Lily and Remus shared a knowing look across from each other at their booth in the Three Broomsticks as Sirius, James, and even Regulus craned their necks to observe another table across the pub.

“You lot have been begging us for a double date for eons, and this is how you wish to spend it?” Remus finally asked then, earning him an aggressive ‘shush!’ from all three boys. 

“This could be breaking news.” James hissed as he kept his gaze steadfast on a circular booth that had you, Barty Crouch Junior, and Evan Rosier cosied up as you enjoyed some butterbeers. 

“What? Three friends who spend the majority of their time together having a drink at a pub on a Hogsmeade weekend is now suddenly breaking news?” Lily snorted. “Remind me to alert the Prophet next time the three of you are spotted here with Peter.” 

“Red, I love you, you’re like a sister to me, but shut the hells up.” Sirius whispered. “This looks different.”

“Different how?” Remus asked bemusedly. “They’re literally just conversing.”

“Yeah but they’re….sitting nearly on top of each other?” James asked then, eliciting a noncommittal hum from Regulus. 

“That’s not new.” 

“Do they often sit in each other’s laps?” James asked his boyfriend incredulously. 

“That’s usually how I find them in the library.” Regulus answered quickly. 

“Wait! What about that!?” Sirius added, causing Lily and Remus to look around worriedly wondering who might’ve heard their party being creepy stalkers.

Once they were confident that no one was privy to their very strange date activities, they turned their attention to your booth where they saw Evan twirling a section of your hair between his fingers with a look of wonder on his face. 

“She does have really nice hair.” James offered in their defence, earning him a displeased scoff from Lily that was mostly for show. 

“It has nothing on yours, though, my beautiful flower.” James amended quickly, shooting Lily one of his warmest smiles. 

“Nice save, Jamie.” Regulus murmured, though he too took that moment to twirl a lock of Lily’s hair between his fingers himself.

“Okay, well that has to be new.” Sirius argued tiredly then as he pointed to your now tangled up form with Barty who was kissing you so deeply that you were basically becoming one with Evan whose lap you’d been propped on. 

“They’ve done worse.” Regulus replied simply.

“Define worse.” Remus deadpanned.

“I don’t know, Lupin; how would you define loud and freaky sex? Better or worse?” Regulus spat.

“Better.” The table agreed quickly before turning their attention back to your table to see that you and Evan were now sitting alone in the booth. 

“Where’d Junior go?” Lily mused, but the answer came in the form of Barty slamming his hands down on their table and levelling everyone with a glare. “Regulus.” He offered politely, before moving his gaze to the rest of the party. “Gryffindor’s.” He sneered as if it were a dirty word. “I have come to ask politely that you refrain from staring at my boyfriend and girlfriend, thank you.” 

And with a flourish, Barty stood and strode back over to your table where Evan smirked salaciously at him and you looked at him with faux exasperation. “See! I was very polite - I didn’t even threaten maiming.” They heard him boast as he reclaimed his seat. 

Sirius, James, and Regulus all let out a hum of understanding. “That’s new.” Regulus finally agreed then.

“What? The title of ‘girlfriend’ for Y/N?” Lily asked with a chuckle.

“And Junior’s newfound manners.” James added as he finally turned his attention back to his boyfriend and girlfriend and their double date.

hello! so this is kind of an angsty request: (set in jackson) reader and ellie have been together for a few years and it's obvious to everyone that ells in very protective of her.

reader had been helping in town way too much and ellie didnt like cause 1) there's other people that can help and 2) she didnt like her gf working at all. so, after a week or so reader is so tired and overworked that she just collapses, maybe even gets hurt and ellie sees everything from afar because she was coming back from patrol. she's very scared but also pissed that her gf was put in that situation, maria and tommy get an earful from her. joel was also mad and comforting her.

The town had been a mess for the last few days, with the incoming anniversary of the town —something all of you took enough pride for to even celebrate it with a massive party—, there was a lot of work to do and lot of things to get ready for the day, and since you were so close to Maria and Tommy —they being part of the council and confiding too much on you—, they very often asked for your help, even if they were more people they could ask for just because they believed you’d do an impecable job.

“Oh, y/n, could you please go and ask Mr. Herring for more whiskey? I think we’re gonna need a couple more bottles.” Maria, who you were helping with the decoration of the salon, asked you. And you couldn’t say no. You wanted to help everyone with the party as much as possible, it was an important event, something all of you were looking for. For another successful year of survival, of life.

“Yeah, of course.” you smiled, even though you were completely worn and Herring’s house was a few blocks away.

“Thank you.” she said, and went back to cutting the little hanging triangles she had been working on all night. It was already Friday. Tomorrow was the anniversary. Everything had to be perfect.

You were exhausted, not for just a sleepless night, but a whole week of hard work.

You had helped with the farm on Monday, when Mrs. Evans had pouted at you, feeling lonely and with a lot eggs to collect and cows to milk for the bakery. Your hands still hurt.

On Tuesday, you had lended a hand to Mrs. Peters with her bakery, helping her fix some problem she had with her oven and, later on, helping her with the cakes for Friday night and her delivers for the day.

On Wednesday, you’d stayed all night awake with Maria to go over some much needed paperwork and radio discussions.

And on Thursday, you’d helped Tommy in the wood shop with some new benches and chairs he was making for the salon. You still felt the pain of the splinters on your fingers.

You couldn’t say no. You never could. ‘Cause these were your people and they had welcomed you with open arms when you had nothing. Now you had a family, friends, the most beautiful girlfriend and your own place to call home. You couldn’t be happier. But you sometimes needed to listen to your own body… And it was telling you to stop, to slow down.

The cold hit you like rocks, making you grit your teeth. You needed to get all the way back to the gates of the town to go find the bottles. Somehow, even though the snow was finally melting and it was easier to move , your feet seemed to feel heavier than most days. You felt lightheaded, and so tired that you felt you would fall asleep at any moment. But you had work to do, and people needed you, so you wouldn’t complain.

You were also feeling lonely, you hadn’t seen Ellie that much over the last few days, most of them her being fast asleep once you’d get home. She wasn’t happy about you working so much, she told you so everyday, begging you to stop and rest. But you’d promise her you were okay even if you weren’t.

You were starving with just a mere cup of coffee on your stomach. You hadn’t been eating much as well, being too occupied to even remember to do so. Ellie would kill your if she ever found out, thank god she was busy as well with her patrols with Joel.

The walk to Mr. Herring’s was exhausting, to say the least. You head was hurting and your eyes heavy. What you’d do for a warm bed right now and your pretty girlfriend...

“Oh, hey honey.” Mr. Herring, a very old and sweet man smiled at you.

“Hi, Mr. Herring.” you said back with the same smile. “Maria asks if it would be okay with you to get us a few more bottles of whiskey for the party…?”

“Oh why of course!” he said, waving his hand. “Love to share it. How many bottles will you need? Will three be okay?” he inquired and you nodded.

“Yeah, three will be perfect.” you smiled. “Thank you Mr. Herring.”

He disappeared for a few seconds under the bar to get the bottles, and a little wave of dizziness hit you, making you rest against the bar.

“You okay, honey?” Mr. Herring asked you with a concerned look, the bottles resting in front of you, gently placed on a bag.

“Yeah, just a little tired.” you smiled. “Thank you, Mr. Herring.” you said as you took the bag to make your way out the licor store.

“You’re welcome, honey! Take care, alright?” you nodded at him with a wave and went outside.

The gates were opening at your right, the patrol team coming back from their morning routes. That meant that Ellie was finally home, but a few steps and a quick turn of head was all it took to make your world start to spin. The sun hit your eyes and your head hurt, your vision going white. You felt the same dizziness that had hit you minutes ago. And to your right a voice came calling for you.

“y/n?” but you were too gone to answer to your girlfriend, who was looking at you with a concerned look beside Shimmer.

Your world turned upside down and your head sunk under the pressure of gravity as your vision turned black and your legs wobbled. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw you fall onto the snow, the sound of crashing glass beside you catching the attention of those surrounding you. Joel was quick to follow to meet you unconscious body, one of the bottles having shattered and cut your forehead, painting your skin and the snow in crimson.

“y/n? y/n!” her voice was laced with panic as she shook your shoulder, trying to make you respond.

She was quick to grab you in between her arms and carry you to Maria’s house, who welcomed you with the same panicked expression.

“What happened?” Tommy inquired as Ellie softly laid you on one of their spare beds, Maria quickly grabbing the first aid kit.

“She fucking passed out!” Ellie screamed, panicked. “And of course she did! You’ve overworked her!” she pointed at Maria. Ellie loved her. She really did. But she loved you too, more than she could handle. And she cared for you, worried for you.

“Ellie…” Joel tried and stop her, ‘cause she knew how overprotective Ellie was over the ones she truly loved, over you.

“No. You know it’s true Joel. They have been overworking her this whole fucking week, even if there are other people that could do it, they always ask her!” she was angry, and very worried. You looked exhausted, as pale as a ghost.

Tommy and Maria gave Ellie a saddened look as Maria cleaned your wound. Ellie had checked. There were no other cuts. Just that deep slash on your forehead. It was still bleeding. She was sure it’ll need stitches.

Joel fell silent, all of them were, ‘cause they all knew it was true.

“You know she loves you, that’s why she can’t say no to you. But there are more people out there willing to help, she doesn’t have to do everything, fuck!” she exasperatedly dragged her hands over her face.

That’s when you slowly started to come back to consciousness, the cut on your forehead making you hiss in pain as you opened your eyes.

“Baby?” you heard Ellie’s voice, and in a mere seconds she was right beside you, one of her hands reaching for your cheek, her eyes focused on you and her eyes brows were furrowed on worry.

“How are you feeling, y/n?” Maria inquired and you look at her, she too looked worried.

“What happened?” you inquired as Ellie slowly help you sat up. You still felt heavy with sleep.

“You collapsed, that’s what fucking happened.” Ellie says and when you look at her, you see her anger under all her worry.

“Ellie…” she shook her head. “I’m sorry baby.” you whispered and you saw her melt, her eyes saddening.

“You scared me to death, you know? Seeing you there, bleeding and unconscious on the floor…” you hugged her, and she holds you gently, Maria pulling away to let you two be. Tommy and Maria leave Joel, you and Ellie alone, knowing you three needed to talk and close the door to the room behind their back.

Joel took the first-aid kit and sat down beside you.

“You’ll need a few stitches, kid.” he said and you nodded. He too looked sickly worried. “You need to say no every now and then, y/n… You can say no.” he said, a warm hand on your shoulder.

“I know. I’m sorry.” he nodded and gently rubbed your back.

“It’s okay. Just…, take care of yourself, alright?“ then it was you who nodded.

Ellie sighs, and you held her hand when she let go of you and you hissed when Joel poured alcohol on the cut to start stitching it up. She rubbed the back of your hand with her thumb, and sat through it all with you, making sure to get you back to your shared apartment and into bed.

She held you all afternoon, all night. And when the morning came, she held you tighter. It was clear that she didn’t let you go to that party, instead putting a good film and making you two something to eat.

It was clear she loved you. And even more that you loved her too.

Ive been perusing off and on. Making observations as I dabble in/do a pulse check on other fandoms. I’m curious. I’m working on energy to get back into reading. It’s been hard, because my mental energy is not in the right headspace for readings. I draw cards and go completely blank. And it’s super frustrating, because it’s not clicking right now. So I’m trying to occupy my brain in the meantime. And I’m sorry I’ve been awful about responding. Soon.

I was reading around the internet on this topic before, and said I would have some feedback. Consider this part 1.

When I look at other fandoms I see the same examples of:

Proof of location via some surrounding item in a social media post (a countertop, a bed frame) and not always posts by the main character, either.

Checking into relationship validity via follows on social media. Sometimes follows of follows….and watching their updates to keep tabs.

Confirmation of location via time that the social media posts are made.

People looking at/for reflections and what they contain.

People emailing/contacting normal folks to verify data when a “sighting” happens. Pretending to be someone or something they’re not bc…well that’s just too much.

Hate accounts that cross-pollinate from one social media platform to another, and are well-known.

The assumption that the females are “bad” for their dudes (ok some might be… but STILL).

Some people who gatekeep data BUT I will say, some fandoms explain (pretty rationally maybe?) WHY they gatekeep and they discuss how they validate their sources. This is interesting.

The threat of doxxing is high on the lists for almost all, in some respect or another.

The assumption that either the actual celebrity OR some of the significant others are on tumblr, and loose association that “proves” it. It’s usually some rando Carol Burnett ear-tug scenario.

In most cases, wild conspiracy theories abound about the love lives, usually in the form of some succubus ingenue…who needs press and persuasion to MAKE IT BIG in the business.

Or this person is dating a racist (hear me out) based on 10 yr old tweets or affiliations dug out of the abyss. Can cite Jakey G, Henry C , Chris E and Ben B as examples where this was brought up. Which is not to say things don’t REEK from the disgusting posts made, but it is absolutely something people look for. Is it more gross that it’s not that hard to find, sometimes? Sad. Gross. Check check.

Or sexuality is ambiguous, which encompasses some part of the discussion. (This happens a LOOOOOOT too). Saw this for years in the Jakey g fandom, and dozens of others.

They always date some random midwesterner 😂😂 apparently the Evan Peters fandom is experiencing this knee-high-by-July uni-CORN bread gf now? Idk.

People automatically assuming a new couple is “endgame” regardless of the rumor starting yesterday or 2 years ago. lol. I’ve seen this seeeeveral times.

- by the time it was new years you two got too drunk to even know. Ya’ll would be laughing at the most stupid things and Kit would be 10x funnier than normal.

Kyle placed his hands on your waist and you rested your head on his chest. The couple swayed to the music in silence until a dance ended up to becoming a game.

Hearing Kyle’s foot steps you put a hand over your mouth, muffling your laughs. Oh! I just had an idea for Evan Peters! maybe a little angsty not to bad but something about his new gf like reader is his best friend but his gf is bullying her you can choose the ending

It has been weeks and weeks since you had seen your best friend Evan and you missed him like crazy. 

You and Evan had been best friends and pretty much inseparable since you were children and even though you had made a pact to never let anything come between you, something finally had. 

His new girlfriend. 

You had always been extremely supportive when it came to Evan's relationships, only ever wanting him to be happy and even becoming friends with most of his now ex's. 

There was never any issue concerning your friendship with him either. Each one of them was completely comfortable with how close the two of you were.

Until now. 

"You need to stay the hell away from him or I will ruin your whole life. You are nothing to him anymore. Do you understand me?"

She had said one day when you were all hanging out. 

Evan had left the room for a few minutes, leaving the two of you alone. 

"What? What do you mean? Is Evan mad at me or something? Did he ask you to talk to me?"

You ask her, trying to understand what could have happened.

"MY boyfriend doesn't know we are having this little conversation and you are going to keep it that way. I don't want you anywhere near him and I will get what I want because honestly, you are nothing."

The pure venom in her voice brought tears to your eyes. 

"Oh get over yourself. He won't even miss you after like a day. Now find a reason to leave and don't ever come back."

You contemplated what to do. Evan seemed happy with this girl and after everything he deserved to be happy but would he really choose her over you if he knew what she had just said to you? 

You wanted to say you knew the answer was no but you weren't sure what kind of hold she had on him. 

"Hey, where are you going?"

Evan walks back into the room just as you are grabbing your stuff to leave. 

"I um have to go. Work stuff."

You quickly lie, doing your best to keep from looking at him. 

"Oh alright. Well I'll see you later tho right?"

He asks and you look over at her. 

"I'm not sure. Things are pretty crazy lately. Maybe."

You say before walking out the door, making it to your care just in time for the tears to flow freely.

As the weeks passed, you dodged calls and texts from Evan every day. 

'Y/N, what's going on? Are you alright? Did I do something? Call me please. I miss you.'

You sigh as you toss your phone into the passenger seat after reading the latest text. 

You wanted to tell him what was going on, to explain why you had just disappeared but the threats of his girlfriend were still playing loudly in your head and honestly, you weren't sure if he would even believe you anyways. 

As you pull up to your house, you see Evan standing out front, waiting for you. 

"What are you doing here?"

You ask him, resisting the unbelievable urge to hug him.

"You wouldn't answer my calls or texts. I wanted to make sure you were alright."

He says with a shrug. 

"Y/N, talk to me. What the hell is going on?"

"Yes, Y/N, we've been sooo worried. What's going on?"

You turn to see Evan's girlfriend walk up from the sidewalk to join you and Evan on your front porch.

"I told you, I'm busy."

You say, doing your best to ignore the stare down you are getting from the girl who hates you. 

"Bullshit. What's really going on?"

Evan knows you too well and can immediately tell you are lying. 

"Evan, leave it alone alright?"

You sigh, knowing he would never or could never do that. 

"No. Tell me what's going on. You were fine a few weeks ago when you were at my house and then you left so fast and now you're ignoring me. Please, tell me why."

You close your eyes as he takes your hands in his. 

"Because of her! That day I was at your house, she told me if I didn't stay away from you, she would ruin my life. She told me I was nothing to you anymore and she would make sure of it."

Evan stands in silence, taking in all of the information before turning to his girlfriend.

"Why would you do that? Y/N is my best friend, nothing will ever change that. How dare you say any of that to her!"

Anger raged through him as he spoke. 

"You bitch!"

She says, making her way towards you. 

"I warned you and now you are going to pay!"

She slaps you across the face before Evan steps in between the two of you.

"You need to leave! Now! Or I will call the cops!"

He says to her, his tone even scaring you a bit. 

"This isn't over bitch. You will pay for this."

She warns again before leave. 

"Y/N, Y/N, hey, shh it's alright. She's gone."

Evan says, turning back to you, seeing the big red mark on your face and tears running down your cheeks. 

He pulls you into his arms, hugging you tightly.

"Why didn't you tell me what she had said?"

He asks, rubbing your back. 

"I wasn't sure if you would believe me or if you would even care. I saw the two of you together. You were happy and I didn't want to ruin that."

You sniffle.

"Of course I would have believed you and of course I care. Y/N, you are my best friend. I love you. It doesn't matter how happy I am, if who I'm dating can't respect you or our friendship, I shouldn't be dating that person. You are one of the most important people in my life and anyone I'm with needs to understand and accept that."

You give a small smile as he pulls away from you, lifting your chin so you will look at him.

"Now, we have a few weeks to catch up on. How about dinner and a movie? My treat?"

He asks and you nod, so happy to finally have your best friend back in your life.

so, in a nutshell: it sounds like the blog existed, it’s an evan peters fan, and she was able to insert herself into this situation by throwing her tumblr blog name into the mix via all these anon rumor mill asks. if true, this makes sense lol
