the depth of field in japanese and korean junior women’s skaters is out of this world. most of these girlies could easily eat up some of last quad’s world champions in skating skills, interpretation and clean jump technique

#i just saw rino matsuike’s free and i’m in awe #so much flow and glide the depth of her edges the attention to detail the way that every accent in the music is utilized #figure skating as it should be to be quite honest #now only if they’d stop pushing ultra-c elements on these girls #seriously even the commentators like i promise y’all these girls don’t /need/ triple axels and quads. no one does.#especially if it comes in the detriment of the skater’s health or if it brings a decrease in the quality of their skating #stop pushing the quad narrative for the love of step sequences
