Honestly I don’t follow jjk anymore. But last I heard was that gojo apparently described death as a relief and release. Why would it be a happy ending for a person who clearly saw his own existence as a prison back to life? Unless curses were eradicated and Gojo no longer had to use his abilities to protect people or raise the next generation of sorcerers I’d just be like “this guy doesn’t wanna be here :/“ Idk, maybe I’m being too pessimistic about this whole thing. Or maybe there’s new information about Gojo’s perspective in chapters after where I dropped off.

tbh i genuinely dont think gojo saw his life as a prison, he was just pissed at the way jujutsu society operated and this makes sense considering how it drove suguru off a cliff and then essentially forced him to end the mans life a decade later.

also perhaps the way he Couldn’t (i mean physically he very much always could) just eliminate the brass. This is ofc exactly what he does later but the idea is he felt he shouldn’t because it would really screw things up™️

did everyone use him as kinda a tool, um ya likely they did. he is the strongest they’re gonna rely on him for a lot. but i kinda don’t like this idea that No one cared for him because they very evidently did. he’s just really annoying and no one should tell him that on principle or something idk.

every time I listen to rewrite the stars I feel the urge to write a satosugu fix it ... I mean I have one. in my head. but I haven't written it because I'm like...how willing am I to write a fic that ignores canon to THAT level i.e. the part where kenjaku had his eye on suguru literally the moment he entered the jujutsu world, the fact that he didn't even need suguru's body to curse tsumiki and the others who fell into a coma, etc. hahaa

ahhhhh I’m so glad you liked exception!!! It’s one of my favorite fics that I’ve ever worked on.I feel like I typically make my mcs non sorcerers. Just regular people living regular lives. I’m not a big fan of sorcerer MCs. With very few exceptions, most of my MCs are damsels in distress. soooo for that fic the mc gets pretty much threatened into being Suguru-chans precious house pet!!! I feel like since the mc meet Suguru pre-him losing his mind….the mc feels a bit of sympathy that turned into slight stolkholm syndrome. Not exactly romantic love, but more like pity-fear that keeps the mc in line. Eventually the mc would accept that you’re nothing more than a cult leaders pretty trophy wife and he’s pretty well off so it’s not all that bad…

at least nanako and himiko are happy. Despite your fear of Suguru… the girls make things a tiny bit more bearable. Also you won’t be expected to turn into Suguru’s breed-mare or anything mostly cuz he’s already a happy dad of two and also….a part of him is somewhat worried that any kids he has with you might turn out to be non-sorcerers. He might love you but you are the ONLY exception. Any potential kids, that are non-sorcerers, he won’t rlly tolerate.

Also if you think about it, Geto has more morality than like 90% of the sorcerers we meet. Sure, his morality is skewed but he actually has things he believes in. His whole arc is that he considers if he truly believes humanity is worth saving, decides "nah" and then sticks with that for the next decade. Even Gojo thinks the whole "protecting the weak" thing is bullshit but he was still a sorcerer.

Yuuta doesn't necessarily disagree with Geto (he mentions that he's not sure if Geto is right or wrong but he doesn't care either way), he was just trying to not get killed by the guy.

The only other person who consistently has morals they stick with (even when it's difficult) is Yuuji.
