoughts when you returned to camp? Shook? Happy?

i mean i was pretty shook when i came back because i definitely missed a lot while i was away with the monks! I’m excited to be back though because i was hella bored!

Matthias: So you were DQ’d from the immunity challenge. Did you feel discouraged? Did you feel like you really needed it?

First I gave up, then I didn't but now I rlly just wanna leave again because no one rlly likes me and I can't win a comp but w/e

Zakriah: It seems like you’ve been playing the UTR / “use me as a vote” strategy for a good portion of this game. Any big plans or major switch ups in strategy to come?
