in this world nrc became coed around five years after the current first years graduated

Faraja is just Leona’s child (bc I don’t really ship him with anyone but it just felt right to have one), and she is very like, calm. And super in love with her girlfriend. Big defining trait right there bc she is a sunset savanna feminist. 1. Complétive spell drive champion and princess (though so far removed from the crown she doesn’t care anymore, bc when five people + would have to die for you to get the crown, including your own father, you kinda just. Stop paying attention to it) and 2. Dedicated girlfriend

VIVIENNE is her girlfriend. I called her evie for shorthand until I had the time to look up an actual name. Yes it is after evie from descendants.

Viv is a musician who is definitely a bit of a nepo baby bc of vil, but she’s also definitely talented enough to hold her own without him. She plays guitar and keeps a crossbow on her at all times (imagine those gun thigh straps but magical folding crossbow instead of gun). they met as first years in savannaclaw, and the main reason she transferred was bc the old pomefiore housewarden was becoming a fourth year and REALLY needed someone to take over, so in a panic fueled haze went “hey your dad was a good housewarden, think you can fill in for me? Sorry what was that I gotta go on my internship now good luck with the dorm!!!-“ so she stepped in

(she does have a problem of dressing like a Christian college girl going on a mission trip every time she comes to the savanna tho.)

the entire reason I even thought of putting them together tho was bc I thought it’d be HILARIOUS for leona and vil to have to have the most AWKWARD “meet the parents” dinner EVER. NEITHER OF THEM WERE MADE AWARE BY THEIR CHILDREN BC NEITHER OF THEIR KIDS KNEW THEY HAD MAD BEEF IN HIGHSCHOOL

anyways by the time leona and vil figured it out it was #toolate. Their daughters were already together for a year and a half.

Nami is the first one I ever designed and thought out. She’s also the only one to have a named and fully thought out unique magic

she can speak 7 languages and way too many animal ones, has to go down to 8ths to explain most of her heritage (3/4th Japanese and 1/4italian azul and 1/2 Egyptian, 1/4 Arabian (my lore swap in word bc oh my fucking god agrabah is such a fucking headache. Orientalism is a bitch when it comes to historical research. What do you mean the live action is primarily Indian clothing but narration describes it being off of a river nowhere near that. India isn’t even NEAR an Arabian desert. That was way too much of a tangent- anyways) and 1/4th South Indian Jamil creates the most annoying white girl answer of “oh well ACTUALLY I’m 1/6th French 1/4th German-“ answer but not white.)

nami’s ultimate magic is called siren song. Anyone who hears her singing is made vunerable to her hypnotism. It is not active all of the time, and if someone is out of earshot the hypnotism wears off. She performs weekly concerts at school (which she is fully not supposed to do btw. If either of her dads heard abt it she’d get in trouble for the first time in her life SO FAST-) to get people used to hearing her sing. Just in case she needs to mass hypnotize the school, bc you never know-

nami has also had a serious escape artist problem since she was able to freely transform between her human and mer form (which I have more lore for, but I am making a diagram for that so that shall be a different post). She can and will get up on roofs, inside walls and vents, climb fences, poles, and generally anything. She was air tagged and gpsed by Jamil constantly (kalim was the predecessor), and that was only done to find her after the fact.

She was tossed around as a child like a divorced kid so Jamil could travel as much as he wanted. She’d go to school where azul was based (a fancy ass private school for kids who are like, 110% guaranteed to be mages so they had teachers who could handle it) and whenever she’d go to live with Jamil for a month Azul would just. Lie and say it’s a mermaid thing so she can’t be in person but she can do twst version of zoom- (also whenever she was being swapped the parent would fly with her to the other one. They also spent months together as a full unit and Jamil stopped traveling as much when she turned 11 but that is how she’s visited over 30ish countries)

(also just bc the teachers were trained to deal with magic doesn’t mean they were trained to deal with Nami: expert escape artist(tm). No one has succeeded in stopping her OTHER than when she was 7 and had a pole scaling problem, so Jamil slapped some leggings on her so she’d lose the grip her skin had. However this backfired when she just gained the ability to lift herself up with only her arms. A lot of her skills also have to do with her ability to withdraw her tentacles in like, a split second tho. She can pull out two and use octo strength to pull herself up or scale walls.)

she struggles with fears of falling short however. She feels like she can’t exactly beat expectations, only meet or fail them. It’s not like either of her parents put this pressure on herself, but when one parent was opening up a restaurant and the other was fully abt to stage a coup it’s kinda hard to beat that. She’s terrified of just being, average, bc to her, she should have everything to make her excellent.

She also is good at dancing and piano. She was that five year old who is better at piano than most adults. She also watches dramas with auntie Najma a lot. She is very close with Najma-

So he is very very awkward around her. He isn’t weird abt it with her tho. He would literally rather die than weird her out, bc that is his IDOL/hj. He thinks she’s very pretty as well. The other first years use this to their advantage to get him to come do things with them

those are the most like, thought out and complete ones I have for now-. Samir is kinda just a vibe and not much of a fleshed out character and the rest need legit names before I can confidently talk abt them, BUT rest assured I have MANY thoughts abt them

Okay. Okay. Okay. This next section is actually really upsetting for me, not least because it means Kelsey is a fucking idiot who never looks at her driver's license or student ID or like. Any of her official documentation at all. Apparently she never even asked for her passport back from Mr. Kadam.

Okay, idiot may be too strong a word, but it certainly screams 'CHILD' at me in all caps at the top of its lungs and continues to make the age gap and control factor more and more disturbing.

Jason handed Kelsey the newspaper with her picture in it from when she politely asked the car not to hit the elderly lady who was never so much as mentioned again. Ren says it's probably not a problem but he needs to call Mr. Kadam.

First of all, how did that not come to the attention of the person writing the article when they confirmed her identity for their paper?

Second of all, Kelsey had no idea. She's been running around with falsified IDs this whole time and she has no fucking clue. No wonder Mr. Kadam took care of her schedule. He flew her into India with a fake passport or smuggled her in with the tiger, and I'd like to point out that I fucking mentioned the hinkiness of transporting large cats across national borders way back in the first one. These two men have literally falsified all of her official documentation without her knowledge back to her highschool yearbook. They wiped her from the records. These two men can do literally anything to Kelsey they like, and the paper trail that Kelsey existed will be essentially nonexistent. Sarah and Mike have no legal ties to her anymore. They can't be next of kin or have any authority to, say, visit her in the hospital if something happens to her and she's unconscious. They will have no input in the subsequent medical decisions. I can only assume that Ren got himself in there as the arbiter of all Kelsey's affairs, or maybe Mr. Kadam, which means Kelsey is at their mercy in every way possible.

And all of it, of course, not only without her permission but without her even knowing about it.

That's fucking terrifying.

I don’t really have one. I never see a number and think “Ahah, I just drew my lucky number!” The only number I have that kind of reaction for is 22, because I was born on the 22nd. So 22, I guess ?

I am still a student. I got my Master’s last year and right now I am prepping for a very difficult competitive exam and if I pass, I hope to get into a PhD program.

If you could, would you go back to school?

As stated, I never really left since I’m still in university. As for going back to prior schools, I would consider going back to highschool but I would literally rather be burnt alive than go back to any school before, I am thankful everyday I made it out.

I don’t drive so no.

A job you’ve had that will surprise people?

I worked as a 4th grade teacher in Minnesota for a year. What surprised many of the people who knew me was how much I enjoyed my time with the children and how close I was to them.

If we’re talking about small, unimportant thing: walking slowly on a narrow sidewalk when there are people behind you, chewing with your mouth open, tapping your foot, pen or anything else repeatedly in class, repeating the same ‘empty’ phrase every two words (but in French more than in English, so things like “en fait”, “et tout” etc..).  

If we’re talking more important things, I think the one thing that boils my blood most is people who are extremely uneducated about a subject but position themselves as figures of authority and try to school others when they hold the most idiotic views ever to be presented. 

Any phobias?

Oh yes, needles, hornets/wasps, mutilation, especially regarding eyes, etc... I may look chill but I live in fear 90% of the time 😅

Favorite childhood sport?

The same as my favorite grown-up sport: badminton. Though I played handball for many years as a very young child and volleyball for two years afterwards (but the ‘team’ aspect of ‘team sports’ always caused issues for me.).

The better question would be: do I ever not talk to myself? And the answer would be no, absolutely not, I can tell you from experience the bitch does not shut up, because the bitch is me.

First thing you remember you wanted to be when you grew up?

For a long time I didn’t have an answer to the “What do you want to be when you frow up?” question, because even little, I was keenly aware that we were too young to know and that most if not all of the things other people were picking for a future would never come to be (Yes, I was already a party-pooper). But there were things that I would say I was interested in becoming for fun: the one I remember most is archeologist (I loved dinosaurs and ancient Egypt). Also, there is the famous anecdote in my family that I went to one (1) class of ballet, said that I wanted to be “une danseuse d’étoiles” (which is funny because the real term is “danseuse étoile”, and what I said would mean that I was making the stars dance, not being a “star dancer”).

LOCKDOWN From The EYES Of A TEEN Blog#1

My exams were over on 14th February 2020 this year... After the exams I was finally a free bird flying in the sky🐤🌈. I enjoyed my session break as any other student would do after the exams. There was nobody to question me about my schedule during the "break". I started preparing myself mentally for the next session; new books were brought. My new academic session was supposed to start from 23rd of March. As I am a regular performer in the school Annual Day 💃I was very excited and was looking forward to the new session and the function. At times I could not control my excitement😍 and my emotions by thinking about the function and meeting new people✨

My dreams were shattered on 19th March 2020 when I heard that a new virus known as Covid-19 is spreading very fast in our country. I also got to know that it is a very infectious disease. I received a message from my school that the school classes had been suspended till further notice. I was heartbroken💔because my HIGHSCHOOL years were over before it could start. Soon on 24rd of March it was declared national lockdown from 25th March. I was very disappointed and lost and did not know how to react. All of my liveliness had gone and now I was only left with emotions of grief😭. I had never been in a situation like this before. I was looking forward to some breakthrough from the circumstances which appeared overnight. I could see a ray of hope when I was informed that online classes would start from 25th March 2020. It was a new experience for me so to say a new way of life.

The online classes are quite convincing but I still miss the school environment. I remember the first few days of lockdown for me were very boring or should I say filled with mixed emotions😕. I was having mood swings alot. Everytime I used to think about not meeting my friends or not hanging out with mom on weekends would make me hungry and I would crave for food. In the starting my mom or my grand mom would cook for me. But soon both of them gave up🏳️. I realized that recently I had been craving for food (24×7) hours ( yes even in sleep) can you believe that?!!! I tried alot to control my cravings but I just could not. So in order to fill my stubborn stomach I learned cooking. The first thing I made was 'ZA(Pizza)🍕.Trust me it was so good. My mom was like - " OMG😱 I cannot believe my eyes my daughter just cooked pizza!!!!" And pretended to faint (surcasticly)😂. I was very proud of my self that day because I had found a remedy for my stubborn belly.

During this lockdown I am very obsessed with social medias and memes😏 'cause they make me feel happy. Honestly the lockdown has taught me to -

1.value people (the bestie I used to criticize in school is being missed now for convos)

2. Dance to my heart's content ( the only physical exercise that I enjoy and the only thing I do without disturbing my neighbors😂)

3. Cooking ( you know my mood swings and my wild cravings for delicious food; P.S after lockdown MasterChef India here I come)

4. Fashion show at home ( started styling my clothes and found out that I have like thousands of outfits in my wardrobe which I never cared to acknowledge 😅)

5. Yoga and meditation ( therepy for me and I suggest you guys should try it too)

6.Indoor Games ( played many of them and mastered ludo and carrom ☺️)

7. Positive thinking ( always the only one counseling my negative friends and ending up laughing with them😂)

8. Became fierce ( by remembering the fact that I am trapped in my own house makes me yell at people while texting them or by accidentally breaking things + my mom yelling at the top of her voice " YES break things No No No break the entire house it does not cost anything right?!!! Money grows on trees right that whenever you want you can pluck it from the neighbouring trees!!! First this lockdown and then you (trouble maker😝) you can't do anything without breaking things right NONSENSE!!!!" And then asking me to help her in kitchen 😑😑 I mean mom if you know that I cannot do anything without breaking something then why do you disturb me by asking me to help you in kitchen😂😂😂

Trust me everyday in my house is like a festival or should I say everyday is filled with humour and sarcasm. But when this LOCKDOWN will finally be over I will run to school 😂😂 and I know most of you people will run to your respective works too....

Until then I would request you all to abide by the lockdown and stay at home because our government is taking every possible measures to help the nation and so we as a citizen of our country should obey the rules!!!

After moving to Al Ain October 2017 part 2

They complain I'm on the phone too much? Maybe that's what's keeping me alive since you guys r pretty useless. U keep making me feel useless and dead. Why shouldn't I turn that into a reality?..why do people cut themselves? That's me from grade 9 asking the question highschool gave me the best answer ever...I never even expected it to be this real. Yes I've cut myself, for attention u ask?..that's the last thing I would want from all u fuckers and this shit ass society, I did it for myself. I forget shot so easily I keep no grudges unlike everyone else. It's weird to forget about something that almost tore your soul apart and after a hour ur talking to the person like nohing happened, but the worst part is when they hurt u even harder with the same words as before and u realise how fucking stupid you are to letting the person do thw same shit again. I cut myself to not forget the pain I have and how easily everything fades away for a while and I feel so normal...all my feelings change except the feelings for life.
