Chanel No. 5 because it's my mother's perfume

11. Favourite day of the week? Sunday - my ultimate 'me' days 12. What are your hobbies? Running, lifting, designing, doodling, yoga, reading, eating.  13. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Everywhere, I want to see as much of the world as possible, but being specific: east asia, aus and NZ, americas

14. Do you speak any other languages? No, I wish as a culture the English wasn't so ignorant and we were encouraged to learn other languages more

  15. Do you have any siblings? I'm one of six :) 16. Where do you buy most of your clothes? H&M fo sure 17. What’s your favourite restaurant? I looooove Pizza Hut for a guilty treat

  18. If you could do anything and failure wasn’t an option what would it be?  Be a successful editor for a high end magazine and MEGA RICH $$$  19. Pet peave?

Chewing in general, people who bite ice cream (seriously are they like the spawn of satan) people who expect the world to be handed to them on a silver plate.

20. What’s your favourite movie(s)? 

Similar to my books, Memoirs of a Geisha, Harry Potter, About Time and most disney movies. 

21. What are some of your favorite TV shows? Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Simpsons, Big Bang Theory, Friends and Coronation Street (lawl).  22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Potentially living in London, starting to get my career together

  23. All time favourite quote? I have so many, now my minds gone completely blank and I can't for the life of me remember any :(( 

24. How tall are you? 5ft 9"

25. Biggest accomplishment to date?

Getting into a extremely good university and passing my driving test

1. How old are you and when is your birthday? I'm 24. Born September 21, 1989. 

2. Where in the world do you live? Calgary, Alberta, Canada   3. What have you done today? Nothing. It's 8:30am and I randomly woke up earlier than expected and very wide awake so I'm just sitting in bed doing this and then I'll go make breakfast.    4. What’s your favourite song at the moment? I'm the type of person to really get obsessed with a song and play it on repeat constantly for a week, but right now I don't have a song like that. I've been listening to a lot of Alt-J, Birdy, James Taylor, Bon Iver, Ben Howard, and Lynyrd Skynyrd lately. I guess two individual songs would be Let It Go from Frozen (the Idina Menzel version obviously because she's a goddess) and Hot Tonight by Tokyo Police Club.  5. What do you study at school/What do you do for a job? Oh lord! I'm currently work very part time at the Zoo and looking for new jobs. I have a BSc in Biology and Psychology. I'm currently taking anatomy and physiology online to upgrade so I can go back to university for Nursing. 

6. What is your biggest fear? Dying alone. Or being alone forever.  7. What’s your favourite book?  Impossible to choose a single favourite. Ones that come to mind immediately are The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, The Giver by Lois Lowry, The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill and Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Oh and Harry Potter obvi! 

8. What’s your favourite color? Purple, green maroon and black.  9. What’s your favourite animal? Dogs, dolphins, killer whales (or any whales really), gorillas, elephants, cats, polar bears...all animals are sweet. 

10. What is your favourite perfume? Hot Couture by Givenchy or Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana

11. Favourite day of the week? Friday and Saturday. 

12. What are your hobbies? CrossFit, running will be again soon, skiing, hiking, and singing, even though I'm not part of a choir at the moment. Travelling too. Does that count as a hobby? 13. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Anywhere really! But at the very top of my list are South East Asia, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand, and Peru and Chile.  

14. Do you speak any other languages? No. I speak a little bit of very terrible French. I'm a bad Canadian!

15. Do you have any siblings? Yes, one younger brother (22).  16. Where do you buy most of your clothes? Well I currently own mostly work out clothes since I worked at lululemon. Other than that, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, Aritzia, and Old Navy. 

17. What’s your favourite restaurant? I don't have one. A place in Calgary called Pulcinella makes incredible thin crust Italian pizza.    18. If you could do anything and failure wasn’t an option what would it be?  Be a competitive ski racer? Haha that would be sweet even though I don't have the athletic ability or talent AT ALL. Or a marine biologist.  19. Pet peave?

People who constantly cancel plans at the last minute. People who take forever to answer texts - like come on, it's 2014, I know you have your phone on you 90% of the day. Slow drivers and walkers. People who don't use their signal light. I could probably go on forever but I'll stop there. 

20. What’s your favourite movie(s)? 

I'm not a massive movie person...P.S. I Love You, Brokeback Mountain, Lords of Dogtown, Free Willy, Matilda, Superbad, Wayne's World, Garden State, LOTR. 

21. What are some of your favorite TV shows? Grey's Anatomy, New Girl, The Mindy Project, The Office, Parks & Rec, Supernatural. That's what I'm keeping up on or watching right now but there are a bunch of others too I just can't possibly watch everything at once.  22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I'm a nurse (RN). I'll probably be doing some more travelling or just returning from a big trip and getting ready to settle down. I'll be 29 then. Ideally I would like to be married and have kids around 35. We'll see. 

  23. All time favourite quote? Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. (Wise Dumbledore) *keeping that from Eva because I love that one too!

Get to know me...

Eva suggested I do this 'get to know me' tag which is a cute idea seeing as I don't have an 'about' page on my blog. Have a read if you're nosy:

1. How old are you and when is your birthday? I'm 19, birthday 1st June (in such denial about leaving teenage-hood behind it's ridiculous)

2. Where in the world do you live? London, but for 26 weeks of the year I attend university in Cambridge   3. What have you done today? Cuddled in bed with my boyfriend, scrolled through Tumblr whilst having breakfast, went to a lecture about Renaissance drama and am now researching summer internships in the library.   4. What’s your favourite song at the moment? I feel like I'm not really listening to much music at the moment...? But I'm loving 'Pumpin Blood' by NONONO which is on my current gym playlist. 5. What do you study at school/What do you do for a job? English Literature.

6. What is your biggest fear? Growing up, leaving uni and entering the real world. Seriously considering this prospect for too long elevates my heart rate and makes me severely anxious. Should probably try to deal with this. 7. What’s your favourite book?  Aaah I don't know!! I really can't choose. But I am a huge LOTR and Harry Potter fan, books and films.

8. What’s your favourite color? Blue and pink to look at, but I basically only wear black and grey. 9. What’s your favourite animal? Dogs, rabbits, hedgehogs.

10. What’s your favourite perfume?

I wear Dior Hypnotic Poison, but I also really like Marc Jacobs Daisy (so standard I know)

11. Favourite day of the week? Sundaaay (because at uni it means free formal and a night out) 12. What are your hobbies? Reading, singing, rowing (when I'm not injured) slash general exercising 13. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? I would love to go to New Zealand or Australia (mostly from stalking so many people from there on Tumblr!). There are also loads of places in Europe I'd love to visit: Interrailing is my dream holiday.

14. Do you speak any other languages? French to a fairly good level, and German enough to get by as a tourist if I went there.

15. Do you have any siblings? Brother and sister, both younger. 16. Where do you buy most of your clothes? I don't buy clothes that much, but probably H and M because it's cheap! Sports clothes, definitely Nike. 17. What’s your favourite restaurant? Just can't decide. Current fave is Bill's for their DIVINE grilled halloumi salad. Halloumi is my current obsession. Omnomnomnom   18. If you could do anything and failure wasn’t an option what would it be?  Oh wow, what an amazing question. I really don't know. Is that small-minded? Maybe apply for a Masters degree: I'd love to study more but realistically I don't think I'm at the level to successfully apply for post-grad study here. 19. Pet peeve?

Poor grammar and spelling. I have a mug which says "Grammar Police: Officer [my surname]" on it so it's basically official.

21. What are some of your favorite TV shows? The Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Game of Thrones, The Bridge, The Inbetweeners, Friends 22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Waaaaaah see question number 6 I'm physically incapable of answering this question. Hopefully living in London and that is ALL I KNOW.

23. All time favourite quote?

24. How tall are you?

5’6 or 5'7? I don't actually know, I can't recall ever having measured myself/been measured, ever.

25. Biggest accomplishment to date?

Probably getting 43/45 in my IB exams, thereby surpassing my required grade from Cambridge and confirming my place.
