-the second you were backstage and no cameras were around he was all over you, he got you water and some snacks from food vendors, laying you down and playing with your hair while some medical staff made sure you’re alright

-kisses you all over and takes ur phone so you can’t look at twitter so you don’t see any posts being mean or u get embarrassed

-he’s so so so comforting and he refuses to leave ur side until staff pries him off

-expect him to visit your hotel and hold you until you fall asleep, esp if u were nauseous !

-ur members gush that he stayed with u the whole night until his manager found him

-sneaks into ur company van so he can make sure ur okay on the way home LMAO

i'd love to hear your interpretation of the day 8 call ("You don't give up do you?") on Saeyoung's route! that has to be my favorite call, especially the end lolol

I mean, if anything, this is a representation that goes against the idea that Saeyoung "suddenly becomes a big meanie in his route and he's not playing games with me anymore, he's such a jerk! The time we've spent with him in the apartment is awful because he isn't the silly guy on the game previews!"

I really don't care for people who talk about him that way. If you only value him because he's silly, then you don't actually value him at all as a person. That's why you drive right into the bad ending, figuratively and literally. If you don't value his emotions and allow him to come to terms with what just happened to him, then you don't like Saeyoung.

Saeyoung just realized he sold his life away for NOTHING. Rika and V promised him that Saeran would be safe, and now he's just learned it was a lie. It was all a lie. His brother isn't safe, he's suffering in horrible ways that Saeyoung can't even begin to imagine because every time he closes his eyes, he wants throw up at the thought of Saeran being forced to learn how to hack and hurt others.

He traded his autonomy away to give his brother a chance at a free life, and not even a perfectly free life, a life that could be as free as he could have been given the circumstances. Saeyoung did it because thought the sacrifice would be worth it and threw away everything for nothing. It was for nothing because his brother has no nothing but misery. 

Can you imagine what it must feel like to sacrifice everything and realize it was for nothing? Do you think anybody in his position will be silly and goofy? No. That's not even the entirety of his being. He is not just some guy who likes to play pranks on people. The RFA is his family, and he’s accepted they’ll be the only family he’ll ever have because he can’t be with Saeran. So, he looks over them and does all kinds of things to lift their spirits. 

He got Yoosung into LOLOL. 

He runs Twitter bots for Zen. 

He hangs out with Jaehee and lets her vent about work. 

He’s aware that Elizabeth’s collar has SENSITIVE INFORMATION on it, and is constantly pressing Jumin to up his security. 

Sure, he plays around and pokes fun at everybody, and yes, that’s a part of who he is. But, if you only believe he's a silly prankster, then you have spent no time reflecting on why he's wearing a mask and settling it in the first place.

Saeyoung Choi is a multifaceted person and he isn’t just a joke. He's a compassionate man who will do anything and everything to take care of the people he loves, he loves going out for drives, he loves working on robotics, he can make up a story on the spot about the stars, he loves cosplay and cross-dressing, he loves so many things and he could spend three hours explaining his love of language and linguistics to you if you ASKED.

He is serious and if he's trying to piece together a plan, he's going to have a contingency ready for his contingency. He's ready for anything you throw at him. He can hold a conversation at length about any subject you throw at him and he will enjoy it far more than you think he will. 

He's stubborn to a fault. He can be clingy and paranoid at his worst. Sometimes his anger gets the better of him and he says things without thinking. But, that's what makes him human, with all his faults, flaws, and aspirations. There is so much more to him than being a jokester and if you don't understand that, you're not paying attention to what's happening during your time in the apartment. 

All of this is to say that it's not okay that he's mean to you in the apartment, but a lot of people tend to blow what he's doing out of proportion. If you are actively calling him throughout the day and listening to what he says, it is so obvious that he is lying through his teeth. He may be the best liar in the world when it comes to his work in the agency, but when it comes to you, he is the worst liar I have ever seen in my entire life.

He cannot hide how much he cares about you. When he thinks you're not eating he goes out of his way to make sure he orders every kind of sandwich imaginable just in case you have a picky palette. When you leave the apartment to get something for him, he gets upset with you, not because he's angry with you, but because he hates that you're not thinking of your safety when his brother could have really hurt you even if it hurts him to admit that. 

And, you know what happens in this phone call? He sees you crying and he immediately folds. It doesn't matter how frustrated he is with the fact that his life is built on a lie, he still wants to comfort you because you make him happy no matter how afraid he is to admit that.

When it comes down to it, he's just afraid of letting you into his life because the last time he had somebody close to him that he would do anything for, they suffered. He just watched what happened to his brother all because he cared about him and thought he could trust his brother with people who didn't give him a reason not to trust them. 

The only reason he tries to push you away is because he's afraid of you getting hurt like his brother. He can't stomach what happened to his brother as it is, but the thought of watching another person he loves suffering isn't something he can stand. If you work with him and give him the space he needs, then he'll apologize to you and realize that he can't live his life this way forever.

He can't deny himself happiness for the rest of his life just because he's afraid to make a leap. This call shows he can't lie about anything when it comes to you no matter how hard he tries. He could lie to the rest of the world but he could never lie to you. 

My favorite part is the way his voice trembles near the end of the phone call and he asks you if it's okay to Hold Your Hand despite everything.

Q. Why are his own people suddenly upset with him?

Q. Two questions, have you seen the mustache and what are your thoughts? And why are some of Lou's fans mad at him all of a sudden?

Q. People are sending him messages through his Instagram and Twitter accounts asking him for some kind of sign to prove he's on set. A thumbs up or down. A smiley or frowny face anything to confirm he's there or will be there and he's ignoring all of them. People are losing their patience with the silent treatment.

A. My ask box is a stream of mustache questions and people asking why Lou's fans are getting mad at him. It's been a nice change of pace. I'm going to start with the fun mustache question. Haha, I don't mind it. It's a good way to physically show that Eddie is clearly going through a season of change. It makes sense to give him some sort of physical marker to follow his journey through. Some of the theories have been super fun to read but I'm going with it being a physical acknowledgement of Eddie searching for his true identity. A mustache works very well for that in a symbolic way (especially within gay/queer culture and history). I don't post asks that include Eddie/Ryan or Buck/Oliver hate but I have several messages from certain people upset that they gave Eddie a mustache specifically for what it represents in the gay/queer community so I think most of us had the same initial reaction to seeing the video.

As for the Lou discourse currently going on his own fandom I have no idea what that's about. I included that bottom ask because I would assume it's pretty close to the reason some of them are becoming angry. Look if Tim or ABC told him he can no longer talk about it he can't respond to them, and that's just the truth. Emojis would still be a form of talking about it so they would still count as breaking the rule, if he was instructed to no longer talk about things. If he pops up in someone's BTS video they will have their proof. Otherwise no one will now until the show releases promos or we see him in some other way. I do think though that some of them are just genuinely starting to see the reality and they're upset. With him not around to feed into their narrative the reality becomes harder and harder to ignore. And he is absolutely the only person they can be upset with because no one else was feeding into their frenzy. It's also hard to keep shouting about something that no one else, including the two actors involved, is talking about. I still think he will pop up on set at some point in the next week or so but again we won't know unless he or someone else posts something. But they're definitely not keeping his appearance a surprise. That is most definitely not what's happening. He will be around for at least a few scenes this season but it's nothing the show is going to shroud in secrecy. Because once again he's not the point of the storyline he's involved in.

Ah, the moustache... it's incredible how one single appearance of Ryan with a moustache can garner such an implosion of the fandom. People are either for or against the moustache. Some find it hot and sexy, while others... don't. LOLOL! I find the whole thing funny. This is the most fun I've had in fandom in months now, so you won't hear me complaining about the moustache too much. It took some time to get used to, but after staring at that video enough, I'm okay with it now.

The fact is that Ali's right. This moustache is a sign of transformation for Eddie and since it's such an important symbol for gay/queer men, I'm fine with this new addition to Ryan's face. :)

But also, keep in mind that it could have just been an inside joke between the cast as well and Ryan's moustache could already be gone the next time we see him in some bts. All is possible.

As for Lou? I also fully expect to see him pop up one of the next weeks to film his scenes for season 8. I'm not going to lie, I would prefer to never see him again on 911, but I'm also realistic and I think he's still needed to tie up some loose ends in Buck's bi storyline. After that is done I don't think we'll see him again. Well, I hope so anyway.

Tbh, it doesn't make much difference since I'm not as active on here as I was on Twitter, and to a lesser extent, Discord, which I was mostly referring to lol. I forgot that my audiences may vary between the two and I didn't share the announcements here, sorry! 😅

For some that may know me from Twitter, you would see me post something everyday like a demon possessing me lol. By taking a break, I'm greatly reducing my activity so I don't feel burnt out, which is what I'm doing rn.

I'm very introverted, so while it's not that I dislike interaction but get too easily overwhelmed to comment especially when I have some irl stuff to take care of (this is why I don't have much friends lolol). So many Genshin characters…. The fandom is so gross 😂 And as an avid twitter and tumblr user I see it all…

I start to dislike characters when people try to project mental disorders/illnesses onto them (Yes especially Alhaitham) 😑

I actually don’t enjoy female/male or female/female ships at all but… Project Sekai and Star Rail is helping me come around to them. Minori/Haruka, Toya/Nene, March/Dan etc etc

I couldn't remember why I like, 99% avoided the spop fandom at the time it was airing/right after it aired. It wasn't *just* that it wasn't my hyperfixation--it was that I mostly avoided the fandom in general. I had enough friends from other things in the spop fandom that I was able to see some great art on twitter/tumblr, but I didn't go looking for new friends in that fandom, the way I often do.

And I mean yeah I was far more into k/da when spop started airing, but by mid-2020??

Anyway, while digging around looking for old art and meta, along with some GREAT stuff, I find a lot of just dumb, terrible shit. Like: long unreadable posts about why Catra Is The Worst And If You Like Her You Are Also The Worst (she was the main antagonist for four seasons???? that's how that works??????). Or I'm just painfully reminded that a bunch of the worst people from SU fandom were in spop fandom (especially early on).

And I know I've talked about this before, but I remember realizing that the reason I'd been so into k/da was because it was, in fact, very stupid. All the good stuff (outside of the actual songs/videos), the fandom basically made up on our own. The fandom around spop was just SO SERIOUS because, like SU, the show itself was trying to do big things--good things!! around telling stories about queer people and talking about the effects of childhood trauma. (It also, like SU, attracted an audience of mostly young, traumatized queer people.)

But also, just like with SU, it made parts of the fandom insufferable. Because everything is EXTREMELY SERIOUS, YOU KNOW.

I can appreciate all that stuff, but god damn, I am just here to smash my dolls together.

It was just way more fun and relaxing to play around in the sandbox of a media that didn't even expect us to be there and didn't care about us--just try to watch the pop/stars video and tell me it was aimed at sapphics, lolol. To the extent that it appeals to us, it was probably by accident. (I blame Fortiche.) We could have all the fun we wanted, because who gave a shit? Vast majority of people who read/wrote fic for k/da never played League of Legends. We were never their intended audience!

So yeah. I'm four years late to the spop party, sure. But most of the worst people have moved on to other fandoms. Thank God. I can scribble my angst and porn in the corner while muttering under my breath, and only the people who made it through all that shit and stuck around are the people who will bother reading my stuff. Whew.

With my midterms officially over, I can finally make time to read again. Thank you for the help with No Man's Land; I'm not well-versed with storylines prior to the 2010s unless regarding specific characters...but I'm working on it.

I initially started off as a Damian fan and only read stories that pertained to him and Talia (it's been rough). I read Red Robin on a whim after seeing some of my Twitter mutuals speak so highly of the series, and I absolutely loved the storyline (minus the last few issues; I also hate how Tam was treated. It was fairly iffy throughout the run, but it was further emphasized in the final issues; there is so much to say about the entire mess that was love interests, but that's for another day). The art style is nice as well, I understand why people are so fond of Tim during that era. Though I figured with no prior knowledge of Tim's character, it was a rough place to begin understanding his characterization. So, I started reading some of his older material, and it's been very interesting!!! I just started Robin 93, but Young Justice has taken up a majority of my attention. The silliness of the first issue with dumb gags about nuns in a station wagon filled with explosives, Tornado finding the trio so annoying it brought forth whatever humanity was left in him...I just couldn't stop scrolling. Safe to say, I am fairly invested in Tim (and Bart, he's just so younger-cousin-coded it's endearing), I plan to go back and read his Robin run (along with Impulse) once winter break allows me the time to properly read and analyze.

I haven't been following you long, so I'm unsure if you've answered this question prior, but what initially got you into Tim's character? (that wording sounds a little off, sorry.) But besides that, I hope you're doing okay and that midterms have been going well! Midterms beat me to a pulp, so I hope all is good on your end lolol

red robin was an interesting run… tim is Quite Annoying there and his relationship with tam (and um. women in general there) was a bit Eh. i used to like it but i think that was just the pretty art influencing me LMAO by now it’s just Meh especially because of the way he treats tam and steph and just generally acts. but again you are right that it is a Rough Place for his character. though i would also say that were it not for the grief and general dramatics of the situation, it’s probably reasonably honest? for his character i mean but that’s just me hehe. you’ll see some hints of it in robin 1993 i think but young justice 1998 really helps soften some of it just because it is a more light-hearted one! it’s definitely a lot of fun! i need to pick up my reading for it again tbh but i’m torn between that and reading for diana.. alas

oooh what got me into tim… initially i didn’t like him! i was into jason when i first got into dc and my exposure to tim wasn’t great… i got more accustomed to him through fics but it’s always been a bit grudging on my end LMAO, more of like a ‘i can fix him’ type of situation or at least one where his flaws—because he has Many—are highlighted and confronted. or sometimes assumed to have been taken care of, which is an assumption i welcome when it comes to my own fics. that is a large part of why i like him actually—that he has sooooo many issues. i’m veryyy critical of him HAHA it’s kind of why i’m turning away from whump fics regarding him, just because i’m like… he is not an angel compared to the others LMAOOOO so… yeah. it’s reluctant. and honestly these days </3 he annoys me LMAOOOOOOO it’s weird i know but. he’s like a chew toy to me

hi I’m the anon who asked if the fandom really wants more byler kisses in art! firstly thank you for all that you said, you share my sentiments exactly. and the replies/opinions from others was so nice to read too! I feel less scared now lolol. the other thing I forgot to mention that I guess plays a part was that what made it more discouraging especially on twitter is being over 18 (I’m not even that much over personally?) and wanting to draw your ships in established relationship scenarios eg. kissing and being romantic at a deeper level. you’re so completely correct that it doesn’t have to mean the artist is implying it leads to anything more (and people quoting “🤨” when nothing was even slightly suggested is so… terrifying to anticipate actually) and there’s definitely merit to that discussion in the replies about the automatic sexual lens queer ships are seen through.

passionate/deep/open mouthed (not even with tongue) kisses don’t have to lead to anything, it shouldn’t immediately be assume sexual as you said. intimacy and passion =\= sex. especially, to me, for a /repressed/ 80s gay couple??? they are 100% going to want to kiss and be intimate. but yeah, apparently all practiced fandom artists who want to share some joy to our community are ‘freaks’ because we’re not minors? 🙃 I just don’t understand it. and you’d be surprised how many other artists and writers don’t get it and wish they could make the content they want. but again, appreciate everybody on my previous ask for being so open about this conversation you rock!

You should make all the content you want without being scared by twitter people with distorted lens on that are thinking maliciously about a kiss when there is no reason to... people are not protecting anyone by cancelling others for a drawing of a kiss, it's insane to me that this is even a thing!!! 😭

and as I said before, you don't stop loving fandoms and tv shows once your grow up, you obviously need to change how you approach the fandom and always be mindful of what you do more... but that's because when you're an adult you should always be more aware of dynamics and all in general (and honestly it would be good if everybody was...)

being older doesn't mean that you should stop having fun online just because you're not a minor when you're not hurting anyone?? adults in fandom are even giving more to the fandom than others by making art or great fanfiction etc 😅

and yeah I think many of these concerns are born because they can't separate being gay and kissing from being sexual... queer kids fall in love too exactly like straight kids and they kiss to express that... it's not meant to be automatically a sexual thing 💀
