i love when people compliment ray’s purple hair in my art because that genuinely was not an intentional aspect of my design for him. i never use pure black or white as a base color in my art and always opt for a very dark purple/very light blue bc its easier on my eyes and i like to fuck around w funky lighting/overlays while shading hair so the finished product can end up looking very purple. but ray with a slight purple tinge to his hair fucks severely so i just sorta leaned into it
