Progress being made on the art book!!! I love how this spread is looking. Text is by @ectafoole who is my narrative partner on this project and also just the coolest?? Go follow her.
Fun notes. The pattern (nonfloral) is stomach parasites by artist Ernst Haeckel, who's work is now in the public domain! I highly recommend checking it out. I altered the colors and made the illustrations into a repeating pattern like wallpaper

Pixel art of "Discomedusae" from "Art Forms in Nature" (Ernst Haeckel [Kunstformen der Natur], 1904)
For my own sanity, I'll call this one done now. The version without the tentacles is under the cut, if anyone is interested:

Ernst Haeckel (1834 – 1919)
EDIT: as noted by a recent reblogger, one image was AI so it was deleted. Here’s the link to the original AI image. Great catch and my apologies.

I'm putting together an art book for The Other Happy Place and I wanted to make some graphic design assets/patterns/accents/flourishes to use as I'm putting it together. PROBABLY NO ONE WILL NOTICE but i'm too extra. Maybe it will add to the whole though? Like even if you don't notice it, it will enhance the over all effect?
A lot of these images are coming from altering a public domain designs i found on http://rawpixel.com, some from other stock sites. the yellow one is using illustrations of parasites by Ernst Haeckel.
