Why are AC EV Charger not eliminated when they charge so much slower than DC EV Chargers?
For owners of new energy vehicles, the impact of AC EV Charger and other charging piles on electric cars is as important as that on traditional fuel vehicles, and the user experience of AC EV Charger directly affects the car experience.
youtube
At present, new energy vehicle charging piles on the market are mainly divided into DC piles and AC EV Charger. There are large differences in technical parameters such as current and voltage. The most obvious difference is power: it only takes 1 to 2 hours for a pure electric vehicle to be fully discharged through a DC EV Charger, while it takes 8 to 10 hours through an AC EV Charger.
According to PwC data, more than 180,000 charging piles were added in Europe in 2023, a 23.3% year-on-year increase. Among them, 39,000 charging piles and 29,000 AC EV Charger were added in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, the number of new AC EV Charger in this quarter showed a downward trend year-on-year and month-on-month, down 43% year-on-year and 25% month-on-month.
Why do AC EV Charger have low charging efficiency but account for a large proportion?
AC EV Charger have low charging efficiency but account for a large proportion. The reasons are: on the one hand, its technical threshold is not high, and the manufacturing cost is relatively low; on the other hand, DC charging piles must match the three-phase 380V voltage, and the power supply department needs to approve it separately, while AC EV Charger are adapted to single-phase 220V ordinary household electricity. The construction of DC charging piles requires the coordination of land and power grid resources. In comparison, the investment and construction restrictions of AEAUTO's AC EV Charger station are much smaller.
Since DC charging piles are the trend of the times, why do we still say that AC EV Charger cannot be eliminated?
Although DC charging piles are the mainstream, AC EV Charger are also indispensable. First, most charging piles are currently built in a centralized manner, and DC charging piles have obvious power advantages; but in the future, private charging piles will become more and more popular, and AEAUTO's AC EV Charger are low-cost and easy to install, which obviously better meets the needs of private car owners.
According to the European Electric Vehicle Development Blueprint released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association and others, it is expected that the frequency of low-power AC EV Charger slow charging in Europe will account for more than 70% in 2025, which is highly dependent on the popularity of private charging piles. At present, the shortage of parking spaces in old urban areas in Europe and the aging of community power grids have made the construction of private charging piles difficult and slow. Fortunately, the EU has included charging facilities in the scope of infrastructure, and various countries have introduced policies such as subsidies, simplified approvals, and upgraded power grids to stimulate the explosive growth of private charging pile construction; coupled with the affordable price of the equipment and easy installation, it is expected to lay a solid foundation for the development of new energy vehicles in Europe.
Secondly, AEAUTO's AC EV Charger has unique advantages and is of great significance in terms of power grid operation. It can flexibly achieve "peak shaving and valley filling", cleverly balance the supply and demand of electricity, and greatly relieve the pressure on the power grid. You should know that DC charging piles are powerful and charge quickly, which saves time for car owners. However, when running at high power, the instantaneous power load will have a considerable impact on the power grid, which can easily cause local voltage fluctuations and unstable power supply. On the other hand, AEAUTO's AC EV Charger are adapted to ordinary household voltages, and the power is stable and moderate. Car owners can charge their cars at ease during their breaks after getting home from work, without having to look for high-power charging piles everywhere and avoid peak electricity consumption. In addition, using the time-of-use electricity price policy and choosing the low electricity price period to store electricity for your car, not only helps the power grid to evenly distribute the power load, but also reduces the individual's charging cost, killing two birds with one stone, and providing a better solution for both car owners and power grid operations.
Finally, AEAUTO's AC EV Charger is more friendly to the battery and helps to extend the battery life. Although every battery we produce will be professionally tested to ensure normal service life, we still recommend that new energy vehicle owners give priority to slow charging when conditions permit, especially if they are not confident in their vehicle's battery management system. After all, battery damage caused by overcharging is irreversible, and the cost of replacing the battery is high.
Other added keywords: charging station mentioned in "AC EV Charger station", power grid mentioned multiple times related to the impact on power grid and power grid operation, slow charging mentioned in relation to AC EV Charger slow charging, private charging piles mentioned in relation to the popularity and construction of private charging piles, battery life mentioned in relation to AC EV Charger being friendly to battery and extending battery life.

Comparing Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Power Systems: What You Need to Know
As the automotive industry shifts towards sustainability, understanding the differences between electric and hybrid vehicle power systems becomes increasingly important. Both types of vehicles offer innovative automotive power solutions, but they cater to different needs and preferences. Here’s a comprehensive comparison to help you make an informed decision.
1. Understanding Power Systems
Electric vehicles (EVs) operate solely on electricity stored in high-capacity batteries, relying entirely on automotive charging systems for power. In contrast, hybrid vehicles utilize a combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, providing a versatile power solution. This duality allows hybrids to switch between gas and electric, offering greater flexibility for drivers who may not have easy access to charging stations.
2. Performance and Efficiency
When it comes to performance, electric vehicles are generally known for their quick acceleration and quiet operation. The absence of a gas engine allows for a smoother ride, making EVs ideal for urban environments. In terms of efficiency, electric vehicles tend to outperform hybrids in city driving, where regenerative braking can recharge the battery. On the other hand, hybrid vehicles excel on long drives, as they can seamlessly transition between power sources, providing impressive fuel economy without the need for frequent charging.
3. Environmental Impact
Both electric and hybrid vehicles contribute to reduced emissions, but electric vehicles are typically the more eco-friendly choice. EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, making them ideal for environmentally conscious drivers. Hybrids, while more efficient than traditional vehicles, still emit greenhouse gases due to their reliance on gasoline. If your goal is to minimize your carbon footprint, investing in an electric vehicle may be the best option.
4. Maintenance and Costs
In terms of maintenance, electric vehicles generally have fewer moving parts compared to hybrids, which can translate to lower maintenance costs over time. However, EVs require specialized automotive power management services, particularly when it comes to battery health and longevity. Hybrids, while offering a dual power system, may incur higher costs for servicing both the gas engine and electric components.
5. Charging Infrastructure
The availability of charging stations is crucial when deciding between electric and hybrid vehicles. Electric vehicles rely solely on charging infrastructure, which is rapidly expanding but may not yet be accessible in all areas. Hybrids, however, can use traditional gas stations, providing greater convenience for long-distance travel.
Conclusion
In conclusion, both electric and hybrid vehicle power systems offer unique benefits. Choosing between them ultimately depends on your driving habits, environmental priorities, and access to charging solutions. Understanding these differences will help you make the best choice for your needs. At National Energy Solutions SA, we specialize in providing expert insights and automotive power solutions tailored to your vehicle’s requirements. Whether you choose electric or hybrid, ensure you have the right support for optimal performance.

Is EV Charging Cheaper than Petrol? | Raw Green Energy Group
The shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) has brought up many questions for UK drivers, one of the most common being, "Is EV charging cheaper than petrol?" As the UK advances towards a greener future, many are considering electric vehicles for their cost-effectiveness and sustainability. At Raw Green Energy Group, we are here to shed light on the cost differences between EV charging and traditional petrol fueling, and how electric vehicle charging stations are transforming transportation.
Understanding the Cost of EV Charging vs. Petrol
To compare the costs, it's essential to break down both EV charging and petrol refueling:
Electric Vehicle Charging Costs: Charging an electric vehicle can vary based on where and how you charge. Charging at home, using a standard electric vehicle charging point, usually costs around 15p to 30p per kWh (depending on your energy provider). Public EV charging stations, such as rapid chargers found at motorway service areas, might cost more but still offer a lower price compared to petrol refueling. For example, fully charging an EV with a 60 kWh battery (typical for many electric cars) can cost approximately £9 to £18 if done at home. This provides a range of around 200 to 250 miles, depending on the vehicle.
Petrol Costs: The average petrol price in the UK fluctuates but is often around £1.50 per litre. For a petrol car with an average fuel efficiency of 40 miles per gallon, you would need roughly £75 to fill a 50-litre tank. This would typically cover about 450 miles, making the cost per mile higher than that of electric vehicles.
Cost Comparison: Charging an EV vs. Refueling with Petrol
When broken down into cost per mile, EVs generally come out cheaper. For instance, if charging at home costs 4 to 8p per mile, driving an electric vehicle is far more economical than a petrol car, which averages around 15p to 20p per mile. Therefore, using electric vehicle charging stations is not only beneficial for the environment but also for your wallet.
Public EV Charging Stations: Convenience and Cost
Public EV stations in the UK, such as those found in car parks, shopping centers, and motorway services, offer various charging speeds. Rapid chargers can top up an electric car in under an hour, making them a convenient option for those on the go. While public charging may be slightly more expensive than home charging (typically 30p to 50p per kWh), it still costs less per mile compared to petrol.
At Raw Green Energy Group, we understand the importance of easy access to EV recharge stations. Our EV car charging station solutions are designed to provide efficient, reliable, and affordable charging options for homes, businesses, and public spaces.
Electric Vehicle Charging Points in the UK: The Future of Mobility
With the UK government pushing for a greener future, the number of electric vehicle charging points is rapidly increasing. More EV charging stations are being installed nationwide, ensuring that drivers have convenient and affordable access to electricity. As a result, choosing an electric vehicle becomes an increasingly practical option.
Why Install an EV Charging Station?
If you own an electric vehicle or are considering purchasing one, installing an EV car charging station at your home or business can be a smart move. Not only does it provide convenience, but it also allows you to take advantage of lower energy costs. Charging your EV overnight, when electricity rates are lower, can lead to even greater savings.
At Raw Green Energy Group, we specialize in setting up electric vehicle charging points across the UK, helping both residential and commercial clients benefit from sustainable energy solutions.
Is It Time to Switch to Electric?
In the long run, the answer is clear: EV charging is generally cheaper than petrol. With the growing network of EV recharge stations and the cost-saving benefits of charging at home or work, electric vehicles present a more economical and environmentally friendly option for UK drivers.
If you're considering making the switch to electric or installing an EV station at your property, Raw Green Energy Group can help. Our team provides tailored solutions for electric vehicle stations, ensuring you have the most efficient setup for your needs.

Charging Ahead: A Comparison of Indoor and Outdoor EV Charging Stations
When people talk about carpark electric vehicle charging Sydney stations, they often think of the charging experience, compatibility, and benefits. But before you get any of these, consider where you will be more comfortable and safe — indoors or outdoors. You will see these two offering electric vehicle charging stations and you need to pick where to park and charge yours. If you do not know where to start, here are some comparisons you might find helpful:
Installation Costs
Indoor - The installation of indoor charging stations can be more costly because there are structural considerations that need to be addressed. It must withstand and hold weight to ensure it is strong enough to give home to cars.
Outdoor - For outdoors, there is no need for extensive structures, though they still need to be sturdy. Outdoor installations are simpler and less costly, so companies on a strict budget can choose this option.
Weather Protection
Indoor - If you need a place to park and charge your electric vehicle without worrying about the weather, go for the indoor station. The infrastructure can better protect your car from weather conditions and elements, keeping it safe and in good condition.
Outdoor - Some people might think outdoor charging stations are unsafe from harsh weather, but this is not true. Professionals will always have a plan to guarantee safety. Outdoor ones have weather-resistant features that make them a good option.
Accessibility
Indoor - If you are not in a hurry, parking and charging in an indoor station is okay. You will not have problems accessing the place, especially if you go there within working hours. But even if it works for you, consider other times that you might need the place. Many indoor facilities close during the night, depending on the operating hours.
Outdoor - If you want a place to access and use any time of the day, go for an outdoor charging station. They are not stricter but still guarantee the safety and security of the cars and the owners. You can get the same benefit if you have a home EV charger.
Maintenance Needs
Indoor - Maintaining an indoor charging station is easy, and it can start with regular inspections. Visual and connection checks will ensure any damage or wear is replaced or fixed. If there is corrosion, it can easily be seen. Cleaning the charging station is also not a challenge, especially if the only issues are dust and debris.
Outdoor - You can also perform visual inspections in outdoor charging stations but do not forget that exterior cleaning is necessary. Remove dirt, leaves, and other debris because letting those buildup can cause problems in the future. Ensure there is also enough and proper protection against weather, like cover and sealing.
Space Utilisation
Indoor - The charging station might take up space because it serves as a parking and charging area but at the same time a commercial space.
Outdoor - In this type of station, less critical space is used and there are more areas for parking other cars.
User Comfort
Indoor - Many people do not want to encounter harsh and extreme weather conditions, especially if they are driving. With this, indoor charging stations offer enough space and shelter to ensure safety.
Outdoor - Charging stations outside can be more exposed to weather conditions and they are not as controlled as the indoor ones. But if staying outdoors will work for you whether the weather is okay or not, then it is not a problem.
Scalability
Indoor - Expanding indoor charging stations can be a bit more challenging and expensive because of structural limitations. It can be disruptive, seizing and lessening operations that could affect the business.
Outdoor - Expanding the outdoor space is easier because there is less disruption. If expansion plans are on the list, it might be better to do it in outdoor charging stations.
Advertising Potential
Indoor - If you are thinking about advertising potential, indoor charging stations might not be enough because of limited exposure.
Outdoor - In this place, more people will see the advertisement and sponsorships. A wider audience can turn into new customers.
Whether you prefer indoor or outdoor charging stations, ensure your vehicle is protected and parked safely. Safety and security are always the priority in these places, so do not forget about them.

How to Choose an EV Charger Installation Company in Birmingham
As electric vehicles (EVs) continue to gain popularity, the demand for professional installation services for EV chargers is on the rise. For residents of Birmingham, selecting the right installation company is crucial for ensuring a seamless and safe charging experience. This article will provide valuable insights on how to choose an EV charger installation companies near Birmingham, covering essential factors to consider, questions to ask, and tips to ensure you make an informed decision.
Understanding Your Charging Needs
Before diving into the selection process, it's essential to assess your specific charging needs. Consider the following factors:
1. Type of Electric Vehicle
Different electric vehicles have varying charging requirements. Understanding the specifications of your vehicle, including its battery capacity and charging capabilities, will help determine the type of charger you need. Most EV owners will choose between Level 2 chargers for home installations, which offer faster charging times compared to standard outlets.
2. Charging Location
Think about where you plan to install the charger. Will it be in a garage, on a driveway, or in a communal parking area? The location will influence the complexity of the installation and may affect the overall cost. Some locations may require additional electrical work or permits, so it's essential to communicate your plans clearly with potential installation companies.
3. Future-Proofing Your Investment
As technology continues to evolve, consider whether you might upgrade your vehicle or battery capacity in the future. Opting for a more powerful charging solution now may save you from needing another installation later. Discussing future needs with your chosen installation company can help ensure your setup is adaptable for years to come.
Researching Installation Companies
Once you have a clear understanding of your charging needs, it's time to research potential installation companies in Birmingham. Here are some key steps to follow:
1. Check Qualifications and Certifications
When selecting an installation company, verify that they have the necessary qualifications and certifications. Look for companies that are certified to perform electrical installations and have experience specifically with EV chargers. Electricians should be registered with a recognized regulatory body, ensuring they adhere to safety standards.
2. Read Reviews and Testimonials
Online reviews and testimonials can provide valuable insights into a company's reputation and the quality of their services. Look for feedback from previous customers regarding their experiences with the installation process, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall satisfaction with the finished work. Websites that aggregate reviews can help you gauge the quality of service provided by different companies.
3. Compare Services Offered
Not all installation companies offer the same range of services. While some may focus solely on installation, others may provide additional services, such as maintenance, support, and consultation. Consider what additional services might be helpful for you in the long run and choose a company that can accommodate your needs.
Evaluating Costs and Estimates
Cost is an essential factor when choosing an EV charger installation company. Here are some tips for evaluating costs:
1. Obtain Multiple Quotes
Reach out to several companies to request quotes for the installation. Ensure that each quote includes a detailed breakdown of the costs involved, including labor, materials, permits, and any additional fees. Comparing multiple quotes will give you a better understanding of the market rate and help you identify any discrepancies in pricing.
2. Beware of Low Bids
While it can be tempting to go with the lowest bid, remember that quality and safety should not be compromised for cost. A significantly lower price may indicate a lack of experience, subpar materials, or hidden fees. Look for a balance between cost and quality, ensuring you choose a company that offers value for your investment.
3. Inquire About Warranties and Guarantees
Ask potential installation companies about the warranties offered on their work and the products they install. A reputable company should stand behind its work and provide guarantees for both installation and equipment. This assurance can provide peace of mind and protection for your investment.
Questions to Ask Potential Installation Companies
Before making a final decision, consider asking the following questions to potential installation companies:
1. How Long Have You Been in Business?
Experience matters when it comes to electrical installations. A company with a proven track record in EV charger installations is more likely to provide quality service. Inquire about their experience with similar projects in Birmingham and the types of installations they have completed.
2. Can You Provide References?
Request references from past clients who have had EV chargers installed. Speaking with these clients can provide firsthand insights into the company's professionalism, reliability, and quality of work.
3. What Is Your Installation Process?
Understanding the installation process will help you know what to expect. A reputable company should provide a clear outline of the steps involved, from the initial assessment to the final installation. This transparency will help you feel more comfortable with the process.
4. Do You Handle Permits and Inspections?
Some installations may require permits or inspections from local authorities. Inquire whether the installation company will handle the necessary paperwork and coordinate inspections on your behalf. This service can save you time and ensure compliance with local regulations.
5. What Is Your Aftercare Policy?
Inquire about the company's aftercare policy, including any maintenance services, support options, and troubleshooting assistance. A company that offers ongoing support can be invaluable, especially in the event of any issues with your charger post-installation.
Making Your Decision
After gathering information and evaluating potential installation companies, it’s time to make your decision. Consider all the factors discussed, including qualifications, costs, services, and customer feedback. Trust your instincts and choose a company that feels right for you.
Conclusion: Empowering Your EV Experience
Choosing the right EV charger installation company in Birmingham is a crucial step in your electric vehicle journey. By understanding your charging needs, conducting thorough research, and asking the right questions, you can ensure a smooth installation process and a reliable charging solution.
