spooner/astra makes me insaaaane in 7.01 when astra nearly dies trying to repair the waverider bc she’s determined to prove her worth to the team and then she wakes up to spooner waiting anxiously at her bedside and spooner is angry at her and SAYS it’s bc the commotion from astra’s failed magic is only gonna put spooner’s mom in more danger but really we know spooner is mad that astra would endanger herself like that bc she cares about astra and doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her but is just reluctant to admit this to astra bc she doesn’t like being vulnerable. and astra feels terrible bc if she still had a mom she’d want to protect her too and the last thing she wants is for spooner to suffer the loss of her mom like she did. and astra realizes that her reckless attitude toward her own safety had a negative impact on the people around her which she never intended and that even when she’s trying to do something good for the team she messes up. but then later spooner confesses to astra that she was really worried about her and also reassures her that she is powerful and capable and doesn’t need to prove herself <3
