Evangelion Finally. Sony Music Entertainment, Milan Records, King Amusement Creative, 19439843152, Made in the E.U., 2020. (KICA 2583 for the Japanese release, 2020).

1 Audio CD with 15 tracks. Black CD and transparent CD tray. The booklet contains lyrics (English) and two interviews, with Megumi Hayashibara (voice actress for Rei, and Yui Ikari... and PenPen!) and Yoko Takahashi (Cruel Angel´s Thesis).  Apparently, it’s the first time Fly Me To The Moon, performed by Yoko Takahashi, has been released in a full size version.

The translation into English of the interviews feels odd here and there, with some undeniable mistakes, like “Ray” instead of “Rei” in several instances. Nevertheless, the interviews make an interesting reading while listening to the music. 

I realy like track no. 14, “The Image of Black Me”. I thought this one was about Rei. Megumi Hayashabara states otherwise in the interview.

HIIII they got wiped recently but i have playlists of the soundtracks from each eva rebuild movie in the order they're played in the movie. i did the 3.33 one from memory and while there IS a site dedicated to "where does this song play in the show/film?" (tunefind) it's not great and it's owned by songtradr so i'm making one of my own.

One Last Kiss, by Utada Hikaru. March 9, 2021. (ESCL 5488). Sony Music. Made in Japan.

This is a very simple edition. No plastic CD case, but a folded white, matte finish, cardboard featuring Shinji’s face on the front cover, and printing with an iridescent effect, with the audio CD inside a plastic bag. 

The booklet (Japanese and English lyrics) is a one piece folded paper, without any interior pages. Not that additional pages are needed, because this CD only contains 8 tracks, for a total lenght of 38 minutes and 56 seconds, and 4 of those are different versions of Beautiful World (tracks 2 Da Capo Version, 3 2021 Remastered, 4 PLANiTb Acoustica Mix 2021 Remastered, and 8 Da Capo Version Instrumental). Track 1 One Last Kiss, 5 Sakura Nagashi 2021 Remastered, 6 Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) (2007 Mix) 2021 Remastered, 7 One Last Kiss Instrumental. 

These tracks should have been included in Music From “Shin Evangelion” Evangelion: 3.0+1.0. I guess they knew it would sell as a stand alone album regardless... I mean, I bought it. XD

You're asking if I have any thoughts on the piece of media I've been obsessing over for the past two months?? My brain consists of 5% half coherent thoughts and 95% Evangelion hyperfixation!

(Do not expect me to be coherent here, I had to cut out stuff to try keeping this relatively short, I don't think I succeeded pdphfjf If you want more specific thoughts from me you're gonna have to be a little more specific when you ask XD)

I'm so happy I even gave it a try! I hadn't heard anything about it from friends or family, I just looked into it on my own accord which is VERY rare for me!

I do have Shin Godzilla to thank, I only heard anything about Eva through the Shin Godzilla soundtrack that features themes from Eva. (Hideaki Anno got Shiro Sagisu to score it so they did the only logical thing by bringing Eva into it✨)

I'm sad I didn't watch it earlier but I also think it appeared at a perfect time in my life. My mid 20s is being wonderfully fed and inspired by this beautiful, weird and horrifying anime~

Actually, going back to the music real quick! I have an 'Eva favs' playlist that's currently 4 hours long. I'm normal about the music. :)

I love the music so much, aaaa gosh it's got SO MANY GREAT THEMES! There's incredible battle music and wonderful calm and dramatic themes that are all so grand, and there's some truly haunting and disturbing tracks in there too, just ARGH I love it!!

Also, I can't keep track of how many times I listen to Cruel Angel's Thesis in a day anymore..

I'm thriving in my hyperfixation, I gotta enjoy it while I'm in it~

Why do I get the feeling Ms. Marvel would have “Komm Süsser Tod” from The End of Evangelion playing on her iPhone upon realizing that the apocalypse is taking place during the Last Days arc?

Given the other references to manga in previous issues of Wilson's Ms. Marvel run, Kamala being an EVA fan sounds about right.
