Going insane about how Claudia only went along with tricking Terry into leading them to the Garden of Innocence at Aaravos’s nudging and was feeling bad about it the whole time but followed Aaravos’s lead regardless, and then Aaravos deliberately used it as a wedge to drive Terry away, and Claudia says she knew he’d leave when he found out the truth, but she doesn’t know that Terry found out because Aaravos literally said “Claudia’s manipulating you btw”, conveniently leaving out (in the way that he does) that it was his idea and he had to constantly reassure Claudia that it was ok and necessary the whole time. Like, I’m not trying to absolve Claudia of the responsibility here, it’s still fucked up to lie to Terry and use him in this way, but Aaravos’s role in the whole thing is indisputable, and the result of Aaravos having isolated her, now having her to himself, without Terry telling her not to do all these things, that she can always take a different path, the angel to Aaravos’s devil on her shoulder, also feels very much intentional. I do believe Aaravos has come to genuinely love Claudia and views her as a surrogate daughter, but that doesn’t mean it’s a healthy bond, and that’s part of why it’s so deliciously fascinating
