Hiccup problems

Optimus

Optimus knew a little bit of human biology.

He learned firsthand how humans can die so easily from sickness, small wounds, or their own body turning on themselfs.

So when he met (Y/N) and became good friends with them, he wanted to make sure they stayed healthy.

(Y/N) tried their best to explain how the human body works to optimus. Even if he finds some parts of it off putting.

So when (Y/N) came to the base and drank some water and suddenly got hiccups, optimus thought they were choking.

He picked them up and used 2 digits to pat (Y/N)s back to help them.

When that dident work, and (Y/N) seemed to try to speak to him but kept getting interrupted by their hiccups, he quickly rushed them to the medbay were ratchet was.

Ratchet took them and explained to optimuz they were having hiccups and it was not fetal. It was part of the human body.

Optimus calms down but knows he needs to study more of the human body now.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee didn't know much about the human body.

He only knew so much from his time with sam.

So when he became best friend with (Y/N) he wanted to help them as much as possible.

One day, he thought it would be funny to scare (Y/N) when they come to the base.

So he waited by the gaint doors(I forgot what they are called) and he jumped out to scare (Y/N).

(Y/N) being spooked jumps as well and falls on their ass. Bumblebee stands there laughing.

(Y/N) tries to yell at be but suddenly got hiccups.

Bee stops laughing, and he sees (Y/N) hiccuping. He dident know what was wrong but the first thing that came to his mind was a heart attack.

He didn't know what a heart attack l9oked like. He was only told that he would tell if someone was having one.

So, with one quick motion, he grabs (Y/N) and runs to the medbay while saying sorry over and over through radio channels.

He might have overreacted when he reached Ratchet since he was saying (Y/N) was having a heart attack.

When ratchet explained to bee that they were not having a heart attack, they were simply having hiccups, bee calmed down, and dident want to scare (Y/N) again after that.

Mirage

Mirage met (Y/N) when he accidentally let himself be seen.

Ever since, (Y/N) has been with Mirage since they have nothing else to do.

One day, Mirage dared (Y/N) to chug a 2 litter of Pepsi without burping.

Of corse (Y/N) accepted and started. They chugged and chugged and was able to do it

Once done, (Y/N) got the hiccups and wasn't able to speak.

Mirage panicked thinking (Y/N) was dieing and started to yell at (Y/N) to ask them if they were dieing -_-

When they dident respawn, Mirage panicked even more and picked them up. Thinking there is somthing wrong, he hangs them upside down and shakes them.

When (Y/N)s hiccups went away, they yelled and Mirage to let them go!

Mirage got yelled at by (Y/N), saying you should never shake a human, especially upside down, and they were not dying!

Would

Arcee

Arcee was driving around and (Y/N) riding her (heh)

While they were driving and swerving through traffic, they almost get hit by a car that was in the wrong lane.

Arcee swerve out of the way and heard (Y/N) take a deep breath.

When they get to a save spot and able to stop, arcee noticed that (Y/N) was making a wiered noise.

She watches (Y/N) take off her helmet and was jumping while making the weird noise.

Worried, arcee asked them if they were OK. Which let (Y/N) nod their head and hold there hand out as a way to say 'one second'

Once those wierd thing disappeared, (Y/N) explains that they were having what is called a hiccup.

They explained why they have it and what caused it. Arcee was glad they were fine but still found humans....strange.

You could write with Bumblebee ROTB where he and the reader are good friends and the autobot team receives a threat that includes hurting the reader, Bee becomes alert and watches over her, that with every little thing the reader does he looks at her, or every time For the reader to turn around, Bumblebee looks away because he doesn't want her to know that he is being overprotective of her because they are both good friends.

You always looked forward to after school. It always meant that you could hang out with the Autobots. Bee, especially, is super excited for you to burst through the doors. He patiently waits for 3PM to ring. Just like that, he immediately saw you, trying so hard to stay still, he was just so happy to see his bestie after 6 cruel hours.

It had been fairly quiet back at the base of operations, with Optimus keeping an eye on any Decepticon activity, Mirage then heard Bee's engine as you entered the building.

"Sup y/n" He saluted you two from where he sat.

"Hey mirage, What's been happening ??" You said as you got out, Bee transforming back.

"Nothing much, Primes' got his optics locked in tight on some cons that have been getting cozy a little too close" He gestured so and so, You all haven't noticed any form of Decepticon activity ever since the trio crashed onto earth, But Optimus was always way too cautious.

"They do best to stay away, But we're keeping an eye on it" Optimus turned his head briefly to look down and greet you before going back to the screen... A message then popped up on the screen, a voice message, it started to play a little bit crackly before Optimus finally got it stable enough for it to be clear.

"This message is for Optimus Prime... We are aware of your team's location, and your human contact..."

You looked up at the screen when it was said about a human contact, surely it couldn't be you could it... "Who is it ??" Optimus held a hand out to you gently so he could continue listening.

"We are prepared to take action, If you do not surrender yourself. Your human is on the line..." The message ended there.

You and the Autobots looked at each other, Ok you were now fully scared. How did they know of them and you... Optimus frowned slightly, but bee was also very worried.

"How do they know ??" You looked up at them.

"Cons..." Mirage muttered.

"But they couldn't have found you guys already, whoever sent that has to be bluffing... right ??"

"So our enemies are closer than we have had anticipated... we will keep an eye on you and find our intruders, Bumblebee I want you to keep an eye out for y/n" He looked at his commrade.

"Yes sir..." The radio flicked as he made a salute gesture.

Bumblebee was not going to let any con hurt you, no matter what. But along the way you began to notice how protective he was... sometimes even to the extreme, He parked a little closer to the school doors, following you to your weekend job, Hell even when you had to go to the bathroom he got nervous !!

You knew Bee was just trying to look out for you, But you needed to have your space as well. It's also been a couple weeks since the message... But he still hasn't let up. Every time you turned around, he would always distance himself and feign what he was doing. What him ?? He wasn't looking, tapping his digits together and looking away ooh a butterfly.

"Bee I know your looking at me..." You sighed

He whirred a little and turned around a bit more, shuffling and flipping up his doors to shield the sides of his face. "No you don't..."

You frowned a little and gently walked to him, placing a hand gently on his digit. "I know you want to keep me safe buddy... But this... is a little extreme..."

He whirred sadly, He just wanted to keep you safe, he didn't want to let any Decepticon hurt you... He didn't want to lose the one thing that helped him with his time on earth, He was doing it cause you were his best friend.

"I know..." You reached up to wrap your arms around his neck to hug him, nice and tight. "But I'll be ok... I promise" You gently placed your hand on his cheek as he leaned into the touch. "Keep... you... safe" the radio flicked as he happily nuzzled his free cheek against yours.

Bee will keep you safe for as long as he lived, always.

Hey can I get three different scenarios if, Optimus, Mirage and bumblebee from Rotb, had met a tameranean who is like Starfire in a way, and is a princess. How would they react when they meet her and learn how strong and powerful she is, and what would their romantic relationship be like. Also the reader acts like starfire too, but I would find it funny if she kissed the Autobots to learn their language when she too comes to earth cause they were the nearest thing near her. Sorry if this is a lot I just love the idea since she too lives in space, that they may know a little bit about each other. Also I would find it adorable if they had sparklings with her since I head canon tameraneans can practically mate with anything. (I’m gonna scream if you except this, cause I don’t think you will but thank you for at least reading this! 🫶🏾)

The Autobots were the first you came across upon landing on Earth, you didn't speak their language nor did you speak English. You proved you weren't a threat, but they didn't understand you or know your motives yet. You realized you landed on yet another civilization that doesn't speak nor understand Tamaraneans. And so, you did the only thing you could do. Optimus was the closest, so you gave him a simple peck on the mouth. The other autobots around were trying not to giggle at the look on Prime's face. He was shocked, confused, and maybe a bit flustered. You swore he didn't answer for a couple minutes when you greeted everyone.

He's suchhh a big fan of your Tamaranean features, you're so unique and yet so human as well. Again, he admires your bravery and strength and your attitude. Genuinely enjoys your company. If you're somewhere secluded, he'll go on a drive with you maybe flying next to him as you talk :3

I think Prime would be one to want sparklings with his significant other, he could only hope they will live in a world outside of war. He would never want them to experience what he and many others did. Also deep down, the Orion Pax in him that would've never thought about fighting in a war would've wanted to happily settle down somewhere. Knowing that you're a bit stronger/resilient than normal humans (or most types of aliens he knows of) he feels a lot more secure with having sparklings with you. How many? No one will ever know.

MIRAGE

okay so imagine you meet in the middle of a fight accidentally. You've been trying to blend in like a normal citizen of Earth ever since you got here, you were shocked to see that humans were in fact not the only species that lived here. Unfortunately for you, the same city you were staying at was being attacked by giant evil alien robots.

You're in the middle of the street, not really knowing the extent of what these robots can do. One second you see a Porsche, a semi truck, and a camaro speed past you and transform into more alien robots...but this time they're fighting the one destroying the city so they're good you think? The next second, you were too frozen in admiring these aliens when suddenly a car goes flying towards you.

It happens in slow motion, Mirage is the only one who sees it go straight for your face. But he's confident, he knows he can catch it and save you. Except...it slips through his servos. His spark nearly stops. Instead of seeing a poor 'human' go spat on the ground, he can't believe his optics when you reach out and catch the fucking car??

After that whole incident, he's asking you a bunch of questions. You give him a lil kiss so you can answer him in his language, you're slightly surprised when suddenly you know english and cybertronian, whatever that is

Honestly, I could imagine Mirage never letting go of that kiss, like he's going to joke about it for years.

He's definitely an excited father to your sparklings, you will need to make sure he doesn't teach them to be troublemakers because HE WILL raise them into little fuckin risk takers

BUMBLEBEE

Unfortunately he would not be able to learn your language since there are no tameranean radio stations.. but hey you can still kiss him!

definitely hypes you up and praises you when you chuck a car at a deception or something. Once he knows you're probably as strong as they are, you guys do some cool combos out in the battlefield.

Headcanons for all da Bumblebee x reader headcanons separately (like tfa, tfp, bay, 2018, rotb, rid, g1, Earthspark, cyberverse, rescue bots. How they each would be in a relationship and all that please ((So sorry I didn’t specify before pal 😅🥲))

Ok I hope I got this right😂. And no worries, and let me know if I missed anything or if there is something more specific you want to get my thoughts on

So there are a few things I think all Bee's have in common and that's being kind and a great boyfriend. Optimus raised a gentleman (bot) that's for sure. He's very much the opposite of " Oh I hate my significant other', " My significant other is my ball and chain", etc.

G1 Bumblebee: Definitely a clumsy blushing mess (if robots can blush) around his crush before they get together. He may or may not have used the same line he'd given to Spike to ask Carly out. I feel like he would also be the kind to brag to everyone about his SO and how amazing they are. Seriously, he introduces them to everyone as his SO especially at the beginning. I can see him at the very beginning having to run tell EVERY SINGLE AUTOBOT THAT WILL LISTEN THAT HE IS NOW WITH THIS PERSON. Very sweet boyfriend, and if he isn't cuddling with them he always has to be touching his SO in some way. I.E hand holding, having them in his arms or on his shoulder. The kind of relationship that it can be years down the line and they never run out of things to talk about and still learning new things about each other

TFA Bumblebee: If you got together too close to them making a home in Detroit he would have gotten in trouble for either stealing or messing up some flowers because he either wanted to get something for you and he didn't know the concept of paying for things or he was trying to pick flowers for you and he didn't realize he couldn't just pick some out of a public garden. He can be a little 💩 sometimes like you would probably expect, but he's actually a very sweet boyfriend. Always doing things like when he sees his SO carrying or trying to carry something heavy he has to rush over and carrys it for them while saying something like " Don't worry, Your boyfriend is here to help". Basically any reason to call himself your boyfriend. When Wasp did the electronic paint job with their helmets it affected him more then he let on, and once the others went to bed he asked you to stay with him. He can handle you being gone for a few days but if you're gone for more than a few days he starts becoming very sad because he misses you and the other bots don't know how to handle it. When you get back he nearly crushes you in a tight hug and he will definitely run over anyone who tries to get in the way, and don't expect for him to let you out of his arms for several hours. The other bots adore your relationship and see that you are a good influence on him. I definitely get the vibe that he would be the kind of boyfriend to do something like this

I can see it being the kind of relationship where sometimes you don't even need to talk you can just be around each other in comfortable silence and enjoy each others company

TFP/ Rescue Bots/ RID/ Rescue Bots Academy (I'm combining because these are supposed to be the same bot): He is very sweet with his SO when they are alone but he is somewhat less comfortable with PDA. He's ok with holding hands and a few little things like that but for the most part he won't be the one instigating anything beyond hand holding ( though it also depends on who is around- if you're only around people you know well and are comfortable with he's much more open about PDA). It takes him a little while to get out of the habit of feeling like he has always be taking care of you and protecting you, you definitely make him see this is a partnership and he doesn't have to put everything on himself.

Cyberverse Bumblebee: He's probably not the kind to flirt BEFORE you get together but oh man. Once you do get together he flirts relentlessly, and with the cheesiest pick up lines. For example, if you trip or fall or something and he catches you he will without a doubt say something very cheesy like " I guess you really did fall for me."

Earthspark Bumblebee: I can see this going two ways. Either 1- he accidentally makes it seem like he hates you because it's noticeable to you that he avoids you and that you're the only one he seems to have a problem with. He's forced to admit his feelings when you confront him about his behavior. Or 2- he got close to you but didn't believe it could work between you two. He resigned himself to only being your friend until he couldn't take it anymore and he finally admitted it to you . (Everyone around you wanted you two to get together). An extremely loving boyfriend. He's not bothered at all by PDA, he'll give you a kiss, hug, hold your hand or whatever (SFW obviously) regardless of if anyone is around or not. Loves to call you pet names like; my love, sweetheart, baby (he uses a lot of pet names)

Bayverse Bumblebee: You two are so alike you can almost already tell what the other is thinking without needing to hear it. Seriously like some kind of weird mind meld/soulmate thing going on. Crosshairs once made the mistake of mocking you standing up for Bee when he was giving him a hard time, let's just say he now fears being on the receiving end of your wrath. You two have your own code for when a mission goes wrong, how bad, and where to meet after if you get separated. Also, this bots memory is very good. When you find Wheelie, he remembers what he did to Mikayla and he definitely threatened to blast him back to Cybertron if he ever tried that with you

ROTB/Knightverse Bumblebee: no surprise but he loves going to the drive in with you. Takes you to meet Charlie so that you two can be friends. He loves carrying you around in his arms because of the size difference between you two (he thinks you're so cute and small). He just wants to spend quality time with you whenever he can. Always running a finger through your hair and playing with your hair in some way it just fascinates him

So it’s increasingly clear Hasbro views EarthSpark as old news, as the roll out for the TFONE toys has commenced.

And they look much better than most of the EarthSpark stuff, and look more fun.

The One Steps do use the same old seen over and over for Wheeljack, but the surprise is they went out of the way to retool it to give it a Cybertronian Vehicle Mode.

It’s a step up from ES Breakdown where they didn’t even try.

I like to think this is EarthSpark WildBreak anyway. Now we just need my boys Heatseeker and Slashmark recolored from Bumblebee & Swindle.

Anyhoo the big surprise is Airachnid, and I find it kinda hilarious this design looks like the daughter of Prime Arcee & the original Airachnid. It seems they can’t decide still if Airachnid has both a beast mode and a vehicle mode, as this toy has a spider mode (which I love) but not having a flying mode seems to betray the name AIRachnid. I’m not sure if she’s supposed to be an actual beast like Alpha Trion’s Lion mode or if she is some vaguely spider like camera drone like Shockwave’s more recent spider tank vehicle mode. Still if the next kids cartoon is based on One? Airachnid as one of the main Decepticons, please & thank you.

Another surprise is Sentinel Prime getting a toy, and that he’s a jet on top oh that.

Sentinel Primes tend to be ground based vehicles…

Especially if you include the Sentinel Zeta Primes…

Though the G1-IDW Sentinel has a spaceship mode so it’s not entirely unheard of.

The design for TFONE Sentinel reminds me more of IDW Nominus Prime though…

And Nominus was a snob interested more in doom posting and societal niceties, on top of flying Transformers in modern media being depicted as having superiority complexes over ground based Transformers, this may potentially suggest they basically wrote Nominus Prime but had to make him Sentinel to make Hasbro happy.

The next Sentinel I hope is TFA Sentinel as a triple changer like Octane: fighter jet and Optimus like truck, lol.

The same set of toys Sentinel belongs to includes future Optimus & Megatron.

It’s the battle scars that get me. They went the extra mile on certain details here, though the RiD15 fan in me thinks Steeljaw scratched him. Maybe Beast Mode Alpha Trion swiped him before dying.

The more unique toy is this Optimus one.

Sort of a spiritual successor to the earlier Evolution toys in WFC, where Orion and Hot Rod transform and combine with their trailers to become Optimus and Rodimus, this is a four changing toy. That’s pretty rare! And it’s kinda like Punch/Counterpunch too, which amuses me.

The main gimmick is Orion being flipped around to evolve into Optimus and evolve further into a sort of Super Mode. And it looks better than previous attempts like the Energon Bra Armor CV Optimus. Those Energon Bra toys clogged my local Ollie’s for awhile, ugh. Still this actually looks kinda cool and appealing to kids, which is more than can be said about the entirety of Cyberverse & EarthSpark. The prices remain the sticking point despite being far better toys however… So toy sales might not be that great because of prices… G3 Bakugan is tanking but kids are still getting the toys because they’re affordable compared to the mostly shelf warming EarthSpark and RotB toys. Hasbro comes off as having more confidence in One though, and it shows because these feel like the toys the Terrans should have, so we’ll see if that pays off.

OH! This is gonna be a long post! Let me talk a lot PLSSS!! 🥺👉👈

I love the original TFP dub but I also dig the Japanese version! I often enjoy comparing the differences between them!

A lot of popular voice actors in Japan participate in the show. Some of them even did voices in the “BEAST WARS” series, which had a big fanbase in my country.

The biggest difference between the original and the Japanese version is that the latter makes a few adjustments to the characters to make them more distinctive and child-friendly. They even added some comical lines that weren’t in the original to make it more mild and relatable for children. Because the original had some pretty serious moments. So in the Japanese version, Starscream and Airachnid turned out to be the funniest characters…

Similarly, “BEAST WARS” also underwent some comical changes for similar reasons. And because of that, the show was a hit with Japanese kids back in the day. So in TFP, I'd say they also gave a nod to fans who grew up watching it.

But as you can imagine, these changes have divided opinions among fans in Japan. Tbh, I understand how both of them feel about it because I love the original vibes! That being said, the Japanese dub has a lot of adorable moments that don’t exist in the original version! Let me pick up MY BOY BREAKDOWN as an example!!!!

He has a funny childish demeanor and talks more than in the original dub. His favorite phrase is “壊すの大好き!(I love breaking things!)”

In “Deus Ex Machina,” the episode of his first appearance, he says, “あーーーごめーーーーん！！(AAAHHH I’M SOOOORYYYYYY!!!)” to Knock Out when he accidentally hits his partner's face with his hammer!

In the next episode, “Speed Metal,” when Starscream scratches Knock Out’s paint as a punishment, Breakdown breaks the fourth wall and speaks to kids in front of the TV, saying “みんなぁ！ いじめはダメだぞぉ！(HEY YOU GUYS!! BULLYING IS WRONG!!)” AWW IT'S SO ADORABLE!! HES 100% A NICE GUY lmao

And surprisingly, he even sings a song sometimes... If you don't believe me, please check out “T.M.I” and “Operation Bumblebee part 2” 🥺

And Our Knock Out is even more of a narcissist than in the original. He always praises himself for how beautiful he is. He usually uses polite Japanese when talking to others, but sometimes he talks to Breakdown casually! I love how the difference in his behavior signifies that Breakdown is special to him as a friend! ( ꈍᴗꈍ) <3

In addition, the voices of Optimus and Megatron both sound younger than in the original! On the other hand, Bulkhead sounds older than in the English version. That's interesting! Oh, and did you know? Wheeljack speaks just like a samurai! This change is probably due to his two-sword style.

I especially love Japanese Ratchet. The voice actor is Nobuo Tobita, who has played many TF characters until now. His voice is really soft and gentle! Besides, he also voiced Scourge in Rise of the Beasts! Wow, he has a wide range of acting! I’m a long-time fan of his!

Oh, speaking of ROTB, let me mention Japanese Mirage’s voice actor, Shingo Fujimori! He’s a famous comedian, and his comedy style is acting like a player and a party person (or someone like that… it’s difficult to explain). He shouts things like “YOOO! GIRL, YOU’RE SO PURDYYY!” So he really fits the character of Mirage!

Oh! And you listened to “TRANSFORMERZ” by M-flo? I like the song too! The original opening theme of TFP is magnificent, so you all might be surprised at the gap between them, but such an anime style is not bad, right? It's interesting how we find different styles in different countries!Unfortunately, the show was only broadcast in Japan up to seasons 2. I wish I could have seen the entire series dubbed in Japanese...😭

My thoughts on Skybound's Transformers!

Includes Issue #1 SPOILERS

So, I finally got around to reading the new Skybound Transformers comic, and I must say I quite like it so far! (The post is long but there are snapshots!)

The depictions of the relationship between characters had me devouring Issue #1 with wide eyes and gasps; I love that it is extremely evident that there is history between the characters.

That Skyfire and Starscream are the first duo featured speaks VOLUMES. Instantly, there is friction/conflict and tension. From the first moment, there is their trademark tragedy written into their stories. What a treat for SkyStar shippers!! >:)

As for Optimus and Bumblebee, I found the moment when Optimus sees Bumblebee's mangled corpse particularly impactful and absolutely love its portrayal. The parallel that it shares with the beginning was an appropriate way to evoke a readers' sympathy. In the panels around this, Spike's expressions also greatly reflect the sorrow that can be felt in the moment; even a bystander can feel Optimus' grief and understand him, making Optimus all the more human. Not to mention Optimus' portrayal—his optics, his posture, the way he hunches over Bumblebee and holds him; the care and the grief, it's written and drawn all over this. I love its masterful portrayal. On a less profound note, it's hilarious that the first one to die is a fan-favourite 💀 Spiteful!

And then there is Soundwave and Ravage. Soundwave definitely cares for Ravage, and who am I but a sucker for a close relationship between carrier and cassettes.

And the trine was so close to completion! Maybe Starscream is agonising over the loss of an asset, but I think there's something more affectionate to it than that.

That being said, Starscream is such a wicked bastard in this one and I love that for him. It serves as a good reminder to Decepticon sympathisers how much of a cunt he truly is.

On another note, the comic starts off with strong sympathetic human characters. This is something that I greatly appreciate because humans, for so much of the franchise seem so redundant with the exception of a few rare gems (ROTB, for instance) so having a good impression of the humans right off the bat is leaves quite a good impression.

Spike and Carly both have dreams yet struggle to achieve them which gives readers a good starting point to start rooting for them.

The fact that we see them passing the night by stargazing also sets a calm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere for them which helps readers warm up to them better, as coontrasted to IDW with an angsty thief for a character 💀 (I really didn't like her, but I also didn't give her much of a chance to develop as a character.)

I also like how they reacted in the crisis of getting caught in the crossfire between the Cybertronians. They reacted sensibly by first considering escape but being humans, their curiosity overcomes them in an understandable manner. When the violence begins, they stay out of sight, panicking but not overreacting. This makes them infintely more relatable and likeable. And I love that Spike got himself involved by pushing the gun towards Optimus! That was rather sweet of him. (Also, I thought the gun was Megatron for a whole second before my brain caught up to the context and went 'Wait, that can't be right, right?' but there's a lot of potential in all the ways that can go)

I had a blast and it's only Issue #1! I can't wait to see how deep a hole I dig for myself in the following issues. Hopefully, I can organise my thoughts in a more coherent manner next time; I simply didn't expect to be this impressed by the Energon Universe.

Why I didn't like 'Rise of the Beasts'

(Warnings: spoilers for ROTB and also mentions of character death)

This is just a little rant essay talking about why even though I wanted to like ROTB I quickly stopped enjoying it.

It all comes down to a simple reason: I love 'Bumblebee' (as in the 2018 film). That still stands to be my favourite Transformers movie. No shade to anyone who enjoys the Bay movies but I did not enjoy them (the casual sexism was so drastically off-putting for me as a teenage girl when it first came out), so I was overjoyed when Bumblebee came out and the movie was nice and sweet and made me really care about Bee and his connection to Charlie.

So when ROTB came out I was hoping it was going to be a good follow up and 'Bumblebee', and it was quite quickly apparent that it wasn't. It seemed that while 'Bumblebee' got the best overall reviews of any TF movie, it also didn't do that well at the box office (since it came out against the first Spiderverse movie which ended up being such a massive phenomenon). It seems Hasbro considered it a failure because ROTB doesn't feel like a sequel to 'Bumblebee', it feels more like it is trying to be a spiritual successor/sequel to the Bay films (probably evident by how the main threat is Unicron, who was the teased threat at the end of 'Last Knight').

It just doesn't quite have the spirit and sentiment of 'Bumblebee' but what made it a true disappointment for me was actually in the movies treatment of Bumblebee itself.

I came to this film because of 'Bumblebee' and I wanted to see how Bumblebee's story continued.

Then he dies in the first fight of the film. It wasn't even that in itself. It was the way they approached it in the story. The actual moment held surprisingly little weight, the characters seemed at best mildly upset by one of their comrades dying. There was no depiction of proper sadness or grief which you think you would expect for one of the main characters of the movie being actually dead, especially when they emphasize these Autobots potentially being the last of their kind.

This is even more severely undercut after the fight is over and they instantly establish that there is a way to bring Bumblebee back to life. Oh, so that's why no one was acting as if they cared, it's because the story already told us not to bother about it.

This was the point for me when I emotionally checked out of the moved. I found that it completely undercut the depiction of death in the film. In fact why should I bother getting emotionally invested in any death in the movie after that? The film seemed to want me to care when Airazor died, but why should I? Why can't she come back as well? All it would take is an excuse from the writers. Why should I care about Mirage's sacrifice? How could I trust that that moment with heavy narrative weight would actually matter? (and actually for the record I didn't mind Mirage being brought back at the end, because it was at least made clear Noah went to some effort in repairing Mirage and bringing him back. I just felt that the moment would have had more impact if they hadn't pulled that same trick earlier).

The annoying thing is I think there would have been a very easy fix: In that first battle, just have Bumblebee wounded and in the state of dying rather than actually dead. Then the characters can be like "Quick! We need to find the energon maguffin in order to revive Bumblebee." The rest of the movie would have gone exactly the same with a nice ticking clock for tension, but the premise of death itself wouldn't have been severely undercut.

I think there is a problem overall with how a lot of media handles death (though I feel I am mostly talking about US made media), but especially in franchise stuff it's become too weightless and ephemeral. Characters are killed and brought back to life with relative ease because there are probably corporate overlords demanding these characters come back so they can continue making money off their image.

Just watched the Transformers ONE trailer!! Alrighty... i have some thoughts. It's very cute!! The art is lovely 💕 It has me very curious as to what they intend to do with the story, I have my theories, but I'm excited to see how everything plays out! :3

I think I'm just being rather harsh atm, it is kinda giving beats of every other kids movie within the past few years, but with a Transformers skin. I think it could just be the trailer editing though?

I was originally hoping this would be a more serious movie, since I feel like fans have been begging for a fully animated feature film on Cybertron forever. But I do understand wanting to make a more approachable Transformers for new fans. Especially with Skybounds comic and I feel like just an overall resurgence to Transformers and the fandom thanks to RotB.

The only thing atm that I'm not very crazy about is Bumblebee being there and that he's like... the hype guy and comic relief character. I know he's a beloved character and incredibly recognizable, even to nonfans, but ahhhh... I dunno.

I'm gonna go through the trailer again and try to piece things together. I did spot Shockwave, Soundwave and Starscream which was very cool!

Anyway, I've came to enjoy most takes on the Transformers, it's a perfect IP for fresh takes, so I will most likely enjoy this one too or at least aspects of it! I think it's just the potential to do something else that has me a bit hesitant to celebrate and of course this is just my own expectation I've set for it. The film will definitely be entertaining and visually beautiful! 💕

RotB spoilers

Wow. That sure was... a Transformers movie.

The Positives:

The human characters were amazing. I love Noah's relationship with his little brother, the Sonic and Tails thing made me squee both because I'm a Sonic nerd and because it was just so darn cute! Anthony Ramos does a great job of protraying both the comedic and the more serious sides of the character. I hope he gets big after this, I'd love to see him in more. Same for Dominique Fishback, who also did amazing as Elena. Elena is a gem of a character, I loved her genuine passion for history and how openminded and willing to help she is. Her relationship with the Autobots and the Maximals is so genuinely respectful on both sides and the way the movie makes it clear that the gang probably wouldn't get far without her knowledge - I'm just really happy that the first POC human companions in a Transformers movie were handled this well.

Mirage and Noah's odd friendship is wholesome and funny and one of the highpoints of the movie. Mirage in general is a pretty well-written comedic relief. He's quirky and does his own thing, but never to the point that it gets grating. I think a big part of his likability comes from Pete Davidson's performance, he gives this character such an inherent charisma and joy for life you can't help but warm up to him eventually. I found it pretty interesting that Noah and Mirage seem to be a sort of mirror to Bumblebee and Charlie, heck, their last scene together is literally Noah repairing Mirage to bring him back from a coma. Human-Transformer friendships are pretty hit or miss in these movies, but these two absolutely hit. Btw, we're definitely in for tons of ship-art after Mirage's "You were inside me!" - line and I, for one, cannot wait. Hot take, Noah and Mirage should have kissed.

The Transformers designs were awesome (for the most part, but we'll get to that)! They're very different from the old Bayverse designs, but not in a bad way at all. I think they're a perfect mix of the old traditional G1 but wth enough elements from more modern depictions that they can be seen as their own thing. I'm especially a fan of Arcee's new look, the visor that becomes her windshield in motorcycle-form is aneat touch.

It was cool to see less known Transformers get to be part of the maincast. Mirage is the obvious one, but we've also got Stratosphere, whom I honestly didn't think they'd ever bring back, but it was a nice surprise. I think it's an interesting decision to not have Bumblebee the one who bonds with a human, since in every mainline movie so far he was basically the bridge between humans and Autobots, as the only one with a permanent human companion. They even reference it. But I can get behind it, Bumblebee's kind of become infamous for hogging the limelight. Giving another Autobot a human friend allows someone else to shine for once.

The underlying commentary on instituional racism in both Elena's and Noah's stories was *chef's kiss*. The way Noah struggled to get a job, despite having all the qualities, but being dismissed at the first excuse hi would-be boss gets? Elena being obviously more qualified to be a curator than her boss, but being stuck as an intern who does all the actual work while the white woman gets all the credit for it? Real. Frustrating, but real.

Optimus being portrayed as more jaded and bitter and needing to relearn the meaning of Til All Are One was an intriguing direction to take the characcter in, I enjoyed it for the most part. Also ngl, I got a bit teary-eyed when Optimus pleaded with Noah not to destroy the Transwarp Key and that they could save both of their worlds without one needing to suffer. The paralells between Optimus and Noah were also neat. They're both soldiers who adopted a "Whatever it takes" mindset after countless instances of life just absolutely dumping on them and need to re-learn that sometimes, it's not just about you and your loved ones. You can't just dismiss the fate of others because they're not in your general orbit and working together so no one will have to sacrifice or be sacrificed will always be better than bulldozing through with a "Fuck you, got mine" attitude.

The movie gives the middle finger to the Ancient Aliens trope so fucking hard. Yes, the Maximals were on Earth for a long time and had contact with humans, nope, they're not responsible for stuff like the Nazca Lines or the pyramids, those were all still the humans. The Maximals only contributed their own artifacts to hide the Transwarp Key and even those are clearly distinct from humanity's ancient artifacts, absolutely no overlap. If anything, it's heavily implied the Maximals were imitating humanity when creating their artifacts and I think that's great.

The Negatives:

The story isn't really the movie's strong point. It's a standard Macguffin-hunt, ending with a world-ending threat. If you've seen even one movie with those plot-points before, you've seen this one. There's very little there in terms of fresh new takes or originality. The pacing's too fast to give much attention to the characters, who should have been the main focus, and the climax is a drag that takes about half an hour too long, has about three separate Darkest Hour moments and severely undermines two major characters (more on that later).

The secondary conflict about Noah wanting to destroy the Transwarp Key to protect Earth from Unicron and going behind both the Autobots' and the Maximals' backs is resolved way too quickly. I get why it is, going more in-depth with it would have taken time that the movie simply didn't have to spare, but I feel like that was a potentially enaging discussion that we've missed out on. It's one of the very few examples where a story portrays a gray conflict in a competent manner: You can't really blame Noah for not wanting Earth to be torn apart between all those factions of giant robots, one of whom has shown nothing but disdain for humanity and seems to care only about his own people. On the other end, you can understand why Optimus is so desperate and hyperfocused on using the key to return to Cybertron: There's still a war going on there, dozens of his friends are in the line of fire and he's been forced to sit the conflict out on Earth twiddling his thumbs, with no way to contact the other Autobots. Optimus' speech to Noah during Airazor's attack was good, I won't deny that, but I wish we could've seen other characters react to what Noah almost did. Would they be accepting like Optimus? Or would they feel angry and betrayed, especially Mirage? Speaking of Mirage, how would the fact that Noah almost took away his one hope of going back home affect their relationship? How would Noah defend himself? Or would he accept that what he did was understandable but not okay and try to apologize?

I'm sorry, the Mirage-armor was just silly. It looked silly too. Granted the movie did kind of foreshadow it with Noah's Mirage-glove, but a simple glove is leagues away from 'dismantling my entire body to give my bestie a mech-suit made out of me'. And no hate to the CGI artists, but they messed up big time on the armor. It's obvious Noah's face is photoshopped in there and the movements are just way too video game character-y.

I'm not sure how I feel about the G. I. Joe teaser. I've never watched the cartoon, but I am aware they've had a history of crossovers with Transformers. Still, this feels like another attempt at creating a cinematic universe a la Marvel and I'm really starting to get sick of those. Plus, are we supposed to just ignore that a government organization was spying on Noah the whole time, meddled with his family's medical business and is already looking to weaponize the Autobots for their own purposes through Noah's connection with them? I gotta say, that's a whole lotta yikes that we're just supposed to accept because the Joes are, allegedly, the Good Guys. And come to think of it, how come they only contacted Noah? How come Elena didn't get contacted as well? She was right there, they never would've been able to save the world without her contributions! But that transitions neatly into my next point.

This movie does it's female characters dirty. All of the main groups suffer from Smurfette Principle (each group has only one female character who is mostly relegated to sidekick or background role for the sake of the male characters). Like, the male-female ratio isn't balanced at all here. Two of the four main girls don't get to do anything but be there, more or less, one gets fridged and one gets shafted for the sake of her male companion. Airazor's death was an insult, I'm sorry, but it was. You're telling me that Scourge has the ability to corrupt and brainwash other Transformers and out of the dozens of characters he fights/comes close to over the course of the movie, the only one he uses that on is the sole female Maximal? Oh and just to add insult to injury: Bumblebee gets fatally stabbed in the first act, but gets magically revived during the climax through energon. Not Airazor though. She stays dead. I guess healing springs are boys only. Don't get me started on Elena. The movie spends so much time building her up as the Heart, the Brain to Noah's Brawn whose contributions are just as if not more important and then it screws her over in the climax by removing the one way for her to save the day so Noah and Optimus can do it instead. She literally gets dragged off the battlefield so the men can do the "real" fighting. Oh, and remember Airazor? The movie was teasing that Airazor could be to Elena what Mirage is to Noah, but not only does Airazor die, she attacks Elena beforehand and Elena is forced to witness Primal mercy-killing her. Fucking wow. Elena wasn't allowed to have anything in this movie. (Yes, it was nice to see her being credited with the discovery of the old underground city in Peru, but again: The fact that Noah was given major credit for helping save the world while she was more or less shoved into the background and ignored speaks volumes). You're probably wondering why I haven't said anything about Arcee and Nightbird yet. That's because there is nothing to say. They're barely characters in this movie. Arcee is flat as they come and Nightbird is just a villain who spouts eeevil one-liners. Thanks, I hate it.

We did not need a return of the Realistic Old Man robot designs. Stratosphere and Wheeljack look so deeply out of place next to the others. Why couldn't Wheeljack keep his design from Bumblebee (the movie) and just have it tweaked a bit to fit in on Earth? Seriously, were the "realistic" faces anyone's favorite part of the old Bayverse series? Optimus, Arcee's, Mirage's and Bumblebee's designs were already perfect. Just human enough to be readable, just otherworldly enough to be alien, why did we have to do Jackie and Strats like that???

I'm gonna say it: It was way too early to bring in Unicron as the Big Bad. In Transformers canon, Unicron is basically Thanos. You can allude to him, hint at him as a Greater Evil that's to come, but you do not bring in fucking Unicron as your Starter Villain! Imagine if in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1, Thanos just showed up at the midpoint, teamed up with Ronan and got beaten by the Guardians. That's this movie with Unicron and Scourge. You already had perfectly serviceable villains with Scourge's team, you didn't need to waste the planet-level threat like that! Unicron should have been this constant looming presence in the background, someone we regularly see Scourge interact with and him managing to cross over should be a Worst Case Scenario, not the actual climax. He should not have appeared in person! Because now that the bubble's burst, the tension is gone. We don't need to be afraid of Unicron anymore, because the heroes already beat him once and he has no way to return. And where do you go to escalate from a literally planet-sized Transformer god who eats other planets as fuel??? Where do you escalate from there?? What or who could be more of a threat than a god??? There's a reason Unicron was the Big Bad for a whole separate movie in G1. Now that you had him, every other threat will inevitably look like a step down in comparison. The Decepticons will look like a step down in comparison! Good job Jody Harold, I didn't think anyone could shoot themselves in the foot that badly, but you've proved me wrong quite expertly. Bravo!/s

The Autobots and Maximals feel so underdeveloped. It's been an unfortunate trend in live-action Transformers that the actual Transformers are more window-dressing than anything else ever since Transformers (2007) and sadly, that's very much the case in this movie. Apart from Optimus and, if we're being extremely generous, Mirage, none of the Autobots get anything resembling a character arc or good character moments. Same for the Maximals. The Terrorcons are just generic villains who are neither hammy nor cool enough to leave a lasting impression. There are hints of potential, with the implication that the Terrorcons are remnants of worlds destroyed by Unicron that Unicron brainwashed into his service, but we never really elaborate on that. They're really just goons for the heroes to get whooped by in the first act, so they can be triumphantly defeated in the third act. They had something going with the Optimus/Scourge rivalry and the potential Scourge/Primal rivalry, but none of it is executed in a way that feels narratively satisfying. Optimus gets his ass beat once and Bumblebee gets stabbed trying to help him and from then on Optimus kinda wants revenge until he doesn't. Primal's brother Apelinq dies to Scourge while holding the line so the Maximals can escape their planet, but that's literally only mentioned once and then Primal just forgets he was supposed to hold a grudge, I guess. Watching the movie, it's pretty obvious the Transformers were an afterthought, which really shouldn't be the case in a movie series that has their name in the title.

The action is extremely underwhelming. The fight choreography is kind of okay, but everything feels way too floaty and weightless. There's no 'oomph' behind any of the punches, kicks or any physical attacks. Same goes for the gunfights. The characters might as well be firing with pea-shooters for all the damage any projectile does in this movie. Airazor's fire-breath is the closest thing a weapon comes in this movie to being actually threatening, because she's allowed to do actual damage that isn't shrugged off. If there's anything to be said for the original Bayverse movies, it's that the fights were phenomenal. You could actually feel the characters were heavy, you could tell they were getting hurt. Nothing about this film's fight-scenes feels tense or engaging. Just a bunch of robots shooting blue pellets at one another and doing flips in-between. That's it. Bumblebee (2018) only had like three major fight-scenes and it still managed to outdo this one in terms of solid action. The big battle scene in the climax tries to feel grand and high-stakes, but it doesn't work because you don't care for most of these characters. Though I will admit, Primal kill-stealing from Optimus and Optimus being indignant about it was funny. Maybe I would have cared more if we'd had more interactions like that between the characters.

Conclusion:

This movie was mid in every way. Some characters stood out, most didn't. The story was nothing to write home about, the acting is solid for the most part but the action doesn't deliver and you constantly feel like there could have been more if the movie handled its time better.

4.5/10, Bumblebee (2018) did it better.

I adore ROTB

Sort of spoilers. I do my best not to.

I haven’t had much time to reflect on it but ahhhhhh it was so goood! This was the first time I’ve seen a transformers film in theaters and I was losing my mind but trying to be quiet.

But I just LOVE the way the maximals (idk if that’s how you spell it- I have a strictly casual relationship with the English language) move. Like Airrazor talking looked amazing to me and I loved how Primal’s nose would move sometimes. Cheetor’s run cycle! I eat that shit upppppp!! Cheetor in general was really well designed to me. I hope I can get a good toy of him (I already picked up the SS Airrazor). Cheetahs are my favorite animals even if they constantly shoot themselves in the foot, evolutionary wise. The maximals look very good IMO and I’m happy they finally got decent 3D renders. I love how big they all are as well. Like these things could destroy just about anything on earth. I also like the voices for the Maximals.

The humans were also really good. I love Noah’s relationship with his little brother and the conflict with him felt realistic and very grounded in the alien car movie. His friendship with Mirage did feel a little rushed but honestly that worked with the way he was characterized I think. Like Mirage seemed so desperate for a non auto bot friendship and he seemed to have a general affinity for humans not dissimilar to Bumblebee’s.

Also the part where Bee put on his battle mask caused me and the person who was sitting next to me to lose out collective minds. I don’t care if it’s cheesy, pull that stick out of your ass and enjoy the action! Enjoy the drama!

Also I love Mirage’s face. I wish he looked less like Jazz in his alt mode but honestly his bot mode is so cool so I don’t care that much. I also like OP’s face. It’s sort of modeled after Peter Collin’s face so it’s marvelous. I think they should have changed Wheeljacks name to Perceptor, especially sense BB movie design for Wheeljack was just so perfect but also Pablo is my son and he’s so fantastic and I love him and I’m not gonna be person 1,983 hating on this design.

Scourge was alright. I didn’t see the face reveal as too much of an issue or even note it that much in my mind. I think the fact that he collects insignia’s is really cool in a fucked up sort of way. Like it isn’t enough to just kill someone and destroy there home he also needs to disgrace their bodies. It’s also a weird way of keeping track of his victories. I thought it was kind of neat. He’s not that deep and it’s a little bit underwhelming when I think about it. Like I wish the movie had more time to do things. Because to me it didn’t feel that long, I think some extra time would have done it good.

There is a character who died who I think, realistically, should have been able to be revived and I wish that they were. Also a character gets killed and I think the maximals should have been the ones to kill them. I wish the maximals got more screen time. The movie was fairly fast paced. The movie is only 2 hours and 7 minutes long. Which is still 2 hours but I think having it go a little longer would have helped a lot of characters.

The reveal at the end almost made me scream like holy shit. I was expecting something but not THAT. I really hope we can see more decepticons next movie. Like Skywarp as a main antagonist would be so cool. Think of the fight  scenes. Think of the teleportation. Think of another purple movie robot. Please. Pleassseeee.

I though that the CGI was fine. Nothing looked off to me in a way that would pull me out of the movie. The Flash looked a lot worse and I think that movie had a higher budget. 

Optimus wanting to get home and his conflict is compelling to me. Like he doesn’t have a reason to like or trust humans. He’s been stranded on this shithole of a planet with no contact with his army or friends or home for seven years I understand why he hates it. He also has another reason to really get the hell out but spoilers. But also he comes to a general understanding with the humans and learns that they are sort of worth working with. He just wants to get home and help his friend get better and save his own world and brutally murder his enemy. He’s still very brutal but it feels different to Bayverse. That’s probably because I don’t like Michael Bay or his transformers films but you chose to read to this point so you get to deal with my weird biases.

The part where Unicron tells OP not to destroy the key and that he give him anything and OP says “then die” got me way too hyped up. Like wow. Murder dad robot is SO cool!

I love Arcee fighting with Wheeljack and standing on Rhinox, idk if it was a call back and or reference to that one beats wars  scene but I love it either way

Like, Bumblebee, I’ll give them a pass, as it was decided VERY late in the production to make it a reboot (allegedly, it was as only decided AFTER test screening feedback).

What the fuck is their excuse for Rise of the Beasts?

They’ve had 5 years to figure their shit out and better clarify that Rise of the Beasts and Bumblebee are seperate from Bayverse and even after it’s release (and various parts of the movie being VERY different from Bayverse), they still won’t properly clarify shit!

The Autobot was looking for clues about the Omega Lock and heard that Arcadia Oaks will be a best place to look. Jetfire didn't expect an actual war aftermath between peculiar stone creatures, humans nor the strange beast like Cybertronian. There goes hiding in plain sight.

Congrats Optimus Prime! You just became a cool dad to four more human teenagers, one teenage Cybertronian, one wizard, two Akiridions, one dragon familiar, two trolls and one plant fairy demigod. A larger audience for thy dad jokes!

Can I say Autobots in Trollmarket? Let's be real that Bud would honestly want to at least have a second base with Arcadia being a good hub for public relations as the main reason. Real one is because he wants to know more about magic.

Humans on the battlefield! I repeat humans on the battlefield! Claire just teleported Thundecracker into a cliff! Toby whacked Starscream with a gravity hammer! Where did Steve and Eli get those cannons?! Douxie clearly earned his name as he just hit Megatron with a magic guitar!

Jim is precious and he snares Jungle Planet with the curiosity of a lost Sparkling in seconds. Even when he rams Scourge for being mean to Lori. He's got 'Adopt Me' written on his forehead.

Strickler and Optimus being the responsible dads with huge responsibilities. (Both are intimidated by Barbara too.) Pirate jokes ahoy as Strickler tends to hang out on Optimus' shoulder like a parrot alongside their pirate captain.

Movieverse: Post Bumblebee

Autobot Discoverer: Mirage

Was just passing through and Arcadia Oaks being a pit stop. Optimus knew the moment Mirage mentioned running into a war aftermath that it's going to be a LONG DAY. The strange stone organics and the Cybertronian amongst them solidify it.

Tired dad Optimus Prime acquires 12 more kids with only one being a Cybertronian. All of them are mischievous gremlins and have either weaponry or powers. Primus help him.

Bumblebee is FINALLY not the youngest Autobot of the group anymore! He called dibs on big brother in an instant much to Mirage's dismay. Jim's just confused about why they're bickering and a bit too hungry to care.

Arcee has now joined the kickass girl's group. She often hangs out at Tarron's place and they talk about all kinds of stuff together. It is very refreshing especially when the girls prank the boys.

Optimus has an aneurysm the moment the kids run into the battlefield. Mirage thinks it's cool as he, Toby and Krel try out a new combo. Bumblebee is shooting from atop Jim's back. Arcee doesn't help either as she gets Douxie closer to fire off a spell.

Truck dad goes to Trollhunter dad for advice as the other two troll dads are enablers to the kids' dumb antics. Strickler just pats a shellshocked Optimus on the back while Barbara regains order in seconds.

Mirage decides Arcadia Oaks is the coolest place to hide out at. Drive Thru Movie theaters are so much more fun when you don't have to go incognito. Even if the trolls are snack thieves.

Autobot Discoverer: Ratchet

He rarely goes on missions, especially solo ones as someone has to maintain the space bridge. Sadly Ratchet is the only expert when it comes to strange Energon signals. He knew he shouldn't have left the base upon the now inactive warzone with the humans, stone creatures and the lone teenage Cybertronian.

Ratchet dumps 12 kids for Optimus to be an awkward dad for as he ain't herding them alone. Man is stunned by the betrayal and is so confused. He drags down Bumblebee with him since the bot got his new voice box.

You can bet your ass every Autobot had an aneurysm when the human kids ran into the battlefield. They tend to forget about the superpowers, magic and high tech weapons. It doesn't do much to ease the panic.

Secret base number 3 in Arcadia Oaks specifically connected to Trollmarket. Ratchet has to put his tools under lock and key as the trolls will eat em. At least he can study this 'Primordial Heartstone' in peace.

Optimus being so awkward especially since Jim is apparently clingy when it comes to the Prime. Why does this youngling keep trying to ram him or butt his horns against him? Blinky's answer about this being standard troll behavior for young trolls, well Jim specifically, confuses him more.

The kids and less mature Autobots definitely teach each other swears in respective languages much to Bumblebee's horror. It's quite infectious as Ratchet blurts out a Trollish swear then gasps in horror. Sidesweep and Miko thinks its hilarious.

Strickler has to help the poor Dadbots in reigning the kids. Trollhunter duties do include establishing the peace. Even if it means Barbara has to step in cause Sidesweep, Miko and Toby together are terrors.

Autobot Discoverer: Bumblebee

Ratchet wanted Bee to inspect a strange minecart that had been uncovered below the base. The little bot didn't expect it be a speedy trip to California. Nor the aftermath with humans, strange stone creatures and a very odd bot.

Ratchet tries not to have a stroke thanks to the 12 new kids involved in their mission. Optimus awkwardly uses his inspirational dad skills to keep some semblance of peace. It works half the time.

Bumblebee is happy he isn't the youngest Autobot anymore but is annoyed that he's still the shortest. How come the new kid matches Bulkhead in size already and is still growing?! Toby just pats him on the back as consolation.

Prowl and Nari are nature siblings. They got a homemade garden growing near base alongside one for meditation purposes. AAARRRGGHH is often confused for a mossy rock though.

Optimus Prime is happy that someone likes hearing his speeches as Jim and Draal are curious. Everyone jokes he can now add Dadbot to his personal title. He prefers the term Dadimus.

Probably the least concerned about humans on the battlefield as they can properly defend themselves. None of the bots let them stray too far though. Even if it's funny when Starscream gets whacked in the face with a guitar and hammer.

Sari loves not being the only human in the group. Although Strickler makes sure she doesn't get into serious Troll business once the bots decide to have a second base in Arcadia. Barbara is a life saver for Ratchet when it comes to treating human youths.

Optimus figured he should give his comrade some freedom would keep him from going stir crazy as he recovers. Why not check out California with Cody? Neither of them expected to discover a now inactive warzone nor the lone bot amongst humans and strange stone beings.

Congrats on the 13 new kids Optimus Prime. Although it seems Prowl is less than enthusiastic to talk with the dad pun machine. Maybe something happened in the past?

"How To Accommodate A Half Troll In Your Secret Base, Written By An Autobot". Red Alert learns that Jim should never forget his special Sunlight Protection necklace as sunstains are difficult to tend to. Disgust Against Merlin increases. P.S Lock up any important tools or they might get eaten by a hungry half troll.

Autobots try to bond with the ninjabot albeit with varying success. Landmine has the most success while poor Optimus needs Draal and Jim to help him even talk to Prowl. It's gonna take awhile...

Teenagers being absolute terrors on the battlefield much to the Decepticons sudden horror. You know shit is about to hit the fan when Starscream gets clocked by a crystal hammer then knocked over by a half troll teen. Prowl is the only Autobot proud with the chaos.

Barbara being an absolute terror as she represents the Trolls when meeting planet leaders. Scourge gets throttled by a half Troll mother into next week much to Override's amusement. Better by on your best behavior in Arcadia should ya visit!

Beast Cyber Planet Key and Jim? Unpredictable combination of monstrous proportions. Jim learns how to be a beast alongside Leo Breaker. Prowl gets dogpiled later as the poor former human misses his brother.

Movieverse: Post Bumblebee

Autobot Discoverer: Optimus Prime

He had picked up an unknown distress signal linked to his comm. system. The source being somewhere in Arcadia Oaks, California. Optimus never thought it to be a horrific aftermath of a war between humans, strange stone entities and the lone Autobot who looks at him like a ghost.

Optimus becomes an even more tired dad to 13 kids with one avoiding him and Bumblebee like the plague. At least he has some help in the form of the human 'Trollhunter' turned half troll. Primus give him more assistance.

Young Autobots are curious about how it's like to have two non-Cybertronian siblings and be adopted by a former human. Prowl just stares before pointing at his two trollish siblings cross horns as they spar while Barbara fell asleep on some tires from exhaustion. "...Guess this is how bossman feels everyday."

Is it bad to be half concerned about how feral these teenagers are on the battlefield? Prowl ain't holding them back nor is Barbara. Optimus knew he needs a drink later when Toby began to FLY with his hammer.

Secret weapon to handling young Autobots is a half troll mother. It is quite a sight to see a small woman drag a giant robot by his servos after he got into a police chase. Even more impressive with the scolding that follows.

Bee and Optimus try to reach out to Prowl. Ninjabot closes up until his two siblings give him a shove. Reluctant bonding time with heartache ahoy!

Arcadia Oaks proves to be very whacky after they welcome the refugee Autobots. Laying low is a bit difficult when a goblin hungrily stares at your tires. Good thing there are places they can hide out that isn't the street.

Autobot Discoverer: Arcee

She had been investigating a possible Energon Mine when a signal reached her. Arcee obviously alerted command before she went to check it out. The war aftermath between humans and strange stone beings were not what Arcee expected. Neither was the bot amongst them.

13 kids gets adopted and split between Ratchet, Bumblebee, then finally Optimus. Prowl doesn't seem to want anything to do with the three Autobots or Bulkhead though. Not a great start.

Grimlock wanting to roughhouse with Prowl's trollish siblings? Absolutely! It's way more fun when they can be wild just like this Dinobot! Barbara makes sure the boys don't go too far though troll mom might step in for a turn.

Most concerned about humans not only being on the battlefield but Prowl is all for it! Becomes clear that the 'War For Arcadia' went much deeper than they thought. At least there is some supervision...

"How To Treat Sunstains, Written By A Tired Autobot". Ratchet is just lucky that it's similar to dealing with metal burns. Although Miko is getting scolded later as Jim gets treated. At least he doesn't try to run like some patients.

Blinky, Eli and Fixit are disastrous conspiracy nuts that need to be watched at all time. Doesn't help when Krel, Sideswipe or Miko likes to enable them for even extra chaos. Prowl is quick to call Barbara before they set a house on fire.

Team Unknown Heartache tries to befriend the ninjabot. Half troll mom intervenes before Prowl has a mental breakdown. Trauma is very hard to recover from so it's best to take one step at a time.
