Eluveitie kündigen neue Single an

Knapp zwei Monate ist es schon wieder her, dass die Schweizer Folk Metal-Superstars ELUVEITIE ihr neues Meisterwerk »Evocation II – Pantheon« via Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht haben. Das Akustikalbum, welches an seinen Vorgänger »Evocation I« (2009) anknüpfte, schaffte rund um den Globus den Sprung in die Albumcharts und katapultierte ELUVEITIE sofort auf Platz #2 in den Schweizer Charts!

Heute verkünden Mastermind Chrigel und Co. nun stolz, dass am 27. Oktober 2017 bereits eine neue Single erscheinen wird! Der Song mit dem Titel ‚Rebirth‘ soll schon jetzt erste Eindrücke für das kommende nächste Album liefern.

Chrigel kommentiert:

„Nach einer langen Zeit, in der wir aufgrund unseres mit Spannung erwartetem zweiten Akustikalbum »Evocation II – Pantheon« viele Akustik-Sessions gespielt haben, freuen wir uns nun umso mehr darauf, endlich unser nächstes Kapitel unserer Metalkarriere einzuschlagen! Schon seit einiger Zeit sammeln wir unsere Ideen und ja, wir haben angefangen, an unserem nächsten Album zu arbeiten!

Es wird noch eine Weile dauern, bis wir die Studios wieder betreten werden, da wir zuerst unseren fantastischen Tourzyklus der ‚EVOCATION II‘-Tour beenden wollen und werden.

Aber um Euch [und uns ;-)] die Wartezeit bis dahin zu versüßen, haben wir uns kürzlich wieder in den legendären Newsound-Studios versammelt, um bereits eine erste Single unseres kommenden Metal-Albums zu produzieren – begrüßt unser jüngstes Baby: ‚Rebirth‘!

Wir glauben, dass ‚Rebirth‘ ein echtes Folk Metal-Monster geworden ist und sind sehr stolz darauf. Und wir hoffen, dass ihr unsere Meinung teilen werdet! Wie immer ist der Song voll von reiner keltischer Volksmusik und enthält einige Schätze, so wie das alte irische traditionelle ‚Lads of Laois‘. Gleichzeitig liefert ‚Rebirth‘ natürlich auch die volle Ladung puren Metals!!

Konzeptionell gesehen präsentiert der Song eine eher philosophische Herangehensweise an die antike keltische Spiritualität und Mythologie (und so wird auch unser nächstes Album)! Wir benutzen antike mythologische Bilder, um sie aus der Sicht unseres täglichen Lebens zu betrachten (und dabei spielt es keine Rolle, ob wir vor 2000 Jahren oder heute gelebt haben, weil wir glauben, dass sich die tiefe Bedeutung dieser Bilder seitdem nicht geändert hat)! ‚Rebirth‘ beschäftigt sich mit dem alten keltischen Bild des „Kessels der Wiedergeburt“, mit seiner Bedeutung und den dunkelsten Passagen unseres Lebens, durch die wir alle gehen müssen, um wiedergeboren zu werden.“

19174 I hope that the new Eluveitie album follows the sound of the singles; Epona and Lvgvs, by having fewer harsh vocals and more of a focus on clean vocals. I like the harsh vocals but I feel like they drown out some of the folk sounds.
