Summary: Chris and reader get their eyebrows pierced together for vlog.

A/n: guys ik this is bad im BEGGING FOR FEEDBACK PLSSS. Also I don’t see enough Chris fluff. Also this is kinda inspired by Tara yummy’s vid of her getting her eyebrow pierced I just borrowed a few things she’s said about her experience!

I woke up scared and excited I had mixed feelings about the events that were gonna happen in a few minutes. Chris and I were gonna get matching eyebrow piercings but I have a low pain tolerance. I have multiple ear piercings but I’ve passed out for some of them. It wasn’t that bad I’m just scared and excited about it.

Chris and I started getting ready I put on one of Chris’s fresh love hoodies still being able to smell his cologne and I also decided to throw on some black shorts. Today was a Tuesday which meant the triplets were going to film a vlog video. They decided to add Chris and I getting pierced into the vlog.

I was done getting ready so I decided to go into the kitchen of the triplets’ house and I was met with Nick already pointing a camera to my face. “Say hi to the vlog y/n!” I waved at the camera with a smile as I got a Dr Pepper from the fridge. The triplets and I were close especially because I was dating Chris but we were really close before that too. We hung out almost everyday except when they were busy filming and doing other stuff like meeting creators.

I had a platform of my own just not as big as theirs. I am happy with having a small following since people get hated on as a soon and they get a huge following and attention and I wouldn’t have the time to handle that.

“Are you guys ready” I hear from behind me as Matt plays with the keys in his hands. “Yeah I’ll be there in a second!” Chris yells

“So how are you feeling y/n?” Nick asks as he points the camera towards me. “Scared but excited since I’ve been thinking of getting this piercing for a long time and I’m also happy Chris is doing this with me, I have no idea how I convinced him”

“I’m surprised you were able to convince him tbh” Matt lets out with a giggle.

Timeskip

We were on our way to the piercing shop and the reality of what was happing finally set in. Nick was keeping the vlog updated as we were only 4 minutes away from the shop.

Matt pulled into the shop and Nick started vlogging and I waited for Chris to get out the car so I could hold his hand. I clung onto Chris’s side since I was nervous. “Don’t worry I’ll be there the whole time” Chris says. Hearing those words gives me all the comfort I need.

I was first up to get the piercing as Nick was recording and Chris was holding my hand and rubbing my thumb to comfort me. The piercer got all the stuff she needed. “Hi! My names Lily and I’m gonna be your piercer, I’m just gonna talk you through it okay!” She was so sweet and was making me less nervous I closed my eyes as she was feeling my eyebrow “okay breathe in and… out” I did as she said and the needle went through

“Wow you did it!!” Said Nick as he was giggling behind the camera “shut up it’s done??” I questioned since it felt like nothing. “Yeah you’re all done let me just put in your jewelry!” As soon as the jewelery was done I switched spots with Chris now holding his hand for support. Chris went through the same process ans Nick was recording everything up close. “Nick back up!” Chris said as he felt the camera close to his face. We giggled at his comment “Matt you should get a piercing too”

“No thank you my ears are enough” he said with a giggle.

We left the shop and decided to get something to eat since we haven’t eaten anything “we look so cool” I said to Chris as he agreed.

With Mama Emma AUs, especially if there's a timeskip to her becoming a mom with the focus on her being broken by the farm system, it feels like an exercise in excessive sadness and despair and the tragedy of abusive cycles for the sake of seeing just how sad one can make oneself, without any additional nuance to make it worthwhile for me. --- #my Norman fic is literally him being a Ratri so can’t choose that one !! #I also hate Mama Emma au’s because lord would she rather die than do that #yes #yes she would #but Emma Ratri AU takes the cake I am raising my brows at you . Isabella's orphenage ship 6 children by year, so 6 new kids must be given to her.

There are 5/6 orphenages for Grace Field. So 30/36 children shipped by year and 30/36 new given to the orphenage. EVERY YEAR. So even if it's sure that the Sisters gave birth of more than one child (only the Mother can have only on).

Because if 30/36 children must be given by year to orphenages, 30/36 must waiting their turn in the nursery and as much sister must be pregnant. I think that every sister has the right to take a break after a pregnacy.

For Exemple if Sienna is the mother of both Emma and Carol, seen there are more or less 10 years between them, it probably mean that there had at least one kid between them. Maybe more.

So i think that, even if the selection is rude, a lot of girls survives. Because if they need 30/36 new babies by years...

And it's just Grace Field. It must be worse at Great Vallley (especially that Barton must have took a lot of children for his huting ground)

I'm not sure where you're getting all moms having only one child being common from?

Isabella is an anomaly when it comes to moms in that she's the youngest one to ever be selected in the history of at least the current incarnation of Grace Field that's been around for roughly 400 years.

(Mystic Code Book Chapter 1 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 181.2 | Chapter 181.3) Her excellent test scores at the farm and later at headquarters combined with favoritism from Sarah led to her placement being expedited. With there being an extremely limited number of mom positions, most sisters (because they're all sisters first, Isabella being the exception and not the rule) are left waiting for years, and this is what results in them having multiple children if they don't retrain for another path, not that moms are limited to having a single child. If anything, you'd think they'd want more children bred from those who reach that position, so the time spent waiting for spots to open up would be beneficial for the demons. Sarah had enough sway to persuade those in charge to get a recent graduate of the sister training in there, though, so Isabella was able to skip to the front of the wait list.

And it's confirmed there's five plants plus headquarters for Grace Field.

Enough of a thrill to entice Bayon to take Peter's offer, not enough between the 18 farms he supervised or was in charge of to give unaware staff pause to want to stick their noses into noble business because the yield between them was vast enough to make it negligible.

usually, university halloween is packed with parties and drinking. but, not for you.

this year, you have to work. not only that, but you have a huge mid-term project and a few exams in the following days. the last thing you want to do is stay out late doing who knows what, with who knows who.

thankfully, you aren't the only one.

working in the library had its perks, that's for sure. a near-silent working environment, very little responsibility, and only answering the occasional question. most of your job is just checking out books and returning them to their homes on the shelves.

the best part of your job though, is seeing tsukishima every week day.

this semester you've worked mostly in the evenings until close, meaning every night it's just you and the few students finding solace in the confines of the library walls. tonight isn't any different. you've been sitting at the front desk, working on homework of your own here and there. studying for midterms has consumed most of your evening, and before you know it it's close to 11 pm: when the library finally closes its doors.

you sigh and stand up, stretching a little bit and feeling the effects that sitting for the past few hours have had on your body. you begin to walk around the library, doing your final checks to see if there are any lingering students left to warn them of closing time. each row is as empty as the others, and you begin to wonder if for the first time you truly are the only person here.

until you see him.

tsukishima sits at the same table, in the same chair, in the same part of the library every single time he comes here. as usual, he has his laptop, notebooks, 2 pens, phone, and water bottle set up around him on the table. you click your tongue and he looks up at you, eyes just as tired as yours.

"this is your-"

"fifteen minute warning, library closes at 11:00. i know, i know." he says, voice full of sarcasm as he imitates you. but you know there isn't any malice to it. he sighs and continues to type on his laptop, as if you weren't even there.

"why do i even bother?" you tease, voice just as friendly as his. when you walk away though, you see him start to pack up his things.

the next few minutes are spent double checking the book carts, locking the windows, wiping down the counters, and packing up your own belongings. right at 10:55, tsukishima walks up to the front desk.

"hope i didn't keep you late on halloween. im sure you hoped you wouldn't see me," he smirks at you, hands wrapped around the straps of his backpack.

"why is that?" you mumble, eyes fixed on the school computer as you log out for the night.

"i'm sure you would have loved to get out of here early, especially on halloween. if i didn't show up you probably could have."

flicking off the lights behind you, you let out an airy laugh. "i'm not authorized to shut down the library early. with or without you in it."

tsukishima holds the door open for you, watching you walk through before you lock the doors, pulling on them for good measure. you hiss as the cold air hits your face, lips turning into a frown.

"since you worked, im assuming there aren't any crazy halloween activities on your to do list?" he looks down at you, suppressing a smile as you dig around in your pockets for your bus pass.

"no," you start, letting out a sigh of relief when your fingertips feel the plastic in your coat pocket. "unfortunately for me, i have a midterm tomorrow. what about you, tsukki?" you give him a teasing smile, laughing as he rolls his eyes at the nickname. he shrugs.

"it's just another day. besides, i would rather get work done than get fucked up on a monday night," his comment earns a snort from you, shaking your head as the two of you walk through campus to the bus stop.

your relationship with tsukishima is funny. you met him a few months ago while working in the library. you helped him connect to one of the printers, after you watched him struggle with it on his own for 10 minutes. ever since then, you've stopped to talk to him each day he studies. you know he plays volleyball, you know he works at a museum a few days a week, and you know where he's from. you aren't totally sure of his first name, but you know it starts with a "k" after you caught a glance of his ID one night. you know he has a friend, a sweet boy named yamaguchi who studies with him from time to time. and sometimes, just like tonight, the two of you ride the bus together to the student apartments.

you also know he’s incredibly attractive.

"so you're just boring," you quip as the two of you reach the bus stop, looking up at him with a grin as you sit on one of the benches. he joins you, smirking to himself at how flustered you get when he sits a little closer than normal, knees almost touching.

"i wouldn't call it boring. i would call it responsible, productive even."

you hum, squinting down the street as you see the bus approaching.

"well then, what are you going to do tonight?"

"let's see," he murmurs and pulls out his phone. scrolling through the notifications on his screen, his lip is pulled between his teeth. another habit you've noticed. "it looks like tadashi is busy," he watches your brows furrow. "yamaguchi, i mean." you nod, standing up as the bus slows to a stop. "if he's busy, that means i don't have any plans."

tsukishima steps to the side, allowing you to walk on the bus first. you sit down and he sits next to you. his excuse is that the other seats are taken. sure, he could stand. but he thinks you're pretty cute. he could spend his time studying literally anywhere else. and he wouldn't tell you, but he actually hates the library. it's too cold and the wifi isn't as strong in there.

the pretty librarian makes it worth it.

maybe it's because you're exhausted, or overly stressed, or both. those are the only reasons you would do this.

"do you want to come over?" your voice shakes slightly, nerves taking over more and more with each word. “i know you aren’t a fan, but we could study and maybe play a halloween movie in the back ground,”

tsukishima's heart races. he never, ever, thought you would ask him to hang out first.

"s-sure," he stutters, staring at his phone in an attempt to look unbothered. the bus stops with a lurch forward, copying both of your stomachs.

"um, just follow me i guess," you laugh nervously, and tsukishima just wants to hold your hand, touch your face, something. anything to get a little bit closer to you. but for now he follows behind you to your apartment. when you unlock it and welcome him in, he isn't sure what to do with himself. the intimacy of it all, seeing your own space and everything that makes you, you is overwhelming. the smell of clean clothes, a fall candle that he can't quite put his finger on, and-

"peppermint tea?"

you turn around with pure confusion written on your face.

"huh?"

he could slap himself, mortified that he said that out loud. he toes off his shoes, pushing them to the side as he sets his backpack next to them.

"i just smelled it, that's all. it smells nice," his voice is quiet, embarrassment and nerves to blame.

"oh! yeah, i just got it actually. would you like some?" you turn over your shoulder as you reach for your kettle. he nods and pulls out his laptop.

"that would be great, if you don't mind. thank you," he fidgets with his glasses, pushing them up his nose. you start to fill up the kettle, smiling at his politeness. who would have thought the snarky, aloof man that sits in the library for hours would be such a softie?

"you can sit on the couch if you would like, or the table, or the floor," you ramble on, scared that if you say the wrong thing he will just get up and leave. which of course is far from the truth, but you wouldn't know that.

"couch is fine," he replies, plopping down and flipping his laptop open. you bring over some mugs, tea bags already resting at the bottom of them. honey and sugar are placed beside them, everything ready for when the water heats up. tsukishima thinks it's sweet, how much you're doing for him.

"so," you sit next to him, a full body length away. much different than how you two were on the bus only minutes earlier. "what are you working on?"

"right now, just editing a paper. i was hoping to finish it earlier, but some girl kicked me out of the library."

you snort, setting your laptop on the coffee table. you open your notebook and pull out a pen, ready to finish up your notes.

"studying?"

you nod, lips pulling into a shy smile. "yeah, for my exam tomorrow. i just need to transfer these to my notecard," you wave the notecard back and forth. "not that it will help me any,"

tsukishima types away, eyes fixed on the screen. but, he can't help but ask. plus, he can't stop stealing glances at the way you chew the tip of your pen. he's dying to see if your lips are as soft as they look.

"why do you say that?"

you groan. "cause honestly i don't know shit about this subject, let alone anything we've studied so far. besides, i-oh shit," you're cut off by your pen flying out of your hand and into the cracks of the couch cushions. you start feeling around for it, growing frustrated quickly.

"do you only have one pen?"

"well no," you huff, digging around for it. tsukishima sighs and turns to face you, giving in to help you. the more you search, the closer you get to him, you're unaware that he's right in front of you until his fingers brush yours.

"oh," you breathe. when you look up you're face to face with the boy that makes you excited to come to work. his heavy-lidded eyes are staring at your lips, cool breath tickling your cheeks. you copy him after a couple seconds, eyes flicking down to his lips, right as he wets them with his tongue.

the hand that was on top of yours reaches up, his pointer finger tilts your chin up, and he leans in even closer.

"you should be more prepared," he breathes, fighting his instincts to lean forward and press your lips to his.

"should i?" you whisper back. he hums, and with one last glance to your lips, leans in. weeks of tension are finally about to snap, melting away on your lips.

right before you two connect, a sharp whistle from the kettle cuts through the air. the two of you jump, pushing back from each other. tsukishima's cheeks are dusted pink, lips slightly parted and his glasses have slipped down his nose slightly. you're not any better; cheeks warm, pupils blown, and heart racing.

"s-sorry, let me grab that," you scramble out of your seat and shuffle to the stove, taking the kettle off as quick as you can.

tsukishima tries to calm his breath back down before you come over. he can't think straight. adrenaline is pumping through his veins. he feel so intoxicated, and he hasn't even kissed you yet. let alone hugged you, or held hands, or-

"tsukishima? did you still want some tea?"

he focuses once more and blinks up at you, holding the kettle carefully, giving him a nervous grin.

"y-yeah i would love some, please," he breathes, taking off his rub his eyes a little in hopes of clearing his mind. you pour some water in each mug before returning to the kitchen. tsukishima wakes his computer up once more in hopes that he can finish this paper and get to bed at a decent hour.

meanwhile, you're stalling in the kitchen as long as you can. you don't want to sit down. you wish the kettle never went off. who knows what you would be doing right now. you want more of him, you want to ignore homework and talk for hours with him.

"tsukishima, what's your name?"

"didn't you just say it?"

his snarky comment is almost comforting, helping you to feel a little more at ease with his much more normal behavior.

"you know what i mean. what's your first name? i know it starts with a ‘k’. you know mine, so it's only fair that i know yours," you explain, toeing on your slippers before sinking into the couch.

"you wear a name tag, of course i know your name."

you huff and pull your notes out once more.

"it's kei," he turns to face you.

"kei," you repeat back. tsukishima could scream right now. he knows that he's impatient, he knows that he tends to have a shorter fuse. but this? this is torture.

"could i get a glass of water?" he stands up and looks towards the kitchen, desperately hoping that you come with him.

"oh, yeah! let me show you where it is," you stand up and follow him into the kitchen, about to reach your arm out to point towards the cupboard of cups when he grabs your hand, pulling you towards him. you gasp, and before you can form the words he pulls you in, pushing his lips against yours. you feel like melting, lips moving together perfectly, the softness of his kiss versus the harshness of his movements making you dizzy. you pull away to catch your breath, and when you look up you're met with a very needy tsukishima. pupils blown wide, glasses tilted slightly, hair sticking out in places where your hands had just been.

"kei-"

"how much do you care about that test?" he breathes, taking his glasses off and placing them on the counter behind you.

"n-not as much as my others i guess, but-"

"great," he whispers, picking you up and placing you on the counter and pushing your legs apart so he can stand in between them. you squeal at the sudden movement, feeling dizzy once more at how easily he lifted you onto the counter.

"cause i don't give a fuck about my paper either," he whispers against your jaw, reveling in the small gasp he gets out of you at the action. "i can't seem to focus on anything,"

you slide your arms down his biceps, distracted by the sound of your heart thumping in your ears. you have never felt this way, felt this electric from a simple kiss. you look into his eyes once more and lean up to where your lips barely meet.

wanted to "redesign" twilights finale appearance... some explanations and stuff under the cut ^_^

her finale design is sooooo bad oh mein gott. especially compared to the other mane 6, who all have designs that do speak as "x character matured", twilights is obvi just like. a celestia reskin.So i wanted to change that

since its implied a huge timeskip i like to think shes a lot more settled into her role as ruler but still has her quirks. i think her canon finale design speaks more to "im new to this role, i need to replicate my teacher celestia as much as i can". i feel like at this point in time shed come more into her own - its ok that she doesnt always have some celestial flowing mane, shes just her.

i wanted to also though still keep some aspects of the people she looks up to - celestia and luna. i cant rlly explain how it turned up in the final design i made since i dont think it rlly shows but as i was drawing this i was thinking a lot about how shed do her best to embody the best aspects of the two sisters.

i also think twi would try her best to be more approachable to citizens. celestia was literally a god figure, and i think twilight is trying to replicate aspects of that in the finale design, but with her whole friendship is magic thing i think in order to be closer to her citizens shed . well. Relinquish a lot of the riches thatd be given to her as ruler. or maybe thats just some commie projecting. Or maybe, based on her living in ponyville for 99% of the show, shed be a lot more comfortable with a more quiet lifestyle. i wonder if shed turn the castle into a museum, and use some of the rooms just as formalities when meeting with other royalty? idk. now im rambling. thanks for reading this far!

He interrogated whilst trying to catch up with you. "Why do you need to know?" You scoffed and rolled your eyes at him whilst scrolling on your phone. "Tch, i'm just asking you loser." He ridiculed whilst slightly kicking ams ran off. "That.. bitch.." You grumbled to yourself.

It was 5:00PM.

You entered your home, you greeted your parents, you came to your room, and flopped onto your bed sighing. "ugh.. im so tired.." you complained to yourself. You then her a lot of notifications spamming on your phone. You took your phone out. "Huh? A group chat?" You questioned.

YOU ROLLED YOUR EYES AT AKITO’S MESSAGE, AND PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY.

TIMESKIP

It was finally the day! You got up, and got ready, you were wearing casual outfit. But now, it's camping time with 4 good people and 1 weirdo. You said your greetings to your parents, and went off the meet up in the cafe. You saw An, Kohane and.. Akito. You waved at them. "Hey An and Kohane!" You smiled and waved at them, purposely ignoring Akito. "Heya!" An chuckled. Akito than grabbed your wrist, "I'm right here you know?" He scoffed as he looked down at you, observing you, making his face glow pink for a second. “What the-" You were too shocked to move your wrist away from him. "Uh. Sorry." He realized what he did, and let you go, looking away whilst he puts his hand through his hair.

You were so confused, you looked at the girls with a confused gesture, they gave you a shrug back. After a while, Toya and Tsukasa came. You all looked at Tsukasa with a horrid look. "What.. are you wearing.." Akito looked at Tsukasa with disgust. "Tsukasa.. Why are you carrying a huge bag?!" Kohane trembled. "Huh? It's the tents!" He looked at Kohane confused and then chuckled. "CAN WE JUST GET GOING? IM TO EXICTED!" An squealed whilst attacking Kohane with a hug. You all agreed to go, and went off.

TIMEKSKIP

You all arrived at the campsite. It seems like you were the only people there. "Wow! We're the only ones! We're lucky!" An snickered to herself. "Well.. let's get ready!" Tsukasa put his bag out, as he got the tents out. You all looked horrified at the tents. "Uh.. Tsukasa? Why'd you bring only 3 small tents..?" You questioned as you nervously laughed. "Oh! 2 people are going to share one tent!" He smiled cluelessly as he put arms on his hips.

"Wait what." You all said at the same time. "Well.. im sharing with Kohane~!!" An squeezed Kohane with hug whilst snuggling with her. "My father said i have to be Tsukasa, is that fine with you Akito?" Toya apologized as he looked down. "Yeah it's fine." Akito reassured him. You then realized the most horrendous thought. "What. Wait i don't wanna share a tent with him." "You're acting like you're the only thinking that! Tch." He scoffed as he crossed his arms sighing with disgust. You said with utter fear. "Oh.. theres not enough room in our tent.." Kohane frowned. "Stop complaining! It's just 2 nights.." An frowned as she face palmed herself.

Night approached, you weren't prepared to share a tent with the most annoying guy on the planet. You went to collect wood with An and Kohane, the 3 you recently just came back. You had to go in your tent, but you realized he'd be there. You entered the tent, to see you the guy on his phone, scrolling on whatever he was on. You scoffed and rolled your eyes. As you were about to leave, you said to him. "Hey, uh. We're going to roast marshmallows now, you gonna come?" You interfered the silence. He looked up at you. "Yeah. I am." Akito sighed replying back to you.

You left the tent and saw the others. Tsukasa greeted you with a stick and marshmallow, you saw down on the log near the fireplace, Akito then came out the tent, he looked down at you and snatched your marshmallow from you. "Hey?! The heck? Give it back!" You got up from your sit, trying to reach for it whilst he sticks it out to the sky. "Hah, you can't react it~!" Akito teased and laughed at you. "Fine. I'll just take yours!" You grinned as you backed up towards Tsukasa, asking him for Akito's one. "Hey- What the-" He looked at you with shock. "Guys, let's tell scary stories!" Tsukasa yelled. "Huh. Do.. do we have too?" An trembled. "I don't mind, isn't that what you do at campfires?" Toya smiled. You all eventually got An to agree, and then you were all of telling scary stories.

TIMESKIP : 10:00PM

You all decided to go to bed, you all went inside the tents, you and Akito however was complaining about each other. "Ugh whatever, i'm going to bed." Akito went inside his sleeping bag, as he looked the other way. "Finally." You rolled your eyes and turned the opposite way of him.

2 hours went by, and you couldn't go to sleep, you had the urge to go stargazing. So you quietly got up, tied your hair, did your shoe laces. As you were about to leave, Akito grabbed your wrist, making your heart drop. You slowly turned around, to see him sitting up from his bed. "The hell you're going?!" He whispered whilst looking grumpy. "None of your business! Now let go." You pouted. "I'm going to wherever you're going." Akito got up, let go of your wrist, putting his jacket on. "W-what?!" You were shocked to even answer. "Ugh, whatever i'm gonna go now." You rolled your eyes and left the tent. "W-wait up!" Akito whispered.

You went down a slope carefully. "H-hey be careful." Akito mumbled softly. "I am.." You scoffed. You then went down, with Akito following you. to see a shallow lake. You sat down aside it, then looked up, to see the sky filled with stars. Your eyes glistened, you've never seen this many stars before. "Woah.." You looked amazed. Akito was admiring how cute you looked, but he obviously didn't say anything. "Pff. Stargazing? Seriously?!" Akito grumbled. "Shut up! Why'd you even follow me in the first place?" You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms. "...I just wanted to make sure you're safe." Akito looked the other way, covering his face whilst he get embarrassed.

"—!?" You looked at him with shock. "Since when did you care about me?" You scoffed. "Just because we hate each other, doesn't mean i don't care for you." He mumbled. "Don't you admire me when im singing?" Akito smirked whilst questioning you. "Yeah.. but that's different, you idiot." You sighed. “Oh?" “Oh?" Akito smirked.

"Please shut up." You got up carelessly. "Hey be careful!" Akito got up. "I am carefu—" You suddenly then slip on a rock, causing you to fall backwards. Akito then catches you into his arm. "...thanks.." You mumbled. "No problem shorty." Akito grinned whilst pinching your cheek. "The hell?!" You grabbed his hand, trying to make him let go. "I'm going to go back, it's too cold." You sighed as you were walking away. "Wait, i wanna continue this night with you." He took off his jacket, handing it over to you, whilst a pink tint glows on yours and his cheeks. "Uh, thanks?" You took it and wore it.

You were walking aside the lake, talking about your guys's childhoods. "Uh.. N/N.." Akito nervously said whilst avoiding eye contact with you. "Hm? What's up?" You looked up at him, concerned. "Do.. do you actually hate me?" His face saddens a little whilst he nervously blushes.

“No.." You sighed. "N/N, i don't hate you as well." Akito said, "I.. kinda love you than hate. You make me feel so.." He stopped walking as he looked down, blushing intensely. "H-huh?!" You blushed crazily with shock. "You.. you like me?!" You looked at him with shock. He then walked up to you, grabbing your wrist and pulling you for a kiss. You kissed him back. "I've never hated you dummy.." You hugged him as you looked the other way. He then kisses your head and hugs you back.

You guys started to date secretly, you didn't want the others to find out, it'd have been to complex to explain what happened between you guys. But he was finally relieved that he'd finally opened up to you. You were also relieved, you always loved him, but you just thought that he hated you, which made you think that you should hate him. But now you guys finally are official. ♡

↮ a legs lover. there’s something about them he’s really enamored by. a bonus if you’re shorter than him, and an even bigger bonus if you’re taller than him (if you’re much taller than him since he’s 5′7 in the timeskip, I think) then he’ll pass tf out) he LOVES it when you wear stockings or fishnets, and he loves the way the material contours the shape of your legs. he’ll stare at them a lot, and he will be embarrassed if you catch him, and even more so when the team catches him. please reassure him that it’s fine.

↮ loves your chest, regardless of size (but if you must insist, he leans towards bigger sets) is it a thing connecting to milk? he doesn’t really know to be honest. kageyama really loves taking naps on your chest, because he falls asleep pretty fast when he takes naps on your chest. he won’t touch them because he’s a lil hesitant, but he’ll just.. rest his hand on there, and admire the softness. (will suckle on them if you’ll let him. is it a milk thing? again, we don’t know)

↮ your lower back is his favorite. it’s not so common as “breasts” or “ass” but, he has good reasoning behind his favorite! in general, he loves his face, but he loves just laying his hand on your lower back. there’s just something about looking at you from behind that makes his heart pound 10x faster. oh and, he really loves putting kisses on there, because every time your back will be towards him in your shared room, he’ll catch a glimpse of those little bite marks. he’s smug, and he’s very proud of them, especially because you can only see them.

↮ he’s stuck between hands, tiddies and neck, but for the sake of this post- we’ll settle for hands. they’re so much smaller than his?? like.. he wonders how that’s possible, and he’ll probably tease you about it. (uh.. how can someone’s hands be that long? tf tsuki) it’s canon that he fiddles with his fingers when nervous, so when he’s with you- he’ll fiddle with your fingers instead. he also finds himself playing with your fingers, memorizing all of the details of your fingers. if you offer to put on bandages on his fingers whenever he gets hurt or something similar, he’ll get very bashful. but please do that!! he loves that a lot. with tiddies, his preference is definitely on the smaller side ngl

↮ collarbones to him are  ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚ “mwah.” so elegant, so beautiful. how did this happen? well- he was doing work one day (like the rich man he is) and you sit on his lap per usual- but !! your collarbones were all up in his face. he’ll get very red, and lose focus, so give him a heads up. wear shirts that show off your collarbones, and he’ll stare hard. so yeah. he loves resting his face on them, and he’ll occasionally give you kisses, ranging from cute lil ones, to the wet open mouth kisses. 

yaku morisuke

↮ yaku likes short hair, i repeat- he likes short hair. therefore!! his favorite part would be your upperback/neck. it really depends if you’re taller than him or shorter than him. tbh idk how tall that man is in the timeskip (but he sexy af) but he always loves resting his hand on your upperback, regardless if you have long hair or short hair. if you’re shorter than him, he’ll pull you in for a hug with a hand on your upperback, and if you’re taller— he’ll rest his head on your shoulder, hand loosely hung around your back.

↮ this man screams legs man. like.. i also don’t really have much evidence to back this up, but this man has this weird attraction to your legs. he’ll probably make you walks in front of him so he can take a good stare at your legs. doesn’t matter if they’re long, skinny legs— or short ones! he just adores legs. lev is really tall so.. please put your legs on him, he’ll be in heaven. his preference definitely leans on long legs though.. he just really likes them :)

↮ uh ok.. i had a difficult time with deciding with this one tbh, but this man loves your waist. at first, i thought he was a tiddies man, which.. i feel like he is? but not that much of a tiddies man compared to being a waist man. his favorite way to greet you is to hug you from behind, hands resting on your waist as he inhales your scent. he’ll probably bite the soft skin on your waist as a way to tease you, that is.. if you allow him lol

↮ man is a collarbone man, change my mind. again, i partially feel like he also loves thighs and ass but look!! collarbones. he loves seeing them when you wear baggy clothes, unintentionally showing off your collarbones to him. his mind goes haywire at the sight. loves putting kisses on your collarbones, occasionally putting hickies there— but he also doesn’t wanna inflict pain on your collarbones so.. hickies are not a common thing. but don’t worry! he has a lot of ways to show you his love for collarbones.

↮ definitely a collarbone/hands type of guy. he has a strong affixiation towards them, it came to the point that even bokuto noticed that he had some sort of attachment to them. he just loves admiring collarbones, especially if they’re adorn with shiny necklaces, or just anything that’ll make them look amazing. as for hands, he loves playing with the tip of your fingers— tracing from your wrists, to the back of your hands, to your fingertips.

↮ thighs :)) his preference is “the bigger, the better” and it’s literally canon too. he doesn’t mind smaller thighs, but he’s such a sucker of huge thighs. i guess it’s because he has thick thighs himself so that’s why bigger girls gravitate towards him. there’s always a hand on your thigh if you sit on his lap, and before games, he finds himself patting your thighs for good luck (he’ll never smack them because man’s highkey gonna leave marks on you)

↮ thighs. thighs. thighs. man absolutely loves them, more so if they’re a little bit on the thicker side, but obviously— if this man loves you, he’ll love all of you. head really empty, and it’s just him gripping on your thighs while he drives the car, practically having a vice grip on your poor thighs— but it’s okay, because he’ll rub the irritated spot with a gentle touch, his baritone voice apologizing to you. not really big on words, but.. he’ll stare at your thighs a lot.

↮ has a thing for your hips. hm tbh, i was stuck between him having a thing for your neck and thighs— but he absolutely loves hips, just as any other intellectual. he loves squishing the plump flesh between his skinny fingers, and he also loves tapping on them while you stand infront of him doing.. with small hips, he still likes holding on then. okay but,, he also really loves hip dips. even he can’t explain it, he’ll just repeat him— telling you he loves hip dips. he really loves the silhoutte of them. so yeah, if you’re insecure, he’ll punt your insecurities until they rot :)

↮ he admires your hands, it’s just that.. they feel so much softer than his, and the size difference between your hand and his hand makes his mind go haywire, his heart pounding against his chest. his hands are still in top shape, but over the years— they definitely roughened a bit due to practicing guitar and other instruments for his band, so his heart will definitely swoon if you put lotion on them. he’s also the type that would kiss the back of your hand before gigs for good luck, only to kiss them after his shows, saying he did well because of you :)

↮ a thighs man for sure. the bigger thighs the better, it’s just his preference. not saying he hates small thighs though— thighs will be thighs. however!! his preference just loves squishy thighs. if you were to squeeze them around his head— he’d surely die a happy man. doesn’t care where y’all are and who you guys are with, he’s 100% going to put his hand on your thigh. if you decide to wear clothes revealing your thighs, or just.. tight fitted jeans or leggings, expect him to squeeze the soft flesh that’s there. he’ll definitely make a remark about how your thighs expand like crazy when you sit down, but he doesn’t mean it in a insulting way. he actually really loves it.

↮ he loves everything about you, so it really takes him a while to actually settle on something. one day— he’ll be touching your thighs, another day he’ll be holding your waist, then another day, he has his hand gliding over your collarbones. eventually, he settles on favoriting your hands, because he can hold them regardless of the setting. he can kiss them, hold them, and intertwin his fingers all he likes.

Hellooooo Armin Anon. OMG it’s been forever since I had the time to sit down and do a proper meta, and I apologize.

First off, I finished the manga!!! (So, spoilers ahead for anyone else reading this.) I had to lie down after reading 139. It’s a tremendous story and I’m still taking it all in. The set pieces and personal/emotional stakes of everything that happens is just astounding. If it’s one thing Isayama does good, it’s the gut-wrenching personal anguish that underlies the action. I’m absolutely floored. My favorite bit was probably the timey-wimey stuff in Paths and Eren. That blew my freaking mind. But onto Mikasa!!

A Cruel Yet Beautiful World

I remember way back when I started the anime that I started liking Mikasa first out of the group. I liked how sullenly silent and no-nonsense she was, and I liked her loyalty to Eren. Her emotion, especially when Eren died in Trost, was palpable and terrifyingly beautiful. Her grief was incredibly realistic––rushing off with a death wish that even she couldn’t succumb to in the end, because of the drive to fight that she got from Eren. In a world like SNK, her relentlessness breaking through her grief was incredibly moving. And her philosophy is basically the driving theme of SNK: “This is a cruel world, and yet so beautiful.”

This is the same moral message she gives Eren when he can’t find the strength in him to fight Annie––and gives him that warm, understanding, inscrutable smile that allows him to finally accept his own monsters, fight Annie, and save her and Armin. (One of my favorite panels of her from the manga, actually.) Mikasa is basically the first character we meet who embodies this contradictory morality, which grows to engulf SNK and other characters as well (Levi, Reiner, and Armin especially come to mind). Which could be why I was drawn to her at the start, since the complex moral outlook of SNK was the primary reason I fell hard for this story.

(And gosh, it’s tragic to realize that it’s teaching moments like the scene above that made Eren into the person who could influence his own child self to murder, the person who could wipe out so much of humanity, the person who could take Ymir’s challenge to free her by destroying the love of the person who cared the most about him. I’m still processing yo.)

Acker-parallels

I started really analyzing Mikasa when I had to defend her from a friend of mine who accused her of resenting Levi (for beating up Eren) and that’s why she attacked him so violently in the RTS serumbowl. Because of my research into rebutting that, a lot of my affection for Mikasa now comes in seeing the little ways in which she cares and trusts other people, including Armin, Levi, Gabi, and Jean. And her quiet sensibility that goes beyond her love and protectiveness of Eren.

With Levi in particular, I find a lot I like about her. Because you can definitely see her annoyance at him, but she also trusts him more than anyone else in the Corps outside of Armin. After Levi’s violent encounter with Historia, she was the only one who implicitly trusted Levi’s judgement, backing up Armin’s more reasoned logic. She sees beyond her own emotions and even moral feelings and realizes the world is cruel enough that sometimes people have to do dark things to help others and survive.

This is very much the same statement Levi made to the 104th when he had asked them to follow Erwin’s orders when the commander’s plans were questionable on the surface: “Do you trust him? Those dumb enough to say yes… come with me.” These two understand each other on a moral level, and they ask for their comrades’ loyalty without demanding it, because they each know that everyone’s conscience is their own.

There’s a clear parallel between Mikasa and Levi, not only because of their Ackerman heritage and sensibilities (loyal to a fault to their chosen person, impossibly strong, quiet and grim), but their frustration when they cannot protect the people they are responsible for. They both know they are the strongest around, and if they cannot fulfill on that power, a lot of people will die.

There are many moments in which Mikasa puts aside her personal feelings to do her soldierly duty, from leaving Eren to help with the evacuation of Trost to leaving Eren and Armin to fight the Colossal Titan alone in Shigonshina.

And then there’s the fact that Levi’s the one who could break past Mikasa’s headspace and distraction so that she can do the right thing. He understands her strong emotion, he respects it, but he also knows when that has to be put aside for the greater good. But he doesn’t put her down for having those emotions, either.

Strength from Eren, Humanity from Armin

Mikasa’s love and loyalty to Eren challenges her tremendously after the timeskip and her sorrow at Eren’s change is what really stands out to me about her character in the Marley arc. The absolute grief in her eyes when she tells Eren what he’s done is devastating, and it shows just how much goodness and compassion she does have.

And yet she longs to understand Eren, to trust him, to believe there can be something redeeming, and not merely jaded and tired, in what he taught her so many years ago––to fight, to win, to live.

There’s such a difference between these same words said here by Mikasa, so many years later, after so much heartbreak, to the anger and flame that were in them when she first heard them, back when she realized that this was the way of the world. That death and killing happens in the natural world everyday and that’s how you survive. That the world is both cruel and beautiful.

And yet as the years wore on, as Mikasa grew closer to others, found purpose in protecting others, sought a life with Eren… as she wandered further into the forest of life and society and relationships, she lost some of that simple injunction... to live is to fight, to fight is to win. She, like so many of the 104th and the others on this journey, found that it’s not enough to just fight and live and be satisfied. We really want it all to mean something, to have our actions be redemptive. To allow ourselves to believe that we do what we’re doing because we’re not just saving ourselves, but saving others, “saving the world” like Yelena points out (in the forest therapy session pfff). And it’s that drive for something bigger in our actions that grieves her so much with Eren, because as she wants her own actions to be fundamentally good and selfless, she wants his actions to be moral as well.

So while Eren is the person that frustrates Mikasa and motivates her to become stronger and braver than she ever was, Armin is the person who humanizes Mikasa and allows her the space to be gentle and vulnerable. She comforts Armin, confides in him, puts her faith in him, and puts her life in his hands.

She trusts Armin with Eren, and she values Armin’s intellect and compassion, qualities she doesn’t have in nearly as much quantities as he does: “There are only so many lives I can value. And… I decided who those people were six years ago. So... you shouldn’t try to ask for my pity. Because right now, I don’t have time to spare or room in my heart.”

This bit from her confrontation with Ymir and Historia was a defining moment for me with Mikasa. It’s honest and realistic in a way that few of us care to admit about ourselves, and it’s just super chilling and badass coming from her, too. It also shows how much she fights for Armin and Eren both. They are the two people she loves the most in the world, and she never gave up on saving either of them––from death or from themselves.

I’m looking back on Trost now and finding so much irony with the ending to SNK. In Trost, she was the one to give up on Eren, telling Armin that it was hopeless to try to extract Eren’s personality from his Titan form. And yet, like in the end, it’s always been between Armin and Mikasa to try to salvage Eren’s humanity. In Trost, Armin tells Mikasa to leave––to go do what she’s good at (saving lives)––and to entrust Eren to him.

It’s a huge expression of both Mikasa’s trust in Armin, and her belief in Armin’s abilities and friendship for Eren. And in the end, it’s the two of them again debating on if there’s any humanity left in Eren. The bond they share is intimate and deep. With all the military doubting Eren and scheming to take away his Titan (with even Jean and Connie unavailable to them emotionally), it’s only Armin and Mikasa against the world––the only two people who can truly consider Eren’s actions and hold off on judging him. And you can feel their love for him even as they doubt him.

And like back then, it has always been Armin who understands Eren most, the one who recognizes his own evil and Eren’s and finds a redemption in having others stop you, because you cannot stop yourself.

And that’s the thing I really take away from SNK and from Mikasa’s journey, that we all have devils inside us, and yet there is still beauty to be found, within us and in the world––from the natural wonders that Armin dreams of, to the comfort of purpose and companionship that Mikasa has in Eren. Love and wonder is what redeems us of our devils. And yet love itself is complicated, and can turn ugly in its obsession. That giving up that love is what makes the love selfless and beautiful, what absolves us of the selfishness within us. That’s what Mikasa learned. And in the end, she was able to release that love for the good of the world.

So I guess to sum up, I really love Mikasa. I can see why her dogged loyalty to Eren might annoy some fans, but I think there’s a lot more to her than simply that, and in fact, her journey and growth is heart-rending and one of the most symbolic arcs of SNK and fundamental to its entire theme. She’s a badass with a lot of emotion and depth behind her cold mask.

Shez being portrayed as someone who can’t help Claude through his trust issues unlike By.leth, when Shez is actually shown trying to help Claude while all By.leth does is 👁👁 and magics away Claude’s (everyone’s) issues… that shit hurts as someone who likes Shez :( Especially when I really can’t see what By.leth did in 3H that was so impactful for Claude that Shez just can’t do, when Claude’s the lord that so obviously needs/needed By.leth the least.

Like on one hand I do like that Shez can’t quite get through to Claude and how much both of them clearly want to be friends with each other but can’t quite close that distance, since it’s a relationship that’s both interesting in itself and fairly unique when it comes to Shez’s relationships in general (and removes the annoying player pandering - really lets Shez feel like a character)… but then I remember that people are just going to use this as fuel as to why By.leth is the best thing since sliced bread when they literally don’t do anything on a personal level for Claude and I just :/

yeah i don't really like seeing the negativity on shez either. i think he's a really fun character and im enjoying his interactions with the rest of the cast a lot. there's a lot of aspects to his personality that i'd like to explore further! and there's much less player pandering from what i've experienced so far, which is a huge plus for me. i haven't played gw yet but it sounds like shez and claude have an interesting dynamic there - somewhat unique, like you say, for having the relationship between the lord and the protag be a little difficult, with more trial and error than what we usually see in the 3h games. i get the feeling that that might have been what the writers were trying to go for in throuses with by/leth and claude? and it's relatively well-executed in the first few chapters but then eventually the by/leth focus still comes into play pretty hard, especially after the timeskip, and claude's distrust and his resulting apprehensive, distant stance towards by/leth peter out pretty rapidly. which is fine except it isn't even bc by/leth is really doing anything, the story just happens and claude learns new things and decides to trust by/leth now. unfortunately people disliking protags and being negative about it is just what being in this fandom is like. i mean, i try to be fair about it and i try to tag my posts correctly, but i can't say that im not being negative abt by/leth a lot. and there's plenty of people who don't do anyone the courtesy of hiding their thoughts behind tags and polite words, and that's not fun for by/leth enjoyers either. but then i really dislike how a huge part of the fandom hypes on by/leth and their importance to every character and their mum and then turn around and call shez a bland knock-off, or cold and unfeeling, or say that the characters suffer for shez being around instead of by/leth simply bc shez is a different character with a different relationship to the lords and a different role in the story as a whole. especially if you think that by/leth doesn't do a whole lot for most characters at all. and claude is definitely the lord who got hit with the least player pandering, so it's even more of a drag to see people use shez as an excuse to over-emphasise by/leth's importance to him. there's not much to do but try to ignore people who say that kind of stuff and curate your fandom experience as much as you can.

it just feels so weird and I don't know if it's just me being biased

When Sasha died we had a bunch of chapters about the aftermath, we had everyones reaction to it (even Hanji, Levi and Nikolo, who didn't grow up with her), we saw her friends and family mourn her (especially in chapter 111), it had a huge thematic importance and characters regularly think about her even now. Mikasa sits near her grave, Armin replays her death in his mind, Connie wonders whether Sasha would've understood him, Eren always refers to Gabi as "the brat who killed Sasha" and even Yelena says she was a good kid. Shell never be forgotten.

Erwin's death got a lot of focus, too. It definitely can’t be said that his character didn’t get a proper ending. His legacy hovers over Levi, Hanji and Armin constantly. Hanji, because shes the new commander. Armin, because he was chosen instead of Erwin and needs to live up to these expectations. He probably thinks about Erwin almost as often as Levi. The dead veterans, and that scene where Levi is kneeling before Erwin, have been drawn. Many. Times after the timeskip

I know not everyone thinks that way, but I personally feel like Ymir got a satisfying send-off as well - notably thanks to that letter in which she got to tell Historia everything she wanted to. Sure, there is the "what could have been" side of it that might feel incomplete, but more in a Marlowe/Hitch kind of way. On a narrative level, I liked it a lot. Now with what’s happening in the manga, it would be a real shame to not hear of Ymir again because we need to feel like she had a real impact on Historia. But Historia mentioned the promise she made to Ymir recently, so Im not too worried. And Historias memory of her was everywhere in Uprising, when Ymir was probably already dead. Ymir mattered.

Marco who died 100+ chapters ago is STILL relevant. Hes still the one whose memory motivates Jean to do what’s right, and Jean gets to have closure by learning how he died in chapter 127. It wasn’t absolutely necessary, but it happened and Im glad for that, especially since Jean was going to fight alongside Annie and Reiner. Marco was also present before that : the guilt of what happened to him literally makes Reiner dissociate, and pushes Bertholdt to end everything as soon as possible. Hes on their minds.

Hell, even Marcel shows up again in chapter 119. I thought hed already served his purpose in the story with Reiner’s character development, but just like Jean did with Marco, Porco sees his brother’s last moments and gets closure - for Marcel’s death, and for not inheriting the Armored nine years ago. True, neither Reiner nor Pieck mentioned Porco again, which was weird, but his death itself was amazing tbh. There were no loose ends. He went with dignity and his story felt complete. Im salty hes gone, but he couldn’t have done it in a better way.

...So what’s up with this weird ass silence around Bertholdt??

Unlike Historia, Annie and Reiner don’t really have the excuse of not being present in the story enough. sometimes it feels like they literally go out of their way to not talk about him, even though there have been many opportunities to do so. Like... that’s it? That’s really it? I don’t know, I feel like the relationships he had never got any closure at all. I often say "X character deserves better" but Bertholdt really unironically deserved better from the story

he did show up in 135 and was mentioned twice in 136, which gives me hope that he somehow still has a role to play. Armin’s dreams definitely need an explanation.

He didn't like knowing the fact that he was always drowning into an ocean of hardship and darkness, so he steps up his game into letting Akaashi take a break.

Working is tiring for everyone. It's even more exhausting to use your brain into thinking with good ideas. What's worse is that sometimes, people tend to force to milk out every bit of their brain juice in order to master and reach their own satisfaction in their work.

Akaashi was not a stranger to that description.

When you work as an editorist, like he is, it's automatically embedded in you that what you must submit it worthy to be read. Like a every writer, the common thing they had was content. Will it be good? Will it be read? Thousands, even millions of thoughts would swarm a single person for that matter. There mustn't be one speck of mistake in your work. Everything must be already there, written, revised and correctly formulated.

Dealing with this especially when you were assigned to take care of a big project from your seniors was a huge amount of pressure for Akaashi. He couldn't say he hated his job nor loved it. But he can tell that he wasn't happy knowing he wasn't taking care of his health anymore.

"Akaashi~ you're taking too long."

Luckily Bokuto was there.

"10 more minutes, Bokuto. I'll be done." he replies without taking his eyes nor hands off of his laptop. Still hunched over his desk, eyes squinting on each word he's typed in so far checking to see if there were grammatical errors or spelling errors that needed to be changed.

"You've said the same thing 6 times way back now, look," raising his foot, Bokuto points it out on their wall clock above his desk, "It's already 7:30 pm. You haven't even touched your onigiri!" Akaashi takes a small glance to his left side. The onigiri's were left cold and untouched for the past hour since Bokuto had bought home, "Seriously, you need to stop over working your self. One of these days you're bound to collapse.." He mutters the last past, not wanting to imagine his beloved Akaashi fall without him around to pick him up.

He hears a frustrated sigh coming from him. When your partner is stressed and you were just trying to help, it usually ends with the stressed one blowing up on the other one. Atleast, that's how other couples work.

"I'm sorry." not for both of them though, neither one would dare to hurt the other one. For one reason, Akaashi was just not the type of person you'd want to yell at, look at him, he's just a quiet, little man trying to pass by. Next is Bokuto, you can never yell at someone who looks like a child filled with innocence, and besides, he was right at this point for scolding him.

"The deadline is in 2 days time..I'm just terrified that if I don't submit something properly written, they'd stop giving me these opportunities." looking over his right side where a stack of papers were unorganized.

"So? Atleast you won't have to over work yourself. It doesn't matter anymore if you can't be happy and healthy." sitting up with crossed legs on the bed, Bokuto observes Akaashi from there, ready to attend to any needs and necessity.

"I'll be marked with a lower rank and get paid little..."

Bokuto knew how much Akaashi wanted to help him pay for their rent and other taxes ever since they've agreed to live with each other. Even though Bokuto had a lot of money in his pocket to aid them both, Akaashi simply doesn't want to be dependent on his lover and let him do all the hard work.

That's why he loved Akaashi so much. Even up until now he was still giving his all to him like in highschool.

His 120 percent in things.

Akaashi leans back on his chair, closing his eyes for a brief moment to gather all his thoughts to think properly. That gave Bokuto a chance to get up from their shared bed quietly as he walks up to him from behind. He wraps his strong arms around his neck from behind, placing a soft kiss on his forehead as he strokes away the frustrated tears now streaming on his cheeks.

"If it ever went down to that, I'll talk to your boss," moving his hand on both of his shoulder blades, he held the male down by pressing on the tight knots that had formed way back, "No objections, Keiji. You've been working hard, if they treat you like shit I'm complaining. There's no fairness." it was endearing to hear that coming from him. He had grown up to be a mature man than he was before. If Akaashi wasn't so frustrated he would've been crying from so much love coming from Bokuto.

He raises both of his hands, cupping Bokuto's smaller ones on his chest, "You're too nice to me." smiling sadly as he let's all pent frustration out with his tears, "I can never know what'll be enough for me to give you."

That was another thing that Bokuto was saddened about. The fact that Akaashi was an over thinker he'd often degrade himself to the lowest of all. To Akaashi himself, he was nothing more than a bother. A hindrance. But to Bokuto, how he wishes he could tell him he was more than enough and that he has given him too much even before.

"You're already good enough," tapping his chin with his fingers, he pushes his head a little, making his eyes flutter open, "I mean it, Keiji."

There was a short pause of silence. Neither one daring to move as they clung onto each other's love language and affection. Pretty soon, Bokuto found this opportunity as a good sign to lead him back to bed for a break. Removing his arms away from the seated male, much to his dismay, he grabs on the plate of onigiri's and walks to their shared bed, placing it on top.

"Come on, I'll eat with you."

Akaashi watches as Bokuto sits back down on their bed with his legs wide enough. Enough for him to fit and sit in between them, and pats the free space.

"But I have to fini—"

"Your dinner, yes, you're gonna finish your dinner. Now sit here!"

He can never say no when it comes to Bokuto whining. With a sigh, using his sleeves, he wipes away all the excess tears. Not bothering to take his glasses off, and stand up from his chair.

"I'm going to get im trouble after this." nesting himself in between Bokuto's legs and leaning his back on his chest. Bokuto hands him an onigiri along with his and watches Akaashi take his first, but small bite. He didn't have the mood to eat from his constant thinking which makes the owl haired male frown deeply.

"No, you're not. Have a little faith. I know you," taking a huge chunk of the onigiri in his mouth, "You always manage to make things work, that's what I love about you." Akaashi didn't like messy people, but he couldn't make any comment on how silly Bokuto looks and sounds with his mouth stuffed.

"Please don't chew your food while talking, Bokuto."

"And please don't be sad in front of the onigiri's, Kei. They have feelings too."

Hearty laughter filled the room coming from Akaashi. Bokuto savored every moment of it. His happiness was his happiness as well.

Watching Akaashi finally take bigger bites and chowing down like a starved man, hr let's him have all the onigiri's to himself, using an excuse that he was already full. He can see the way his eyes sparkled shyly as he took all the rice filled meals into his stomach.

"Hmm, you're getting kinda chubby there, Keiji," pushing his pointer finger on his cheek, he watches it squish adorably from his touch, "Not that I'm complaining. You look hot and cute." grinning when he saw his lips pout a little with his cheeks growing red, he couldn't help but pinch them.

"Bokuto please, I'm trying tk eat."

"I wasn't suggesting anything!"

Disposing the plate to their night stand, Akaashi wipes the side of his mouth with his sleeve, Bokuto hugging his stomach with his hands rubbing them.

"You're so soft, Keiji." he hums, squishing the baby fat from the smaller male.

"I need to get to work." he was feeling embarrassed. Had he really gained weight that much? Akaashi was taking a note in his mind that he was going to join Bokuto in jogging next time.

"But its late. And you need to rest." nuzzling his head on his shoulder. He really didn't want to see another one of those nights Akaashi would be sitting, hunched on his desk until sunrise.

Stroking his stomach to his chest, Bokuto whines a little when Akaashi tries half heatedly to break from his hold, "And I wanna cuddle you to sleep. It gets lonely when you always leave and work yourself to the bone."

There were times Akaashi would slip from his hold around 3 am to get back to work. During those times Bokuto would pretend to be asleep and wait for his return. And he got pretty upset he's reached until the birds started chirping. The bed was cold without him.

Akaashi feels the guilt rising from him as he remembers all those times he's left the older male. Thinking of what was more important, he forces the arms around his stomach down and turns his body to face him. Bokuto already had a sad expression on his face knowing he was still going to over work himself. It was already part kf his nature.

Until Akaashi wraps his arms around his neck and pushes him down to bed with him placed on top of Bokuto.

"I thought you were going back to work?" nonetheless, Bokuto wraps his arms tighter around Akaashi. He flinches when he feels him started to shake and his neck getting wet.

He was crying again.

Petting his head, Bokuto reaches out for his glasses, removing them and placing it gently on their night stand near the plate. He pushes his head deeper on his neck side, allowing him to cry as he whispers sweet words next to his ear.

"I promise, Keiji. You're already fine as you are. Please, let me take care of you."

He hears a choked sob escape from his lips, "You don't have to keep doing this if it doesn't make you happy. If you're doing this for me then I'm not hapoy if you're not." sniffling from his words, Akaashi listens to him, finding his body warm and home like feeling. His words soothing like a sweet lullaby.

"I don't care about anything, Keiji. I'm hapoy because I have you. But I'm more happier to see you happy and well."

Turning his head, golden eyes meeting teary gun metal ones, Bokuto swipes away the tears again with his thumb and places a small smooch on the tip of his nose.

"You're already enough for me and others. So please," pressing his forehead against his, they both closed their eyes, feeling their breaths close and their bodies warm with fluttering feelings, "Take a break for me."

Akaashi knows to himself sooner or later he'll crumble again like today. He knows to himself that he couldn't help but let his thoughts overcome his sight on things. But that didn't matter right now.

He was in his arms, and that's all he could think of with his presence.

"I love you so much." whimpering softly as he buries his face against his neck again. He felt so safe and secure woth Bokuto around. Loved. That everything around him got a little better. Brighter. It made him nuzzle even more into him and his small arms squeezing him.

Bokuto counters back the same squeeze of affection and kisses the side of his ear. His breathing soon slowing down and into a calm one before he hears soft snores from Akaashi.

"I love you too, Keiji. Sleep tight."

That day Bokuto doesn't sleep until 3 am. He has spent his night watching over him. Occasionally stroking his hair or back whenever he moves from his position.

He wasn't going to let anything ruin Akaashi and his peace for the day.

The Abyss NPC are such a trove of gold for additional worldbuilding tbh 

Everything about the Pagan Lady who I assume is Dagdan breaks my heart

That poor NPC whose family was somehow massacred by nobles “People with crests do whatever they like no one stops them least of all the church”

Mr. Backup died during the timeskip :( But Abysskeeper ends up marrying his older sister in VW and SS

Rodrigue paid for reestablishing the monastery town, even giving money to the ppl in abyss & generally seems to. I guess you see where Dimitri gets that charitable mindset from. Yuri also notes that he’s remarkably uncorruptible. 

Abysskeeper is originally from Derdriu. It#s fun how a lot of his CF and AM dialogue is exactly the same but in different context XD - apart from of course the rodrigue line, and the time Hubert sends a soldier to do some mission there

When you go save Fhirdiad Constance is pretty glad to save the ppl from the school of sorcery and is glad to find them mostly unharmed

Yuri goes into some detail of events right preceding Byleth’s return in AM where the villages near the fronts weren’t sure wether to think of the guy massacring random imperial soldiers as a serial killer or a folk hero

Balthus apparently had a friendly brawl with Dimitri at some point (I guess continuing the tedency of the recruitees in aM to mention having personally interacted with him, at the very least Leonie and Caspar also get lines like that)

Apparently Yuri’s mom got sick sometime during the timeskip (at least in the AM timeline) so he couldn’t evacuate her from Faerghus. 

Constance like Ferdinand, Lorenz & Lysithea is one of those ppl who remember Edelgard in a semi-positive light after her defeat. Kudos to you!

Balthus suspects where Claude ran off to. Well, he was kinda sent there to snoop on him to begin with XD

He never had any hope for the Parlay

Apparently Yuri does have a habit of praying, he’s not like a strooong believer and can’t recite the scriptures much but it’s a habit he picked up from his mom, I guess he would be one of those ‘culturally religious’ people

I just love how Yuri had additional observations on nearly everything like... nothing gets past him. 

Meanwhile in the CF timeline, Balthus apparently thinks Edelgard is hot (which earns him a death glare from Byleth) and thinks the whole Black Eagle strike force should go have a beer to celebrate Byleth’s return since they’re all old enough now and Byleth’s no longer supposed to babysit them

I love how Hubert just flat out takes over Abyss and integrates poor overworked Yuri into his spy networkXD . Hence why Hapi feels he deserves a definite article.  Well, Hubert appreciates how good he is. The mission was to try & convince the Alliance lords to fold so like El & co were actively attempting diplomacy until the end

On CF you see a very omnious NPC who suddenly dissapears if talked to (probably Agarthan) who complains about “that prince being no good” - Did they offer Dimitri their support when they noticed they were definitely losing control of Edelgard? If so he seems to have rebuffed em. It’s a very cryptic line and I can’t rly make heads or tails of it, but, if he wouldn’t sell Rhea out to Edelgard he probably wouldn’t do it for someone even worse no matter what they promised him. 

Apparently in the VW timeline Hapi is a big fan of Judith

Balthus is proud that little Hilda has become an A list schemer

Hearing Claude’s plan makes constance a bit self-conscious about her own being more past-focussed, she’s been out-bolded

Hapi doesn’t know much about Almyra but reflects on how there are many marginalized minority groups in Fodlan including ppl from Isolated communities like her own

Yuri finds the plan a bit lofty & idealistic for his tastes, and also reckless,  but he realizes that he’s got no leg to stand on when it comes to being more noble than he lets on, and that maybe a lil bit of recklessness are what these times need

Oh, once the secret’s out Hapi concludes that there probably would have been war one way or another with the slitherers having everything infiltrated, edelgard or no edelgard

Balthus mentions that Holst wasn’t at Shambhalla because he was “working out things with the Almyrans” and suggest that they warn him about the slitherers lest they sabotage the diplomacy

Apparently Hapi meditates! This comes up cause she trying not to freak out about Nemesis

“People sait it was the church who kept order but actually Yuri’s the one keeping us from complete chaos”

Apparently it was Hapi who kept the surface bandit population from flattening Abyss

Apparently in VW it’s Judith who gave supplies to Abyss (In Rodrigue’s place)

Seems like despite Hapi’s worries they kinda fare best on CF though (”Things have been pretty ok” vs “We lost some ppl”)

Abyss Resident: “I used to be an important person in the church but Im exiled for embezzling. It wasn’t out of greed tho my hometown was pillaged and the church wasn’t putting in enough to rebuild” Tell me again that Rhea cares about the little guy

One of the random rogues from Abyss is from the kingdom, claims to be a distant descendant of Fraldarius the Elite and finds “poetic justice” in taking down the empire under Claude. 

Another reaaaaly juicy tidbit is that rogue with another message from Hubert, telling Byleth to bring Rhea with them when they go to Shambhalla. Ensuing that Rhea and Thales would destroy each other.  And reaaaly adds to my conviction that Edelgard and Hubert basically did everyone a huge solid and no one noticed. Well, actually in Verdant wind they Do notice eventually; Its the left hand fighting the right cause everyone has triust issues galore

I didn’t think my love of Hubert could increase further

I always wondered, hm, were they expecting Rhea to self-destruct? Did Claude deliberately plan for it? But I never had enough evidence. especially for team Empire. But I mean Edelgard started this whole war cause Rhea is a danger so, while I get keeping her alive cause the slitherers want her for experiments, why not slit her throat as soon as the imperial palace is surrounded? Why have Hubert return her alive, to win the other faction’s trust? Not their style.

Though the random rogue also says that “Rhea was kept alive as insurance” against the slitherers. 

So it WAS part of the plan. I always did have that feeling, but, I never knew how to articulate it logically and not just intuitively. 

Of course if Byleth went and told Claude about this, Claude’s decision is also clear because he’s not dumb enough to think the empire would care for Rhea’s wellbeing out of the goodness of their heart

Though ultimately she insists on coming along for her own reasons anyways wether Claude is there or not, for plain ol’ revenge. 

Also while reading through the scrpits I realize that I never clicked the “Do you hope [Rhea] is dead?” option when Claude explains his plan. That actually nets you support points and he’s like... “Daangerous question friend”. Really Claude is not “the chill/nice one” he’s so much more interesting than that and I love him

Also I love how the NPCs get different outfits depending on the route! I wish there had been more route-specific aesthetic touches

im just, like, a huge fan of his character arc, like he’s basically vegeta but feral i guess (i’ve never seen a single episode of dbz i don’t know what i’m talking about). also i’m a sucker for the whole “character is literally unable to use some kind of ability but does it anyway through sheer force of will” thing. and i love his post timeskip character design lmao

ok maybe i just like the heel face turn villains in this series a little more than i probably should, but like, i have a lot of appreciation for this dude especially after watching his parallel works episode. like he may have been the villain in the first half of the show but his actions well before the story and even during the story laid the groundwork for team dai gurren to succeed in the second half, and honestly he probably knew this? like, his oppressive ruling of all of earth was intended to protect its inhabitants from the anti spirals in the first place, and like arguably since the anti spirals were doing the same thing to all of space then you could say he was basically just a smaller scope version of them? and you can slowly see him as the supercomputer gradually regain his personality and yet he keeps helping team dai gurren anyway because he realizes that This Is It, these are the exact kind of people who can defeat the anti spiral, because they defeated him already. i think lordgenome more than anyone understood the fundamental nature of the world that he lived in.

5. antichrist

i just really like this fucker’s antics and aesthetic honestly. like, an omnipotent lovecraftian space hivemind represented by an astral projection of a Negative Human Person is in an of itself quite the concept for a villain, and in a series that doesn’t make sense (like franxx) they’d just stop there and call that a day, but they decided to give the anti spiral actual depth and complexity. while still making them act like the emotionless anime asshole villain who’s better than you because they just are. but you see that facade slowly fade near the end when they’re pushed to the edge of defeat and give in to their base spiral emotions and UGH it’s just SO FUCKIN- THIS IS MY FAVORITE ANIME OF ALL TIME FOR GOOD FUCKIN REASON.

Thoughts on s6~

Putting it all under a cut because I can’t not talk in lengthy paragraphs. Feel free to shoot an ask/message if you want to talk about s6, too

Ok wowie, good season. There were noticable weak points, but I’ll address those along the way. First let’s talk about the 

Plot

It was good. It was surprisingly good. The hidden altean thing where they bold faced put that Lotor was responsible for hundreds or thousands of deaths teeters way out of kids’ show territory. They were not fucking around with that. The fact that they made it clear that the plot was not just paladins vs Galra (esp with Lotor wanting to do away with the Galra), but more along the lines of paladins vs lotor vs generals vs sendak vs so on and so forth makes it not just more complex, but stacks the odds against voltron and adds good suspense. Clone shiro was incredible. It was everything i’ve been waiting for. 

The fight scenes, inside and outside voltron (cough cough KeithvsKuron) were breathtaking. Everything about Krolia was very well put together. THE ANIMATION WAS BREATHTAKING. 

On that note (and dipping into characterization a little bit), they kinda layed it on thick with Lotor romanticizing Allura. He was too goody goody and it made the betrayal lose a little impact (aside from the whole mass murderer thing). there’s a difference between that and foreshadowing. 

Idk why the huge timeskip with Keith and Krolia stuck on that mission bugged me a little, but it did. A timeskip makes sense and is a cool tool to use for the fam to get to catch up, but it just felt. Strange. Two years is a long ass time. Keith was completely unaffected seeing the team again. One could argue that this was bc of the mission, or Krolia teaching Keith how to be a member of the blade and have Super Mission Focus, but still, for Keith to have that much almost-off camera development and not be at least startled to see voltron again was weird. I love my mom to pieces but two years alone with her and eventually I’d go a little nuts.

Characterization

That last point brings me right into characterization, and unfortunately this one is gonna be a little more on the critical side. For the most part, characterization/character focus was well balanced this season. But there were some Moments.

Everyone on team voltron developed, and it was arguably best executed this season than any other. We got to see some great Coran moments, where he really felt like a member of the team. Hunk having a no-nonsense teacher, even just for like 15 minutes lol did him good in terms of communicating with their new allies. Hunk is a people-person, and it shows very well. His camera time wasn’t 100% food related all the time, in fact, barely ever. Bravo.

Pidge of course got her own arc, but it was still a GREAT moment when she admitted to having the coding on Shiro’s arm uploaded and on hand just in case. It was CHILLING when she made eye contact with Kuron before he took off. This is, imo, how Dreamworks should’ve handled other characters who didn’t quite have the spotlight in previous seasons. Not a whole lot of moments, but when they were there, they had impact. I hope they continue to do this.

Do I even need a section for Keith? Holy shit. My boi finally accepting his role as Black Paladin and so much more. :’) I won’t elaborate because c’mon, it was in part, a Keith-centric season

Same for Allura. She really is the heart of Voltron. We got to see a lot of sides of her. 

Lotor being a psycho bitch but still having genuine feelings for Allura?? good shit

LANCEY LANCE. Bless him, Dreamworks is doing their best. In terms of his relationship with Allura, seeing him going from meaningless flirting to serious heart to hearts and a team player was fantastic. BUT I have some grievances, here we go.

Lance got a mini-arc and it was great, and he very clearly grows and changes, this is great! However, regardless of ships, seeing it centric to a romantic relationship, and basically being a rebound for Allura was ahhhhhhehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh eh. 

Pidge and Hunk teasing Lance about his crush was normal, and them pretending to be Lotor and Allura was adorable and hilarious, but Lance was really hurting and when they didn’t stop and just walked out, I???? What. That, to me, is out of character. Hella out of character. Lance is their friend, and they should be?? Friendly??? I was mad @ them

Finally, as much as I love broganes and the great arc they had, they’ve had a tremendous amount of camera time. We’re well away that they’re practically inseparable. What I really wanted to see was the whole team being involved with finding out about Operation Kuron. With Lance seeing Real Shiro in the astral plane, I was really on board with him pulling aside Keith when he came back and be like “ey dude I saw some fucked shit”, and them rescuing Shiro together was a theory I was personally super into. Was kind of disappointment that we didn’t see the relationship between Shiro and the other team members deepen a little more.

First of all, daaaaaaamn that Allurance.

I’ve shipped allurance for a while now, more casually than other ships, so to see Lance change and mature and support Allura while Allura started to show that she really values Lance meant a lot to me. It’s good to see Lance grow up a little. For everything that they were this season, forced was most certainly not one of them. Their relationship felt organic.

However, it was not without flaws. I can’t help but feel like Lance was treated like a rebound, and was almost too? supportive??, and it was telling when Allura was talking with the mice, upon them snITCHIN ON LANCE DAMN MICE, she frowned sadly. I have to wonder if she actually returns his romantic feelings. And I do like the ship a lot, casually and aesthetically. But at the end of the day, what I was hoping to see was a really solid friendship. I think from here they don’t need to be straight up romantic. Their relationship is no doubt one of the strongest in the show, but I think it would be an incredible writing path to keep their friendship, because allurance has been hinted since episode one, and I think it’s almost?? Too easy for the writers to turn it romantic. I think Allura and Lance are a great team and very compatible for friends, but uhhhh read on.

I’ll just address the elephant in the room and come clean, yeahhhhh I like klance and yeeeaaahhhhh I would have really liked to see some more content this season, so sue me lmao. 

If I’m gonna be really blunt about my feelings, I feel like klance is a fantastic direction for Dreamworks to take. I feel like it would be good writing to make klance endgame. Why? Because it’s the path of least resistance. That’s why so many people like it. Keith and Lance were so salty at the beginning, but the crew made an effort to show that in moments that were particularily tough, they have loads of potential and can be very good for each other, romantically or platonically. It’d be harder to write, it’d take time, but I think it’s a worthwhile pairing. And there are definitely some moments that are super disruptic to both Keith and Lance’s development when they, Lance especially, straight up regress in their development and fight for no reason. I think it’s unfair, and it almost always makes me go “wait I thought they were starting to get along better??”. Now that Allurance is a thing, I’ve stated in another post that, because it would be strange for Lance to have two romantic arcs, it’s pretty unlikely that klance will actually happen. Do I think they teased us? Yeah. Do I think they straight up qbaited us? Not really. In the end, my biggest hope is that they continue to develop Keith and Lance’s friendship and don’t abandon the really strong potential they have together. Don’t let them regress, Dreamworks.

I’m not gonna address she/th (or tag it, because who goes into the tag looking for someone to say IM NOT A FAN OF XYZ JUST THOUGHT U SHOULD KNOW) too much because I’m personally not a fan. There’s so much about their relationship associated with “brothers”, and Keith looking up to Shiro that it just doesn’t rub me right in terms of romance. I had to wonder if they aged Keith up two years to justify possible future she/th?? if it happens I’ll be bummed, and I think the random aging up is kind of a cop out, but hey, it’s their show.

RIP Lotura. I stopped shipping it and figured out Lotor was a hoe after his third Dramatic ‘Let’s Bring the Universe Together’ Speech to appeal to Allura’s sense of duty. It’s a shame tho, I was really digging it at the end of season 5

Episode 1

So That's Zarkon without his helmet

It seems that a timeskip has taken place and that everyone has been taking up Shiro's absence with a stiff upper lip

Alluras 1000 yard state

Note how when everyone mentions how important meeting Shiro was to them, Keith again doesn't explain about their earlier meeting

So the BoM guys just jump out. Yep, yep, I can see Keith being related to some of them.

Seems like the Paladins and the BoM are fully allies now, they interact with Kolivan rather casually here

So hunks claw thing can attack defensively, too!

Interesting how we get to see this whole bunch of Galra & their range of features, something of their society

act merciful then reassign him to space siberia. That's one establishing character moment right there.

But one interesting thing here is that while he's sneaky and manipulative he IS a fighter.

Keith is not the world's most diplomatic person but what he's saying IS the truth

Episode 2

I guess a theme of this episode seems to be that the characters are all capable of more than their straightfoward designated 1D roles. 

It's not just lance they were all sorta identified with their niches.

Hunk loving Yellow so much is so adorabs tho

Reminds me of this thing in guilty crown where a once wimpy character was inspired to „become“ a more confident one

Quirky miniboss squad has varied designs.Lotor has such a punchable face

Episode 3

So they go in when they can barely fly... They were fairly ragtag when Shiro took over tho – It wasn't TOOO bad thinking from Keith, he thought of placing the tracer

So Lotor's a genius pilot, too. They even THINK similarly „Don't waste the enemy's time of weakness.“

Again the formation gag

Allura is REALLY not good at this

So there is a „Voltron Feeling“, intersting

I feel ya so much Keith. I can't into group activities either.

Thing is he is actually a good planner he can even bark out orders well but he's used to risking & utilizing only himself with no further consquences.

I just hope the discourse squad isn't gonna hate on him too much, like, he said he wasn't cut out for it he's improvising as best as he can

There's a little Zethrid in all of us

Lance has this complex of not having a special role, but, he's kinda the ~Versatile~ guy, stepping into whatever roles are needed (just like water flows & changes shape)

& right here he's trying hard to be the glue

It's sort of a reversion because usually it's the charismatic guy who's the leader and the prioritize-the-mission guy who is number two (See Kirk & Spock)

Still I would like to stress that what Keith's doing here is his consistent trait of prioritizing the objective

I did not expect Allura to get this deep character moment but it makes sense

I wonder what we can infer from this about lance; Blue remains mysterious

They're all getting into it~

I must admit I got a mild case of the feels at this point

Well this one cuts to the chase right away. Not much downtime this season.

Again I didn't expect Allura to get the focus this season.

Not having Shiro as a co-leader is srly fraying her nerves & making her feel the burden of her task. From the beginning she was always characterized as somewhere being an ordinary girl put portraying strenght because of the burden of her father's legacy – When you think about it, she is so, so stranded & this possibility is gonna compromise her bigtime

It's kinda like the plot of  „The Doctor's Wife“

There comes another favorite, the negative space wedgie

I like it when the technobabble includes references to how they are actually determining things („Gravity isn't being diverted“ etc. )

Its like a magic Event horizon!

This started slow but now it keeps sucker-punching us

SHIRO and he's got Hermit Hair.

We've gone F.E.A.R. As it would seem.

Haggar's right tho, with all his ideas & somewhat obsessive/ singleminded tendencies he's actually a lot more like his father than his demeanor suggests.

Again Paralellism to Allura & Keith trying to fill the shoes of Alfor and Shiro respectively

So in the end Shiro found THEM before they found HIM

Still, a bit anticlimatic; I'd expected more of a finale than just „The lion senses him“ & no explanation for what happened, or will that be filled in later?

Alien Ramen.

So... that didn't contain what I think it would & contained lots of stuff I didn't see coming. In a way it was a huge break from the format, really nonstop plot instead of the previous slower pacing & focus on character interactions.

I would have expected the revelations from season 2 to play more of a role (Keith's origin, Allura's newfound magical capabilities, who or what is Haggar)

I mean it makes sense because it's an exceptional situation with Shiro being gone & Lotor hot on their tails. I wonder what season 4 is gonna be like, thankfully it might be there soon.

It's been a bit since we had a Hunk or Pidge episode & I was looking forward to less utilized interactions such as Shiro with Lance & Hunk or a episode where Pidge & Keith go on a mission together

IDK there's so many dangling plot threads and now there's MORE but even so most of this was  good writing when seen for itself.

There wasn't a lot of Pidge content which isn't that bad given that she got to be showstealingly hypercompetent in the last two seasons but they better give us a Hunk episode in October.

So Allura's weapon is a flowy gymnastic ribbons thingy... kinda like a shinier version of that whip Zarkon's so fond of tho

I'm glad we got to see her kick butt with it before handing the Blue Lion back to lance

This fight scene well utilizes the bunch

AH now there's explanations, or at least an aknowledgement of a need for one. And again we see that Keith & Shiro sort of have a special confidence between them. Shiro allows himself to sound audibly distraught here. He looks to weird in such casual clothes, too. We never saw his pajamas in ep 2 so I guess now we know.

At which point during these last few eps did Keith acquire those bags under his eyes? Is it me or does he seem a lot more in control? Or perhaps its just the familiarity.

That moment at the end tho, aww. No one minds saving you, Shiro, because they all LOVE YOU TO BITS, especially Keith.

Ahhh I wanted him to keep the hair. But I guess he is the proper sort/ feel a bit less like a plant when he's clean-shaven. Yes bby tell them how proud you are.

It shows how much both have matured but, NO. I did not see that coming ouch nor did that conondrum occur to me. Hence I see why Shiro coming back was not the final climax

I didn't think they could wrap much up but it's going fast.

...Keith has always been quick to just pack up & withdraw hasn't he? I guess that quote about Alfor becomes relevant again here.  Aaand another plot twist why do I even bother with the pause button. How's this even gonna continue, is Shiro just gonna do mission control from now on? I'm gonna miss Keith doing Keith stunts if he's gonna be tied up as the boss man.

Even so, the teleport question is still no answered.

Was Shiro Ayanami'd somehow? (replaced by a clone or something)

I was beginning to think they couldn't wrap up THAT much in just 2 episodes but they seem to have taken this as a challenge. T'is a rolacoaster.

Hey isn't that the guy from the first episode? In any case you almost have to sympathize with that random Galra comander.  Poor bastard. Two invading parties. +Is there gonna be a confrontation now? Keith Kogane and the Halfblood Prince. Ohh this buildup of epic music cant be good

the four way battle with the generals was interesting/ pretty cool like theres one for each of them to smash. Are they setting up miss scaultrite thief for a high heel face turne? I hope not that would kind of be trite.Some are saying she might be part of his long-lot family, but wasn’t Keith’s mom supposed to have been with Marmorites instead of the Empire? 

Keith PLUS mission control Shiro would seem to be its wholly new desaster to adjust to. Keith did not ask for nor deserve this you can tell he hates every minute of it.

Ep 7

At this point its srly weird how the opening is still the same, especially after they set up all those elemental associations for everyone's original lions.

So lotors mom WAS altean but it wasn't Haggar herself as far as I can tell.

I'm smelling a gendo ikari type backstory here but i hope theyll be creative about whatever they do. And ooh, allura's parents in the backround her mom looks just like her.

There goes my headcanon that the original green paladin was olkari. But also ooh backstory.

But hey I think Pidge's predecessor was also a girl? And Lance's is... also very obvious. Alchemy!

Oh wait it is Haggar, and that WAS, indeed, the Galra homeworld. Classic „overdid the black magic“ backstory & went bonkers backstory Though Zarkon seemed to be lowkey authoritarian & obsessed with destructive potential well before he went bananas. I suppose the series has stuck to classic tropes.

Interesting choice to top it off with the backstory & let that be the twist/ finale with the character arcs themselves being left dangling – Last we saw of Keith, it seemed like whatever sense he had that he was getting the hang of it had just kinda crumbled away again and he seems so miserable, like, glancing away even at the end of the conversaton with little resembling a resolution.

And we still don't know what actually happened to Shiro. Did we even see how Zarkon got his scar? 

Also, did our Evil Overlord Couple make Lotor before or after they turned into zombies?
