yk i brought omi at first bc i personally thought he'd be funny to take along to the headmaster's office after the polyjuice. i did not intend for my brain to turn the quest into one big bonding time (and foreshadowing). it's fun for me but it was coincidentally a great choice esp with Niamh talking abt what darkness is and its value despite what it is. It's all very foreboding.

Also, just to note. my ravenclaw run is a no dark arts run so Ominis does trust the mc rather implicitly on such matters is how i perceive this. she's vocal abt not wanting to learn it despite still wanting to help sebastian.

We can't hear it Spam, but it's real to you. I get auditory hallucinations a lot, and usually what helps me is a distraction. Maybe... name 5 things you can see? Or make paper airplanes with old messages, or draw some pictures. Otherwise, I'm sure someone has a crossword or story they can send you to help you out!

ok confession these games scare me bc tagging people still intimidates me but i'm being brave today here's some lines i wrote a while back from the dragons of kiltide. just fabin having a little teenage angst. also this is 9 (11 but shh the context!!) paragraphs bc i still don't know how to shut the fuck up. thank you @space-writes for the tag <3

the raedoran cycle

[Fabin] tilts his head, pressing his forehead to the window frame. “What are dreams like?” he asks quietly.

Emilia sits across from him, watching how his eyes stare through the window but see nothing. She thought he'd left that behind in the weeks and months after their parents were killed, thought the long silences were finally over. She tucks her arms against her sides. “They're...like memories. Only more vivid.”

His fingers close around the hilt of his sword. “What do you dream about?”

She rolls her shoulders. “Places I've never been. Things I've never seen.”

One of his hands presses against the glass. “Do you ever dream of...of humans?”

She studies him with a worried frown. “Is there something you want to talk about?”

He recoils, his expression twisting with anger before it closes off. “No. I'm fine. I don't have dreams.” He turns away from her. “Never mind.”

Emilia sighs. “I talked Muiris down. He doesn't want to kill you anymore.”

“Good for him.”

“You should apologize for breaking his foot.”

Fabin turns to face her again, his eyes wide. “I actually broke it?”

also re: my dean + sex work post, and especially the quote from 1x08 where dean's talking abt making money through non-legal ways like hustling and scamming and he says, "it's what we were raised to do" and then connecting that to the scene in 1x20 where john tells dean "you know what to do" cut to-- dean playing monster bait (and being nonconsensually kissed by a vampire) and then connecting that to the cut line from 14x14 where dean tells cas that john used to make him play the wide-eyed hitchhiker routine as monster bait on hunts. dean was groomed from a young age by john to see his body as nothing more than a tool and weapon. he learned from a young age that his body is an object. he is daddy's blunt little instrument. he is something that can be used for a purpose and then discarded. he's repeatedly used as a soldier and weapon by john when he's needed and then abandoned and neglected when he's not. and i think that mentality absolutely influenced how he saw his body in relation to sex and sex work. and i'm not saying sex work can't be empowering or positive for some people but in dean's specific case and circumstances it wouldn't have really been a choice but more a desperate last ditch option. but one that he doesn't even waver much on because of all these prior experiences that have primed him for being objectified. like he's already had so much of his personhood stripped, he'd already been objectified as a weapon, seeing himself as expendable and only useful when he's being used. all of this made him so vulnerable and desensitized in a way that sex work for survival wouldn't even be a huge jump for him. it's another way he can be useful and make sure he's providing for his brother and fulfilling his number one job as caretaker.

Personally I think there’s something larger looming after Ludinus. You just don’t introduce a cult following for Chetney Motherfucking Pock O’Pea without intending for it to lead to something.

So yeah. If they just pull the plug on them after Ludinus/Predathos I’d be really surprised… and also disappointed but like you said.. I’d keep that to myself and my inbox.

i DO agree that there feels like more to do after they defeat Ludinus (and tbh handling Predathos might be a whole seperate thing! in no world should a god eater be a lvl 15 boss fight), but i cannot say i think Waylon is the secret final boss of c3. imagine though.

india wonders if he can sense it. her difference in demeanour. the way she's resorted to staying in instead of going out with them all. her lack of enthusiasm for what feels like almost everything lately. the compliment throws her off guard, the subtle sincerity of it even though he's still likening her to metaphorical shit . "fee." his name is shaky on her lips, doe brown eyes filling up despite herself. it's nearing the end of the school year, her nerves are frayed and she's more sensitive than ever. "you don't, we don't ---" have to do this. whatever it was. their way of preparing to say goodbye for the summer, perhaps? she finds it to be too much, his sentiments, as well as her own emotions. "ugh, it's so fucking hot." could she fool him by pretending it was merely the weather that was bothering her?

turning momentarily in the opposite direction, she swipes her hand across her face. a couple of stray tears are rubbed away with a quick flick of her fingers. she's trying and failing to compose herself in front of him, something that she thought she'd mastered. "i'm sorry." the apology is unnecessary because she already knows that he won't judge her for this. as unintentionally cruel as he'd been with her heart, she knew with certainty that he still cared about her. "my parents are getting a divorce." the weight of her words feel heavy in her throat. he's the first person she's told. as an only child, india had no siblings to comfort her or confide in. she'd been carrying the news around for a while, trying to bury it in the sand until the exams were over. "my mum is moving back to london indefinitely, but my dad's staying in italy. i'm thinking of spending the summer with him."
