Chronicles of the best day of my life.

The day before the concert: I woke up at 5:30 am on that day and slept an hour (sort of), I had to do my daily exercise routine and then got ready to go to the radio station because Amy Lee had an interview there. I went with my mother and at the radio station, I met my best friend and her boyfriend. Almost an hour later the interviewer told us that Amy was very tired and she wasn’t going to come… we thought it was a trick so we stayed anyway until 12 pm, and we left with the idea of going to the hotel “Four Seasons”, to try to meet them. At 5:00 pm we met at the hotel and were tired and anxious at the same time… but once again we didn’t have luck, and we left a little bit disappointed. I was tired and sleepy but I wasn’t sad, the big day was coming, the day I waited for more than 10 years.

The magic day: I came to Tecnopolis at 12 pm and I reunited with some friends, we met cool people there too… and that’s why the waiting was less heavy and more fun. The sun and the mosquitos were terrible but the weather was nice even when the sun came down. At 7:00 pm we started to get into the stadium and it was a chaos! We had to run like we’d been running for our lives because all the people ran and were taking the best places. My group took a place near the front row as me, I only had one person and then it was there the stage in front of me… so I was really close. We waited a few minutes and then the opening band took the stage, the sound was incredible, and if it wasn’t enough Luciana Segovia (singer of Cirse) was their special guest! Around 9:30 pm we were really tired because of waiting, the opening band closed their show at 9:00 pm, so the people was euphoric waiting for Evanescence… I felt it coming, I knew that the moment was near, I felt it in my heart… and YES! They came out and took the stage with an amazing energy, I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing, the band that I’ve loved for 14 years was there, and I was finally there too (almost) in the front row, watching everything amazed and shocked. I sang along with the loudest voice that I could and I cried almost half of the concert. And the most breath-taking thing was that I made eye contact with Amy, she saw me! We saw each other three or four times and I can’t express with words what I felt in those moments. Like a flashback I went to all these times that I was fighting against some sad feeling, I went to the day that I heard them for the first time… and I realized that everything was worth it, I realized that everything happens for a reason, and for the first time I believed that dreams come true if you put the best parts of you to made it. After 20 wonderful songs, the concert was over, and I get out of there to meet my sister and my friends. I will never forget those hugs because since 2012 they’ve been saying to me “don’t worry, they’ll come back and you’ll be there… we all be there”. When I came home I hugged my mom and I started to cry like a five-year-old girl… I’ll never forget that hug too. They’ve been my true support for years and they mean to me more than I can tell.

Homesickness and happiness: I got up with a general pain all over my body because I jumped, I screamed, I shook my arm in a crazy way, and I got too emotional in the past 48 hours… but I was and I am the happiest person on Earth. I already miss them and I’m waiting for them again, but no with the saddest feeling that I had cause I hadn’t seen them before, I’m waiting for them knowing that they are real, that Amy Lee is real, that they’ve loved Argentina… because there were five beautiful smiles on stage, and Amy stood at us with tears in her eyes saying “you are unreal”. The next time will be the best day of my life too, but the next time I’m sure I’ll meet them and hug them… because dreams come true if you wish it with your heart, and I’m ready to keep fighting for it.

I’ve met incredible people, I’ve shared the most important moment of my life with the ones that I love, and I know (doubtless) that Evanescence will always be my home. 05/02/2017 ♥.

I made the mistake of going through the Evanescence and Amy Lee tags today, and it was as usual full of hate, mockery, posts about that stupid fanfiction that is often used to mock the band because of reasons, lame jokes about Bring Me To Life (that song is not called Wake Me Up by the way. If you are going to mock, at least do it the right way), and so on. But as I was venting about it to a friend, he only answered with “There are good posts too, no ? Just focus on these, screw the negative people !”, and just like that I decided to change my mindset regarding this issue. I asked the co-blogger here, and they are more than okay with my idea so here it goes : from now on, we will be reblogging POSITIVE posts about Evanescence and the bandmembers. Promoting the good things will not make the bad vanish from the tags, but we hope this initiative will make the Evanescence side of Tumblr seem less shitty to people who are just becoming accustomed to it, or to people who only visit the main tags and not the safe spaces the fans have created. We hope this will make some of you smile =)
