So I wrote these villain song cover lyrics and animatic scripts for Disney Junior princesses Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor in AUs where they turned evil, inspired by Lydia the Bard’s series of Disney Princess villain songs. And I’ve been getting back into The Lion Guard lately. And since a main theme of that show is about Kion not wanting to turn out like Scar despite their parallels… I couldn’t resist writing this. Half the plot of Season Three is him trying not to have a corruption arc! It was right there!
All this to say, I hope any Lion Guard fans on here enjoy this. I haven’t had Kion follow too closely in Scar’s footsteps; his villainous goal is arguably the exact opposite. It’s his methods that are problem. Canon is pretty fine by me, minor quibbles aside (Kion deserved to grow a mane, for one), but it’s fun to explore how much worse things could have gone. Comments are appreciated!

Makuu, Kiburi, and Ucheshi: *shamelessly challenge Pua to a mashindano bc they firmly believe they can be a good leader and win*
Nduli: *makes one (half) joke that he would be a good leader and Pua says “bet”*

If Kion had a villain arc, his theme song would definitely be "World Burn" from Mean Girls: The Musical.
i hadn't heard this song before now, but damn it goes hard! i'm definitely imagining this for an evil kion au based on the canon plot OR jealous kion in the three queens au! though i think a canon plot based kion villain arc would work better for this song because he'd probably join scar's army. and yaknow, the song talks about burning so :]

I really feel for Kion, y'know? I bet he felt rather left out of things before he got into the guard. Then, when he DID get in, he was left with situations a child should NEVER be in. Pretty much forced to grow up so fast, having his childhood kind of yoinked off of him. No child should have to witness a supernatural return of his evil grand-uncle who killed his grandfather. A few seasons later he's literally going to WAR with a GHOST, gets bitten by a snake and then gets mocked by the fading ghost before being left with so many questions. THEN he has to leave his home, missing out on pretty much an entire direct to DVD film of info. Constant emotional turmoil and angst on the WAY to the tree of life and when he gets there he thinks he's never welcome and almost gives up. The former queen of the tree of life probably isn't the first animal he's seen die on the job. He has never had kingly training but ends up taking up Ranis offer as soon as he can. He never had a chance to grow, mf. He was always talked to like a business partner not a son. While all this might not be in canon, I'm for sure putting this in my hc/au. This might have also been a lowkey vent piece which has made me feel better while doing it. This was sort of a  redraw/trace of a beta Kion sketch i saw posted in a server I'm in. |Links| Twitter Instagram DeviantArt Art (c) me + Disney Character designs (c) Me + Disney | NOTE | No my art is NOT free to repost on any site for any reason. Hey Kash! Its Shadowdoggy (Da). I have a question, I finished The Lion Guard and stuff but i was thinking off adding kion to my lion king AU evil. I thought maybe what if he didnt make it to the tree of life and he turned evil? I wanted to envolve him in my story with my ocs.
I still don’t like that “Snake venom turns you EVIL” thing. It’s not exactly how venom works, but it varies from snake to snake. As for the Egyptian Cobra, its venom contains neurotoxins and cytotoxins. A single bite can kill an elephant in three hours. Its venom destroys nerves and tissue and can cause paralysis and will result in death due to respiratory failure. That doesn’t sound like a mind-altering drug venom to me.
If you want to run with it for your AU, don’t let my opinions stop you.
(I just find the whole plot they used dumb, I mean, they could have easily gotten away with a different reason but they had to go down the Scar apologist road)

rohan’s backstory part 3: the eternal guardian
Tumblr media
Over the next week following the skrull assault, zootopia was torn in two: the politicians wanted to declare superheroes and superpowered mammals illegal, while the public fought in rallies, protests and riots standing by their thought that zootopia didn’t need control, nor order, but just to be safe and free, no matter who protected them, also chastising the governement, calling it corrupt, unfair and old. While there were tensions inside the wilde family and their friends, everybody did their best to comfort each other, especially Robyn and Hannah, who received the most hate. Nick was not willing to give up on her daughter despite all the accuses against him, but every attempt to calm down the city was vain. But suddenly, a chance of redemption popped up: unbeknownst to everyone, the skrull that wasn’t defeated by Rohan by the power of the infinity fragments, silently escaped on the ship (which was invisible the whole time) and this time he brought back up: another alien race, called the kree. The two armies broke in the middle of a protest, capturing everybody: men, women, politicians, normal people, kids; then, they called in a massive ship/orbital cannon, capable of destroying an entire planet. The skrull threatened Rohan to come out and surrender, otherwise he would have erased the city from the planet. Rohan was trapped: either she went there and die for the whole city or she would have fought at the risk of losing many innocent lives. Believing she runied the city and everyone’s life, in the end she did come out and was ready to die for who she loved and seeking for redemption. She waved goodbye to her family and friends and she faced a public execution, where there kree leader, Ronan, blasted her to smithereens with his hammer.
The skrull then went to pick up the fragments, gloating over his revenge and claiming to be the only true keeper of the universe; but the infinity spirits had decided: Robyn and Hannah were the only worthy to keep all that power. They immediately rejected their impostor and reformed Rohan form the ashes; this time though Rohan was determined to end to skrull threat once and for all. she called in her allies: the famous team ceartais: andraste, spitfire, roar, the mage and yurei (respectively Luna, Olivia, Kion, Kodi and Alice), the ZPD, the MCB and the task force Camelot; no matter who the enemies were or what others thought about her, she was going to end everything.
After a long 10 hours battle, Rohan, ceartais and their allies finally defeated the skrull/kree army, not without casualties: almost 50 percent of the city was dead. Ronan, the kree leader, though was not willing to lose against a bunch of animals and in an act of rage, he activated the cannon at full power: he wanted to wipe out the whole planet if he couldn’t conquer it. When the cannon fired, every hope seemed lost, but rohan, uncapable of giving up and now unwilling to let everyone die, concentrated and unlocked the full power of the infinity fragments enetring the infinity state: she had all the powers in the universe and could have been able to alter the whole structure of the universe itself; after nullifying the cannon’s beam, she completly erased the cannon itself out of existence; then, after facing ronan one last time and killing him when he cheated and attempted for his loved ones lives, she brought back from the dead everyone who died in the recent skirmish and recreated back the entire city: every building that was knocked out or demolished during the wave or the skrull/kree invasion was fully rebuilt. Then Rohan passed out again, falling unconcious and incorporeal, this time only for two hours.
When she woke up, there was her family celebrating her victory, alongside almost the rest of Zootopia; only a few mammals still distrusted her. But soon a problem came out: the energy emitted by Rohan in the infinity state started to give superpowers to random citizens, no matter if they were rich or poor. To solve this problem, Rohan asked for a super’s therapy centre to be created, so that powered mammals could be able to control their powers to fit better into society, without class or power differences and for who wnated to become a superhero. She also asked for every super that would come to be registered as an ally of the zpd, but able to fight free, without law many restrictions. At last, she said that every super was free to mantain it’s secret identity if he or she wanted. Every request was taken with joy from everyone, aside the opposers; that same day team ceartais followed Rohan’s example and revealed their secret identities to zootopia, without fear. Wether this situation was good or bad it’s still discussed today, but two things were for sure: Robyn and Hannah did indeed change everything and even if the alien threat was defeated, many other villains would come out to take the fragments for themselves or for other villanous purposes and those bad guys weren’t just some vigilante level threat: they were superpowered and even came from other universes. Things had to changes so Rohan’s and ceartais’ arsenal grew up, combining the latest tech with the infinity powers, while staying true to their vigilante nature.
In the end, since the “revival” (how the skrull/kree invasion, their subsequent defeat and the revitalization of Zootopia was dubbed) Rohan, despite being a fusion has gained full full rights and it’s considered a civilian just like everyone, Robyn and Hannah are recognized as superstars, just like their teammates, but even with all the fame, the two hybrids live a fairly humble life with their eight children, while also protecting zootopia and other dimensions from evil forces.
and there we go! i finally posted all the parts of rohan’s backstory, but it’s not over: there is much more content of rohan i have to rerelease and after that, i can post 100% original stuff on my blog. so, to tease you, the next posts will be: rohan’s family, her superhero sheet, her powerset and her arsenal and believe, that is a LOT more than you think.
i thank @crewefox who allowed me to create this au and to whom i owe a lot
then i thank @jafethortiz who drew rohan for me
and last but not least, i thank my subscribers who liked rohan and shared her; i won’t stop thanking you.
reblog, like and share with everyone.
here’s the link to the other two parts:
1) alone on an island
2) hunt for power
see you soon zootopians
P.S. some passages are written for eventual newcomers who don’t know anything about the main TAS au

pawpatrolair replied to your post: talk to me about crossovers and AUs idk why just ...
oh! for the crossover/au im working on for saiyuki/lion king Sanzo is one of Kovu and Kiara’s kids, is often targeted because of getting a power that Scar and his Uncle Kion before him had that turned them both evil (animals think sanzo will turn evil because of getting the roar of the elders like they did,) Having a lot of fun with this fanfic! it’s also ton of fun figuring out which characters should be what animal and so forth.
That sounds wonderful!
Evil Kion though oh no!! D:

The Lion Guard Bomb
This commentary is semi-satire. Don’t take some of them too seriously. I say both the parts I like and the parts that I think could have been better. But that’s just me. I enjoy Lion Guard as a canon AU just like DC’s million reboots. It makes things easier to enjoy the inconsistency with the rest of the Lion King title.
Scorpion’s sting.
GREAT background music!
It has set the tone to make the story a little more serious than before
I can’t believe Simba made the entire land celebrate his crowning day anniversary party.
Well yeah celebrating that he defeated Scar, but that’s about the only significant thing he did, Good King Simba, who has his son do all the hard work for him.
I can’t believe Simba didn’t feel that scorpion crawling onto his tail.
I can’t believe he just fainted.
I can’t believe Nala stayed put.
I can’t believe Timon didn’t try to go out to hunt that Scorpion. Fun fact : did you know? Meerkats EAT scorpions? did you know? creators?
I can’t believe Scar’s entire army lost to a cub......okay, a cub with magic super power.
DANG IT KION! You do the same to them when they invade your place! Now you’re invading THEIR place and you act as if they’re in the wrong. “so many bad guys in the Outlands” my butt. (Note, at this point, they shouldn’t have known that the outlanders are working for Scar, one would  assume they were protecting their territory)
Scar you stupid, you could have sprung your plan without revealing yourself to your enemy. You being a secret is a GREAT advantage! ...but then again, he was assuming he was winning. Oh! Same mistake as when he told Simba he killed Mufasa. Oh you never learn, Scar.
For a kid’s show, I think this episode has good action scene. I especially love the scene with the lava eating up the mandrill girl’s staff. Of course, the good guys won a little too easily, but that’s a given considering Kion has magic super power.
I love the scene that Bunga volunteered to hold the gourd while riding on Fuli. That’s a great scene to contrast his clumsiness at the beginning of the episode. GOOD WRITING THERE!
2. The Wisdom of Kongwe
Stupid Simba.....you could just walk to Kongwe......instead you made her walk all the way to you...........SHE’S A TORTOISE!
Is Rafiki not the wise one anymore? Is Mufasa the ONLY dead king they can contact? .....OF COURSE MUFASA HAS NO EXPERIENCE OF THIS. HE DIED YOUNG!
Why do we need the mandrill girl again? You could just send Fuli....alone....to get her.
MAKUCHA! I love Makacha. He’s awesome
but why is he giving up so easily? He’d been not much of a threat lately.
Yes, you are reminded that you are in his territory. Know your place a little, you invaders. Hypocrites invading everywhere mumble mumble.
Yes yes you won against him in a race. So he gave up? Why?
You? Fuli? a taste for leopard? Fuli I think Makucha wasn’t even trying to fight you. Fun fact : In nature, Leopard can easily kill cheetah., Also in Lion Guard at Makucha’s first appearance, he could hold his own against 5 members of lion guard at once. Only losing because Kion has super power. I don’t think he should fear Fuli, at all.
and then the tortoise finally reach the Pride Rock. Only to say “Don’t worry , good will win against evil. Seriously? We’re asking for directions, not goal.
Over all, good message for kids. Relax and slow down to observe your environment is a great lesson in life. Hurrying can make you reach your goal more slowly than you going at the normal pace. Because you miss things and make mistakes.
3. The Kilio Valley Fire
Ohh, fire! So intense.
Oooohhhh! outlander army! so intense!
I like the elephant circles. They do that in the wild! Adults are practially invincible. but their calves, can still be hunted and eaten.
Why did Ono not see the vultures throwing fire sticks?
Back to seriousness. This is Kion’s first experience of defeat. He lost the land to the outlanders. A good character development for him. I don’t think this is a matter for a cub anymore. inform your dad maybe? Oh! ..right.....Simba is useless in this series.
wait, why did he not magic roar the fire and the army all out?
GOOD SONG! This.....song.....has no business being this catchy. I like it.
Good...scene....the elephants leaving the Pridelands.....good scene. good background music too. (PS, you can just stay right there...between other areas. Nobody has claimed it?)
WHOA MUFASA SAID JUST WHAT I SAID. Kion suffered defeat. This is his first. He just doesn’t know how to deal with it.
MORE FIRE. MORE INTENSITY
Prideland is not the place but the peopl- I mean, the Pridelanders.
Good episode.
4. Undercover Kinyonga
All I can say is, her ability is just a little too exaggerated.
but the most favorite part is when Kion showed himself under his log custume and scared Janja away. XD
Overall : a fun episode bomb!

What are your thoughts on Ushari and his arc? Would you have changed it?
OH I WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY CHANGED IT!
I don’t have too much of a problem with him turning to the dark side. It was understandable cuz he was treated like shit (sometimes an object) for laughs. It makes sense that he would have enough and want both respect AND revenge. It seems that the skinks are the only ones who respected him from what we’ve seen. I assume Kenge too, even though we’ve never seen it. I’d say Scar as well, but we ALL know he was just using poor Ushari for his evil scheme. Even though Ushari was loyal, I don’t believe it was mutual.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I would have made Kion question why Ushari was on Scar’s army. All we got was Bunga saying “So it’s a snake and a few lizards! We can take ‘em!” in The Scorpion’s Sting. If I were writing for the show, I would have made Kion ask why Ushari turned to the dark side in Battle for the Pridelands after he git his new scar. Everyone knew he was a Pridelander so what made him change? Ushari would have went off on them and you know what I would have made Kion’s response to be?
He apologizes.
He and the guard would think about it for a minute and actually apologize to Ushari (yes, even Bunga) about everything. They would tell him how he was essentially right, but went about it the wrong way. Kion would say how it doesn’t have to be this way and promise to respect Ushari from now on. Maybe then he wouldn’t have died 😭
If the other Outlanders got to redeem, why shouldn’t Ushari?
On a separate note, imagine an AU where the pack leaders learn that Scar was only using them and would betray them the MINUTE they defeat the guard. Imagine they find out through the skinks and they all had their moments where they were questioning if they were on the right side. Imagine all the Outlanders join the Pridelanders to defeat Scar. THAT is something I’d like to see

The Lion Guard AU
Concept:  Kion and the Lion Guard left the Pridelands shortly before Kiara's first hunt, maybe a season or so, when they received a rumor about a lion that might be the long-lost Prince Kopa deep in the Outlands.  That's why they aren't present in Simba's Pride.
Now, in The Lion Guard, Kion has the ability to talk to the Great Lions of the Past.  And in "The Rise of Scar", Janja, the new hyena leader, and Ushari, a cobra, figure out how to use his roar to bring back the *evil* lions of the past - AKA Scar.  Of course, he only manifests as a fiery ghost head, but he's still there.
Soooo, combine these things with my love for the Villain-Turned-Weird-Uncle trope, and my similar love for Scar as a villain and love of his backstory . . .And imagine this.
Kion and the Lion Guard return home with Kopa.  The Royal Family has a touching, joyous reunion.  There's tension between Kion and Kovu at first - he wants to know what this Outlander is doing in the Pridelands.  But Kiara prevents it from getting out of hand, jumping between them (Kovu is cowering because he doesn't want to start a fight with her brother) and explaining.  Kion easily accepts them back into the Pridelands and is happy to accept Kovu as a brother.  Kopa feels totally out of his depth, and he's nervous because of something else, but he's of course happy to be home, and his parents excited to see him.  Maybe Scar's Lion Guard is even found - say Scar's Roar threw them far, far away so they got lost, rather than dying.  Bring Nala's father back.  Then this happens:
"But there's someone else we found in the Outlands too, Dad." Kion said, brows furrowing. "Someone I think you'll need to meet.  But I want to explain exactly who he is first."    "Alright.  Who is it, Kion?" Simba asked, sitting down and listening willingly.    Kion sighed and sat down too. "Okay.  Every lion has a good side, and an evil side, right?  And it all depends on which side gets fed - whether it's by that lion, or by their surroundings."    "This is true." Rafiki approved.    Kion nodded. "Okay." He sighed. "Well, Scar was a lion, just like us.  He had a good and evil side too.  When he was young, an encounter with a hyena named Shenzi -"    "I remember Shenzi." Simba said grimly.    "Oye.  Me too." Timon groaned.    "I thought you liked her?" Pumbaa said blankly. "You proposed to her."    "I was talkin' crazy talk to distract her!" Timon waved his hands frantically.    "Oh."    Simba blinked at them. "Okay.  Continue, Kion."    Kion blinked too but then shook his head and continued. "An encounter with Shenzi poisoned his mind.  He was already an angry young lion, since Great Grandfather Ahadi named him Taka - garbage - and treated him like it, and his brother Mufasa was busy a lot preparing to be king.  So it wasn't that hard for Shenzi to turn him against them.  Great Grandmother Uru tried to raise him better, but he was young and pliable to Shenzi's tricks.  He eventually got more assertive and took over her pack, but by then, his evil side had taken over.  You all know what happened from there."     "What does this have to do with who you found in the Outlands, Kion?" Nala asked, frowning.     "I'm getting to that." Kion said, exchanging glances with the Lion Guard and Kopa. "So it turns out that my roar can be used to summon evil lions too - when combined with the power of a ??? staff." [OOC: Sorry, I have no idea how to spell the kind of staff that Rafiki and Makini use] "But when it's done improperly - like by a hyena and a cobra in a volcano - the lion can be split."     "Split?" Kiara echoed. "Split how?"     "I wondered too." Kion admitted. "But Ushari and Janja only summoned Scar's evil half to the volcano.  His good half was brought back too, in a physical form, and he got lost in the Outlands.  But without his evil half to balance him, he couldn't bring himself to hunt or make reasonable decisions.  And that's how Kopa found him." He nodded to his brother.    Kopa nodded nervously. "I didn't know who he was because he only called himself Taka.  I guess his good half isn't Scar.  But I knew he was starving and alone, so I helped him.  He was always really nice - too nice.  He couldn't hunt because he didn't want to hurt anyone.  He was always so sad when I asked about his past, so I quit asking before I realized."     Kion nodded, agreeing. "While we were in the Outlands, we were able to fix him, sorta.  His evil side tried to possess him again.  We were able to banish most of it, but enough of it got back into him to make him a more balanced lion.  He still has trouble hunting and he's still weak and pretty submissive, but he's better . . . and we brought him back."
Basically, TLK/TLG/Novel series Scar returning to the Pridelands.  Alive.  And becoming the weird uncle that Simba always thought he was when he was a cub.  Mufasa clearly trusted him in TLK1 - he thought he was insolent and annoying, but he didn't doubt Scar's word or his worry when he reported that Simba was in the gorge.  So I submit that while Scar was definitely a villain, he played the doting uncle really well - and would love to see an AU where he returns to get to be that weird, doting uncle for real.

List of AU’S I came up with
Crack Hodari x Njano (They need a ship name: Hodano? Njari? Lizards in Love? idk)
Makuu-Kiburi role swap
Hyenas-Crocodile role swap
Pirate AU
High School AU
Actor AU
Piga is alive
Danganya is alive (nothing would really change much but I like to think he, Shupavu, and Njano are a trio)
Didn’t create this one per se, but Zootopia-esque AU (specifically Kenge in that universe)
These could technically count as au’s:
A world without Jasiri
A world without Kiburi
Ushari’s still alive
Ucheshi is the leader of the crocs instead of Makuu
Okay so I was listening to “Give a Little Guy a Chance” again (as you do) and I kept thinking about Ucheshi’s reaction and then I said “If Ucheshi were the leader, she’d immediately say yes”…which led to this au
Soooooo I have thoughts….
-She’d definitely be a little more cocky in this au. Not as cocky as Makuu or Kiburi, but she wouldn’t be above rubbing stuff in animals’ faces
-Her challenging Pua to a mashindano would be so funny tho. It starts off so civilized and then it’s Ucheshi pulling a Looney Tunes and tricking Pua into agreeing to fight her
-Ucheshi would have waaaay too much fun battling Pua. She treats it as if it were a game
-Like my in-universe hc for her, she’s not a villain by any means. I like to imagine her as a neutral character if anything; an unbiased participant if you will. She respects the circle of life most of the time but she’ll let her crocs take over all the watering holes
-Like in the Savannah Summit, a lot of the animals would assume she’s here to cause trouble when in actuality, she’s pretty chill
-No but her in that episode would be so funny cuz Kion and Simba are talking about her and she just casually butts in like
Kion: I think Ucheshi has more enemies than friends
Ucheshi: *pops her head in* In my defense, so does Bunga
Kion: What the-?!
-not her breaking the fourth wall at one point or another/j
“By Pua! Have a nice life! Hope you get more screentime!”
-Don’t be fooled, Makuu still has a role in the au. He’s mostly the one by her side supporting her
-I think Kiburi would be a little more respectful than he is with Makuu. Though their disagreements are still amusing to watch, especially with her using her title as an advantage
“Sorry, who’s the leader here?”
“Ucheshi-“
“Answer the question: who’s the leader?”
“You…”
“What was that?”
“You.”
“Oh really? Didn’t realize! 😁”
-That being said, he still challenges her to a mashindano and loses, which is admittedly still very hard on her
-Instead of Kiburi trying to hurt her like he does with Makuu, he repeatedly tries to get her to become evil
-Hodari would immediately become a part of the float after singing his song. If he goes to Kiburi’s float, it’s probably to try and get the siblings to reunite and make her proud of him
“Hey guys, this little gecko is now a crocodile. You can fight me on that! No, seriously, I dare you to challenge me to a mashindano!”
-Her and Kiburi’s dynamic would definitely stay the same lmao. Imagine her reaction when Kiburi finally challenges her
Kiburi: Or…I could call for a mashindano
Crocodiles: *gasp*
Ucheshi: :0
Ucheshi: Nuh uh
Kiburi: ….Tf you mean “nuh uh”?!
Yeah my…my brain is weird djdbbdgrgrv

Some more stuff about the Croc leader!Nduli AU
adding onto this post
Unlike Canon Makuu and AU!Kiburi (and like Ucheshi in her au), Nduli was never necessarily “evil” when he first became the leader. He doesn’t do anything out of malice, he’s just really oblivious. Everything with the crocs that happened in Season 1 was Nduli misjudging the situation. The crocs taking over all the watering holes on the first day? Nduli was willing to share Big Springs, he just didn’t tell the others lmao. What happened in “Never Roar Again”? He was just trying to chill in the Flood Plains without Kion roaring at his friends. The incident at the flood plains? Uhh…I guess they’re just trying to eat but he didn’t wanna take Basi out! Honest! You get it. He thinks everything is fine but it…really isn’t, at least not at first
Have mentioned this before but I’ll say it again: The guard would TRY to reason with Nduli but it doesn’t work cuz his float are defending him for their lives. Kion tries to tell him off only to be met with the other crocs giving him and his friends death glares. Meanwhile Nduli’s just happily vibing like everything is fine lmao
Like in canon and all the other AU’s, the guard asks Pua if he could challenge Nduli to a mashindano, to which Pua is like “Yeah, I’m not doing that”. This is for two reasons
Pua knows he’s not as strong as he used to be due to his old age, so he points out the possibility that Nduli might beat him in a mashindano
He doesn’t have the heart to fight Nduli
Kiburi, Tamka, Neema, and Makuu are almost always with him. The only time they aren’t is during most of the “The Savannah Summit” episode. Even then, they would still make an appearance (i.e the “this is exactly why you’re in charge” quote from the first post)
Speaking of that episode, you just know Kion tries telling Simba about how Nduli may be up to something bad and Simba just looks at Nduli doing a frog blink and he’s like “Does he LOOK bad to you?”. Though imo I think the lesson of not jumping to conclusions fits better in this au than canon
Yk Nduli would either enjoy the “Everyone is Welcome” song or just not know wtf is happening but get into it anyway hfhtgd
Unlike in canon and other aus, Bupu doesn’t have the heart to try to fight Nduli. Argue, yes. But trying to stomp on him like he did with Makuu? Absolutely not. The one time Nduli actually gets annoyed is right when the guard steps in to stop him
Ig Twiga and Vruga Vruga would set the trap because they wanted to teach his FRIENDS a lesson but still feel super bad when Nduli almost falls into the trap instead
“Let Sleeping Crocs Lie” has a WAY more wholesome ending. Yes, the crocs still wake up and yes, Kiburi gets pissy about it, but Kiburi would NEVER challenge Nduli to a mashindano. Kiburi still goes against Nduli’s orders to try to take the water the float needs and they DO have a spat when Nduli brings up his idea but it’s less of a challenge and more like
Nduli: Then the mammals won’t get much water, that’s mean :(
Kiburi: If you got a better idea, then go for it
Nduli: Compromise on the watering hole
Kiburi: What?
Nduli: We’re compromising on our own watering hole so all the animals have enough water
Kiburi: Compromise? Since when is that the crocodile way?
Nduli: Please? 🥺
Kiburi: …. *sighs* I’m gonna regret this, but I can’t say no.
And what appears to be magical disney reasons, it actually works out well. Now Kiburi has to go reflect on the monster he almost became/hj
I think “The Little Guy” would play out the most differently in this au cuz I don’t think there would even BE a rival float lmao. Instead, Hodari would need to try to prove to Nduli that he can be a good (honorary) crocodile. Nduli’s still rejects him at first, albeit he’s nicer than his friends. I will admit, Nduli’s more confused than anything when Beshte introduces Hodari to him
Makuu and Kiburi still don’t like each other in the au but neither of them are willing to duke it out in front of Nduli for their leader’s sake. Nothing is worth upsetting him
Tamka and Neema are definitely still the same
Oh and Nduli still doesn’t like Thurston, so the entire float hates him now djhhehd
Nduli actually becomes a great leader. Maybe there’s a time where he orders his friends to stop disrespecting the circle of life and they immediately listen. They’re not gonna argue with him, it’s Nduli! He’s wonderful. He just wants everybody to be happy, who’s gonna fight that?
