On May 4, the Embassy of Nicaragua, along with the Nicaragua Solidarity Coalition, held an event in honor of Nicaragua’s Day of National Dignity. The day celebrates General Augusto Sandino’s refusal to adhere to the Espino Negro Pact, which essentially turned over control of Nicaragua to the United States military.

Deja Vu in San Espino (sneak peek)

Hey, everybody, long time no see. I've been working on my latest long form fic, which features Mike as the main character. I finally have more time to keep writing, and because of that I wanted to give you all a sneak peek.

Deja Vu in San Espino is a work that I've already planned out and just need to write. In my own words, this fic is inspired by Olivia Rodrigo's Deja Vu, and mixes elements of light academia and romantic comedies, while still being a study into Mike and Will's relationship.

I'm not very far along, but I hope you anticipate it, especially as I'll provide updates this summer. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek, and I'll see you later!

also i was gonna do like a proper write-up for Viltau's Fright Night party as a 'hey here's a scene people can use and say their characters attended if they want' like a week ago, but writing House of Cards took longer than i expected and also. well. Life Happens, but here's the low down anyway:

Jikiro made replicas of the Frankenstein's Monster statues Viltau wanted but got delayed in the shipping, and Jamie fixed the chandelier. Hooray :]

As stated in the drabble, the theme of the event is the Universal Classic Monsters universe. The dress code for costumes was that it had to be a character from one of those movies.

This wasn't a Murder Party so no act of violence or visible strife weapons were allowed, and attendance was open to the public

The entire hive + ballroom had been decorated in shades of grey to match how the original movies were filmed in black and white, and as the event went on colour would slowly start to return to all the decorations and furniture. that's movie magic babey!!

I already forgot what the menu was lol, but it's Viltau. You know it's gonna be some Real Good Shit with desserts to die for

The music was what you'd expect for a halloween party hosted by a gay ass theatre kid turned theatre adult. The Time Warp was an absolute necessity even if it did not fit the theme

Viltau was present for maybe about the first ten minutes of the event to do the usual round of showing his face to guests, and then snuck away to retire to his respiteblock for the rest of the night because he was fucking exhausted both physically and mentally
