Just as a heads up! Since I got (another) hurricane coming my way requests might be postponed for prep and landfall BUT I’ll still be working on them whenever I can! In the meantime I’ll continue working on my current requests and hopefully post some of them before the storm hits!

Feel free to keep sending requests in! I’m gonna need something to do while this storm goes over us lmao

some observations during the brainstorming period of my “every lord huron song but set roughly chronologically during seasons 1-4 of the magnus archives” project:

“hurricane (johnnie’s theme)” is such a good one because i see it as a montage animatic during s3-ish when jon's interviewing all the avatars and it progresses probably up till 160 for reasons (its literally called johnnie’s theme i Cannot):

“i get a thrill out of playing with fire”: jude perry

“i get a kick outta thunder and lightning”: mike crew

“i get a laugh outta staring at darkness”: manuela dominguez

"i dont feel alive if i aint in the fight": daisy

i’m not sure about the next verse (”i cant sleep when there’s something to do” etc) i might remember something later on as i make my way through s3/4 again. maybe trevor and julia?

1st chorus: just various avatars popping in. elias, mike crew, helen for “real or imagined what does it matter / come inside, can i get you to stay?”

"what is life? only visions / when i die i’m coming right on back for you / who am i? an illusion / would i lie? i’m coming right on back for you”: i want this to be a complicated thing where like...... gertrude and michael mirror/contrast jon and martin so like. the first two lines are gertrude and jon (esp jon finally waking up after s3) and the last two lines are michael being spiraled and martin getting lonely’d and it contrasts gertrude effectively forgetting about michael with jon increasingly worried for martin BUT jon’s worry for martin is interrupted by--

first part of 2nd chorus: elias all the way down

second part of 2nd chorus (”oh little darlin dont you get lonely / look in my eyes, give me one more day”!!!!!!!!!): peter lukas, 159, “i see you”

“come inside can i get you to stay” ends in the safe house

he doesnt deserve it but im gonna have to give peter lukas “ghost on the shore” for 159 the absolute bastard
