God, y’all ever just think about Janeway coming back from the dead in The Eternal Tide and how the Doctor and Eden send Chakotay into the room where she’s waiting for him and he just.. Has the most heart-breaking “THIS ISN’T REAL IT CAN’T BE REAL” reaction because I die a little bit everytime I think about it my heart can’t handle it!!!!!!

and then he realizes that Eden and the Doctor knew about this and wouldn’t have just sent him in there if they weren’t CONVINCED she was the real Kathryn Janeway so he doesn’t storm out but goes back and tries to wrap his head around this

AND IT’S SO HEARTBREAKING how the things that convince him that it really IS her are the way she squares her shoulders and wipes her tears away and forces herself to be strong, and then how she tells him that love is too much to risk for them. THOSE ARE THE THINGS SHE DOES THAT CONVINCE HIM THAT IT’S HER LIKE HOW MUCH PAIN DO YOU WANT TODAY

SO THEY’RE FINALLY REUNITED OKAY AND THEN??? like?? a day?? a few days?? later, Chakotay has to go and SACRIFICE HIMSELF TO SAVE THE MULTIVERSE

AND IT DOESN’T EVEN WORK

AND HE JUST DIES FOR NOTHING

AND KATHRYN HAS TO LIVE WITH THAT

Christmas is here. And, additionally, marks as Eternity's birthday.

Vertin herself was in the decorated suitcase, everyone chatting with each other. Medicine Pocket and Kaalaa Buanaa were not there, but Vertin guessed they took another room to discuss any and all important matters.

It was a grand orchestra that played for all, and Voyager was the conductor.

Vertin was content, to watch on in silence, watching how Voyager smiled peacefully as she directed the carols with extreme ease and slight of hand.

It was when "Shine, Jesus, Shine" ended (much to joy of a certain someone) that Voyager beckoned Vertin over with a 'come hither' gesture.

Vertin looked from side to side, but it was Eternity who laughed gently next to her.

"Go on, child; what is a conductor with their muse, hm?" she asked gently, a glass of milk in her hands as she looked up at Vertin.

The Timekeeper eventually nodded, and made her way over to the usually silent violinist, who then held out their hand towards the Brit.

Vertin looked what was in it. The baton.

"You want me to...?"

Voyager gave a smile, and nodded once more. "...Merry Christmas, Vertin."

Vertin's lips curled into a goofy smile before she had the chance to fix it. "Merry Christmas, too, Voyager."

Vertin raised the baton.

And soon, a familiar four-note motif started to play:
