So I've decided to work on drawing A Weird Little Guy every day of at least January. If anyone has a favorite Funky Lil Dude critter, please send em my way and I'll hopefully do a little doodle of em! I have my own list but am looking for suggestions :)

This is Leonardo (Leo). He hates his full name

He is an introvert and a local flying showoff. Has terrible eyesight, glasses do not really fix his vision completely, but he uses lenses and devices to look close and far. His eyes are also sensitive to bright light. He is a half-idiot and a half-genius.

Despite the fluffy appearance, he is naturally drawn to the theme of death, undead, spirits, and everything related to that. He is a little too confident in his abilities and also stubborn, he’s an easy target of ”I bet you can’t do /x/” questions, because he will want to demonstrate that he actually can do /x/ better. Believes in practice over theory. He is terrified of huge bodies of water and drowning. He loves wearing dark clothes (not emo). He has a journal, or a few of them actually, where he notes his insane theories, ghost observations, to do’s etc..

He used to run away from home to practice flying and get lots of bruises when he was like almost a teen, and during teenage years, he is quiet proud of the skill he got due to his adventurous and dangerous self-teaching.

He also met Nicole and Michelle during the main plot events. And Emil is his childhood friend with who they studied together at the same school, and so they’ve known each other for years, and theyr dumb and supportive of each other but they have their mutual misunderstandings in need to be resolved as well (future boyfriends)

He has raven wings

I figured I draw him the most (DUH. SO MUCH.)

This is Emil :)

He is an artist with a chronic dust disease (all human bodies contain it in their system, and most of it goes into wing creation, but it can also be used with your palms for example). He becomes tired much faster than other people, his body is weaker, and he gets purplish spots as a result of exhaustion (his wings are more fragile and regenerate longer).

He has a ”good imagination”, or at least he calls it that, because his years of practice let him create dust butterflies that hang around nearby. Usually dust objects, shapes, constructions, especially if they are moving, are considered a rarity and an impressive trick. (Wings are directly attached to the big surface of the back and they are not detached from the body, everyone normally can create those, like second nature)

He likes his wings a l o t, but doesn’t really like his body. He is very skinny and tall, and even though generally he’s comfortable with drawing nude bodies, he hates showing a lot of his own skin to people; he adds layers of clothes to appear bigger

He is very sensitive and emotional, talks a lot, doesn’t like arguments. He is gentle, he will cry, and he is really expressive. Jokes a lot and sometimes not when appropriate. He’s partly drowning in philosophical questions and in finding some deeper sense of self (deep). And he has lots of well other not so positive thoughts. And ofc he’s a theatre kid. Art nerd. He likes purple. He also befriended Michelle and Nicole, even though Nicole hated him because of his behaviour for some reason at first. However, both of them share tastes in music and art, so.

He has red admiral wings

Leo used to be a frequent guest at Emil’s house when they were younger.

This is Nicole.

She is an anxious girl with facial burn scars. She’s loud, honest, and can be mean, but she also hates a lot of things about herself. She is good at noticing details and subtlety. She doesn’t trust people easily, if at all, but she is also afraid of loneliness. In the plot they do some plot stuff together with Michelle (theyr roommates ohmygod they were roommates). She befriended Leo and Emil later, even though Emil annoyed her immensely being a stranger she just met. She likes yellow :)

She absolutely loooves animals big and small, and she will always care for a traumatized creature in trouble even if it’s seen as nature’s mistake or ugliest thing ever.

She has the wings of a military macaw

Can’t tell much more about her because I feel like those are spoilers AND she is getting a big character remake in the plot department

This is Michelle!,

She’s calm and emotionless at first glance, has a face that looks like her mind is always thinking or anywhere but here. She has low self-worth and not great relationships with her mother. She is interested in magical potions, alchemical stuff, and questionable inventions. She’s always more interested in how something works and how to get intriguing results, rather than legality or obeying rules.

Obviously she feels emotions and lots of them, but she doesn’t let herself open up.

She also has only one big albatross wing. The build of her back makes one of her shoulders lower than the other (right shoulder lower)

Also that grey art has her newest face proportions, which I couldn’t quiet capture before, but now this is final :)

This is Ivor! (Old reference) (I got tired and didn’t draw him a new one)

He’s THE gossiper, who loves scandals and dramas. He plays a bandura (a ukrainian string instrument)(fyi he holds it in unorthodox angles [due to his deafness] and he definitely did not learn to play it at a school) and with it composes rumors or stories obviously inspired by something that has happened in real life. He says that the more people he knows the more interesting songs he can create. Loves being the narrator and shining in the crowd. He can actually sing well. He is also deaf in one ear

He has the wings of a european goldfinch

He is more of a secondary character though

This is Séaghdha (from my extensive research, it is close to "Shay" pronounciation, even tho that one could be an independent name by itself)

ACTUALLY I have recoloured him to have brown hair. So if you see this guy randomly having green hair 1. It could be my old concept 2. Maybe it's a new concept but I found a way to utilize it in canon 3. Tbh he would dye his hair but I settled on brown and green was really hard to separate from his character concept

He vibes as a technical guy, but he’s actually really artsy, and crafts decor, and stained glass thingies.

He’s a local mystery-man who was born with a completely unthreatening height and small build (he is very short), he carries a parasol and he is limping (it’s made with lace and was gifted to him). He is generally calm, tired, masks a lot of stuff with sarcasm type of guy. He’s actually farsighted. He can also walk and even run without his parasol, but he has it on him 99.9% of the time. He has silvery hairs because of the magical trauma that scarred half of his body.

He is ultra responsible and he wants to do good things, for the sake of justice, (or at least he wanted) and he regrets it

He knows Emil’s father, and Séaghdha is also close with Thia (technically in Ukrainian her name is Tsia, but in English it shortens from Forsythia; I haven’t decided on minor changes like that). Séaghdha actually kind of fell in love with Thia from the first sight, and they bonded because of music and musical instruments. Both of them are plot partners and they suffer together and they luv each other. They had an argument and they weren’t communicating for some time but they can’t live without each other

He has wings of a sharp-shinned hawk

(Left reference is the newest one) I didn’t finish her grey ref, but I am likely redrawing all of them again on a new canvas, so old refs won’t matter!

She does not have a final final design, but I am imagining her in all kinds of flowery dresses!

I also do not have a final version of her character yet and more will be added. She’s literally the only good thing in the world. She’s a kind aunty and a talented singer with a low voice. She has lots of patience, she adapts easily to changes and has a calming effect on people. Likes to have a chit chat with Ivor.

She is a pretty famous singer (both she and Ivor are local legends, but in different ways). I would say that Ivor tries to build a character for the public more, than Thia, but Thia just has it much more subtly. Ivor knows people recognize him for his performance, Thia doesn’t really have an over the top flamboyancy, so in comparison she looks like a normal person. It doesn’t feel like she even gets into the role of a performer and feels authentic. ANYWAY, JUST THOUGHTS.

I also want her to be into some cloth handmade stuff, or lace, or a different little hobby. I think to balance out the signing she would love making something with her hands

People suspect that Forsythia is not even her "real" name, how could they.

Hey! I haven’t been on tumblr for probably over a decade at this point, so this is my first post introducing myself to get back into it!

My name is Bea! I’m Canadian, 25f, Pagan, bi and used to be a full time artist (polymer clay, jewelry, painting, drawing, etc). I’ve always liked writing self insert fanfics for my own enjoyment when I can’t find a fic to scratch a particular itch, and always thought it would be fun to run an ask blog where I can take requests or post my own hcs, drabbles/oneshots, and even some art for my favourite characters!

My current 24/7 obsession is JJBA, especially Golden Wind, and specifically, Leone Abbacchio. My favourite parts are 3 and 5 and I’m currently on part 6 of the anime! Other anime’s I love are Fruits Basket, Dragon Ball, Darker than Black, Inuyasha and much more that I cannot think of atm.

I also love Buffy, The Boys, and have been enjoying Invincible and most recently The Bear! I love video games and I’m a huge Nintendo nerd - Twilight Princess is my favourite game of all time and I love LoZ and animal crossing! Also love stuff like Stardew Valley and casual horror games. Baldurs Gate 3 and DND stuff are super awesome too. As far as music goes, I’d say I’m an alt/punk rock gal but here are my favourite bands: MCR, Nirvana, Sublime, Gorillaz, One-Eyed Doll, Evanescence. I do also indulge in late 90’s/2000’s pop!

Since this is a special day for our favorite Markazian gal aka future WAIFU of Ratchet-Kun, I'd love to share headcanons for Talwyn!:

1) Born as Talwyn Elektra Apogee (T.E.A.) on October 23rd in 5339.

2) Daughter and only child of Max Apogee. (CANON)

3) She's Ratchet's girlfriend (CANON)

4) Captain of Polaris Defense Force (CANON)

5) Her mother is not in her life. Talwyn was unplanned, therefore her mother never wanted her, she hates her own daughter very much, and wants nothing to do with her. Talwyn refers to her mother as her "egg donor".

6) Talwyn's "egg donor" is currently married to another man and has a son born 9 1/2 years after his half-sister.

7) Talwyn's parents never married. Max Apogee who was 30 and Talwyn's "egg donor" who was 25 broke up when their daughter was around 2.

8) Talwyn's paternal grandmother was a quite famous figure in the Polaris galaxy. Her name was Elektra Shield who was titled as "Captain Polaris" inspired by Captain Marvel. Nobody knows that Talwyn and her father are related to Elektra Shield/Captain Polaris as her granddaughter and son. Elektra was protecting them.

9) Grandma Elektra passed away when Talwyn was 5. She was 52 years old at the time of her death.

10) Talwyn wants to become stronger for the sake of her loved ones especially the love of her life, Ratchet.

11) She's tired of not being taken seriously and being treated less as a person.

12) She does not want to be an outcast anymore.

13) She always loved Cronk and Zephyr as her 2nd and 3rd papas, and has been blaming herself for their deaths in Into the Nexus.

14) Her favorite colors are yellow and red.

15) Her favorite flower is aster.

16) She can be quite the cute nerd.

17) She's a huge otaku (fan of anime, manga, light novels and Japanese culture) and gamer.

18) During the events of A Crack in Time, All-4-One and Full Frontal Assault, Talwyn has been working out/training at a martial arts dojo called HebiGetsu (Snake Moon in Japanese) as she vows to become a fighter ready to protect her friends and family!

19) Her gym sensei is a very strong markazian woman in her early to mid 50s as of Rift Apart. Her name is Zenko Hebizuki. The one who runs HebiGetsu along with her younger brother. She is the woman whom Talwyn views as the mother she never really had......and the feeling is mutual as Zenko sees her as a daughter.

20) Talwyn is very beautiful, good-looking and attractive, and she does not see it. But others do.

21) Talwyn would often wear long sleeves and pants in her tweens to early teens, but as years go by, she becomes more confident towards her body as she starts wearing fashion that shows her skin.

22) She happens to have a lovely, slender, hot and sexy body with such curves, and is blessed with a very well-endowed bust.

23) She actually resembles her grandmother Elektra except with brown hair. She even inherited Elektra's tail. Both Tal and her dad have sky blue eyes like her grandma.

24) Despite her career as captain of PDF, Talwyn still hopes to find her father someday.

25) She is a very great and skilled cook. In fact, whenever she discovers a foreign dish, she will not hesitate, and cook it after learning it.

26) Her favorite fruit is cherries.

27) She gets annoyed and hates it whenever her buttoned shirts, tops or blouses pop-open revealing her voluptuous chest.

28) She lets Clank and now Kit sit on her lap.

29) Ever since meeting Rivet, she became protective around her. Tal is like a big sister figure towards the lombax, and would make sure if she's alright.

30) Rivet thinks Talwyn is hot, and would sometimes blush at her appearance.

31) Tal resides in a cozy, modern townhouse that has a pool in Meridian City. Ratchet and Clank both have a spare key to her place.

32) Once tried cosplaying, and is now addicted to it. She tends to cosplay in many outfits!

33) In PlayStationVerse, Talwyn has a sweet and strong unbreakable bond with two characters: Keira Hagai of Jak & Daxter and Carmelita Fox of Sly Cooper.

34) Surprisingly, Qwark is one of Talwyn's closest allies/friends that she can rely on. Plus, like her, Qwark is also an extreme cook, and the two would often cook together whenever the R&C characters have gatherings or parties.

35) Whenever she has makeup on, Talwyn is even more beautiful, like a cosmic goddess.

36) As a child, she would work herself to death to dance especially due to rumors of markazians not being good dancers. Guess what? All of that hard practice was WORTH IT! Talwyn was able to break that myth!

37) She wishes for Ratchet to open up to her more often.

38) Sometimes she feels like (and fears) that she's not good enough for Ratchet.

39) Despite being an ex of Ratchet, Sasha is one of Talwyn's dear friends.

40) She acts motherly towards children.

41) If she were to have a 3rd voice actress after Ali Hillis who took over after Tara Strong, then Tal should be voiced by voice actress, singer and Vtuber Amanda Lee aka AmaLee!

42) If she were to have a new seiyuu after Nami Kurokawa for the Japanese dub, then Tal should be voiced by VA and singer Marina Inoue.

43) Her belly button/navel is pierced.

44) She has a dark brown or black lombax head symbol tattooed on her lower back.

45) She wants to help and protect the galaxy.

46) She's always has a fondness for stars.

47) She can make a great archeologist just like her daddy.

48) She never believed in or even thought of love until she met Ratchet.

49) Talwyn has an extremely beautiful, lovely, amazing and empowering singing voice that could gracefully pierce through her listeners' hearts. She might even be a better singer than Courtney Gears. And whenever, Tal sings, her voice is provided by AmaLee who could be a perfect 3rd VA for the character.

And 50) Ratchet is her first and only love! She's really passionate about him. And Talwyn vows to become a stronger woman to protect the lombax man who has changed her life! He is her future husband and will one day be the father of her future children....

3 Speaking of forms of art, Movies! Especially animation (and anime!). I am something of a film nerd, and I went to Uni for animation. Favourite movie of all time is How to Train Your Dragon

4 Gaaaammmes. Some of my favourites are Breath of the Wild, basically any pokemon game, Twisted wonderland, Fire Emblem Three Houses and Rune Factory

5 Comics. Seriously my webtoons subscription list is waaaayyyy too big. And the amount of tabs/bookmarks I have for non-webtoon manwhas I wanna read *sweats nervously*. What can I say, I love visual storytelling.

6: something you see in art a lot and love

i think some of my favorite things are The Dark Lord's fan designs resembling a spider (which admittedly i'm also guilty of), the various hairstyles i see, and SC being short (which is canon but it's so funny to me... 🤝 we are both short)

my favorite hair designs are probably King and Purple with braids and Green with dreads :]

10: a blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter

i COULD say Mystic made my experience better simply by tolerating my nonsense but i have a feeling that's not what this ask is supposed to be about lol--

if i had to pick, karmesean probably would be my main decision! runaway au is heartbreaking and also unbearably cute and like, I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the ships since i imagine familial bonds for much of the main cast so it's very nice to have someone who creates content outside of that.

no shade to shippers i just personally can't stand shipping content sometimes considering how much shipping content gets shoved down my throat in any fandom at any given moment (<- aromantic)

honorable mention to @wtfgaylittlezooid tho for dragging me into ava and also having GREAT human designs for the hollowheads as well as good start au :]

25: how has fandom positively impacted your life?

i mean. i can't say much for ava in particular (other than it sends my animation nerd brain bark bark woof bark crazy) but in general? fandom literally saved my life. it helped me find some of my best friends ever when i was completely isolated due to mental illness when i was going through an extremely traumatic part of my life.

this isn't to say that fandom is always a healthy escape-- i was in a pretty small fandom in the time and larger fandoms have a case of being much more dangerous, and escapism can fuck up your brain pretty bad, but it's definitely changed my life for the better.

however you should probably take care to keep fandom separate from your real life, unless you don't have a real life like me 👍

all this to say like. fandom is great but practice healthy distancing, and try not to burn yourself out by doing stuff just for the attention of your peers. just have fun and chill

also either way like. disclaimer im not a professional on fandom spaces so please practice reasonable safety in fandom spaces. especially if you're a minor. i didn't and got preyed upon pretty bad in larger fandoms without realizing it so it is a genuine concern.

So, I'm really below the radar in my country where the majority of people are blond and blue-eyed and I just don't have the kind of personality that stands out, BUT when I was an exchange student in Japan I was shocked at how much attention I suddenly got. I was so used to being invisible that I didn't expect it at all. Random people followed me on the street, to take my picture or just to say something to me, someone came to scream "KONNICHIWA" inches away from my face on the train station. At school I Iiterally got the whole school prince kind of treatment. Groups of girls followed me around and jump screamed (not in the scared way) when I came behind the corner. Random shaking and blushing girls came to give me their e-mail with all of their friends giggling and cheering them on behind them. When my hair curled in the humid air people looked at me like they had never seen anything cooler. It was truly baffling because at home people forget about me to a level that I sometimes thought they were doing it on purpose (but they were not).

All this to say that it would be fucking funny to write Kuroko as an exchange student in Finland, like a reverse of my experience. (Yeah no one really knows for certain if the hair colours are symbolic or not but it would work either way.) At first I was like nah, it wouldn't work because majority of Finnish people just stare at you, they mind their own business mostly so it wouldn't be so funny. But then I remembered how many anime fan girls there were in my school, I mean they were on a different level from me, some low-key cosplayed at school, had Japanese nicknames and spent every break drawing manga in the art class, and when we had an exchange student from Japan they were fighting to be her best friend. So, I can't help but think how funny it would be to write Kuroko have the shock of his life, suddenly being super popular, having a bunch of nerds dressed like characters or in lolita dresses fighting for a chance to show him where his classes are, asking him to pose for them while they draw, begging him to say "kawaii" or any random word they're into, and shoving love letters into his locker and eventually getting into fights over him so much that he would just be like, "I want to go home O_O".

I will likely never write this because it doesn't fit my storyline in any sense but it's too funny for me to think about. Especially because Finland and Japan have this mutual adoration and quite a lot of cultural exchange, so it's an interesting parallel to muse about.

My Original Story Series called Last Pegasus! It's a fantasy magical adventure type story based off a lot of things I'm interested in over the years (give or take) and I have SOME works and art based off the story itself or putting them in silly outfits of different fandoms or something hehe... I'm really hoping this series will be my pride and joy once I figure how to get my stuff organized and whatever else is needed comic or just a story otherwise...

Next is OC-TOBER, a OC appreciation type drawing/writing prompt challenge to where the weekly prompt helps you to share your original characters based on that prompt! I already have a few (as of writing this) and there's more to come (hopefully)

Here are some things that make me happy:

- Writing! It's such a a big part of who I am I can't imagine living without it. My dream is to write books and hopefully gain a small fanbase someday. Also reading! It's almost all I do sometimes (even though a lot of it is fanfic lol). You can call me a nerd, but I even enjoy books we read in school during polish! (I'm polish, btw! so fun fact)

- Drawing and art! I love looking at pretty art others make and getting inspired to write or make my own!

-VIDEO ESSAYS!! God, I LOVE those! They can be so interesting and useful, or they can be full of useless information about a topic I had no idea EXISTED and I eat it up every time! My personal favorite channels right now are Tale Foundry and LocalScriptMan.

- Cartoons, TV shows, movies, books, comics, etc. Mostly animated stuff, but I watch live-action too sometimes. I love having characters I can analize and obsess over with other fans!
