hii! i love your writing a lot! and its my first time requesting something so im sorry if it sounds weird.
could i request a reader who loves to give their friend or partner lots gifts(preferably handmade ones!!) and affection? like they just make gifts for them and randomly shower them with affection without any reason
please do it with the overblot gang or simply just riddle, azul and vil !!
also im sorry if you already did something like that ; ;
hi anon!! thank you for waiting so patiently for this <3
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ gifting!
type of post: headcanons characters: riddle, azul, vil additional info: romantic, reader is gender neutral, reader is yuu
pleasant surprise is not something that Riddle feels often, and gifts, especially such thoughtful ones, are not something he's used to. his mother never bought him anything that wasn't a necessity, and aside from what little Trey and Che'nya could sneak to him when they were children, Riddle just... doesn't get gifts
especially without a reason. the first time you leave a love note and roses at his desk, he's worried that he somehow forgot something- a birthday, a holiday, an anniversary?
you have to reassure him that you don't need a reason to be nice to him, and he deserves to be spoiled
which is... weird... for him to hear
still, he treasures every single thing you get him. trinkets go on a well-kept shelf in his room, practical gifts get used until they're falling apart, and he even presses the flowers you give so he can keep them forever
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
Azul lives in a give-and-take world. which is often... bad, but can be extraordinarily sweet when he applies that to your relationship
he wakes up to flowers on his doorstep? you'll be getting a bouquet the very next day. you write him a lovely note? he'll send one of his own right back. you make him something thoughtful, personal, and sweet? he will literally teach himself how to sew, paint, write, et cetera, and get you something you'll love by next week
(your crafting skills are incredible to him, by the way)
it's not even that he doesn't want to "owe you" anything; it's that he wants you to feel just as loved and special as you make him feel
he's never a neglectful boyfriend, I can tell you that much
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
there's something that can be so special about handmade gifts. Vil thinks of this often; he finds himself absolutely in love with everything you give him. he almost feels guilty wearing the jewelry or clothing you make, as if it should be put on display rather than worn
it's just so... you know?
you thought of him while you made this. you sat down, thought, "what would Vil like?" and made something. not because he hired you to, or because you want fame or money or success, but because you love him
as a person. not as an actor, or a model, or an image
oof. it's like an arrow straight through his heart. he loves to carry around the things you gift him, just so someone will notice and ask
he always gets the biggest smile telling them that his partner made it

The Enemy of My Enemy is My Lover 2
Part 1 / Part 2 (here) / Part 3
“You are aware Cassian is a mer, correct?” Azul asked as Jade poured a cup of tea for _.
“Thank you. Yes, I know.” _ said accepting the freshly brewed tea.
The Mostro Lounge had closed for the evening, all four of them gathered in the VIP room two days later, thirty minutes after closing, just as they had agreed upon. Well everyone except Floyd was on time, he had decide to skip the last two hours of work to go roller skating and returned ten minutes late for the meeting.
The twins were an interesting pair to them. Floyd’s “unpredictability” and Jade’s mysterious yet mischievous aura killed any potential boredom. They couldn’t wait to learn more about them.
The manager himself, Azul, somehow kept himself from being outshined by the twins which was an impressive feat in itself. He gave off a spoiled, yet had something to prove kind of energy. They had no idea what exactly he felt the need to prove, but they didn’t feel it their place to know.
“What kind of fishy is he?” Floyd asked playing with the wheels of his skates that he refused to take off, no matter how much Azul demanded.
“A greater weever.” Azul frowned adjusting his glasses.
“Oh dear, he’s got quite the venomous sting then.” Jade said amusedly as he poured himself a cup of tea.
“Yes, he sure does.” _ sighed before taking another sip of their tea.
“Physical confrontation is to be avoided at all costs. _ , do you have any idea as to why he stole your belongings and cat?” Azul said calmly looking to them as he crossed his legs and rested his head upon his intertwined hands.
“His first time on land was eight months ago, two weeks before we met. He found everything of mine to be fascinating, especially my cat, Sprinkles. I didn’t mind it all, but now I see he wanted my lifestyle more then he wanted me. I guess the wedding was the perfect opportunity to take what he wanted and make his escape.” _ said sadly placing the their cup down on the coffee table, staring deeply into the leaf water.
“That is unfortunately in character for him. Cassian stole almost everything for every achievement he ever ”earned“. Test answers, writing assignments, art projects, ideas, and just about anything you can imagine. Never an original thought in that head of his.” Azul said in a calm yet angry tone.
Even from his own partner, disgusting.
“You sure seem to know all about that weever’s wrongs, Azul. How’s that?” Floyd sat up from his previously lax position on the floor.
“I must admit I’m curious as well.” Jade stated with a smile.
“He liked to steal and copy my work the most.” Azul sighed bitterly glancing downward to the floor.
“Well, does anyone know where the bastard might have gone? It seems his karma is well overdue.” _ said, their melancholic tone turning to rage.
“Most likely, Riptide Coast south from here. That’s where most mer on land live in this area. The items and cat aren’t water friendly, so I highly doubt he went home and left everything up here. We’ll begin the search on our next meeting. How does Tuesday evening sound?” Azul said, his smile returning as straightened his posture.
“Perfect.” _ said as the two exchanged a look of mutual malicious glee.
“Can’t wait for some action! Right Jade?” Floyd laughed.
“I couldn’t agree more, Floyd.” Jade smiled.
tag: @azulashengrottospiano
Just in case it wasn't clear: Azul asking if they knew why Cassian stole from them, while knowing Cassian is a thief is intentional. He's searching for a motive for Cassian to steal from what was his partner at the time.

📂ㅤCHASING AWAY A BOYFRIEND.ㅤ. . .ㅤjade x sibling!reader ★
synopsis. you introduced your boyfriend to your older brother, and as a result he ran for the hills. what, why are you looking at jade like that? no, it's nothing to do with him. it's your boyfriend's fault for being such a coward.
It was extremely obvious from the very moment that you walked in with said new boyfriend, that Jade was planning on being as relentlessly ruthless as he has been every time before. Despite Floyd being unable to attend the meeting until later on, and the ever-so-polite smile on his face, he very clearly had zero intentions of being welcoming to this new tide coming in.
As he held the lounge door open for you both, the most you could do was sigh once you made direct eye contact with him, noting the way his eyes momentarily flashed with a sinister glint. You could tell from the second-long observation alone that he was clearly going to enjoy the torment of this afternoon. He carefully consulted his work hours with Azul around this meeting, what else could scream that he's looking forward to this more than that?
You had warned your boyfriend in advance of the very.. specific and strange criteria of the ideal man that your brothers attempt to enforce, and how they can be extremely aggressive in their way of figuring out whether one fits it. But alas, being aware of this fact, and attending NRC so therefore being familiar with the danger that the twins pose, he insisted that he wished to meet them anyway. So really, with that stubbornness, there isn't very much more you could do to protect him from them. Or in this case, just Jade, who is definitely going to be twice as difficult to make up for Floyd's absence.
"It has been quite the long time since they've introduced a significant other to the family," The Octavinelle housewarden mused as he gently lowered a tray onto the table. Before perching himself down opposite, he was sure to hospitably pour a drink for you both. You kept a sharp watch on every little movement that he made, and it was thanks to that, did you notice the two teapots. Why two?
Your eyes narrowed as you watched him, every move looking so professional and calculated. Paired with the butler-like, welcoming smile which never left his features for even an instant, one would almost believe that he was genuine.
"So I must admit that I have been eagerly anticipating this meeting ever since it was first planned," It was then did you notice it. After setting your own expensive-looking china teacup down before you, the liquid an almost transparent vermillion which emitted steam with a fragrance that smelled positively intoxicating, he had laid the teapot back down and discarded it. Reaching for the other and proceeding to pour the second drink as if there were nothing to worry about. Placing it before the boy sat beside you, he sat down himself. Folding his hands together politely over the table as he smiled. "Though it's a shame that Floyd cannot be here to witness it, I'm sure this interaction is going to make my week."
As the boy beside you began to somewhat sheepishly respond to your brother's words, your gaze stayed on the two steaming cups presented neatly on the table between you. The two looked identical, from the color to the steam. Yet you know better than to merely shrug such a thing off, especially from Jade. So you raised your head, glancing around quickly for a momentary distraction.
"Well I don't come from anywhere as interesting as the sea, but—"
Leaning forwards comfortably and side-eying the next table, you sneakily twirled your finger before placing your attention back on Jade, who looked to be earnestly listening to what the boy had to say about himself. All his achievements in his two years in the Scarabia dorm, his family, his... financial situation? He seemed to be putting everything out and into the open.
Though attention was diverted when a large pop could be heard from somewhere close. The next table was where. Out of the blue, totally not the work of anybody's magic, and to the future stress of no particular octopus, somebody's drink had exploded. The pressure of the fizzy liquid being too much for the bottle to contain, and the cap shooting up quickly as drink began to spill. It had gained the startled look of the boy beside you long enough to swap the two teacups.
You were sure to shoot Jade the meanest glare, to which he merely shrugged his shoulders with that same closed-eye smile. As if to say: 'it was worth a shot', perhaps.
The situation with the neighboring table was calmed relatively quickly, and the conversation about how kind the Scarabia housewarden is continued. You listened in, reaching out for the tea which was likely dosed with something Jade found on the nearest mountain, and bringing it up to your nose to sniff. Upon noticing you do so and being reminded that it was there, your boyfriend did the same while continuing to chatter. You noted the nice smell, a sweet smell, a much more enticing aroma than the one which was yours before.
Daring to bring it to your lips, you took a cautionary sip. Eyes widening once you comprehended what your tastebuds had just graced. This... is just regular sweet tea? How could this be?
Peering up at Jade, you found the eel sitting there looking extremely smug. His eyes had darkened dangerously, teeth akin to knives on full display as he made eye contact with you. It was this expression which made you realize that you had lost, your moves were predicted long before the game was even in play. You lost, and everything you had bet now belongs to Jade.
"How do you like the tea?" His eyes shifted to your boyfriend, who was holding in a violent choke in an attempt to be polite. The expression that Jade was wearing, it scared him a lot. All sense of hospitality being dragged away by the current. "It's a special blend in the Leech family, you see. A particular favorite of my dear sibling here."
There was a long silence, before the boy suddenly stood from his seat. You stared at Jade in shock. "P-Please excuse me! I n-need the bathroom, I will be right back!"
"I can never have nice things..." You sighed, putting down the cup and leaning your cheek into your palm. They never do come right back, they only say that to be polite. Not to mention that if they were to, there would only be yet another method of deterrence a hundred times worse. "I never can, thanks to you two."
"Ehh you have us?" Practically on cue, a pair of arms wrapped around your upper body from behind, a familiar heavy weight leaning over your back. It was Floyd. "Right, Jade?!"
"Indeed you do," The other Leech twin replied, visibly proud of himself. "You have us both, do you not?"
"Wait, did I already miss it? Awww, I wanted to be the one to chase the sucker awayy..."

Hello! Can I request hcs of the dorm leaders having a crush on reader please? Normally reader is a pretty shy and serious person. But one day, they see reader from afar (alone or with Grimm): Reader is acting happy go lucky and goofy, without a care in the world. How would they react? (Reader is the type to be silent and introverted in social situations but when they are alone or with someone they are comfortable with, they act bubbly and lively) Thank you!
dfghjhgfds okay so I really got carried away with this one and it shows - this focused less on the crush and more like moments between them so I hope that you like this hun~! ------
Riddle
♡ How someone so serious and reserved managed to wrangle Heartslabyul’s first years into an unlikely friendship is anyone’s guess, but it really didn’t take long after your appearance at Night Raven College before Ace and Deuce started hanging out with you and Grim. Riddle’s heard talk about you before actually meeting you for himself - it seems that even despite your shy demeanor, you’ve become fast friends with some of the other dorm members. Trey’s talked about you coming over to watch him bake, and how you were pretty adept at listening to instructions; and Cater often brings you up in conversation, bringing up some of the selfies he’s roped you into taking with him and showing them to Riddle, lamenting about how you seem to clam up at the mere prospect of large crowds. ♡ It’s because of this that he’s somewhat prepared when the two of you initially run into one another - if only the circumstances were better given the whole unbirthday party issue. Still, that doesn’t seem to ward you off, if anything, Riddle finds you visiting Heartslabyul even more often after that event ♡ All things considered, you and Riddle actually get along rather well - whilst you don’t talk much, preferring to let the people around you do that talking for you, you’re rather pleasant company to have around. You don’t know even a quarter of the dorm’s rules, but he recognizes your effort to adhere to them as best as you’re able when you come to visit, and for what it’s worth the effort doesn’t go unappreciated on Riddle’s part, especially on his journey to be a little more lenient. He’s not exactly sure when you start winning his favor, or when he starts paying attention to little details about you when you’re around, but he notices he seems to act a little softer during your interactions, though he swears to himself that’s an unconscious reaction to a friend and nothing more. ♡ He’s heard Grim mention that you’re way more outgoing when you’re at Ramshackle alone, and Riddle has to ponder on if it’s because you’re more comfortable being yourself on your own. He’s the first to recognize that you’re more bubbly and lively when you’re comfortable, but doesn’t see it for himself till later on. ♡ He’s walking through the dorm halls on his way back to his room, when he hears snickering coming from the common room. Nothing too unusual, but he finds himself idly wondering what’s going on in there, so he makes a small detour to double check, just in case there’s trouble brewing. Riddle walks past the common room, watches a familiar black furball go flying up into the air, and promptly backtracks to see what’s going on. He’s already preparing to chew what he assumes is some plucky first years making a mess of the common room, when he spots you, arms outstretched as Grim falls and drops on top of you, where you skillfully catch him. ♡ You’re beaming at such a simple action, scritching Grim behind the ears as you hold the monster back up; Riddle doesn’t understand exactly what you’re doing until he watches Grim go soaring back into the air thanks to you promptly tossing him up at the cat’s signal. The sight is weird - especially because he’s pretty sure that Grim could fly just fine the last time he checked, but you genuinely look like you’re having a lot of fun throwing the feline up into the air and catching him, getting progressively higher each time. ♡ It appears Grim must trust you more than he lets on to let you do this, either that or the head pats you give him every time he comes back down is enough of a bribe to go along with the little game you’re playing. It’s rather childish, and not something he expected to ever catch you doing, which is exactly why he justifies staring at the scene for as long as he does instead of stepping in. There’s something about the way that you’re acting now that seems almost carefree, nothing quite like the stern, solemn look on your face back when he’d first caught sight of you at the induction. In all honesty it’s an almost enviable expression, or at least, that’s the feeling Riddle assumes he’s feeling when a warmth starts welling up in his chest the longer he watches the two of you play together.
Leona
♡ Has no idea how he ended up crushing on you - you’re quiet, keeping to yourself most of the time unless you get dragged into other people’s problems. That honestly suits him just fine since it means you’re less of a pain to have around - he doesn’t have to concern himself with needless blabbering or deal with the stunts the more reckless ones of his dorm seem to have a field day trying to pull off.
♡ The longer you and Leona are around one another, the more he’s convinced that there’s more to you than what you’re letting on. Sometimes, he’ll see little flashes of something beneath your usual silent demeanor, especially during moments when you’re happy; it’s like you want to express yourself more, be more open with your feelings. But every time he sees those flashes they’re gone just as quick, which makes him start actively keeping an eye out for those little moments.
♡ One such moment is where he gets a proper glimpse at what you’re like when you’re truly comfortable. Leona was more focused on trying to nap rather than entertain guests, so he’d let Ruggie take care of you while he found a spot to get comfortable; he’s in and out of it, only half paying attention when the sound of giggling rouses him. With a grumble, unamused at being disturbed, Leona cracks an eye open to see what Ruggie’s up to now - fully expecting you to be the latest recipient of one of the hyena’s latest trick when he sees the two of you sat on the floor, legs crossed and facing each other.
♡ It’s easy to assume at first that Ruggie’s just using his unique magic on you to make you follow along with his expressions and actions, but the longer Leona watches the pair of you, he notices that your reactions are just a beat slower than Ruggies, as though you’re waiting for the hyena to move first and acting accordingly. If imitating Ruggie’s your game, you’re doing a pretty good job of it, but every time you mirror his expression Leona can see the pair of you physically struggling to stop yourselves from laughing, watching you bite your lip and seeing the corners of your eyes crinkle in an effort to steel your expression even as a smile tugs at your lips. Ruggie’s not much better, grinning like a fool as he works to make you pull the silliest expressions he can muster, making himself look equally ridiculous in the process.
♡ It’s a childish game, and you’re sure that you can hear Leona huff at the silly display, but that doesn’t stop him from watching the scene play out, easing himself up from his previous napping position into one more comfortable to keep watching. He’s more focused on you than he is Ruggie, watching your expression contort every which way before breaking out into that same grin when a snort of laughter ruins the otherwise quiet of the game. You don’t look as serious and timid as what he’s used to seeing, and you’re interacting way more than you usually do, even sticking Ruggie with some spicy retorts every time he snickers about how silly you look. It’s actually kind of refreshing, in a way, to have his suspicions confirmed that you weren’t just that silent stone wall that others had stuck you to be, so he finds himself looking at that grin of yours like he’s trying to carve it into memory.
♡ Leona makes a comment about your expressions, a little jab that you’re used to hearing by now after being around him for so long; but Leona’s surprised to find that you’ve got a little backbone this time around, sticking him with a defiant huff as you stick your tongue out at him. It’s bratty behavior, but he at least appreciates the cheek you have to pull that face at him before you whirl back around, hands excitedly patting your legs as you egg Ruggie to keep going with this little imitation show. You can’t see it, but that action earns you a raised brow before Leona shakes his head, running a hand through his hair as he flops back down, making you assume that he’s trying to get back to sleep as you continue playing - and he would be, if he didn’t want to keep listening to the sound of your carefree laughter for just a it longer.
Azul
♡ Azul knows better than to just assume that everyone shows their true personalities without hesitation - keeping your cards to yourself until it’s safe and avoiding moments of vulnerability around those you aren’t close to are traits that he knows all too well. And it’s precisely because of this that he doesn’t immediately judge you based on your initial shyness, instead opting to give it time and see how things pan out. Besides, after the events of that whole contract incident, the way you ended up handling it, and the things that have been thrown at you since, has piqued the dorm leader’s interest.
♡ Visiting Monstro lounge after hours has become a common occurrence, to the point where Azul’s more used to seeing you sitting somewhere in the lounge than he is not - there’s an unusual emptiness to the place on the days that you can’t make it, even if Azul’s not always interacting with you outside of the nod of acknowledgment and initial greeting. Whether you enjoy the quiet atmosphere or the company is anybody's guess, but when you’re visiting on your own you hardly cause any trouble, so Azul doesn’t mind you coming around in the slightest. Plus, you have a tendency to keep Floyd occupied when things get slow, which works out for everybody working there since he enjoys having you around as well. Today’s one such day where you’ve got his attention, as you’re helping to move some of the stuff people have left behind on the counter for the brother’s to pick up. Upon seeing the little collection of cups you’re making, Floyd doesn’t think twice about sliding one over to you, with little warning other than telling you to catch as he does so.
♡ You’d acted without thinking; all you’d seen was a glass coming at you from the corner of your eye and you swatted it back the way it came, almost immediately realizing your mistake as you whip your head around to watch the cup coast back over to Floyd. He looks down at the glass with a look of surprise as he catches it, but in the next moment that confusion is replaced with an amused grin and he nudges once again over to your side of the counter. This time you actually grab it, and after a second of skeptically eyeing the glass and Floyd you send it back at him; and, just like that, your new little minigame is afoot.
♡ The glass whizzes back and forth, getting progressively faster with each clink across the counter. And it’s that clinking that draws Azul’s attention, as the sound is enough to draw him into turning his focus over to the counter, watching the two of you play. You’re focused, tongue poking from the corner of your mouth as you focus on the glass as it comes back towards you; Floyd’s also thoroughly invested by the little game, and Azul can see his grin getting a little wider every time you have to lean over to bat it back over in his direction. It’s only a matter of time before something happens, Azul can see that clearly with how fast the glass is moving, but instead of calling out to the two of you to stop, Azul watches the exchange anyways, if only to wait for that moment to come.
♡ You must have underestimated the shot, as the next time that the glass goes whizzing towards Floyd it slips right past him and rockets off the counter. You both yell and make a grab for it even though you’re on the far end - Floyd just about falls off of the bar stool trying to snag it only to hit the floor hard enough to make the shelves rattle. Thankfully, Jade’s able to pluck it right from the air right before it hits the ground, sauntering back to the kitchen and carrying the leftover glasses from the remaining tables with him.
♡ Floyd pouts and mourns the loss of your playing glass, but you burst out into a cheer at the nice save, clapping for the Leech twin as he nods in your direction and offers you a smile as he disappears into the back room. The sudden outburst actually shocks Azul, who regards your shout with wide eyes; he’s never heard you yell before, much less that loud, so the sound catches him off guard. It seems that you catch yourself just as fast however, as the second you spot Azul looking at you, your face visibly flushes, embarrassed over him watching over the little scene, face only turning brighter when he flashes you a smile upon noticing you looking at him.
Kalim
♡ Honestly, the two of you couldn’t be more polar opposites to people on the outside looking in. Kalim’s good vibes personified, whereas you’re incredibly introverted and shy around people that you don’t know too well; it makes for an interesting dynamic between the two of you, but Kalim takes it all in stride! Regardless of whether you’re the shyest person in the world, or if you’re the most outgoing, Kalim has a way of finding the best in people and wants to be friends if you’re up for it. So when you first meet at the induction ceremony and you greet him, timid and nervous, Kalim’s really excited to greet you back, already armed with a slew of questions and things he wants to know - what can he say? He’s always interested in getting to know new people! And you’re no exception.
♡ You’re not much of a talker, preferring to let Grim or your other friends do the talking for you, but Kalim doesn’t mind in the least! Though he’s the kind of person that tries to take any and all opportunities to coax you into talking more, which can be very overwhelming during the first few weeks that you spend getting to know him. Fortunately, Jamil’s almost always there to rear him back and stop him from getting overly excited whenever he starts noticing that you’re getting uncomfortable or overwhelmed. It helps that Kalim gets Grim to warm up to him really easily, as seeing that your dormmate actually wants to hang out around him too makes you feel a bit more comfortable hanging out around him and letting loose a little more than you usually would.
♡ And Kalim’s not the only one excited for your visits. His magic carpet’s got a mind of its own and a playful streak that’s apparently only amplified whenever Grim’s in the vicinity - looks like the fluffy monster makes for a prime playmate. You, frankly, find that fact adorable, but Grim gets so miffed being constantly hounded by a magic rug that he actively goes out of his way to avoid it, even if that means swallowing his pride and hiding under or behind something until it’s gone (a fact that you love to bring up when it’s just the two of you - that’s gained you more than a few singed hairs). Unfortunately for your fluffy companion however, neither of you have really been good at knowing where exactly it is when you drop by Scarabia to hang out with Kalim, which means you either don’t have any interactions with it at all, or you do and…well, you get situations such as this.
♡ You’re walking in stride with Kalim, listening to him as he talks - he loves that you’re such a great listener, though that’s only an added bonus thanks to your usually shy demeanor (not that you’d tell him that, he looks so happy every time he gets to ramble you could listen to him talk all day). He’s mid conversation when you spot something whizz across your vision from the corner of your eye - you have no idea what it is, but you’ve got an idea of what it could be when you spot another flash of vibrant fabric.
♡ Unlike you Kalim’s completely oblivious to this, and you’re still not quite sure what you’re seeing till you finally watch a blur round the corner. The carpet spots Grim, and in the next second Grim’s gone from his spot and zipping down the hall on the carpet's back. His scream is abrupt and loud enough that your ears ring, but the sight of the cat clinging to the fabric and cussing up a storm of curses you didn’t even know he knew makes you react without thinking.
♡ You burst into laughter, throwing your head back before you can even stop yourself watching Grim disappear from view down the corridor. As soon as he hears you laugh, unabashed and unrestrained, Kalim just falls so hard. He’s seen you smile - he’s actually been responsible for making you smile on more than one occasion, and he loves that he’s been able to do so - but there’s just something about the pure joy in your voice, tinged with disbelief, that makes this moment different. It’s the type of laugh that has you leaning against the wall for support and clutching your side, and you only laugh harder when you hear Grim’s voice in the distance, shrieking at you to stop laughing.
♡ Your laughter is contagious, and it isn’t long before Kalim joins in laughing alongside you; that really doesn’t help calm you down, if anything it spurs you on into a spiral until both of you are laughing hard enough that you’re leaning up against each others shoulders every time you hear Grim’s voice carrying on the wind - it’s a moment to remember for sure.
Vil
♡ You’re shy, reserved and keep to yourself unless it’s something you need to actively get involved in, so perhaps it's exactly that reason that you fly under Vil’s radar for so long. Back at the auditions you had looked as though you’d rather be anywhere else rather than being swarmed by your fellow students, visibly shying away and keeping to your small little bubble of friends right up until the moment that the auditions started. Perhaps it was an act of mercy that you weren’t picked as one of the main performers, and he’d fully expected that to be the last direct interaction that he had with you and that fuzzy little thing that hovers around you all of the time.
♡ Only it isn't, even after the events of the VDC it's as though you’d resolved to go out of your way to visit Pomfiore, having gotten attached to your new friends and wanting to make the effort to keep them close even if it was through quick visits. Your self proclaimed task seems easier, given that little Epel has been unanimously adopted into your little gaggle of potatoes and you’ve gotten rather close to some of the other Pomfiore members since meeting them.
♡ It seems like you’ve wormed your way into the hearts of the Vil’s dormmates - Epel’s hanging around you just about every time that he’s spotted you on school grounds, and Rook is ever doting. Vil’s not really one to talk however, given that he’s the first person to greet you whenever you come to the Pomfiore dorm for one reason or another. This is one such instance - apparently one of your little group had decided to cook some desserts and had an abundance of fruits and treats leftover, so you’d brought a couple to share, with Ace and Grim in tow as you offered Vil a rather excited greeting upon seeing him at the door.
♡ An impromptu call had pulled him away from the group momentarily, and by the time the whole mess was sorted out he was already preparing for the chaos your friends must have caused in his absence (seriously, it’s like they go out of their way to nearly break something). However, as he comes to stand in the doorway, he’s accosted by the sight of what looks like a piece of fruit skimming through the air only to land in Grim’s mouth as the monster zips up to snag it. It appears that while he was gone you’d started up a little game of throwing food across the room for Grim to catch, and given the lack of mess on the floor it appears the monster’s been doing a fair job of catching what you toss. You’re biting back a chuckle as you reach for the next piece of fruit, aiming an apple slice in Grim’s direction and asking if he’s ready - in response he grins and rubs his paws together.
♡ You toss the piece, watching it move through the air and waiting for Grim to catch it. It looks like your trajectory was a bit off however, as it ends up sailing directly over Grim’s head and towards the windowsill where Rook’s sitting; your face immediately flashes to one of panic as you start to rise from your chair, the beginnings of a warning starting to form. It’s almost seamless how swift Rook turns his head, and before you can even blink he’s holding the apple slice between his teeth, flashing a wink before eating it and praising you for the impeccable aim.
♡ This is the first time that Vil’s seen you visibly brighten at the sight of a challenge, and he finds himself pausing in the doorway as he watches you straighten up in your chair, leaning on your knees as you reach into the pack for the next piece of fruit. This time you pull out a grape, and you shoot Rook a grin as you rear back, aiming the fruit over at his direction as he swivels around in preparation.
♡ This goes on for a few more tosses, and while Vil feels as though he should break up the little exchange, he can’t find it in himself to step in as he watches an orange slice sail across the room in a swift arc and Ace dives from his seat to slide across the floor and catch it, joining in on the fun. The moment he does a roar of triumph rips through the room, and you throw your hands up as you hollar and laugh at the successful shot; only to underestimate how far you’d leaned back and topple right off of your chair. You hit the floor, disappearing from sight, and your friends immediately make a move to check if you’re okay when they hear you laugh, still giggling to yourself by the time your head peeks back up from behind the counter.
♡ You’re disheveled from the fall, hair mussed and collar and tie left askew and loose - had this been usual circumstances, Vil’s first thought would have been to admonish you for letting yourself get into such a unkempt state and he’d have stepped in to correct the slight immediately; instead, his thoughts are trained on your expression, how different it looks from the carefully neutral facade you usually wore. How far that face had come since he’d first met you, now so warm and full of energy, it was as though you were alight with life with each little mark and awry hair only adding to your appearance. You looked...happy, imperfect but somehow...better than beautiful.
♡ Rook’s voice breaks him from entertaining that thought further, clapping his hands together and promptly announcing Vil’s sudden presence to the rest of the party. Vil watches the surprise cross your face, head ducking down so that only your eyes were visible behind the counter as you offer him a timid wave (though the reddening tips of your ears are enough to indicate your embarrassment). He’s swift to stride across the room, rounding the counter to where you’re still kneeling on the floor. You seem shocked when he offers you a hand, and Vil has to ponder just why you’re so shy in his presence as you eye the outstretched hand; you take the offer though, and honestly have to marvel at how soft his hand feels as it holds yours and tugs you up from the floor.
♡ You expect him to move away from you once you’re back onto your feet, but you’re hardly steady again when the hand holding yours moves to your shoulder, balancing you as he gives your disheveled state a once-over. He makes a noise akin to a hum before you feel a hand carding through your hair, smoothing out the otherwise untamable mess with precise fingers and you probably would have flushed under the attention were you not so surprised by the action. Instead of admonishment, Vil finds himself urging you to be careful - potatoes may be sturdy, but he’d rather not have this one getting hurt.
Idia
♡ In all honesty, Idia’s just as introverted, if not more so given his penchant for locking himself away from the world and sticking to the safety of his dorm room at any and all opportunities. So if there’s any chance of you interacting with him, it's either from pure luck, or because you befriended his brother - which given the circumstances, is definitely the latter of the two scenarios. Your shy and reserved personality around others and tendency to clam up in social situations reminds Ortho a lot of Idia, so after his first interaction with you during the Pomfiore auditions he makes an effort to get to know you! It takes you off guard, and Grim butting into the conversation every other minute to ask the boy something arbitrary really doesn’t help with your feelings on the situation; with time, and a little work however, you start opening up a little around him, and with the open and practiced way he approaches you, it isn’t long before the two of you actually become pretty decent friends.
♡ Idia just doesn’t know what to make of you when he hears of your first few meetings relayed directly through Ortho. It’s like you’re some kind of anomaly or glitch that slipped under his radar up until this point in time, and he doesn’t know what trick you’re pulling, but so long as you don’t have any malicious intentions he figures he can tolerate hearing about you. And boy, does he hear it - it’s like you’re involved in just about everything that goes wrong at Night Raven College one way or another, though it seems like it’s through no fault of your own if what he’s seen through the cameras is anything to go by. In a way he almost kind of sympathizes for you, being dragged around every which way by the other dorm heads and students looks exhausting, and you really seem to hate being around all the large crowds that all the school’s events attract. It’s like the only moment of respite you get is with your new flame-haired friend and that talking cat monster, Grim, but Idia doesn’t have much first hand experience when it comes to interacting with you.
♡ The first time you actually meet him face to face, it’s a complete accident. It’s not like he even knew you were going to be coming to the dorm because he hadn’t heard anything about it - it must have been an impromptu invitation, which is really unlike his little brother to do - so imagine his surprise when he rounds a corner and narrowly misses running headfirst into you. He knows what you look like, has seen it through his monitor a few times; hell, you’ve even greeted him through the tablet at dorm leader meetings once or twice when you were close enough to it. But seeing you through a monitor, and seeing you now in the flesh is so jarring that for a hot second he freezes up, looking at you with a baffled expression. You look so different face to face, and he watches you regard him curiously, head cocking to the side as though trying to size him up. It’s only when you give him a confused look and offer a quiet “uhhh,hi?” that Idia realizes what’s going on, and within the next moment he’s gone so fast that you have to double check that he was even there to begin with.
♡ Needless to say, not the best first impression, and Idia’s about ready for the earth to swallow him whole after that incident when you actually go out of your way to approach him the same day. You don’t try to burst into his room or demand him to come out like most of the others, instead you merely knock to announce your presence and mutter out a quiet yet surprisingly serious apology for scaring him back there, mentioning that you hope everything’s okay between you, afterall, you don’t to upset the person that you friend looks up to so much. And then just like that you’re gone, giving him some space as you go off to seek out Ortho.
♡ The friendship between you and Idia is definitely a slowburn, and often has Ortho as the middleman so to speak, being the more outgoing of the three of you when Grim isn’t following you around. Slowly but surely, you open up and start talking to him more, even asking him questions about his games and the kinds of things that he likes to tinker with - it’s a lengthy process, but as Idia spends more time answering your queries he realizes that he’s started to get used to having you around, even kind of looking forward to you coming over. ♡ Idia recognizes the beginnings of a crush, being able to distinguish that these feelings are different than just friendship, and he gets so worked up about it. A lot of his pining is done from afar, as he’d rather keel over and burn the dorm down before he admits his feelings out loud - he’s always thinking of the worst case scenario with social interactions, and just thinking about all the ways you could possibly reject him is enough to make him feel nauseous, so he sticks to just keeping it to himself and lingering on these feelings safely behind closed doors. He’s sure he can keep it to himself, convinced of it...until he sees what you’re like when you’ve warmed up to someone.
♡ He’d crashed in his bed after staying up way too long grinding for an in-game event, leaving you and his brother to play whatever multiplayer he’d dug up for the two of you to take a crack at; Idia’s the first to admit that sometimes he can sleep like the dead if he’s particularly sleep deprived, so it’s not a surprise that he doesn’t wake up till quite a while later. What wakes him up however is laughter - one voice is Ortho’s, he recognizes it immediately, but the other voice takes him by surprise, and he finds himself peeking his head out from the covers, mindful to keep his hair underneath lest he give away that he’s awake.
♡ Idia finds the two of you giggling to yourselves, with you laughing so hard that there’s tears in your eyes as you clap a hand over your mouth to muffle the sound. Ortho isn’t much better, thoroughly entertained by your laughing and trying to hide his own chuckles as you struggle to recompose yourself - it’s a bizarre scene to watch, and Idia has no idea what’s got you so chuffed until you compose yourself enough to inch back over to your controller. Upon looking at the screen, he sees that you’re still playing that game - there’s a cutscene playing, however it doesn’t take much to realize that the model looks wrong, some kind of bug giving them hilariously static poses that look awkward as the panels switch from scene to scene. There’s a split second where it looks like the bug’s corrected itself, and the laughter dies down into breathy chuckles as you move to click the button prompt. But then all Idia sees is the flash of a stock horse model whizzing across the screen and into the sky and Idia watches you and his brother just about crumple with a wheeze all over again.
♡ He’s never seen you even laugh like that before, much less act so ridiculously silly over something as small as a game glitch, but he’s practically glued to watching your reaction, watching this new, boisterous side of you with a rapt fascination. It’s hard to compose yourself while fighting off the giggles, attempting to imitate some of the bizarre cutscenes as you ramble excitedly about how weird and funny that whole thing was. Ortho also makes an attempt to follow suit, and that starts the pair of you off all over again. Idia would be hard pressed to deny that the sight of you and his brother, grinning without a care as your face flushes from all the yelling, didn’t make him ridiculously happy. If this is what you’re usually like, then does that mean he hasn’t unlocked that with you yet? He’s quick to shake away the thought, instead continuing to watch the scene unfolding in his room - he almost wishes that he could join in on the fun.
♡ Well, it looks like that wish comes true, as Ortho spots his brother out of the corner of his eye and greets him as he excitedly points at the screen, wanting to fill him in on what’s happened while he’s been resting. Your head snaps over to his bed, and he sees the flush on your face turn a deeper shade now for a different reason as you offer a timid greeting of your own, still smiling that bright smile as you apologize for waking him up. At being caught Idia doesn’t know what to say so he reacts without thinking, letting out a choked noise and diving back into his covers so you can’t see his face burning in embarrassment, though the way his hair flares up makes the action futile.
Malleus
♡ Malleus garners that you’re rather shy when you first cross paths outside of Ramshackle. He’d heard talk about what you were like, as Lilia had taken a particular interest not long after you’d first arrived at the school, having become what one might consider unconventional lunch buddies between breaks. Lilia spoke rather highly of you, though Malleus had yet to place a face to the name until he’d met you on the dorm grounds. He’s no stranger to others shying away from him or being scared in his presence, if anything, it’s the reaction that he expected you to have at the sight of him lingering within the grounds' poorly lit walkways. However, he’s quick to discern that the way you act in his presence isn’t because you’re scared of him, it’s rather just the way you usually act around others.
♡ This suspicion is confirmed the next time he sees Lilia and brings you up in conversation; at the mention of your name, Lilia’s expression practically brightens up, interested in the young man's apparent newfound interest in you, and doesn’t hesitate to pry into what Mal wants to know. When it comes to your unusually silent demeanor, Lilia’s quick to add that you aren’t always like that - just give it a bit of time for you to warm up to him, and he’s sure that Malleus might well see that there’s more to your personality than what he’s seen.
♡ Mal’s got no idea what Lilia means, but regardless he still finds himself coming back to Ramshackle - when his usual haunts become occupied he thinks little of finding another secluded location, but this time he finds himself returning. At first, you’d only come outside to check that it's him and not someone out wandering the dorm grounds, but after a handful of meetings, Malleus is intrigued to find you following in stride with him during one of his walks. You don’t give any explanation, nor do you bother with asking any arbitrary questions - which honestly suits Mal just fine - instead, when you cross paths, you just start to walk alongside him for a while. The nighttime strolls have no need for talking if you’re not the speaking sort, and he’s hardly the type to complain about trivial things like that - Malleus is fine simply having the company on what would otherwise be a solitary excursion.
♡ The longer the two of you spend these nights together, the more he gets tiny flashes of your warmer side. You begin opening up a little more with talking, making small comments about the weather or any upcoming events of note - it’s mundane things, but the small talk is...surprisingly endearing when previously you said nothing more than what you absolutely had to. Perhaps this is what Lilia was on about back then, is what Malleus thinks to himself; either way, it's just another little thing that keeps him coming back. Mal honestly doesn’t see himself having a crush just yet - it’s just that he enjoys the company, and the way you interact with him, shy but unafraid, intrigues him in such a way that keeps him coming back. That’s how he rationalizes it at least.
♡ His first glimpse of your more open personality is by pure chance. Usually at this time of night he would find you wandering somewhere around the Ramshackle grounds, either actively seeking Malleus out or looking for some fresh air to shake off the stress of the morning hours; however when he can’t seem to find you at your usual spots, he resolves to approaching the ramshackle dorm to search for you. Chances are you’re just late or you aren’t interested in accompanying him tonight - either way, he’d rather find that out for himself so he approaches the dorm with little hesitation. All of the lights inside are off barring one, and Malleus finds himself walking around to see if he can make out whatever’s inside, hoping that it’s you.
♡ And he finds you, but the sight he’s greeted with catches him off guard. He can hear the music through the windows, an upbeat melody that Malleus would never quite pin you as a fan of until now. And as he gets closer to the lights he can see you inside the living room, sliding into view. At first, he doesn’t have a clue what you’re doing, moving across the floor in a weird way that’s not unlike shuffling. After a beat though, Malleus soon realizes that you’re dancing, spinning and jumping around the room without a care in the world, belting the words out at the top of your lungs loud enough that he’s sure you’d wake up your dormmates if you had any, though he can hardly make out the lyrics from beyond the glass.
♡ The sight is...oddly mesmerizing, in a way, not because you’re particularly professional, but because of how lively you’re acting. You look so happy, so carefree compared to the shy and silent persona that you usually convey around others - it's a bizarre sight, to say the least, but at the same time it’s a welcome one, and Malleus simply can’t tear his eyes away. He doesn’t know how long you’ve been at it, but it isn’t long before you tire yourself out, whirling around a final time before you finally stumble and topple back onto the floor. You fall so suddenly that Malleus would have moved closer to check that you were okay were it not for your surprised shout filtering off into giggling once you shake off the shock. You’re frazzled, with hair askew and breathing hard, but at the same time you’re visibly giddy, lost in your own little world and grinning like a fool as you run your hands through your hair and rest your head back against the floor.
♡ Malleus has no idea why, but the sight of you smiling, so unburdened by the world outside has him entranced - it’s like you’re practically glowing with energy that he hasn’t seen before, and he’s transfixed to soaking in all the little details, as though wanting to commit this image to memory. He probably would have strayed a moment longer had you not suddenly moved, rolling off of the floor and scrambling onto your feet as you disappear from view, apparently called away by someone - probably Grim - and as the moment’s broken Malleus finally catches himself, cursing himself for getting so distracted.
♡ He ends up completely forgetting what he came over to do, and ends up taking that walk on his own. But he finds his thoughts during that stroll almost completely occupied by the moment, replaying the scene in his mind and thinking back on that vibrant, beaming smile that had lit up your face - the way you looked when you laughed and moved without a care in the world. A part of him is a little sad that you’re not like that when in his presence, but at the same time he finds himself understanding why you keep that side of yourself so closely guarded. Still, that doesn’t stop Malleus from entertaining the idea that sometime in the future he can see that vibrancy face to face, maybe even directed at him - perhaps there’s something he could do to reassure you that you can open up around him...

-An Act Of Kindness-
It was after his overblot that Azul started to feel uninterested in his work. Empty golden parchment was sitting nicely inside his desk drawer, but he couldn't bring himself to take it out and write another contract. Even the atmosphere inside his office was simply unappealing to him.
So he decided to walk around the dormitory, to freshen up his mind.
He didn't expect to be taken down memory lane during his walk. Especially to a time he wished would just disappear without a trace by a simple wave of his magical pen.
He hated himself as a child. Blamed how he looked as the source of his childhood bullying. Despised how much he cried and hid inside his octopus pot instead of standing up to them. His present self was reflected by the glass that kept the water outside and away from him.
He was no longer the chubby, weak, and dumb octopus he once was. He grew out of that and worked hard to get where he was now. A proud Mage-in-training in one of the two most prestigious magic schools in Twisted Wonderland.
But why did he feel so disappointed by himself now?
He had to sit on the floor with his back facing the glass wall to calm himself. He just over blotted yesterday, intense levels of bad emotions aren't good for his health and welfare.
Usually, the calmness of a quiet area would quickly help him to settle down the thoughts running around in his head. But today it just made it worse. He almost wished he wasn't alone right now, to just hear someone talk about something else so he could focus on that.
"..What am I even doing this for?" His voice filled the emptiness in the hallway and he leaned the back of his head onto the glass behind him.
"In the end, it wouldn't change the fact that I was that ugly dumb octopus.." the poisonous words fell from his lips as if it was something he regularly said without much thought.
"Really? Because the Azul I see is an amazing person!"
He looked up to see you walking towards him from another hallway, you waved at him without an issue just as if you haven't walked in on him talking down on himself. You continued,
"He's intelligent, hard-working, and innovative. Oh, I could go on about him for hours!" You clasped your hands over your chest and pretended to swoon. You ungracefully plop down on the floor beside him, keeping yourself only at an arms distance.
"He also has the prettiest shade of white silvery hair, blue eyes that shines under the lighting like crystals, and a cute lil' mole under his lips." You moved your hands around certain places on your head to further describe Azul's features. Settling them down on top of your knees as you talked in a calmer tone.
"But sometimes, I think Azul can't see how beautiful and great he is."
He looked at you blankly at that sentence. His expression told you that he didn't believe a single word that came out of your mouth. But his eyes told a different story.
"You shouldn't let what people say about you determine your worth, you're the only one with the power to do that. Don't let them take it from you.." You almost pleaded at him to not say such bad things about himself, your eyes concerned for him.
Azul was quiet for a while, staring at your small smile directed towards him. Earnestly. Genuinely.
He took off his glasses and let them dangle between his index and middle finger while he lowered his head to rub his temple, hiding his glassy eyes from your view. He chuckled lowly to himself.
If only he had surrounded himself with more people like you from the start, maybe he wouldn't be as pathetic as he is now, not as scared of the little things in life he taught himself to be afraid of.
You sat beside him patiently, hoping that your words would reach him. You wanted him to look at himself the way you do. You admire this man, truly you do. Even with all of his suspicious, and scamming tendencies and even if he was trembling slightly in his place on the floor. He was trying not to cry in front of you to save just a little bit of his facade.
Azul inhaled and exhaled deeply, putting back his glasses and getting up. He patted his uniform off any invisible dust and adjusted his tie. "I should return to my room, the Mostro Lounge will open in a few more hours. I bid you goodbye, (L/N)-san."
He nodded to you without a glance at your face, making his way back with his fists clenched.
"Take care.." Your words fall on deaf ears as he left.
.......
Inside his room, Azul tried to push your words to the back of his head, pleading to himself to just be silent as he changes into his dorm uniform. He succeeded in switching his pants and shirt quietly, he looked to the mirror as he tied his bowtie. Shaking his head to remind himself to just think of nothing.
It's not like you meant what you said, after all. But you did.
You were just trying to cheer him up, you probably didn't have good intentions. You didn't want to see him sad.
You were just pitying him. You wanted to help him.
His fingers froze on top of his collar after a tear rolled down his cheek without him realizing it. Followed by a few others. He managed to finish his bowtie but his arms quickly dropped to his sides limply.
The words he wanted to hear back then, he was told to by a stranger. Someone he wouldn't remember in a few weeks forward. He yelled to himself that your words didn't mean anything, but why did it matter to him if it didn't?
Azul squatted low in front of his mirror and the comforting silence of his room, let the stress in his heart cry out. The frustration he felt directed towards himself for so many years, burst like fireworks repeatedly.
Even as he sniffled and hiccupped, even with his gloved hands wiping the tears, he felt his heavy heart lighten with every whimper and cry.
Thank you
Thank you for saying that.

Mermay - Azul & Tweels Part 2
TW: Mentions of the Tweels eating a human.
The initial planning stages took no time - after all, Azul was particularly speedy when mind games came into play. Create a potion, find a suitable human mate, give human the potion and hope for a successful transformation without too much mindbreak.
The last part was the hardest and after a few failed attempts (the first potion succeeded but Floyd got too excited and bit their new mate too hard on the neck) the tweels were impatient with Azul and instead the Octomer giving specific criteria for another attempt, both eels pushed him out to search for their final attempt.
“Oya, take as long as you need - we’ll keep everything safe~” Jade sang to Azul, smiling with lovely teeth as Floyd ripped flesh apart and started eating the failed experimental mate behind his brother. “I’ll even tidy up and everything will be just as you left it after our lunch~”
Annoying, but it couldn’t be helped, Azul thought as he slowly made his way towards human civilization. Humans were fragile here and magic was a capricious mistress. As fortune would have it their little hideout was close enough to your city and it was even easier for Azul to glamor himself under a pier and literally materialize on the beach in his formal attire and walking aide.
After all, this was a city and businessman were abundant on the streets. Blending in wasn’t a problem but finding a suitable human for their heat was. While he had been on land before he greatly preferred his small, cozy home and octopot over the sprawling metropolis and loud, smelly vehicles that travelled everywhere.
Finding himself looking up at a familiar and famous coffee shop, our glamoured merman made his way in - even though he despised many human-things, caffeine was definitely more enjoyable on land than sea. The smell, taste, and general atmosphere that this particular store offered had a similarity that his own home had back underwater that he couldn't resist.
*****
Summer was approaching and now that it wasn’t raining all the time, you could enjoy the outside with ease - especially at your favorite café. If you got there early enough, they even had a large garage-door like window they would open so fresh air could make it’s way in. Not to mention the baristas were top-notch and the café stocked their pastries from another famous bakery.
So when you finally sit down in the early morning on the weekend with your favorite hot drink and sugary breakfast and get ready to focus on writing a paper, it takes you by surprise when a businessman your age approaches your table by the window.
“Excuse me, but may I borrow this chair if no ones using it? It seems today is exceptionally busy.” The silken voice literally forced your attention to snap the crisp-looking man in front of you - easy on the eyes and with a beautiful smile to match, you almost didn’t notice the cane. Sympathy floods your heart and forces your guard down.
Glancing around for his spot and seeing that every table was taken, you notice how busy the place is. With a rather large table under your possession and enchanted by this newcomer, you gesture in front of you. Time to be social with someone handsome and procrastinate your work.
“You’re welcome to take the chair but there’s plenty of room here to sit. Are you a local? I haven’t seen you around before! ” You ask a bit too eagerly, pretending to type after your inquiry but really just “AJKHFKHS”-ing on the keyboard to look composed and professional.
Azul stops for a split second at your question, his expression unreadable but taking off his hat and placing it on the table as he sat down.
“Ahh~ Yes I am but I don’t get out much. The weather is just too nice recently to stay holed up and I’ve heard such wonderful things about this place. Do you have any recommendations?” The gentleman asks, folding his hands neatly in front of him as if he would rather not take up too much space. Respectable and easy on the eyes - your family would be ecstatic at this exchange.
“Well you’ve come to a great place! Their lattes are wonderful and they have numerous milk substitutions, plus they get their pastries from this family run business every morning so you know everything is fresh ~“ you continue to gush about your favorite hangout spot and recommend numerous items. He listens to you breathlessly, his gorgeous blue eyes sparkling cryptically as you open up to him.
It was a good thing he was forced him to pick out their mate on his own - Floyd and Jade seemed to rush to pick any human before they were vetted by Azul.
Perhaps that was why the potions weren’t taking? Nevertheless Azul had decided to use this café as his headquarters while on land - for vetting purposes, he told himself as he sipped on one of the delicious drinks you recommended.
He was meticulous in his research and while the two eel mermen would berate him later for taking his time in picking their (hopefully last ) mate, Azul believes it’s worth the time to get it right and you seem like a great candidate.

OH SHIT YUME ITS THE TWEELS BIRTHDAY! We know that everyone is horny as fuck for the birthday boys so why dont we have some sweet crumbs to balance the spice? I give you all creative freedom and access to the sugar stock!
Yume is still crying in disbelief that she got the tweels birthday wrong omg
“Aah~”
Chewing on the piece of cake you innocently plopped inside your mouth, you blinked as Floyd suddenly leaned towards you, opening his mouth in anticipation. You were clueless at what to do at first, Floyd definitely looked like he was expecting you to know so it got you sweating a little bit. However, as his body childish swung from side to side and multiple glances over to the cake you’re eating, you got a rough idea. Scooping out another piece, you gestured this one to him and allowed him to take the bite. “Here you go.” You said, lighting up as Floyd happily took it.
“So yummy~!” Floyd said with his mouth full, cream left on his cheek as he excitedly bounced in his seat. Seeing how much of a child your senior is, it made you smile in a way as he actually looks rather innocent to you right now. “I don’t know what you’re doing but for some reason, everything that Little Shrimpy feeds me tastes so much more delicious~!”
“How do you do that, Little Shrimpy~? Tell me, tell me~! Is it magic?” Floyd cooed, leaning closer to you and opening up his mouth again. “More, more~! Feed me more~!”
“I don’t think it’s magic though? I can’t even use that...” You sweatdropped but proceeded to feed the excited twin more pieces of cake, enjoying the way his cheeks would move as he chew. You have no clue what he was trying to imply but you decided to go along with him for now. You grabbed a tissue nearby and wiped away excess cream near his lips which earned you a boyish giggle from the guy.
Floyd seemed a bit more energetic than usual, probably because it’s his and his brother’s birthday. You find it really cute actually, he was usually the clingiest one out of the two but today, he just seem like he wanted to be spoiled rotten. Of course, you don’t really have the reason to deny that kind of request so you didn’t mind at all.
“Floyd, you shouldn’t casually cling onto (Y/N)-san like that...” A voice far calmer than Floyd’s rung in the room and looking up met you face to face with his brother, Jade. He was wearing the same outfit as him, signifying that this day is not only special for just one person. Despite having the same face, Jade was much more refined than his twin, his signature smile still painted a smile on his face as he stepped inside. “You’re going to bother her in this case.”
“Eeh~ Don’t be a killjoy, Jade! It’s fine, it’s fine~!” Floyd said as he suddenly wrapped his arms around you, startling you slightly to the point that you almost dropped the plate of cake you were holding. “Little Shrimpy looks like she’s having fun too though~”
“How about you try to acting a little carefree too, Jade~? It’s our birthday, after all~!” Floyd suggested, laughing as he nuzzled against you. “Little Shrimpy thinks so too, right~?”
“Of course! Jade-senpai should just relax on his special day too!” Jade could only blink at those words, seeing as you smiled at him. He looked to the side, placing his hand on his mouth as if he was thinking deeply. He watched as you plopped another piece of cake inside Floyd’s mouth, his brother looking so ecstatic during all of it that it startled Jade for a bit. His brother had never been this close to someone other than him and Azul before, let alone a mere human like you. So, suffice to say that he’s caught off-guard, he always thought Floyd was just playing with you.
“...Well then, if you don’t mind...” Jade said, a smile gracing his features as he gracefully sat beside you and Floyd, his posture fine and well-trained. Your mouth couldn’t help but to open, dumbfounded as the usually serious and cunning Jade Leech turned to you and closed his eyes before opening his mouth. The slight blush appearing on his cheeks was proof that he wasn’t used to such actions.
You blinked as your mind went blank for a second, but a sweat dropped down your forehead. This was kind of...You can’t find the right words to say but seeing Jade with his eyes close and mouth open, looking all vulnerable like this without instructing you on what to do, it made your heart race. He looked quite erotic too, not that you’ll ever say it out loud. Meanwhile, Floyd shifted beside you, pouting. “Eh, what are you doing, Jade? If you want Little Shrimpy to feed you, you gotta wait for your turn!” Floyd whined. “Get your own cake too!”
However, despite the constant whines of his brother, Jade remained his position, patiently waiting for your move which only irked his other half. Because of this, you couldn’t help but to giggle, lifting up another piece of cake towards him. “Here you go.” You said, the fork reaching inside his mouth, the sweet taste of the cake engulfed his taste buds.
The taste actually captured Jade off-guard, it still has the same flavor as the cake he had before but somehow, it felt special. Opening up his eyes and seeing your gentle smile directed at him was magically adding more spice to the food. Floyd was right, simple food does taste better when you’re the one who’s feeding it to him. What a mystery, you even had Jade this stumped about it.
“Eh!? Little Shrimpy, you traitor! That was supposed to be for me~!” Floyd whined louder as he began to shake your shoulders. “You’re already cheating on me, that’s so unfair! Little Shrimpy~!”
You nervously giggled at Floyd’s outburst, slowly becoming dizzy on the way he was racking your body. “S-Sorry, I’ll give the next bite to you, okay...?” You said, just to calm him down but was met with nothing but puffed cheeks as response from the guy. You resorted into patting his head as the final line of defense, luckily, Floyd accepted such gesture and nuzzled closer to you, muttering about stuff.
Covering his mouth as he chewed the sweet cake, Jade had turned his eyes on your every move. “...It’s delicious.” He said, making you turn your head towards him. “Can I please have more?”
“No-“
“Gladly!” You said, scooping another piece and before the whining eel on your shoulders could complain about it, Jade already went forward and bit the cake off the fork. You felt bad for betraying Floyd once again but Jade genuinely looked happy being fed like this. He was less messier than his brother but somehow, just at this moment, he carries the same childish energy around him. It was endearing and you couldn’t help it.
...But then again, you felt the hands around you tighten which sent shivers down your spine. “...Little Shrimpy, you’re such a liar.” You heard Floyd right at your ear, his voice sounding a little less enthusiastic and you knew from past experience that it’s never a good thing. He puffed his cheeks, scrunching his eyebrows down. “I can’t trust you anymore! Hmph!”
“E-Eh...Floyd-senpai...?” Though he said that and looked away from you, he never let go of your body. It’s funny actually, it seems like he wanted to sulk but his body is just refusing to leave from yours. Anyway, it’s not good to keep Floyd in this mood, so you tried to shift your attention back to him again. You gestured another piece of cake in his direction but the guy just refuses to look back at you, pouting all the way. You sweatdropped, this was definitely going to be a challenge. “H-Here you go, this one is for you, Floyd-senpai~! Aah~!”
Jade smiled at the sight of the stubborn pouting Floyd as he swallowed the cake he received. “(Y/N)-san, if Floyd doesn’t want it then, would it be fine if I could have it?” He said, his smile suddenly contorting into a mischievous smirk which immediately got on Floyd’s nerves. “He doesn’t seem to be in the mood so-“
“Who said I don’t want it!?” Floyd yelled as he aggressively mauled the piece of cake before you could even react. “Arr eath whafever Wittwe Sswiphy fhed mmhe! Ifh ghod!”
You sweatdropped. “I didn’t have a single clue on what you said but you might choke, so eat slowly, okay?” You nervously giggled, patting Floyd’s head, feeling his mood getting lighter with the way he nuzzled back onto you again.
Jade gave a chuckle as well before scooting closer to you. You glanced at what he was going to do, only for you and Floyd to flinch when he dropped his head onto your other shoulder. “...I can see why Floyd is always wrapping his arms around you.” He said, closing his eyes in relaxation as if he was just at a warm fireplace. He turned to look at you, in which induced a small blush on your cheeks, especially when he gave a gentle smile. “You’re very warm.”
Ah, what a different side to Jade that you have come to see this special day. He was someone you were unable to read from the very first day, the only times his true emotions let out is when it’s so blatantly obvious that he was going to commit yet under shady business. But this time, you saw another side to him, an unexpected gentleness residing in him. It was your first time seeing how vulnerable he is, chuckling by your shoulders like this.
Dare you say that it was actually cute.
“What are you doing, Jade!? This is my spot, you know~!” Floyd puffed his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around your neck, almost to the point of strangling you. “Let go of my Little Shrimpy~”
Jade merely smiled as calmly as ever. “No, I don’t think I want to.” He said and wrapped his arms around your waist as tight as the arms around your neck. “You were the one who said that I should act all carefree just for this day, correct?”
Jade gave him the smuggiest smirk he could give, making his brother growl in response. “So, there’s no harm in having (Y/N)-san to spoil me a little too, right?” He said, tilting his head to the side with a close-eyed smile.
“U-Um...I-I’m kinda getting...” Ah, that’s no use. These twins are definitely in their own little world now, you know them well enough to know that it’s always been like that. The hands on your neck and waist are pulling you on two different directions, you actually feel like you gonna dislocate a bone or two. But ignoring these two’s silly little feud, they genuinely feel a lot more livelier than before and that’s the good thing. Knowing that knowledge alone, you were glad despite how suffocating it felt on your physical body.
Putting the plate of cake down on your lap, you pat the twins’ head, letting them off their steam. Honestly, it was the only gesture you could do without the risk of breaking apart in two. You kinda feel like a mother of two rebellious but lovable children, it’s troublesome but the outcome is just worth the risk. You just hope Azul wouldn’t be too surprise when he opens the door and finds these two eels exceeding over a hundred and ninety centimeter in height crushing on your poor little body. Three bodies are a bit of handful right now.
This fic includes a high risk of Tweels Diabetes! (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

¤°~Ghost Marriage: Lovely Bride To Be?! Part 3°~¤
Previously...
"STOP YOUR STEP!!"
At the end of the hall, Senior Vanrouge and Sebek were conversing with the ghosts knights. "They became angery just because of a mere joke I made about them. Such a bunch of narrow minded ghosts." Lilia jests with ignorance in his tone.
"Ugh, the guys from Diasomnia! Why did you bring these ghosts here?!" Ace yells out in fear. "You naive ghosts who dare to snarl at Lilia. I'll get rid of you guys!" Sebek said with very little amusement.
Present Time..
After the fight with the ghosts. The student's and Headmaster go to the field so ghosts won't bother them. Students who were also kicked out the school stayed at the field. "Ha...haaa. Ugh the sides of my stomach hurt so much." Ace tries to say as he and Deuce groan and grumble in pain.
"Ace, Deuce." A familiar voice spoke. "Ah, Prefect Roseheart!" The two huff out as they nod. Azul and Kalim stood next to Riddle, but Azul looks at the two with confusion. "Where is Prefect (Y/N)? Shouldn't you two be with her?" The prefect of Octavinelle points out.
The A-Deuce combo only shrug. "I think she got mixed up the crowed." Deuce says as he looks at the growing crowd of students. "How did you guys get put here?" Ace asks the three dorm leaders.
"We had gotten chased out by some ghosts that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Even though it was valuable time for the three of us to study together." Kalim responded, while Azul shot him tired glance. "Kalim. Shouldn't it be "valuable time where we teach you about studying."?" Riddle could only sigh and cross his arms. "We almost got Kalim to understand the question..!"
"When we stayed in class, a bunch of ghosts appeared. They chased us out while saying, "this will be the brides fitting room!"" Grim watched as more students came up to them. Telling the same tale. "Everyone who was kicked out from campus has already gathered around..!"
"It seems like the whole campus has been taken away by those ghosts." Deuce said rather calmly. Ace on the other hand was more shocked than calm. "Oi! Principal, what's going on!?"
Before Mr. Crowley could respond, Ortho decided to explain. "I'll be the one to explain. You see, yesterday..." Once the young Shroud told everyone of the events that occurred. Everyone went silent. The only person who spoke after Ortho, was Riddle.
"The ghost groom has been searching for his ideal princess. Then had chosen (Y/N) as his ideal bride... That's the idea, correct?" Riddle revised as his expression was oddly calm. "WHAT!!!!" The group of NRC boys all screamed in anger and fear, a lot of other expression as well.
"We need to save her!!" Ace says immediately after the video was shown. "What will happen to (Y/N) if she does marry the Ghost Groom?!" Deuce asks the principal with fret. Mr. Crowley casted his eyes downward, with a somber voice he said.
"If (Y/N) marries the ghost prince, that is the same meaning of signing a contract. Which will mean, once the wedding is over.. SHE WILL FOLLOW HER SOON-TO-BE-HUSBAND TO THE UNDERWORLD!!!" "EEEEHHH!!!" Everyone yelled out in shock.
Mr. Crowley continues: "I put my guard down because I never would of expected someone who meets the conditions of the prince and his ideal Princess would exist in this world." Headmaster Crowley said with dread in every word he spoke.
"(Y/N)... Is going to be a ghost..!?" Epel gasps out with fear. "We can't let that happen!" Jack gruffs out as he bared his fangs. Many others agreed at helping the female student from her impending doom.
"We need to come up with a plan then!" Ortho tells the group of fired-up teens. "How about we start talking with them? We can throw a party! I bet that the ghosts will definitely let (Y/N) go if we just explain the situation."
The young Al-Asim heir suggested to his fellow peers. Rook nods, agreeing with his classmates. "A truly splendid idea, Roi d'or." A slim smile crepts on Rooks lips, "though..." The huntsman drawls out, his eyes turn a bit narrow.
"Do you think you'll be able to persuade a groom who has been searching for his bride for so long?" Rook crossed his arms over his chest as he continues on. His voice hinting with amusement. "If I was in his place, I'd never let my beloved go."
Leona growls, "so our only option is to just beat those ghost into submission." Vil scoffed at Leona and his idea. "Have you forgotten that we all ran all the way out here because we couldn't do just that." The male model said sassily with a frown gracing his painted lips. "No matter what we did, we couldn't defeat all those ghosts."
The headmaster starts to speak, "they are truly a infuriating opponent to take on. We should avoid confrontation as much as possible." Lilia starts to ponder as Crowley squawked about. "Lord Sam is well versed in the ways of ghosts and things of a spiritual nature. Shall we go see what he has to say on the matter?"
"Lord Sam... Do you mean Sam from the student store?" Deuce questioned the old fae. Lilia hums, "I was acquainted with his great grandfather." Cater starts to laugh dryly. "I still can't tell when you're joking or when your being serious... Lilia."
"Then we must make haste to the student store!" The headmaster yells as he and the others rush to Sam's shop. As soon as the shop door closed, Sam greets them. "Yo, headmaster and little demons. Whay could you be looking for that brought you all here?"
Sam chuckles and shakes his head. "Kidding! I know you're looking for something to deal with that ghost groom, right?" Sam told the group of teens and headmaster. Riddle is perplexed by Sam and his words. "This speeds things up but it sounds like you knew we would end up here."
Sam starts to laugh once more. "My friends on the other side bring me all kinds of info." Soon Sam's voice quickly turns less cheerful. "But things are getting really dicey. Ghost are tied to this world by a really powerful "lingering attachment".
Sam explained more in depth on what he meant. How they still come back because of the "attachment". "And as long is it remains, they'll keep comin' back." Grim felt realization struck him like lightning. "That's why the ghost of Ramshackle keep coming back!"
"Bingo! Precisely. That's why ghosts are so hard to handle." Ortho asked how they can save (Y/N), saying there was no such item like that to get rid of the ghost permanently. Sam grins and says, "IN STOCK NOW!" Azul looks at Sam selection while Leona tsks.
"Groom and brides are especially quick to meet tragedy. So they turn into ghosts all the time." Sam then holds up a item, "to get rid of a ghost groom. You need the "ring of severance." Slide this ring onto the host's left finger while saying "I shall love you till death do us part." And it will forcibly send him to the other side."
"How could (Y/N) give this to him? She's not even here!" Vil said as he picks up the small ring. Crowley gasped as he remembers something about the ghost groom. "Hold on a moment, the ghost groom was a boy who loved a challenge."
"So if one of you asked for (Y/N)'s hand. He'll see it as a duel for her hand in marriage, you don't have to win. But you must be able to give her the ring and tell her what to say." Lilia giggles at the crows plan. "It'll be fun to watch the drama unfold by stealing someone's bride."
"We shall call this plan... "Operation, Lovely Bride To Never Be!"" The headmaster said confidently, "it's a bit long for a name." Ace mutters under his breath. "Now I must decide on who the grooms will be for his plan." Crowley exclaimed as the male students to crowd and shout. "I'll do it!" "Let me do it!" "As if!"
The headmaster started to sweat with nervousness stirring in him. The gleaming eyes of the students were scaring him! It was almost as if each student was ready to take a role as a groom by ANY means necessary. Which it seemed like the students were readying themselves for.
"Alright alright! Will do a vote! I will write down all of your names and put them in my hat. I'll choose four grooms for this operation. So that means four names will be drawn." Mr. Crowley says with a exasperated look on his face.
_________________________________________________________
(Y/N) sat in the far corner of the "fitting room." She held a blank expression as she looks at herself. She wore a beautiful wedding (gown/suit/ect) as her hair was spruced up and was placed into a (loose/ponytail/ect). A (white/gold/silver) tiara with a veil attached to it was on her head. (Y/N) wanted to rip the thing off her, but then the ghost would force the item back onto her head again.
Sighing and cursing under her breath. (Y/N) felt queasy, or maybe it was because she hadn't ate anything yet. This was all happening so fast! (Y/N) did not want to be married to this ghost groom. She hoped that her friends would find a way to get too her before the wedding started.
"Bleh..." The female utters as she looks at her bare feet. A knock was heard on the door as a soft "coming in" was heard. A slim ghost that wore a white suite appears in front of her. He was the nanny of the ghost groom.
"Come, my dear lady. Your fiance is waiting, he needs your help with decorations and would like your words on it." (Y/N) felt herself become stiff, but agrees. Playing along was her better chance of escaping her "wedding". "Of course," (Y/N) said politely as she walks with nanny ghost.
The two reach the cafeteria, now transformed with pretty decorations and tombstones. Along with dark blue flowers and white sheets cover each table. The nanny smiles at his prince with nostalgia. "It seems like only yesterday you were a small child. Trying to find follow your dream and find your dear princess. A dream you lost long ago with your life as well. What a cruel twist of fate." The nanny said as his voice started to crack.
"If only I had arrived at your room faster, I could of helped you escape..." The sweet prince smiles at his caretaker. "It is alright now, know need to bring up the past. Don't let all that stuff bring you down."
The young princes smile never faltered. "Besides, going through all that pain and sadness is what allowed me to meet (Y/N)!" His caretaker could feel his spirits lift at the princes words. "Oh prince Elias, you are always so courageous and strong."
(Y/N) could feel her heart cry at what she heard. She didn't know that... Breathing in a gulp of air, she slowly walks closer to the two. 'It's gonna be okay..' "You did a great job Elias." (Y/N) said as she gives him a small smile.
The ghost groom returns her smile tenfold as he looks at his bride. "My goodness, (Y/N)! You look just as beautiful as a.. Well beautiful than an' undead flower!" Elias said happily, (Y/N) giggles at his childish wording.
"Thanks." The caretaker gives the two a tender look. "You both are just perfect for one another. Prince Elias, we must get you ready before nightfall. You have to look your best for your princess."
The caretaker jests as he pushes the prince out of the cafeteria. "Wha- but I wanted to-!" "No sir, you must get ready. *Sigh* your still a stubborn little boy too." Elias waves at (Y/N), "I shall see you soon, my love!"
Once the two were gone, the ghost soldiers take (Y/N) back to the dressing room. Before the door closed, (Y/N) asks them something. "Can I please have something to eat? I haven't ate in a few hours."
To be continued...
(Okay, part three was supposed to be the end of the series. But that didn't happen, so I'll do my best to make sure part four is the last installment. I really wanna get to work for the Halloween event for Twst and a bunch of other stories I wanna put on this account! But I have to wait until I finish part four. Thanks for reading!)

riddle, azul, vil, and malleus w/ the reader turned baby
@itzalexblogsquad asked: Hey, If you can, can I request of Mabye headcannons or scenarios of Mabye Mallues, Riddle, Azul and mabye Vil taking care of a baby reader that turned into a baby on accident? It’s okey if you don’t want to 😙
how could i possibly turn down such a cute request? off topic but based off of lilia’s card translations, MALLEUS CAME FROM AN EGG? LIKE EGG? AND HE BREATHES FIRE?! NANI
okay on to the headcanons under the cut!
riddle rosehearts
HE WOULD STRAIGHT UP P A N I C
riddle doesn’t really have experience babysitting or spending a majority of his time around kids, LET ALONE BABIES, so this was going to be a struggle for him
he couldn’t even process all the information and pace back and forth around the room, leaving you (an innocent and confused little baby) to just stare at him
he would awkwardly pick you up in his arms and hold you tight (because he was so paranoid that you’d fall or he’d mess up in a way)
he ran directly to trey and begged him to help
basically riddle was begging and pleading in tears
“so i’m now basically babysitting two babies.” trey commented
trey would do all of the ‘taking-care-of-the-baby-and-doing-grown-up-stuff’ while riddle would watch from afar
he slightly hesitated when trey said it was okay for him to play with you
at first he only poked your cheek with his index finger, but once he saw you wrap your tiny hand around his finger and the warmth along with it, his personality had a 180 degree turn
“w..widdle!” you cooed and riddle felt like he was going to have a heart attack
he would dance around the room with you in his arms, sing you lullabies, feed you really sweet tarts (which trey had to snatch out of his arms), and force cater to take as many pictures of you as possible
in conclusion, he was cold and distant at first. hesitant even. but now he couldn’t even stay as long as five seconds away from you
riddle would throw celebrations and tea parties almost every single day for you and his excuses would be for the most dumb of reasons
let’s just say you were a spoiled baby if you were ever around riddle and the other heartslabyul boys
azul ashengrotto
azul would get straight into working on an antidote to fix this little accident so he left jade and floyd to deal with you
honestly he said that hesitantly to the both of them and he secretly wanted to spend time with you. jade and floyd was able to see through his tsundere-like personality and secretly left the door to the potion room slightly ajar, causing you to crawl inside.
well it was a horrible idea which the two of them didn’t even consider because you started knocking down vials of potions
azul let out a high pitched scream and picked you up to ensure you were safe
he thought that it was going to be a calm, quick, easy session of making the antidote, bUT OH BOY HE WAS WRONG
you couldn’t stop moving from one place to the other, biting everything you saw, and basically just being in danger all the time
azul felt like dramatically crying "why is my job so difficult?”
when he thought you finally stopped moving around and crawling around he went back to working but that’s when he felt something heavy clinging on his leg
you wrapped your small arms around his leg and didn’t want to let go
“(y/n)...(y/n), dear, please let go.” this caused you to wail and allowed azul to sigh to himself
he brought it upon himself to just pick you up and placed you on the back of his neck, where your two arms were around his neck to prevent you from falling
“now, now. stop crying okay? that’s better right? now let me work turning you back to normal okay?”
finally it was peaceful and quiet and he was surprisingly able to get the antidote done in no longer than 10 minutes
just when he was about to hand it over to you, you grabbed on his sleeves and started to tear up “a-azuw”
azul felt a tug on his heartstrings. although he admitted that you were annoying and such a disturbance, he actually found those times to be well...somewhat fun. he didn’t want you to turn back into your original age just yet.
“alright, alright. as long as we have the antidote, it’ll be fine.” he placed the antidote in his pocket and carried you.
of course he’d be super possessive and be the only one who’s allowed to carry you and he won’t even let jade and floyd play with you. what a tsundere.
vil schoenheit
“ROOK! LOCK ALL MY COSMETICS IN OUR EMERGENCY SAFE! DON’T FORGET THE BRUSHES AS WELL!”
yeah literally the first thing he thinks of when he sees you as a baby is how much destruction you can have upon his own precious babies (his cosmetics lol)
vil does not do well with kids, ESPECIALLY BABIES AND TODDLERS. so he’d just leave rook and epel to take care of you
so you were currently on the floor of his bedroom, playing around with rook and epel and vil just sat in a chair far away from you just admiring his own nails
epel was getting a little frustrated. you were such an angel and you didn’t even wreck anything, and so he wanted to teach vil a lesson. “hey, rook, come here.” he whispered his plan into his ear and rook evilly agreed.
out of nowhere vil felt a weight on his lap and looked down to see you, eyes wide and sparkling staring directly back at his own.
“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! ROOK! EPEL! COME BACK THIS INSTANT!” he shouted at them as they left the room in laughter.
so there he was. alone in his room with a baby on his lap.
he hesitantly and stiffly picked you up to stare at you “what am i supposed to do with you?”
“viw? viw!” you smiled which caused something in vil to change just slightly
“babies are disgusting but you make an exception.” he smiled, cuddling you close to him
little did he know...you were chewing on his precious, beautiful, flawless blonde locks
“....(Y/N)! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!” he pouted and stared into your eyes. he went all weak when he saw your big, sparkling eyes, and honestly he just melted.
“...fine then, i’ll scold you when you’re back to normal.”
rook and epel peeped from the door and saw vil asleep on the chair with you cuddled up against his arms
“how cute...” “cute for blackmail?” “heheh, you read my mind.”
malleus draconia
he’d probably be okay with dealing with you since he did take care of silver when he was younger
he would scoop you up in his arms and bring you for a stroll along the forest
malleus would sing you a lullaby as he gently rocked you in his arms while strolling through the sunlight filled woods
his voice would be so calming, so soothing, and honestly it’s perfect for any baby
you two would stop in a meadow filled with flowers and that’s where he would start making small little flower crowns for you
he would also most likely use his magic to manipulate the flowers and trees around him, making some sort of cradle from branches and flowers for you to be placed in
honestly his heart is just soft for human babies
this is probably what almost all babies want tbh and you can’t stop smiling and giggling every second you spent with malleus
“maw! maw!” “(y/n)...it’s malleus.” “mawwe!” “oh well. you’re cute so i won’t blame you.”
you two spent the whole day in the forest and as sunset approached he took you to the edge of a cliff by the ocean and watched the sunset with you
he considered flying with you in his arms and bringing you to see different sights but well...he could leave that for another time
“i love you, (y/n). both in this baby form and your original form.” he landed a kiss on your small nose
so honestly, malleus is just the dream, ideal boi when taking care of you turned into a baby
and now let a♕-chan transport herself to twisted wonderland and turn into a baby to be spoiled by malleus
♡
im so soft for malleus omg ;-; p.s. expect a little 1000 followers celebration sometime later. maybe. i’m still confused lolol
love, a♕

I absolutely adore your 23 prompt with the entire Heartslabyul bois! Can we please have 23 “Some people just aren’t meant to take care of themselves.” but with the Octavinelle trio too?
(Whelp I’m going to use the same concept of soulmates since I’m doing the same prompt)
23. “Some people just aren’t meant to take care of themselves.”
(Yandere! Octavinelle Trio x Fem! Reader)
When the little red threads first appeared around (Y/n)’s pinky she was so excited. She ran inside to show off the three strings to her parents who did not share her enthusiasm.
No instead of feeling joy for their child’s future they sat her down for a lecture on how terrible it was that there were multiple strings. How the very existence of two additional threads was a terrible sin that could not be forgiven.
By the end of it (Y/n)’s spirits were low and her heartbroken long before it had even had a chance to love. As years passed by and she watched people begin to pair off she began to understand her parents reaction. Something had to be wrong with her, it was impossible to have multiple soulmates.
But impossible things coming true for (Y/n) turned out to be very possible when she fell through a magic mirror and ended up in a faraway land called Twisted Wonderland. In this new world she came to call home, things were never quite as they seemed. That last part especially fit the friend group she made with the boys of the Octavinelle dorm.
(Y/n) treasured each of her friendships with trio like they were precious gems. Back home she’d been a loner, fearful that if anyone discovered that she had multiple red threads they’d reject her. However if she’d known what would happen when the boys found out about her secret... she would have cut ties in an instance.
The incident started innocently enough. Floyd had been hugging her tightly like he always when it was time for her to return to her dorm. Jade had been trying to gently pry her away so he could press a kiss to her cheek while Azul put the finishing touches on a contract before he walked her back to Ramshackle for the night.
And then it happened. Like all those years ago, (Y/n)’s red threads appeared round her pinky. What was new was the revelation of where the threads ended: around the boys’ fingers. For a long moment everyone was still with surprise before finally Azul began to laugh softly.
Before (Y/n) even had a chance to protest, Floyd’s grip when from tight to suffocating and she passed out from lack of oxygen. When she awoke she found herself alone on the couch in Azul’s office, no wait that wasn’t accurate. The boys were still nearby, the trio crowded around the desk as they argued over something.
When they finally came to an agreement, only then did their attentions return to her and she spied the object they’d been fussing over: a contract. Even without being told what it said or who it was for she knew. She knew it was for her and there wasn’t much she could do to resist, if she refused to agree to the contract’s terms she’d end up with a few broken bones.
So with deep regret, (Y/n) took the pen that was offered to her and signed her personal death warrant. With her signature given and future consent taken, (Y/n) found herself being frogmarched by the twins. She soon found herself in an eel sandwich and hating every minute of it.
The next day was a nightmare, the twins swapping her between each class until she was almost ready to beg for mercy. The worst part was how causal-intimate they acted during lunch. Floyd placing her in his lap while Jade fed her chunks of food before licking her lips clean.
It was almost a relief that the next day (Y/n) only had to deal with Azul. Almost a relief being the key phrase. The octoboy seemed desperate to make it clear to anyone and everyone that she belonged to him. Even going as far as to makeout with her in class despite the teacher’s disapproval.
So the sick cycle went, with her being passed around like a toy between the merboys each day. Her mind slowly shredding under the pressure and she was ready to give in. But only after her final plea was answered, why did they do it?
The answer? All to simple to obtain between kisses, bites and hickies galore. “Some people just aren’t meant to take care of themselves”
“Shrimpy”
“Angelfish”

I got inspired by a vocaloid song I liked when I was 13. Its ok bc Azul :)
It’s demon! Azul! that is probably the most obvious au i can think of, but its okay and I do not feel bad.
Warnings: manipulation, soul stealing, nightmare mention, implied yandere
It was another restless night. You were used to it at that point, looking up at your ceiling and hoping beyond hope that you would fall asleep. And you were tired, no one could deny that. It was just the idea of seeing
You didn’t want to think about the nightmares that you were having. They were awful. You always found you in such a terrible inky black world, felt as if your heart was being torn from your chest. It would seem your body would rather be asleep than experience that over and over. But it led to your current dilemma.
It had been three days now. You needed to sleep soon, lest you pass out during work or worse. You needed to sleep. This sick cycle had been going on for a month now, getting nightmares then staying up for ages until you passed out and had more nightmares.
You huffed as your body seemed only to get more restless, pulling you out of your bed. You went over to the window and pulled it open, hoping to get some air. You sighed as you looked up at the moon. The full moon has just passed. Maybe it was the light that was making you so restless. Once the New Moon came, you would be able to sleep with how dark the sky became. You hoped. It seemed that with the month you had been suffering, it was all just terrible hopes and wishes.
“It’s a bit late for stargazing, isn’t it?” You immediately turned to the voice that seemed to creep up out of nowhere, only to see… A man? No, this thing wasn’t a man. Although he had the features of one, there was something off about the look of his eyes. He was beautiful, fancily dressed with a good hat and a freshly pressed shirt. He wore fashionable glasses and had a rather nice coat, to the point where one may suppose that he may be a gentleman of sorts. His silver blue hair fell just past his ears, but you could see them poking out just a little. You noticed a point to them and steeled yourself. Despite his looks, he was no gentleman. You could already tell such a thing.
“I was just going to go to bed. Apologies if I had interrupted your walk.” You said, turning you back immediately and moving to your bed without closing the window. But the man only laughed, choosing to let himself lean against your windowsill and and gently lean into your room.
“You will be? That’s a shame. I had heard you haven’t been able to sleep at all. I was hoping I would have someone to talk to at this late hour.” He said. You flinched, turning your head. You were ready to snap at the being in front of you, but his expression was so gentle.
“Where did you hear that?” You asked, trying to keep your voice smooth. Who knows what would happen if you made some being at your windowsill angry? But he laughed, leaning his head against his hand.
“You know, usually you ask the name of the person you’re talking to before asking questions.” He told you, as if gently chiding a child. “But I hear most everything. Every crone will gossip about any young person they see. Especially one drifting off at their job.” He said. You pursed your lips, looking away.
“I… I’m trying my best. I’ll be able to sleep tonight, don’t you worry.” You said, moving over to the window to get ready to shoo away this mysterious stranger.
“You will? With the nightmares you’ve been having? You know, I know just the cure for those sorts of dreams.” The man told you. It was the word cure that made you pause. You wanted to question again how he knew about your nightmares, but you were sure you’d get the same answer as before. Something told you that he wasn’t all that forthcoming. And besides, you had told your coworkers and friends about it. Had he overheard you?
“You can…?” You paused and shook your head. “I’m not interested in any sort of sleep medicine you have. I don’t really have time for a sales pitch, Mr…” You really had never asked his name, had you? He only smiled.
“Azul. Please, it’s no medicine.” Azul hopped through your window as if it were nothing, moving to seat himself in your desk chair as if he owned the place. You were shocked at how absolutely comfortable he was to look around your home, to set himself comfortably. It was if he was able to go and make himself tea as well. He motioned for you to sit, and for whatever reason, you obeyed. You sat down on the edge of your bed across from him, just staring at him wide eyed.
“Have you ever considered magical intervention for this problem?” Azul asked you. You blinked. Magic…? You looked away, almost shuddering at the thought.
“We don’t have magicians and stuff like that around here. It’s looked down upon.” You responded meekly. He only scoffed at the idea.
“Well now, then there’s your problem. You’re not willing to explore ideas outside of your comfort zone.” Azul said in a bit of a harsher tone. You looked away, curling in on yourself. You were doing the best that you could, right? But, as soon as Azul saw it, he smiled. “Ah, but don’t worry. I have the solution here for you.” He told you. You blinked, looking at him before speaking again.
“And… And you really think that this will help me?” You asked. “Do you really think you’ll be able to help me sleep?” You asked. Azul gave you a lovely smile as he held a hand to his chest.
“Of course. I would never lie to you. I will be able to make you sleep, no doubt about it. You’ll just have to pay me back once you do.” You turned pale at the thought of payment, already grabbing your wallet to try and see how much you had.
“Ah, don’t bother with that. I could never accept a payment up front. After all, what if it doesn't work?” He chuckled. “Of course, it will, but I like to make sure my customers are insured.”
“W… What exactly is going to be the cost?” He was some sort of demon. You could feel it, see it even. But there was something so inexplicably beautiful about him, from those blue eyes to the mole on his chin like a drop of the most exquisite ink. It comforted you, just a little.
“Oh, nothing much. Don’t worry, I tend to like things humans usually don’t even think about. Things that rarely cross your mind.” He hummed. Well, that would be simple, right? Did he really just like trinkets and such? It might be risky, but… God, you were so tired. No other method had worked, and you knew Azul knew that. It would be fine, right? Something you rarely thought about… Well, it couldn’t be that hard.
“Fine. I accept, please. Just help me.” You said. Azul smiled, standing up as he held up his hand.
“Then it’s a deal. I’ll come back on the New Moon to check on your progress.” He told you, before taking your own hand and raising your pinky up. “Why don’t we make a nice promise? I always think young people like these sorts of things.” Ah, was Azul a lot older than you then? But he looked the same age you did. Still, as he raised your pinky, it seemed as if he wanted to make a promise with you like that. You couldn’t help but laugh as the two of you made your small pinky promise.
But, your laughter didn’t last long. The moment Azul pulled away from you, you felt an intense drowsiness fall over you as you instinctively crawled into bed. Azul looked over you with a smile, much more satisfied than the last few he’s given you. He walked to your window, ready to leave before calling out to you again. Your eyes were just barely fixed on him, your eyelids feeling oh so heavy.
“Have a pleasant evening, (Y/n).” And with that, you fell into an empty sleep.
When you woke up the next morning, you burst up, looking around. You really… Were able to get a good night’s sleep? Was all of that with Azul just a dream? You got up and saw that your window was still open, a gentle breeze blowing your curtains back. You looked around outside, but there weren’t even footprints. He really was just gone.
“Maybe it was all a dream…” You decided not to worry too much about it. After all, you slept. You felt rested. And that was enough for you.
But, that didn’t last for long. After a few days, it felt as though sleep wasn’t helping at all anymore. Although you could fall asleep now, every time you woke up, you felt just as tired as when you were awake. Your sleeps were empty, like death itself. It was definitely not as troubling as before, but still. You were still exhausted. After a week, you were in the same position you were in before. Falling asleep at work, dozing off left and right. But this time, sleep was just doing nothing for you.
On the night of the New Moon, you stayed up on purpose. If Azul didn’t show up, you had a strange dream, and if he did, you had words. Many, awful words.
But, when your clock had just struck three, there was a gentle knock on your window. You got up, unlatched the window and pursed your lips as you saw Azul. He was as handsome as ever, smiling at you with wonderful kindness. He easily pulled himself through your window.
“You’ve been able to sleep, I see. Are you enjoying it?” Azul asked. You immediately huffed.
“I can sleep, but I’m still tired all the time. It’s like my sleep doesn’t even matter.” You told him. Azul immediately laughed.
“Well, of course. You haven’t been dreaming, after all.” He told you as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. You blinked.
“What are you talking about?” You asked.
“I suppose that maybe you’re not the type of person to remember your dreams, then? Well, allow me to explain.” He already sat to take his place at your desk, sitting down and leaning back. And, like an obedient student, you were already sitting on the edge of your bed, ready to listen.
“It’s about the sleep cycle. In the most important step, where you are getting the most rest, you’re dreaming. It’s like a filler portion your brain puts in.” Azul tells you. You felt yourself getting pretty angry at that. Of course you could never trust a demon like that. They always have something to pull.
“Well, then why didn’t you give me dreams? You took away my nightmares, but you didn’t put anything there to replace it?!” You snapped. Azul tilted his head to the side as if he were a confused dog.
“You never asked. I don’t do things that people don’t ask me to do. It always seems to end up terribly.” Azul replied, as if it were the most simple thing.
“Well, now this has turned out terribly too.” You huffed. Azul sighed.
“Well, that’s the reason I take payment afterwards. After all, I can’t take payment from an unhappy customer, can I?” Azul said, standing up. He took your hand and gently pulled you up, using his free gloved hand to run along your cheek. Azul, despite everything, truly was beautiful. Perhaps that was the danger of him, or of demons in general. They were too beautiful. It was as though the tricks that they play weren’t out of malice, but out of pure foolishness on both ends. Foolishness to not assume and foolishness to believe a demon would ever not twist his words.
“How about I make you some dreams then? I’ll make you the most lovely dreams. Sweet stories and savory fantasies. Would you like such a thing? You’ll be able to dream to your heart’s content.” He told you. You should know better than to say yes to such a thing. And yet, you couldn’t help but ask.
“And… And the payment will be the same?” You asked, hoping that he would tell you that it would be awful this time, that he would scare you into refusing. But Azul only smiled.
“Of course. Like I said, I’ll never take payment from an unhappy customer.” You felt his hand rub against your back as the other held your chin. When… When did you get so close to him? It was dizzying, this whole experience. You blinked up at him, nodding slowly. Azul hummed in delight.
“Then… Shall we seal this promise with a kiss?” He asked, and you couldn’t refuse. As Azul’s lips pressed against yours, you felt your eyelids get heavy once more, whatever magic Azul had activating and starting to lull you to sleep. It was a chaste kiss, but long. It was as if Azul was savoring it, only pulling away when he was satisfied. He easily pulled you up into his arms and placed you on the bed, turning his back to you as he moved back to the window.
“Then, I’ll return on the full moon. I hope to hear about how happy you are then.” He turned to you, looking at your sleepy face once more before smiling.
“Sweet dreams, (Y/n).”
And you did have sweet dreams. That night, you dreamed of such wonders. Of houses made of sweets, of a prince to sweep you off your feet with silver glasses and a mole on his chin. It was all so wonderful that when you woke up, you wanted to go right back to sleep. You saw your open window and smiled. Finally, things would get better. About time.
And they did get better. For you, at least. Maybe not for the people around you. Because, as you slept more, the more you wanted to sleep. All you wanted to do anymore was sleep, sleep, sleep. You were rested when you were awake, sure, but your dreams were so pleasant. You were so happy being asleep. You continued dreams with your prince, to dream of love and eternal bliss. It was like a paradise you could never escape from. The only anxiety that plagued you was once again, Azul.
What was it exactly that he wanted from you? Soon, he would be coming for his payment. What was it that he wanted? You tried to think of things people didn’t think about often. Maybe cheap things? Or squirrel skin? Or maybe people didn’t think about lost fingernail clippings. But any idea that came to your mind felt stupid. You just had to wait. And the waiting was the most terrible part.
But, the full moon came. Time never slows down, and it moves extra quick for those who are always sleeping. When Azul knocked on your window, you opened it gently. You didn’t want to seem afraid, but you were just unsure of what to even give. But Azul greeted you warmly, coming through your window gently. Really, now that you think about it, he looked a lot like the prince from your dreams. How strange.
“I see you’re doing very well. That makes me really happy.” Azul told you. You did your best to smile back, nodding.
“Yeah! Of course, now I sleep a bit too much, but that’s more of my own fault than yours.” You replied, trying to keep yourself light. Azul just hummed.
“That’s good. That’s another happy customer I have under my belt then.” Azul told you. Usually, now was the time he would sit down and explain how payment would work, but he simply stood there, smiling at you. You let yourself stand in the silence as it grew awkward, before Azul finally spoke up.
“Well, as for payment… I’m sure you’re already aware, right?” He asked you. You shook your head slowly, trying to figure out what he meant.
“Actually, no. But if you tell me what it is, I’ll get it for you right away, I promise!” You told him. Azul chuckled a bit.
“Ah, but you already have it right here.” Azul told you, pulling you into his embrace. It was tighter, more possessive than you expected it to be. “After all, it’s quite hard to lose your eternal soul, at least for a human.” You went pale, starting to squirm to try and get away from Azul, but his grip was iron tight.
“W-What?! Why didn’t you tell me?! You said it would be something I don’t think about?!” You told him. Azul only laughed.
“Humans don’t think about their eternal souls often, I don’t think. If they did, they wouldn’t do foolish things so often.” Azul replied, touching your cheek gently. “As for not telling you… You never really pressed me on the matter, so I thought it was okay.” He replied. You felt your blood run cold as you turned your head away from Azul, starting to cry. He tutted you gently.
“Oh, why are you giving me such a sad expression? This is reality here. After all, you were only dreaming anyway. What’s the point in dreams if you don’t ever try to put them into action?” he told you. You weren’t listening. You only continued to cry, to cry for yourself. You can never trust a demon, no matter how beautiful they are. And you were learning that far too late.
Azul sighed as he lifted you up, placing you onto your bed. You tried to curl up, but Azul easily climbed on top of you, entwining his hands with yours and letting his nose brush up against yours.
“Don’t worry, darling. It’s not so bad to be with me. Just let yourself fall into one more dream that I’ve made for us.” Azul told you, leaning to let his lips brush gently against yours in a not quite kiss.
“Now. Fulfill your end of the bargain.” And you had no hope of saying no as Azul descended upon you in another kiss. It was rougher this time, with teeth and tongue, but it didn’t matter. All you truly felt was despair as you felt your eyes droop. You felt a sharp pain and the taste of blood as you started to fall asleep, looking up to see Azul pull away from you. The last thing you saw was a satisfied smile on Azul’s face, with blood staining his teeth.
…
Hey, have you heard? It’s about that person who fell into eternal sleep.
They say that if you go out on the full moon when the clock strikes three, you might be able to see them on the arm of a handsome man. Of course, that’s ridiculous, right? Only a fool would believe such stories. After all, at that late, everyone must be dreaming. But the man always looks so happy as he walks with them, don’t they?
They say at that time, the person sleeping starts to cry.

Hi! May I request a one shot with Azul waking up in the middle of the night from a nightmare and going into his fem!s/o's room to ask if he can stay with her for the night when he can't fall back asleep? And she just holds him and tells him he's safe and everything's alright? Thank you!
This one is kinda short and stuff but I hope you still enjoy it. I’m hoping to get back into my writing groove soon so I might type up a personal story or two just to get me going before I answer the rest of my requests.
Shaking, Azul sat up in his bed and gripped the covers tightly. Images flashed through his mind as he recalled the dream that had pushed him out of sleep. He sighed and ran a hand down his face. God he really hated having nightmares. Especially when he woke up alone and cold with no one to help him through them.
He recalled you asking him about these nightmares and reassuring him that it was alright if he wanted to come to you after having one. Internally he debated whether he wanted to go to you for this or not. It was likely that you were asleep and your body wouldn’t appreciate being disturbed. Then again you wouldn’t be happy with him if he consciously decided not to go to you for help simply because he didn’t want to wake you.
Mind made up, Azul pushed himself out of bed and threw on a coat and some shoes. He quietly made his way through the dorm and out into the underwater atmosphere of the Octavinelle dorm. His mind continued to wander and supply him with images of the nightmare. This only served to agitate him further and regret his decision to leave his room. He missed the octopus pot he hid in back home when he had nightmares. But the pot wasn’t warm and couldn’t hold him the way you did.
As Azul approached the haunted house that served as your new home in Twisted Wonderland he wondered if this was a bad idea after all. If the ghosts decided to jumpscare him he might just scream and wake you and Grim up completely. Despite his fears, Azul pushed open the door to the haunted dorm, flinching when it creaked noisily. His trip up the stairs wasn’t much quieter as every step groaned loudly underneath his weight.
When he reached the top of the staircase he paused and looked around to try and catch any undead foes before they floated out to frighten him. Luckily he found himself to be alone and unbothered. He breathed out a sigh of relief.
Your room wasn’t a long ways away so he was glad to find it so near. The door creaked when it opened and he froze, hearing Grim mumble in his sleep. Sighing, Azul quietly tiptoed across the room and quickly slid into bed with you. Your warmth and scent calmed him almost immediately, but the sound of your steady breathing gave him the most reassurance. Impulsively he wraps his arms around you and squeezes slightly. You groan and shift. Azul looks up in panic and catches your eyes blinking open. Your bro drew tight and you mumbled his name sleepily.
“Azul? What are you doing here?” Azul bit his lip and tried to think of an excuse. Suddenly waking you seemed like a bad idea. “Did you have a bad dream?” He tensed for a moment before looking down at the pillow. It was all you needed to know and you pulled him closer. “It’s alright baby. Everything is gonna be alright. You’re safe here. I won’t let anyone hurt you. It’s safe. I love you.” A repetitive mantra flowed from your lips easily as you stroked his hair gently. He sighed and nuzzled into you more. “I love you too.” A sleepy mumble left his lips as he drifted back into sleep again. This time content knowing that nightmares couldn’t bother him while he was safe in your arms.

Freefall
Ship: Jamil/Yuu, female MC
Words: 1,502
Fic under the cut
“Hmm? You wanna try riding a broomstick?” Kalim asked light-heartedly. “Jamil’s one of the best in class, maybe you should ask him instead! Hey Jamil!”
Well, all it took was one off-hand remark about wishing to be able to fly like the others on a broomstick and Kalim was already off, dragging a confused Jamil to where Yuu stood in her gym “uniform”- a simple sweatshirt and sweatpants combo. Yuu’s gym sessions consisted of running laps around the grounds and wistfully looking at the students flying. And teasing the Octatrio.
Now Jamil’s in front of her, eyes carefully assessing...what? He is looking at her but she can’t tell what he’s thinking. With a sigh that hopefully wasn’t out of exasperation, Jamil got his broomstick floating and hopped on, sitting more towards the tail-end of it. He looked enquiringly at Yuu-
“Aren’t you getting on?” he asked simply, pointing down in front of him.
Oh. Oh. Yuu’ll be sitting in front of Jamil. The thought made her heart skip a beat. Not wanting to keep him waiting, she shoved aside any budding ideas and tentatively sat in the indicated space, gripping the broom tightly.
Immediately Jamil scooted forward, his chest enveloping Yuu’s smaller back and placed his hands right over hers. “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle” he whispered into her ear.
Yuu felt like this was some kind of cruel dream. There’s no way he chose those words to speak, right? This must be some kind of fantasy her mind conjured up in a last-ditch effort to stay awake in Trein’s class. Thinking about Jamil does make her stay VERY awake.
However the moment the broom started to fly, Yuu felt her stomach drop at the sudden increase in altitude, jolting her back to the present. “Sorry, was that too fast? Let me know if I should take it slow.” Jamil’s silky voice once again serenaded her ear. “A-a little slower please? I am not used to this.” Jamil chuckled as a response. At this point Yuu was hyper-aware of the proximity of his face to hers, his chest to her back and his arms enclosing hers and his legs- oh- his legs were flush against hers, his sneakered feet tucked under hers and holding them up. Feeling the shared heat of their intertwined legs almost made Yuu gasp out loud. Forcing her eyes shut, she tried to rewire her thoughts to their alchemy homework and just focus on the sensation of the wind whipping through her hair instead of-
“Hey are you alright? Should I stop? Do you wanna get down?” Jamil’s hushed voice sounded genuinely concerned.
“Sorry! Sorry, I just got a little overwhelmed.”
“Does this make you feel better?” Yuu felt Jamil’s arm snake around her waist, holding her even closer to his body.
“Yes. Much better” she managed to squeak out, as her face and body seemed to be aflame.
The rest of the flight was fairly uneventful. Yuu felt comfortable with the gentle pressure of Jamil’s body and turned her head a little to catch a glimpse of his face. He had his usual stoic face on but Yuu thought she might have caught a bit of red there. Soon, Jamil made quips about each student they passed over causing Yuu to giggle over his deadpan delivery of said jabs. They flew at a leisurely pace, mostly quiet save for a few Oohs from Yuu’s side when she had a new view of something she saw everyday.
Little did she know, every word and sound she let out made the boy behind her blush and feel incredibly proud to be the only one to witness it and (indirectly) be the reason for her reactions.
***
Jamil did not know why and how he was suddenly seated behind Yuu, if you gave someone a lift on the broomstick, they were the one who sat behind. But here he is, body lined up closely against her. As if his body moved on instinct without his brain directing it and only now waking up to the fact that they were in extremely close physical contact. Jamil wondered if he was being inappropriate for a moment before he felt Yuu sigh and lean into him more and glance back at him, with a shy smile. Jamil felt like his heart would burst out of his chest any moment. Looking for a way to calm his mind, he spotted Azul down below and immediately came up with a snarky comment. That made her laugh and Jamil’s heart soared once more. They fell into a comfortable banter, Jamil hanging on to every word she said.
He found it easy to talk to her, especially after the whole Overblot debacle. And he caught himself wishing to talk more and more to her and make her smile, laugh, just react to his words in general (positively of course). He staunchly refused to ponder over his desire for her attention and simply dismissed his tumultuous feelings and convinced himself he cared for her as a friend and all his feelings were platonic. Nevermind the fact that he has NEVER taken anyone for a ride on his broomstick, not even Kalim. And yet…
Kalim MUST have known this would happen. No wonder he asked him to help Yuu despite being a competent flier himself. Jamil felt a twinge of annoyance. But it was quickly quelled as he heard Yuu say his name. Deciding to deal with these troublesome thoughts later, Jamil fell back into conversation, keeping his voice neutral with practiced ease even if his heart was thumping frantically in excitement.
The day was sunny and breezy and they were flying for well over 20 minutes. They had already crossed the grounds a few times. Jamil sighed. They should probably land. His body was getting a little stiff from not moving much from this position. And it was Yuu’s first time flying.
“I think we should descend soon…” he said, reluctantly.
“Oh. Hmm..” Yuu said. “A little more? Please?” To emphasize her point, she leaned back into Jamil and looked at him again. ‘Unfair!’ Jamil thought. ‘There’s no way I’d say no now.’ he sighed, but smiled at her.
***
“Hey Jamil, why don’t we go a bit faster? Can you do a roll? Wait, is it possible to do it with 2 people?”
The prospect of their ride coming to an end made Yuu curious about all the things she wanted to try.
“It could be done…”
“PLEASE CAN WE DO IT THEN?”
“...
Alright, please hold on tight. Do let me know if I should stop.”
Saying so, Jamil tightened his grip on Yuu and leaned further in, almost pinning her to the broom. With his other hand, he gently tugged hers and repositioned them closer to their bodies and once again placed his over hers, his thumb idly stroking her skin. The gesture was barely noticed by Yuu because immediately then Jamil maneuvered the broom to tilt sharply sideways and quickly roll once, twice and then after a moment’s pause, speed up. With a tug of his hand the broom flew upwards, performing a loop and then slowly decelerated before hovering to a stop.
Yuu felt the rush of adrenaline coursing through her, her hair was all over the place but she could only breathlessly laugh as Jamil hummed casually against her.
“That was so fucking amazing!! Ahh thank you Jamil for obliging me.”
Below them, Kalim whooped while Jack asked (yelled) if Yuu’s okay. Yuu yelled back she is, causing Jamil to pull his face back a little involuntarily as her voice was too loud.
“Ahh sorry sorry. I am done yelling, you can come back now.” Yuu said lightly before realizing what she meant. She felt herself blush and thankfully Jamil didn’t comment, quietly leaning back in, his lips close to her ear once again. She could hear his steady breathing if she concentrated (not like she was actively trying to!!).
“Yuu…” he spoke, his words barely a whisper. Yuu could have sworn his lips made contact with her skin. He seemed to drawl out her name and it gave her butterflies.
“J-Jamil?” she asked back, her spirits dampened slightly, knowing full well what he wanted to say.
He sighed, the action causing all sorts of feelings to bloom inside Yuu.
“We should get off. I am sorry, it’s getting a little late. BUT- we can maybe do this again later-”
“Definitely!!!”
Jamil smiled. Yuu felt like her heart would burst out of happiness.
As they got off, Yuu immediately felt her back go cold, missing Jamil’s warmth. As their friends jogged towards them, Jamil ducked close and said in a low voice- “Went a little hard at the end because you asked for it. I hope you can walk straight until our next ride.” then proceeded to saunter off towards Kalim, broom in hand.
Yuu felt her knees grow weak and it was hard to answer if it was because of the flying or Jamil.

It’s Time We Go Home (Ft. Grim, Ace and Deuce)
I saw this picture, (not my artwork, I literally cannot draw a circle :) ) and I had a scenario going on in my head. So, I took a break from writing requests to write this instead.
Slight warning, this won’t be your normal chaotic scenario. It’s just something that I had in my mind and I wrote everything down.
I hope you would enjoy reading this and have a lovely day!
“I’ve finally found a way for you to get back home!!”
Those words rang in your head for 2 days now. Your friends would often find you staring into nothingness while you remembered what the principal had said to you 2 days earlier. When they asked you about it you would simply reply nothing and walked away.
But you thought to yourself, you’ve finally found a way home!
But…
What was home?
You honestly can’t remember.
You parents? Nope, you can’t remember what they looked and acted like.
Your siblings? Did you have any to begin with? You couldn’t remember either.
Do you want to go back? Truth be told, you didn’t know.
Because to you, Night Raven College was already home. You felt like you were supposed to be here. And after months of spending time with your friends and seniors, they treated you like their own.
And you did too.
So, why is it so hard for you to choose between going back to your original reality instead staying in this one?
Maybe it’s because of all the times you stopped Grim and Ace’s fights in the cafeteria.
Maybe it’s because of all the times you tried to get your friends to work together instead of butting heads.
Maybe it’s because of all the times you helped a dorm leader overcome his overblotting alongside your friends.
Maybe,
It’s because of all the times,
You had genuinely smiled with and to your friends.
However, your mind was telling you to go home. It was telling you that you didn’t belong here. This was a mistake. You shouldn’t be here in the first place. You can’t use magic, you’re not normal.
Go. Home.
You had to make a decision. So there you were, staring at the moon, deep in thought.
To stay? Or to leave? That was the question and the decision.
You looked back at Grim, sleeping peacefully in your lap. Your mind, tainted with words that told you to go back.
And after a few minutes, you listened to your mind. Why?
Because to you, it felt as if it was the right thing to do.
With that, you’ve made your choice.
You set Grim back down onto the bed, gave him a kiss on his forehead and muttered a goodbye.
You didn’t even bother to pack your clothes because those weren’t yours. Nothing was. Nothing except the ghost camera and that was the only thing you took with you.
“As a momento.” You said to yourself and left your beloved Ramshackle Dorm.
You headed straight to the principal’s office. Not saying a word to anybody, not your friends, not your seniors and not to the dorm leaders. You knew that they wouldn’t let you go through with this and you didn’t want them to know because it would break the bond you had with them.
You… You couldn’t bear to see the looks on their faces if you told them. You knew it would be too hurtful to you.
So there you were, standing in front of the headmaster’s office. With a gentle knock, you went in.
“Pardon me for intruding.” You said to the man at the desk. He looked up from his papers to see you standing in front of him.
“Ah, (Y/N), good to see you. So, have you made your decision?” The masked man asked you and you nodded.
“Very well, have you told anyone about your departure?” He asked again and you shook your head no.
“Alright, if that is your wish to do so, I will not force you to do anything you do not want to do.” The principal said and readied his pen. “Are you ready to go?”
You sighed and closed your eyes for a moment, mentally saying goodbye to Grim and everyone. After doing so, you nodded to the principal. He let out a small smile and his magical pen glowed bright and you were blinded by the light.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has been a week since you arrived home.
7 days of tiredness.
7 days of favoritism.
7 days of entitledness.
You couldn’t take it anymore.
Your parents only saw you as a maid. Sure, they were happy when you first came home. But after 5 minutes of hugging and crying, they had asked you to cook for them. All because you mentioned you learned how to cook. Courtesy to Trey and Jamil for giving you advice on making wonderful and tasty dishes.
You obliged to your parents, because, what child would disobey their parents, right? So you cooked for them.
For 7 whole days straight.
You also cleaned and did their laundry. You would be asked to do every single chore in the house while your parents just sat there, drinking wine and ordering you around with disgusting smirks plastered on their faces.
Yet, you still obliged.
Your siblings were no better. They would often mess up the house, forcing you to do more work. They would also get in your way while doing the chores so that you wouldn’t get to finish in time and resulting you in getting scolded by your parents.
However, on the third day, you accidentally hurt your sibling while you were mopping the floor.
Technically, it wasn’t your fault, but the parents thought you had hurt your sibling intentionally. They gave you an earfull on how you were selfish and jealous of your sibling and you were at fault for hurting them. They also said that you made the floor wet intentionally just so you could watch your sibling slip and fall and hurt himself.
When in reality, what really happened was you were recently done mopping the floor, the floor wasn’t entirely dried when your sibling decided it was a great idea to run across your small apartment home. Everything had happened so fast, one second your sibling was running and the next was your sibling crying out loud for your parents and putting the blame on you.
Yet, you still obliged to them and you apologized.
After you had cooked dinner for them, you excused yourself back to your room. You locked the door and sat down on the bed.
A few beads of tears had escaped your eyes.
Wiping them away, you looked at the ghost camera you had brought back with you.
You remembered all your memories at Night Raven College.
You remembered your friends, Grim, Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jack and Sebek.
You remembered your seniors, Trey, Cater, Ruggie, Jade, Floyd, Jamil, Rook, Silver, Lilia.
You remembered the dorm leaders, Riddle, Leona, Azul, Kalim, Vil, Idia, Malleus.
You even remembered little Ortho, little Cheka and Che’nya.
Tears filled your eyes again as you hugged the camera, wishing to go back to them, wishing that you had not left in the first place, wishing that you could get a second chance to go back and stay there instead. You cried silently, not wanting your family to hear you.
But then, you heard something. It almost sounded like someone was knocking on the glass door in your room that led to a small balcony.
You opened your eyes and looked at the glass door. You froze.
There, were 2 hooded figures outside on your balcony. Two broomsticks can be found leaning on the balcony wall. One of them was knocking gently on the door.
“Hey, you, could you come out a sec?” The knocking figure asked. You stood up and slowly went to the door. You opened it, stepped outside and closed it behind you.
You took a closer look as the two hooded figures took off their hoods to reveal themselves. As they did, you couldn’t believe your eyes!
It was Ace and Deuce!
What’re they doing here?
“Yo, (Y/N), it’s been awhile huh?” Ace asked you, wearing his smirk. Grim emerged from Ace’s behind and ran to you, hugging you. You welcomed him with open arms and enclosed him in them. You could already see tears forming in his eyes.
“Stupid, stupid human! Why didn’t you say anything?! You got me worried sick yanno?!” Grim said as he cried into your arms.
“Why didn’t you tell us that headmaster had found a way home for you?” Deuce asked you. You sighed and told him that you didn’t want them to know and to worry about you. You apologized for it too.
“Well, looks like you’ve been crying, are you okay?” Ace asked as he and Deuce had seen you cry a moment ago. Grim also looked up to see your wet eyes. You looked at the three of them and began to let your tears fall out again.
You told them how your ‘family’ treated you, how entitled they were and how you knew you were wrong to leave Night Raven College. You also told them how you wished you could go back.
When Ace and Deuce heard this, they comforted you. Although to be honest, internally, they felt like they needed to teach your ‘family’ a lesson.
But then, Ace spoke up.
“Wow, I never knew our mission would be completed so easily.”
You were confused. Mission? What mission? You asked your friends and Deuce explained to you.
“A few days ago, Headmaster told everyone that you had gone home. Everyone back at school misses you, especially us. So, we volunteered to try to talk you to coming back.” Your eyes widen at his words.
Everyone, missed you?
The one that was ridiculed at the entrance ceremony when the mirror of darkness couldn’t seat you in a dorm?
The one human that couldn’t use magic in a prestigious magic school?
The one human who was living in the Ramshackle Dorm with a creature?
You couldn’t help but smile while more tears flowed out of your eyes. Ace and Deuce then got on their brooms, Grim getting on Deuce’s broom and Ace was extending out a hand to you.
“Well? What’re you waiting for? Everyone’s waiting for you back at Ramshackle Dorm.” Ace said to you.
“It’s time we go home.”
That’s right, home.
Your ‘home’ was never really home. In fact, Night Raven College was. Your mind may have told you that the apartment you’re in was home, but your heart has and always will tell you that Night Raven College was where you belonged.
It was where you would consider home. And it was time to return to it. You couldn’t wait to see your true family.
You took a small glance back at the family who were enjoying themselves without you. You shook your head and looked ahead at the family who actually did and will always enjoy themselves with you. You smiled and took Ace’s hand, the ghost camera in your other hand. You got on his broom and the four of you flew off from your balcony and into the night sky.
Yeah, you were finally going home, and you will never leave it ever again.
CHAPTER 1 | CHAPTER 2 | CHAPTER 3 | CHAPTER 4 | CHAPTER 5 | CHAPTER 6 | CHAPTER 7
Leona Kingscholar tried to avoid the prefect. After the blazer episode, it made it more difficult for him to think straight, especially when it involved her or anyone in her circle.
He made sure not to encounter any of the annoying first years, and he desperately didn’t need anyone’s nagging.
For the first time in a long time, Leona attended classes with a half-assed sort of purpose, without fail— at least he tried— several days in a row.
And, with Winter Holidays rushing in, he made sure to let his family know he’ll be there for the holidays.
For the first time in a long time he didn’t dread going back home.
Ruggie was suspicious, of course. And even though he knew it could backfire, he proceeded with Curry Night plans even without the Dorm Leader’s approval.
Not yet anyway , he thought.
Asami felt like the more she ran into the Savanaclaw Dorm leader, the more trouble she caused, and the more he disliked her.
So on the days after their library mishap, she tried her best not to go around the area where third-year students frequented.
She didn’t want to avoid Leona—in fact, she wanted to see him and thank him for all his help until now.
But she tried her best to stop herself. If there’s something she was proud of, it was her self-restraint and patience.
She’d suck the cold air through her teeth, breathe in, and let it go.
I can’t be selfish now , she thought.
She became increasingly aware that, maybe her attempts to make him lunchboxes again—masked as a way of thanks— could be a way for her to impress him, and eventually win his heart. Asami chuckled at the thought of how silly that would be. And how she should wake up from her daydreams of him.
Daydreams of hoping she can get close. She didn’t like this side of her.
Bending over for others, but ultimately, knowing that it is for her self satisfaction.
She didn’t want to think about it, but she knew, deep down, she wanted something in return.
What exactly she wanted from Leona Kingscholar, she did not dare say.
She did not dare think, either. She wanted to believe she didn’t want anything from him.
She just really wanted him to know that he was special, at least to her.
And at the very least, she wanted him to feel that, whatever she’s capable of doing to make him feel that way, she was willing to do.
Asami’s schedule left no free time to seek Leona out.
Maybe it’s better that her schedule is so overloaded until it was time for him to graduate, then she can move on, and then, when they meet somewhere in the distant future, she can just tell him everything and they can both laugh about it. Maybe .
However, things, secrets, and feelings you try to bury, almost always find their way back to the surface.
Whether Asami liked it or not, she was becoming increasingly aware of her feelings towards the Dorm Leader.
Now, it was just up to her, her sanity and self-control if she was going to keep it buried.
On the days when she’s not working in Mostro Lounge, Asami made sure her hands were always occupied.
Many after-school activities in Night Raven required magic skills and or flying skills.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have magic in her system to participate in those, let alone try.
Grim would hang around Ace or Deuce and Jack, and she was happy to find a club that could accommodate her and she enjoyed something other than being holed up in the dark corners of the library.
Asami was an only child, so being around Trey and Jamil made her feel like she had older brothers. The three of them enjoyed cooking, and once Trey found out that she too had a knack for whipping up exquisite dishes, he formed a mini club for the three of them. Jamil was happy to oblige. He enjoyed cooking and teaching. He enjoyed sharing cooking methods, spices, and flavours native to the Land of Hot Sands. Asami felt like she had a place where she belonged. The mini club was a place where she could be, somewhat, true to herself. Being around her fellow first years felt like she’d been placed to be their caretaker, so being around her upperclassmen felt different and alleviated some of her stress.
Asami wasn’t one to make sweets and cakes - no. She’s more of a savoury home cook. So she enjoyed being around Trey and Jamil. She was happy to learn every time they spent afternoons cooking a new dish. Ace, Deuce, and Grim were the usual test subject for their new recipes. And when available, Jack and Epel were there to try some too.
Deuce felt relieved to see the prefect befriend more people around her.
He enjoyed watching her spend time with Jack and Epel, and he was always happy to let Grim stay over whenever she needed some time alone.
But Deuce could see it, how she would often look out the window during class.
How she’d sometimes take a detour to see if the Magift Club was practicing.
She’d avoid the botanical gardens’ Temperate Zone, but she’ll still walk outside, maybe, secretly hoping she’d run into him.
She barely spoke of Kingscholar.
Ace didn’t mind and don't seem to notice, but he did.
Sometimes, he’d ask Jack what he thought of the situation, and they’ve come to an agreement that yes, the prefect is avoiding Leona.
But really, it felt like self-inflicted torture when they watch her sigh and frown and anticipate only to be let down.
“So you noticed it too, huh, Jack?” Deuce asked out of the blue whilst tying the laces of his shoe.
One knee popped up on the bleachers. Jack sat beside him with a towel on his head.
A short break after ten laps around the field. Jack’s tail flopped down and propped back up when he heard Deuce’s question.
It’s not quite visible, but his ears twitched under the towel. His thighs supported his arms as he leaned over.
“It’s quite obvious, I think,” Jack’s voice was quiet. He kept thinking of ways to answer the next questions that might come without letting Deuce know that maybe, just maybe, he was a little bit too interested in the prefect. He tried his best not to make it seem obvious, really he did. But even though Deuce isn’t the best in academics, he’s good at noticing the little things, especially when it came to his friends.
“You’re quite obvious too, Jack,” Deuce chuckled, securing the last knot and then sitting down next to Jack to cool down.
Jack was caught off-guard, of course. He didn’t think anyone noticed.
His mouth opened, readying a protest but stopped and sighed.
Thankful that the towel on his head hid the blush on his face but he was too embarrassed to notice that his tail gave it all away.
Deuce chuckled at the sight of Jack’s fluffy tail wagging in delight and anticipation. No name was mentioned, but they both had the same person’s face in mind.
“You’ve been working so hard,” Jade’s voice was always mellow in her ears. She always thought that even if he was reading a receipt, it would be enough to keep her head calm and send her to sleep in no time. She’d look up to him, lips curved up into a gentle smile, happy to hear his praise. Jade’s skillful gloved hands carefully setting some copper canisters and boxes of tea leaves before the two of them. His eyes were focused on the task at hand, long lashes casting shadows that seemed to enhance the mischievous shine of his mismatched ochre and rust eyes. “Azul mentioned you can have the week before Winter Holidays off, too.” his tone was low, sturdy, and smooth. The words rolling off his lips sounded like a quiet distant record playing in the background, Asami didn’t intend to but her focus shifted from the canister labels to his lips.
He was looking at her now, and their eyes met. He smiled even more as his gaze held hers. He was aware of this, and she didn’t know whether it was appropriate or whether she should look away. She could feel her cheeks warming up. Jade then shifted his gaze back to his hands. Careful with the intention not to embarrass the prefect, but sure to tease just a little bit to coax her attention back to the lounge. She would drift far away, and Jade would not know where her mind would swim off to. But he became better and better at directing her focus back into reality, back into the tea they were blending, back to him.
Maybe his hypnotic and sensuous way of speaking and moving came hand-in-hand with his unique magic. But he wasn’t one to use that power on her— not now, at least. He was curious, though. Who her special person was. It was painfully obvious. The sighs, and anticipation as she welcomed new patrons, the slump on her shoulders when she seemed to not find who she was looking for. How her eyes hovered around when it was Savanaclaw students that entered the lounge. That alone was his clue, and he could definitely work his way to that sensitive info without trying or even using magic.
He knew, whoever this person was, she would give it all away, at the sight of them. And his skin itched with trepidation.
“A week,” she stopped her hands and Jade could’ve sworn they looked like heavy boulders trying to plant themselves onto the floor right there and then. His own hands stopped moving with the sudden weight of this supposedly-pleasant surprise. Surely, she’d been thinking of a day off, or when she could free herself from the shackles that were work, work, and work. Jade could’ve sworn he heard her swallow. And he feared that his plans of giving her some free time might not be the best for their little human. His mind raced to find an alternative, a solution — something. Something to perk her spirits back up.
She didn’t finish her sentence, instead, she looked up to him and gave him a gentle smile. A hint of force and worry slightly furrowed at her brows, but she tried her best to smile, the best she could and she thanked him. With that small voice, she always used around others. Jade leaned in and placed a light hand on her shoulder. “You are still welcome here, of course,” He stayed there and lingered a bit, catching a glimpse of the tips of her ear now with a slight hue of pink. He was incredibly close, but not closer than how Floyd would usually be around her.
Asami didn’t mind Floyd’s hugs and playful embraces. But when it came to Jade, something stern and sure would always trap them together when they are in close proximity. And she would feel it in her skin and she would blush.
“We don’t go home until the spring until the glaciers have melted down,” his hand brushed from her shoulders to the back of her head, a slight tug towards him. His hands gave comfort to the touch-starved Asami and her shoulders pulled themselves in instinctively. She felt comfortable around the twins enough for moments like these. Somehow, being this close gave Jade the permission he was seeking to touch her, trying his best to be as casual as possible and hiding every bit of curiosity and intention he had under his sleeves.
Asami looked up at him, searching and yearning but she didn’t allow herself to be spoiled by Jade Leech. She was— at least to some extent — still afraid of him and the meaning behind his polite speech and smiles. Though she’d favour him among the Octavinelle trio any day, a hint of fear kept her distant. She gave him a meek smile and a nod, and he understood that she was okay with it and she’ll be there. Their little human didn’t say much unless it was something urgent or important or when needed to be polite. Jade quite liked that, but he too was the listening, observing type. So he’d expected the opposite from her, to say the least. He grew to expect more and more things from Asami as they spent more after-school days together.
And, he would write them all down, neatly into a fresh, pristine piece of paper and he would fold that paper and tuck it away into his breast pocket.
Like a charm to ward off unwanted guests. Like a prayer to the sea witch— a wish. A secret wish he’d allow himself the pleasure. Just this once, maybe he can have something for himself. Something like a little human companion. Maybe — her. Maybe .
══════ ∘◦❁◦∘ ══════
Jade, however, was close to making an assumption. It might be, the first year— his name, Jack Howl. The white wolf.
He might be the special person, Jade thought.
He would, sometimes be waiting outside the lounge just as Asami’s shift ends. And they would happily walk towards the mirror together. No physical contact or whatsoever, so Jade assumed it might be somewhat of a one-sided love. Or a crush. He wasn’t certain of anything, but starting from Savanaclaw gave him a good narrow-down.
Whenever she would finish her shift and just after she changed from her silk suits and fedora, she’d pop her head back into the lounge to give the twins, and everyone working a wave and a bow of thanks. She did that, and Jade found it incredibly cute, though he could never allow himself to utter those words, especially around Floyd or Azul, but he made sure to show them, crystal-clear and evident in everything he did around her and for her.
A refreshing new blend for her to enjoy before she started her shift, and a fruit bowl after she was done. She wasn’t one for sweets and Jade quickly figured it out after serving her some scones that one time. She was polite to take them, but it took all the time to get her to finish those three plain scones whilst she downed three cups of their dark roast. Again, he was wrong to judge her— to think she’d be just like a normal girl who favoured sweets. Jade was happily surprised. Mental notes here and there. He did, however, notice her with a small box of macarons just as she was walking out of Trey Clover’s class. They had spoken about their mini club, and Asami was delighted to be a part of something other than the Lounge. Jade liked that she was having fun outside the lounge, but a twinge— just a twinge of jealousy started to bubble from the depths of his stomach at the thought of her spending more time outside their circle. Outside the wall, he so meticulously built— though unconsciously— around her.
That day, he decided to ask her. He saw the opportunity of her staying for the winter holidays as a way to be closer— closer. Just as she was about to head off, he asked if she’d wait for him to get changed, too. And if she would allow him to walk her to her dorms.
Asami gave him a fervent smile, and with a mellow voice politely declined.
“You don’t have to, Jade-san,” her cheeks slightly turning a soft pink colour, before Jade could see its full view, she was able to lower her head to hide them. And he almost let out a curse but cleared his throat as he straightened himself back up again.
“Please?” Jade was not one to ask twice, nor was he the type to beg for something when he knew exactly how to slither his way into obtaining it. But he had a particularly growing soft spot for her now, and he thought he didn’t want to push it, not having the white wolf wait up for her proved to be a mighty chance to exploit.
“I wouldn’t want to bother you already,” she was hesitating. Her eyes darted everywhere as she lowered her head again, but this time, Jade followed her, leaning down to meet her face, his own mismatched eyes tenderly asking for her approval. “You’re never a bother, Asami-san.”
He let his eyes blink slowly as he anticipated her response. She almost looked like she was holding her breath, and her lips slowly parted. Jade’s eyes settled on her thin lips, which looked dry and cold but all the more inviting to him. He was so very used to places like that. Dry and cold. He imagined as he breathed in, the answer he wanted out of her. And he could hear himself swallow hard and dry, waiting for her sweet and quiet voice to say yes .
With his head lowered like this, he’s noticed two things. That she had an unnoticeable beauty mark just at the base of the side of her neck, hidden away if her collar was in place.
But his sharp rust and ochre eyes gave him the ability to pick up the details around him faster than the usual predator.
His eyes, seemingly all-seeing, made Asami’s cheeks warm and her pulse beat faster. And he noticed that, too.
She had this habit of holding her breath. And then, somehow, maybe when she felt comfortable enough, she would slowly and very quietly exhale.
It was as if it was a chant of some sorts, a spell to make herself invisible in any uncomfortable situation. But she wasn’t invisible to him— no.
She was there and he was looking at her. Mismatched eyes devoting themselves to the strands of her dark hair that made her skin look like she was glowing softly like the moonlight.
On her curious carnelian eyes that made it impossible for her to hide what she was feeling or thinking, eyes that burned with intensity as strong as his curiosity. Lips that seemed, at least to Jade, desperate for a kiss. But he also wore his patience like a badge of honour. And he was one to take his time, with this— whatever this was— he dared not to label anything, no.
Not yet.
Jade took long, smooth and delicate lines made up of the bits of her in his mind, and he painted himself a picture of her, and likewise kept it hidden in his breast pocket.
A prayer, a charm, a secret, skilfully curated by white silk gloves—the little bit of pleasure he allowed himself in—and forever sealed within uncannily and mischievous lips.
He was looking at her , and his lips curved into a smile so sure, when she finally nodded with a smile.
A/N: I don't really beta or check or whatever and just write as I go and as I think of the scenes in my head. I really, just write for fun. So if you're reading this far, thank you so so so much!
My TWST boys tier would definitely be:
1 - Leona 2 - Jade / Jack 3 - Floyd / Ruggie
So I am trying to incorporate all these relationships in, I don't really know yet how I'm going to tangle these babies together but I have a pretty clear picture of the coming chapters.
I hope you look forward to it. Thank you for sticking around~
