Non-Urusei Yatsura fans, which of these IS NOT an actual character? (Answers)
The poll is over and thanks to all who voted since it's pretty fun to see how UY characters may seem from an outsider's POV! And since many were curious, here are the answers for the poll. The characters are listed in no particular order, except for the last who will be the fake one so if you just want the actual answer, just scroll down to the end; and since the poll was aimed at non-UY fans, I'll provide context for the real characters' descriptions so there will be character spoilers ahead!!
A cow monster, who is also the most handsome character in the series.
This is Rei, the female lead (Lum)'s ex-fiancee. The description I gave may sound kinda weird but it probably wouldn't sound as weird if I had stated that he has two forms: one being a mostly humanoid form and the other which is the cow monster one. He swaps between forms at random, mostly depending on his mood and comedic timing.
A princess who wants to lose her virginity.
This is Princess Kurama. She's the princess of the alien race, the Karasutengu (Crow Goblins). Since her royal line was fading away because there were no more humanoid men on her planet, Kurama decided to find a suitable man to mate with, but has no luck when it comes to that since her standards are way too high for the any of the males in the series.
A fire breathing bumblebee.
This is Ten. Like his cousin Lum, he is an oni alien and his abilities are to fly and breathe fire. Ten ended up getting a good number of votes in the poll and I'm guessing it's because people thought I meant a literal bumblebee. I gave that description to poke fun at his character design and I'm pretty sure most UY fans were able to recognize him from the description, and his resemblance to bees has been stated in canon too. But if you did vote Ten because you thought he was an actual bee, I am so sorry, please don't kill me, I should have added the word 'alien' or 'kid' to the description.
A school nurse who regularly beats up her male students.
This is Sakura. She is a shrine maiden and a school nurse at the main high school in the series. I don't think I need to give much of an explanation for her description; she's hot and all the male students are horny so it shouldn't be a surprise that she beats them all up.
A woman hater whose diet consists of baseballs.
This is Tobimaro Mizunokoji. He hates women, which is most likely a result of spending time with his rival's sister who treated him horribly when they were children (and she still does, by the way; we'll talk about her next). Oh, and as the description says, he can eats baseballs whole.. and is able to spit them out entirely too.
A teenage girl who kills boredom by plotting and attempting murder.
This is Ryoko Mendo. She is a rich, well mannered young lady and her favorite hobby is torturing her big brother and his rival (aka baseball boy from above) in many different ways for fun. I wanted to add a bit more to explain exactly how sadistic she is but the wiki does it better, so have that instead:
She will throw grenades and bombs at people while acting calm and composed, and yet will cry over them when they return to her charred to a crisp. She often acts in total secrecy without telling anyone of her plans, such as setting bombs in a giant Christmas Cake, turning a giant Christmas Tree into a firework, and retaliating to people by setting off bombs near them. She also shows an interest in black magic, having used hypnosis and voodoo dolls to torment her brother.
So yeah, she's fucking insane and I love her for it. Have my favorite Ryoko image ever as a bonus:
A sheltered girl who ends up falling in love with her brother.
This is Asuka Mizunokoji, younger sister of baseball boy from above. I feel like her she needs the most context since I think this might be the most questionable description of them all.
As per tradition, the women in the Mizunokoji family are not allowed to meet a single male until they are 15, this includes their father and brother; which is the case for Asuka. Because she has never seen a man, she doesn't know what they are (or anything that falls under 'men', like father, brother, etc.) and was raised in isolation by her mother and her family's all female guards. But her first, unfortunate encounter with a man, which happened before the arranged day ends up terrifying her and as a result, she gets a phobia of men, no matter who they are... unless they are a 'big brother'. You see, when her female guards' explained to her what men are, they unintentionally had them sound.. scary; but they also tell her about 'big brothers' (since she'll have to meet hers) who are a special type of man who look like her and are very nice. Eventually, she finally meets her big brother, Tobimaro (who didn't even know she existed till then by the way), but since the description on what a 'big brother' given to her was incredibly vague and because she has no knowledge of how siblings work, she ends up falling for him unaware of how big of a taboo it is. Naturally, it is a one-sided crush since Tobimaro knows better but that won't change the fact that it causes a lot of trouble for him.
Ok, I'll stop here because that took forever to write. Also, I took some help to write the above part from Asuka's page on furinkan.com, I needed a reference for the entire paragraph because Asuka and her shtick needs one hell of an explanation.
A TV addict with zero social skills.
This is Shingo. He is a boy who went missing during an experiment when he was small and because of that, he grew up by himself (asides from some animals) in a jungle. His only source of entertainment there was a TV, which only has historical dramas. As a result, he became very attached to TVs (he used to think the TV was his grandfather, and no I will not explain), even after he was found and brought back to society. He is also terrible at socializing since he grew up on Japanese historical dramas which are incredibly outdated. He is already weak when it comes to interacting with men, but he is the worst when it comes to interacting with woman since he has no respect towards them (again, because historical dramas). I find it funny he got a lot of votes and according to tags, it's because his description sounded more normal than the others, which makes it even funnier because he's like the only character who actually watches TV (asides from watching TV during lunchtime and stuff).
A cowardly kid who aims for a life of crime.
And here it is, the fake one! With how many characters there are, it was hard to come up with someone (for some reason, I can't be creative when I really want to be) but after I posted the poll I realized that there is a minor character who fits half of the description: He is a kid who aims for a life of crime, but he is pretty strong willed and isn't exactly what you would call cowardly or timid (His name is Kintaro, in case you are wondering- he is only in the manga and 80's adaptation).
And that is all! Thanks for joining me here and I hope you have a great day ahead!!

Friendly reminder of the Urusei Yatsura manga!
It's a canon fact that Ataru keeps a diary. Like a legitimate diary, not a journal. And in the manga when people find out about this they instantly call him weird or laugh at him (Mendo, it's Mendo who laughs at him). All except for one person.
Lum.
In fact Lum does the opposite of laughing at this fun fact.
She gets angry on Ataru's behalf.
Even back before these two had their understanding of one another and were closer than ever, she still stood up for Ataru and Ataru stood up for her when it really came down to it.
Just.......they're perfect your honor I rest my case.

OTD: Waco, Okla, Columbine...
TODAY IN HISTORY 1775 The American Revolutionary War began with the battles of Lexington and Concord.
1897 The first Boston Marathon was held; winner John J. McDermott ran the course in two hours, 55 minutes and 10 seconds.
1943 During World War II, tens of thousands of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto began a valiant but ultimately futile uprising against Nazi forces.
1993 The 51-day siege at the Branch Davidian compound near Waco ended as fire destroyed the structure after federal agents began smashing their way in; about 80 people, including two dozen children and sect leader David Koresh, were killed.
1995 Timothy McVeigh, seeking to strike at the government he blamed for the 1993 Waco deaths, destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people. (McVeigh was convicted of federal murder charges and executed in 2001.)
COLUMBINE SHOOTING 25 YEARS LATER
‘The full cost of these tragedies’
On eve of massacre anniversary, survivors to attend candlelight vigil
DENVER — Hours after she escaped the Columbine High School shooting, 14-year-old Missy Mendo slept between her parents in bed, still wearing the shoes she had on when she fled her math class. She wanted to be ready to run.
Twenty-five years later, and with Mendo now a mother herself, the trauma from that horrific day remains close on her heels.
It caught up to her when 60 people were shot dead in 2017 at a country music festival in Las Vegas, a city she had visited a lot while working in the casino industry.
Then again in 2022, when 19 students and two teachers were shot and killed in Uvalde.
Mendo had been filling out her daughter’s pre-kindergarten application when news of the elementary school shooting broke.
She read a few lines of a news story about Uvalde, then put her head down and cried.
“It felt like nothing changed,” she recalls thinking.
In the quarter-century since two gunmen at Columbine shot and killed 12 fellow students and a teacher in suburban Denver — an attack that played out on live television and ushered in the modern era of school shootings — the traumas of that day have continued to shadow Mendo and others who were there.
Some needed years to view themselves as Columbine survivors since they were not physically wounded.
Yet things like fireworks could still trigger disturbing memories.
The aftershocks — often unacknowledged in the years before mental health struggles were more widely recognized — led to some survivors suffering insomnia, dropping out of school, or disengaging from their spouses or families.
Survivors and other members of the community plan to attend a candlelight vigil on the steps of the state’s capitol Friday night, the eve of the shooting’s anniversary.
Saturday, April 20, is 4/20 — an informal holiday for marijuana users. Even if you don’t partake in cannabis-related activities, you might be wondering…
Why is 4/20 associated with weed?
There are many theories about why '4/20' is associated with marijuana, some with more validity than others.
Perhaps the most plausible origin story comes from five teenagers in a California high school.
One rumor, which has been proven false, is that '420' is code among police officers for 'marijuana smoking in progress.'
Another points to a vague reference in a 1966 Bob Dylan song.
Popular lore ties the birth of '4/20' to a group of high schoolers attending Northern California’s San Rafael High School in the early 1970s.
The five teens – Steve Capper, Dave Reddix, Jeffrey Noel, Larry Schwartz and Mark Gravich – became known as the 'Waldos' because they met by a wall.
The students met at 4:20 p.m. by the statue of chemist Louis Pasteur to smoke weed, presumably because most extracurricular activities had ended by that time.
'We weren’t stupid stoners,' Capper, 68, an original Waldo said, pointing to a certificate for exceptional achievement and citizenship he received in school.
The Waldos engaged in after-school activities like sports and studying, so 4:20 was chosen as the time the group could all meet up.
The rest is history.
'We got tired of the Friday-night football scene with all of the jocks,' Reddix told TIME Magazine in 2017. 'We were the guys sitting under the stands smoking a doobie, wondering what we were doing there.'
Reddix would later work with Phil Lesh, the bass guitarist for the rock band 'The Grateful Dead.'
According to TIME Magazine, the band popularized the term.
On Dec. 28, 1990, a group of the band’s fans, known as 'Deadheads,' passed out flyers in north California encouraging people to smoke on April 20 at 4:20 p.m.
One of the flyers was published in cannabis-culture magazine High Times.

LGBTQ Travelers Venture to Places Where Being Gay Is Illegal
A romantic island getaway in the Maldives. A safari in Kenya. A visit to the pyramids in Egypt. Apart from being popular on bucket lists, these vacations have one thing in common: Their destinations have strict anti-L.G.B.T.Q. legislation. In the Maldives, gay sex may be punished with lashes and up to eight years in prison. In Kenya, it can bring a sentence of up to 14 years. And in Egypt, the authorities are known to throw people in jail for simply waving a rainbow flag. Paradoxically, these trips are also all offered by travel companies founded by and catering to members of the L.G.B.T.Q. community. In interviews, the founders of four of these companies, which take a combined total of 3,000 tourists — most of them American — abroad each year, said they were providing a safe way to meet a growing demand for trips to countries that criminalize L.B.G.T.Q. people. “I’m gay and I want to visit these places,” said Darren Burn, the founder of Out of Office, an inclusive luxury travel company. “And if I want to visit these places, then there are other gay people who do, too. So if we can enable them to do it in a fun, exciting and safe way, then that’s exactly what we’re here for.”
A world that isn’t always friendly
By some metrics, certain L.G.B.T.Q. Americans have it easier when it comes to planning their next trip. Same-sex couples tend to have more disposable income because they are less likely to have children and more likely to both be employed, according to census data. Married gay men have the most spending power, with a median household income that is more than $25,000 higher than their straight and lesbian counterparts. Even so, being out and getting out can be at odds in a world where many places are hostile — and sometimes outright dangerous. “There is no place on earth where you can be 100 percent safe while being L.G.B.T.Q., at least while expressing it,” said Lucas Ramón Mendos, a lawyer and the research coordinator at ILGA World, an L.G.B.T.Q. human rights group. “What we can say for certain is that where there is a legal framework that strictly, explicitly criminalizes certain expressions, the likelihood of getting into trouble is a lot higher.” According to ILGA World maps that track the world’s sexual orientation laws, there are still more than 60 countries that criminalize consensual same-sex relations. Punishments range from incarceration to the death penalty. Uganda notably just enacted a law calling for life in prison for anyone convicted of having gay sex, and in some cases even death. Scratching those countries off the list of possible destinations shrinks the globe dramatically: parts of Asia, more than half of African countries, and practically the entire Middle East — with the exceptions of Israel and Jordan — become off-limits. (And that’s not even taking into account countries like China and Russia that target L.G.B.T.Q. people indirectly, by censoring speech, for example.) Yet L.G.B.T.Q. travel companies frequently visit such places. “I’ve never had an issue. I haven’t heard of anyone having issues,” said Bryan Herb, co-founder of Zoom Vacations, which operates small tours in countries such as Kenya, the Maldives, and Morocco, all places where gay sex can bring prison terms. “There’s no there there.”
Safer for some than for others
While U.S. diplomatic missions help Americans who get in trouble abroad, Angela Kerwin, a senior official at the Bureau of Consular Affairs, said they do not collect data in a way that would allow them to track cases involving L.G.B.T.Q. travelers specifically. “The laws that criminalize L.G.B.T.Q. status or conduct around the world are more often than not used to target and punish people from the country in question,” said Jessica Stern, the U.S. special envoy to advance the human rights of L.G.B.T.Q.I.+ persons. “That’s not to say that L.G.B.T.Q. Americans and their families aren’t at risk when they travel, but we are not the primary targets of those laws.” (For Americans who also carry a passport from the country they’re visiting, this guidance might not be as straightforward, Ms. Kerwin said. They might be treated as citizens by the local authorities.) None of the four travel company founders reported any clients who’d had legal run-ins, though some mentioned minor brushes with locals. Their clientele tends to be older and male, with transgender travelers a rarity. Safety concerns can be especially daunting for transgender people headed abroad. They already face hurdles to updating travel documents and are more likely to live in poverty than other L.G.B.T.Q. people. “I have recently had a flight canceled and they were rerouting me through a very hostile country for L.G.B.T.Q. folks, and I was going to be laid over there for nine hours,” said Jay Brown, a senior executive for the Human Rights Campaign, who is transgender. He asked not to name the country for fear it could hurt working relationships with advocates in the region. “If I had a health care emergency in that country, I don’t know what would happen to me,” he said. Mr. Brown ended up taking three trains and three flights in 26 hours to avoid the layover. “I ran from gate to gate at every airport, and ran from train to train,” he said. “My bag, of course, was not at my destination.” Most countries that criminalize same-sex relations lack a legal and regulatory framework when it comes to gender transition. “I wouldn’t say that because these laws target only homosexual acts, that transgender people are safe,” said Mr. Mendos. “It’s exactly the opposite, actually.”
Pink money in a gray zone
Many countries may just depend on the influx of tourist dollars so much that they’re willing to give tourists — whether straight or gay — special treatment. The tourism industry is a top contributor to Kenya’s gross domestic product and accounts for more than half a million jobs in Morocco. Hospitality also drives the economy in the Maldives, where three local men recently received prison sentences for having homosexual relations, while dozens more have been investigated. “In every country on earth, the law doesn’t necessarily match the reality,” said Mr. Burn, whose company offers package deals for symbolic same-sex marriages and honeymoons in the Maldives, which start at around $5,000 per person. “You know, it’s illegal to drink alcohol in the Maldives, but you go to every resort and you can drink alcohol.” It’s in that gray zone that L.G.B.T.Q. travel companies operate. Yet when they’re lining up suppliers and hiring local workers, they are anything but ambiguous. Robert Driscoll, who has run the small-tour operator Venture Out since 1998, said that to avoid unpleasant surprises, it was important to be “clear with suppliers about what the nature of the group is and making sure that they’re OK with it.” He said that years ago, when he first started taking gay Americans abroad, it wasn’t uncommon for his inquiries to suppliers to go unanswered. Now, he receives emails daily courting his business, some from unexpected places. “We would love the opportunity to work with your organization to create tailored itineraries for your LGBTQ+ travelers in Tanzania,” read a recent email he received from a small safari operator. Under a colonial-era law, Tanzania punishes consensual gay sex with up to life in prison, and in April, the government shut down thousands of websites and social media accounts linked to gay groups and people. Neighboring Kenya, also a popular safari destination, has recently experienced a rise in anti-L.G.B.T.Q. violence. Safaris are among the most expensive trips L.G.B.T.Q. travel companies offer, with prices running into the five digits. Mr. Driscoll, who has led many groups to watch wildlife in Africa, said he recently had a same-sex couple cancel their trip to Tanzania after reading a travel advisory on the State Department website warning travelers about “targeting of L.G.B.T.I. persons.” The Tanzania Tourist Board, as well as the tourism agencies of the other countries discussed in this article, did not reply to requests for comment.
Weighing the risks and ethics
Ms. Kerwin of the Bureau of Consular Affairs said prospective travelers should go beyond the State Department travel advisories and read the agency’s yearly human rights report, which includes detailed information on the situation of L.G.B.T.Q. rights for each country. “Never can you cover every eventuality,” she said. “But if you’re informed, then you can make a decision as to whether or not you actually want to travel to that country.” “Any legal and safety information we provide to clients before they pay us a deposit,” said Robert Sharp, a co-founder of Out Adventures, a small-tour operator based in Canada that serves a largely American clientele. “It is our moral and legal obligation to allow them to decide if it is right for them.” All travel companies surveyed for this article strongly recommend that clients take out travel insurance, and some even require it. Out of Office and Out Adventures also offer 24-hour hotlines to respond to clients’ questions and emergencies. Yet travel companies are not legal firms, and they say that the best they can do is give travelers enough information to make an informed decision. Out Adventures clearly states the laws and limitations of each destination on its website. When traveling to Tanzania, for example, clients are advised to practice discretion since “even heterosexual PDAs are frowned upon,” referring to public displays of affection. The page for Out Adventures’ tour to Egypt, including a Nile River cruise and snorkeling in the Red Sea starting at $5,495 per traveler, explains that “gay dating apps should be avoided” and discourages clients from trying to participate in the “underground gay scene” of the larger cities. The Egyptian authorities have been reported to harass and entrap members of the L.G.B.T.Q. community on social media and torture those in custody. “Not only do we want to protect the group,” Mr. Sharp said, “but we don’t want to put anyone in the local queer community in a situation where they could be at risk because they’re seen with this group of obvious homosexuals.” Gurchaten Sandhu, ILGA World’s director of programs, warned of the dangers of “advocacy tourism,” where travelers get involved in activism at their destination, possibly jeopardizing not only themselves but also those they leave behind when their vacation is over. Calling for travelers to boycott a country could also have unexpected adverse outcomes, Mr. Mendos of ILGA World and others cautioned. While the impulse often stems a desire to help, Ms. Stern said, pushing for this kind of action without making sure L.G.B.T.Q. rights groups in the country stand behind it could lead to a backlash against local L.G.B.T.Q. people and “do more harm than good.” Choosing to visit, on the other hand — even if you can’t be as out as you might want to be — may still have a positive impact on L.B.G.T.Q. people’s lives, at least indirectly. “The travel industry in country after country is often one of the places where L.G.B.T.Q. people seek out jobs and find employment because there is heightened tolerance,” Ms. Stern said.
Quietly promoting change
There is no shortage of companies to pick from when planning a vacation to countries like Kenya, Egypt or the Maldives, but L.G.B.T.Q. travel providers say what sets them apart from mainstream options is not only that they make their clients feel welcome and safe, but also that they direct their resources to handpicked, queer-friendly businesses. “We are putting money in the pockets of more progressive-thinking people and organizations that in the long run can contribute to progress by our definition,” said Mr. Sharp. Additionally, he said, Out Adventures has donated “quietly, behind the scenes” to local L.G.B.T.Q. organizations in countries where being gay is illegal, and is currently giving $50 per traveler to Rainbow Railroad, a nonprofit organization that helps L.G.B.T.Q. people escape state-sponsored violence. Out of Office has a similar program, Mr. Burn said, though he wouldn’t go into detail, citing concerns about the safety of those receiving the donations. Ultimately, Mr. Driscoll of Venture Out said, the decision about whether to avoid travel to certain destinations based on principle was a deeply personal one that travelers had to make for themselves. “It’s easy to feel outraged,” said Mr. Mendos of ILGA World. “I think that that’s a sound reaction. But people should be aware that change doesn’t happen overnight.” Follow New York Times Travel on Instagram and sign up for our weekly Travel Dispatch newsletter to get expert tips on traveling smarter and inspiration for your next vacation. Dear bloody past.
Warning ⚠: short mention of blood, violence, gore, swearing and weapons.
If you are sensitive to any of this, please do not read.
Type: détective, fantastic.
Synopsis: Julie is a human girl who can see ghost under some circumstances. She assembled a group of people in a city where authorities don't have any power. She will try to remember, but what does she want to remember.
Komi is a swan and duck hybrid, yellow wings of swan and white duck tail with a nasty burn on half of his face. He is a police officer student who is send in internship. He come from a good city named Lordnew and will have to get used to the poor environment.
They will meet each other, and have to understand their point of view.
Yet, something moves in the shadows.
Komi looked at the photo in his hands, before gazing back at the structure in front of him. Comparing it with the picture, he could tell how time affected it. The construction was supposed to be a manor, but half of it had collapsed. Vines climbed the wall, infiltrating the black bricks. The roof missed som parts. The windows of the third floors were missing. Yet he knew it was here.
He knocked on the door. Hearing footsteps approaching, he took a step back. A red haired man with sunglasses opened. The man had old style clothes on him.
"Welcome to N.A.C.S or something like that, I suppose you are the new one ?"
"Yes, I am Komi Scott."
He extended his hand, but the man sipped on his drink, that appeared out of nowhere, ignoring it.
'Rude man' was thinking Komi. The man goes back in the manor. He followed him inside, looking around him. The rooms had red walls decaying and wooden floor. Pictures of ladies and lord were suspended on the walls. The furniture were old, dust covering them.
Finally, they stopped in a huge room who looked like one of those business desk room with computers. People stopped working when they stepped in the room, looking at them.
"Welcome, I suppose." Said the red haired man, giving him a badge, that appeared out of nowhere too.
"This is the squad. Only the boss is out, doing some human things is suppose. You should present yourself in front of everybody. I hope you don't have social anxiety or things like that."
Komi answered with no before walking at the center of the room.
"Hello, my name Komi Scott, I am a hybrid swan and duck. I am twenty years old and I am here for my final stage of one year."
Everyone in the room stand up and walked to him. The first to arrive was a little girl with cotton candy hair and grey eyes. She had two little withe horns popping out of her head. She wore a simple pink dress with a green jacket. She opened her mouth and...
"Hello, lowly one, I am the mighty dragon, Sandra. I am the older of this crew and the most knowledgeable one too."
"Stop boosting your ego Sandra." Said a woman who looked a lot like the first man except the fact that she didn't have sunglasses. Her short red hair where shoulder length. He could see her red eyes shining. She wore black warm clothes.
"I'm Meredith Merra. I am a vampire. The man that opened the door is my older brother, Joseph, he is a vampire too." She said, pointing at the redhead. Said man shrugged, looking down, his arms crossed on his chest.
Komi nodded his head, showing that he understood. Two other persons come in front of him.
"Hello kid, I am Kristof Sendrez, a werewolf. I am thirty three years old. I came from a small town on the border of Marequa." The one who presented himself was a blue haired man with a three day beard. He looked gentle and kind. He had warm brown eyes. He was tall, at least 6,9 feet.
The last one was a green cyclops. Their only eye was dark green. They had short purple hair fading to bright pink, with a flash blue wick. They had a red beanie. They were dressed with colored clothes.
"My name is Mendos foret, I am a twenty seven." That's all they said before hiding behind Kristof.
"Yay, now you know all of us. Good. Your desk is on the right of Kristof." Said Joseph. He seemed displeased. Komi didn't know why.
He walked to his desk, sitting on his chair. He looked at the stuff on it. His gaze locked on a sign saying 'Edward Hens', with dust on it. Before he could ask, a green hand took it.
"The last one that was on this desk....dead." Is all they said.
"Alright."
One or two hours passed. He worked on some documents about public park or intruder. Suddenly, a murder case and picture of a body appeared. The head was cut from the corpse, packed in paper like a gift with a red rubon. The deceased person was opened, organs out. His blood was utilized like ink to write some illegible words. A gun was posed in his hand.
Komi was disgusted how could a living beings do this another one ? He has never see a body this mutilated after the accident.
Joseph having seen his troubled expression, come by.
"Damn, 'though they erased it from the demand. This case is resolved."
"This is so... brutal."
"'Know, but here it's normal. That's also the case that made your desk free."
Komi looked at him. Hi sunglasses were on his head, making his red eyes apparent.
"How could you talk about your partner like that ?!"
"HEY ! Bastard, you don't even know our relationship. If you knew at least a bit of this history, you would shut up. Trust me, it was even more brutal before..."
"Maybe, bit still-"
Before they could argue any longer, the door opened again. A girl with blond hair in a ponytail walked in. She had plastic bags in her hands. It smelled like food. She calmly dropped the bags on the floor. Looking at the at the two of them, she said.
"What the hell is happening here ?"
Angry golden eyes locked in icy and tired blue one.
"Nothing boss, just the newbie seeing his first death case. Can't understand how I'm talking about my ex co-workers or is just too dumb."
"HEY, I'm not dumb !"
"Alright, shut the fuck up, the two of you." She added, seeing the redhead opening his mouth.
"I'm not in the mood for your bad bitching or whatever you call it."
"What...?" Joseph harbored a fake hurted face.
"Anyway, Komi, I think. I'm gonna present myself, but only once. I am Julie Foret. I am a twenty six year old human and the creator of this squad and so your boss. You will have to learn the fucking laws of this LoVeLy town... That was sarcasm. Now, I am gonna get myself a cup of coffee."
She left the room. Sandra approached Komi.
"Do not worry about them, boss is always like that and Josep, it is only because it is the beginning. He just need time for his mourning. The old one on your desk was close to him, even if he won't say it."
"Oh...I see."
Komi returned on his computer, working yet still shaken by the recent events. At the end of the day, a pâle hand got on his shoulder. He jumped, frightened.
"Whoa, I'm sorry if I have frightened you."
It was Meredith, her white skin was shining at the light of candle.
"I have to show you your room."
"Ah.. what ? I can't come back home ?"
"No, no, no. It's just if you work late or if you are tired."
"Ah, alright."
She conducted him through stairs end corridor, stopping in front of a white door with the number eight on it.
Opening the door, entered in a old fashioned bedroom. The bedroom was white and green. The windows view was over a garden, in the back of the house.
"It's beautiful ! And it's so huge. I wish I had the same bedroom at my apartment."
"I know, I know. Had the same reaction when I first entered mine." She then pointed at a grey door.
"My room is this one, if you need anything. Kristof is number two, Mendos is number three and Joseph is five. The room one is boss chamber but she is never here, she always sleep on her desk."
"Alright."
"I guess, now I shall guide you to the exit."
They come back at the entrance. Before he could move, Meredith said one thing.
"Also, Joseph asked to told you that you smell like garlic, gun powder and idiocy."
"What...?" Was all komi could say before she close the door.
He got in his car, driving home. He was some miles from his house when finally he understood.
"THAT BASTARD !"
[It was more like presentation than anything, was thinking that a little of action could help. If anything bother you, tell me and I will fix it. Hope you had a good time reading it. Good night/day.]

Ok, PART 2 INCOMING.
just like before, this is going to be long, so it's going to be underneath the keep reading lol
ENJOY
-KODOMO NO OMOCHA
When I tell you that if you were an Italian teen and were watching this anime, YOU FOR SURE HAVE HAD YOUR HEART CRUSHED BUT THIS. CRUSHED. BECAUSE ERIK WAS *EVERYTHING*. Also, there are people who wanted Sana to end up with Ayato and people WHO LIED THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Gods, I remember the huge amounts of feelings this anime caused me because I was more or less the same age as the protagonists, also starting to nurse my first IRL crushes toward another classmate and this anime HIT HARD in the feelings fml.
-TOKYO MEW MEW
I loved this Anime so much as a teen because it was SO BEAUTIFULLY drawn and it was so colorful and adorable (but I don't know why, I found Ichigo to be insufferable. Like, I loved her design, because YES, the design is beautiful, but she as a character was insufferable, and I very much prefered Zakuro and Mint tbh. But I loved the mangaka's sense of fashion for the girls, it was just UGH so prettyyyyyy!!!
-KERORO GUNSO
ok this is probably one of THE MOST ridiculous manga I have ever read, but dear gods, I remember laughing SO MUCH. SO MUCH. I loved the design Keroro and the Platoon had, they were so cute, and Keroro is just SO STUPID but SO ADORABLE, you cannot help but find him endearing (though, poor Dororo, he is trying to keep this freaking squad from sinking lolol), and the story was just overall hilarious. To this day, one of my favourite still <3
-URUSEI YATSURA
MOVE.THE.FUCK.ASIDE. BECAUSE LUM IS MY PRINCESS. LOOK AT HER. JUST LOOK AT HER. SHE IS *EVERYTHING* AND SO MUCH MORE,BUT BOY OH BOY, I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY SHE WENT AFTER ATARU SO MUCH. Each time she gave him an electroshock I was like "YOU GO GIRL. THAT MOFO DOESN'T DESERVE YOU.* But then again, Mendo nor Rei were actually suitable partners for her, despite both of them going after her fml. Probably her best match was Benten, and fml I adored their relationship (the whole Oni vs Gods of Luck thing they had going on was my everything).
-RANMA 1/2
If I had one OTP, that one is Ranma and Akane, because DEAR GODS, I just cannot. The whole premise of this manga is something else entirely, and I will ALWAYS recommend everyone to read it because it's so worth it. Rumiko Takahashi did such a splendid job with the story and the characters (though my fave must be Kodachi and Ryoga. Like, I am sorry, but Ryoga is such an idiot, but such an adorable one, it's impossible not to love him, and Kodachi is THE QUEEN, with the whole rhythmic gymnastic thing she has going on. ADORE. But Happosai I would gladly burn with a torch. I HATED HIM so much. so much fml). Also fun fact, this was probably the first manga I ever bought, when I was 7-8 years old, always courtesy of my grandparents <3
-TOKIMEKI TONIGHT
NGL, Tokimeki Tonight holds a special place in my heart. I didn't discover it until they printed the manga in Italy in 2002, but ever since then it held my heart. I have a huge soft spot for the 80s style of drawing of the manga (70s and 80s Shoujo are just so beautiful, I adore), and Tokimeki Tonight is no exception. Plus, the story is SO CUTE and Ransie's family and their adventure are just so entertaining (I adore her mom and dad: like, a vampire and a she-wolf together? perfection!!!). This is another manga I would warmly recommend because it's just so super cute. Cheesy and humorous, exactly as I love it lolol.
-NANA
This is not a manga. This is not an anime. This is a WHOLE ASS MASTERPIECE. A MASTERPIECE. Gods, Ai Yazawa is the reason I am so conscious about fashion for my ocs, because, if you have read ANY manga she has written and drawn, you know why. Anyway, this story is just a literal wrench to the heart, from beginning to end, and this is without taking into consideration that it's not finished and will more likely remain incomplete😥😥😥 (and dear Gods, Hachi, you are such a freaking idiot, but I love you anyway. But if I ever catch Takumi, that bastard is going to get the snip snip from me. Bastard.)
-BERSERK
I have only one thing to say about Berserk: this manga/anime is TRAUMATIC. Like seriously, Kentaro Miura was not shy in traumatizing his characters and whatnot, but let me tell you something: if you ever want to approach Berserk, read about ALL the trigger warnings, because the story truly dwell in profound dark themes. I usually am able to read manga in one-go, but with Berserk I had to take several pauses because sometimes it was A LOT. That being said, Casca an Guts are my precious babies and deserve ALL THE SAFETY IN THIS WORLD. GRIFFITH, YOU BASTARD, I AM GOING TO TEAR YOUR BALLS AWAY FROM YOU. *starts wailing in a corner.*
-SHAMAN KING
I actually had to thank a dear friend from high school for discovering this manga. I remember we were in the same school but different classes, and she was always reading it, so one day she suggested me to read it and I WAS HOOKED. The whole concept is AMAZING, the story is HILARIOUS (when it's not too busy squashing your heart with absolute glee) and the characters are *perfection*. I honestly adore Rei and Bason (once more, emotionally constipated short king with one hell of a temper), especially Bason in his spirit form. He was adorable lolol.
-OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB
Ok this is another one I ABSOLUTELY recommend because it's downright HILARIOUS, and the drama/comedy/ shoujo thing that is going on is just *chef's kiss*. Tamaki and the Hitachiin twins are SUCH HUGE DORK AND IDIOTS, OMG, but they are so adorable. Though, my man there is Kyouya, the KING IN THE SHADOW. Honestly, if you want something light and hilarious to read, this is PERFECT. And the anime is SO WELL DRAWN. SO WELL DRAWN. I adore.
-SUGAR SUGAR RUNE
THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THIS MANGA IS JUST SO PURELY ADORABLE. CHOCOLA IS SO CUTE, HER MOTHER CINNAMON IS SO BADASS and fml when I read the manga Glacier was *definitely* my type fml. ALSO, MOYOCO ANNO'S ARTSTYLE IS *FANTASTIC* and I absolutely *adore* the fashion style she has for the EVERYONE. I ADORE.
-OJAMAJO DOREMI
I might be biased, because I used to watch it with my baby sister, so i have many fond memories connected to this, BUT THIS IS PROBABLY THE CUTEST AND MOST ADORABLE ANIME EVER MADE. It's just so cute, the story is adorable, and I absolutely adored Momoko and Onpu, they were my babbus. And the Italian theme songs were ALL SO CATCHY AND BEAUTIFUL. Cristina D'Avena, you will forever be THE SINGER FML.
-VAMPIRE HUNTER D
And nothing. this is THE Dhampir. D is THE MAN. Honestly, if I were to start blabbering about Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, I would spend DAYS going over and over EVERY SINGLE MINUTE DETAIL, because dear Gods, this is Yoshitaka Amano style animated, and for my eyes is a FEAST each time I watch this movie. I just truly can't express into words what it means to me and the influence it had on 13 yo Nemo back then, the way it shaped my love for vampires and gothic atmosphere. Also, D is so freaking handsome, fml, between him and Vincent Valentine I would probably become incoherent lol.
-CLAMP SCHOOL DETECTIVE & MAN OF MANY FACES
I put these two together because the characters and the setting are the same, and I read them in tandem when I was younger, so to me they are kind of indivisible. The chapters in the manga are all self-conclusive, but the stories are just so cute, with the Nokoru, Suoh and Akira helping all "damsels in distress" around CLAMP Institute campus, they are just adorable (and I LIVED for their brief cameos as adults in X-1999. *inserts Leo DiCaprio gif pointing at something* I honestly enjoyed them thoroughly!
----------------------------------
Ok for now I am done with Part 2!
I will upload part 3 in the next few days lolol
Ok imma make a list of my fave animes and manga from when I was growing up., because I can. And if you are an Italian that grew up in the late 80s/early 90s watching TV, you'll find a crapton of those cartoons that were aired on Bim Bum Bam (so, Italia 1, Canale 5 and Rete 4 lolol) and on the smaller television channels (especially the one from the 80s ).
It's going to be A LONG ONE, probably divided in a couple of reblogs, because I am not kidding you all, I DEVOURED manga and anime when I was a child/teen lolol
As usual, they are in no particular order of preference: I am just writing them down as they come to my mind.
So without further ado, you will find the list beneath the "keep reading" lolol
-LADY OSCAR
When I say that this story shaped me as a person, I am not exaggerating. I always LOVED reading shoujos, but I never felt like I could relate to any of the heroines. I felt like I was never sweet enough, or feminine enough. Then, Oscar François de Jarjayes came along and dear gods, it was EVERYTHING my heart desired. I wanted to be her so badly: brave, strong, just and never afraid to be who I am. This story is my everything.
-X-1999
(the way Seishiro and Subaru's story had me BY THE THROAT even as a teen,I just cannot begin to explain. Gods, it was so twisted, but so SO GOOD. Seishiro and Subaru were just MY EVERYTHING. And do not let me start with Kakyou and Hotaru, my heart was WRENCHED. tbh, it would be fair to say that everything connected to the Sumeragi just grips my heart , especially after reading Tokyo Babylon. Gah, my heart).
-SLAYERS
RINA WAS MY EVERYTHING. Poweful, Sassy, independent, reckless and with a short temper??? like HELLO?? I connected to her so much fml (and child me shipperd her hard with Zelgadis, fml.). The Italian Theme song was just SO BEAUTIFUL, it was one of the many reasons I adored this anime so much.
-ROBIN HOOD
*takes deep breath* ok. I have a lot to unpack on this because I have this CLEAR core memory from when I was still in preschool and was watching this anime at my grandparents' home and I was just lost for Robin. COMPLETELY lost, and while I am known to have a penchant for being rather theatrical, now I am totally serious. fml this cartoon had such a huge influence on me, that I am still feeling it to this day, even in the way I design characters (like, I never realized how much Maid Marian actually resembled Dottie dear gods.)
- MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM WING
I usually do not care much for the Mecha genre tbh, it was never my favourite, but Mobile Suit was one of the few that I actually loved. And this was the Anime that made me go "yes, I love men with long hair fml (Duo, you bastard, I had such a huge crush on you. So yes, I am looking at you) and I love magnificent bastards (Treize I hate that I love you so much)", so I already knew there was no going back lol).
-SAILOR MOON
I talked extensively yesterday about HOW MUCH I love Sailor Moon, but dear gods let me reiterate. Sailor Moon IS my childhood. The amount of time I played pretend in school with my group of friends cannot even start to be counted. Adore. just ADORE.
- CHOBITS
(prepare yourself because you will see A CRAPTON of stuff from Clamp. They were my go to, along Rumiko Takahashi, Naoko Takeuchi and Ai Yazawa).
-CARD CAPTOR SAKURA
(this story was *everything* and i coveted so badly her card deck. like, the amount of time I redrew the card of Fire, Water, Light and Darkness because fml i adore Mokona's style so much, especially the one she had during that period of time).
-TSUBASA RESERVOIR CHRONICLE
(I am still trying to recover from THE HUGE HEADACHE this freaking manga caused me, with all the cross referencing and whatnot, but fml I was *living* for all the characters from Clamp´s previous work being included everywhere. It was amazing, I adored it so much).
-MAGIC KNIGHT RAYEARTH
I WANTED TO BE UMI SO BADLY. SO BADLY. BLUE HAIRED HEROINE, ELEGANT, CONNECTED TO DRAGONS, WITH ONE HECK OF A RAPIER AS SWORD?? WHY YES. YES. And Emeraude, oh gods, the way I loved Emeraude and Zagart's story. Just let me sob in silenceeeee).
- GODCHILD
What can I say about this, aside from the fact that this was my descent into the Visual Gothic Genre?? It had everything! fucked up story-lines (Victorian Gothic literature was filled up with that), the AMAZING pencil of Kaori Yuki, and Cain. ESPECIALLY CAIN.
-DRAGON BALL
(Z/GT, you name it. Mandatory watch with my lil bro, as soon as I got back home followed, of course, by a fight between me and him because we couldn't agree on who was stronger, Vegeta or Goku - and I still stand by my man Vegeta, idc. Also, Freezer's saga lasted FOREVER. A WHOLE SUMMER OF WATCHING IT, AND IT WAS NEVER ENDING.).
- NARUTO
this is THE MANGA. The one that, alongside The Crow caused me and my husband to meet and fall in love. We were both following Shippuuden as it just came out and was airing in Japan, and my hubby had a Sasuke fpf. Aside from this though, I just love Kishimoto's work so much fml.
- LITTLE POLLON
A whole ass anime about the daughter of Apollo, busy trying to prove herself a Goddess and making SO MUCH CHAOS?? My cup of tea as a child (I was probably 4-5 when I watched it) and my own personal gateway to Greek Mythology lololol
-WOLF'S RAIN
DO NOT SPEAK TO ME ABOUT THIS ANIME, I AM STILL CRYING THINKING ABOUT IT, DEAR GODS. THIS ANIME FUCKED ME UP IN SO MANY WAYS, I CANNOT EVEN START TO COUNT THEM. FML. But dear gods, the way I adored it and tickled all my wolf spot in the brain. BEAUTIFUL.
-GALAXY EXPRESS 999
I have the fondest memories of this anime, because I used to watch it with my grandpa who actually happend to be a train conductor. He always made sure to record it on the VHS when he had shifts where he would not be able to be home and watch it with me, so this has anime has so many memories conneced to it. Also, I loved Maetel, she alway looked so elegant to me (infact, I had half an idea of drawing Dottie as her for halloween, but didn't have the time lolol). Hilariously, this anime would subsequently be the one to open the doors for me to Captain Harlock lol.
-INUYASHA
I CANNOT START BLABBERING ABOUT INUYASHA, BECAUSE OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE A 50K ESSAY LONG TO PRESENT HERE. But I remember approaching it after I read Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2 (Rumiko Takahashi is a fucking genius, I will take no other opinion on her. She carried this side of the manga industry on her shoulders alone fml), and I fell SO IN LOVE with the Sengoku Era and with the whole youkai mithos that I just tuned on MTV whenever I could just to watch it fml. Also, this cemented my love for the "Magnificent Bastards with long hair" that Gundam Wing started (am looking at you, Naraku, Sesshomaru and Inu-no-Taisho fml) (also no, I don't want to hear about Yashahime. I love the characters design they had for the children, but as far as I am concerned in regards to the story, that thing never existed for me and will never exist).
-SAINT SEIYA
I CAVALIERI!! I CAVALIERI!! I CAVALIERI DELLO ZODIACOOOOOOOOOOOO!! *ahem, sorry. I had to. The Italian opening by Giorgio Vanni is so fucking catching, it alwys put me in such good mood. I adored Lady Isabel but also wanted her to end up with Nettuno, I just couldn't find a freaking compromise lol. AND FML, my heart belonged to Ikki. He was such a spunky, arrogant son of a bitch, I loved him so much. But truth is that I also ADORED Seiya's Italian VA (Ivo De Palma, fml, you magnificent man).
-YU YU HAKUSHO
This was the beginning of my love for short kings who are also emotionally constipated TO THE MAX and a bit of a bastard. AND YES, HIEI, I AM TALKING ABOUT YOU. I was never a great appreciator of Yusuke tbh, but I always shipped him with Botan because they were just SO ADORABLE together. But I was just much more interested in Kuwabara being all over the moon for Yukina and Hiei having to deal with it lololol that was so much fun.
-FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST
BEST. MANGA. AND. ANIME. EVER. I have YET to see to this day a story AS GOOD as this one. Like, seriously, the amount of research that Hiromu Arakawa did for this anime is something that needs to be praised. Seriously, if you have never seen this, GO NOW AND DO SO. You are missing out on SO MUCH.This manga shaped me as a writer and artist, tbh: it had such profound impact on me on a creative level (also, Maes Hughes is living a long life with his family after he retired from service, had 3 more children, and they are all living in a cottage by the sea fml).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK I FINISHED PART 1 FOR NOW.
Part 2 will come soon lolol

Just went to the official 'All Stars' website to check up on updates and the I see this:
This is about the 'Uchuu Wa Taihen Da!' (ED 1 of the original anime) All Stars cover which I've talked about like two months back, except, now the singers of the song have finally been revealed!!
The song is to be sung by: Ataru, Lum, Shinobu, Mendo, Cherry and Sakura (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya, Sumire Uesaka, Maaya Uchida, Mamoru Miyano, Wataru Takagi and Miyuki Sawashiro)!!
Honestly, I kind of wished it had the whole remake cast, but at least it's not just one person singing (this is not a song for a solo) and this is technically the next best option! Super hyped for this one!!! I can't wait to hear the gang sing the most UY song ever!!!!

I have two little cute headcanon requests! 😊❤️ Danny Rayburn throwing you a surprise party at his restaurant would include? And any other Mendo of your choice - what would dating them be like? Surprise me 😘😘 Thank you sweetheart! 😊💜🙏
Ooh gurl!! thank you so much for this request!! So I know it just said “surprise party” but I made it a birthday party lol. And I kinda added in the other prompt, so you get an idea of what dating Danny is like hehe. I know this is a SUPER long post but I just can’t not write for Danny. I love him so much.
Surprise Birthday Party (and Dating) with Danny Rayburn HCs
On the morning of your birthday, he has a birthday bouquet delivered to your house, along with pastries or whatever your favorite breakfast food is. He also calls you to wish you a happy birthday while he’s at work. He tells you that he wanted to have dinner with you but your birthday landed on a really busy day and he’ll be at work all day.
Of course you’re disappointed but there’s nothing you can do about it. He asks if you’d be willing to stop by at around 7pm after the dinner rush so you can see him. He loves seeing you during his shift because the days can get long and stressful, and seeing your face helps him deal with difficult customers. Occasionally, he’ll cook for you or let you eat anything off the dead plates in the kitchen. He’s not supposed to have you back there for health reasons but … hey, it’s his restaurant.
So you agree to stop by and see him even though you’re pretty sad about the news. You love seeing him at work (he sometimes rolls up the sleeves on his chef’s coat and hoo boy is it sexy), and spending an hour or two at work is better than not seeing him at all on your birthday. And usually he has a cute surprise for you on your birthday, like a little gift or maybe a balloon or something, that he keeps in the kitchen until you’re there.
Meanwhile, Danny has been planning your birthday party for AGES. He loves treating you to things and he really loves being able to use his cooking skills to spoil you. He has contacted a few of your very close friends or family and asked them to come to the restaurant by 6pm. He secretly closed early and finished the dinner rush by 5pm to get the restaurant cleaned and set up for the party.
All the tables are decorated in nice white tablecloths and little decorations in your favorite colors. There’s a buffet table with large bouquets of flowers, a huge birthday cake (that he ordered from your favorite bakery), and all the gifts/cards are stacked neatly around the bouquets/cake.
Your friends and family help decorate the restaurant with streamers, banners, and signs. Danny and his crew begin cooking a special birthday dinner — whatever is your favorite. Steak and lobster? Fettuccine? Some complicated vegan dish with foreign ingredients? Whatever it is, Danny will make it and it’ll be perfect. He likes cooking for you, half because he genuinely loves the art of cuisine, and half because he loves showing off and impressing people (especially since he had been looked down on most of his life and was made to feel like he had no talents or purpose).
He makes everything absolutely perfect before you arrive. The food is ready, gifts are arranged, floor and windows are clean, and all the guests are there. He’s excited but nervous. He wants this to be a great birthday for you, and he hopes you actually show up at the restaurant instead of calling in to say you’d decided to stay home instead …
So you head to the restaurant that evening. Since it’s your birthday and you aren’t really gonna get to celebrate with Danny (so you think) you decide to treat yourself and him by buying a bottle of your favorite drink (wine, champagne, whiskey, sparkling cider, etc.). You arrive at the restaurant and are surprised to see that it’s almost deserted. There are a few cars, but not nearly the same amount as a typical dinnertime at Danny’s restaurant. It’s actually pretty popular so it’s weird to see it so empty when there are still hours before closing time. But you let yourself in through the front and it’s strangely quiet inside. It’s also pretty dark which is definitely weird.
You start to wonder where everyone is (?? Danny?? The waitresses? The guests??) when out of the semi-darkness you can see Danny standing at the hostess stand. He’s holding a plate with a single cupcake with a lit candle. He’s super adorable because he starts singing happy birthday to you as you walk over to him. You’re like, “?? What are you doing???” but it’s just so sweet so you let him sing (no matter how embarrassing you find it). He tells you to make a wish, so you do and blow out the candle.
Then he says, “Allow me to show you to your seat.” And you’re like “Okay…” Then the lights flip on and ?? The entire restaurant is decorated and all your loved ones are there! You’re completely floored and Danny laughs at your expression. You tell him you thought you were gonna have to sneak dinner with him between cooking dishes, and he laughs and quietly whispers to you, “You know you’re worth more than sneaking around in the back, even if it is fun.” When he realizes that you brought a bottle of whatever your favorite drink is, he clicks his tongue at you before taking the bottle and jokingly says he’ll save it for later.
He shows you to your seat and soon everyone is seated, and Danny and a few helpers start bringing out the food. Once everyone is served, Danny sits with you. You are totally surprised and you can tell how much work went into this party. Danny had to shut down his restaurant — his pride and joy — early just so that he could get this ready for you. He went out of his way to contact the people who meant the most to you, he went out and bought decorations, and he ordered a cake. If you were ever unsure about how he felt about you, now you knew for certain. Danny loved you with all of his heart and he was willing to do anything for you.
After dinner, he makes a big deal about the cake and presents. He makes sure you get the traditional first bite of cake (and he may or may not kiss you to get the extra frosting off your lips hehe) and then he wants to watch you open all your gifts. Really he just wants you to open his but he knows you need to open all of them. You hate opening gifts in front of people but you also know it’s rude to not so you give in and agree to start opening gifts. Danny sits you down at your table and begins bringing over gifts. All of the gifts are really nice and you thank everyone. Then you get to the last gift, Danny’s gift. You’re kind of nervous because Danny can be kind of a trickster and he likes to embarrass you a bit and he really can be quite shameless, so do you really want to open this gift when friends and family are all watching you?
But Danny is eagerly waiting so you hesitantly open the gift and it’s actually ??? A really cute gift? It’s probably something like a little locket with a photo of both of you, or something sentimental. Whatever it is, it’s really cute and personal and you’re kind of surprised at how sweet it is. Danny is a really sweet partner and he is really good at getting gifts for you, but he still keeps his heart pretty guarded so knowing that he got you this gift and wanted you to open it in front of everyone? You’re blushing pretty hard but you make sure to tell him thank you, and when you give him a hug you also manage to kiss him and lean in to whisper that you love him.
After the party (which probably goes too late), everyone leaves except for you and Danny, and the few helpers who stayed to clean up. Danny takes you into the kitchen and pulls out two glasses and pours your favorite drink for both of you. He probably sits you on the counter because he thinks it’s so cute and he likes watching you dangle your legs back and forth because your feet can’t reach the ground. Then he tells you that he’s going to give you your “real gift” now and you’re like … yeah, alright, shameless pervy Danny was here all along, he just needed some alcohol to steel his nerves. But you’re surprised when he pulls out another gift box and gives it to you and watches you open it.
It ends up being a little photo album full of photographs of both of you together through your relationship. Little candid pictures of you that he took, selfies together, group photos, etc. It’s so cute, you could die. You end up crying a little bit because of how sentimental and sweet the gift is, and that’s in addition to the sweet locket he gave you!!
You end the night with drinking and him walking you home after he locks up the restaurant. To your surprise, he’s pretty gentlemanly but you assume it’s because he has to work early tomorrow morning and he can’t afford to jeopardize his livelihood. So he kisses you goodnight (it probably actually didn’t start off that innocent because, well, it’s Danny, but he certainly tries to make it teasing and he is an expert at teasing, so just when you’re just about to ask him to stay the night he breaks the kiss and says he has to leave lol). Then he waits to make sure you get inside okay, then he heads back to his apartment. During the night, he’ll text you periodically to remind you that he loves you and to wish you a happy birthday.
“Your birthday doesn’t end until midnight, so I can wish you a happy birthday all I want until then,” he says. He’s such a dork. But sweet. And the last thing he texts you before he goes to bed is, “I love you.” It may seem pretty plain to some (no nickname or anything), but you know how much he means it, and how hard it is for him to be open with his feelings. So, really, that little text means just as much as the gifts he got for you. You make sure to text him back, “I love you too” because, honestly, he needs it and deserves it.

Yonverinos Appreciation Week
March 3rd
Today are celebrating: @vociferrari
Who is Vociferrari?
According to the astronomy app Co-Star Voci is my one true love, my soulmate, the one I should be dating instead of my dusty old husband. And I agree!
She is hilarious. For starters; she is the funniest pervert who ever graced my DMs. When I see something slightly horny I think "got to send this to Voci" except usually I am seeing it because it is already on her blog.
I can rant about the most boring things in our chat and she is just like "one minute I have a meme for this"
We would be terrible at dinner parties because we are just 17 inside jokes in a trench coat.
Clams
Cabbages
Frogs are gossips
Pisse Prophecies
Mendo Magic
Can turtles be subs?
Being a slut for gothic stuff
Don't think about Penis hats
The omen bleeds

I do remember thinking it was odd in one of the anime movies that Ataru was stated to be the most lecherous man in the galaxy, I mean it is stated several times that Mendo is just as perverted, but better at hiding it.
Oh? is it the last movie where the style looks so good but the story and characterization if Ataru is 100 more overreacted like the anime?
Because I do not like that one, they like to make Ataru look like a super pervert when he just likes women a lot and loves to flirt, he matured so much in the manga and the anime liked to forget about that.
Except for the ova’s, I stan the ovas.
And yeah Mendou is the same and I love him but they like to give that title to Ataru because again, they loved to ignore his maturity in the manga.

Sunday, April 24 - Almeida to Castelo Rodrigo
Since we were only moving around 18 km up the road, we took the day to explore some of the "castle towns" in the area. Castle is a bit of a misnomer, since most of the castles are gone, but they were the reason for the towns, and foundations and defensive structures still remain.
We headed first to Castelo Bom, which was on a hill overlooking the Rio Coa, the main river in Eastern Portugal that runs north about 1175 km before joining the Douro. It was small and sleepy, with a town gate that was Roman on one side and Gothic on the other. We could see Almeida on its own hill to the north.
We then proceeded to Castelo Mendo, one of the towns in the historic alliance. Here we found a well-marked loop trail that took us 700 feet down to the river, followed it a bit, and then headed back up the hill. It was an easy 6km walk, mostly on old dirt roads, except for one portion. The Coa has numerous little low dams that create impoundments and there was one at a little tributary. Our path was completely underwater, and to bypass it we had to go up the tributary, try to find a place to cross, and go further away from the river to avoid more flooded area. The other option would have been to just wade across, but we opted to bushwhack through fields of stinging nettles. After we got back to the main trail we met a group of mountain bikers who had decided to do the barefoot crossing. They would have not liked the nettles with just shorts.
From the river we could see upstream to a high viaduct and some rapids. This viewpoint was actually an old Roman Port on the river - before the little dam, it was one of the best places to cross the river
We had stopped for a little lunch earlier in a park just outside of Castelo Mendo, and were impressed by how it had been mowed. We later met the mowers - a herd of goats and sheep. The goats in the picture seemed interested in our hike - they must not see much traffic lately.
Our hike up from the river wound up on a steep slope coming through a gate into the castle. As is usually the case, there is not much left but a couple of gates, some wall, and a roofless church. But the main attraction is the views, which usually extend in all directions. As we were leaving, people were pouring into this little town, which didn't seem to have more than 20-30 occupied houses. It looked like a big dinner at one of the still-roofed churches in town. One man was toting several 5-liter plastic bottles of what could only be red wine while another was bringing up a couple of grills, and another had lots of dishes. Since we weren't invited, we headed back to our car and drove to our lodging, this time a room in a little casa in Castelo Rodrigo, still another hill town.
Here the castle is also gone, replaced by the remains of a palace built upon the ruins of the castle foundation. It is quite picturesque with the late evening light. We did wander around our little town, which took less than an hour, and ate outside in our little garden area. After a while, these little towns start to blend together in my mind, but each one has something unique. Some are ancient originally Roman, like Idanha-a-Velha, some are medieval, like Castelo Mendo, and some are between those times, such as Monsanto. The town layout, the width of the streets, and of course the architecture reflects those differences. All do seem to have a pillory, though. And several churches. Most have tourist offices, although many do not seem to have many businesses dependent on tourism, as one might think. Here in Castelo Rodrigo there are a couple of daytime cafes, and a couple of souvenir shops.
We seem to see at least one new bird a day, although we haven't spent much time seeking them out. We've been enjoying the freedom having a car gives us to really explore all these little places - we haven't really had a car before in Europe or Great Britain, as we depended previously mostly on trains. There is always the problem of parking, but in our last two places that has been easier, too. Here and in Almeida we were able to park next to our lodging, unlike in Monsanto where we were up and down several step hills covered with cobblestones.
Tomorrow we will explore a bit more in the area before heading up to the northern border area on Tuesday. We hope to do some hiking up there if the weather cooperates. Today it was perfect.
