Although the poor working conditions and declining finances of Joey Drew Studios in its final years were public knowledge, it was what went on at the company after hours on the lower floors that would be the secret that Mister Joey Drew would carry with him until the very end of his life.

By all accounts, this was only the third idea I had to think of for this prompt.

I originally thought of doing something about SOTM, because of "Secret", you know. Kind of an obvious direction, right? But since I had already made "Umbrella" SOTM-centric, I didn't want to repeat the game or the idea, I wanted something different from what I did for the last prompt. Then I thought of doing something with Wilson. Maybe tie it in with his audio log in Dark Survival. But I thought about this idea a little more and realized that in the end, I would just be rehashing an idea I had come up with a few months ago. Of course, it was a separate piece, not related to the event, but like I said, I didn't want to repeat past ideas. And I also didn't want to make a drawing that in the end would just be a redux of a drawing I had already done this year.

In the end, I went with the Ink Demon. Always draw the ink guy when nothing else comes.

And come to think of it, he fits the prompt well. "The head of this animation studio was responsible not only for the creation of ink monsters - one including a twisted, demonic version of the company's mascot - but also for the deaths of some of its employees (some correlating with the creation of these same monsters)" is something I would consider a secret. A big secret, at that.

I wanted to illustrate the day the demon broke free. We know he was locked away, and that he definitely ended up breaking free. How, I don't know. But he's the Ink Demon. He's That Guy, so I don't question it too much.

I don't think I'd consider this drawing to be "This is definitely how I imagine the Ink Demon breaking free." It was something I did on the spur of the moment. It might be similar, but it's not THE way I see it, you know. I don't know where or what Joey thought of locking this guy up, but considering the most dangerous thing the Ink Demon ever did in the beginning was "wander around the office" (going by his audio log), I didn't go for anything too big. A cell in a room deep in the basement is clearly enough for a being like this. It's not like he's capable of hurting anyone,right?

Well,it didn't work. He broke free. Which wouldn't be surprising.

After all, it takes more than a few metal bars and an old wooden door to stop a tyrant.

There were so many great prompts; thank you everyone for submitting ideas and voting! There were also a lot of ties, so I took some liberties and combined prompts with a similar vibe to make room for all the top votes. Does this mean we technically have like 17 prompts for Sukka Week 2023? Yes, and I am not sorry about it.

"What I should be doing, instead of wasting time chatting with legends who probably have a stick up their ass and think they're Arceus' gift to the world below, is my god damn job." Vourison snapped back, tail lashing in agitation.

"Besides, I refuse to drag the kids anywhere there are potentially dangerous individuals. Gods knows what will happen if an Arceus' shows up, and I'm not willing to-"

"GRUNKLE VOURISON, WE'RE READY FOR THE EVENT!"

"YEAH! LETS GOGOGOGOGOOOOOOOO!!!"

Tempora and Iter had zipped out of the house wearing a thick, dark, fluffy cloak. Being giant dragons, they didn't exactly have anything approximating sleepwear, and this was the closest thing they had. It was enchanted to keep them warm and safe, and they had fallen asleep wearing it many times before.

Vourison stared at them for a long moment, ignoring Eroubus chuckling beside him. Then he let out a loud, frustrated groan, tossing his arms up into the air. "Fine. Fine! We'll go to the damn sleepover. But you two better stick close to me when we go." His voice softened marginally, "And, if for any reason you want to leave, just tell me, ok?"

"We promise!"

"We'll stick to you like glue!"

Sunpuff seems to be VERY interested in Golden Monkey. With its very small stature and Golden Monkey's huge size, it takes this opportunity to attempt to climb him. There's a lot of excitable noises coming from this little guy though.

Sun reaches over to grab the spiralmonster before it can even get on Golden Monkey and places it right next to him instead, "Stop." He says, mildly annoyed. Sun wipes the palm of his hand on his pants and huffs.

"I don't know what made them think this was a good idea." Clearly he's putting some massive distance between him and Sunpuff.

Sou spent hours a day scrounging up sticks and bark, snapping vines and tying his would-be lumber together. He'd hoped to find something special by following a river bank. He followed the sounds of rushing water to that of a waterfall, seeking shade from the sun's rays on his skin. Great dangers lured fools in with beauties like this sight, and he wasn't alone. He wrapped his slender arms around himself and his splendid inventory protectively, but that stature... ... ... how familiar, and what a small world.

"Ms. Reyes... ... ...?" He kicked a pebble with his sand encrusted shoe, "I'm not intruding, am I? It's odd running into you in such serene places." His languo hair stood up in the slight breeze, clearer to see without his usual sleeves. Of all things, he shivered despite the heat.

It's Mystery Week in this tiny bookstore tucked into a street corner of Archimedes and he was reading out loud from the very first pages of A Study in Scarlet. He doesn't have much of an audience to begin with, but this little boy's acting like a nuisance. Where are his parents, anyways?

' Hey, Sherlock Holmes is a classic, ' he mutters back.

"For old grandpas like you!" the boy sticks out his tongue and picks up one of the specially sold detective teddy bears to aim it at his head. "Take this!"

The toy goes flying.

Cranky Kong's DND Planning 13 (i think)

haven't done anything CKDNDP wise since my failed one-shot (luckily i spun it and made a backup character into a major npc if players go to that area) but tomorrow (today but i haven't slept yet so it's tomorrow shhhhhhhhhhh) I plan to try to convert the map to inkarnate, it's not very conducive to it though, so I might have to just do things in my head, unless I figure out the rng map tokens. After that I need to figure out how to do the plot, I think i'm gonna do an outline, Because people are unpredictable so I can't really go too in-depth (because they might not do the exact thing for this part [in like a big fully written thing] to even be relevant you know). Outline should cover like, basic milestones I want them to pass, so like do whatever they want, but they always end up here, kinda thing.
