i am going to try to actually articulate one thing i didn't like about arcane s2, but i don't think is bad

please bear with my poor wording

the plot with Viktor and the hexcore didn't go the way i thought it would

i thought in season one, that we were starting to see that the hexcore (or the arcane itself thru the hexcore) had its own will and that would presumably be why Viktor knew he needed to destroy it and asks Jayce to destroy it (iirc)

so in season two, Jayce uses the hexcore to keep Viktor alive, Viktor wakes up, says "i told you to destroy it", bounces immediately to his future commune, and uses this new power

i thought we were going to eventually see that the hexcore was mind controlling/brain washing him like a parasite of sorts. and using the image of Sky to do it

so like, i thought the plot would be Viktor being more or less controlled to do some crazy shit and breaking free of it

could have also had potential to mirror (? parallel?) Mel and the black rose using the image of her brother to manipulate her

but alas...Viktor just, decided he's chill with the hexcore now... and everything that came after that

i never thought too deeply about this, it's just the feeling i got from act one

idk if this makes sense. it's so late and i need to sleep

not to be a hater but i hope Maddie gets to fully deck Cait for cheating on her

when Maddie Nolan first showed up i was instantly like, she's suspiciously bright and chipper, i don't like that... but then i processed her Scottish accent and my attitude changed so fast like, okay i guess i like her anyway

on a less hater note. the suicide time loop was giving me flashbacks to life is strange. my game had bugs in several places where it didn't allow me to make a game-ending choice unless i moved at the speed of light, so i had to rewind a million times. one of them was in the junkyard when Chloe is shooting a car or some shit and if you don't tell her to shoot the right thing, the bullet ricochets and fucking kills her. and i was just stuck there. rewinding and rewinding. watching Chloe accidentally fucking kill herself over and over

one thing i am so glad for is that the music this season is still amazing. the music in s1 is so good i was afraid s2 wouldn't stand up to it. but it's been great so far

the first time i watched part one, i burst into tears when i saw Heimerdinger with the kids at the firelight base w the bubble machine lol

i hope we get more insight for why Vi changed her mind to join the enforcers

i'm glad Ambessa's right hand man (idk his name) got a couple lines. i hope he gets more, i've always been curious about him

still haven't watched any of act two :(
