Hmmm… I haven’t posted much about Esmé, but she’s the first character I made for this AU (ironically, Naja was one of the last.) I think Naja and Esmé are my favorites, they’re very emblematic of the kind of world this AU takes place in.

I wouldn’t say I personally relate to either of them though, we aren’t similar as people (Although Esmé is slightly inspired by several different girls I’ve met in my life) I just think they’re fun and interesting to draw. I personally relate more to Li and Daiyu (my Renora kids) They’re very much influenced by my relationships that I have with my own siblings; Daiyu acts like my sisters, Li acts like my brothers, but they both act a little bit like me, too. The world is tough, so they have to take care of each other.

Art’s been slow lately, so here, take some doodles of them lol (i’m still figuring out Li’s outfit)

Used Monotype print with water-based intaglio and akua ink for the background, used Micron pens, white gel pens, and alcohol markers for the figure.

𝑬𝒔𝒎𝒆́ does NOT like 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏 😒 (the only GOOD thing about him is that he helped make her siblings)

They LOVE their younger siblings; they made sure to be involved in each of their developments (since they were babies 🥰)

𝑬𝒔𝒎𝒆́ saves drinking blood for only “special occasions”🍷

They've had a crush on 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒐𝒎𝒆 for a while now 🥺💕 (they're hesitant to voice it, though...)

𝑬𝒔𝒎𝒆́ has a tendency to develop crushes quickly, but she keeps her feelings unannounced (these feelings always fade; most view her as either a mistake, a monster, or a political stepping stone 💔)

They approach romance with awkward shyness (they can be quite silver-tongued normally, but that all goes out the window when dealing with someone they like™ 👉👈😳 ... unless it's with 𝑪𝒂𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏, then it's more “combative” 🖕😏)
