I feel like I would be in danger considering the characters that are on this post.

(Lisa) "Oh my. This is an...interesting movie choice for us tonight, S/O."

S/O had shown Lisa many of these "movies". They ranged from comedic, serious, action-packed, name a genre, S/O would have it!

Though, she didn't predict "smut" to be on their movie library.

Part of her wonders if S/O was trying to tell her something by having this movie on tonight.

(Lisa) "You know, if you wanted to try something exciting in the bedroom, you could have just told me, dear.~"

Lisa teases as her fingers brush across their shoulder, giggling.

Lisa was highly amused by the movie, but can't help but wonder how anyone could've acted those scenes out with a straight face.

Well regardless, it definitely gave her some new ideas.

(Eula) "...What on earth did you put on, S/O?!"

Eula is blushing madly as the movie goes on, eventually just shaking her head and pausing the movie straight up.

She did not mind the selection S/O usually put on during movie nights, but this was too far!

Her heart couldn't take it Eula had far more class than whatever the hell this was!

(Eula) "I refuse to watch something so indecent! S/O, put on a different film at once, lest you incur my wrath!"

This time, she actually means it.

The fact they specifically chose this movie changes Eula's view on S/O on...certain topics.

She tries her best to keep the movie's scenes out of her mind lest she succumb to becoming a flustered mess.

Jean's face is blushing madly, her jaw slightly agape, and eyes wide open.

She could not peel her eyes off the screen, being completely speechless.

Jean does not look S/O in the eyes the entire duration, just remaining dead silent.

(Jean) "..."

It's only after the movie is done that she clears her throat.

(Jean) ahem "T-That...was an odd choice for a movie, tonight S/O."

She does not say a single thing about the movie other than that.

Jean's face is completely red, hoping that S/O wasn't going to say anything about it.

Barbatos help her, the movie is on her mind for at least then next week, even while at work.

Her flustered state gets worse when she envisions-

NOPE. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT.

(Jean) frustrated sigh

(Lumine) "...I think I would've liked an action movie better."

Lumine can't help but be a little flustered while watching the movie.

Especially with S/O sitting next to her as it goes on.

But it was made worse as Paimon was just sitting there, eating the popcorn.

(Paimon) "Uh...Paimon doesn't understand what's happening here. Why is she tied up?"

(Lumine) "Paimon, go get us some more popcorn. Now."

Paimon happily agrees to get more food as she shovels the remaining bucket into her mouth, leaving them alone.

Lumine crosses her arms and frowns at S/O.

(Lumine) "If you're trying to tell me something with this, I don't find it funny."

She would be taken more serious had her blush not completely overtaken her face.

(Yae) "Oh, they turned that book you lent me into a theatre production? How risque."

Yae is highly amused by watching the scenes she read acted out.

She also notices how many differences there were between the film and novels.

(Yae) "Hm. They do not pounce on each other nearly as much as they did in the text. I do not know if I am disappointed or relieved..."

Nitpicking aside, she enjoys the experience of watching the movie and comparing the book.

(Yae) "I wonder how this would do if I were to publish this in house. Would many people read it, or would it be forgotten?"

She shrugs and looks back at S/O, a dangerous glint in her eye.

(Yae) "Nevermind that. Is there a particular reason you wanted to show me this, little one? I doubt it was solely because you wanted to see my reaction."

She laughs upon seeing S/O's face, her hand covering her mouth.

Confusion, thy name is Ei.

There were so many questions she had throughout the movie, especially when it came to the spicier scenes.

(Ei) "Ana is getting tied up, is she about to be interroga-...Oh. They are naked. What exactly is happening to her?"

She just blinks in curiosity throughout the entire movie, her attitude barely shifting.

Ei feels like she has even more questions about what humans do in their off time than ever before.

(Ei) "Is this based off a true story? I do not feel like this is entirely healthy for humans to have. Unless we are the outlier?"

She doesn't really know what to think of the movie, honestly.

(Yelan) "Well, this is as subtle as Ningguang throwing the Jade Palace at whatever's inconveniencing her that day."

Honestly? Yelan finds the movie pretty entertaining.

Beats just doing nothing with her night.

But she can't help but wonder the implications of S/O choosing this movie of all things to watch.

Especially considering her Vision's powers.

Yelan had never really thought about using her strings that way before.

(Yelan) "I hope you're not planning on asking me to try everything we saw, S/O. I have more class than that. And I certainly hope you have higher standards than her."

Rosaria has a slight smirk the entire movie duration, not really commenting on anything aloud.

Not until the movie is finished that she speaks up.

(Rosaria) "I feel like I need a bath after watching that."

She leans back into the sofa, looking at S/O with an eyebrow raised.

(Rosaria) "Not that I hated watching it, but why exactly did you wanna show me this movie? I know you got your kinks, but I didn't think you were that freaky."

Rosaria chuckles as she simply moves to find another movie.

(Rosaria) "Not judging. Just surprised is all."

Ayaka didn't really know what to expect hearing the name.

But as the film progressed, her face scrunched up and cheeks heated faster than anything in her life had done.

The moment the first spicy scene hits, she's already sweating profusely as she turns to S/O, trying to ignore the sounds.

(Ayaka) "S-S/O! Could we change the movie?...Please?!"

She would literally watch anything other than this. Even the horror movies!

Ayaka was already embarrassed in the bedroom, there was no need to have it presented to her in such...such a degenerate form!

(Ayaka) "I would thank you if we were to not watch those kinds of movies S/O. Not that I am ungrateful for us spending time together but...But why that?!"

Shenhe's face barely moves the entire movie.

Her monotone voice simply speaks up during certain scenes like:

(Shenhe) "We do not do that when you are on top of me."

Or:

(Shenhe) "Is that how you're supposed to do it? What you do to me is very different."

Shenhe doesn't even blink at any of the more spicy scenes.

Shenhe unintentionally guts the eroticism out of the entire movie, watching it as if it was some kind of guide on how romance should be done.

Regardless, it's something Shenhe doesn't approve of, at all.

(Shenhe) "That did not look enjoyable. Thank you for treating me well, S/O. May we watch another movie?"

Shenhe puts on something that she can understand far better, and was far more enjoyable.

She doesn't even really think about Fifty Shades of Grey. For her, it was a movie, and that was about the extent of it.

Eli and Stiles' jeep

I've been thinking recently and I have a few theories about Eli in general and why, at the end of the movie, the Sheriff gives him Stiles' jeep.

Number one:

Maybe, since Stiles isn't in the movies and we all know how many people in the Teen Wolf fandom likes him, the director though that it would've been a good idea to put in the movie another character to 'replace' Stiles.

Cause if you look close enough to the two of them, Eli and Stiles have so many similarities or even scenes in common.

Eli, as we all well know, have the same sarcasm style as Stiles (and let me say, no he didn't take it from Peter even tho he is sarcastic too. Peter is way more passive aggressive with his tongue)

Eli has a very similiar fashion style to Stiles (maybe they even wear some clothes that are the same - but I haven't investigated that so this is all an hypothesis)

Do you remember the famous flashback Stiles had while he explained how he helped Derek evade the FBI's scanners and radars? Well, after he explained it 'wrong' Derek corrected him, reminding him how he had to be carried out by Derek cause he shot his foot. And that same scheme of action -Derek carrying Stiles around while he whines in pain - comes back in the movie. Derek carrying Eli the same way after he sprained his ankle and whining to his father to put him down.

They also act very similiar if not the same. The expressiveness, the exaggerated hands gestures, the 'let me say this crap in the wrong moment' kinda attitude and also - MAYBE - they both go after a love intereste that doesn't reciprocate their love. (When Eli is in the jeep at the red light he sees a girl in the car next to him and prepare to act all cool - but fails...)

How they both cannot play lacrosse for the life of them or if you wanna say it another way, how they kinda suck at it. (I'm not gonna elaborate further, they have some problems with that game and I'll let that be) and how they both somehow managed to score a point during a game when initially, they weren't even supposed to be on the field that day.

They both have an innate awkwardness with multiple people around, especially if they don't know these people or if they feel like these people doesn't like or approve of them somehow (this could be a whole another post itself, maybe it'll be...)

How they are both raised by single fathers (or at least, that how it seems for Eli, since we know nothing about the mother)

And lastly for this round, how they both are 'insanely' attached to that jeep (Eli cause he wanna 'play around' with his father knowing that the man have 'complicated feelings' about the jeep. Stiles cause it was his mother's and how he keeps reparing it as best as he can throughout the whole show)

So, maybe he was put in the movie to fill Stiles' absence?

Number two:

Whether or not Eli was put in the show to replace Stiles' type of character and have a consistency with characteristics and personality portrait by both, why did they make him Derek's son?

Because they could've made him Peter's son as well, or Chris' cousin even - if they pushed it that far - and also, couldn't he simply be a teenager who ends up involved with the nogitsune, for all another set of reasons?

Making him Derek's son, even if it could simply be the easy way out to add Eli, has to have some meaning somehow, or at least i personally hope and believe so.

Cause maybe Eli is there to tell us something or confirm something else:

Maybe Eli, who's so similar to Stiles, has been made as Derek's son to show us how - somehow and maybe - Stiles was in contact with him while he grow up and that could explain their similarities.

Maybe Eli is 'living proof' of Stiles being Derek's anchor (as it was confirmed in a script of an episode that later was changed due to difficulties with scheduling the actors) and how he - Stiles - could've had a significant impact in Eli's life, either through Derek's stories of him or Stiles being actively present.

Maybe Eli - detaching the argument from Stiles - could mean the second possibility that Derek has to be a 'good role model', which he wasn't for Scott, Isacc, Boys and Erica (despite the fact he did his best in the only way he knew, he surely looked as 'not someone you would wanna learn from' )

Maybe Eli, destipe all odds, could just be... Eli!

But still, it remains strange to me how our good little Eli is so much like Stiles and also Derek's son, cause we - shippers and non-shippers - all know that these two characters clearly had something going on...

Number three:

Leaving out the why 'Derek's son' and why 'Stiles' copy', as we all know at the end of the movie the Sheriff gives Eli the jeep, but why?

We all know how madly in love Stiles is with the jeep and how it belonged to his dear mother before being his and the Sheriff was there seeing both of them running around the city with the old thing.

It leaves me perplexed how Noah - the Sheriff - decided to give the beloved jeep to Eli after his father died, but at the same time it makes very much sense. Let me explain.

There are a few reasons of why it leaves me perplexed and with many questions, which range is pretty vast.

Why giving the jeep 'away' after it belonged to the Stilinski family for +30 years?

Does Stiles knows about this?

Is Stiles never going to drive it again or he decided to leave the jeep behind? (To which I say, why would he ever do that after he didn't give up on it when it broke down in the middle of the desert, in mexico)

But with this said, if you look at it from another prospective it makes quite sense.

Why Noah 'gave away' - or to better say, gave to someone else - the only thing he had left of his wife and son (since Stiles is away for the majority of the time due to his work probably)?

Did Noah gave it to Derek to help him cope with Stiles being away? (If so, how come Noah knows something or, when he spoke to Eli during Derek's funeral, did he lie when he said "Derek towed it in", without saying that he gave it to Derek himself or did he simply omitted that part ?)

Noah gave the jeep to Stiles after his mother died, he gave his son something to hold onto while the grieved the loss of his mother, while also giving him something to remember her. The jeep is basically the symbol - if you wanna be poetic about this, which I'll be - of his mother's love for him.

It's the only piece left of her that actually serves a purpose and not only something which function is to remember someone who died (like it could be a photo or a ring).

Stiles takes care of the jeep like it's a living thing cause it's the only thing in the world he has of his mother, a mother who in the last moments of her life, couldn't even remember or recognize her own son. So Stiles lives her memories through the jeep and within it, that's why he never left it for anything, not a single reason was strong enough to his ears to make him leave it behind. Cause in the end it would mean leave his mother also behind, which he doesn't want to do.

And then, Stiles is gone to live the FBI agent life and the jeep ends up in Derek's hands who puts it all back together - maybe with something more strong that duct tape - and Noah is fully aware of this and how, the big old scary wolf, decided to take upon himself to repair the old thing that Stiles loved and treasured so much during his whole life.

Then the jeep is back to function and Eli has some fun with it, despite - or maybe in spite of - knowing about:

Your father had complicated feelings about that jeep

(Said by Noah)

And that:

He hated that jeep

(Said by Eli)

Because in the end, despite these sentences are said at the end of the movie, Eli knew about it anyway. Somehow he did.

Eli knew and kept getting the jeep, maybe without his father even knowing about it at times.

(And then Noah would call Derek about it, just like we saw in the movie.)

And when Eli is the one grieving the loss of his father, the only parent he probably ever knew in his whole life, Noah does it again. He gives the jeep to someone who's grieving the loss of a beloved and cared member of their family.

Stiles' mother was the first owner of the jeep, the one who chose it among who knows how many other cars, and it helped Stiles with his grief when she died.

Derek towed the jeep in and managed to fix it despite all odds and the tons of duct tape Stiles had put on it and when he died, the jeep passed to Eli in order to help him with his own grief.

Both times Noah was the one who gave the jeep to the one in pain, was the one who understood grief better than most and knew how to help and was the one who knew about it all.

So yeah, somehow to me, it does make sense.

The jeep is the "grief-helper" and Noah knows about it all.

Number four:

The meaning of the jeep itself is also very fascinating, especially if you look at it poetically and also how Noah is, somehow, always the deliverer.

Like I said before, maybe it's really about the jeep itself and what it represents to the people who drives it (Stiles and Eli). Because for both it's a reminder of someone who they loved tremendously and that are now gone (Stiles' mother and Derek).

Also there's Noah.

Noah, man of justice and single father, that gives the jeep to children/teenagers who lost their parents, cause somehow Noah knows the value of the jeep, or better what people makes it when they know its story.

(Somehow I managed to merge a bit of this theory with the third one, in fact they are pretty connected)

Why I love them, like them or hate them?

I love her because she always wants to do the right thing even though she doesn't always know what that is and even though everyone around her constantly treats her so poorly and thinks the worst of her even after she's proven herself time and time again. And I also love her because, as the Designated Morally Gray Character, she got to have way more interesting scenes & relationships than most of the other characters on the show did, she got to fundamentally disagree with & call out Kara and the other Superfriends, and she (somewhat) got held accountable when she made mistakes. (More than anyone else did at any rate lol.)

And I hate her because she wears shoes on the couch. Girl you are RICH buy some SLIPPERS or something!!!!!

2. How would I have chosen to change their story from canon?

Don't make her a witch!!!!! >_< Also I would've axed Non Nocere. You could replace it with so many things, including my superpower dampener idea or, like, Anything Else. (And if they HAD to include Non Nocere, 5x08 should've been the end of it -- Lena should've either chosen not to launch it at the last minute, or she should've told Hope to launch it only for Hope to be like I cannot obey that directive Ms. Luthor because you programmed me to do no harm and then Lena could've been like Oh.....I see.....and then had her big revelation that it was a bad idea.)

Going back a little further -- I would've actually loved for Lillian to turn her into Metallo in the real timeline? Maybe at the end of S2 or S3? It would've been super fucked up which is why it would be so delicious. Especially with Lena still not knowing Kara was deathly allergic to kryptonite. But you could also use the plotline to show Lena's resilience and scientific prowess, as she works to stabilize the kryptonite in her new heart. (Also, this would be a fabulous excuse to give her a dog who could detect potential kryptonite destabilization. This show needed a dog so bad.)

I also think, if this show had different showrunners who were better about race, it would've been really interesting for the Luthors -- with all their wealth, scientific genius, & opposition to Superman -- to be black. (Consider: Angela Bassett as Lillian. Just saying.)

8. What is a headcanon I have about this character?

Mm, well, to follow up on my answer to #2, one headcanon I have is that what Lillian said about manipulating her into going into STEM was only true for Earth-Prime Lillian and Lena, not Earth-38 Lillian and Lena, and since our Lena is still the Earth-38 version it actually isn't true for her. :) It's a goofy loophole but I'll take it!

Also, it was in a deleted scene so it's not an original duckthought, but I like the idea that she was a fencer and almost made the Olympics, I think that's cool. (I will leave the speculation on the kind of fencing she did to you and your very non-biased friend.)

17. How well would they do if they got dropped in a horror movie?

Well it depends on the themes of the horror movie and what it's trying to say, for instance, if it's a horror movie about cycles of familial abuse I think she might be the final girl but in one about the excesses of capitalism she probably wouldn't make it I think pretty well? She's not very genre-aware to be fair but she makes many Devices and, crucially, she can make her little Devices even when she doesn't have a lot of resources at hand.

18. Would I personally trust them to be my friend?

Yes because she has so much moneys and all you have to do is be so nicies to her and she will be loyal to you for life. (Actually you.....don't even have to do that. 🥴) Would I WANT to be friends with her? Honestly, I probably wouldn't want to be friends with anyone on CWSG. But I'd trust her, yeah.

If you knew it was going to be like this, you would've stayed single just a bit longer. Kept your peace, and even enjoyed the solitude of being probably the only single friend in your group.

'Give someone a chance.' They said. 'One date wouldn't hurt.' They said. 'You deserve to be happy.' As if you weren't happy the way you were. As if simply spending time with your best friends wasn't all you needed to feel loved and socially satisfied. Especially spending time with your two best friends (and a very new couple) Billy and Eddie. Thankfully, the fact that they've recently become more than friends didn't change anything in your friendship dynamic. Although it did crush any silent hopes you had of dating either of them. Those hopes would still kick out a painful little whimper whenever the boys were being their usual affectionate selves.

Lovely friends or not, nobody likes feeling like a third wheel.

So you took their advice, and forced yourself to entertain the advances of one Richard (called 'Rich') Cummings. You couldn't even enjoy the snort that usually accompanied hearing his last name, because he made sure you never came. When things eventually became physical, he was a huge disappointment. Carelessly thrusting away until he selfishly reached his climax, then slipping away into the night. It'd be better if he slept with an inanimate object. Then no one's feelings would be getting hurt. Maybe you wouldn't be in the situation you're in now.

"C'mon Rich, pick up the phone..." You paced the length of your bedroom, twirling the telephone cord around your finger. Out of the three months you've been together with him, he's spent the last one being distant. More than usual.

"Yeah?" His voice picked up on the other end of the line, gruff and a little annoyed by the sound of it.

"Are we still going tonight? We usually leave around this time, and I'm ready to go, but you haven't said anything about it..." He grunted and groaned through your words, making you fade out into a whisper. "Did- Did you forget?" At first, he was the one who insisted on celebrating an anniversary every month on the 16th. Taking you to a movie and then the diner to share your favorite milkshake.

Shuffling in the background of his house caught your attention, but he silenced it with a harsh hush. "Wha? Nah, I didn't forget baby. We're gonna skip the movie tonight. Straight to the diner." The noise came again, and for a second it sounded like another voice. Something that made Rich chuckle before he continued. "Yeah, I'll meet you at the diner in thirty minutes. Later babe."

"Wait, how am I-" click. The line went dead, and you were left sighing with an extra stress added on to your night. How am I supposed to get there? He always picked you up.

Time and time again, your two besties came to your rescue.

"Fuck that guy." Billy grumbled, gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were white. You reached forward, leaning over the column between the two front seats of his Camaro and squeezed his shoulder. Eddie, who was in the passenger seat, nodded in agreement.

"Honestly Sweetheart, when we said you should start dating, we didn't mean find the biggest asshole in town."

"Well I had to settle for second biggest asshole. You already took the first." Eddie doubled over with husky giggles at your remark. One hand raised off the steering wheel to flip you a ring-clad middle finger. "Sit on it, Y/n."

"I think Eddie's got that covered."

This got a gasp from Eddie, placing a hand on his chest. "When did I become the bottom??"

Ohhh?? The subject on who 'topped' or 'bottomed' in their relationship never really came up in conversation. The new nugget of information was dizzying to imagine. Mr.Rough-Em'-Up Billy Hargrove, panting and moaning on all fours. Oh yup, that would be a fun little session when you were back in your bed tonight.

"We're here." Billy pulled into the parking lot, looking away to hide his reddened cheeks. The diner was right ahead of you, and the large glass windows along the front allowed you to see who was inside. It was a slow night, which you loved. Felt more intimate. Then you scanned the area and realized... Rich wasn't there. You were already ten minutes late, he should've beaten you here.

Following your line of sight, the boys came to the same realization. "Do you want us to wait for you? In case you need a ride back?" You could tell Eddie was trying to keep a positive attitude, but his eyes gave him away. Glaring the entrance door as if he expected Rich to walk through it and spontaneously combust from the intensity of his stare.

"We'll be right here."

The usual waitress gave you a sympathetic smile as she placed the second milkshake in front of you, and collected the empty glass from the first. Thirty minutes late, and still no sign of Rich. You couldn't see them in the dark of the parked Camaro in the lot, but you could feel their eyes on you. Most likely fuming.

"Oh shit, you're still here." The voice, despite it being one you've apparently waited so long to hear, didn't bring you any sense of comfort. Not with the crass way his words came out. "I thought you would've taken the hint and left."

Richard 'Town's Biggest Asshole' Cummings, has officially beaten Billy for top spot.

The girl on his arm only added to the stinging humiliation that bubbled behind your eyelids. It collected in the corners of your eyes, and you fought with everything you had not to let it escape. It's bad enough if Rich saw you cry, but this chick seeing it felt like such an intrusion. Who was he to expose your raw nerves like this?

"Fuck you, Richard." Was all you could manage, standing up from your seat and rummaging around in your purse for the wallet you were almost sure you put in there. Or maybe you didn't. Richard usually made a big deal about paying for your dates. Fuck.

He scoffed, pulling a roll of bills from the back pocket of his jeans. "Here. Take it as an apology."

"She won't need it."

Richard stumbled forward as someone pushed by him, purposely moving him aside with their broad and confident posture. Billy placed money down on the table and took your hand. His grip was soft and careful, in contrast to his aggressive stance. The free hand by his side was clenched into a fist. "Let's go, babydoll." He looked over his shoulder at the two of them, recognizing the girl from one of his past hookups. "Hope you know, she's all teeth, Rich. It's like stickin' your dick in a cheese grater. Have fun!"

Without hesitation, he shrugged his demin jacket off and draped it over your shoulders. A blanket of needed comfort. Like the arm he slung over your shoulder, guiding you out into the chilly night air.

Eddie was on board, already patting his pockets for keys. "We should take my van, though. People can spot your Camaro from a mile away."

"BOYS!!" They both turned to you, freezing in place. You didn't raise your voice often. "I- ...As much as I love the thought of Rich getting his ass kicked, I just- I really need you two right now..." There was no more fight left in you, and the tears refused to be held back any longer. They made themselves known with the heavy sob that passed your trembling lips. Taking you apart piece by piece.

All plans for rearranging Richard's face were forgotten in the wake of your meltdown. The two of them rushed to your side, sitting on either side of you and squishing you between them in a tight hold. If you weren't so distraught, you would've appreciated the warmth of two toned chests and arms caging you in. It's like they tried to overpower the tears with an abundance of cheek kisses. Fingers running through your hair, and large palms rubbing your back and shoulders. You couldn't tell who was doing what. You just let yourself sink into it. Closing your eyes as they whispered sweet nothings into your ears.

"You're too good for him, sweetheart."

"He didn't know what to do with a girl like you, anyway."

"You'll always have us. You know that, right?"

"Heh, I dunno if we should let you date again. Can't really trust your choices." Billy said, slightly muffled by the position of his face in the crook of your neck. "Maybe we should just keep you for ourselves. What do you think, Ed?"

Eddie peeked up from nuzzling at your collarbone. "I think you're right. 'Least she knows we'll treat her right. Don't you, princess?"

Truly, your mind was mush in their grasp. Your heart, well, they've been holding onto that for a long time. "I love you." Coming from a dreamy haze, you made sure to lock eyes with both of them. "You mean so much to me."

"We love you too, babydoll."

For once, after hearing those words from them, you felt at ease. Replacing the pressure of finding a date, with the satisfaction of having your two favorite boys wrapped around your finger. ♡

1.) Who do you play?

I play Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard, God of Mischief.

2.) If you could be anyone else in the MCU, who would you be and why?

I originally auditioned to play Thor - I reached the final few, and even put on a lot of muscle for the call-back in hopes that I would get the part. It ultimately went to the real life Thor, or as us Midgardians call him: Chris Hemsworth. I suppose I do wonder what it would've been like playing Thor, especially with his character development throughout the years - he most certainly is not the same man who was banished to Earth in 2011, and it could be a lot of fun doing that. So that's the character that springs to mind first. But also, if Charlie Cox wasn't the perfect Daredevil, he would be very fun to play.

3.) How has being part of the MCU changed your life?

It has changed my life in every way. Things got crazy after the first Thor came out, and suddenly a lot more people knew who I am, from something other than the odd role here and there. I was getting recognised everywhere, and with every instalment I've been lucky enough to be part of, it's just elevated more and more. And with that exposure, it's led to a lot more roles falling to my lap that I otherwise very much doubt I'd have gotten. So I am so grateful for Marvel and everything they've given me and my Loki throughout the years.

4.) Is there anything about your character you wish you had more control over or would do differently from the movie?

I don't think so. I've always felt like I've been allowed a lot of creative input, especially on the TV show. Marvel knows by now how passionate I am about my character, how much I've researched, how willing I am to work with them to make good stories. Maybe a bit more of an appearance in Infinity War would've been nice, but it was very in keeping with Loki's narrative, and felt like a very natural end for that variant of Loki.

5.) Is there a certain comic book or scene you want to see your character play?

A number of my suggestions were actually partly used in the TV show, through the multiple variants. But Loki as the Agent of Asgard has always been such a fun idea to do - I don't know how it would fit into the greater MCU, so it would likely have to be more of a standalone narrative again, but the idea of Loki going around and being a spy, so his mistakes can be erased from history - that could be interesting.

6.) Who is another MCU character you wish you could have scenes with or your character would get along best with?

Daredevil. Easy. I think they'd fascinate one another, plus Charlie Cox is the sweetest man, and we'd bounce off of each other very well.

7.) What upcoming MCU project are you most excited for and why?

Of course, I am super excited to see all of the upcoming films - knowing that the TVA is featuring in Deadpool & Wolverine is exciting, and I can't wait to watch that soon. But also the new Captain America - seeing where that narrative will be taken - the Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four movies, they sound like they're going to be epic. But perhaps what I'm most curious to see is Blade - I loved the Wesley Snipes movies, and knowing that the rights are in the studio's hands now, it will be interesting to see where the story gets taken.

8.) Would you ever consider joining the DCU and if so as who?

I know there have been various fancasts of me in different DC roles, but I think Marvel is too much in my blood that I don't think I would say yes to a part in DC. But never say never.

Apparently by "a little," my subconscious meant to dump all of my OC's designs, evolution and backstory at your feet. I'll try to summarize lmao.

I had gotten this idea at the beginning of 2019. Maybe a month after CYM was released. I really wanted a SU OC and my favorite color was blue at the time, so, naturally, I ended up researching a ton of blue gemstones and minerals. The very first name I contemplated was Blue Spinel, which I thought sounded kinda dorky written down and I preferred Kyanite. But the name grew on me and I couldn't decide on Kyanite or Blue Spinel.

Here's a referenced version of Kyanite's very first concept:

I briefly had an idea where she was bubbled on Earth and still got hit with the Corrupting Light, but it only half affected her because of the bubble. This was because I wanted to make her design really feral and monstrous because frankly, I love those designs. Then I decided not to because that idea had too many inconsistencies for her backstory.

Instead I settled to changing her name to Cat's Eye Kyanite, - after discovering that was a thing - using this as an excuse to give her some catlike features. Cats are cool.

Kyanite gets fangs and claws.

I know she looks a little like Lapis, and this is probably because I have some annoying drawing habits. I can only draw Peridot, Spinel and Lapis, so I tend to lapse into these habits when I try to draw anyone else.

Kyanite/Blue Spinel's main power was:

Dissolving her form into a beam of striated light, which resembles actual raw kyanite. It's kinda ironic because the beam is just a simplified, liquid version of her physical form. Raw, primitive light. She can only move in a straight line while using this attack, as light only moves forward.

This reflects off of Steven's shield and bubble. He unintentionally curb stomped her attack the first time they met; she simply ricocheted off his shield and went flying in the opposite direction.

After lately discovering Sonic, this ability has been removed since the coincidence was a little too much for me lmao.

She was a very insecure, melodramatic Gem prone to anxiety, though very protective of those she cared about. She would leap in front of a poofing blow without a second thought, and could be a little scrappy at times.

Kyanites can detect a falsity from miles away, so never lie to her. She will know.

Her full gem name was Cat's Eye Kyanite Facet-8 Cut 3YK. Quite a mouthful, huh?

Her original backstory is kinda janked, so after this I'll share her scrapped one that's still kinda in progress.

Basically, she was made alongside a team of cabochon Kyanites, but was a defective deep-cut. Her Gem was faceted instead of smooth, she was shorter than she should've been, and instead of being calm and balanced like all other Kyanites, she was nervous and impulsive. Despite being off-color, her defects had benefits. She was a brighter color and slightly stronger than her fellow Kyanites, so her superior ended up keeping her anyways. Though a lot of abuse was still directed at her from said superior and teammates. She also had limb enhancers.

At some point, the Kyanites' manager got sent to earth to help with the colony's construction. While the Corrupting Light was being initiated, 3YK ended up being left behind and bubbled in the Facet 5 Cluster lab. In this version of the AU, the Crystal Gems found her bubble after destroying all of the force fusion shards. They took it back to the temple and Steven convinced them to pop it in case it was an innocent Gem. After all, if it was just another corruption or Homeworld Gem, they could catch it again and no harm done... Right?

I ended up just kinda putting this OC down for a while and never came back to it, but after the movie came out, things got interesting. I never would've anticipated an actual canon Spinel, and, to my mild surprise, my own OC had some obvious similarities besides part of the same name. Some of which include a widow's peak or whatever it's called, similar stature, short hair/fur and then longer tufts, similar coloring system, personality, and some more subtle things.

But I liked both of these characters so much that I just have 2 sub-characters; Blue Spinel and Cat's Eye Kyanite. They each have their own individual AUs, I guess, as well.

Ok, for Blue Spinel now!

I have a headcanon that there are other Spinels on Homeworld, but they're not necessarily the same as the Spinel everyone knows and loves.

As you might know, spinel in real life is rather rare and as such not many people know about it. One could say it's underrated. Gem hierarchy on Homeworld seems to be primarily based on Gem worth and popularity on earth. For example, Diamonds being the highest rank gem. Diamonds are actually one of the most common gemstones on earth; and they're very well known by the community.

Ask someone what the most important gemstone is (not in the context of Steven Universe) and they'll probably answer "diamond" without skipping a beat. So by this logic, Spinels on Homeworld could be kinda rare, and not of a particularly high rank but still important nonetheless. Like Pearls, they could be considered the expensive pets or toys of the upper classes.

Take Pink Spinel. She was made for Pink Diamond, especially customized to look and behave like her. She was made to entertain and be Pink's best friend.

In the movie, Pearl sings:

"This will be fun

Aren't you the lucky one?

Her cut is perfect and she's pink, as well

She'll bring you endless entertainment

Your new best friend, Spinel!"

Steven is lucky to have a Spinel? Are they rare? Perhaps only for the highest of the elites, and most likely much more important than Pearls.

Pink Spinel is, in a way, the ultimate or Diamond quality Spinel. Like Jasper is the Ultimate Quartz.

She's the same color as Pink Diamond/Steven, but, how would Pearl know that Steven was Pink? He shows no physical traits of her, besides her Gem, which is also covered and not obviously even Pink Diamond. Pearl was also reset and completely disregarded Steven in all scenes, as Greg was her new owner.

Is there something different or special about Pink Spinels that deserved a mention in Pearl's basic description of these Gems?

These are, as it seems, in an order. Lucky to have a Spinel. She's perfect and,

Pink.

She'll entertain you.

It's unlikely that these two are connected, but it could be possible that different color Spinels have different purposes.

Pink gems, as a stereotype, might be more fun-loving and goofy. Take Pink Pearl and Pink Diamond. We haven't met very many Pink Gems, but they all seem to share this trait. This could also be because they were modeled after Pink Diamond, but hear me out anyways. Blue Gems tend to be rather solemn. (Lapis Lazuli, Blue Diamond, Blue Pearl, Sapphire.) Green/yellow/orange/red Gems tend to be more sassy, energetic and/or egotistical. (Peridot, Yellow Pearl, Yellow Diamond, Ruby.)

Why wouldn't there be a trait for pink Gems?

Homeworld could've utilized this to create a naturally happy-go-lucky Spinel whose purpose is to be happy and entertain other Gems.

But are all Spinels entertainers?

Entertainment seems like a foreign concept for Gems, and within the busy hierarchy, who would ever have time for fun?

In real life, spinel is known as the copy gem. It can mimic almost any crystal because it comes in such a wide range of colors and has a hardness of 8 on the MOHs scale.

So I created an adaptive theory.

Real spinels can be used to mimic other gems. Homeworld Spinels are one of the customizable "accessory" Gems, which take an appearance and personality very similar to that of their owner.

If this were the case, they would be like a higher quality Pearl with more diverse skills. Programmed to have a base personality exactly like their owner, and if their owner screws up bad, they could just be replaced by their Spinel if they're essential to the hierarchy.

Spinels can be entertainers, friends, substitutes or replacements.

Possibly, not all Spinels are solely entertainers. There could be others out there either way, and with this they could be much more relevant in the Gem society though still very rare.

Anyways, it's just a theory. I hope that made sense.

I might put that specific theory on a separate post as well since I'm rather fond of it lmao.

And now, for her backstory.

Celestine was an important Gem. Her role was to manage a portion of Blue's court, and give reports on how her Diamond's colonies were progressing. She, along with all the other Celestines recorded everything that happened and acted as messengers for higher elites. She oversaw colonies when Blue was away and aided her Diamond in their managements. She specializes in this position of great responsibility.

Alongside their roles, Celestines in general can quickly freeze liquids and control them in their solid state or at a certain temperature below freezing. Unlike Sapphires, however, they cannot generate ice out of thin air. Celestine has a pair of ice wings she can summon from her Gem. These Gems also have construction jobs on colonies. They typically work alongside Lapis Lazulis, who use their powers to excavate Kindergardens. Celestines either froze or evaporated the excess water for later use once the Kindergarten was completed.

At some point, Celestine made an error in her job managing Earth's resources and was threatened by her manager, an overreacting Aquamarine, to be replaced. She couldn't be rejuvenated or harvested because she needed all of her documents of colonies, so her Aquamarine instead requested Blue that she be given a backup Gem as a warning. This was Blue Spinel. Blue Spinel was programmed to behave like Celestine, and replace her immediately if need be. She was also meant to record and report her behaviors to Aquamarine.

Celestine was both terrified of and hated her new little replacement snitch. Spinel had to follow her everywhere, which sometimes tested Celestine's temper. The feeling was mostly mutual. Spinel had been occasionally hit and threatened by Cryolite/Celestine, and would try not to interact closely with her. Though, Spinel had a rather calm demeanor and never retaliated.

The two Gems got sent back to the Earth Colony alongside a few Lapis Lazulis to build the Beta Kindergarten. When the corrupting light was being initiated, Celestine found an opportunity to ditch Spinel and they both took seperate ships back to Homeworld. But as they were leaving, Celestine shot at Spinel's ship and knocked it offline. She was on the ship while the Gems were corrupted.

And Spinel's been stuck in the ship for a couple thousand years, eventually giving up trying to fix it. It circled in a slow spiral pattern towards the planet before finally being sucked in and crashing.

She met the CGs and now lives in Little Homeworld or something, this most likely took place after the movie. She had nothing against Steven or the CGs aside from the fact that she had to fight in the war a little bit at some point, but it was all fine and dandy. She didn't cause any problems when she ended up on Earth.

I don't actually have a finished design for Celestine, but I expect she'd have snow colored hair in a sort of angel wing shaped bob, feathery looking shoulder pads, sorta pale bluish skin and a blue-gray dress/skirt. Sorta sharp white boots like Holly Blue. Her gem is on her naval like Spinel, and of course she's really tall.

MY THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 98!!!

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

And adding this to the pilot episodes, which are four in two episodes, we finally reached 100 episodes of Ninjagooooo!!! 🎊🎊🎊 YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 🎉🎉🎉

I can't believe we really achieved this, like, I remember getting interested because of that elevator gag with Jay in season 1, now look at this!!! 😍😍 I love this show, I love how much I have grown during it, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for it!

And after getting all hyped with this, let's get to the episode! 😎

I wanna start by saying that, back when I watched it, I really liked Day of the Departed, but I would've LOVED IT if it was a season. Like, it's clear that a lot could've been done, and it came out really freaking cool but not mindblowing (and I kinda expect that from my favorite show, not sorry 😙)

My opinion on March of the Oni is similar, I definitely enjoyed more than DotD because it was basically a season of four episodes, it's just that some parts went by a little fast.

But you're asking if I liked it, right?

OF COURSE I DID! ❤❤

And let me tell, with the amount of parts coming from pilots and first season, I can die happily 😆 That's what I love about Ninjago, even when I think it's not perfect, there are still moments that I fall in love with immediately!

For the start, Faith's story. I'm so sorry for the poor dragon hunters, can't even have the time to fully redeem themselves that darkness arises 😅

To be honest, when the ninja arrived and Wu was smiling at them like waiting for good news, I was too worried for Cole and was grieving like all of the ninja 😢 Then it reminded me of that one scene in Kung fu Panda with Shifu being all "ah yeah, I really need good news" with his messanger and it turns out it's fricking Tai Lung coming for him 😂😂

But yeah, that was heavy. And Garmy was still merciless with his brother, as much as with his wife (weird that I kinda enjoyed that part? He never went all bad against her, not even as Lord Garmadon. He is full beast now)

And oh man. WU'S REACTION.

One of his first pupil, the first leader of the team; not only that, Cole was always there when Wu turned into a baby and grew up, he basically became a second father for him in a weird but cute way. Can you imagine the grief? It would be really sad if he got to remember him being to affectionate with his infant version, singing for him 😭😭 (woa, fanfiction idea!)

Also Wu is getting so active in season 9 and 10 😊 And Faith is a queen 🖤

While we're at it, my idea is that Garmadon's doubts about his evilness are meaningful, but not for now. I like that they didn't push him into full redemption, it would've been too early. He clearly wants to know more about himself and his family. I think that the next adventure will be important for him, even if I still don't know how, maybe a full life-changing field trip (if so, my warlord, I have a half burnt prince from the Fire Nation to recommend 🔥)

... I did enough serious stuff for him, right? Well then...

... OKAY I CAN'T 😂😂😂😂

Like, I get the point and everything about him being almost full oni and stuff, but I can't look at his face 😂 I think it's the only part I really don't think it fits, the rest is pretty cool. I like the staff, looks all sorcery. They even used the design of the oni masks, nice touch.

Back to the monastery, everyone's scared, it might be the end, I actually liked the situation very much for the yang proposal. Jay stopped overthinking and went for it, it's hard for someone like him 😂

Now... let me tell you... how FREAKING nervewrecking... the last minutes of the episode... have been for me

First of all, the transition in black and soundless was so sudden that it got me thinking "okay this is new, got a weird feeling about it". Lloyd wakes up into such a heavenly beautiful place with a paradisiac great view. And I was already on what the frisk mode, because the others are gone and there's a beautiful golden dragon right there. And I freaking love those (I WANT ONE), so I got distracted.

Then a voice. Good Garmadon? I guess it could be, but why now and here? The heck?

Then of course I recognized him...

Because he still gives his back to the camera 😂 Also he freaking called him Lloyd MONTGOMERY Garmadon, I can't even 👏👏 This compensate the fact that I kinda wanted green bean to just go and call him granpa 😘

And while I thought it was super cool and over the top and reminded me again of Kung fu Panda, the third movie this time, I was still thinking from time to time:

"This looks like afterlife."

"The first Spinjitzu Master is gone."

"This can't be happening."

"This can't... can't..."

And after making sure to remind us that yes, first Spinjitzu Master-san is indeed Wu's dad, with his wise words because...

Back to the monastery. Guys are fine, Jaya is still beatiful and my poor sweetie flame got under a colomn thanks Cole I bet lavashippers appreciated

Then the worry. All of then running to him, checking, my flame so scared, "come on buddy, wake up". Wu following, he's the only hope, he can manage...

I sobbed. Like, I didn't even dare to look at the time, I was too scared. I just didn't want it to be real.

Gotta say, when it comes to grieving, Ninjago makes me feel the most. Jay stuttering, asking Wu to help him. Nya sobbing calling his name. Kai slowly shaking his head, so desperate, like it wasn't enough they lost Cole even if not for long, and then going to comfort Wu because Garmy is not his brother right now and he's not showing emotion at all (although he was backing off, I wonder if he was trying to keep the distance from such a strong scene)

... and then Lloyd came back

This is why I said I wanted a longer special/season, we had two beautiful moments of pure sadness, really impactful and intense, that could've been even stronger if we had more time to struggle. But you know what? I died inside twice, came back to life twice as well, and nobody died!! 😊 ... except the oni I guess. I think... they died, didn't they?

Well guys, this is it. I enjoyed, no matter how it could've gone as a full season or other formats, it's refreshing knowing that they still remember stuff from the very beginning (MONTGOMERY 🤣🤣🤣). I think we had a good ending for a good beginning to a new fragment of Ninjago, involving what, I have no idea 😅 Also I really appreciate what they did with my Kai, the hotheaded, cocky but selfless warrior that I love so much. Thanks a lot ❤❤

Guess we'll find out sooner or later what's in store for this show, for now I'm done! Thank you guys a lot for all the notes in the last post, you guys are amazing! 😁

Sorry To Bother You had a lot of interesting ideas, cool lighting and colors, some nicely set up framing, the costume design was fun, the design of the [spoilers] was kind of neat, but it desperately needed more editing to shorten it up and focus the plot. It was all over the place thematically and the pacing was bad.

Jokes dragged on for way too long, especially for a dark comedy where the surreal and upsetting aspects should be what's played for laughs more than dragging out a scene where two characters are dancing around being annoyed with each other. Just so much was dragged out to unnecessary lengths, meanwhile for the amount of movie that is there, it isn't clear enough in its purpose.

It didn't need so much focus on the middle managers, they should've been stepping stones for Cassius to rise to the top, they could've easily been reduced to a single character. We didn't need two scenes where he rides an elevator and they do the joke about the pin number being super long. Could've cut the scene where Cassius went in the VIP room at the bar. I also feel like the white voice and the [spoiler] should be for two different movies. The white voice puts the focus on race, but the [spoiler] and the focus on unions changes it to more class based and exploitation, but the movie then doesn't doesn't examine the race/class interplay past the characters verbally talking about race in a scene or two. It like doesn't link the two plotlines well at all.

Also the union leader trying to get with Cassius' girlfriend is such a pointless decision for the story, why would you undermine this character that represents the union by making him a douchebag adulterer who only wants health insurance at work because he has an STD, like what? If the direction of your story is pro union, I don't think that part can be played for laughs.

I was hoping for a payoff. There were times where I felt like it was building to something bigger, the picture he put up wherever he went, the football team was this recurring thing... Just a very distracted, disjointed movie. Kind of bummed about it because the conversation introducing the idea of the white voice is intriguing and the music whenever spoiler transformations were taking place reminded me of Us. But the big reveal happens and he's getting threatened with a gun except he's not and they're friendly and he gets to leave and warn others, all the momentum from the reveal just stops instantly. And then he goes on that stupid show where people get beat up so he can reveal to the world what's going on, so I guess that's the payoff for them showing that show over and over, he goes on it I guess. Every scene with that show should've cut it and he could've gotten the word out some other way. It doesn't really matter.

Make a movie about the white voice where it takes him over or he becomes corrupted by its power, it has a hypnotic quality and he can do whatever he wants, or the more he uses it the less sure he is that it's him speaking or maybe something speaking through him? Or cut out the white voice, he rises through the ranks of the business and sacrifices more of his friends and humanity to do it until he's at the top and he isn't phased by the spoilers because he's sold his soul too much, so we see how monstrous he's become by accepting the money, but one final thing is able to bring him back and question it. But doing both and struggling to make either impactful is disappointing.

I don't know, my thoughts aren't well organized but I only care because I think it had potential. I wanted to see where it was going, but tighter editing would've at least made the dual plots not feel quite so unwieldy. Simultaneously too much story to cover in one movie and not enough, they made the two plots super flat and didn't focus on either.

OPINION: What I Want From Princess Half-Demon As An Inuyasha Fan

  "As I live in this world, I know that things will continue to change, but I'm not worried about the future. I'm going to spend every day with Inuyasha. No matter what, now I know the two of us will be together, as we head toward tomorrow." Those were the last words spoken by Kagome Higurashi as she and Inuyasha looked out into the world, finally living peacefully after completing their long, tireless journey.

  Rumiko Takahashi's epic adventure came to an end after many wonderful episodes, and to me, this series had one of the most satisfying endings of an anime I'd seen. As a fan — and after spending years invested in this series, even waking up at 3 AM just to watch it — I was completely content with the conclusion. I didn't feel there needed to be more, but of course, if there was some sort of sequel, continuation, or spin-off, I sure as heck wouldn't be disappointed. And years later, that very thought is becoming a reality. There's already so much hype around the highly anticipated Inuyasha sequel spin-off Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, even sparking a large social media discourse. As a HUGE Inuyasha fan myself, I'm often wondering what I can expect and what I'd want to see in this series and if Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon will live up to Inuyasha's anime legacy?

  A New Feudal Fairytale

  From Viz Media, the synopsis for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is as follows:

  In Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time. Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.

  Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

  The official website for Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Zoushi recently shared a 90-second promotional video for the series.

    Seeing Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna is already making me emotional. Moroha is the spitting image of her parents, with a fiery personality just like her father, and seeing her with both her parents' abilities is just peak level excitement. Setsuna is straight-up Sesshomaru's daughter, and I'm already loving Towa's confidence, as well as the twin's opposite personalities and how their strengths and weaknesses will compliment each other. I'm also stoked to see everyone's demon strength and abilities during combat because Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna aren't your average demons!

  I'm excited to meet these next-generation characters, but I'd be lying if I said I'd be okay not having the original characters be a part of this story. Seeing as it wasn't until the very end of the last episode of Inuyasha: The Final Act we got to see the original characters have any chance at a normal life, I'd really love to see what a typical day in the life is post-Naraku.  As we've seen in the trailer, Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku continue to slay demons after the events of the last episode, which is to be expected, but I'm genuinely curious as to how they balance battling demons with being parents, especially if any of their jobs take them far away from the village for long periods of time.

  When it comes to relationships, I already know how the original characters made out, but one of the biggest questions on my mind is ... WHO IS THE TWINS' MOTHER? Considering Sesshomaru was never the most welcoming character, it makes me really curious about who was able to break down that barrier of his. I don't need an excessive amount of time dedicated to how Sesshomaru became a father — a single episode or even a nice little flashback scene will suffice — but the show can't just say, " Oh so Sesshomaru has twins now," and not let me know who, what, when, where and how this happened! I also need to know if the mother is human or not because again, that would be really telling of Sesshomaru's character. 

  And what about other characters like Shippo? I'm ready to see that full-fledged fox demon glow up! I feel so much excitement thinking about bringing back a classic series with new additions, and there's some cryptic information currently available at the time of this article I wasn't expecting that's making me even more anxious for this series like ... why is Moroha all alone!?

    Where are Inuyasha and Kagome?

One of the things I was looking forward to most was seeing Inuyasha, Kagome, and their daughter interact as a family, but something about Moroha's character biography struck me. According to her description, she lived alone since she was young, and because of that, she knows little about her parents. WAIT, WHAT?! We KNOW Moroha is Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, but it doesn't make sense to me she wouldn't know anything about them? I've heard theories Inuyasha and Kagome died, but I really don't like this idea. To me, it doesn't feel right having the two main characters, the ones I watched face incredible danger, going up against the strongest of enemies episode after episode, die suddenly from who knows what. It would be a huge disservice to Inuyasha and Kagome to write them off like that, and also ... it would just be a huge bummer, so I hope the series doesn't go that route. I don't know exactly where they are, but based on the love and support Inuyasha had from his mother and Kagome from her family, I know they wouldn't willingly neglect Moroha, and because of that, my hope of seeing this family interact at some point AND to experience some good anime parents remains strong because we really need more of those.

  Unlocking the Past

There's this mysterious element surrounding the original characters I wasn't expecting when Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon was announced, but now, after watching and analyzing the trailer a million times (as one does) I'm coming up with theories of how I think the series will intertwine the characters, bridging the gap between old and new generations and, truthfully, I'd be satisfied if any of this were true because I really like this idea. Here's my thought: the trailer explains there was the demon Root Head, who was defeated by Inuyasha and his friends. But soon after, the demon gained the power of the tree of ages creating a passage from the Feudal Era to the present day — which is how Towa was separated from Setsuna. We also know Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna begin an adventure to uncover their missing past. 

  The trailer made it a point to bring up Root Head and the tree of ages so I'm speculating the tree of ages opened up passages to not just the present day, but to other worlds as well, seeing as the tree of ages lives throughout different generations as explained by Kikyo in Inuyasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time, and maybe Inuyasha and Kagome were separated during that same period of time as Towa, and everyone's memories related to those lost in time were altered. It's quite possible the OG gang are now outsiders scattered between eras, and the only way to fix time is to put fate in the hands of the next generation. This would explain why the original characters are gone, from what I can tell, and why Moroha grew up alone because, again, I don't buy the theory Inuyasha and Kagome died. Seeing as when Towa was separated, she grew up in the present day with the Higurashi's, I'm sure they would've told her stories about Inuyasha, Kagome, and the Feudal Era — giving her insight into how the passages connecting eras works, becoming the key to their missing pasts. 

  The story as it is now is tough to decipher, and while I'm having fun coming up with these theories, my overall hope for this series is to get a healthy mixture of characters and storylines. Getting the opportunity to follow up on the original character's lives while also experiencing the adventures of their children without anyone's character development being sacrificed or neglected for the story's sake.

  Writing Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon

When it comes to the writing aspect of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, I find myself seeing something very positive. Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon appears to be an original anime TV series spinoff of Inuyasha. Because of that, it lends itself to more fluid storytelling with the unique opportunity to tell a full and complete story from the beginning, without prolonged pauses or filler episodes. I feel this is a rare treat when it comes to anime.

  Unfortunately, Rumiko Takahashi is only credited as the main character designer and doesn't appear to be involved in the story. When I hear news like that, it's easy to think this could be one of those typical anime patterns where there's potential for an anime series to go off the rails if the original author isn't involved. However, I'm not really worried seeing as Katsuyuki Sumisawa has returned for this project, and will be in charge of the series scripts just like on Inuyasha. Teruo Sato, Yoshihito Hishinuma, and Kaoru Wada are also returning to the series with SUNRISE continuing on as the production house. With a team and studio already familiar with the property, and who has previously handled with such care the show that has already brought me so much joy, I feel secure when it comes to the storytelling.

  KKAAGGOOMMEE!!! Who else just heard Inuyasha's voice ringing in your ears as you read that? I can't be the only one and man I do hope we get to hear that at least once more. I'm beyond excited for this new feudal fairytale and have confidence it will be a good balance between old and new. The only thing that can make it better is if Do As Infinity comes back to sing another theme song because let's be real, the second Inuyasha ending slaps!
