Would have been on theme, I think." Taking a swig from the drink he'd grabbed for himself, he gave her a cheesy smile. "You'd have won the gala."

"Guess we'll find out," Beck joked as she laughed, "do you feel lucky?" At least on Beck's side, he was relying a lot on luck because there wasn't a lot of skill. Since they weren't attempting any Sambas or Cha-Cha's, he felt pretty solid. "I don't know whether to be offended by that lack of faith or not," he teased. He felt pretty confident that their feet would be safe, though jury was still out on any other potential chaos to those around them. "It's very...ethereal or something. It's cool." At least she was equal opportunity in her lack of trust in their process. I dunno, I think you seem pretty graceful." After a brief pause, his wheels started turning. "Should we try our luck with a dip?" Was that the technical term? "What do you say?"

Chloe couldn't help the laugh that slipped through her lips at his words, quirking a brow. "Damn, maybe I shouldn't have put that kind of energy out there," she said in jest. Thankfully, there were no disasters happening as they danced. Yet. Chloe continued to dance as she listened to him speak. "Ah, it's always good to have cat-like reflexes. But I don't know if you could break my fall. If I go down, I think you're going down too." It was a nice thought, though. "Deal," she spoke with a grin before looking down at her dress. "Oh, thanks. I kind of centered my entire look around it, so I think I made a good choice." Another laugh broke through at his last sentence. "Hopefully! I don't know if I'm that graceful to make it look good, though."

eah thing but make it FASHION aka met gala themed but I'm sunburnt and only half awake right now #30 (PART I)

SURPRISE! I'm alive and well. Mostly. I'm getting ready to leave for university so I am tireeeeed. Anyways. I know there was a lot of controversy around the met gala and that I'm extremely late in doing this, but I do want to make this post to still add some ever after high fun and to also have some fashion fun with the help of Pinterest. The theme is (with great consideration of your suggestions and of my own deliberation) "Hans Christian Dior: A Spellelebration of Fable-ous Fashion"

This mainly came from research on past met gala themed and how quite a few of them are themes after specific fashion houses or designers AND from the Thronecoming special (which is PEAK fashion in the series besides Way Too Wonderland and Spring Unsprung) where Cedar calls out Duchess for wearing a fake Hans Christian Dior dress! (note, I am trying to mainly use Christian Dior gowns/outfits for this because of the reference in Thronecoming also sorry for the blurriness)

Briar is THAT GIRL. She is flushed in hot pink looking gorgeous with about every inch of her glittering with body shimmer, glitter hairspray, and shiny shiny jewels. I like to think that instead of the gold detailing in the pictures it would be silver and that the closer embellishments would be rose detailing to honor her usual aesthetic and legacy

Faybelle is serving every bit of whimsy and darkness. Her accessories and the layers of her dress and even her hair seem to be alive with lightning crackling around. Her wings are extra pretty and equally terrifying with silver thorn adornments that are magically light enough to not weigh her down

Ashlynn's look was partially inspired by Lady Tremaine's silhouettes in the lie action Cinderella while still maintaining the color palette of her usual outfits. Her look combines the beauty of the enchanted forest and foliage and the classy, fine china patterns you'd see in a royal palace. She is absolutely radiant and of course while walking up the steps of the Met, she loses a slipper ;)

Duchess has taken a slightly different approach to her usual fluffy-tulle outfits and gone for more of a paper swan look. The sharp angles provide a dangerous look to her, contrasting the soft purple accents and the feather headpieces she wears. She seems to float on air and she walks through the crowds of people in her gown, a true picture of elegance and grace with a touch of darkness to her

The one and only Apple White is DRAMATIC. HUGE HAIR. BOLD RED MAKEUP. EXTREME DRESS SILHOUETTE. THE MOST ROYAL JEWELRY YOU CAN FIND. She looks like something out of an editorial magazine on royalty. This entire look is a more elevated look of her daily wear, and she wears it with grace and sophistication

Darling looks so DARLING! I do think the gold on the dress would be swapped out for silver and that the pearls would be more pink-y toned so it would match the jewels in your basic outfit (same with other accessories). She's sticking with the sort of rococo hair that she usually has because it's iconic let's be honest. I was debating on giving her a more armored look but for this I wanted to embrace her softer and delicate look

Rosabella looks like a French aristocrat from an old Hollywood movie in my mind for an event like this. Nevertheless any fur details are faux, after all our girl is still an animal activist (slay queen). I think the dusty gold-brown tone of the dress with the deep red accents and jewelry pays a nice homage to not only her day to day look but to Belle's iconic yellow dress. I also feel like her and Briar would contrast well because Briar is very bright and vibrant in her look and Rosabella is more muted and understated which I like a lot

anways I'll make a part 2 eventually, I have all the collages made I just need to create a post and write descriptions. But for now I'm gonna go back to packing and planning for uni and I'll get back to y'all when I can (and hopefully my fanfictions, who now haunt me in my dreams)

Events To Script At Hogwarts

St Valentines Dance

—Valentines Day party hosted by prefects and seventh years

—The great hall becomes covered in enchanted multi-colored roses and flowers.

—Iridescent stained glass windows and lights cover the great hall painting the whole area in red, white, silver, and blue, and purple

—Enchanted notes that reveal crushes to the receiver

—Charmed Floral Scented Roses and Flowers across long tables of pink and red.

—Self Love affirmation notes raining down from the great hall, giving everyone a personalized compliment

—Floral Teas, and sweet cupcakes

—At the end of the night amortentia potions are given along with notes that say “Potions won’t create real love, give this to someone you want to give your real heart to”

All Hallows Eves

—A Halloween themed party that takes place outside the forbidden forest

—Costumes are mandatory

—Fourth years and higher are the only ones allowed in attendance

—ghost are allowed to roam the forest and scare the students

—pumpkin carving contest judged by the ghost, and centaurs

—Costume contest (It get competitive. Imagine the met gala but with magic)

—seventh years bribing first years to go into the shrieking shack.

—Huge bonfire at the end of the night where the Hogwarts ghost tell stories

End Of The year/Beginning Of The Year Bonfire

—Near the end of the year and the beginning of the year and after exams, and after everyone is off the train. Everyone from every year goes to the quidditch pitch and has a huge bonfire

—Curfew is lifted the professors don’t mind at all (Some of them, even join in. It’s a tradition at this point)

—All years are invited

—As a tradition first years must be the first ones to light the bonfire (But quidditch players will do it too)

—Everyone comes in no matter their house or blood status, they all have fun and ride their broom sticks and even the ghost enjoy the light

"I don't know, think it adds to your rugged charm," Beck quipped, "like Indiana Jones." Though the actual cause was probably less cool. They might be running out of ideas, but they weren't out yet. "Exactly," he replied, excited that Vitus was following where he was going. "No one hits someone with a cupcake in hand...unless that's what happened to you, then...rarely." Moving toward the chapel, he paused, "...what should we do with it in the meantime? Do we hide it until we have a solid plan?"

"Matching sides would be nice, but I'm not sure my pretty face can handle much more punishment than this," Vitus said, fanning himself dramatically, like he was a contestant on a reality TV show. Beck's mention of that kind of party dragged a low snicker out of Vitus's mouth. He'd been to that kind of party, seen the folks who attended, participated in the demonstrations himself. One quick glance around the gala, and he couldn't imagine any setting less appropriate for a party like that. "Okay, I see what you're going for. A kind of peace offering, huh? That's not a bad idea. But—wait, have they even served dessert yet? Maybe we should go check in the chapel?"

There were always formal events for the park rangers out in Wyoming, or the occasional nice dinner that he had been invited to by friends, a wedding here or there, but it had been years, he was sure of that, since he had stood in front of a mirror, trying to knot a tie, and once he was there at the Gala, he had to admit that he did feel nervous. But a drink would help with that, he hoped, as he stepped up to the bar. "Whiskey, neat, please," he turned to offer the person next to him a small smile, before pausing, eyes narrowing a bit. Mushroom Kingdom Here We Come! - Ch1 Event

Following a message within the group chat, Cecilie stood perfectly still in the bunker. Awaiting the others to meet her, as she greeted each and everyone who came in with an excitable wave and a laugh. “Hello, everyone. It is time to converse and celebrate with the sprites, may I ask you to hold onto me in some way?” She offers her hand to whomever is the first to take it. “So long as you hold onto one another, we all shall arrive. Hold hands and let us begin this festivity.” 

With the baby chain promptly formed, Cecilie offered the gentlest hum as she played her own UNTITLED.MP3. Light overtakes them until the scene becomes clear.

Welcomed into the whimsical land of the fae by your guide, you’re all led through the forest and the brush to the fairy gala. The sprites don’t pause in their dance routine, but your arrival is noticed by the wildlife. Some take to the skies, the brush, though a few regard your arrival with wary curiosity, approaching nervously. 

Though it’s not like the gala needed much in the way of decoration, Clarabell went all out  in making the place festive…In her own way. The decorations she provided were limp and out of place in a location already so fantastical. Balloons littered the ground and the tables, unable to take to the air without helium. A few of the sprites half-heartedly bounced one back and forth between them before abandoning it to continue with their dancing. Forlorn streamers dangle limp from stumps and trunks, swaying half-heartedly in the occasional breeze.

Witch sits at one of the tables, dressed in a more extravagant-looking, star-themed witch outfit, including a hat with an even bigger brim. Spread across the table are a variety of fortune telling tools: a crystal ball, several candles, dice, pendulums, and of course, her personal deck of tarot cards. At the edge of the table, propped up by a Nendoroid of herself, is a small paper sign that reads “Free* Tarot Readings.” She stares at her phone, seemingly uninterested in the happenings around her.

Cecile hurries to bring the refreshments she made from the kitchen, aided by a series of fairy sprites. Snacks and cuisine and beverages line the tables, including peanut butter cookies, finger sandwiches, fruit salad (without orange slices), fruit punch and hand-iced cupcakes. She appears to be asking the fae if she has made enough; fretting quietly to them as they giggle. 

And finally, Swan is found by the toadstools ringing the tables, fiddling with his newly purchased synth machine and accessories, hooking up and snapping a series of cables and a tangle of wires. He certainly looks busy, only offering a cursory wave before returning to his work. 

At the very least, the music wafting through the air is compelling, enchanting, and you feel almost inclined to move along with it. And the sprites don’t seem adverse to your presence, even welcoming you into their dances and games. 

It’s meant to be a party, right? Why not relax and enjoy it?

"I feel like this entire event is your aesthetic," Stelly turned to Mandy as the twosome made their way across the grounds, eyes full of wonder. Whoever had put the event together really had done a beautiful job; even Stelly, with their love of all things dark and broody could find the serenity in the fairy lights, the lace covered tables, the wild flowers and soft music. "But be honest with me, Mandy... how hard was the battle within you and just how did you manage to convince yourself not to show up dressed as full-blown Tinkerbell?" Try as they might to keep a straight face, Stelly grinned.

It's that time of year where we put the sneakers and jeans away, and don something fancy, do our make-up and hair, and head out to raise money in style. Quite literally.

Gathering at The Little Chapel just off of Black Creek in the countryside of Merrock, the Enchanted Forest Gala will be held from 5PM EST until the last person stumbles home. The chapel itself has been set up with food and drinks indoors, as well as plenty of room to sit and relax, to take a load off, or escape the outdoors (although… why would you want to?). Bathrooms are available to refresh yourself, so don't fret! Soft music will be playing indoors, as well as a large screen set up to show scenes from movies such as The Last Unicorn, The Princess Bride, Never-ending Story and many, many more fantasy favorites.

Outdoors, you will find the hub of the event. Tables set up for eating and drinking, or just sitting around to talk. They're finely decorated with lace tablecloths and wild flowers, lit with twinkling fairy lights overhead. Trees have been wrapped in lights, with strands strung between them, covered in moss and plants. An area has been designated for dancing, with a live band -- though they're happy to take requests! -- under the lights. You can head over to the creek and sit on the small dam, or relax on the bank, as well!

The fee to attend covers admission, food and drinks for the night, with proceeds being donated to a number of nature programs around Merrock.

Remember: the theme for the night is enchanted forest, and this is a formal event. Outfits should be inspired by magic, the forest, woodland creatures, flowers, twinkling lights, anything that makes you think of a magical, fairytale forest and its inhabitants. Enjoy your night, Merrockites!
