The funniest thing about the book I'm reading rn is that one of the characters is always like " oh I love my pop :) my dad's so great, love that guy❤️" and whenever he gets mentioned it's like oh you mean fancylad fop from the previous book who gets pegged by his wife????? 😭

hi! top five books you're looking forward to reading (or re-reading)? :-)

Ooh! Yes! Ok! 1) I am so STINKING EXCITED to read The Ruthless Lady's Guide to Wizardry by C.M. Waggoner! I finished Unnatural Magic a few weeks ago and I was/am just obsessed with the worldbuilding in it and the characters so im VERY excited to have more adventures in that universe! I am also not letting myself read it yet! I'm saving it for a little later. I don't know why I'm like this.... 2) The ACTUAL next thing I'm going to read is Fault Tolerance by Valerie Valdes which should be coming out next week! I really enjoyed Chilling Effect and Prime Deception so I'm excited to jump back in! 3) Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki is waiting patiently for me on my bookshelf. I got it as a Christmas gift last year and it sounds like it really checks all the boxes for things I'll like so thats also one that I'm kind of saving for myself. It's comforting to know I have it when I need it. 4) I'm excited to continue reading Dracula! I'm actually caught up on Dracula Daily right now so I'm excited to have that to enjoy as we move into the spooky season (which for me officially starts right after my birthday, September 1st). 5) I am excited to FINALLY read Taste of Marrow, the second half/second novella in American Hippo by Sarah Gailey! I read River of Teeth (the first half) like 3 years ago, loved it, recommended it to all my friends and at this point they've all read Taste of Marrow and I haven't so it's a bit embarrassing. I'm committing to it! I'm reading it this weekend! ( @sillymedoingsillythings @letsoulswander hold me to this guys!!!) Honorable mention: I'm excited to vicariously re-enjoy Unnatural Magic and Ancillary Sword through my friends when they read them per my harassment recommendation! Thank you for asking me this!!!
