Haven Type: Modern Minimalist Hellbox in San Francisco

Protection: You may be thinking "damn that's a lot of natural light for a vampire haven" and you're right- the privilege of being the kind of rich that only vampires can achieve is having your house made of floor to ceiling windows be outfitted with screens that give the illusion without letting any actual sunlight in (think the dubai penthouse in iwtv). As for intruders outside the electromagnetic spectrum- that's what the skeleton army is for.

Decoration: The most soulless, lifeless, "this is what a house is supposed to look like now nobody touch anything" type of minimalism. Everything is uniform, everything is black white grey or beige, even the occult tomes have covers to make them look indistinguishable from a series of encyclopedias. If it wasn't for their reanimated servants to do maintenance everything would be covered in a layer of dust because Everest does nothing with 95% of it. The one and only thing resembling a personal touch is a couple aircraft schematics they have hung in their room and even those are framed the same as every other piece of shallow wall art.

Everest and his room at Raphael's house ! It's a guest room, so it reflects more of Raphael's personality than his, but it's the first place he's allowed to stay at that feels like home. And the shutters are closed at all times.

Raphael's room. You'd have to imagine the floor and bed covered in books, clothes thrown on the chair and bed. He's used to living alone, but he tries to clean up more since Everest showed up, the vampire having a tendency to trip over his stuff. Oh, and that flower is definitely agonising, he's not very good at gardening.

Elafi and His Room in Warrick’s Cabin

Elafi is the kind of person who definitely has more plushies than bed. He also has a small bookshelf with books he brought from his old home, along with the rug, and a small wardrobe. The chair is there for Warrick whenever he has to keep watch when something happens to Elafi and he’s confined to bed.

It’s not the same as his old room, but Elafi has managed to turn this space into a safe and comfortable place for himself.

Fidi and Her Room in Madame Lavenza’s Mansion

White, cold, and impersonal—all of Madame Lavenza’s pets’ rooms are exactly the same and equally dull. They have no windows, but the bed is very spacious and comfortable. There should also be a small vanity and a little chest beside the bed, where Fidi keeps his sketchbooks and pencils.

Tigri and His Room at His Parents’ House

Highly personalized. His shelves are supposed to be filled with Lego spaceships and anime or video game figurines. He also has a gaming PC with lights and some posters. During his absence, his mother tries to keep the room clean. Sometimes, Zuri, Tigri’s little sister, sleeps in his bed on nights when she misses her brother too much.

Could I actually draw the vehicles? Yes, I have the practice from drawing Transformers, Knight Rider and Herbie. BUUUUT my Samsung tablet is literally kicking my ass here and refuses to cooperate, I literally can't work on bigger artworks or take too long in a single piece for lack of storage space - that's why I'm opening these slots in the first place, to be able to afford the fix-up of my desktop computer so I can get back to work properly on bigger projects and teach my online classes in peace. Sadly I still wasn't informed how much it'll cost for them to fix it, the tech guy got sick this week (I did too, argh), so he's still going to take a look at my computer, and whatever money I had, I'm spending on food day by day. Right now as I'm typing this post I have only R$20 in my account, which is a bit less than 5 US Dollars 🥲

Trivia

Obligatory figure skater oc because it's something I've always wanted to do since I was a wee lad.

They have the same owner as Everest and they're extremely close with her, considering common likes and dislikes. Being products of the same owner will do that, I suppose. They're a few years younger than Everest and they consider her to be an older sister.

They're admitted into ANAKT at the same time as Everest, but due to their age, they're in separate classes.

Everest wins Season 36 as Pirou is still training for his own season. He was set to participate in Season 40 with Toki and Clove.

He does NOT participate in Season 40, obviously, as something happens beforehand (that'll be a separate backstory/lore post). They're now set to participate in Season 41.

His 'elf' ears are based off of Venlyx' fascination with Old Earth folklore and fairy tales. She modified Pirou's gene pool quite a bit and gave him those ears as well as a tail. Both are extremely expressive similar to Ichor. (if i had a nickel for how many ocs i have with a tail, id have 2 nickels. which isnt a lot but its weird that i have 2.)

Pirou was very weak as a child, and so Venlyx put them into figure skating to build strength, balance, and flexibility. It worked a lot better than anticipated and Pirou grew to fall in love with skating. His home was on ice and it was one of their only comforts.

Is pretty obedient and stays in line more often than not. They're aloof, gullible, and extremely shy. They don't like approaching people or crowds and prefer to let people approach them and befriend them. However, when you get to know them, they can get a bit talkative and is actually super sweet and kind!

Fluent in French. According to the gene pool, he is Korean and French.

His preferred singing style is more lullabies and humming. There's a lot of lyric-less songs he's orchestrated. He plays classical instruments with guidance from Venlyx.

if you notice that i stole yuzuru hanyus height, weight, birthday, and in the future his outfits for pirou, no you dont.

use they/them as much as possible, he/him is only there because originally they did use he/him and were transmasc, but i switched it to amab nonbinary and now were at amab demiboy,,,, mostly nonbinary than boy. in reality they dont really care all too much about their gender, but they find the most comfort in androgyny.

A short chapter, but there's bigger stuff coming.

Everest's smile wavered as he heard Raphael sniffle quietly. He realised with stupor that the human was crying, and it was like the blood in his veins had turned to ice. Why ? Why was Raphael crying? He could barely think straight, pain pulsing through his mouth. It was his fault if Raphael was sad. But why ? He had just fixed everything, and made sure such a terrible thing would never happen again.

Maybe... Maybe it wasn't enough. After all, his fangs would grow back. Maybe Raphael wanted something more definitive ? Everest could still remember the day the hunter had poured liquid silver down his throat, melting his insides. It had been the worst pain he had ever felt in his life, by far. At least, what little he remembered of it. But... Maybe, if it was necessary, he could accept it again. He would need to be held down, but he was ready to do anything to convince Raphael to keep him.

Anything.

Lost in his somber thoughts, Everest flinched as he felt the human's hands cup his face, and he leaned into the touch, desperately. He would be good. He would be the bestest monster. He just needed a chance to prove it. But Raphael spoke, his voice shaking slightly, almost pleading.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm stupid, I should've seen it coming. Ev', I'd never wish for you to hurt yourself, or to be hurt by anyone. I love you kid, you need to believe me."

It took him a few seconds to take in the words, tears running down his cheeks. He had messed up ? He had failed, again ? And Raphael was blaming himself ? Everything was so wrong, so far from the norm that had been branded in his mind. For the first time since the human had first brought him home, Everest began to understand. Maybe, the iron laws that had been burned and cut into him were not entirely true. It was a lot to take in, and he started to sob, melting into the human's arms.

Raphael's vision of their relationship suddenly shifted. He refused to believe Everest only saw him as another master though, the way the small vampire came to him after a nightmare was a proof of it. But the conviction that he was somewhat less than a person was still strong in his mind, and had deep roots.

It would take time for it to change. And Raphael would have to play a more important role. But for that, he needed to know. What exactly had been done to Everest, to make him like this. A child, in a man's body, who saw himself as vermin.

But for the moment, dams were breaking, and they were crying in each other's arms

1: If they were a piece of jewelry, what would they be?

Something like an old bracelet, y'know those in dirty gold, thick, that slip around the wrist. After a while you forget you're even wearing it as it warms up, and it feels just right. Home.

2: What is their primary love language, both for giving and receiving?

Touch. Everest has spent so long being isolated, rejected by both humans and vampires, and even if he doesn't remember his life before the hunters, his body unconsciously does. That's why his teddy bear is so comforting for him, it's something warm and soft he can press to his chest. And that's also why he was so quick to trust Raphael after he carried him in his arms, without showing hatred or disgust.

And it's also one of the only things he can do to show his affection to others, as he can't speak.

3: How would they react if they discovered that one of their loved ones was being used as bait to lure them into a trap?

Everest probably wouldn't even notice that it's a trap, or wouldn't care. He's very easy to lie to, or to lure, you just need a soft voice and a gentle touch and he's yours. So if Raphael was in danger, he would either be completely paralysed, or would run in whatever trap was set.

1: What is one thing they vow to never tell anyone?

It’s not like she swore it to anyone—it’s more of a personal promise and out of respect for Neli. But Fidi promised herself never to tell anyone about the things she knows her friend goes through.

2: What brings them comfort?

Drawing—it helps her calm her mind and distract herself. She also finds comfort in talking to Neli, Tigri, or Elafi, her only and first friends. Sometimes, sleeping also soothes her, especially in very cold weather.

3: If they had one single wish, what would it be?

It would definitely be to have a free life—not having to constantly fight to survive, avoid being a hunter’s prey, or end up as someone’s pet. She just wants to live her life her own way.

early 20s and some kid hang around a record store somewhere. things happen!

one day i just stopped all my friends and asked if i can make ocs based off of us and we're hanging out at some corner store like Clerks the animated series. Changing "some corner store" to a record store and we're here.

They live in Somewhere Shore city, Vincent and Everest work at Somewhere Shore: Record Store (ppl just call it Somewhere Records). Everest has to often look after his quiet little cousin Reen, even if he's working. Milo and Oswald are usual customers that like hanging around (are also often the reason for problems happening around the store, to Everest' distain). Milo likes to tinker and sometimes does freelance to help with broken machines, like record and cd players. Something gay is going on with Oswald and Vincent but they'd be caught dead before they'd admit it. And Everest has a big loser crush on the nicest guy you'd ever meet, Connoly.

They also have a band! It's called We are the Same, they most of the time meet up at Oswald's garage to play. they don't get many offers but this is Somewhere Shore City, it's a little too quiet for what they'd want to be.
