~ bang chan
chan would definitely be feeling pretty awkward as soon as the other men come into the situation.
he would wait a short moment or two before he intervened, unless one of the other men said something to you that was too sexual or insulting. comments like that towards you.
especially with you being his partner, the comments towards you would bring him very close to his snapping point.
he would quickly intervene at this point in the situation, telling the other party to bugger off before something regrettable happens.
his hand would have found yours back at the start of the interaction, and i would be lying if i told you that you could twist your hand out of his grip because he was holding you so tightly to him. the way he'd be squeezing your hand would make it seem as though he might be trying to tell you something...
and he would be standing very close to you at that point too, trying his best to show these other men that you were taken; you were his. they couldn't have you, and you didn't want them.
~ seo changbin
don't ever underestimate this man when he tells you that you. are. his. you are his, and no one else can have you.
mans is so scary and thicc that no one would dare hit on you; everyone can tell that you're with him.
but if some stupid motherfucker did decide to ht on you, there wouldn't be much of a conversation before somebody said something that tickled someone else the wrong way.
and changbin would in no circumstances come out on the losing side.
but before that happens, changbin would totally be acting super passive-aggressive towards the men who are hitting on you. he would be holding your hand very tightly, quite akin to chan.
he, like chan, would be standing very close to you in an effort to keep you from getting uncomfortable, and to try to get his point across that you're taken.

a personal essay on why i love Dr Romantic 2
Dr. Romantic 2 was the kdrama that found me at my darkest. You see, I ended 2019 leaving from what I once thought was my dream job. Hoping to start 2020 anew, I've been in search for some sort of inspiration and in those attempts, trying to fill that void through kdramas. I never even meant to watch DR2, even if at that time it was already trending on my personal twitter feed (also, it was the last week of cloy and i was determined to catch up to it). And I believe it was the universe itself sending to me a Viu app reccomendation and this youtube video below of Cha Eunjae and Seo Woojin meeting again at Doldam.
youtube
It wasn't even a fluffy scene for that matter (and tbh I didn't even know it was Ahn Hyoseop who was the ML, I thought it was Dr Bae from this clip i'm sorry *cries*) but I found myself intrigued with how Woojin looked at Eunjae that I decided to give this series a try.
And man, was I goner within the first five minutes. It surprised me how much I enjoyed watching this, when a medical drama wasn't my go-to genre.
As someone who hasn't watched the first season prior, it was a journey for me to discover Master Kim's personality along with Seo Woojin and Cha Eunjae. And just like the great surgeon Master Kim was, he was able to cut right through my heart saying the things I needed to hear. In a way, Master Kim helped me to stitch myself up that I found myself praying to have a mentor like him each time after finishing an episode.
I also enjoyed watching how they explored each of the characters as well. I found my younger self in Yoon Ahreum, innocent and curious, joining the Doldam team in hopes to be as accomplished and bright as the rest. I found my college self in Park Euntak in his seemingly blind faith towards Master Kim and later second guessing his decisions later in the series. I also found myself in Dr Park's legalistic views, and wondering wasn't it best to play the safe side but also secretly envious of Master Kim's bravery. I loved Nurse Oh's voice of reason. I loved how broken Seo Woojin was, and how he never let his past define his present, striving to live a good life.
But mostly, I fell in love and found myself most in Cha Eunjae and cried buckets with her. Cha Eunjae and I were similar in a lot of ways : spoiled, sheltered, would make lots of excuses and obsessing about being good enough. While Cha Eunjae was initially presented as a weak character, I liked how she didn't pity herself. She was a fast learner, picking herself up growing little by little throughout the episodes with hits and misses along the way. I loved how Cha Eunjae owned up to her own life. Technically, coming from a well-off, doctor affiliated family she could easily pull-off some strings right from ep 1 when she was sent off to Doldam Hospital. But she faced the consequences of her actions head on and allowed herself to be of service during her time there.
Just like Cha Eunjae I also had my share of situation based anxiety attacks in a weirdly ironic case as well. I understood where she came from, Cha Eunjae knew what she had to do and that she was capable, but there was so many background noise that would make her doubt and blank out the last minute. Watching Cha Eunjae grow became a vision for me to what I would like to become.
I cried with her when Master Kim told her off saying she should quit becoming a doctor, as it was a scene that hit close to home. And I cried all the more when she firmly said no when Master Kim said "If I told you to quit would you really do it?"
Tumblr media
And of course there was the Seo Woojin and Cha Eunjae love line. I am always a fan of the slowburn trope but I believe that it is quite tricky to present a slowburn love story-- too slow and it might feel dragged on, too quick and it may lose its essense. And Ahn Hyoseop and Lee Sungkyung, with all the minimum scenes & skinships that they have, delivered it with pure magic. I loved, loved how their love story was more-than-it-meets-the-eye kind of thing. There was meaning behind the things they said, and didn't say. Their push-and-pull was satisfyingly good, that whenever Woojin makes an indirect confession I felt as breathless as Cha Eunjae was. Being deprived from the typical lovey-dovey scenes, their latter scenes then became so much sweeter especially with those little caressing Woojin did. *blushing intensifies*
Tumblr media
Most of all, I loved how Seo Woojin wasn't some kind of hero/prince charming for Cha Eunjae and how Cha Eunjae wasn't the catalyst for Seo Woojin's character growth. Rather, Doldam hospital gave them the tools to grow, and they picked themselves on their own, with each of them occasionally offering each other support when needed to. They were truly relationship goals!
It's been over a year now simping over this kdrama (and a year since I joined kdrama stan twitter because of said drama), and I hope that we wouldn't wait too long for season 3 ❤️

stray kids: When their s/o  is suddenly cuddly
♡ skz.group
♡ rated.f
♡ bang chan
To be honest the moment you walked up to him and uncrossed his arms that were wrapped around his own body and pressed yourself into a hug, he was very surprised
But would be lying if he said he hadn’t loved it and thought it was absolutely adorable
And quite frankly, he wasn’t going to question it
Honestly thinks you suddenly being cuddly is just adorable and a very nice contrast to your usual dislike for skinship
And honestly even though he was just chilling against the counter he couldn’t help but smile at the cute gesture and need for affection
All while basking in the glory of your warmth and cuddles because honestly you’re  so warm and fit so nicely in his arms asdfghjkl
The whole moment was just nice and peaceful Chan just had continue the cuddling in bed
♡ kim woojin
It all happened so suddenly he was initially concerned and paused before his arms fully wrapped around you
And in all honestly he thought you were gonna start crying and was about to ask if you were alright until he felt your face nuzzle in his chest
At that point he feels like your okay and even asks a little bit just to make sure
When he knows 100% sure you’re okay, he’s totally gonna make sure you have the best cuddle sess of your life
The whole fuzzy blankets and comfy pillows to make sure you’re warm and comfortable
It really warms his heart to see you so comfortable in his arms even if it’s not a regular occurrence
He also low key hopes you are able to get more comfortable and want to cuddle a bit more even if it’s just once or twice a month
♡ lee minho
He was pleasantly surprised when you had snuggled your way into his arm and had to stop himself from laughing
It was so out of the blue yet so adorable he really was having an internal struggle on whether or not he should tease you a little or not
He ends up just smiling to himself and kissing the top of your head, not wanting to make you feel uncomfortable and ruin the moment
And honestly he’s more than content with just laying in bed with you cuddled in his arms
Like he just realized how friggin perfectly you fit in his arms and how soft your skin is
He might just have to ask for that skin care routine
But overall he’s just living in the moment with his baby uwu
♡ seo changbin
The initial moment you sat on his lap, his eyes widened for a split second before he forced his expression back into neutral
And when you snuggled up to him he had an even harder time containing himself from cooing
Because damn how were you just gonna be so cute and expect him to not  be all over you giving you kisses
Though he does try to refrain because he didn’t want to make you feel awkward knowing your feelings about skinship
However you can bet between every second you guys cuddle his heart is just getting warmer and he just can’t help but feel like he’s falling in love all over again
And his heart is just jumping for joy when you fall asleep in his arms and cuddle closer when he wraps a cozy blanket around the both of you
♡ hwang hyunjin
He can’t really stop the teasing that leaves his lips the moment your cute ass self makes a spot for yourself in his arms
Like he’s so happy and excited he just wants to tease you about the moment because “wow my baby really just made my heart do that”
Though when he feels you make the slightest movement his playful tone immediately dies into something of whining
Mostly because he’s scared he just messed up the moment and really does just want to cuddle with you
And he won’t stop till you reassure him it’s fine and that yes he may indeed continue to cuddle you
And when he feels like he’s made up for his teasing he’s pulling you into the tightest hug as he nuzzles his cheek against the top of your head
♡ han jisung
god the moment you walked up to him and hugged him and just latched yourself onto him, nothing was stopping his eyes from popping and his jaw from dropping
He’s so dramatic about it that he almost forget to hug you back
The gesture was just so cute he couldn’t stop himself from being so extra
And when you tell him you want to cuddle, he’s  never moved so fast
Carrying you to the bed and then bringing all the fluffy blankets and pillows just for your liking
He’s so excited you almost feel like teasing him but your refrain and instead claim your cuddles
♡ lee felix
Honestly the second you told him you were tried and wanted to cuddle you didn’t need to say anymore
He was already on his feet from the couch and dragging you into the room
has absolutely zero hesitation in pulling you into the bed before dashing for the extra pillows
And when he finally joins you under the warm blanket he makes sure to tuck it around the both of you
He’s so busy and excited his heart almost burst from his chest at the warmth of you cuddling into him first
You stole his heart and he had no problem with that as long he was allowed to brush his hand through your hair and hold you close
♡ kim seungmin
Even though he wasn’t expecting you to crawl into his arms and just tuck yourself nicely between his arms and chest he was about to keep his calm
And when he meets your eye all he can do is spare you a soft smile because he’s so shocked
Like wow you really are just naturally cute
Plus he knew you disliked skin ship and the fact you initiated this moment made his heart just burst out of his chest
And even though he managed to keep a pretty neutral face he can’t help but smile and silently celebrate each time you snuggled closer
He might even hum a light toon till you fall asleep and just hold you there for a moment and just admire you
♡ yang jeongin
It was originally just a joke when he opened his arms for you to cuddle with him, because he already had a blankets draped around him
And in all honest he thought you were going to reject the offer
But nothing could describe how ecstatic he was when you took the space between his legs and cuddled back into him
Even allowing him to wrap his arms around you and keep you warm
He’s a little awkward about it because he’s nervous but he loves it and only hopes you can grow to love things like this with him
Especially when manage to fall asleep in his arms, giving him a sense of pride knowing you feel protected in his arms

Cuddling w/ Stray Kids (OT8)
masterlist
A/N: hi, this is my first post! Please be nice. Also, with how little we know about what Woojin did, I don’t feel comfortable writing for him. The boys don’t seem comfortable with him, and I’d rather respect that.
Bang Chan
Tumblr media
- lbr, cuddling will be rare. mans works hard but he would much rather be cuddling with you.
- so when cuddling happens, sweet boi will be over the moon!!
- he’ll be smiling and giggling the whole damn time. In general, very talkative.
- he’s a leader by nature, so I feel like he’d rather be holding you/big spoon. He loves protecting you. Not super warm either, lucky you.
- favourite position: you lying on top of him. Playing with your hair, hand on the small of your back, peppering lil forehead kisses here and there.
- 10/10 cuddle buddy.
LEE KNOW / Lee Minho
Tumblr media
- I feel like he loves after practice cuddles (helps with the cramps) ((that might just be an excuse for more cuddles but let him live he’s a Scorpio and dancing is hard work)
- even if he’s sweaty and warm sorry Minho stans
- I feel like he might swap between wanting to be held/holding you.
- lying on your chest is probably the favourite. Listening to your heartbeat is very calming for him, especially after a stressful day.
- BIG rambler all around. Will 100% rant about Felix/Han antics.
- when he’s holding you, however,  he liked to spoon traditionally: arms around your waist, face leaning against your hair, drawing lil shapes on your hips.
Changbin / Seo Changbin
Tumblr media
- see this gif? He’s gonna care for you like he cares for baby Jeongin. hugs and kisses all round.
- even if you’re older, mans got a soft spot in his heart for you and the maknae whoops. He loves to care for people.
- seeing you snuggled into his lap gets his heart racing. Watching your lil content smile, feeling so relaxed in his arm. He feels so lucky in those moments. It’ll cause him to be a bit quiet but he’s a happy boi (he’s also tired bless)
- he often sleeps like that when he gets back from some late night 3RACHA studio sessions.
- I know a lot of people may see him as a lil spoon but I can’t see it (plus who wouldn’t wanna be wrapped up in these mans guns goddamn)
Hyunjin / Hwang Hyunjin
Tumblr media
- mans is l a n k y
- basically, you’re gonna be wrapped up in his damn limbs like he’s a human blanket. Super warm but like who wouldn’t let themselves boil to death for this man.
- basically: head in his chest, leg over your leg, arms holding you super close.
- BUT sometimes he’s down for you to hold him too (if you’re short you can just be his backpack bless)
- everyone needs a little comfort sometimes you know? And I can see Hyunjin needing that on occasion.
- He’ll fall asleep cause he feels so comfortable tbh
HAN / Han Jisung
Tumblr media
- absolute little spoon energy
- mans just wants all the cuddles from his favourite person
- give him all the hugs and kisses you’ve got my dude
- 100% the type to bury his head in your neck, arms around your waist while you hold him close
- another one that talks a whole bunch
- sometimes he cuddles you but it’s rare when he’s jealous. He’s mostly a lil spoon
Felix / Lee Felix
Tumblr media
- HE’S SO LITTLE LOOK AT HIM!!! he either wants to protect you or be held.
- if he’s gonna hold you, he’s gotta be in one of those “I need to show you how much I love you” modes
- I’d say probably 80% little spoon 20% big spoon
- overall, whatever positions get you two as close as possible
- I see him as being very chatty tho. Wants to hear all about you (he’s a lil clingy but it’s cute). Weirdly cold I reckon??
Seungmin / Kim Seungmin
Tumblr media
- goddammit this boi. He’s gonna try his best to be cool and suave but he cracks so easily when you snuggle into him
- will big spoon to try and hide it but you feel him grip you closer when you get all soft on him
-please don’t embarrass him he’s trying. He’s gonna be warm cause he’s blushing the whole time, talks a lot cause he’s getting a lil nervous and trine hide it
- kind of into couch cuddles? y’all will watch a movie and he’ll pull you close so you can lean on his shoulder. Can’t have it any other way cause you’ll see him blush
-poor baby
I.N / In Jeongbin
Tumblr media
- so shy
- he’s gonna hold you cause he feels like he should but if you hold him he’s gonna melt
- very into the traditional spooning cuddle but after a while he’s gonna lean onto your side, arms around your waist
- good luck getting him off after that. he might refuse to hold you cause he misses it too much a babey
-  so sweet. not much of a talker cause he’s shy but he’ll open up eventually. Give him some time for it.

Hello!! I’d like to request a BTS ship and a Skz ship (without woojin)
I’m 5 foot tall, I’m on the thicker side. I’ve got thick thighs, a belly, and chubby cheeks. My eyes are green. I have a wolf cut with natural brown roots and bright orange ends.
My star sign is Sagittarius, my moon is Aquarius, and my rising is a Scorpio (tho I’ve been told I mostly act like a Sagittarius.
I’m energetic and outgoing, but not when you first meet me. I’m very shy, but I get used to people easily depending on the person. I don’t keep a whole lot to myself, unless it’s very personal mental health related things. I love shopping and coming up with cute outfits and fashion overall no matter what (thrifting is something I do a lot haha). I like making ugly/trash art to help show my emotions when I can’t express them through words. I’m over dramatic, and I eat a lot of food. I’m a very cuddly and clingy person. I can’t sleep without stuffed animals/stuffies unless a person is next to me. I love going out to do stuff, but I don’t mind staying in, I just prefer to be in public. I love to read and write and watch anything at all that is entertainment, especially horror/thriller films. Listening to music is something very very important to me.
Toxic traits : I’m very insecure about my physical appearance, I don’t mind my face a whole lot, it’s mainly my body, but overall I’m insecure about everything. I can also be very hypocritical. I get jealous fairly easily, but it’s never extreme jealousy, just the small feeling of not being good enough
Okay I think I’m done ahaha
He would love to just pick you up when he hugs you, to make it easier on the both of you
Likes resting his head on either your thighs or belly when the two of you are watching movies together
Plays with the ends of your hair a lot
Chaotic duo when the both of you have sugar or coffee
You can sometimes blurt out things that you shouldn't, but he can never stay mad at you
Constantly clings to you like a koala, and even lets the boys cuddle with the both of you sometimes if they are feeling upset and need some love
In Stray Kids, I ship you with Changbin!
Tumblr media
You know that "Up All Night SKZ" episode? The one with Changbin, Seungmin, Felix and Chan, Ep. 3 I think?
The episode where they were like cleaning the bedsheets or whatever?
Yeah, you know how they were all clinging on to each other when they eventually went to sleep
Good luck, honey, because you should be prepared for that to happen to you with Changbin every night
Like this man-child will full on wrap his entire body around you. Good luck breathing!
Your Saggie to his Leoooo = matchy-match
Seo Changbin is an ass man, and I will die on this hill. He will definitely find ANY reason to have his hand on your rear end, absolutely any chance he will get
He needs to pass you in the kitchen to get a mug from the cupboard? Hand on your ass.
He walks in the door after a long day at the studio? Hand on your ass.
Covert trip to the grocery store for food for movie night with the boys at their dorm? Hand on your ass the entire time.
Tired after dance practice and he's laying on the ground after you bring them all lunches? SOMEHOW manages to put his hand on your ass.
Brushing your teeth and doing your skincare routine in the morning? Hand on your ass.
You get it! This man is just obsessed with your ass, okay?
Enjoys making you flustered by staring into your eyes and smirking at you
If you are tired and still have yet to take a shower, he will run you a bath and make you lean over the edge of the tub and he will gently wash your hair for you
Brings you to underground art shows that his connections have told you about and he just stares at you in adoration as the two of you wander around looking at all of the art
He makes sure to take notice of which ones are you are particularly interested in, and he sneaks over and makes offers on all of them.
He surprises you with them the next day, when you come home from work and he is hanging them up in your living room for you
Has countless videos on his phone of you goofing off with the boys during practices and studio sessions
Keeps blankets and a pillow in his studio for when you come to keep him company and you get tired
If you don't want to let go of him or let him out a hug, he will use his strength to his advantage and will pick you up like a child and just carry you around when he is doing things around your house
Picks up little notebooks for you on tour stops and he writes you little love notes on the first page for you
He hates it when you get insecure about the things that you don't like most about yourself, or about your toxic habits, and he tries SO hard to make you feel loved
If you have arguments, they can sometimes go on a couple of days, but he almost always comes back to you first
When you're cooking dinner, he will put music on a stereo quietly and will wrap his arms from behind you and sway the both of you back and forth
Will snuggle his face in shoulder/neck and will sneak little pecks on your neck
When he wants kisses, but you don't give them to him, he will squeeze your cheeks in his hand and do aeygo at you until you giggle

Tumblr media
the gif has absolutely no relevance but holy shit it’s beautiful
pairing ↠ changbin x gn!reader genre ↠ humour, fluff, the boys are Bad Bros wc ↠ 2550 summary ↠ the gang comes to your rescue. naturally, chaos ensues. warnings ↠ swearing, a lot of dirty jokes (this is peak dumbassery for the boys)  a/n please don’t do any of this at home. but if you do, let me know how it goes!
Tumblr media
read:  mess (part one) | mayhem (part two) | PURIFY
series masterlist
Tumblr media
Fact: Seo Changbin was not a tall man, by any means.
And yet taming this wild beast of a boy was no easy feat - especially after Woojin, Taekwondo maestro and Kendo wizard, took a knee to his nethers and was out of the game.
Changbin had headlocked Jisung who, in turn, had kicked out reflexively at Hyunjin which had Hyunjin toppling over onto Seungmin. And now, Seungmin was sitting on Hyunjin’s back (as he screamed about how he can’t fucking breathe with this bitch on me), punching his ass and Jisung was turning redder than a hot chili. Jeongin was, thankfully, recording this from a safe distance, so when the day was over and done with, none of you ever forgot the beautiful memories that transpired on this fine evening.
You were nursing Woojin back to health, but Changbin had landed a solid kick to his nuts and he was still whimpering in pain as you held an ice pack to his unfairly-thick thighs - the poor, poor man - and you made sure to add kick bin’s tic tac to your to-do list. Nobody hurts Woojin and gets away with it.
Chan, who had been underneath Changbin this entire time, has stopped screaming - you’re pretty sure he’s unconscious now - and it takes Minho and Felix both pouring water over Changbin for the chaos in front of you to stop.
Jisung’s wheezing filled the room and Changbin was heavily panting out his frustration. “I’m not," he huffed, “a demon. Now- fuck off.”
“You’re an-” a loud, shuddering inhale from Jisung, an asshole.”
“Holy shit,” - holy shit, Chan was alive! - “your bony ass was stabbing me.”
“Serves you right,” Changbin gloated, finally moving off of Chan to slump against the sofa.
“We’re adding squats to your workout,” Chan continued, rolling over before wincing and rolling back, “Someone massage me, please, I think I’m dying.”
“Stop being a baby,” Seungmin replied, and it was only then that you all noticed he was covering Hyunjin’s mouth with one hand and pummelling Hyunjin with the other.
“Oh, fuckin’ hell, get off him,” Minho laughed, making no move to actually help Hyunjin out.
You pulled Seungmin back by his shoulder and he easily fell off of Hyunjin, giving the other boy a blissful reprieve from a brutal spanking.
“I need a massage, too,” Hyunjin groaned, tenderly rubbing his ass and recoiling, “holy shit, this burns, what the fuck, man?”
Seungmin shrugged, “You hit me first, man. War is fair shit, y’know?”
“That’s not how the saying goes, you prick.” Hyunjin’s pout had you aww’ing, sitting down cross-legged in front of him so he could rest his head on your lap.
He sighed and nuzzled in further, placing your hands atop his head, urging you to massage him. You snorted but acquiesced, running your fingers through the strands, “Want me to kiss it better, too?”
“Yes please, babe,” Hyunjin replied, eyes closed and mindless tracing shapes onto your leg.
Changbin kicked Hyunjin’s ass after that which had the latter gripping your thigh reflexively and growling, “What the fuck?”
Your mind couldn’t even begin to process how hot that sounded - seriously, you’d seen Hyunjin proudly burp the alphabet, yet this one moment had you weak in the knees?
Pathetic.
“Y/n’s my babe, duh,” Changbin shrugged and you rolled your eyes when he shot you a wink.
“Bastard,” Hyunjin grumbled, sighing out and closing his eyes once more.
“I hate to interrupt this cute-as-shit moment between you all, but are we forgetting why we came here?” Felix questioned, hands on his hips, looking like a disappointed Superman because everyone was relaxing instead of un-demonising Changbin.
Tumblr media
A second outbreak ensued after Felix’s announcement - his words had somehow enlivened them all, Woojin leaped up, Hyunjin and Seungmin tag-teamed and took down Changbin, Chan’s back pain was still there, sadly - but this was much more successful than their first takedown attempt.
You stayed on the safe side once more, massaging Chan’s shoulders - holy shit, the man was broad - and maybe your hands slipped to feel his biceps but neither of you were complaining; you’re pretty sure Chan was flexing, just to show off, too, and damn, was that a great life experience. You prayed to God that nothing would ever make you forget the feeling of his muscles beneath your hands.
Hyunjin and Seungmin were now sitting on each of Changbin’s arms; Minho was shirtless - what a sight that was - as he’d used his top to tie Changbin’s legs together; Felix was cooing, gently brushing Changbin’s head as he muttered, “It’s all gonna be okay, baby, I’m here for you, we’ll get through this, yeah?”
Woojin was slumped on the sofa, holding the wet ice pack to his face because Changbin had managed to headbutt him near the start of this fiasco. It was just not his day.
After hauling Changbin into his room and ever-so-gently dropping him onto his bed, the boys took a breather.
“Damn,” Chan whistled, looking around Changbin’s room, “you cleaned this up nicely, y/n.”
“It was me, asshole!” Changbin exclaimed, a proud grin on his face, “I tidied up.”
“Sure you did, Bin,” Seungmin rolled his eyes, “We believe you.”
“Y/n,” Changbin whined in response, “Tell ‘em the truth.”
“Of course it was all me,” you smirked, “Changbin just supervised all my hard work.”
“Sweet, wanna help me and Lix out, too, then?” Jisung popped in, sending an overly-sweet smile your way.
“Nope, nevermind, it was all Bin, he’s your man.”
“He is my man,” Felix sighed dreamily, laying beside Changbin in bed.
“Alright, let’s get him ready,” Minho said, dragging in a duffel bag - when did that get here? - as he entered.
From his position, Felix easily rolled on top of Changbin as the others held down whatever flying limbs they could.
Just as they all managed to pin him down, Minho whipped out handcuffs, the fiery red cuffs immediately drawing everyone’s attention.
“Why…” Chan started, loosening his grip on Changbin’s leg, but he was too shocked to move anyway, “Why on Earth do you have handcuffs?”
“Do you see me questioning your kinks?” Minho drawls, walking over to Changbin who just stares in wonder at Minho.
“Right,” Chan coughed, grabbing onto Changbin’s leg once more, “forget I asked.”
“That’s what I thought, daddy,” Minho teased, shooting a wink over his shoulder to Chan who had a pretty pink blush tainting his cheeks.
The sound of the cuffs clicking seemed to break everyone out of their stupor; you viewed Changbin laying down on bed like that - arms restrained above his head - in a whole new light, and the sight had you snickering.
“You like being tied up, Bin?” you teased, pinching his cheek and, despite having his wrists tethered to his headboard, he tried reaching out for you anyway.
The cuffs pulled him back, clinking against the board as he growled, “Watch your ass when I’m outta these, y/n, you’re so dead.”
You pouted. “Don’t they feel good, though, Binnie?”
You trailed your finger around his wrist, feeling the fluffy material of the cuffs and, you definitely should have expected this - but whatever brain cells you had probably died when you were feeling up Chan - because the next thing you knew was that your own wrist was being grabbed by Changbin’s hand, and damn was his grip strong.
“Let go,” you groaned, trying to pull your hand away, but Changbin was mighty and relentless. “Help me!” You pleaded to the other boys who stood there and watched - Jeongin was still filming (pay respects to his phone storage) as the others just laughed at the turn of events.
“Stay there,” Minho replied, returning to the bag, “Keep him occupied while we do this.”
“Keep him occu- What the hell am I supposed to do?”
“Well, he is tied up, you could… you know...” Minho trailed off and you stared at him dully as he kept raising his brows suggestively.
“Nope, no, you do not have my consent, y/n,” Changbin shook his head, grip on your wrist tightening.
“Oh my God, ew, I would never,” you scoffed.
“Why the hell not, what’s wrong with me?” Was Changbin being serious right now?
“Holy shit, where do I start?”
“Maybe y/n’s just jealous?” Jisung interrupted. He continued when you and Changbin raised your brows in question. “Maybe they wanna be tied up instead?”
Changbin turned to you with a smirk, raising his eyebrows teasingly and you rolled your eyes, facepalming with your free hand.
“Being on top is great,” Felix randomly interjected, leaning his chin on Changbin’s chest.
“Yeah, I can really feel your happiness,” Changbin snickered, and that remark had you all shrieking in disgust.
“Gross, Lix, what the hell, dude?” Jisung exclaimed, punching Felix’s shoulder.
“You popped a- a- Ew, fuck dude!” Hyunjin sputtered, jumping off the bed and away from his perch beside Felix.
“No!” Felix yelled, instantly sitting up and straddling Changbin, “Look, I haven’t!”
“Oh fuck- No one’s gonna look!” Chan said, immediately turning his face to the ceiling.
“I’m looking,” Minho smirked, “And so is y/n-”
“No, I’m not-”
“He’s safe, don’t worry. Woojin you can open your eyes again.” Minho dumped the contents of the bag onto Changbin’s bed, a wide variety of objects and food tumbling out. “Onto more… pressing matters.”
(He smirked when Felix muttered Fuck you.)
“Grab some shit, ladies, let’s get to work.” Minho stated, grabbing a blindfold.
Jisung jumped to pick something up first, but he groaned when he couldn’t open up the cheesy nacho sauce jar. His hands were red from trying to twist the top off, and he whined when it still wouldn’t budge. “It’s so hard!”
You snorted, “That’s what Felix said!”
Felix shot a nasty glare your way. Tough crowd.
“Give it here,” Chan said, holding his hand, “you just need to grip it right before you twist.”
From the lewd smirk he shot your way, you knew exactly what was going through Changbin’s mind. You rolled your eyes because of course his mind jumps to the gutter, how typical.

You haven’t ever taken part in an exorcism - at least you could tick that off your bucket list now - but you were pretty sure whipped cream and feather dusters weren’t usually part of the ritual.
Seungmin had pulled out a bluetooth speaker and was playing some Latin chants out loud as they all began to work on Changbin.
This was more revenge for all of the times Changbin had played you all and you wondered why none of you had thought to do this sooner. Five years of torture and you only got your revenge now? You were slacking.
Changbin’s grip on your wrist didn’t cease - really, it only got tighter when the others began their tormenting - but he loosened up whenever it was too tight.
With your restricted movement, you resorted to just pinching whatever parts of Changbin you could reach. You started with his cheeks, squishing them together until he pouted and you moved on to pulling his ears then flicking his neck.
Eventually, you got tired. You nudged his shoulder and he shuffled along his bed as best as he could. You sat down, mindlessly tracing his red cheeks, booping his nose which he promptly scrunched to look like a bunny. Your hand found its way into his hair and you messed around with the strands, twirling them around your fingers as you leaned your head against the headboard.
You gave up on focussing on what the others were doing.
Chan had spread jam on Changbin’s hands, Seungmin had poured water on Changbin’s socks - Woojin had even signed his forehead. God, this was a disaster.
You stopped watching when Minho began taking off Changbin’s belt.
After some time - about ten minutes, but the boys had done some seriously-traumatic damage - they all stopped, dropping whatever was in their hands and slumping on the floor.
“By the power vested in me,” Minho started, voice half-muffled as he spoke into the floor, “I condemn your demon ass back home.”
“S’it finally over?” Changbin groaned, nudging you with his shoulder. He had long since let go of your wrist but you had made no move away from him, finding comfort in just resting beside him. You had, however, removed the blindfold a while ago, so he was mentally preparing everyone’s (except yours, of course) cruel demise.
“Alrighty,” Jisung said, jumping up from the ground and clapping loudly to invigorate everyone, “Let’s haul ass, boys!”
“Yep, have fun cleaning this shit up!” Hyunjin said, and the rest of the boys followed him out of the room.
Were they seriously just leaving you with this mess?
Holy shit, there was ketchup on the ceiling, and mayo on the lamp? What the hell had they been doing?
You were too stunned to stop them because there was no way they were leaving you to clear this shit up, but the slam of the front door informed you that yes, that was exactly what they had done.
Assholes.
“Can you please untie me now?”
Tumblr media
After releasing the cuffs, Changbin had eased into his bed, despite all the questionable substances on his sheets. The man went through a fate worse than Hell for ten whole minutes, and you felt kind of bad.
So, you got up despite your aching neck - slouching on the headboard was not your smartest idea - and headed to the bathroom. You turned the tap on, filling the tub up before you pulled out some new sheets from the cupboard and headed back into his warzone of a room.
His eyes were closed, but he wasn’t sleeping. “What’re you doin’?” He slurred, shuffling on his bed and groaning when some orange sauce trickled down his neck.
“Cleaning up,” you laughed, moving to help him sit up, “I started a bath for you, go.”
He trudged out of the room and you groaned, staring at the disaster in front of you.
Just yesterday, his room was sparkling brighter than Edward Cullen, and now? His socks were hanging off the lights.
You stripped away his bed sheets, dumping them on the floor, but the room was still a shitshow and it was way too late - holy shit, it was past 3am, so too early - to try cleaning the room. You quickly put on the new bedsheets and decided that, after this hellish day, he could sleep in your bed. The man deserved something nice after having Felix straddle his thighs.
“Yo, y/n!” Changbin called out from the bathroom, “Mind bringing me some clothes?”
You grabbed some fresh nightwear out of his cupboard and some Pokemon boxers because obviously he had those filling his drawer. After passing those to him through the door’s opening, making sure not to peek because you didn’t want to be scarred for life with a naked Changbin, you waited for him to come out.
He wordlessly followed you back to your bedroom, turning the lights off and taking your offer to share the bed.
“I could’ve slept on the sofa, y’know,” he mumbled, voice drifting into a yawn.
“S’not that comfy,” you murmur, “just sleep.”
“Night, babe.”
“G’night, Bin.”
And if either of you woke up cuddling the other, not a word was mentioned to the other boys.

On Sundays, I liked to watch ridiculous Australian television shows with Chan and Felix. The two boys never seemed to mind, especially since the real reason I came over was to eat my way through their monthly supply of groceries. Plus, Chan and I used to fuck when we were still in high school and that boy owed me for all the free orgasms. “You watched Gumby in Australia?” I questioned, watching the disturbing animated character as it danced across the screen.
Felix shrugged. “It was fun as a kid.”
I unconsciously shivered, leaning in closer to Chan. “That’s seriously creepy.”
“You take what you can find,” Chan remarked, shoving another forkful of ramen into his mouth.
“I remember watching Teen Titans.”
“What was that?”
“Just some teenagers who had crazy superpowers,” I explained, reaching over to take another stick of beef jerky from Felix.
He hummed in acknowledgment, eyes still glued to the TV. Meanwhile, I could faintly hear the sound of the front door opening, but it wasn’t until he was standing in my line of vision that I actually bothered to look up. “Why are you always here?” Changbin growled, reaching down to swipe away the piece of jerky I had every intention of consuming.
“How inconsiderate,” I remarked, shifting closer to Chan with the hope that the older boy would take pity on me.
“You know what’s inconsiderate?” Changbin continued to complain. “Having you over here every morning to eat the food that I paid for!”
“I helped,” Chan grumbled, poking almost ruthlessly at his ramen breakfast.
“Changbin is just being rude,” I consoled him, pressing a tender kiss to his bare shoulder as Chan seemed to recently take a preference for wearing muscle tanks around the apartment.
“Look here, sweetheart,” Changbin growled, tone dripping with his barely concealed outrage. “You’re lucky I even let you come around here.”
I snorted because I definitely didn’t care about Changbin’s comfort. “You don’t bitch to Felix and he’s here more than me!”
“Felix actually contributes to the band,” Changbin tittered. “You don’t really do anything!”
“I keep the boys entertained,” I joked, digging my fingers into Chan’s side to wrench free one of his trademarked giggles.
“I like having Hanna around,” Felix protested, reaching over to cling onto my arm like an oversized koala.
I gave Changbin a smug grin, delighting in the way his eyes darkened further. He was far too easy to rile up and his quick-temper was fun to ignite when I was feeling in the mood. “Changbin,” I cooed. “Why don’t you like me?”
The younger boy was obviously not in the mood to play along, but it was still funny to watch him storm away with his fists clenched at his sides. “He’s too short to be intimidating,” I declared, settling back down with Chan and Felix to watch another one of Gumby’s whimsical adventures.
You see, I met Chan and Felix back in high school because of Hyunjin, my younger brother. And although Hyunjin would never admit it, he did his best to keep me away from his friends. “You’ll fall for Chan,” he explained when I asked why he continued to sneak the two Australians out the back door.
Of course, Hyunjin was right, and I eventually slept with Chan at a ridiculously cliche high school party. After that, we started dating for a while until we figured out being friends was a much better situation. Hyunjin was definitely grateful because he could finally have his older friend all to himself, but I still hung around whenever I could.
Chan and I also started university first, and it was nice to know someone because I was terrible at making friends. Thankfully, Chan introduced me to some guys he knew and Woojin and Minho became close confidants. They were mature and quirky, deciding we could have just as much fun with a few beers and a game of twister as opposed to those crowded fraternity parties. However, that didn’t necessarily mean I didn’t partake in the occasional late-night gathering, especially if campus icon Hyungwon had anything to say about it.
Nevertheless, when Hyunjin and Felix started school with Chan and me, things took on a new and interesting dynamic when they discovered an audition sheet for a new band. Apparently, the group was relatively new and were looking for singers and performers to join. Thereafter, we were all invited into the chaotic world of music with a strange introduction from Jisung, Jeongin, Seungmin, and, of course, Changbin.
Now, I wasn’t musically talented in any sense so I chose to merely accompany the boys to their frequent practices in the garage of Jisung’s house. Despite his parent’s constant bombardment, it was cool to have a place far away from campus to hang out and I enjoyed interacting with the others. I found myself growing closer to the other boys, even though we hadn’t known each other for very long.
However, despite our new acquaintanceship, I still had not managed to charm Seo Changbin the same way I had with the others. I was convinced the younger boy hated me, so I tried to stay out of his way. I mean, who would want to deal with his constant mood changes or annoying laugh anyway?
“I’ve got something brilliant!” Chan interrupted my darkening thoughts as he barged into Jisung’s basement waving about several loose sheets of papers. “This one will give us a hit for sure!”
I was the first to take a look, snatching them right out of Changbin’s hands who merely glowered at me in response. “Matroshyka?”
“Exactly!” Chan exclaimed, jabbing the sheets of paper aggressively before he sat down on the edge of the couch. “What do you think?”
I nodded my agreement. “It’s really good.”
Chan beamed under my praise while I relented the sheet music to a fuming Changbin. I walked over to Woojin, inviting myself into his comfortable lap, encouraging him to wrap his hands around my waist. “How long did you stay up last night, Chan?”
I studied the dark circles under Chan’s eyes as the older boy shook his head. “It wasn’t that late!”
“It’s fantastic,” Changbin gasped, immediately racing over to their elaborate set-up of sound equipment.
“Really?” Jisung perked up, tossing aside his notebook as he joined Changbin.
Meanwhile, Chan reclined back against the couch, folding his arms behind his head. “I’m a genius.”
“That isn’t exactly your style, Chan,” I laughed, feeling Woojin chuckling from beneath me.
“This is genius though!” Jisung insisted, running his hands through his crazy dark blue hair.
“We should record it tonight,” Changbin added. “Who did you have in mind?”
“Well,” Chan started sheepishly, suddenly shy despite his earlier confidence. “I thought it could be me, you, and Jisung.”
“I don’t know if I’m ready!” Jisung fretted, and I fought the urge to walk over and invite him into my arms. Jisung lacked in self-confidence, but I always tried to brighten his mood.
“We’ll do a practice run,” Changbin nodded as if he could already hear the finished product given the ridiculous way he bopped his head.
“This is exciting!” Jeongin added the youngest rushing over to Seungmin to yank out his earphones. “We’re recording tonight!”
I yawned, tuning out their adorable gushing as I considered the amount of homework I had to finish. I couldn’t stay tonight, but I wasn’t really needed anyway. And it would probably make Changbin happy.
Woojin immediately protested when I left his lap, reaching down for my bag. “You guys have fun tonight. I have a Chemistry paper due this Friday.”
“But Hanna,” Jisung pouted. “This is our first real recording.”
“And you’ll do great,” I said, adding a cheesy thumbs-up.
“Less room for her to get in the way,” Changbin grunted and I glared in his direction.
What an asshole.
Of course, it turns out that taking my English essay to the library instantly became the best decision of my life! And it was in large part due to the incredibly handsome library assistant who casually flirted with me as he helped me find all the books I needed from the list I jotted down before leaving my dorm. I was practically salivating when he asked if I could use any help writing the annoying assignment. I immediately acquiesced and spent the next several hours in literal heaven next to an actual angel. Not only did I finish my essay, but I also managed to score myself a coffee date the next morning.
Subsequently, I returned to the dorm late that evening which meant I allowed myself to sleep-in the following day. Usually, I never ignored texts from the boys, but I also didn’t want them to ruin my morning. After all, I was meeting with a man with whom I was 95% sure I would marry very soon, even if that meant a shotgun wedding at a chapel in Las Vegas.
At least, until I opened my big mouth.
Here’s some advice: just because a literal angel tells you that he knows how to play the guitar doesn’t mean you should also admit the same skillset. As it turns out, you don’t have to share everything in common with a potential partner. But I was enamored, and I spent several minutes talking about the really cool band I was apart of even though I knew Changbin would rather drink chlorine than admit I was a member of their silly boy group.
“You should come over and we can play together,” my angel said, and that’s when I knew I was doomed.
After we parted ways, I sought after Chan because I knew the older boy had been practicing guitar and maybe he would be kind enough to teach me a few chords. However, when I finished explaining the situation to him, Chan started laughing hysterically, pointing a finger at me as he incoherently tried to form a sentence. “What’s so funny?” Woojin asked as he entered Chan’s bedroom.
“Apparently my love life?” I grumbled, glaring at Chan as if that could possibly intimidate the older boy in the slightest.
After filling in Woojin, and a mischievous Jisung, I had to listen to the three of them cackle like old men who insisted on making a “joke” far funnier than it actually was. “Will you help me!” I pouted when Chan started to settle back down.
“I haven’t played in years,” Chan admitted, glancing back at Jisung. “What about you?”
“I’m really not that good,” Jisung shrugged. “But I know Changbin can play.”
“I’d rather deal with your mediocre skills than ask him. Actually, you could literally rip my fingernails off and I still wouldn’t ask Changbin.”
Jisung wrinkled his nose. “That’s gross.”
“The point is,” I reiterated, flailing my arms to regain their attention. “I can’t ask Changbin.”
“Why not?” Chan shrugged. “He’s really good and I don’t think he’d mind teaching you.”
I looked at Chan like the older boy had suddenly gained an additional head. “Are you serious? Changbin hates me.”
“He doesn’t hate you,” Woojin added. “He just sort of tolerates you.”
As if that was any better, but I was desperate, which is why I found myself lingering outside Changbin’s bedroom. I cleared my throat as I rehearsed my practiced speech: “Listen, Changbin, I’m really proud of everything that you’ve done with the group. In fact, I think it might be nice to be more supportive! Maybe if I could learn an instrument, I might be able to relate more to the music? How about teaching me to play the guitar?”
I let out an exasperated sigh as I dismissed my planned verbiage, choosing instead to knock hesitantly on the door. “What?” an annoyed voice called out, slightly muffled by the walls.
“I need a favor,” I said, fidgeting with my hands and fully expecting Changbin to ignore me completely.
What I wasn’t prepared for was the sight of an obviously exhausted Seo Changbin opening the door only wearing a dark pair of low-hanging sweatpants. “Why are you here?” he muttered, rubbing the sleep from his dark eyes.
I immediately shielded my gaze, trying to ignore the flare of interest after scanning down the broad expanse of his chest. “Put some clothes on!”
“This is my apartment,” Changbin retorted, very much unimpressed with me as he stepped out of the doorway. “I was sleeping.”
“Sorry,” I huffed, stepping inside his messy room. A complete disaster, if you ask me, with weird grunge rock band posters decorating the walls and a carpet made of clothes since he obviously doesn’t own a laundry basket. “I have a proposal.”
“What?” he grunted.
“I want to learn how to play the guitar and Chan said you were pretty good.”
Changbin was quiet for a moment. “Why the hell do you want to play the guitar?”
I felt my cheeks heat up, but thankfully my hands were still hiding my face. “Is that really your business?”
“Careful sweetheart, you need me, remember?”
I cursed his arrogance. “Fine, I want to learn because the guy I like can play.”
“You’re trying to learn guitar to impress another dude?” Changbin chuckled. “Isn’t that too much?”
“You wanted to know why!”
“What will you do for me in return, sweetheart? I remember hearing something about a proposal?”
“Of course, because it would be too much for you to help out a friend,” I muttered, finally removing my hands so that I could look him in the eye. Thankfully, Changbin was hunched over, somewhat hiding his naked chest from my sight. “I’ll stop coming here in the mornings to eat your damn groceries, okay?”
Changbin brightened. “Deal.”
It was likely the first time we ever agreed on something so easily.
“I booked the music room in the library for the week,” I told him. “We can practice there.”
“Whatever you want, sweetheart,” he sighed, falling back on his bed. “Now leave me alone. I still have an hour left before our second recording.”
Ignoring his dismissive attitude, I still held tight to the small victory I had attained in our agreement. I was a decently fast learner, so I planned for a few lessons with Changbin before I was ready to play with Hyungsik, A.K.A, the beautiful librarian who had left a memorable impression. That evening, I went to the music store and rented an acoustic guitar for my impromptu lessons. I also purchased one of those Dummy books because, despite the obvious condescension, they were pretty helpful guides.
I stayed up late that night reading through the book, nodding my head as I realized that it wouldn’t be too difficult at all. In fact, with some practice, I could have probably taught myself this stuff without Changbin’s assistance. “This is too easy,” I remarked, setting aside the book before allowing tender dreams of Hyungsik to soothe me into sleep.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
“This is the first fret,” Changbin droned monotonously while I resisted the urge to reach over and shake him because he was going way too slow. After all, I told him beforehand that I had been reading some very extensive literature on the guitar. He must have ignored me because he started from the beginning with the basic foundational stuff that even a first grader could have learned.
“Come on, Changbin,” I urged him. “I already know all this stuff.”
“It’s important to memorize the chords-”
“Yeah, but when are we going to play a song?”
His accompanying smirk was positively evil. “I thought you wanted me to teach you, sweetheart?”
“How to play songs!” I emphasized, because how deaf was this boy? I needed to remind Chan to keep Changbin out of the recording booth for a few days.
“You have to learn the basics before you can play a song,” Changbin went on, ignoring the way I rolled my eyes at his deliberate reprimand.
“I read the book already,” I sighed, deliberating whether or not it was too late to beg Chan or Jisung instead.
“Alright,” Changbin said, abruptly shoving the instrument in my direction. “Play me a C Major chord.”
Rolling my eyes, I pictured the image of the chord in my head, slowly working my fingers onto the strings. “This is what the book said.”
“It told you to crowd your fingers onto the same fret?”
“To play the B string, the D string, and the A string.”
“Okay, but your fingers aren’t positioned correctly.”
“This is what the book said!”
“I’m sure it did,” Changbin managed, openly laughing at me as if I had started speaking a foreign language. “But your fingers aren’t on the correct frets, and they aren’t holding down the strings enough.”
“What the hell does that mean?”
Changbin smirked, jerking the guitar away from my eager hands. “This is why you should watch me first, sweetheart. You might actually learn something useful.”
I resisted the urge to snap back at him because I was still 90% certain that I had been correct, but instead, I chose to fume quietly while Changbin resumed his lecture. Honestly, I endured enough of those on a daily basis with my college courses. The last thing I needed was Changbin’s nasally voice instructing me on the difference between E Minor and E Major, whatever the hell that means.
“Look Changbin,” I finally interrupted him. “Can’t you at least teach me a song?”
“What kind of song?” he asked, eyeing me curiously.
“Something romantic,” I briefly gushed, reaching over to shake his arm excitedly. “I really want to impress this guy.”
Changbin’s look of curiosity was replaced with one of revulsion. “Who is this guy, anyway? I don’t understand why you already like him so much.”
“We’re getting to know one another,” I insisted petulantly. “You wouldn’t understand. You’ve never even had a girlfriend before.”
Changbin quietly looked down, and I was slightly taken aback by the dark look that had briefly obscured his gaze. “Whatever song you want.”
I cleared my throat, a little unnerved by his unexpected behavior. “Just play something you know best.”
A familiar riff filled the tense silence between us. I snapped my fingers in recognition. “Stairway to Heaven?”
“It’s really easy,” Changbin shrugged, focused on his playing. “It was the first thing I ever learned how to play on the guitar.”
“It’s nice,” I admitted sheepishly.
I strangely found Changbin endearing at that moment, watching him play as if there was nowhere else in the entire world he would rather be…

Two Weeks Later
“My fingers hurt,” I pouted, presenting Chan with the sight of my blistered hands.
“Poor baby,” he teased, sprinkling tiny kisses across the delicate skin of my fingertips.
“That’s just gross,” Seungmin complained from where he was lying across Jeongin’s lap, eyes rapidly scanning over the pages of his most recent novel obsession.
It had something to do with a stalker.
“They used to fuck,” Jisung stated bluntly, ripping into his package of skittles, cursing when a few wayward candies fell into the floor.
“Don’t remind me,” Hyunjin whined as he covered his eyes with his hands as if burdened with a mental image of Chan and me together.
“Who fucked up your hands?” Woojin asked protectively, ignoring the previous topic of my coital actions with Chan.
“It’s from fretting the guitar,” I said a bit smugly, proud of my newfound knowledge. “Changbin is teaching me how to play.”
“Why the hell are you learning guitar?” Seungmin asked.
“Forget that!” Jeongin interjected. “How did you convince Changbin to teach you?”
“Tell me you didn’t agree to have sex with him!” Hyunjin gasped, bolting upright from his previous position on the couch to confront me, hands grasping my face tightly.
“What’s wrong with you?” I muttered, pushing aside Hyunjin’s wayward touch. “Why would I have sex with Changbin?”
“I thought he-”
“Hey!” Jisung suddenly interrupted, clapping his hands together rather obnoxiously. He gave Hyunjin a meaningful look, one that I could not begin to decipher. But I also didn’t really care because the two of them made for a strange duo. “Let’s talk about something else.”
“Yes!” Minho finally spoke up, rolling onto the floor to glance up at me through long lashes. “Let’s talk about Hanna’s new boyfriend.”
I brightened at the suggestion. “Hyungsik?”
“Hyungsik,” Minho repeated with a poor impression of my accent. “Tell me, have the two of you fucked yet?”
“Why are ya’ll so interested in sex?” Seungmin asked, slamming his book closed before knocking it against Jeongin’s chest.
“Why? Do you like Hyungsik too?”
Seungmin didn’t hesitate to fling the innocent chapter book in Minho’s direction. The older boy dodged easily, returning his attention to our previous subject. “Well?”
“Not yet,” I admitted with a shrug. “But there’s a party tonight.”
“Hyungwon’s party?” Chan asked, suddenly remembering that he was also apart of the conversation.
“That’s the one!” I agreed, patting the side of his face. “Aren’t you going?”
“Maybe,” Chan shrugged. “Actually, Changbin invited me earlier.”
“Changbin at a party?” Hyunjin scoffed. “Did he produce the music?”
I laughed at my brother’s witty remark. “I always pictured Changbin as the type to fall asleep drooling on his sheet music. Since when has he ever been interested in frat parties?”
“Since when have you?” Hyunjin randomly questioned, as if remembering that he was my younger brother and should probably discourage such illicit activities.
“You could come too,” I joked. “You’ll give all the pretty boys a run for their money.”
“Shut the fuck up.”
---------------------------------------------
Nonetheless, my younger brother could never resist the promise of free alcohol.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this,” Hyunjin whined as I drove the two of us to Hyungwon’s fraternity.
“You need to get laid,” I reminded him, locating a parking spot further down the busy street, congested with student vehicles. “This place is fucking insane.”
“Yet another reminder of why I should have stayed at the studio,” Hyunjin continued.
“Relax,” I said. “Changbin is supposed to be here with Chan. Find your friends and show them how an amateur dances to 90s EDM music.”
I squealed when Hyunjin reached across the center console to slap my arm. “You’re not funny.”
“And you’re slow,” I shot back.
The party had started nearly half-an-hour ago, which meant we were fashionably late and way too sober. I carefully pulled into the parking spot I located earlier, grumbling because I was forced to parallel park. But I was also impatient to find Hyungsik.
“Hold on!”
“It’s your fault if you don’t keep up,” I said, reaching down to unzip my jacket to reveal the rather inappropriate blouse that I had chosen for the evening’s affairs.
Hyunjin finally caught up to me as I carefully took the steps leading up to the front door of Hyungwon’s fraternity, teetering precariously on my 4-inch high heels. Despite the fact that the sun had only started to set, I could already spot familiar red cups decorating the banister rails. Kihyun’s going to lose his shit when he discovers this mess in the morning.
“Changbin and Chan are somewhere in the kitchen finding drinks,” Hyunjin informed me. “Can you spare a few more moments away from your sweetheart?”
“For Channie, yes,” I agreed, allowing Hyunjin to act the part of a gentleman and hold the door for me, allowing the blaring music to spill outside into the slowly darkening evening.
Hyunjin and I did our best to avoid the main floor where the drunk Freshmen were already losing their inhibitions. We slowly skimmed the outer edge of the wall, spotting the open kitchen where a much calmer atmosphere prevailed. Chan was the first to spot us, pointing over Changbin’s shoulder. “What’s up?”
“Trying to avoid a literal mess,” I grinned, wrapping my arms tightly around Chan’s neck. “Did you find something good to drink?”
“Not really,” Chan grimaced. “There’s a punch bowl, but that shit smells like gasoline.”
“Live a little,” I joked, peeking at Changbin out of the corner of my peripheral vision. “I’m surprised you came, Changbin.”
The younger shrugged, picking at a loose string on his black t-shirt. “I like Hyungwon.”
“Really?” I snorted because I was almost positive Changbin didn’t even really like his own bandmates.
“Hyunjin!” a shrill voice punctured our small oasis. I saw my brother grimace as a petite blonde came into his line of his vision. “I can’t believe you came.”
Changbin chuckled from my brother’s side. “He knew you were going to be here, Mina.”
“Hyunjin,” the girl giggled, as if ignorant to my brother’s obvious disgust like he was looking at the personification of Evil.
“You two should dance,” I suggested, deciding to tease my brother. After all, he was the one who often bragged about his superior choreography.
“Hanna,” Hyunjin addressed me, slugging me rather harshly across my shoulder. “I thought you wanted to dance with me?”
“I’ll dance with Channie,” I countered, feeling nothing short of victorious when my brother scowled, reluctantly allowing Mina to drag him away from our small gathering.
“How do they know each other?” I asked.
“She leaves cute notes on Hyunjin’s desk in our economics lecture,” Changbin said, leaning in closer. “I think she might like your brother.”
Changbin’s close proximity was unexpected, especially given my body’s peculiar reaction, practically drawn to the mischievous glimmer to his dilated irises. “Is that so?”
“Her older sister is a total bitch,” Chan remarked, ignorant to the strange tension between Changbin and me.
I tore myself from Changbin’s hypnotic stare. “What the hell are you even talking about?”
Chan shrugged. “Where’s your precious new boyfriend?”
I let out a gasp as I suddenly remembered Hyungsik. “I should find him and introduce you.”
“Thrilling,” Changbin grumbled, pulling back to offer the cheaply tiled kitchen floor a dirty glare.
“I’ll try and find him. You two wait here.”
———————————————————————–
My endeavors at impressive sleuthing were cut short, however, when I found Hyungsik talking in animated conversation with two of his friends. I couldn’t resist a smile as I pushed my way through the unwavering sea of students to reach him. Unfortunately, as I grew closer, I realized that he was swaying slightly, eyes unfocused as he took a long drink from his bright red cup. “Hyungsik!”
“Hanna!” the older boy exclaimed, meeting me halfway at the edge of the growing crowd. “You made it!”
His breath fanned across my face and I wrinkled my nose upon smelling the unpleasant waft of alcohol. “You’re already drunk?” I lamented, feeling a tad bit disappointed. There was no way I could introduce Hyungsik to Changbin and Chan in this condition. They would mock me for such a first impression.
Hyungsik offered me a flirtatious grin. “I think the punch was spiked.”
Nevertheless, I refused to have my evening spoiled so prematurely by my potential boyfriend’s immaturity. “Let’s dance,” I offered instead, taking Hyungsik’s eager hand and leading him to the middle of the dance floor.
I guided his sweaty palms to either side of my waist, expertly rocking my hips to the beat of the music. Hyungsik let out an uncharacteristic yell as he pulled me closer to his body, allowing more of the alcohol smell to completely blind my senses. “Are you having fun?” he shouted into my ear.
I was too young to lose my hearing.
And I gave up on Hyungsik the moment his hands started to trail messily across my backside, tossing his head from side to side like an incompetent rock musician who was well past his prime. “Come on,” I sighed, jerking away from his touch.
I decided it was time to help Hyungsik sober up from his premature alcohol consumption. I knew that Hyungwon allowed guests to stay in some of the empty rooms upstairs. My best option would be to lead Hyungsik to one of those rooms and let him sleep off his drunken stupor.
“Weee!” Hyungsik giggled as he fell on top of the bed, letting out a grunt as he collapsed on his front.
“Yeah, what a great fucking time,” I muttered sarcastically as I yanked his shoes from his feet, allowing them to messily fall into the floor.
I made sure to leave Hyungsik a glass of water and two Ibuprofen before turning out the light. I was a good Samaritan, even when the recipient of my good graces happened to be a potential love interest who totally ruined my Saturday night and left me feeling completely deflated. Of course, I guess it wasn’t exactly Hyungsik’s fault since he was apparently unaccustomed to the ridiculous tradition of avoiding the provided alcohol at frat parties. Still, I was far more likely to kick Hyungwon’s ass tomorrow morning in our Chemistry lecture, if he could manage to drag himself to class with a nasty hangover.
Satisfied with Hyungsik’s condition, I slowly closed the bedroom door behind me, letting out an exasperated sigh. I should’ve known better than to expect a decent lay from a fraternity party. What the actual hell was I even thinking? However, my self-loathing was temporarily forgotten when I spotted a shadow lingering around the corner of the hallway. I perked up instantly, eliminating the short distance to confront whoever had decided to stalk me when I was obviously upset.
“Changbin?” I questioned and he paused in his obvious attempt to sneak away. “Did you follow me up here?”
Changbin cleared his throat as he pivoted around to face me. “I’m sorry.”
“Why did you do that?” I asked, taking another step closer. I was surprised to see an unfamiliar brush coloring the narrow aspect of Changbin’s cheeks. “Did you think I was going to sleep with him?”
“He was drunk,” Changbin offered as a retort. “I didn’t want him to hurt you.”
“Trust me,” I scoffed, “he was too far gone to do anything to me.”
“But you wanted him too,” Changbin said, an unfamiliar rasp in his tone.
“Not really,” I shrugged. “I was mad that he was already drunk.”
Changbin let out an uncharacteristic giggle that I found alarmingly adorable. “You should know that your brother is currently dancing on top of the kitchen counter.”
I rolled my eyes. “I hope someone takes a good video. He deserves the embarrassment.”
Changbin nodded, rocking back on his heels. “Are you going to leave?”
“Probably,” I said. “I need to get Hyunjin home.”
“I can help if you want?” Changbin offered, and I was quick to accept his assistance.
“Is Chan still here?” I asked him as I guided our way through the maze of intoxicated students.
“Chan left a while ago,” Changbin said, one hand reaching out to hold onto my shoulder as I led us into the kitchen where an obvious crowd had started to circle around my idiot brother.
I forced my way to the front. “Hyunjin, get your ass down here right now!”
Hyunjin glanced down at me from the pedestal he had made of Hyungwon’s marble countertop. He squinted his eyes as if he couldn’t quite discern who I was. “Hanna?”
“Yes, you asshole,” I growled, yanking at his ridiculously tight skinny jeans. “If you want a ride home, then I suggest you stop acting like a complete fuckboy.”
Hyunjin seemed to sober up at my reprimand. “Sorry,” he slurred, falling into my arms.
“Hyunjin, you weigh twice as much as me,” I grunted, whispering a quick ‘thank you’ to Changbin when he offered to burden most of Hyunjin’s dead weight.
“You guys are the best,” Hyunjin said, rubbing his sweaty hair against the side of my face as we were abruptly hit with a cold rush of air from the outside.
“Shut the fuck up,” I muttered, shifting Hyunjin’s arm around my shoulder as Changbin and I proceeded to drag my brother’s drunk ass two blocks to my abandoned car.
———————————————————————-
“Thanks for helping,” I said, tucking the blankets up higher on Hyunjin’s chest. “You can spend the night if you want. I don’t mind sleeping in my roommate’s bed if you want the futon?”
Changbin nodded, perhaps too enthusiastically. Nonetheless, I found a spare blanket and pillow in the shared closet, giving them to Changbin as a makeshift bed. I knew the futon was rather uncomfortable, but it was only for one night. Plus, I felt better knowing that Changbin wouldn’t have to walk across campus in the middle of the night by himself. Despite our frequent disagreements, he was one of my brother’s best friends, and I had started to grow closer to him thanks to our unorthodox guitar lessons.
However, the last thing I expected after settling into my roommate’s twin-sized bed was to have an entertaining exchange with Changbin:
“Do you still want a lesson tomorrow?” he asked me.
“Yeah, I managed to avoid the alcohol.”
“Will you ever let Hyunjin forget the party?”
“There’s no way in hell,” I replied, grinning at the dark ceiling.
“You want the video I took of him on my phone?”
“I would literally like nothing more.”
Fuck, were we actually getting along?
————————————————————————
“Wake up, asshole,” I grinned, curtaining my brother’s t-shirt across his face. Hyunjin let out a groan. “What happened?”
“You drank too much and decided to show off for everybody,” I said, sitting down next to him on my bed. “Would you like to watch the video?”
“Fuck you.”
“Perhaps later then?”
Changbin stepped closer, looking unusually good in his dark jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. “Should we let him sleep?”
“Please,” Hyunjin groaned.
“My roommate won’t be back until tomorrow, so Hyunjin should be fine here for a while.”
Changbin pursed his lips, rocking back on his feet. “Well…”
“Do you feel like getting a cup of coffee?”
Changbin and I were both taken aback by my request.
“That sounds nice,” he said quietly, appearing unusually shy as he refused to meet my gaze.
Changbin and I ensured that Hyunjin would wake up to powerful painkillers before walking together to the quaint coffee shop nestled at the end of the block. “Should I treat you?” I asked. “I feel bad that you had to drag my brother’s sorry ass from the party.”
Changbin chuckled. “Hyunjin’s my friend, and I did get some decent video footage for my troubles.”
I laughed as I recalled the short clip of my brother rather unattractively swiveling his hips to a poor remix of a popular K-Pop idol song. Perhaps in another life, Hyunjin could have made a decent performer. However, given the intoxicated component to his impromptu show, I supposed he might have been laughed out of his audition.
“Vanilla latte please,” I smiled pleasantly at the cashier whose blood-shot eyes clearly exposed her late-night activities.
“I’ll have the same.”
“Are you copying me?”
“You have good taste,” Changbin said, and I paused as I processed his words.
Was he flirting with me?
Pushing that ridiculous notion aside, I found us a small table amidst the busy college students furiously working on the essays they had spent the weekend neglecting. It reminded me that I had also put off my Chemistry lab report for far too long. Yet, the idea of balancing equations of which I had the faintest understanding was incredibly unappealing.
The sweet scent of vanilla was preferable, and I sipped at the warm beverage greedily. “Why did Chan leave so early?”
“I sort of ditched him,” Changbin admitted.
“Why?” I asked. “I mean, I know Chan can be dull, but he’s better than the majority of those people.”
Changbin shrugged. “I was trying to find Hyunjin.”
“My brother is clueless sometimes,” I said, mindlessly watching the steam rise from my cup. “I didn’t expect him to go that far.”
“He’s never been that drunk before,” Changbin added.
“No more parties for Hyunjin.”
“What about you?” Changbin inquired, a not-so-innocent look drawn across his features.
“Me?”
“Hyungwon’s parties are always like that,” Changbin scoffed. “Your precious boyfriend should have taken you on a proper date.”
“Changbin!” I laughed, reaching over to take his hand. “You’re actually being considerate for once.”
“Call it a hangover.”
“Or,” I started with a teasing lilt. “Maybe you like me just a little?”
Changbin glanced down at our hands. “I never said I didn’t like you.”
I pulled my hand away, surprised by his strange confession. “Changbin, I’m sorry if I said something wrong.”
“It’s not you,” he insisted, struggling for the right words. “Look, Hanna, I want you to know that I don’t really care if you’re at our apartment.”
“But you always say-”
“-I know,” Changbin growled, clearly frustrated with himself. “Hanna, I need to tell you something.”
I nodded as a silent encouragement for him to continue. However, before Changbin could utter another syllable, his concentrated gaze had shifted, pointedly narrowing at something behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and let out a curse when I saw Hyungsik approaching.
“You have to forgive me!” Hyungsik immediately apologized, inserting himself between Changbin and I. Shaking my head, I had every intention of ordering him to leave after the melodrama that had happened last night.
But Hyungsik was persuasive, gently nudging a chocolate muffin in front of my coffee before flashing a dazzling smile in my direction. I swear my heart actually stopped beating for several seconds. “What are you doing here?”
“I saw you leave your apartment,” he admitted, ignoring Changbin’s glare as he pulled out a chair from the adjoining table.
I glanced back and forth between Hyungsik and Changbin. “I wasn’t exactly thrilled about last night.”
“It’s my fault,” he sighed. “I shouldn’t have trusted the liquor.”
“How much did you drink?”
“Maybe two cups?”
Fuck you, Hyungwon.
“It was spiked,” I said quietly, even though it was probably now obvious in hindsight.
“I know,” Hyungsik murmured, fingers slowly gliding across the tabletop to brush against mine. “Let me make it up to you?”
“Maybe,” I grinned, already knowing I would give in because I loved the way my heart played to a different beat around him.
“How about this Friday night? We could see a movie?”
“I’d like that.”
Hyungsik nodded, bashfully allowing his long bangs to frame his eyes. “You won’t regret this.”
——————————————————————
The following Friday, I tried to distract myself from my impending movie date with Hyungsik by requesting another guitar lesson from Changbin. “It’s early,” the younger snapped into the phone.
“I’m already in the library,” I said, running my hand along the smooth edges of my guitar.
Changbin let out a noise of frustration. “Give me twenty minutes.”
The wait was well worth it when Changbin showed up wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, hair betraying the fact that he had obviously just rolled out of bed. “What a concept,” I remarked.
Changbin dropped his guitar case on top of our table. “Shut up.”
Thereafter, our lesson progressed smoothly, Changbin introducing me to a new series of complicated chords that only brought an immense feeling of satisfaction when I eventually mastered them. “I’m a quick learner,” I bragged in response to the impressed look on his face.
“Maybe when you can play an entire song,” Changbin grumbled, plucking at the strings of his own Savannah model guitar.
“What songs have you been working on?” I asked conversationally as I started to re-case my guitar.
“Nothing much,” Changbin said, fingers hovering around the fretboard.
“You could always play me something,” I suggested. “I’m a good listener.”
Changbin seemed to hesitate as if experiencing internal conflict, before nodding once. “I don’t want to hear any bullshit when I’m done,” he reproached snappishly, temper flaring once again.
I resisted the urge to offer a witty retort. Instead, I patiently waited as he re-adjusted the guitar in his lap, propping the curve onto his thigh. Changbin’s elegant playing soon filled the empty study room, gentle triad chords forming an unfamiliar melody. It was pleasant all the same, but I was still surprised to hear Changbin start to sing.
Several lines of elegantly arranged lyrics that felt strangely familiar.
“That’s beautiful, Changbin,” I complimented the younger when he finished playing, enjoying his accompanying blush. “The lyrics are really personal. Did you write them about somebody?”
Changbin froze, fingers halting their movements against the strings as a wave of frightening anger settled into his features. He stood at once, rushing to pack up his guitar, shoulders tense as he worked. “I think we’ve done enough today,” he finally said, ignoring my protests.
And I could do nothing to change his mind.
——————————————————————————–
I was still shaken from my encounter with Changbin when I met Hyungsik that evening. The air between us was strangely awkward as we stood in tense silence for our tickets. It was probably my fault because I had been in a really bad mood ever since I left the study room earlier, clueless as to why I had upset Changbin. Nevertheless, I was grateful when we finally entered the theatre because it gave our unusual quietness justification when the title credits started to roll down the screen.
What was going on? Why did I feel so guilty?
It was only once we were halfway through the film that I realized I had no idea what was actually happening. The entirety of my attention had been focused on Changbin, unable to think about anything else other than the curious puzzle he had made of our last encounter together. Why had he acted that way?
After the film ended, Hyungsik and I walked outside together. “Are you alright, Hanna?” he asked sweetly, eyes full of concern.
“I’m fine,” I reassured him, even as the lie sat heavy in the pit of my stomach.
We went for coffee afterward, and I refused Hyungsik’s generosity, offering to buy our coffees in return for the movie tickets. “I don’t mind,” he had said, but I brushed him aside without really meaning to.
Hyungsik went to find us a table as I waited for our order, glancing nervously at the clock when I realized it was still pretty early. Was I about to ruin my chances with him? I wondered as I brought our coffees to the small booth by the window. Hyungsik took his order gratefully while I wordlessly sat down across from him. Did I even really care that this might be our first and last date?
“Open mic,” he said, snapping me to attention.
I followed his gaze to the stage. “Do you want to play?”
He smirked. “Only if you play with me.”
Of course, the whole reason why I started my lessons with Changbin was for this exact moment. So, I allowed Hyungsik to drag me to the stage, handing me an unfamiliar guitar as we occupied two of the stools lining the edge of the wooden platform. “What should we play?”
“Something easy,” he said, riffing a familiar tune that I was able to easily follow, despite the strange sensation that something was clearly amiss.
It wasn’t the same without Changbin.
“You play really well,” Hyungsik complimented me, sighing when I didn’t respond. “Let’s go outside for some air.”
I readily agreed to his suggestion, abandoning our instruments as we greeted the cool night air. “I’m sorry,” I told him. “I had a really bad day.”
Hyungsik shrugged while letting out a sigh. “It’s alright, Hanna, I can tell when a girl isn’t into me.”
I perked up at his insinuation. “That’s not true-”
“It’s fine,” he interrupted. “You don’t have to force something between us.”
I sighed in defeat. “I don’t know what happened.”
“People change,” Hyungsik said. “Feelings change too, sometimes we don’t even realize how we really feel until it’s too late.”
------------------------------------------
Hyungsik’s advice haunted me for the rest of the evening, to the point where I could excuse my mindlessness as overthinking our earlier encounter. I was also acting completely out of character, something that Han Jisung was more than willing to take advantage of to benefit himself.
You see, I wasn’t a big fan of offering my extensive knowledge to the younger guys, but Jisung was always astute when it came to taking advantage of our dynamic. I knew he, of all people, would understand what was going on between me and Changbin. Which is why I found myself reacting to the plea for help he sent out several minutes ago via a long, convoluted text message.
“Changbin was weird today,” I later told Jisung, having agreed to proofread the younger’s English assignment.
“Hmm?” he asked distractedly, fingers tracing along with the words in his textbook.
“He played me a song,” I said. “I guess it’s supposed to be for your next album? It was really beautiful, but he was mad when I asked him if he wrote the lyrics for someone.”
Jisung glanced up at that, quirking an eyebrow. “Really?”
“I didn’t mean to offend him,” I shrugged, carding my fingers through my hair worriedly.
“Do you remember the lyrics?”
I recalled them easily and Jisung let out an unnecessarily exaggerated sigh, looking at me like I was the one having trouble with homework. “You’re completely deaf, you know.”
I frowned at the insult. “Excuse me?”
“He wrote that song about you, idiot,” Jisung scoffed. “Changbin likes you.”
I blinked twice. “What?”
“Changbin likes you,” Jisung repeated, slamming his book closed. “I wasn’t supposed to say anything, but I’m really fed up with the way he looks at you like you broke his favorite toy. Which is his probably his electric guitar, thanks for asking.”
“Changbin doesn’t like me,” I frowned, soaking in the absurdity of Jisung’s claim. “I mean, if I suddenly went missing tomorrow, I doubt he would even notice.”
“Oh, he would definitely notice,” Jisung said. “Then again, if you did disappear for a while, then I wouldn’t have to deal with him brooding in the middle of the studio floor while I’m trying to work.”
“That’s impossible,” I insisted, even as I wavered in consideration of his claim. Because Jisung didn’t lie about these kinds of things. Seungmin? Perhaps, especially if it was for some practical joke. But Jisung? “Why tell me now?”
“I’m telling you because you’re flirting with this Hyungsik guy and Changbin hates it. You think he wrote that song because he just felt like it? Music has always been Changbin’s way of dealing with his emotions.”
“He should have told me,” I said, suddenly feeling a barrage of guilt because I really had no idea that the younger actually reserved feelings for me. Did that mean his hateful comments were actually a way to shield his true feelings? Because they had certainly gotten worse after I introduced Hyungsik.
“When would he have told you?” Jisung asked. “While you were still constantly talking about how much you liked another guy?”
“Are you trying to make me feel bad?” I frowned.
“I’m trying to tell you the truth,” Jisung tsked. “It’s up to you to decide what you do with it.”
——————————————————————————-
I didn’t bother knocking on the basement door. Instead, I knew it was better to approach Changbin unexpectedly. Because then he wouldn’t have some sort of rehearsed speech ready to counter my interruption.
“Hanna?” Changbin immediately questioned as I slowly walked up to his desk. “What are you doing here?”
“You shouldn’t have lied to me, Binnie,” I grinned, enjoying the way his mouth fell open upon hearing the nickname.
I leaned back against the desk, studying the way Changbin’s expression had morphed into one of complete disbelief. “What are you talking about?”
“You should know,” I teased him, carefully easing his chair back away from the desk, the small wheels on the bottom rolling across the linoleum floor.
I decided to act before either of us had time to think.
I straddled Changbin’s lap, encouraging his hands to fit around my waist as I slowly started pressing a trail of kisses down the side of his jawline. “Hanna?” Changbin faintly called, fingers squeezing into the skin above my hips as if trying to gain my attention.
I willingly obeyed. “Hmm?”
Changbin’s eyes widened. “What’s going on?”
I offered him a teasing smirk, leaning in close. “I know you like me, Changbin. If you wanted to keep it a secret, then you shouldn’t have told Jisung.”
Changbin cursed as I smoothed my hands across his chest. “I wasn’t going to tell you.”
“I know,” I pouted. “But how would I have known to do this, then?”
Changbin was completely unprepared for the faint brush of my lips across the seam of his mouth. But I was only trying to soften him, parting my lips sensually against his own as I allowed my tongue to trace the chapped ridges. Changbin opened wider against an instinctive gasp and I took advantage of the opportunity to lave my tongue against his own, pulling back to study his reaction.
“Can you handle more?”
“More?”
I reached down for the hem of my t-shirt, removing the cheap fabric and carelessly tossing it into the floor. “I want to show you that I care.”
I ran my thumb across the swollen purse of his lips. Changbin’s tongue greeted the rough pad of the wandering digit. “Why?”
“Because I like you too,” I said, reaching out to cradle my hand against the side of his head, holding him in a place for another long kiss, savoring the novel sensation of his touch.
I rocked my hips forward, delighting in the way his breathing hitched, moan vibrating against my mouth. I started a pattern, pulling back and forth along the firm foundation of his thighs to distract him as my hands wandered down to the waistband of his jeans. I quickly noticed that he was already aroused, straining against the tight material, responding to my advances with willing compliance. It was all I needed to take the next step because the last thing I wanted was to move too fast. Changbin was far more sensitive than he allowed others to perceive, and I knew he had a kind heart that was far more vulnerable to the whims of those he desperately wanted to trust.
Changbin inhaled sharply, eyes wide and unblinking as he watched my fingers slowly undo his belt. “I think I’d like to feel your cock,” I admitted, making sure to whisper the words soothingly into his eager ears.
“R-really?” he stuttered, losing focus when my hand wrapped around his pulsing dick, warm beneath my calloused fingers.
“Would you like that?” I asked him, running my vacant hand under his tight t-shirt, surprised to feel the muscle shaping his abdomen.
“Please,” he whined, fingers digging harder into my sides.
“You should have told me before,” I said, leaning back to allow myself enough space to pull up my skirt, leaving it in a thin bundle above my hips. Changbin’s hands finally smoothed down my waist, fingering the edges of my red satin panties while massaging across the waistband with rapt attention.
“I’ve wanted you since Freshman year,” Changbin admitted, and I enjoyed this new dimension to his self-proclaimed “dark” character. A raw honesty that only continued to feed my growing attraction for him.
I gripped his cock harder, squeezing at his sensitive tip, colored with a burning red that betrayed his desire. I shifted my panties to the side, feeling the muscles in my thighs scream in protest as I lifted myself above Changbin’s lap, lowering slowly, easy and wet.
Changbin released a faint moan, eyes threatening to shut despite his attempts to keep them open. I brushed my fingers across the flesh of their lids, feeling his lashes flutter against the pads. I brought our foreheads together intimately, allowing him to maintain the eye contact he desperately sought. “Changbin,” I softly gasped, feeling him deep inside, cock stretching my walls to accommodate our coupling.
“You’re beautiful,” he said in return, looking down at where he disappeared inside, lips falling apart around a gorgeous moan that not even his music compositions could compete.
My thumbs circled leisurely at the sharp juncture of his chin, grounding me as I slowly started to move on his lap, rolling back before pushing down hard again to stimulate a rhythm. The steady hitches in Changbin’s breathing alerted me to his pleasure, and that’s everything I wanted to give him. I moved faster, hoping to earn more of those seductive deep-throated moans from the base of his throat, watching him swallow hard as sweat started to gather on his smooth skin.
“Come inside,” I told him, noticing the way his earnest thrusts were starting to stutter, falling out of beat with the melody of our fucking.
“Are you sure?” he asked, and I was pleased that he had the wherewithal to question what might have been a careless decision.
“I’m on the pill,” I reassured him, kissing along the inviting skin of his collarbone.
“Feels good,” he panted, bangs sticking to his forehead the longer we moved together, harmonious chorus reaching its final crescendo.
His moans filled the studio when he finally came, hot and sticky inside, lips pressing grateful kisses against whatever flesh he could find. His arms held me close, as if afraid to let go, and I allowed the delicate chord to snap, chanting his name softly as my forehead fell onto his shoulder, gasping for more oxygen to recover my screaming lungs.
Silence descended between us like a necessary embrace.
But it wasn’t awkward because neither of us held onto any insecurities. Instead, we decided it was better to open ourselves to this possibility, hands exploring skin decorated with rivulets of salty wetness. Because it was easier to trust when you held mutual affection, holding their gaze to see past the depths of the surface.
“Do you still want me out of the apartment?” I teased him eventually, just to break the quiet, clenching tightly around his flaccid cock.
Changbin’s head fell against the center of my chest, his panting breaths fanning out across my skin. “I want you in my bed.”
“Next time,” I promised him, threading my fingers through the sweat-caked strands of his thick black hair.
————————————————————————–
“What the hell is this!”
The last thing I needed to hear upon waking up the next morning was Jisung’s shrill voice infiltrating my post-orgasm induced haze. Changbin grunted from next to me, pulling me even closer to his overheated body. “Tell him to go away.”
“Get the fuck out, Jisung,” I croaked, my voice hoarse from sleep.
“Are you two naked?”
“Chan?” I questioned wearily, lifting my head just enough to catch a faint glimpse of his blonde hair.
“What time is it?” Changbin asked, raspy tone close to my ear.
“10?”
“Shit!” he cursed. “I have class soon.”
“Will the two of you explain what’s going on?” Jisung demanded, shrieking when Changbin left the couch, fully nude as he rummaged for his clothes.
I simply enjoyed the view.
“What the hell, Changbin?” Chan growled at his younger friend.
Changbin promptly ignored both of his group members, pressing a hasty kiss to my forehead before rushing up the staircase, footsteps heavy as he frantically tried to make his lecture on time. Which, unfortunately, left me alone to deal with the aftermath of our passionate night.
“You and Changbin had sex?” Chan gasped. “In our studio!”
“On top of my lyrics?” Jisung screeched, pushing the aforementioned stack of papers into a messy pile on the floor.
I rolled my eyes at his dramatics. “He came inside.”
“That’s way too much information,” Chan sighed, grimacing as he picked up my clothes to toss in my direction.
I took them gratefully, working to dress beneath the thin coverage of the blanket Changbin had found last night before we passed out on the couch in the studio. “What’s the big deal?”
“Since when are you and Changbin a thing?” Chan asked, glaring down at me.
“I shouldn’t have said anything!” Jisung lamented, falling to his knees to shuffle through his papers.
“I guess since last night?” I grinned.
“Damn you move fast,” Chan tsked, joining Jisung in his attempts to re-organize his messy stacks.
“He’s a good fuck,” I remarked, laughing when Jisung started to splutter out dozens of curses as he frantically tried to finish his work.
——————————————————————————
“Why does it always have to be my friends?” Hyunjin questioned later on during lunch.
I sipped at my orange juice. “I guess you have really attractive friends?”
“It was definitely the guitar lessons,” Minho insisted. “They had all that time alone together.”
“But it’s still Changbin,” Seungmin frowned. “Is he blackmailing you?”
Jeongin gasped. “I knew it!”
“Stop it you two,” I said. “He’s not blackmailing me.”
“And did you really have to fuck in front of Jisung and Chan?” Woojin asked. “Jisung hasn’t stopped crying about it all morning.”
“We didn’t fuck in front of them,” I rolled my eyes. “You guys aren’t very supportive.”
“We’re in denial, Hanna,” Felix explained. “You and Changbin have never really gotten along.”
“It is strange,” Hyunjin agreed. “What happened?”
“He played me a song,” I shrugged, enjoying the matching looks of confusion adorning their expressions.
“Speaking of which,” Minho giggled, rubbing his hands together conspiratorially. “Changbin’s coming.”
I straightened up immediately, holding my breath as the dark-haired man stood at the edge of the table next to me. He glanced around at the others, running his fingers through his messy hair, uncombed from his hasty departure that morning. “Can I talk to you alone, Hanna?”
I anxiously followed him outside, unsure of what to expect. Changbin sat down on one of the benches lining the main sidewalk, allowing his bag to fall from his shoulder. I joined him quietly, trying to figure out the mask he had chosen to wear. “I want to talk about last night.”
I swallowed hard. “Do you regret it?”
He looked up immediately. “Of course not!”
I let out a sigh of relief. “I think I almost had a small heart attack.”
Changbin grinned, and it did wonders for the narrow aspect of his eyes. “What were you thinking?”
I bit my lower lip worriedly. “I don’t really know. It was kind of sudden, but I think I really like you Changbin.”
“What about Hyungsik?”
“He really wasn’t my type.”
“And I’m your type?” he asked.
“You must be,” I said. “I really like the way you fuck.”
Changbin scoffed. “Is that all?”
“You’re great at the guitar.”
“I’m trying to be serious.”
“I know,” I said, reaching over to poke gently at his chest. “You have a good heart. Otherwise, I don’t know how you’ve managed to put up with me.”
“I’ve had a crush on you since high school,” Changbin admitted. “It got worse Freshman year.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I didn’t think you’d feel the same way,” Changbin admitted. “You have no idea how turned on I was when you came in last night.”
“That was the goal,” I joked. “But seriously, I can’t believe I thought you didn’t care about me.”
“That was my fault,” Changbin said. “I didn’t make it easy on you.”
“It’s my fault too,” I sighed wistfully. “I always go after the wrong guy.”
“Don’t tell Chan that.”
“He already knows.”
Changbin laughed before easing in closer. “Does this mean I’m the right guy?”
I placed a quick kiss on his perfect lips. “I think so.”
“I’ll just have to prove it to you.”
“And I can’t wait,” I whispered into the seam of his lips, losing myself in our passionate embrace.
————————————————————————————–
I didn’t mind the crowds as they were becoming increasingly commonplace at their concerts. I learned how to tune out the screaming women, rolling my eyes whenever they tried to touch one of the boys onstage. I really had no room to talk since I could barely keep my hands off the dark-eyed lead guitarist who always managed to leave me increasingly desperate.
“Who’s your favorite member?” I asked one of the girls sitting next to me. She had been steadily growing drunker as the night progressed, squealing loudly whenever a new song started.
“Changbin,” the girl nodded, giggling when the man in question smirked in our direction.
But I knew he wasn’t looking at her.
“I think I like him too.”
And this time, I knew I had made the right decision.

Stray Kids Headcanon: As Boyfriends.
A/N: I spent over two and a half hours writing this, I hope you fucking enjoy it. Requests are open. (I swear, if the fucking gifs don’t work, I’m gonna sue my mother for making me exist).
Requested: No. By Who: my fucking imagination.
Word Count: 2052.
Not proofread or edited.
BANG CHAN
extremely loyal but also a bit of a shameless flirt, so he would need a partner that is able to snap him out of that habit
doesn’t overreact in fights, is actually pretty calm and rarely loses his temper
indecisive, so his partner would nearly definitely always end up being the one picking where you two eat or going on vacation together, stuff like that
loves when you compliment him but will give you ten more for every single one you give him, he just wants to make you feel loved
I feel like he would really enjoy simple date nights at home like when you two have a movie night or cook together, it doesn’t matter what you do, he just wants to be with you
but, I also feel like he is a big money spender, so i feel like he would spend a lot of his money buying you unnecessary gifts when he travels and treating you to really expensive and fancy dates whenever it is possible for him to do so
Tumblr media
KIM WOOJIN
impulsive, probably really into spontaneous sex, maybe even public but he wouldn’t do anything you weren’t comfortable with even if you were misbehaving (I think he’s a dom but eh, who knows, his personality seems a bit sub to me, so maybe a switch, who knows?)
easily jealous, will actually hit a guy if he won’t leave you alone, yelling at anyone who looks at you the wrong way and don’t get me started on if some dude groped you or slapped your ass, cute little Woojin is about to unleash his inner WWE wrestler
would love being near you but also needs his alone time, so sometimes he would just turn his phone off for a couple of hours, just to have a bit of time to himself and you understand that, so you’re all good, no fighting about it, except maybe the first time he does it without letting you know, making you worry for him when he wasn’t replying
gets bored easily and is probably really adventurous, so sometimes you two would just be watching TV when he’ll say, ‘wanna go rock climbing?’ or ‘I want to go on a hike this weekend, you in?’ something like that.
problem solver, you got an issue? Tell him. Will encourage you to be open with your feelings and he will try his hardest to find a solution and make you feel happy and content again (p.s. he loves your smile)
his partner will most likely plan most of the dates but he would really love them if they had to do with something active, like ziplining or ice skating, even just going through a haunted house will really excite him (but be ready for him to cling onto you whenever there is a jump scare)
Tumblr media
LEE MINHO
wants to know everything about you, might come off as a little nosy but really, he just wants to feel like he knows you better than anyone else because that would make him feel really proud
it would probably take a bit of time for him to open up to you and also, he would probably be the most cautious member when it came to announcing your relationship to the stays
would tease you a lot but he does it out of love, sort of like a little boy pulling his crush’s hair to get her attention (except he already has your attention, have you seen him?)
wouldn’t let anyone else’s thoughts of you change his opinion, if he thinks your beautiful then he thinks you’re beautiful, if he thinks you’re his soulmate and the most intelligent person he has ever met, then you’re his soulmate and the most intelligent person he’s ever met, he doesn’t care about what others think of you or your relationship as long as you are both happy, healthy and together
I swear, he’s a psychic, knows what his partner is thinking before they do. notices when his partner is sad, even when they try to hide it. he can tell how his partner is feeling just by the littlest things and he always tries his best to make them smile and feel better
is very good at knowing when his partner is lying, will find their tells very quickly and he would be really sad if they were lying about something that could hint at them cheating but he would feel even worse if they lied about their problems as to not ‘burden’ him. he wants to know about their problems, so he can help.
Tumblr media
SEO CHANGBIN
always wants your attention, probably a bit clingy but not in the annoying way, in the cute way, would love just talking with you, no phones or anything, just you two, focused on each other
dramatic, always showing you off and yelling about how pretty you are and about how perfect he finds you, even when you’re not there with him
i feel like he’s actually really sensitive (i mean, when chan wrote that letter, remember?), so, there’s a chance a chance that when you guys argue he would start crying, most likely after though because he wouldn’t want you to see him break down
low maintenance, you don’t need to do much to make him happy, kiss his cheek and ruffle his hair affectionately and damn bitch, you got yourself a tamed and cheery pup
would probably really like singing with you, so, look out for all of those karaoke dates, even if you do sound like you’ve just swallowed a pineapple whole, including the skin and leaves (leaves, stalks? i don’t fucking know)
will always try to impress you, showing you new dances and raps, really wants to make you proud (even though you obviously already are)
Tumblr media
HWANG HYUNJIN
hates fighting with you, so he tries to quickly resolve fights but if he’s actually really pissed off then it would probably end up with him breaking down and you having to comfort him
probably didn’t make the first move but was definitely crushing on you and really excited when you approached him and introduced yourself
will blush whenever you kiss his cheek or doing anything affectionate, especially in public or in front of the members, no matter how long you’ve been dating
really romantic, gets you flowers all the time, always takes you out for a fancy dinner whenever he sees you after a long time, buys you cute gifts, etc.
tells you that he loves you all the time. no matter the situation, when you leave the room, come back to the room, go out, when you wake up or at just random times, he just blurts it out. you two could be paintballing on opposite teams but he would still yell those three words across the field to you.
really loves holding your hands or just touching you in general (sexual and not 😉), puts his hand on your thigh when you two are in the car, always has his arm around your shoulders, kisses your jaw head every time you hug
Tumblr media
HAN JISUNG
for some unknown reason i feel like he would have really high standards, so his future partner better feel fucking good if he chooses to be with her
gets shit done, you need to pack? bitch it’s done before you get to your bedroom. you want food? he’s already on the phone calling the local pizza place.
would notice all the little things about you, like the way you bite your nails or pull at your hair when you’re annoyed. he would be able to easily figure out how you’re feeling because of his observations
loves planning dates with you and always has the most ridiculous but ultimately hilarious and really fun ideas.
loyal as fuck, no hoe is getting their hands on your man, probably really sassy with anyone that hits on him.
bit picky about everything but i think he would try his best to compromise with you when it comes to certain things.
Tumblr media
LEE FELIX
Plays video games a lot which really annoys you sometimes and you tend push him off the bed if he accidentally yells at you when you unintentionally distract him.
Really talkative and has the most random conversations with you but you don’t mind because they either turn out really cute or funny as all hell. Said conversations tend to happen at 3am in the kitchen while you two eat ice cream out of a tub with you sitting on the counter and Felix standing between your legs.
Loves taking you everywhere, whether that be to events, dance practice, concerts, on tour, everything. He just wants to be as close to you as possible and refuses to let anything get in the way of that.
Tends to show up late to dates but it definitely isn’t intentional, he just loses track of time or on some occasions dance practice, recording or song writing ran late. Always makes it up to you though.
A bit crazy but I mean so are you if he agreed to date you. Dance battles, food fights and hysterical laughter are all very common within your relationship and you both adore those regular occurrences.
Something you are very jealous of is his ability to look like the human definition of a rotten egg (bitch, he could never look anything less than perfect) and then, 10 minutes later, this GREEK MOTHERFUCKING GOD walks out of the damn bathroom.
Tumblr media
KIM SEUNGMIN
really good problem solver and refuses to let arguments get out of hand. He doesn’t want you to be yelling at him when you could be cuddling or making out or watching tv or making music or laughing (etc.) with him.
does random things for you, like grabbing your phone for you, carrying your bag, bringing your dishes to the sink, answering your phone (if you say he can because you’re busy doing something), brushing your hair and more. He just likes helping you out as much as possible even if it’s with little mediocre tasks.
is very, very honest with you. Will tell you the truth about anything, how an outfit looks on you, his feelings, what happened to your leftovers, that rash on his ass (CUNT, WHAT-).
likes easy dates, going to the cinema, aquarium or zoo, a small picnic, a music festival maybe, even an art museum.
sometimes gets insecure and needs you to help him out of that bottomless pit, like, when he had so much trouble confessing to you because of his fear of rejection, it was fine though seeing as you liked him back (obviously! Who wouldn’t?)
is randomly silent sometimes which worries you but most of the time he’s either staring at you or daydreaming about you.
Tumblr media
YANG JEONGIN
sometimes gets randomly moody but tries his best not to take it out on you and instead, walks out of the room to try and calm himself down or sometimes he just ignores you, so he doesn’t accidentally hurt your feelings, even though that would end up annoying you, lol.
Really likes receiving sentimental gifts, he doesn’t care if it’s not expensive or designer, he would definitely love a scrapbook or photo album about your relationship more than some stupid Gucci belt (can’t say the same for Taehyung though, lollll, I’m not funny).
Whenever you guys fought, he would leave because he hated the drama of it all. He would probably write you a letter as a form of apology. Speaking of letters, love letters! Or poems! Wait! Songs, he would fucking write songs for and about you, yes. Bitch!
Always sees the best in you and literally nothing about you seems like a flaw to him. In his opinion, you are legitimately perfect and bitch, if you tried to change anything, just know that this cutie would throw you over his shoulder before you even tried to change your style to look like everyone else.
He would love every second he spent with you, always taking pictures of you and everything you guys do, he’s just really fucking cute, which we all obviously already know.
If you rejected him because you were worried about him hurting you, get ready for this determined boy to prove you wrong, if he wants you, he’s going to get you (as long as it doesn’t make you uncomfortable).

volleyball player! skz
currently watching: haikyuu!! season 2
note: my posts recently have sucked ass, so i’m trying to make up for that by writing some longer and better imagines! i am currently revising some of my imagines so if they seem different since when you first read them that’s why :) as always, send requests!
bang chan
okay so obviously he’s captain
and he has no clue why
he’s not the best player on the team
BUT everyone looks up to him
and he’s a great leader
he plays back row
he gets hot and rolls his sleeves up to show his arms ;)
when the team doesn’t win he still treats them to a meal because they ALWAYS try their hardest
gets really scary when mad but most of the time he’s chill
sometimes he’s too nice just because he hates yelling especially when it comes to his teammates
honestly one of the best captains ever
lee minho
also a manager!
he only joined because he saw jisung was joining!
doesn’t really mind though because everyone’s hot!
he’s really chill and doesn’t know half the things that are going on
all he knows is that during warm ups and practices he gets the balls that fly across the gym
in all honesty he really wants to play with everyone but he’s too afraid to ask especially because they might make fun of him
when he finally gets the courage to ask he only asks chan for help
so they have secret lessons after practice for an hour
eventually everyone finds out but they pretend they don’t know anything because they’re lowkey shipping them together they’re glad minho wants to learn for the team
seo changbin
okay
i know this boy’s a libero
you know this boy’s a libero
BUT IT’S NOT BECAUSE HE’S SHORT!!!
he is very muscular and he’s so good at receiving the ball
even when the strongest balls are hurled at him his body barely moves
everyone makes fun of his height
he does like hitting but he knows he’s not going to help the team by being a hitter so he stays as a libero
he thinks he’s lucky because the libero uniform looks way better on him than the regular uniforms do
so it’s a win win situation
hwang hyunjin
we all know this boy is pretty tall compared to the rest of skz
so he’d be middle blocker (probably the only player that is their position because of his height)
his hits are so hard that the opposing team can’t process what’s going on
he looked so intimidating that everyone was scared to talk to him when he first joined the team
he’s pretty well known to other teams in the country
most teams that play against them talk about how scary hyunjin looks but after the game hyunjin apologizes to anyone he’s hurt or scared and everyone’s thrown off by how kind he is
works himself really hard because he doesn’t just wanna be known for his looks
han jisung
used to play as setter BUT now is an opposite hitter!!!
he’s actually really serious when playing volleyball compared to his energetic personality
he’s like a whole new person
other players are also thrown off by the way jisung plays because he seems to be very playful before the game
he doesn’t look too intimidating but then he plays and everyone get scared
many teams are scared of team skz
he’s been playing for a little while so he’s always trying to help his teammates when they’re struggling
most of the team looks up to jisung almost as much as woojin and chan
lee felix
the ace! right side hitter!
he’s still somewhat of a beginner but he has a natural talent for volleyball
when he first joined the team everyone was like “are you sure you’ve never played before?”
he’s so energetic when playing and sooo loud
he treated everyone like family from the beginning
gets really annoying when a game’s about to start because of all the anxiousness
his neighbor is coincidentally changbin so they walk to school and walk from school together
his favorite thing isn’t winning but it’s seeing all the special moves the other teams have so he can learn them and eventually use them against other teams
kim seungmin
setter
i feel like seungmin just goes with the flow and is really chiil when playing volleyball
the team really has to push him to be aggressive
when he finally comes around and wants to beat the other team he’s such a good player
he adapts to the opposite team’s playing strategy really quickly and uses this to his advantage by throwing off the other team
he’s somewhat lonely (being the team’s only setter) but jisung helps him a lot during practice
he gets really happy when he wins a point (setter dump) and the team’s so happy for him
he also adapts to his team’s players really well so everything flows smoothly on the court
yang jeongin
he’s played different positions before so his position changes depending on who they need where
but mainly he’s a back row player (switches out with libero)
he’s played since he was little so it’s weird being the youngest on the team and older players asking him for help
he hates when people other than him mess with his team
he transferred schools quite often so he knows and played for a lot of the teams they play against
one time he forgot what team he was playing for and went on the opposing team’s court
although he misses playing for other teams he wouldn’t want to go back because he’s learned so much from this team

Chapter 1: Rebels
[Under the cut]
“Minho,” Chan’s voice said suddenly over the com in Minho’s ear, startling him and causing him to lose his focus on the lock he was currently attempting to pick. “Status update.”
“Would be going significantly faster if you stopped asking for status updates every 5 seconds,” Minho gritted out, forcing his attention back on the difficult lock. Behind him, Felix snickered at his irritation. He was good at what he did, but this lock was tough and he had already been trying to pick it for too long. Every second that the locking mechanism didn’t click into place, more anxiety twisted in Minho’s belly. Wiping his hands quickly on his pants, he focused his entire attention back on the lock.
Tickling at the back of his mind was the knowledge that Changbin could only keep the security system at bay and Jeongin could only keep the security guards engaged for so long before they remembered that they had a job to attend to. These thoughts only succeeded in making Minho’s hands sweatier, making the small metal tools he was working with feel slippery and hard to work with.
Clenching his jaw, Minho carefully worked his pick in the lock, pressing down the pins in the mechanism. The tiny, satisfying click it suddenly let out made him pause. He did it. He stared at it with wide eyes for one moment before snapping out of it. He breathed out all of the anxiety that had been crushing his lungs, and a smug smile broke out on his face. Looking back at Felix, Minho wiggled his eyes mischievously and pushed the door open with a flourish.
“It’s open,” he whispered smugly.
“About damn time,” Changbin murmured, obviously trying to sound annoyed but it just sounded relieved.
Stowing his tools in his pocket and wiping the sweat off his still slightly shaky hands, Minho pushed the door open a little bit more. It was small and dark and looked like nothing more than a storage room at first glance. The earlier anxiety had completely replaced itself with giddy excitement as Minho moved in and flipped on the light, illuminating the room in the same harsh fluorescent lighting that lit the rest of the building. His grin grew wider as he looked at all of the shelves which were filled with bricks of white powder.
“You have 68 seconds to get in there, fill the bags, and get out,” Changbin informed them. “I can try to keep the system down longer, but they’ll start to notice.”
“Aye, aye, cap-Bin” Minho giggled quietly, unable to contain his glee. A quick glance at Felix showed that the other boy felt the same excitement upon seeing everything in front of them. Sharing a grin, Minho and Felix moved into the room and started filling the backpacks as quickly as they could.
“Time to get a move on,” Chan said, his voice tense with worry. “Whatever you have is plenty.” Minho heard Felix zip up his bag behind him, but he couldn’t force himself to leave just yet, he needed to take more. Grabbing another brick, Minho shoved it into the already overflowing backpack.
“ Now , Minho,” Changbin demanded over the com. He sounded annoyed, but Minho knew that he was just worried. Neither Chanbin nor Chan liked to send the rest of them into unfamiliar locations alone, especially when it was a location they couldn't drop into at a moment’s notice if something went wrong. Minho grabbed one last brick of the white powder, slipping it into the pocket of his hoodie, before zipping up his backpack and following Felix into the hallway. Felix was giving him a look that Minho didn’t have time to decipher as he pulled the door closed.
Ignoring Felix’s look, for now, he pressed himself up against the wall and motioned for Felix to do the same. It wouldn’t do them any good to leave here if they were just going to run into the guards’ waiting arms because they were stupid enough to not check first. Holding his breath, Minho listened intently. When the only sound that he heard was Jeongin’s bright chatter with the guards over the com, he let out a breath and nodded for Felix to follow him down the hall.
“En route to the rendezvous,” Minho said lowly. They moved fast, keeping their steps light and staying close to the walls, out of sight of most of the cameras. They peeked out every once in a while so Changbin could keep track of their location through the building. Minho knew the way out, having studied a blueprint of the building before the job. He had to constantly remind himself that just because he knew the way out didn’t mean that he could let his guard down. Just because nothing had gone wrong up until this point, didn’t mean something couldn’t go wrong now.
Glancing back at Felix, Minho frowned when he saw the hardened look in his eyes. It was a look that reminded Minho too much of Felix’s past and Minho didn’t like it. Looking at the other’s hand, his frown deepened when he saw the gun, loaded and ready, in his hand. Minho made a mental note to talk to him about that later.
“We are waiting at the meeting point,” Woojin voiced over the com. Minho hummed in acknowledgment, turning his attention back to the bright, empty corridor. He stayed alert, really not wanting to get surprised or ambushed by anybody, especially with Felix being so on edge right now. He could practically feel the tension coming from the other, and that was never a good sign.
“You got a couple guards up here around the corner,” Changbin informed them. Minho glanced back at Felix and saw that he had readied his gun and was ready for a fight. “There should be a supply closet on your right,” Changbin continued. “Hide in there and I’ll let you know when they pass.” Minho ducked into the closet Changbin mentioned, dragging Felix in with him, and pushed the door closed behind them. It was dark, cramped, and smelled of cleaning supplies, but Minho could still make out the anger on Felix’s face as he glared holes into the door.
Keeping a vice-like grip on Felix’s wrist, Minho forced his gun to remain at Felix’s side. Sadness and unease settled heavily in Minho’s mind as he watched Felix continue to grit his teeth and glared at the door like he wanted to burst through it and kill every living thing on the other side. Heavy footsteps walked past the door of the little supply closet they were hiding in. Minho felt Felix’s fingers twitch on the gun, tightening around the handle and moving closer to the trigger.
Releasing Felix’s wrist, Minho placed a gentle hand over Felix’s on the gun. He grabbed Felix’s chin and forced him to stop glaring at the door and instead look into his eyes. This couldn’t happen right now. They were in too good of a position to have Felix check out and go berserk. But more than that, Minho really didn’t want Felix to do something that he would regret after the job.
The pointed glare Minho directed at him seemed to snap Felix back into himself. Looking at the ground guiltily, his fingers around the stock of the gun loosened, but Minho didn’t dare remove his hand until Felix moved to reholster the weapon. Minho breathed a small sigh of relief and squeezed Felix’s shoulder reassuringly, focusing again on the sounds of the hallway. He couldn’t hear the heavy footsteps outside anymore, but that didn’t mean much and since Changbin hadn’t given them the go-ahead to leave the room, they stayed put. Minho continued to gently hold Felix’s shoulder as they stood together in the dark, hoping to keep him grounded in reality.
“Okay, you’re clear,” Changbin finally said after what felt like eons in that too cramped closet. Minho gave Felix a questioning look, hoping that Felix was okay to keep going. Felix just gave a small nod, still mostly avoiding his eyes, and pressed passed Minho to open the door leaving Minho to trail behind.
~~~
Woojin drummed his fingers anxiously against the steering wheel of the rental car he sat in with Hyunjin. After hearing that the other team had almost been caught, he was anxious for them to reach the meeting point and make the handoff. While the job itself wasn’t particularly difficult, something about it made him uneasy and he would very much like it to be over as soon as possible. The pay for the job was too high for a simple theft and delivery. No matter what they were delivering, there’s no way anybody would pay this much for it. Something about it just didn’t feel right.
“Are you okay?” Hyunjin’s voice snapped Woojin out of his nervous rumination. Woojin looked over at him and immediately felt guilty by the concern in Hyunjin’s eyes.
“I’m fine, Jinnie,” Woojin reassured kindly, quirking his lips up into what he hoped was a reassuring smile. Judging from the suspicious look on Hyunjin’s face, he didn’t exactly succeed. But Hyunjin dropped the subject with a curt nod; the job was no place to discuss these kinds of things. Woojin sighed and looked back out the windshield, watching for Minho and Felix to make their way out of the building.
Finally, the two crept into the dark parking garage where Woojin and Hyunjin were waiting. Woojin almost leaped out of the car to greet them, but restrained himself and waited for them to swiftly make their way to the car. The two backdoors opened and Woojin watched as two heavy looking backpacks were dropped onto the car seats. Woojin sent a skeptical look to Minho, who’s front hoodie pocket pulled at the rest of his hoodie.
“Is that all of it?” he asked pointedly, deliberately keeping any accusation out of his words. He knew Minho tended to take more than what they needed and just keep it. While he knew that Minho wasn’t planning on using any of the extra drugs they had stolen, it was better not to keep them on around at all. Judging by the sheepish smile Minho gave him, he was right. Woojin watched as Minho reached into his bulging pocket, pulling out one more brick of the white powder, he put it on the seat next to the backpacks.
“Handoff crew,” Chan’s voice said over the com, “you need to go now.” Woojin simply hummed in reply, watching as the other team shut the back doors and stepped away, making their way to the getaway vehicle where Seungmin and Jisung were waiting.
Woojin pulled out of the parking garage and headed to the agreed-upon location for the delivery. The unease crept back into his mind as they got closer to the location. Fingers drumming the steering wheel anxiously, he examined his surroundings closely. He heard Chan telling Jeongin it was time for him to get out of there and meet up with the others in the getaway vehicle. It brought him some amount of comfort to hear that all the kids had made it out alright.
“Woojin?” Hyunjin’s concerned voice again pulled Woojin out of his thoughts. He glanced at Hyunjin, humming softly in acknowledgment.
“Are you sure your alright?” The question caused Woojin’s heart to clench and he directed what he hoped was a warm smile at the other.
“I already told you I’m fine,” he said, gently squeezing Hyunjin’s knee. Hyunjin didn’t look convinced, but they didn’t have time to dwell on it as they pulled up to the location.
Woojin sat in the car a moment, regarding the other car parking in front of them. He suppressed laughter at how stereotypically supervillain-esque it looked with its sleek, black paint and darkly tinted windows. A man in a suit with dark aviators stepped out of the car and again Woojin had to work very hard to school his features in a neutral business expression. Were they doing business with James Bond himself?
Nodding for Hyunjin to follow, Woojin stepped out of the car casually, forcing his face into a bored expression. Woojin watched as Hyunjin gathered the two backpacks and the extra brick. Woojin didn’t like having Hyunjin carry all of those drugs, but he needed to show Mr. Aviators that he was in charge here.
“Is that the merchandise?” Mr. Aviators asked, nodding to the bags that Hyunjin held.
“Might be,” Woojin hummed offhandedly, examining his nails. Despite the show of disinterest, he was very alert to the man in front of them. After a moment he crossed his arms loosely and looked back up at Mr. Aviators with an indifferent expression. “I guess you won’t actually figure that out until we get our money.” Mr. Aviators nodded once, moving back to the car, he reached in to pull something. Woojin kept his expression impassive and bored, but he felt Hyunjin at high alert beside him. Pulling out a briefcase, Mr. Aviators opened it and showed them the stacks of cash inside.
“That’s the agreed-upon amount?” Woojin asked suspiciously, eyeing the stacks. It seemed like plenty, but the whole situation made Woojin desperate to remain in charge. Despite Mr. Aviators just being some goon from the other party, he still felt the nerves pricking under his skin.
“Of course,” Mr. Aviators said promptly, giving a stiff nod. Woojin glanced at Hyunjin and nodded for him to go collect the briefcase. He watched as Hyunjin set down the backpacks and extra brick and walked to grab the case. Woojin kept his indifferent facade in place, but tension built in him as he watched Hyunjin get closer than comfort to Mr. Aviators and their car.
Hyunjin collected the case and hurried back to Woojin opening it for Woojin to inspect. In all honesty, Woojin didn’t care at all how much was in the case, but he was overwhelmingly glad that Hyunjin was back by his side. Taking the case with a satisfied nod, he flipped it closed and turned swiftly back toward his car. He heard Hyunjin toss the bags toward Mr. Aviators and hoped the boy was following him back to the car.
“Tell your boss,” Woojin said icily when he reached the car, “that next time, I would love to do business with him directly.” Tossing the briefcase into the backseat, Woojin got in the car. Without waiting for Hyunjin to buckle his seatbelt, he pulled away from the meeting spot and started heading away. The facade broke and he let out a shaky breath. Glancing over, Woojin saw Hyunjin slumped back in his seat, fingers idly picking at the threads in his jeans as he stared out the window. He must have felt the same unease about this whole thing that Woojin was feeling.
“Delivery made,” Woojin said into the com. “We have the cash.”
Seungmin was bouncing nervously in the driver’s seat, fiddling with the radio. Jisung kept sending him death glares because of his nervous fiddling, but he was too anxious to care. Initially, Jisung had tried in vain to get Seungmin to calm down, but eventually, he just gave up because Seungmin was just too nervous to console. He hated having to wait for the other’s to get out of jobs okay. He hated the waiting because it always just feels like they are all collectively waiting for the other shoe to drop.
He had been flipping incessantly through radio stations, Jisung had given up trying to make him stop at this point when the back doors were swung open, nearly causing him to shriek. Whipping around, he relaxed a little when he saw Felix and Minho climb into the vehicle.
“You can put the knife down,” Minho laughed awkwardly, glancing over at Felix. Seungmin followed his eyes and saw Felix had gone completely rigid, eyes locked on the knife that Seungmin didn’t even see Jisung pull. Seungmin watched apprehensively as Jisung blinked once, looked down at the knife, and then set it down. Seungmin watched as Felix’s eyes tracked the knife.
“If I knew pulling a knife would make you not be able to take your eyes off of me, I’d do it more often,” Jisung joked, letting out a bright laugh. Despite his cheery tone and smiling, his eyes were sharp as he watched Felix closely.
At the sound of Jisung’s laugh, Felix’s eyes snapped away from the knife. Seungmin watched as Jisung’s eyes immediately softened as Felix looked at him with wide, vulnerable eyes. Seungmin coughed a little and turned around to fiddle with the radio a little.
“How did everything go?” Seungmin asked a moment later, turning off the radio and matching Jisung’s posture facing the back completely. He had been listening to the com at the beginning, but it ended up just making him more nervous, so he had tuned it out.
Minho sent Felix an odd look that Seungmin couldn’t quite decipher. Before he had time to dwell on it though, Felix’s face broke out into a broad grin.
“You should have seen that room, guys,” Felix said, leaning back in the seat and crossing his arms over his chest. “There was, like, 300 kilos of that shit in there!” Seungmin frowned at him, not liking at all how excited Felix got over that many drugs. Seungmin glanced at Jisung and noticed the frown etched into his face too.
“Oh my God,” Minho said, dramatically falling back in the seat. “It was like walking into the golden city itself!”
“I don’t understand why you guys are so excited about that,” Seungmin mumbled, crossing his arms tightly over his chest and turning around to slump in his chair. As a nursing student, something about the drug runs just didn’t sit right in him. He didn’t like the idea of aiding in allowing people access to the shit, even if they weren’t the ones directly distributing it. Seungmin knew Jisung shared his sentiment, but he was never able to get the other to tell him exactly why he didn’t like them after having grown up in a place where they were so normalized.
“Think about how much that room alone was worth!” Minho exclaimed, leaning forward dramatically. “And we only took a tiny bit of it!” Beside him, Felix nodded his grin still wide across his face. Even though Seungmin didn’t agree with the reason for the excitement, it was contagious. Seungmin found himself grinning despite himself, and a glance at Jisung confirmed that the other was fighting back a grin, too.
Seungmin tuned out the rest of the conversation and relaxed into the seat a bit, watching the street intently for when Jeongin would come. Judging from the silence over the com when Seungmin finally decided to start listening again, he could only assume that Chan had told Jeongin that it was time for him to leave. The fact that he couldn’t hear Jeongin’s constant chatter set him on edge.
Seungmin didn’t even realize that he had started to nervously chew on his nails as he stared at the road and listened to the quiet of the com until Jisung reached over a pulled his hand away from his mouth. He looked over at Jisung in surprise. The look of sympathy he received was a little disarming.
“He’ll be fine, Seungmin,” Jisung said comfortingly, placing Seungmin’s hand down on the console. Jisung kept his hand firmly over Seungmin’s wrist, keeping him from continuing to gnaw on his nails. “Will you please take a breath.” Seungmin nodded taking a deep breath and forcing every muscle in his body to relax. This seemed to satisfy Jisung because he went back to chatting with the others, but he didn’t move his hand from Seungmin’s wrist.
Turning his attention back out the window, he spotted Jeongin bouncing down the street, a bright smile on his face. Seungmin perked up a bit when he saw the other, thankful that he looked generally uninjured. Seeing Jeongin bounding in their direction caused Seungin to finally relax against his seat. A small smile spread across his face as Jeongin flew into the car, crawling over Felix to position himself in the middle of the backseat.
“Didn’t I do good?” Jeongin asked, happily bouncing a bit in the seat and causing Minho to grumble a little beside him, but Seungmin saw the tiny smile that was tugging at Minho’s lips.
“So good,” Seungmin said smiling brightly at the other through the rearview mirror as he started the car and shifted it into drive. “Nobody could have done a better job than you, Innie.” He drove away from the curb as the rest of the car fell into a comfortable conversation. He was glad that everybody had made it out safe.
