All The Data:  Alyssa + John
Tumblr media
Note—Alyssa suffered an Instagram hack in October 2018.  She recovered her account, but lost all of her posts prior to the recovery.  As a result, some of the citations to IG in this Post are a bit wonky...  Luckily, Duggar Data had many of the Websters’ critical IG Posts screenshot, before the hack.  If you’re unable to find or access the original post shown in a screenshot, that’s why!
The Couple—
Alyssa Joy (Bates) Webster  (b. November 9, 1994)
Parents   Gil + Kelly Jo Bates
Child #   6 of 19
Hometown   Rocky Top, TN
Early Education   ATI/IBLP and Abeka Homeschooling  (Until 2012)
Higher Education   Coursework (2011–2012; Dual Enrollment) at The Crown College  (Powell, TN)
Occupation   Stay–at–Home Mother  (2015—Present), Co–Owner, Jonny On The Spot Cleaning Solutions  (Winter Park, FL; c. 2017—Present) (See Bringing Up Bates (6–23–16), “Sunshine State Bates”)
John Elliott Webster  (b. November 21, 1989)
Parents   Daniel + Sandra Webster
Child #   5 of 6
Hometown   Winter Garden, FL
Early Education   ATI / IBLP Homeschooling  (Note—As a member of the Florida Legislature, John’s father was apparently instrumental in legalizing homeschooling in Florida.)
Higher Education   [ None Apparent ]
Credentials   [ None Apparent ] (Note—As of November 2019, John isn’t listed as a licensed HVAC technician in Florida.)
Occupation   HVAC Technician, Webster Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc  (Orlando, FL; 2009—Present) (Note—His father owns the business.); Co–Owner, Jonny On The Spot Cleaning Solutions  (Part–Time) (Winter Park, FL; c. 2017—Present) (See Bringing Up Bates (6–23–16), “Sunshine State Bates”)
The Relationship—
First Meeting   c. 2012  (or December 2011)
Location   A “Mutual Friend’s Wedding”
Details  Alyssa met Jordan Webster in November 2011, during a mission trip to Romania.  Sometime later, Jordan introduced Alyssa to his brother, John, at a mutual friend’s wedding. The Bates and Webster Families then became friends, which led Alyssa to Florida to help out on Congressman Webster’s—i.e., John’s / Jordan’s father’s—campaign in 2012.  (See Also Bringing Up Bates (5–17–18), “The Bates Royal Wedding Celebration.”)
Pre–Courtship   c. November 2012  (by March 24, 2013)
Timing   Alyssa claims that she wasn’t allow to talk to John until her 18th Birthday (November 4, 2012).  (See Bringing Up Bates (1–4–18), “The 4 Cs...”)  Duggar Data assumes Alyssa wasn’t being 100% literal when she said that...  Likely, she means the direct communication—i.e., calling and texting—as part of an acknowledged, potential romantic relationship was off–limits until Age 18.  As a result, Duggar Data estimates that their pre–courtship started after Alyssa’s 18th Birthday, possibly later in November 2012.  They were pre–courting for sure by March 24, 2013.
Details   Upon meeting Alyssa, John was immediately interested in her; however, he didn’t tell her right away.  Over time, Alyssa + John became friends through various family events, including Congressman Webster’s 2012 campaign, which Alyssa helped with.  Before too long, John called Gil Bates and asked for permission to talk to Alyssa and get to know her better.  Things “started rollin’ from there.”
Tumblr media
Courtship   November 6, 2013  (Wednesday)
Location   Ijams Nature Center; Knoxville, TN
Details   John took Alyssa on a walk along the river boardwalk, where he surprised her with roses, a necklace, and the ‘courtposal.’  She said yes, and then they had lunch nearby at Rafferty’s Restaurant in Knoxville, TN.  (Note—That Rafferty’s has since closed down.)

List of Future H50 Fic
1) Graceless:
Danny loses visitation/rights until the reassessment of his job adjourns; after discovering Rachel is moving with Stan to Hawaii, he transfers to HPD. No one there knows about Grace (until he knows his fate, talking about her is too painful), not even after joining Five-0.
Until one day, he hears that precious voice say ‘Danno’ and he turns to the best sight in the world: his baby girl.
The bulk of the story will be of that scene, and the events that follow. It’ll have angst, drama, family moments - and pre-Mcdanno. Depending on how long it goes, they may even be starting a relationship. But they are definitely end game.
2) Any Man of Mine:
A combination of Steve things like the song, or the opposite to it. I still haven’t quite worked out all the details for that, but it’s what I’m aiming for. Will start off with a memory of Danny singing along to the song with Grace, and later will have her bringing up the similarities of their song and Steve to Danno, and bonding over that.
It’ll be pre-Mcdanno, but also that lovely trope where they’ve basically been dating for forever, but only one of them really notices it. Which will be Danny! Also, a 5+1 because I LOVE that!
3) Undercover WitSec:
This one is pure indulgence for me. I love the idea of Danny having been undercover when he worked back in Jersey, so in this he’ll have been undercover (thinking maybe with the mob?? Still deciding) and gotten close with a kid (placing this before!Grace, but still with Rachel) and when all is said and done, the kid (an OFC, because I can) is put in witness protection.
Shoot forward however many years, and he’s in Hawaii, and the only ones who know about this girl are Rachel (because she’s a big reason why he wanted a kid) and Grace (honorary big sister no one knows about; why she knows exactly I don’t know?? Haven’t figured that out yet) so when this girl shows up, calling Danny something no one understands in Italian cue the shocked reactions!
The reason she was in witsec is ‘dead’ so she’s back and it’s getting their lives resettled, have some nice pre-Mcdanno going on, then low and behold, the reason is not really dead and we have some action. Ends in established Mcdanno!
4) Serial Revenge:
Thought this one up at work yesterday and I am P U M P E D for it! Still figuring out a lot of the details, so this overview will be even shorter.
Danny is friends with this kid when he’s young, who seems so normal, but one day it’s discovered his parents are dead. Not only dead, but murdered. He has his suspicions about it, but nothing is ever tied together and so the kid (who something is obviously not right about - still figuring out that detail!) is sent to a mental hospital (foster care from there?? Don’t know yet!)
Flash forward and we’re in Hawaii, and there are killing happening that Five-0 dont’ know about until somehow, there’s a Danny connection and HPD calls them in.
Grace is sent away for safety, Danny is living with Steve for the same reason, bodies keep showing up, and it’s a race to figure out who it is, then to prove it AND stop him.
Killer winds up dead in the end, we get Mcdanno happening, and I am so very ready for this fic!
5) Dolled Up Steve:
Steve watching Grace at his house while Danny has to go do - something, and they play tea party and dolls and hey, dress up for the tea party! And when Danny comes back to find Grace doing Steve’s nails, look of intense concentration while she jabs away, and Steve is looking at her like she’s his whole world? So fond and full of love? That is Danny’s ‘oh shit I’m in love with this dumbass moment’.
I have a feeling this will jump from Danny POV, to Steve POV, back to Danny POV.
6) Sunshine & Whiskey:
Follows along with the lyrics that I chose a while back, and most likely will wind up a PWP. Maybe get some lime, maybe get some lemon. Just waiting on it to let me know what we’re doin’!
7) I've Got You Under My Skin:
The sap for this one! Established relationship, living together, and during a tender moment when they’re swaying in the living room/kitchen (haven’t decided;;) along to Frank Sinatra, someone proposes. <3 Then! Another chapter of them slow dancing to the same song at their wedding. <33
8) Pour Some Sugar:
So Danny in a private moment of Rachel’s bachelorette party did a strip routine for her and at a party Kono and Malia find out about it and it turns into him doing a very funny, extra snippet for Kono’s bachelorette party which he then gets to join. No one figures this out until Kono makes a comment about a tattoo that Danny has that’s not exactly public friendly, followed by Danny saying something about bachelorette parties getting crazy.
So Steve and Chin wind up finding out, which of course leads to Steve getting to see the routine in his own private moment, but made different so it’s just for him. And yes, there will be an explanation to why Danny knows how to do a strip routine, lol
9) Pictures Worth:
So Danny overhears Kono and Malia talking about tasteful pictures being done for a wedding gift and tells them “hey, that can be done” And he pulls them aside and shows them photos he took of a high school ex that she had done as a wedding gift for her wife, and “see, tasteful, just do it like that”
They discuss it and he helps them find someone on the island who will do it and be discreet/comfortable. What he doesn’t share is that before he took the ones of his ex, he did practice shots of himself so that he could be sure the gift turned out perfect. No one else knows this - not even Rachel.
I don’t know how Steve and Chin will find out (or why they have to, but I apparently like to involve the team in this set up *shrugs*) and Steve finds out about his private shoot and there’s Mcdanno goodness!
10) Too Close:
Old friends of Danny’s come to the island for a visit, and one night when they’ve had a bit to drink he admits that Too Close by Next makes him think of Steve, talking about the hot and bothered aspect of it - he’s quite smashed at this point. At a party for the old friends to meet the new, Kono and the girl friend (or the girl friend and the guy friend {they’re married!}) are talking about how clueless Steve and Danny are and how they need to get together already etc
Later they’ve had enough and the friend mentions the song mention so Kono sets it as Steve’s tone on Danny’s phone and ‘loses’ the phone so Steve has to call. The rest of the story is dealin’ with the aftermath of that and of course the Mcdanno!
11) It Wasn’t Me:
Danny and maybe Rachel having a normal day when all of a sudden their little angel goes through singing the chorus of the aforementioned song and just flipping their shit.
After finding out that they have Uncle Matty to thank because he thought Gracie was asleep but she wasn’t and having to explain that it wasn’t an appropriate song for her to be singing and something about “Cheating is wrong” so that when Grace finds out about Rachel and Stan and later Danny and Rachel (possibly) its just “so you two are hypocrites” or something.
Essentially I just want that initial freak out, and definitely will be finding some way to put Mcdanno in it!
12) DILF:
So Steve is Grace’s teacher and she overhears him saying that Danny is a DILF and later she asks her dad what that means and the choking on a drink and going bright red and trying to figure out what the heck to do with that, how to answer. The rest is yet to be determined, but of course it will be Mcdanno!
13) Love Bug:
YOU GUYS. I forgot about this one! This is what the title says: people of Hawaii are being bitten by a love bug, and the team is on the case to find out what the heck is going on! The effects can get more dangerous the longer there is no cure, so of course Steve is bitten. Not only that, but he just can’t seem to keep his hands or eyes off of Danny! There’s intrigue, case solving, and awkward I-couldn’t-keep-my-hands-off-you avoidance that all ends in lovely Mcdanno <3
14) Sleepy Prompt #20
“I think your hair is cute when you wake up, if only you could see it the way I did.”
15) Smut Prompt #57
“If we get caught I’m blaming you.”
16) Smut Prompt #59

39) A.D.I.D.A.S.
A 5+1 esque fic of smut scenes!
So there are the ideas so far! A few have been mentioned in previous posts, I just don’t know how to link them in this one. They will be coming out in no particular order, and it will take one time because I will wind up writing multiple ones at once. It’s just a matter of which one is speaking louder to me!
I hope someone else is excited for this with me, and please, feel free to talk to me about any of them! Honestly I am so pumped to write them all, I can’t wait to get them all started! :D

What was most popular the last time the Chiefs and 49ers won a Super Bowl
Tumblr media
The last two times these two won the Lombardi Trophy, things were pretty different.
It’s been quite a long time since the Kansas City Chiefs won a Super Bowl. In fact, it’s been a whole 50 years — the Chiefs won Super Bowl IV in the 1969 season. Kansas City had the fourth-longest active drought without a Super Bowl appearance until it earned a bid this season.
The San Francisco 49ers, on the other hand, have won a championship more recently. Their last Super Bowl win came in the 1994 season, when the Steve Young-led 49ers defeated the San Diego Chargers in Miami.
This year’s Super Bowl is also in Miami, but that’s about all that remains the same. A lot has changed in the world since the last time these two won championships.
Let’s take a look at what was happening in sports, TV, movies, pop culture, and technology the last time the Chiefs and 49ers won the Super Bowl.
1969 vs. 1994 in sports
1969
The New York Mets won the World Series, 4-1, over the Baltimore Orioles. Nicknamed the “Amazin Mets,” the victory was one of the biggest upsets in World Series history. The Mets it had a losing season each year before that.
The Boston Celtics were the NBA champions, as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in seven games. We saw the Celtics-Lakers rivalry heat up during this decade, and the two played in the finals six times — Boston won them all.
In college football, the Texas Longhorns won the national title, beating Notre Dame, 21-17, in the Cotton Bowl, and thus, Texas was truly back. What’s also interesting about this season is after the Longhorns defeated No. 2 Arkansas in December earlier that season, President Richard Nixon presented Texas with a plaque claiming the Longhorns to be the No. 1 team in the land.
1994
Major League Baseball strike: 1994 was a chaotic year for the MLB. Owners wanting to implement salary caps led to a players’ strike in August. It didn’t end for 232 days, the longest stoppage in MLB history, and there was no World Series. The strike cost management close to $1 billion, and players lost millions. It effectively ended Michael Jordan and Bo Jackson’s MLB careers, too.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers won the college football national championship by beating then-No. 1 Miami in the Orange Bowl. It marked head coach Tom Osborne’s first national title, though he’d go on to win two more in the 90s.
The Houston Rockets won their first-ever NBA championship, taking the seven-game series against the New York Knicks.
The O.J. Simpson chase: During Game 5 of Knicks-Rockets, NBC’s telecast was interrupted for the police chase of Simpson in his white Bronco:
youtube
Tonya Harding won the U.S. Figure Skating Championship. As you probably know, that was before she was later stripped of her title for her role in the attack on her competitor, Nancy Kerrigan, which happened that same year.
1969 vs. 1994 in music
1969
The Billboard No. 1 song in 1969 was “Sugar, Sugar,” by a cartoon band named The Archies, from the animated TV show The Archie Show. Yes, this is incredibly weird to me, too.
youtube
Other big hits during this year included “Honky Tonk Women” by the Rolling Stones, “Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In” by the 5th Dimension, and “I Can’t Get Next To You” by the Temptations.
The Woodstock music festival was held in August 1969. More than 400,000 people gathered on a farm in New York to see artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Grateful Dead, and Janis Joplin.

The festival is known as one of the biggest and most important music events in history, lasting four days (it was originally supposed to be only three) while heavy rains caused delays of several acts.
The Beatles recorded their final album together, Abbey Road, which included classics like “Here Comes the Sun” and “Come Together.” That year, the group gave its final live performance, which took place on the roof of Apple Records.
1994
The No. 1 Billboard single for 1994 was “The Sign” by Ace of Base, which was the title track of the Swedish group’s debut album. This one was an absolute banger:
youtube
Other hits like “Don’t Turn Around” and “All That She Wants” were on this album.
Some other popular songs from this year included Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do,” and Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You.” This year Mariah Carey released her Christmas album, which is the greatest holiday album in history. I’m not 100 percent sure about that fact, but I’m right, OK? Hootie and the Blowfish’s Cracked Rearview Mirror album was released, though it became more popular the following year in 1995.
This was a pretty big year for debuting artists. Some of the more notable ones, to name a few: Weezer, Outkast, Beck, Notorious B.I.G., and Oasis.
Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain sadly died in April 1994.
1969 vs. 1994 world events
1969
One of the biggest moments in both the U.S. and the world history was the Apollo 11 mission, which successfully put the first-ever man on the moon. The mission, led by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, launched on July 11, 1969, and landed on the moon on July 20.

On July 18, 1969, U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy drove his car off of a bridge in Chappaquiddick, which resulted in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, a former campaign worker of Robert Kennedy’s. Although the news made headlines in the beginning, it ultimately was largely overshadowed by the Apollo 11.
President Richard Nixon was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 1969, for his first term.
On Dec. 1, 1969, a draft lottery was reinstated, for the Vietnam War. It was the first since World War II.
1994
Bill Clinton was sued for sexual harassment by Paula Jones while serving his first term as the President of the United States. The accusations Jones brought forward were allegedly from when Clinton was the governor of Arkansas in 1991. Judges allowed Clinton to avoid trial for the lawsuit until after he left office. Jones later settled her lawsuit in November 1998 after Clinton won the 1996 election.
The Republicans took control of the House of Representatives after Newt Gingrich’s Contract with America. Before Republicans took control. Gingrich signed the contract which laid out legislation that would be passed within the first 100 days of Congress.
Nelson Mandela was elected as South African’s president, in the country’s first-ever democratic election. The elections marked the end of apartheid in South Africa, and Mandela later established a commission to investigate human rights and political violations that happened during apartheid. Beyond his time in office, which lasted until 1999, Mandela is considered to be one of the greatest champions of peace and social justice, both in South Africa and around the world.
1969 vs. 1994 television and movies
1969
The No. 1 grossing movie was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. It later won four Oscars, including for Best Original Screenplay.
The children’s television show Sesame Street debuted on PBS in 1969. Sesame Street is still airing new episodes on TV to this day!
Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In was the most-watched TV show, a sketch comedy show hosted by comedians Dan Rowan and Dick Martin. The show featured actresses like Lily Tomlin and Goldie Hawn as performers, too.
1994
Seinfeld was the most-watched television show, while Friends and ER premiered this year. Nearly 22 million people watched the Friends premiere, and ER had over 23 million viewers. All three shows were the anchors of NBC’s Must-See TV lineup.
Disney’s The Lion King was the top-grossing movie that year, and other greats like Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, and Pulp Fiction were released.
Frasier won its first Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. It went on to win 112 Emmys until it last aired in 2004.
1969 vs. 1994 celebrities
1969
Celebrities born this year included: Brett Favre, Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd (who’s a huge Chiefs fan), and Jennifer Lopez, who coincidentally is performing the halftime show at Super Bowl LIV.
Dwight D. Eisenhower and Judy Garland passed away. Eisenhower died of congestive heart failure. Garland was just 47 when she died of a barbiturates overdose.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney both got married this year, McCartney to Linda until her death in 1998, and Lennon to Yoko Ono until his assassination in 1980.
1994
Lisa Marie Presley married Michael Jackson. The marriage lasted two years before the couple filed for divorce.
Time to feel old! Celebrities born this year include Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Dakota Fanning, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid.

Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley divorced after 10 years of marriage. Brinkley was said to have partially inspired Joel’s hit “Uptown Girl.”
1969 vs. 1994 Technology
1969
The first-ever ATM was installed in the U.S.: On Sept. 2, 1969, the ATM became available to the public at Chemical Bank in Rockville Center, New York.
Tumblr media
This one could only give customers cash, though more ATM advancements came soon after.

There have been many changes in the 25 years since the 49ers last won a Super Bowl, and in the 25 years before that, when the Chiefs last earned the Lombardi Trophy. Fans of both teams are hoping they won’t have to wait as long to see them play in the Super Bowl again. But if they do, one thing’s for sure: the world will look a lot different.

Girlfriend ask tag
@icelandicandamess <-- My lovely girlfriend
1.   Describe how you met each other.
OK so she runs a Nightcrawler ask/role play blog and someone I was following was following her. And (oh my GOD!) she is such a good writer and a great artist and does such a good job portraying Nightcrawler. I was extremely intimidated by her. I kinda stalked her blog for about a week before actually following her. And then followed her for about three weeks or a month before talking to her.
2.   What did you first notice about each other?
She’s an amazing writer and I think that’s what intimidated me the most about her, because I’d always prided myself on being a good writer and she was so far out of my league talent-wise (and with everything else, let’s be real.) that I was extremely intimidated.
3.   Who first asked the other out?
She asked me, but we’ve been romantically interested in each other for a while. And I think she might have initiated that too? I don’t remember honestly
4.   Where was your first date?
(We haven’t had it yet but when we see each other I’m taking her out to an Italian restaurant and we’re going to hang out on the steps of a local monument by the river. I have it all planned out.)
5.   Who was first to verbally say “I love you”?
Me
6.   How did your first kiss happen? Who initiated it?
It hasn’t happened yet…
7.   When is your anniversary?
September 3rd
8.   How long have you been together?
We’ve been friends for over a year, been interested for seven months and she only asked me out for real this month.
9.   What made you realize you were in love with her?
I loved Anna before I was in love with her. She was my friend first, so affection was already established there. But I think… My day didn’t feel right without talking to her. That was when I realized I’d fallen for her.
10.                 Were you friends before you became lovers?
Yes. And she’s still my best friend.
11.                 Were either of you out before getting with your girlfriend?
I was. Kinda. My parents and I kind of had a rough relationship about that kind of thing. I wasn’t about to pretend to be something I wasn’t- that’s just not in my nature. I also wasn’t in a dangerous home situation, it was just uncomfortable with me being queer. Anna’s still not really out yet. She’s talked to her parents about it in theory, but there hasn’t been a bit thing about it yet.
12.                 Have either of you dated a girl before getting with your girlfriend or is she your first?
I had three girlfriends before dating Anna. I’m Anna’s first.
13.                 How does your girlfriend define her sexuality?
She’s asexual and biromantic (I believe…)
14.                 When is your girlfriend’s birthday? Who is older?
Anna’s older than me. Her birthday is January 13th, mine is in August.
15.                 Do you live together?
We will one day
16.                 Have you met your girlfriend’s parents? If so, what was that like?
I haven’t but from what I’ve heard they’re great! (I’ve talked to her mom on snapchat once and she seemed really friendly)
17.                 How many people are in your girlfriend’s family?
She has two sisters and a brother and they live with their parents.
18.                 Whose family do you hang out with more?
We live in different countries for right now.
19.                 What nationality is your girlfriend?
She’s Icelandic!
20 What is a typical date night like for you and your girlfriend?
Watching Young Justice or a movie on Rabb.it
20.                 How do you usually spend your time together?
Aforementioned date night, writing together, sending each other memes.
21.                 Have you ever been mistaken for sisters?
I have her as my background on my laptop and one person thought her picture was an old one of my mom… I don’t even know.
22.                 Have you ever experienced any discrimination or prejudice because you are a same sex couple?
No, not together anyway. But I went to a conservative Catholic school, so…
23.                 Does anyone you know disapprove of your relationship?
I, um… haven’t told my parents we’re dating. They had a hard time grasping the concept of me having a friend in Iceland. And I think telling them will be easier because I’m in college now.
25, How much PDA do you do?
We’re both snuggling FIENDS but being over 3000 miles away kind of impedes that.
26. Have you ever been on your periods together?
Yes, yes we have. But not while we were dating. It was actually like a month into knowing each other.

31. Does your girlfriend have any pets?
No, I’m the one with the cute pet
32. Have you ever worn your girlfriend’s clothes?
I cant wait to see her in my leather jacket cuz it’s roomy on me and she’s going to swim in it
33. Who is more likely to cook a meal?
Me, probably? I’m always snapchatting her “HEY BABE LOOK WHAT I MADE”
34. What is your girlfriend’s favorite food? Least favorite food?
I recently found out she likes tomatoes. (And I had to ask her what her least favorite food is, it’s Icelandic bratwurst called bjùga)

87. What is one thing your girlfriend does that you don’t like?
I don’t like that she puts herself down a lot
88. Is there anything about your girlfriend you think most people don’t know?
She’s extremely sensitive. And I don’t mean overly emotional. I mean she picks up on how I feel without even needing to see my face and she knows exactly what I need to hear to be helped when I’m upset.
89. Choose one word to describe your girlfriend. Why that word?
Stable- I can be pretty wild and she’s my rock. If I’m upset, she calms me down in a way no one else can.
90. Pass on one piece of relationship advice.
Communication is key. Never leave anything unsaid. If they upset you, tell them. If you know that the other person is upset, reach out. Keeping your mouth shut so you don’t stir the pot can actually do you more harm than bringing attention to something you’re upset about.

8. Watch a comforting/silly/funny/lighthearted TV show or movie. (“Parks and Recreation,” anyone?)

75. Allow and feel and express your feelings – all of them! – safely and appropriately. Seek out help if you need support in this.
76. Listen to sad songs or watch sad movies if you need a good cry. (“Steel Magnolias“, anyone?)
77. Dance around wildly to your favorite, most cheesy songs from your high school years.
78. Put your hands in dirt. If you have a garden, go garden. If you have some indoor plants, tend to them. If you don’t have plants or a garden, go outside. Go to a local nursery and touch and smell all the gorgeous plants.
79. If you want to stay in bed all day watching Netflix, do it. Indulge.
80. Watch or listen to some comedy shows or goofy podcasts.
81. Look for and Google up examples of people who have gone through and made it through what you’re currently facing. Seek out models of inspiration.
82. Get expert help with whatever you need. Whether that’s through therapy, psychiatry, a lawyer, clergy, let those trained to support you do it.
83. Educate yourself about what you’re going through. Learn about what you’re facing, what you can expect to feel, and how you can support yourself in this place.
84. Establish a routine and stick to it. Routines can bring so much comfort and grounding in times of life that feel chaotic or out of control.
85. Do some hardcore nesting and make your home or bedroom as  cozy and beautiful and comforting as possible.
86. Get up early and watch a sunrise.
87. Go outside and set up a chair and watch the sunset.

89. Develop a supportive morning ritual for yourself.
90. Develop a relaxing evening ritual for yourself.
91. Join a support group for people who are going through what you’re going through. Check out the listings at local hospitals, libraries, churches, and universities to see what’s out there.
92. Volunteer at a local shelter or hospital or nursing home. Practice being of service to others who may also be going through a tough time.
93. Accompany a friend or family member to something. Even if it’s just keeping them company while they run errands, sometimes this kind of contact can feel like good self-care.
94. Take your dog for a walk. Or borrow a friend’s dog and take them for a walk.
95. Challenge your negative thinking.
96. Practice grounding, relaxation techniques.
97. Do something spontaneous. Walk or drive a different way to work. Order something new off the menu.Listen to a Spotify playlist of new songs.
98. Work with your doctor, naturopath or nutritionist to develop a physical exercise plan and food plan that will be supportive to whatever you’re facing right now.
99. Pray. Meditate. Write a letter to God/The Universe/Source/Your Higher Self, whatever you believe in.
100. As much as you can, please try and trust the process.
101. Finally, please remember, what you’re going through right now is temporary. It may not feel like that from inside the tough time you’re in, but this too shall pass and you will feel different again someday. If you can’t have faith in that, let me hold the hope for you.

Note
can I ask for all of the oc questions for both of my sons
absolutely you can;
1. what do they look like?
Derick’s about 5’9, with slightlytanned skin, golden blond curly hair, and blue eyes
Roswell is a tall, lanky, 17-yearold with ridiculous dark hair and big round grey eyes
2. describe their personality inthree words:
Derick: Nervous, shameful, and sweet
Roswell: Excited, enthusiastic,empathetic
3. how tall are they?
Derick’s 5’9, and Roswell’s about 5’11
4. favorite foods?
Derick loves anything sweet – cookies, brownies, cake, coffee with more sugar than actual coffee
Roswell will eat anything andeverything, he’s a growing kid
5. any allergies?
Not that I know of
6. what is their build?
When the gang first meets Derick,he’s real real skinny because he can’t afford to eat a lot. After they get himsome real food, he still somewhat skinny, but a little more filled out?
Roswell’s just lanky like a noodle
7. do they have curly, wavy, orstraight hair?
Derick’s got super curly hair thatsticks up everywhere and gets in his eyes
Roswell has straight hair that lookslike he stuck a fork in a socket
8. do they like books? if so, howoften do they read?
Derick doesn’t read a lot – not alot of good reading material in Cirsca, it’s mostly just manuals and journals.Roswell’s kind of the same way, he doesn’t mind them but reading’s not his ideaof fun.
9. what are their talents?
Derick’s not half bad at drawing, though he usually only draws Ragsy.
Roswell: Talking absolutely non-stop
10. two or more other fictionalcharacters they’re similar to?
Shoshanna from Inglorious Basterdswas the inspiration for Derick, though I guess the two aren’t wildly similar interms of personality. Maybe Cress from Lunar Chronicles? Or Noah from RavenCycle? I’m actually not sure…
For Roswell, definitely Dick Graysonfrom the Lego Batman Movie
11. what is one strange hobby/talentthey have?
Derick’s freaky good atcommunicating with animals. Like, “Disney Princess” good.
I actually don’t know one forRoswell…and here I thought I knew my ocs….
12. five songs that fit them:
For Derick, here’s three:
“The Letter That Never Came” –Thomas Newman (yeah its instrumental, but its just so sad at the beginning thatI think of Derick every time)
“Beauty and the Beast” – BATB OTS(the original with angela Lansbury – technically derick/Rosalyn but still)
“I Went TooFar” – Aurora
I swear I have more, I just can’tthink of them atm
And Shut Up and Dance definitelyreminds me of Roswell

Evan Peters, who is also myface-claim for Derick.

15. which OC did not sign up forthis?
Derick, for sure
16. who’s their favorite person?
It takes him a while to warm up toher, but overall I think Rosalyn is his favorite person. He also really enjoyshanging out with Carson and Lorelei, because they’re like the siblings he neverhad.
Funny enough, Rosalyn is alsoRoswell’s favorite person, right next to Dr. Anaya Gatling! Gatling’s like amentor to him, so he loves her so much too.
17. who do you ship them with?
ROSALYN with Derick, and Roswell’sperfectly fine on his own
18. have they experienced the deathof a loved one?
Derick hasn’t, Roswell has (he and Rosalynused to have an older brother)

For Derick, doesmental/emotional/physical abuse count? For Roswell, no, not yet (?)
20. what’s the worst thing you’vedone to them without spoiling anything?
Gave Derick to parents who mentallyand emotionally abused him then abandoned him, so now he genuinely doesn’trecognize real love when he’s shown it.
For Roswell, killing his big brotherreally sucks so…
21. any mental illnesses?
Derick probably does, but he hasn’tbeen diagnosed. Roswell’s mental health is great, so no.
22. what’s their favorite animal?
Derick’s is cats, Roswell’s is dogs.
23. what are their flaws?
Derick’s kind of a coward, veryabsorbed in his own mind, overthinks everything.
Roswell can be too trusting and tooeager to see the best in everyone. Also could accidentally share secret infowhile rambling.

Derick likes green, and Roswelllikes purple and yellow and blue and red and….
25. pet peeves?
Derick dislikes people who just gogo go!Roswell dislikes grumpy, pessimistic people.
26. bad habits?
Derick’s always chewing on his nailswhen he’s nervous. Roswell’s is obviously his oversharing.
27. an OC they hate:
Derick hates Rosalyn when he firstmeets her, Carson kinda too.
Roswell really only hates Chief Knoxfor killing his brother.
28. random fact about them:
Afternoons at Marni’s shop are someof the only happy childhood memories Derick has.
It’s safe to assume that, at anygiven moment, Roswell’s wearing at least one brightly colored bandage for anynumber of minor injuries
29. family members?
Derick just had a mother and afather, nobody else.
Roswell only has Rosalyn now, but heconsiders the rest of the unground dwellers his family.
30. Hogwarts house?
Hufflepuff and Gryffindor (?)
31. what makes them happy?
Derick: Ragsy, coolmornings/evenings in the Burjeok forest, watching the stars and moon at night
Roswell: Lots of things! Warmsunshine, new flowers in spring, talking to anybody, going to town, pettinganimals, etc.
32. middle and last names (ifthey’re established)?
No middle names, Denmeyer is Derick’slast name and Tate is Roswell’s.

Does Derick’s nail-chewing count?
36. any unhealthy obsessions?
Why did mom and dad leave, why wasn’t I enough?
For Roswell, nothing really. He’spretty healthy overall
37. looks like they could kill butis actually a cinnamon roll, looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually killyou, looks like a cinnamon roll and is actually a cinnamon roll, looks likethey could kill you and could actually kill you, or sinnamon roll
Both are totally pure cinnamon rolls
38. how smart are they?
Derick’s actually fairly smart. He’sgot a lot of practical knowledge from several years on his own.
Roswell’s fairly smart. He’s still ateen, so he’s got a lot to learn, but he’s intelligent!
39. master planner or masterimproviser?
Improviser, and about half-and-half
40. species/race?
Both human, both white

Both are right-handed
45. do you have headcanons for them?
Plenty

Derick’s not terrible, but he wouldnever draw that much attention to himself. Roswell probably shouldn’t
47. what horror-movie characterstereotype are they?
Derick would be the one that refusesto investigate the creepy noises, gets left in the living room by himself, probably winds up dying then.
Roswell is one of the first to die,he was probably the one that went to check out the creepy noises
48. how well can they worktechnology?
Derick’s better than most of thegang, since he worked in the capital city. Roswell doesn’t have a lot ofexperience with technology, so he probably wouldn’t be very good
49. which Marvel or DCsuperhero/villain would they be?
Both would actually fit CharlesXavier pretty well. Just with his whole “I don’t want to fight, I just want tobe accepted” thing?
50. how well do they develop overthe course of the story?
I want to say pretty well? I’mhoping to have Derick go from “coward who would rather stay home thanpotentially help others and stand up for his beliefs” to “scared guy who bravely facesdanger anyways for the sake of his friends and what’s right”
Roswell gets his own development, but you know, spoilers.
51. are they more humble or moreegotistical?
Humble, definitely
52. who would they be in a Disneymovie?
Derick would be snow White, justhappily traipsing through the woods with a flock of animals

Just english

Derick’s a night owl, and Roswell isboth since he never sleeps

Time for another batch-answer!! Sorry if this is impersonal but I didn’t want to spam people’s dashes!!
1. Yes I like to try and avoid white backgrounds when I can! Even if it’s just a simple block of colour.
2. This is a FAQ - I use Fire Alpaca, which is amazing and free for the PC and Mac. I’m not sure if it works on a Chromebook but I assume it does? You could also try Medibang Paint which is very similar and also free!
3. Congrats!!
4. My animation professors have told me that if you’re doing it properly you actually should lose track of time - something about using the right brain. References are ESSENTIAL to creating accurate art, so yes, they are extremely helpful and I’m glad you’re using them!!!  DAPGO is a treasure trove :D
5. Yes I think you should post your art!! People will give both negative AND positive feedback - I believe you have to receive constructive criticism to grow as an artist. That’s literally all that working in a studio or for clients is - creating your stuff and then getting revisions (but it has to be constructive, not just empty feedback like “that sucks” or “that’s great”). Please read these posts on self-esteem!
6. Haha I love that phanime, and I’m so grateful @arctoids let me collaborate with her for the third episode!!
7. Hello! Thanks :D There are some ideas on this art challenge list I made here: http://incaseyouart.tumblr.com/post/155100106331/31-art-challenges
8. See answer 5! And don’t focus on notes/likes/social currency so much as creating stuff for YOU and your friends - if you genuinely are happy about the stuff you share, then people will enjoy it more, seeing you’re happy.
9. Thank you!! I have had a lot of practice drawing Phil hahah~
10. My favourite thing about being an artist is creating my own content - like, not original characters because mostly I draw fanart - but seeing inspirational things (like Dan and Phil), having a vision in my head, and being able to translate that vision into something visual.
11. HAHA DID YOU JUST ASK ME FOR EDITING TIPS?! Basically just practice with timing I guess? I’ve been editing videos for like, 10 years now, with various software (Adobe Premier, iSkysoft, Windows Movie Maker, and recently iMovie which is the best ever omg) and each time I learn more about how to cut clips and time them to music, how to add in sound effects, change opacity of the clips etc.. I’ve kind of just been learning it all on my own slowly - I’m sure there are tutorials on Youtube!!
12. It’s okay to take a break! Here’s my advice about getting over art block.
13. http://incaseyouart.tumblr.com/tagged/watercolour%20tips I’ll try to make a video soon!
14. I’m glad you’re feeling better and that I could contribute to that :D Thank you! Have a good one ^_^
15. Try some of my art challenges!!
16. Can you go out to a cafe or maybe a library or some other public venue with table space?
17. Wacom Intuos Draw (Small) is what I use (see my tags about drawing tablets here)
18. Being able to critique your own work is an essentially critical skill to growing as an artist. But you have to balance self-critique with positive feedback - try to find two things good and one thing you need to work on. For example maybe the head and eyes are really well drawn, but you can work on the hands? Seeing your mistakes and then knowing how to correct them is a REALLY really good skill, NOT a bad habit. For tutorials on shading, Google has some good ones - the most important thing is figuring out your light source(s), and knowing the physics (plane changes) of whatever you’re drawing.
19. Yup pretty sure! If you scroll through all my palette challenges here you’ll see them~
20. Just drag & drop the image file directly into the software and it becomes a layer, and then lower its opacity - BUT I WOULD HIGHLY DISCOURAGE TRACING DIRECTLY FROM IMAGE. INSTEAD YOU SHOULD REALLY TRY TO REFER TO/COPY FROM AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN.
21. I would just use a mouse, personally!
22. So, with realism, it’s more difficult because there’s the expectation that all the details and proportions have to be EXACTLY accurate - as realistic as possible - and that takes a more time and patience than a caricature of a human figure/face. But, to accurate caricature something you need to be able to draw it realistically first. So in my opinion cartoon-style is both easier (you can communicate the same body language/emotions with less lines/detail) but also harder because you need to have everything be SIMPLE but also ACCURATE.
23. I often think a sketch looks better than the lineart because with a sketch you are more free as you draw - it is messy but also all the lines flow well and it just looks more organic. When you focus on making the lines perfect or cleaner you lose some of that organic flow. My suggestion would be to do an extra step in between the sketch and finished lineart - so draw your image 3 times - sketch, rough lineart, clean lineart. It might help transition your cleaned version a bit better!
24. Break down the figures into LINES OF ACTION and basic shapes before adding ANY detail at all. Check out my life drawing gestures here!
25. Aaaah sorry I hope I answered in time - regardless of medium you have to break down the face into basic shapes and guidelines before adding any details. Charcoal can blend really well to shade easily!
26. When I have time, yes!
27. Just a simple “hello” would do, I think! That way the person on the other end can greet you back, and then you’ve established a connection without the pressure of thinking of any topics of conversation - you could put the ball in their court, so to speak. Also you could just like and reblog a bunch of content you like, and leave nice comments!
28. Haha I don’t know if any of it is natural talent - it took me 14.5 years of almost constant practicing to get to where I am now!
29. Yay, more fanart!! ALL THE ART!
30. Oh my God thank you that’s so sweet (this makes me think of what people say about Phil Lester because he’s such a ray of sunshine <3)
31. It’s okay to take breaks! Step away from drawing for a while and just write a story, or read, or play outside, or do a sport, or anything else you like! Don’t force yourself to draw!
32. Watch my video on self-esteem for artists and hopefully it’ll motivate you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5AjCbYrPlk&t=95s You’ll only get better at a skill if you practice it :D
33. I would just get the better drawing tablet first if you can afford it - unless the cheaper one is a good brand like Huion or Wacom!
34. You are improving if you use references, trust me. An easy way to see improvement is looking back at your old art, and maybe redrawing it?
35. Yay! Yeah tools can be common amongst artists - it’s just the level of practice and time put in :D
36. It can take a while to gain a strong following, but keep doing what you’re doing and people will come!!! Keep creating and sharing with the world :D
Thanks for all the asks guys~

OC meme answers
Filling out the previous post.
1. Your first OC ever? The earliest character I remember making was an armored flamethrowing bad guy named Cinder. I made him to be an antagonist for my brother's OC. Cinder is an industrial saboteur in his current incarnation. 2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs? I am probably most fond of Nick Chapel, Psychic Detective. 3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else? Several. A good handful of my characters were PCs in tabletop games I ran. 4. A character you rarely talk about? The less developed they are, the less I talk about them. 5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be? I have several favorites but I think the world would get the most milage out of Man Man. He always manages to be in the wrong despite his best intentions. 6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related? There are trends. Open shirts. Facial hair. Tattoos. Sunglasses. No capes. 7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories? I'm building fuel for several stand alone books set in a common universe. 8. Do you RP as any of your OCs? If you do, introduce one of your RP OCs here! Nick Chapel and Swingin' Johnny Go both began as Old World of Darkness characters. Nick was my Gangrel and Johnny was an Ecstatic mage. 9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else? I would give back what I have borrowed. I might lend an OC if said OC was already well established and characterized. 10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design? What, visually? Probably Upside Downe is the most complicated because he's more of a celebrity (of the modern fashion) than a superhero. As such his look varies from day to day but is always flamboyant. In his early conception I took some inspiration from Dennis Rodman. Nowadays he's closer to Red Foo. 11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”? Maybe el Constrictador. 12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot I tend to be drawn to any character who is a fanatic or a literal angel, preferably both at the same time. 13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs? Lady Angst is true to her name. 14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory I try to stay away from that trope since it's done into the ground in the superhero genre (see women in refrigerators.) That said, I suppose Maxine Force has seen some tragedy of late; her husband died suddenly and painfully, Maxine tried to transfer his consciousness into an AI, and then said AI was overwritten and appropriated by enemy agents, resulting in a twisted android mockery of a good man. 15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people? AD INFINITUM 16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)? Definitely Professor Pinnacle though Man Man is a close second. 17. Any OC OTPs? Lady Angst/Swingin' Johny Go, as well as Zapatta the Mystic/Maid Malice 18. Any OC crackships? Idano, I guess Nick and Melanie Plutarch. That's going nowhere. 19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why) I'm still working on this character but Quanta is based on a teacher I respect. 20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)? The Fat Lady is a coloratura and an amazing improvisational singer, though she tends to shatter all glass in the vicinity. Johnny is the front man of a swing band and can also use his sonic powers to manifest music but he says it's just not the same as a live performance. 21. Your most artistic OC Again, Johnny. In addition to singing and playing, he crafts string instruments semi-professionally. 22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how? I have to be very deliberate in my depiction of Solomon King. He's a guy wearing a flag so I have to be clear with his characterization and his ideals, or else people would just project their personal politics on him. 23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like? Thorn was originally just some generic beefy white dude in his 20s with plant powers. The current Doctor Thorn is 50 or older, a genius botonist, black, an amputee, and very cynical owing to the public's past reception of his race. Hell, public's not crazy about him right now. 24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why? I would meet the Stregga Sisters so I could ask what their deal is. I need to develop them. 25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?) As a younger man, that would most closely be Johnny but now I'm turning 39 and I identify more with Nick. We both prefer classic movies. 26. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will? I was confronted with how 7 out of 7 of my most significant American figures were all male so I gender-swapped Maxwell Force into Maxine. S/he's more interesting now. I have plenty of female characters (close to half) and a loooot of female second bananas but the lack of female leadership is still something I'm struggling with. 27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song? Actually, the first plot scenario and its main perpetrators came to me in a dream, complete with a rap song. So in particular Edifice Wrex is the rapper of my dreams. 28. Your most dangerous OC? DEFINITELY the Chokester. Imagine the Joker crossed with Venom and classically trained in traditional European buffoonery. 29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going? Several, really. Nick, Zapatta... Lady Angst would live cast it. 30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection? La Nina maybe. Of course life on the road would mean nowhere to keep it... 31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really) Let me point out that I myself have been involved with goth culture since about 1995. That said, Lady Angst is heavily involved with social media and reblogs all the most ridiculously stereotypical goth stuff with plenty of vaguebooking thrown in as she bemoans her personal situation and throws shade at people in the community. She has the worst kept secret identity in the whole long underwear game. 32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why? Spiderbite Emma is a pragmatic survivor. Plus she can turn people into wolves so she's got that going for her. 33. Your shyest OC? I've gathered many brazen personalities, them being superheroes and all. That said, probably Catfight. Her anthro-feline body is a constant target for unwanted attention. 34. Do you have any twin characters? Not at this time. 35. Any sibling characters? Reveal: Angst and Emma are sisters! Don't tell no one. Be cool. I'm still cooking the Force family but there's the young adult Gail Force and the tween Maxwell (found a new use for that name.) 36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)? Nope. 37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human Like all of them. I just got finished fleshing out a OC who's a sasquatch, Professor "Squatcho" Henderson. 38. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer? For all her flaws, sucking at dancing is not among Lady Angst's failings. Zapatta is two thousand years old and lascivious so he can probably cut a rug. For that matter and for similar reasons Santacles would know every winter folk dance there is. 39. Introduce any character you want I have a fondness for the Keeper, a combo speedster/tank. She’s Britain’s most popular hero, goalkeeper themed, and seven and a half feet tall. She was born out of some RPG build experiments, the idea being that her low end cosmic awareness tells her what’s happening, her speed helps her intervene, and then her thick skin absorbs the hit. 40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share In my early 20s I used to hang out at night with friends of mine in the local all night diner, drinking unlimited coffee, playing games, eating the breakfast buffet, etc. We were all either just out of college or just out of high school and we were all commiserating our bleak futures. I would sketch and color a character pic every night. Most of those characters are scrapped now but a few (like Sonofagun) have made the cut. The pictures got moldy in storage, sad to say. 41. Has anyone drawn fanart of your OCs? If yes, maybe show a picture or two here (remember sources & permissions!) See above. 42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods? Many of them ARE Greek gods. My Mary Sue, Mail-man would be most genuinely interested. 43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess See above, #6. 44. Something you like about your OCs in general They are diverse and few have anything stereotypical about them. They are all their own people. 45. A character you no longer use? NEVER ASK ME ABOUT STEVE 46. Has anyone ever told you that you treat your OCs badly? Nah. I'm so wary of fridging characters that I don't heap much abuse on them. Plus, there's a revolving door on death. 47. Has anyone ever (friendly) claimed any of your OCs as their child? As I've said, some are on permanent loan from their player parents. 48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure Nah. Maybe Catfight. She's trying to get into Man Man's crew and it's going to be disastrous. 49. Which one of your OCs would most likely enjoy memes Probably Magnum Opus. 50. Give me the good ol’ OC talk here. Talk about anything you want Top Rocker of Earth has a passing similarity to Lobo in that both are cosmic bikers and general nasty asskickers but in truth Top draws most from Terrax the Tamer. If you want, you can tag your ask answers with #yetanotherOCmeme so I can check them out too `v´9

Variability of Crude Palm Oil Acidity Among Individual Oil Palm (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Progenies of La Dibamba Germplasm
Authored by Likeng Li Ngue Benoit Constant
Tumblr media
Crude palm oil (CPO) from the mesocarp of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) fruit is the most produced vegetable oil in the world. In 2015, CPO consumption was estimated at 35% [1]. In Cameroon, 70% of CPO is produced by agro-industries while 30% is produced by the informal sector (smallholders). Oil from informal sector represents almost 90% of the locally consumed vegetable oil in Cameroon [2]. CPO is mainly composed of triglycerides or triacylglycerols which represent 95% of all constituents and minor compounds such as diacylglycerol, mono glycerol and free fatty acids (about 5% FFA) issued from the biosynthesis and / or hydrolysis of triacylglycerols. Sterol, tocopherol, pigments and metal ions are also present in CPO [3,4]. The fatty acids present in CPO vary with number of carbon atoms ranging from 14 to 20. They include saturated fatty acids such as myristic acid (C14:0), palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), and arachidic acid (C20:0). Monounsaturated fatty acids included are palmitoleic acid (C16:1), oleic acid (C18:1) and polyunsaturated fatty acids include linoleic acid (C18:2) and linolenic acid (C18:3). In terms of proportions, palmitic acid is the major saturated fatty acid while the main unsaturated fatty acid is oleic acid. Ranges of fatty acids contained in CPO are as follows: myristic acid (0.9 – 2%), palmitic acid (39.2 - 45.8%), palmitoleic acid (0 - 0.4%), stearic acid (3.7 – 6%), oleic acid (37.4 - 44.1%), linoleic acid (8.7 - 12.5%), linolenic acid (0 - 0.6%) and arachidic acid (0- 0.4%) [3-5].
CPO quality is mainly evaluated on the basis of impurities and its acidity which is an indicator of free fatty acids (FFA) content [6,7]. The presence of FFA in palm oil indicates the level of oil degradation during extraction and storage. If the FFA content is high, this indicates that the fruits were damaged between harvest and extraction or harvested fruits were over-ripe [7]. Therefore, high values of acidity due to lipase activity is an indication of oil quality impairment. Without refining, such oil may be unsuitable for human consumption even though refining leads to the loss of palm oil nutritional value.
Oxidation caused by light and temperature Mulindi et al. [8] is a factor that influences the organoleptic value of CPO by increasing its free fatty acids content. The presence of FFA in palm oil is favored by lipase activity [9,10,7,11]. and high-water content (when greater than 0.1%). Smallholders usually do not consider these issues in their oil production process. It is not obvious for consumers to assess CPO quality on the market, and this is a cause for concern in terms of food security. In Cameroon for instance, analysis of CPO samples from nonindustrial oil mills Ngando et al. [12] revealed that lipid peroxidation and oil acidity increased significantly during the first four weeks of storage, making the samples unfit for consumption. In another study Ngando et al. [13] analyzed oil samples from 10 major markets in Douala and found that oil acidity values of more than 50% of the samples were above the 5% maximum limit recommended for dietary CPO. Goudoum et al. [14] also found a wide variation of FFA in CPO between 6.49% and 9.44% before storage, which increased significantly, reaching up to 16.50% FFA at 30°C during the first three months of storage. Gulla and Waghray [15] showed that the storage time influences oil composition in terms of FFA content. Ohimain et al. [16] on their part showed that palm oil acidity also varied from 0.97 to 8.43%. Noviar et al. [17] reported that the factors raising the FFA levels above the quality standards are machine, man, management, materials and methods. According to several studies, microorganisms also contribute to lipase activity [6,10,11,18-20].
It has also been demonstrated that the genotype of oil palm also determines the quality of CPO it produces [21-23]. However, to the best of our knowledge, the variability of oil acidity has not been clearly established among oil palm genitors and progenies used for improved seed production. The objective of this study was to determine the variability of CPO acidity among individual palm trees from various progenies of La Dibamba elite germplasm in view of eventually including them in the seed production program for oil quality improvement.
Materials and Method
Study site
This study was realized at La Dibamba specialized centre for oil palm research (CEREPAH) of the Institute of Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD). La Dibamba is located in the humid tropical zone with monomodal rainfall regime, in the Littoral Region of Cameroon. The Centre is found in the Mbongo-Ndonga zone at 3 °54’62’’ latitude North and 9 °51’77’’ latitude East, at 55m asl. There are two distinct seasons at La Dibamba. The dry season runs from mid-October to mid-March while the rainy season goes from mid-March to mid-October. Rainfall is about 2500mm/year and sunshine is 1400h/year with an average annual temperature of 27.50 °C/year.
Plant materials
Some 204 individual commercial seed production oil palm trees were sampled from 11 progenies, resulting from 15 parents (LM 1607P, LM 2052T, LM 2515D, LM 2749D, LM 2750D, LM 300D, LM 3034D, LM 3038D, LM 3043D, LM 3050D, LM 5100D, LM 5155D, LM 5216D, PO 2768P, PO 3281T) of some palms planted in CEREPAH of La Dibamba between 1993 and 1997. The progenies sampled are presented in Table 1.
Discussion
The study of palm oil acidity of CPO from individual palms shows a great variability between the progenies on the one hand and within each progeny on the other hand. From a total of 11 progenies, six were homogeneous with high oil acidity while the five others were heterogeneous. No progeny studied showed 100% low acidity. This result is different from that of Likeng et al. [23] who obtained only 4 out of 11 progenies with 100% high acidity. This could be due to the fact that since palm acidity (PA) gene is possibly dominant, whatever the crossing, one obtains either a high-acid homogeneity or a heterogeneous progeny. The LM 18688 and LM 19121 progenies derived from self-fertilization are heterogeneous for this trait. This suggests that the LM 2515D and LM 3005D self-fertilized parents are possibly heterozygous at the locus under consideration.
In the PO 3281 T progeny with high acidity, the self-fertilized parent is probably homozygous at the locus concerned. The nature of this parent clearly justifies the homogeneity observed in the PO 5669 progeny resulting from the cross between PO 3281T and PO 2786P. The work of Likeng et al. [23] suggested that the gene responsible for the acidity of palm oil is monogenic with strong dominant acidity, and that a progeny is homogeneous with high acidity if and only if at least one of the crossed parents produces oil with high acidity.
Unlike the work of Ngando et al. [22], which generally presented the acidity of oil palm progenies, this study clearly shows individual variability in the acidity of palm oil from progenies derived from several combinations. This result corroborates that of Guedes [27], who showed the variability of fruit acidity of 25 plants of Jabuticaba progeny grown in a tropical climate. León et al. [26] on the one hand and Perez Vich et al. [28] on the other hand, working respectively on the variability of free fatty acids of olive oil of certain progenies derived from several genetic combinations and the heritability of elevated palmitic acid content in the CAS-12 mutant in the same species, showed the influence of crossing on free fatty acid composition.
The three classes of acidity obtained showed a great variability. The class of genitors with high acidity constituted 77%. This result is contrary to that of Perèz Vich et al. [28] who separated olive seeds into three classes based on their oil acidity values as 19, 38 and 7 respectively for high, intermediate, and low acidity. This is partly due to the fact that the gene responsible is dominant [23]. The other reason could be the impossibility of separating the dominant homozygotes with high acidity from the heterozygotes. Such difficulties led Hiroshi et al. [29] and Pandey et al. [30] to classify fruit acidity into two classes in the study of the heritability of acidity of apple fruits and five phenotype classes of Erucic acid in Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea L. Czern & Coss) respectively. All these observations highlight the heritability of fruit acidity in general and that of palm oil in particular, as confirmed by other studies [29,30].

Submitted September 15, 2020 at 12:03AM by MelodicEarth2 (Via reddit https://ift.tt/33x3yk0) The Bible's claim that "God is love" is false by the Bible's very own definition of what love actually is, and his "Mercy" is infinitely lower than all humans possess naturally. Animals aren't even this cruel. This God's claim that he is "Light, having in him no darkness" is false on its face.
Point 1: God is love
1 John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
It's a famous verse, and very clear and simple: God is love, John says.
Had John read Paul's words in 1st Corinthians? Paul lays out a complete definition of what Biblical love actually is:
1 Corinthians 13:4
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
So how does God (that is, the same god who is described as love itself ) measure up to the description of love presented in (what is supposed to be) his own word?
Let's see:
Love is patient...
God continually lost his patience, especially with his own people. Some might say that Israel repeatedly tested God's patience and got what was coming to them, but how can the very God of the universe be provoked so easily? Even the Bible says "a day With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." This would suggest that 40 years in the desert or a few centuries of evil kings are barely a blip on the timeline for the eternal God. Yet even during this minute time period, God loses his patience constantly and lets puny man get under his skin.
Deuteronomy 9:7a - Remember, do not forget how you provoked the Lord your God to wrath in the wilderness
Deuteronomy 31:29 - For I know that after my death you will act corruptly and turn from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days, for you will do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of your hands
2 Kings 22:17 - Because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods that they might provoke Me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore My wrath burns against this place, and it shall not be quenched.
I don't feel the need to post every instance of God being provoked, but he is provoked constantly.
Love is kind...
Jesus spoke often spoke insultingly to those closest to him.
Mark 4:39 - He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?
Mark 7:17-18a - And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. "Are you so dull?" he asked.
Matthew 16:21-23 - From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This shall never happen to you.” But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me!"
Christ's snarky comments aside, the very act of bringing man into existence was unkind. According to the Bible, God has created a scenario where most of his image bearers will burn forever in eternal fire. He made finding Heaven impossibly hard and going to Hell easy. God planned from the beginning everything that would happen - and his plan was that most people Go to hell.
Matthew 7:14-15 - Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it
It does not envy...
God is bothered by any affection, praise or attention not directed toward him.
Exodus 34:11-14 - Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
Exodus 20:5 - I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation…
Matthew 10:27 - Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat. 10:34-36 - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'
"God hates laughter and despises mirth. To feel free, untrammeled, irresponsible, joyous,—to forget care and death—to be flooded with sunshine without a fear of night—to forget the past, to have no thought of the future, no dream of God, or heaven, or hell—to be intoxicated with the present—to be conscious only of the clasp and kiss of the one you love—this is the sin against the Holy Ghost." --Robert G. Ingersoll
It does not boast, it is not proud.
God boasts about his own greatness continually.
Exodus 9:14 - For this time I will send all My plagues on you and your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.
Isaiah 46:9 - Remember the former things long past,For I am God, and there is no other;I am God, and there is no one like Me.
Isaiah 45:12 - It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained all their host.
1 Chronicles 19:11 - Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
It does not dishonor others,
God continually feels the need to belittle man and reiterate how puny, insufficient and disappointing he is.
Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.
Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
Psalm 51:5 - Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Job 38:16-19 - Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep? Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep? Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this.
It is not self-seeking
The Bible says that God does whatever he wants, and does it for his own glory. He demands others do everything for his glory too.
1 Corinthians 10:31 - So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Psalm 115:3 - Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.
Isaiah 49:3 - And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
Acts 12:23 - Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.
Even when God acts in a way that initially seems self-sacrificial, the Bible is clear that he ultimately only does so for his own Glory.
Ephesians 1:12 - so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
Romans 3:25 - God put [Christ] forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
it is not easily angered
God is angered constantly, by infractions big and small.
2 Samuel 6:6-7 - But when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached out toward the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen nearly upset it. And the anger of the Lord burned against Uzzah, and God struck him down there for his irreverence; and he died there by the ark of God.
Numbers 12:9 - And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them, and he departed.
Deuteronomy 9:8 - Even at Horeb you provoked the Lord to wrath, and the Lord was so angry with you that He would have destroyed you.
Exodus 32:10 - Now then let Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.
2 Samuel 24:1 - Again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go, number Israel and Judah.”
Deuteronomy 9:22 - You also made the LORD angry at Taberah, at Massah and at Kibroth Hattaavah.
Psalm 7:11b - God is angry with the wicked every day
It keeps no record of wrongs
God keeps a total and complete record of every wrong ever committed.
2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Colossians 3:25 - For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.
Matthew 12:36 - I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak
Luke 8:17 - For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
Love does not delight in evil
We've already established God does everything he wants to do and does it for his own glory. Take note of the below events God decreed - for his own glory:
Isaiah 13:15-18 - Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children.
Isaiah 45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Leviticus 26:29 - then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and I myself will discipline you sevenfold for your sins. You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.
It always protects...
God does not always protect. God withdrew his protection many times from his own people to make a point.
Jeremiah 15:4 - I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for my anger will kindle a fire that will burn against you."
Jeremiah 16:13 - Therefore I will hurl you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.
Deuteronomy 4:26-17 - I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed. Then the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
Jeremiah 14:12 - Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence
Jeremiah 15:8 - Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas; I will bring against them, Against the mother of the young men, A plunderer at noonday; I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly.
These are only a handful of examples that prove God's character is often shown to be in complete opposition to Paul's description of love.
To describe God as love itself is incorrect - not by my standard - but by the standard of the Bible itself.
Point 2: God is merciful
The Biblical God is the least merciful being in the cosmos
“But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.” Psalm 86:15.
“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” Psalm 145:8-9.
“For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:13.
We hear constantly about how merciful the Biblical God is supposed to be, yet we witness elsewhere in the Bible and the rest of the world much evidence to the contrary.
God is not merciful to his creation. His creation is in pain constantly. All of his creation experiences misery. All of his creation suffers hunger, sadness, disaster, failing health, grief. All of his creation inevitably experiences death (even the species that didn't sin!) None of these concepts - pain, death, misery - had to exist at all, but God decided to create a cosmos that contained them all in abundance. The world, with its rape, death, torture, hunger, pain, stepping on Lego, etc. - this was the world that the richly compassionate and merciful God chose to speak into existence for his honor and glory. He could have created a world entirely of puppies and marshmallows. Heck, he could have created the exact same world we have now except without child pornography - but no; God didn't feel those worlds would give him glory quite like the child pornography containing world we have now.
God is particularly unmerciful toward his image bearers; to you and me. He seems to love pointing out that he has no reason to show us mercy at all, and that when he does show some mercy, we should tell him how great he is for it. Oh, but we're all dirty, rotten sinners after all, right? We are owed no mercy, right? In the words of R.C. Sproul, "These creatures from the dirt have no right to tell a God he's too harsh. What's wrong with you people!"
Well, what's "wrong" with us is that God wanted us to be wrong.
God created his image bearers specifically to fail. The fall did not take God by surprise. Unless God's plans can be thwarted (they can’t), man could only have fallen into sin because God specifically planned they would. We were "brought forth in iniquity" before we had any say in the matter. Are we depraved because we chose to be? Because we were given the choice not to be conceived in sin?
No.
We are fallen, sinful, creatures destined to eternal punishment because that's how the God who is "rich in mercy" created us. He wanted the vast majority of us to fail, die, and burn in terrible pain forever and ever. We know this because God's plans always come to fruition, and the Bible tells us that most men will die and go to hell. This is the merciful God's plan.
Of all the realities God could have created, He created the one where men were automatically imbued with a faulty, sin-prone nature they could never resist, and he set up a law under which they would never succeed. It pleased God to place his creation in unavoidable danger of fiery torture forever, so that he could arbitrarily create a small few who would escape for no other reason than to tell him how great he is for it.
Matthew 7:14-15 - Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it
Well, that mercy is not impressive. That is an infinitely lower level of mercy and compassion than all humans possess naturally. Animals aren't even that cruel. Animals don't torture their prey forever. Animals don't bring things to life specifically to torture them for their "glory" or "good pleasure." To deliberately create a world where all of your creation inevitably experiences terrible pain - some temporarily, most eternally - is the least merciful thing imaginable. What could be less merciful?
Point 3: There is no darkness in God
1 John 1:5 -- "This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all."
Darkness as in evil and falsehood.
Yet in the Bible God has women raped, children sacrificed alive in fire, half a hundred people slaughtered by bears for making a joke, punishes parents by brainwashing them into murdering then cannibalizing the flesh of their own children, slices open the stomachs of pregnant mothers -- yanking out and then dashing their babies to pieces, the list goes on. All ordained directly by the Lord. Satan never does these things in scripture, but God does. What is all this except the pitch black darkness of death and evil?
Those 42 people that God had slaughtered with 2 she-bears for making a joke about Elisha's bald spot, do you think God extended this same mercy toward them?
"He said unto them, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
The Bible constantly reminds us of the importance of self control, and to not give way to anger. It's interesting, the Bible says of God, "He is not a man" that he should act like we human beings do, that is, in a hypocritical manner in Numbers 23:19. Well he could have fooled me, he sure does give a convincing performance. You would think that the only being capable of total self control would show more self control. It is as God himself said, "For they do not practice what they themselves preach" (Matthew 23:3). While at the same time demanding others to obey.

Accessories In 1935, the American Kennel Club began obedience trials, and in the following years popular magazines raised public awareness of the benefits of having a trained pet dog, and of the recreational possibilities of dog training as a hobby.[17] After WWII, the increasing complexities of suburban living demanded that for a pet dog’s own protection and its owner’s convenience, the dog should be obedient. William Koehler had served as principal trainer at the War Dog Training Center, in California, and after the war became chief trainer for the Orange Empire Dog Club—at the time, the largest dog club in the United States—instructor for a number of breed clubs, and a dog trainer for the Walt Disney Studios.[18] In 1962 Koehler published The Koehler Method of Dog Training, in which he is highly critical of what he calls “tid-bit training techniques” based in “the prattle of ‘dog psychologists'”.[17] Amongst the training innovations attributed to Koehler is the use of a long line in conjunction with a complete absence of oral communication as a way of instilling attentiveness prior to any leash training. Koehler insisted that participants in his training classes used “emphatic corrections”, including leash jerks and throw chains, explaining that tentative, nagging corrections were cruel in that they caused emotional disturbance to the dog.[19] Vicki Hearne, a disciple of Koehler’s, commented on the widespread criticism of his corrections, with the explanation that it was the emotionally loaded language used in the book that led to a number of court cases, and to the book being banned in Arizona for a time.[20] Despite the controversy, his basic method forms the core of many contemporary training systems.[21] Animal, species, breed, name Filter Media Mary Parker Working Dogs Owning a Pet Press Releases Choke collar (slip collar or check collar) Cost: $110.00 A career in veterinary nursing Main Menu Contact details for Council · 4 February 2018 Dog health Perches On leash areas KID 5: If they get scared or in a frightful situation or if they’re overwhelmed, you work with those areas particularly around their ears.
