so sometimes i rotate a sequel to parenthood and other terrifying challenges, where minato does indeed screw up getting home and ends up in a timeline where kushina is the sole survivor of the kyuubi attack. i think i've talked about it before but highlights of this premise include

in kushina's timeline, danzo immediately moves to destroy all of kushina's personal freedoms, including trying to force sterilization on her. it was her fault the kyuubi got out, wasn't it?

the entire council also immediately move against the uchiha because kushina reported the guy who attacked her had the sharingan. she feels guilty she reported this because mikoto is the only friend who's shown up to help kushina during her grief spiral

kushina eventually decides the only solution is to pop danzo's head like a grape and go missing-nin. she wants to go kill the guy who killed her husband and baby, but she gets distracted by finding an uzumaki family in kusa

WHY is everyone out here ABUSING UZUMAKI? kusa is kushina's village now. she's the leader now and she's going to to kill anyone who protests. who is going to stop her

i'm imagining this being a shorter fic than parenthood, where the focus is kushina getting to meet naruto and rekindling a romance with minato. they maybe go find obito and stomp his head in. she eventually decides she's gotten karin & her mom to a safe spot in kusa and she can move on and go be with her family in alt konoha!!!

but then i was thinking. and i bet none of you saw this coming. what if in alt konoha. they steal karin

Does Sakura even know the truth about Itachi and how Sasuke’s parents actually died? Of course she does not, Sakura doesn’t even know that Sasuke has a perfect vision and never needs glasses.
