• cis, she/her, aroace lesbian,

• when she was younger her care-keepers used to take her to a lot of psychiatrists because they were afraid inyo might have had something from antisocial spectrum,

• she is descendant of siberian indigenous people (the nenets/insert other uralic nation here) that assimilated with russians (so that's where her last name came from) and then they moved to tokio. so inyo is third-generation immigrant (this term sounds so american but i couldn't find better words to describe this),

• inyo just like tiger and miko was growing up in the orphanage but she haven't had anybody to help her with a second language so she learned russian all by herself,

• of course she also knows english, so it means that she knows 3 completely different alphabets,

• when she is stressed out, she starts quoting shakespeare in her head (this is hamlet most of the time, but also macbeth),

• (season 6, hot property episode) she is presented as this mysterious female coach that meets with suspicions from others,

• so, before cognito played against strikas both of the teams met and inyo talked to shakes, convincing him to look up for a new house and gave him a penelope's bussines card (she rented an apartment from her for the duration of her stay in south africa),

• yeah, inyo and penelope are two different people, but hold on,

• the next day, she and shakes met accidentally at penelope's office, so while inyo was there bcs of a "payment problems", shakes wanted to talk about penelope's house offers,

• when penelope and shakes left for a few minutes, inyo copied from penelope's phone other clients numbers (including shakes) so she could impersonate as one of the employees of penelope's company (or penelope herself) and mess up with shakes,

• after some time, inyo dressed up as the notary arrived at shakes's new house and started installing small cameras,

• she didn't even used it to spy on him, she just informed penelope about damage shakes and spenz were doing and what was caught on the cameras, so penelope terminated the contract with our beloved male mary sue,

• oh and cognito won in this episode.

• (between season 6 and 7) inyo would be more of a minor but still important character here. i think she would just ghost everyone in this series. also bcs of the fact that we all loved the idea of helena being part of iron tank team, inyo and helena have the longest screentime together, next to the interactions between inyo tiger and miko,

• (season 7, mind over matador) very similiar situation to what happened to shakes in previous season, but this time inyo impersonate doctor carmen (who is also a completely different person and not inyo's alter ego), so when the real doctor carmen is not around, inyo undercover is fucking up with el matador's head,

• aileen was the only one that had odd feelings about this, bcs doctor carmen she knew was never much of a hugger.

relationship with:

• helena: open interpretation tbh, they can be queerplatonic but also queer in general. helena probably was the one who get attached first. they are like moon and sun, winter and summer. and bcs they are around the same age and one of the few women in super league they were forced to cooperate. but inyo trusts helena more than anyone, even tho she would never admitted it

So I first: I went through your blog and it was a very nice discovery! In love with what I've seen so far! Especially found of the mood boards and Zodiac analysis you did for Arthur and Isaac (that is such an original concept and am whipped).

I hope you're not crumbling under requests for this event, and I'd like to request a matchup too if that's fine by you :)

Not in a bad way he was intrigued.

One evening, Le Comte were hosting an event in another place so you got ready and you wore this dress.

And for no apparent reason you tried so hard to focus but for a brief moment you felt like everything was around both of you was vanishing away. Like tears in the rain. You heard the noises around you rising and you looked around to see that the guests started to leave due to the rain the was heavily falling. Everyone got in a carriage. At the moment you remembered that you forgot your bag there and the only one that followed you inside was Arthur. After going inside and taking it. No carriage to be seen because no one stayed there but Arthur. "I got my bag! Let's go" you said. You walked out of the building while Arthur was trying to shelter you with his coat from the rain. "I think we can not find a carriage dear" He said almost yelling. "What are we going to do?" You asked. "I say let's find any public building to spend some time in until the rain stops" he suggested. That moment you felt tired and sleepy. The cold almost broke your bones. "Okay, let's go quickly" you said. Upon going to church because the building was open. You took a deep breath of relief. "Are you okay?" Arthur asked. "Yes I'm okay, what about you?" You said. Arthur smiled "please Mary I'm a vampire" he said. You felt dizzy so you set down on a bench and after that everything became dark around you and you lost all your senses. Waking up the day after you were at the mansion in your bed. You looked left and right but no one to be seen in your room. So, you get dressed and went to the dining room to search for Arthur. But he wasn't there. You found Vincent instead. "Hey Marry how are you now?" He asked with a big smiley face. "I'm good, where is Arthur?" You asked. "He is in his room" he said. And you stormed out to go to his room. You knocked the door and you heard his voice from the inside "come in" he said. You opened the door, "why are you shy come in luv" he smiled. You intered the room. Then you threw yourself on his lap. "Thank you for helping me Arthur" you said. It was like the whole birds in Paris gathered in Arthur's chest and you heard the most light-hearted giggle from him. "I know I love you" he said while giving you the cutest smile ever. " I think I love you too" you returned it with the same smile. Closing your eyes feeling his lips on yours pressing so softly.

Arthur is a romantic lover even though he doesn't show it often. He will notice every shift of your mood and react accordingly. Also he is a sweet gift giver. Every gift he gave you had a meaning like this one.

But no one can deny how powerful and amazing he is when it comes to writing poems and drawn your every detail in them.

He would literally write the most romantic poems about you and sending it to you.

He is really into writing letters especially if you both didn't have enough time to spend with each other or both of you were busy doing your errands.

MBTI’ing the OTP: Valentine’s Day Special

These are just my personal ships, FYI - you don’t like em, no problem. Just thought I’d analyze the MBTI types of all my faves. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Friends: Chandler and Monica - ISFJ & ESFJ

If I had to pick my idea of a great IRL romance, this would be it. Best friends who fall in love. Chandler is the ISFJ, hesitant, eager to be liked, sticking to his guns and more practical in some ways than Monica. Monica has been typed as both ESTJ & ESFJ, and I can see a case for both - she’s ESFJ on this site and ESTJ on others. Either way, she’s more controlling and uptight than Chandler, but in some ways less practical and more emotion-driven. They make an interesting couple that works surprisingly well, who manage to balance out each others’ strengths and weaknesses nicely.

Steven Universe: Ruby and Sapphire - ESTP & INFJ

The OTP to end them all, Ruby and Sapphire are an interesting case of opposites attracting. They have the exact inverted functions of each other, Se-Ti-Fe-Ni, and combine to form the ISTP Garnet. Ruby is impulsive and Sapphire sees the future. Ruby is aggressive and Sapphire patient. They’re a great match, though potentially volatile since they’re so opposite and yet so similar. It makes crazy sense for characters with inverted functions to form a permafusion.

Harry/Ginny (ISFP/ESTP)

Everyone has a HP OTP, it seems, and mine is HG. These two have a pretty classic MBTI romance combination - both SP artisans, who like living in the moment and are often impulsive. Harry is more emotional and broody and Ginny is more logical and practical. One interesting point that I think makes these two compatible is that Harry’s Fi makes him hard to talk to and comfort easily; it takes someone with extraordinary tact and patience to get him to communicate, and Ginny has that as a Ti/Fe user - a strong perception of others’ needs. Makes them pretty perfect for each other.

Swarkles Robin/Barney (ISTP/ENTP)

These two have a rather unusual combination of MBTI - Both high Ti users but different perceiving functions. Robin, the ISTP, is a clear pragmatist who has difficulty with emotions. Barney is a big idea guy who bounces from one thing to the next endlessly, with the philosophy that new is always better. Both are a bit on the impulse, fun-loving side in this case, making for a very whacky couple with lots of sitcom adventures. Favorite line between them: “I’m such a mess, why do you even like me?” “I guess cause you’re almost as messed up as I am.”

Buffy/Faith (ESFP/ESTP)

Time to put my Buffy-verse OTPs out there! Once upon a time, I did ship Spuffy, but I’ve turned to the Fuffy side of things as time went by. Anyway, Buffy and Faith are both Se noms who love action and living in the moment. This goes badly for them in “Bad Girls” but there is a certain degree of mutual understanding between two Se doms. The difference is their T/F functions - Faith is utilitarian and Buffy inwardly moral. However, as the series goes on they come to a better understanding of each other. I always enjoy their chemistry, even if they don’t get to be canon.

Angel/Cordelia (ISFJ/ESTJ)

My biggest Buffy-verse OTP, one most people don’t get into without seeing the spinoff show Angel. But Cangel has my heart. I love slow-burn friendship ships. Anyway, the MBTI. Both strong Si users, but with a nice balance between them; Angel has the ideals and empathy that influence Cordelia to be a kinder person with his Si/Fe;  Cordy has the grounded practicality to keep Angel from disappearing into broodiness, and they balance each other out perfectly for the first 3 seasons of the show. Definitely love this one and always angry at Whedon for not letting it happen.

Daria/Jane (INFP/ISFP)

Don’t know if  y’all have seen Daria, but check it out of you have the time. It’s great. Anyway, another one with two of the same dominant functions: Both Fi’s. This means they’re both highly moral introverts who love artistic expression but struggle with expressing feelings aloud. That’s Daria and Jane, all right. The contrasting perceiving functions show in how Jane is more willing to engage in the world and give stuff (cheerleading at one point) a try, while Daria is more hesitant and less engaged. I do ship them - they’re best friends and the show wasn’t shy about teasing them. Noncanon ship here.

Clois - Clark Kent/Lois Lane (ISFP/ESTP)

I love these two in any incarnation - I’m a sucker for bickering friends to lovers - but my favorite is Smallville. The same MBTI makeup as Harry/Ginny earlier - I guess I like this combination. Again, part of what makes it work is the similar perceiving functions, but nicely balanced TF opposites. FI can get a little brooding and introverted on itself, while Ti/Fe can sometimes become too pragmatic and insensitive, so they help each other out in a lot of ways. Something about Clark/Lois just works for me - another pairing of a sweetheart dreamer and a snarky pragmatist who bicker because they care.

Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy (ESFP/ENFJ)

My favorite incarnation of these two is the animated series version - they have such great chemistry there and Timm says they are canon here. Anyway, this combo is rather frequent in fiction, ENFJ often paired off with high Se users for some reason. Ivy as the ENFJ has a lot of tact, perception and motherly behavior that helps her sweet-talk and care for the impulsive and damaged Harley. Harley, the ESFP, has a certain knack for connecting to others, and helps Ivy avoid becoming too misanthropic, since Ivy kinda hates humans in general. Great pair of wicked gal pals.

Frasier’s Niles/Daphne (INFJ/ENFP)

One of my rare pairings with complete opposite functions. But in some ways my very first OTP. They’re both Intuitive dominants, dreamers with their minds in the clouds, who are attracted to each other but take forever to act on it in any way. Both are emotionally driven - Niles outwardly, Daphne inwardly - with strong personal ethics; tertiary Thinking functions, and inferior Sensing functions. They’re definitely opposites attract, but with a caveat of perfectly aligning functions. I love this ship so damn much; it’s such a great mix of hot chemistry and tender love.

Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson (INTP/ENFP)

Peter and MJ have many different incarnations, with varying functions. The consistent seems to be that Peter uses some kind of Ti (ISFJ, ISTP, ESTP, INTP) and is usually an introvert, while MJ is an extrovert with a strong intuitive function (ENFP/ENFJ) or occasionally adapted into an ISFP. Either way, my favorite version is the comics, which lean towards the first interpretation. As an iNTP I get along well with the ENFPs in my life, but more importantly I love this pairing too. High Ne combo that sees the possibilities in the world, and the classic Ti/Te balance.

MCU Stucky - Steve/Bucky (ISFJ/ESTP)

I have some other MM slash pairs, but they’re mostly from anime so they’re not on this list. Anyway, Stucky. Both Fe/Ti users, with dominant sensing functions of different perceptions. Steve is more of a stick-to-it kinda guy, Bucky is more willing to try other options (this pops up a lot in their interactions, with Bucky suggestion different Paths and Steve not backing down. Who says Se’s are more stubborn than Si’s?). There is a great devotion between the two, though. I know it won’t be canon but that never stopped anyone from shipping before.

Gravity falls Dipper/Pacifica (INTJ/ESTJ)

Another noncanon one. This is a very unusual combo, I can’t think of many stories that even have these two types. Both are high Te users, which in this case practically guarantees a Bickering Sexual Tension kind of relationship. Both are pragmatic and long-term planners, with Dipper being an Ni-dom who overplans and over-thinks everything, Pacifica a strong pragmatist. Both are Type A’s with a lot in common, who learn from each other. His stronger Fi function helps her come to terms with her lower Fi, and act morally. It’s very sweet.

Parks and Recreation Andy/April (ENFP/INTP?)

I’m a little uncertain of April’s type, since I’ve seen lots of different typings for her across the board. My best guess for now is INTP. Another pairing I just adore, this time canon and married. They’ve got just a great balance, both being impulsive dreamers but one more openly affectionate and the other more reticent and practical. These two just work well together - balanced and loving and supportive. The strong Ne they both share (I think they do) makes for some great vague and impractical connections. I fell in love with this ship right away, as soon as my cousin showed me the episode where they move in with Ben.

CSI Grissom/Catherine (INTP/ESTP)

Grillows is another ship that I regret not being Canon, since they have some serious chemistry. Both are strong Ti users, practical and analytical, but with contrasting perceiving functions. He likes theories, she likes to go out and do. This creates that kind of contrasting Holmes and Watson style duo between them, though Grissom is not always right, and Catherine tends to balance out his more theoretical and distant attitude nicely. She can make mistakes too, like being too impulsive or emotional, but it always feels like there’s good points on each side.

Pride and Prejudice: Elizabeth/Darcy (ENFP/INTJ)

One ship that me and Charity (and let’s face it, most people) share. They just work so perfectly together. Two intuitive dominants with big ideas, similarly blunt Te manners of analyzing and addressing logic, and reticent Fi that makes it hard for them to just talk about their feelings. The journey from bad first impression to happy ending is so enthralling every time. Austen definitely created a timeless winner with this one.

A 120 wire cable has been laid firmly underground between two telephone exchanges located 10km apart. Unfortunately after the cable was laid it was discovered to be the wrong type, the problem is the individual wires are not labeled. There is no visual way of knowing which wire is which and thus connections at either end is not immediately possible. You are a trainee technician and your boss has asked you to identify and label the wires at both ends without ripping it all up. You have no transport and only a battery and light bulb to test continuity. You do have tape and pen for labeling the wires. What is the shortest distance in kilometers you will need to walk to correctly identify and label each wire?

I don’t really understand this one but I’ll take a shot. So I’d group them to make dealing with them easier and label the groups at the start. Then take the grouped end down with me so that I could test and figure out which wire goes with which using light bulb and battery group. I’d label as I go. Then I’d have to walk the end back to the start. So 20km? I don’t know. I just know when labeling lines and hooking them up, I always go down and back up.

Ah, a nurse. I believe that you dear Ellen may be the first I have come across with the piles of applications and find it very refreshing to come across yours. So far with your questions you managed to answer two out of three correctly which is very promising as is your hobby for training dogs. Did you know that Sherlock at one point decided he would attempt to train a stray dog that had wandered into our neighborhood? A filthy if not friendly fellow. It was a shame that mummy wouldn’t allow Sherlock to keep him as I figured it would be a great companion for both him and might socialize Eurus a bit however after the ‘incident’ with Victor I feel fortunate that the poor creature found a loving home elsewhere. I can sympathize with the what others may call “resting bitch” face as both Sherlock and John claim that I have it despite my best efforts to look more enticing to young Watson but alas, I fear that she too like her father is wary of me and my intentions.It is also very comforting to find someone that validates my past decisions concerning the distressing business of Victor because even in my age I feel it was right and if I had to go through with again I would only change a few things like putting her into isolation in the first place without outside interference. Your line of work sounds very intriguing as from what I gathered you must work with adult or child like patients versus infants labs but I could be wrong. I’d love to discuss it over dinner.

Extra Typology Vol #3 - 0. System Overview - What is this?

As this system is still relatively unknown and not as intuitive as the Essence Types, I wanted to give everyone a quick 101 on the system so we’re all on the same page, basically the same very primer I had from internet research which lead me to be so very interested in buying the book - perhaps it will make you interested in buying it, too. 

Also, a thanks to @jerdle for making me aware that this stuff exists in the first place. 

The Idea

Apart from his one foray into typology, the author of the book has mostly worked in the field of psychiatry and the treatment of personality disorders in particular, and that’s kind of where his concept here comes from, basically the idea that some disorders are “malfunctions”/ “corruptions” of normal functions  (or perhaps the other way around, that when people develop in a disordered way due to abuse or simple wiring errors, they manifest symptoms in ways characteristic to their traits) 

There’s a lots of traits here that were once considered full-blown personality disorders but have been relegated to “traits” or whole other classes of dysfunctional tendencies. - And of course, these days, psychiatrists have mostly switched to diagnosing based on a multidimensional measure of functionality (ability to control emotions, recognize reality, distinguish between self & other) rather than fixed categories exactly because of the problems that not all patients can be neatly grouped into just one box, but also because a lot of the criteria read like a list of slanted descriptions of regular, even potentially helpful traits with a handul of actual glaring dysfunctionalities at the bottom, with those being what makes it an actual serious illness that greatly impacts one’s functionality and quality of life. 

There’s something slightly problematic in discribing an illness with a list like “not good at socializing”, “dresses oddly” and “believes they have special powers”, because you could fit a substantial amount of it without being actually abnormal (Not everyone who isn’t good at socializing & dresses oddly believes they have special powers - and in specific context even non-disordered people can be capable of believing in unusual things, for example in religion or conspiracy theories.)

So for the same reasons that when it comes to diagnosing & treating disorders a functionality based system with few categories is probably better, these commonly described “traits” might merit a further look, and that’s possibly how this book and the typology system started therein came to be. 

Disclaimer: That said, I will try to avoid or skim over the subject of psychiatry in my further review, analysis & summary because that is a delicate can of worms and I don’t know fuck about it; I don’t wish to end up ruining the day of people who already have more than enough on their plates or give the impression that I’m romanticising anything I have no clue about; I only wish to describe & popularize the typology system as a tool for self-improvement, mutual understanding and the creation and analysis of fictional characters. 

The System

As explained in the masterpost, this is more of a multidimensionl trait-based system in which you don’t necessarily have one particular type, but there’s a list of traits that you either have or don’t, and both the convernation & gradation in how pronounced they are would vary by person (though one could theoretically imagine a person who would be pretty close to a “pure” representative of a type)

The traits themselves strike me as fairly specific in that at least I personally could fairly quickly sort them into “hell yes/ hell no/ maybe”. 

For example, I’d be “Idiosyncratic-Solitary-Artistic-Serious-Leisurely” (perhaps with ‘Vigilant’ tacked on at the end instead if you exclude ‘artistic’ but I don’t really identify with it that much) and your type would be described by listing 3-5 of your most pronounced traits. 

The specific mixture probably matters & creates a great deal of your uniqueness  (for example, in my case the ‘artistic’ trait somewhat softens the ‘solitary’ in that I’m not that unflappable, let alone unexpressive (heaven forbid!), though I’m very distinctly a hardcore introvert (to the point that I barely have any desire for friends, communicate mostly over technology and sometimes find it hard to cope with my live-in boyriend)  whereas the ‘solitary’ trait’s need for clarity & a detached POV thankfully puts a regulatory valve on the ‘idiosyncratic’ trait’s “inner woo-woo” )

This can also be responsible for a person’s “hidden dephts” - One illustrative  example I read was of a radio host who had a lot of traits you’d expect in this occupation - High on Self-Confident, and Dramatic, midrange Agressive - but also scored pretty high on Devoted, surprising the tester at first, but then, it turned out that he had a huge reputation for loyalty in both his current and former workplaces. 

In the case of my boyfriend (1w9 INTJ) I’d say he’s very high in both ‘conscientious’ and ‘self-confident’. The result is an individual who is not very flashy at all but very commited to doing exceptional work and feels compelled to contribute to “the saving of the world”

Though the book (which originated the system) “starts out” with 14 original traits (which will be therefore be the ones that get covered in depht in this series) Like with the temperaments (Supine) and Essence Type (Solar), later users of the system have added some additional traits, also based on psychological concepts/dysfunctions that could be considered their unhealthy extremes or perhaps rather what happens when the associated “software” has “glitches”.

How appropriate, right?

I often see discussions about Erwin and how many think he's INTJ, ESTJ, or ISTJ.  With what I've gathered from what we've seen of him in canon (and not fandom canon, canon), I think that he actually fits ENTJ the most.

This will contain spoilers.  You've been warned.

I use 16personalities.com as my main source, and upon clicking on the ENTJ information page, this quote caught my eye:

“The underlying thought running through the ENTJ mind might be something like, 'I don't care if you call me an insensitive bastard, as long as I remain an efficient bastard.'”

--Erwin is an efficient leader

Think of what we've seen of him, and what we know from Shadis' talks. Erwin was the one to establish new strategies in the Corps

--He's energetic

Though this might have become less emphasized once he started to get beaten down, Erwin is enthusiastic about the cause.  We saw it in the flashbacks of his days as a trainee, and even Isayama said that Erwin used to get smashed and party as a youngster. (Where's THAT spin-off, I wonder.)

--He's self-confident

Again, this may have faded into the background as he became weaker through the story's struggles, but Erwin would not have accomplished what he did if he had not had confidence in himself.  Think of how he handled Eren's trial, think of how he answered questions from the Police again and again.  

--He's strong-willed

Erwin did not give up until the very end.  And even at the time of his death, he pushed Levi to choose Armin over him.  Erwin is authoritative, because it's part of his personality.

--He's strategic

I shouldn't have to explain this.  Between him, Hanji, and Levi, Erwin is the big thinker and strategist--the one that Armin looks up to even now.

--He has charisma and is inspirational

Think of his speech to the 104th class.  Think of how he greeted Eren into the Corps.  And god, think of how he brought Levi into the Survey Corps. It's no wonder why people look up to him.

--Erwin is stubborn and dominant

In the back of my mind, I just saw Levi and Hanji nodding furiously. The man's willpower was almost so strong, it was selfish.  And we did see glimpses of it-- “I just want to get to the basement,” he lamented to Levi.  Hell, he was even dominant and stubborn in his death.  Levi was all ready to give Erwin that serum, and then, nope, I'm still your goddamned Commander.

--He's intolerant

Erwin is the last person who would have let the Central Police act upon their bullshit.  He was even willing to offer himself up as bait to successfully overturn their reign.  

--He's impatient

Erwin has a low tolerance for bull-shit.  We saw it with Nile (who, honestly, can be just as bad) mostly, as well as with Levi at times. But it's because Erwin has such great expectations on himself, he literally can't help being hard on people.

--He's arrogant

You can't sit there and tell me that you read the entire clash of the Titans arc AND the political arc AND not think that Erwin has an arrogant streak in him.  He's incredibly rigid--and yes, it did save the Corps and Eren from further destruction.  But it's a reckless abandonment of his own safety, because I'll do it my way.  Cue the scene of him slashing Eren free from Bertholdt. Was it a good thing?  Oh fuck yeah it was.  Was it also a bit arrogant of him?  Couldn't he have let the other soldiers do their job--couldn't he have trusted the rest of his forces? No.  Erwin knew that he had to do it his way. Because so far, his way had been the right way.

--He doesn't handle emotions well, and is seen as cold/ruthless

There are plenty of examples of this.  Because I fucking love Erwin, I'll list as many as I can off the top of my head:  his speech to the 104th class; he ordered Levi to beat the shit out of Eren to prove a point; he was willing to sacrifice hundreds of lives in their mission to capture Annie--both missions, actually, and that includes civilians; he passed on his title to Hanji without full explanation or well-wishes; he tested Nile plenty of times; his speech to get Levi to join the Corps; he cast the decision of who to hand off the serum to, to Levi; he tested Pyxis' loyalty as well; one of his biggest motivations was the horrible death of his father, and he could not let it go.

Still not convinced?  OK, here's another quote from 16personalities:  

“If there's anyone ENTJs respect, it's someone who is able to stand up to them intellectually, who is able to act with a precision and quality equal to their own.  ENTJ personalities have a particular skill in recognizing the talents of others, and this helps in both their team-building efforts (since no one, no matter how brilliant, can do everything alone), and to keep ENTJs from displaying too much arrogance and condescension.”

Who are those people, I wonder?

Mike, who stood by Erwin and trusted his decisions without question.

Levi, who followed Erwin to the end, but did not hesitate to question his methods and provide a kind of checks-and-balances to his leadership.

Hanji, who not only provided Erwin with theories that he admits he never would have thought of on his own, but who was seen as such an intellect and symbol of what Erwin believed in that he passed on his title to her.

Finally, let's break down the properties of an E-N-T-J:

E-Extroversion, or a focus on the outer world

As I mentioned before, Isayama said that Erwin was a social person, and even after he became Commander, that still holds true.  You don't see him brooding on his own--he usually takes it to Levi or Hanji.

N-Intuition, or a focus on facts supported by other facts

The best example of this is Erwin assessing the situation with Annie in the Forest of Giant Trees.  Note that he calls back to what he learned from Hanji to plan ahead and make the right decisions.

T-Thinking, or a focus on logic

I'm pretty sure the only time we've really seen Erwin overtaken by feelings when making any kind of decision was when they were in Shiganshina; otherwise, Erwin is pretty much an unshakable rock, who can look past the heartbreak (like, losing Marie to Nile) and carnage (losing Mike and many others) and still push forward.

J-Judgment, or a focus on decided paths and plans

Erwin is known as a strategist.  He's almost rigidly “J”-type, which also connects back with some of his personality faults.

Phew. That was a lot.  But Erwin's done a lot.  He's been such an influential character.  And I'm so upset that he's gone.

Dominant Introverted Intuition [Ni]: Ben can think nineteen steps ahead of everyone else and instinctively knows how to get the exact response from someone that he’s looking for. He knows which buttons to push. He is an exceptional manipulator, getting people to play into his hands with ease. Everything Ben does is a step in a long-term goal. He doesn’t do or say anything without a reason. He’s a mastermind who knows how to put an idea in your head and make you think it was yours. Don’t draw attention to yourself. Goodwin, you head to the tail section. If I’m really lucky, this will get you killed and I can have Juliet all to myself. I want lists in three days. While everyone else is still marveling over the crash, Ben has already formulated and executed his plan of action. Ben works by gathering information and acting on it.

Tertiary Introverted Feeling [Fi]: While they may not be apparent on the surface, Ben does have feelings. He just doesn’t typically choose to talk about them. He grieves over Alex in his own, personal way. After he kills Locke, he says, “I’ll miss you, John. I really will.” Although he did care for Locke (despite his jealousy), he did what he thought he needed to do. Ben doesn’t really value the emotional needs of others, ignoring feelings for the sake of the big picture.

Inferior Extroverted Sensing [Se]: Though Ben is aware of his external environment, he’s not particularly good at engaging with it, nor does he seem to want to. He’s content just being the brains behind the operation, though, he does take physical risks when need be. He’ll put his safety on the line if it’s advantageous to his Ni vision. Ben fails to live in the present. Everything he does is to serve his future plans.

I usually get along with NFs for whatever reason, though I think it'd be difficult to date one. Someone to balance my introversion and perceiving would be nice.

4. What types do you tend to get along with the most? NFs, since my kind is hard to find in the wild haha

5. What are your best friends’ types? Do you feel it accurately represents them? Most of my friends are xNFP. Yes.

6. What type do you tend to have conflicts with the most? ESxPs (fun but seriously cannot bond with them without being drunk), half of all the SJs apparently, hardcore NFs, immature NTs

7. Is there someone in your life who you feel their type does not match them whatsoever? I have a supposedly INTJ friend who has a lot of sensor and feeling traits.

I think we usually think our type changed because there's multiple cognitive functions and that can be confusing (disregarding the whole MBTI is mostly BS, of course!) I acted a lot like an ENTJ when I was younger, maybe because of underdeveloped functions (lack of Fe resulting in 'heartless' actions, domineering Ti making everything be about "logic”).

10. What are your parents’ types? Do you get along well with them? ESxP father and ESTJ mother. I cannot /stand/ my father, and I get along only somewhat with my mother. It's painfully obvious that we speak "different languages" but I admire some of their traits. Luckily I have an INFP sister.

11. Do you get along with people who have the same type as you? Sadly the closest I got to this was befriending an ENTP. Entirely my fault for not seeking people out.

12. How bullshit do you think MBTI is? Why? Theory is okay (as far as personality theories go...), test is iffy.

13. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not? No. Come on.

14. Imagine you can choose the type of your future child (assuming you’d have one). What would you choose? Why? A NT child would be easy to take care of since we'd probably share the same interests.

15. What are some difficulties you’ve faced due to being your type? Loneliness - not the feeling but the fact that you're usually the only NT in the room. When I was a child I thought everyone was the same as me, leading to a lot of confusion. My thinking alternated between "why am I like this?" and "everyone's stupid" along the teen years.

16. What are some advantages you feel you have due to being your type? We’re natural academics, a major advantage nowadays. We're also undisciplined and unmotivated and thus our potential can be easily wasted.

17. Do you feel you fit any of the stereotypes that are attributed to your type? Yes, with some exceptions (the poor hygiene thing is irritating...). I try to mimic a lot of judging strategies.

18. How long do you wait before you ask a person what their type is? I don't talk about MBTI with anyone and type others only vaguely.

19. If you could change your type to something else, would you? What would it be? ESxJ, since it's hard not to envy them for various reasons.

If it's an art project NFs would be better because they're usually creative, NTs for a scientific or more individual project, etc.

23. If you’re a Thinker, do you get along well with Feelers? If you’re a Feeler, do you get along well with Thinkers? Yes. My problem with Feelers is how sensitive they are. Of course I'd say that as a Thinker, I understand both sides. But when I'm tired and just want to use my Ti instead of “sugar coating” everything I say I sometimes end up upsetting them.

24. If you’re an introvert, do you get along well with extroverts? If you’re an extrovert, do you get along well with introverts? Yes, extroverts are easier to interact with because they talk in your place lol. They also open up more easily than introverts, which is great if you're not good at reading people. The downside is that it’s unfathomable to them that your need for solitude doesn’t relate to being tired of them.

25. What is one trait of your type that you feel like people should know about? The damned inferior Fe. We’re moms inside.

26. Is there any stereotype that you feel very falsely misrepresents your type? Definitely the hygiene and organization thing! I don't know about other INTPs but I think being neat is important.

27. What is the best way to seduce you? Do you feel like this would work on others of your type? Niceness and intelligence, I'm a simple woman. Yes, I think so.

28. What is one type you would never piss off? ISxx, they’re scary lol.

29. List a few gifts you feel like members of your type would love to receive. Anything that relates to their interests, or something useful. They probably won't value something symbolic as much.

30. You are stuck in a room with one type for an entire week. Name the best possible type and the worst possible type for this scenario. Better: IxTx. I really don't know what could go wrong in this case, we’d both accept that that'll suck and that's it. Worst: I think an ExFx would go crazy.

31. Are there any types you would love to talk to more? I was never able to deeply bond with any Sensor.

34. What is the most annoying thing you find in the MBTI community? The same things I find annoying everywhere else: easily offended people, special snowflakes, people who care more about validation than learning, people who prefer to believe instead of knowing, etc.
