At least now thanks to Tauriel, the poison was gone and he could move without the burning sensation coursing through his body, and as soon as he was able, he went to search for the elf.

         In spite of himself, Legolas feels laughter bubbling up from the well inside his chest. Tauriel’s words are playfully spoken, but he can’t quite meet her eyes, wrong-footed and subtly flustered in a way the Elf only ever seems to be when in her company. 

         “I thought it might make for a nice change of pace...” He says, in equal jest. Gradually, the Prince recovers himself, angling a sideway smile in Tauriel’s direction, “...you know, after so many spiders..”

          It  was  over  in  an  instant.  Thranduil's  sword,  which  often  appeared  as  a  mere  extension  of  himself,  was  swung  quickly,  taking  down  the  orc.  Thranduil  hadn't  seen  any  orcs  near  Mirkwood  since  the  Battle  of  the  Five,  but  Mirkwood  had  yet  to  fully  recover  from  the  curse.  Outside  of  his  home,  there  was  never  any  telling  what  one  might  run  into  and  she  of  all  people  should  have  known  better  than  to  follow  him  outside  of  it.

I never expected to like a fili x tauriel ship but I am in love with it!! They are so cute!

       ya know it’s so funny when i first started writing for fili back in 2013 i created this account with the full knowledge and idea i was NOT going to ship him with tauriel. i saw it as a kili thing and just really couldn’t see her with fili. even funnier i actually wasn’t going to ship him with, anyone. 

      then kelsey walked into my life and all that changed haha. i don’t think we intended for it to be the way it is but sometimes it’s just the right blend of crazy that works together so fricking well; you just meet the perfect writing partner and here we are almost 8 years later still riding our train. 

      we’ve put them through so many different situations and each one makes me happier than the next. i’m glad to hear someone likes it! expect alot from us because we have no self control xD

          Through Woodland realm the weary entourage treaded, for all through Rhovanion had the legs of her steed carried her. From Lothlorien to Mirkwood, then once again would she return to Imladris. Weary as she was, the captain leading her to Thranduil held GAZE captivated. The fiery hair was not a color commonly seen by her eyes, and it reminded her of autumn leaves outside the valley. So enthralled was she that mount was urged closer, winding between other horses with hushed a p o l o g y. 

                 “Captain, have you an idea of our remaining                          journey? The time grows LONG since last I                         have settled beneath a roof of no stars.” 

          The journey seemed to d r a g the longer she remained aware of the sun’s position in the sky. Little rest had she gotten in near a week -- yet no indication was given in her voice, for it held STEADY -- and gaze seemed to blur the harder she watched her surroundings. Save for that brilliant hair, as though a beacon of light in her hazy state.
